I was in the Bayer's Lake Giant Tiger today and had an item ring in higher than the price on the shelf. It was under $10, so I was fully expecting to get it for free based on the Scanner Price Accuracy Code (SPAC). The associate working agreed to change the price to match shelf price, but said they no longer give to for free up to $10 or $10 off if it is over. While I was paying for my order, she called the manager to confirm (I guess I looked surprised when she told me), then came back to confirm that is no longer store practice.
I plan to call the SPAC tomorrow to inquire if Giant Tiger no longer is part of their practice, but also thought I'd check here to see if others have had this experience.

The remaining dukes fight to preserve what civilization is left, but they are distant and isolated. The roads are in disrepair, danger lurks around every corner.
Ajax, called Invincible, now rules here. He pits the different peoples of Vasloria against each other. Elves and men and dwarves; no one quite trusts anyone. This is Ajax’s goal. Religious institutions are outlawed, their churches left in ruin. The old orders are disbanded or subjugated, few continue their attempts to keep the peace and protect the people. The Iron Saint binds the land.
You are a recently founded band of ratcatchers, problem solvers, necessary but apart from proper society. You overwintered in the inn of the Green Dragon, a quiet place in the town of Arlone, east of Bedegar Keep. The Campaign
I'm planning to start with a sandbox style of game seeded with lots of classic, modern, and homebrew adventures. Very much D&D-ish pulp fantasy, but with a bit more narrative bits and the pulpy Savage Worlds system.
Some self direction, some encroaching events, lots of interesting roleplay, delving into the wilderness, and the freedom to get yourself into trouble. It’s up to you which fires to put out or threads to pull, and there’s no way to solve every problem or get every treasure. Players will have the opportunity to become embroiled in duchy politics, build alliances, save enemies, join guilds, and fight lots of crazy shit. Later on the threads will turn more towards a linear adventure, as I want to run The Red Hand of Doom once the PC’s have gone around and have a reputation.
Player Buy-In: The pulpy style of play where the GM just drops you in a town with a bunch of hooks and a wild land, then you have to work out your own shit out has to sound cool. Being interested in having your own goals and ambitions and working to fulfill them is always helpful, but just wanting to pull on threads also works. Likewise, wanting to engage and invest in other player's characters and NPC's is the best. Your characters should give a shit, they don’t need to be selfless paragons, but they should be connected to the local area enough to care what happens to it.
Logistics
System: Savage Worlds Adventure Edition (SWADE), with some Fantasy Companion content and a bunch of my own homebrew. Those new to the system are welcome.
Format: Mostly over Discord voice with SavageBot to handle dice/cards. Owlbear Rodeo for battlemaps.
Date/Time: Looking to have a session zero on Friday the 17th, at 7:00 PM CST. Following sessions will be weekly on Friday's at the same time. Sessions will typically be around 4 hours long. This will be a long term campaign, so regular commitment will be required.
Number of Players: Currently three have joined up, two from old campaigns and one new player, looking for probably one or two more.

Hi, my wife and I are trying for a baby thru IUI with cryobanked known donor sperm starting in August/september. For background, we are working with a fertility clinic (feel free to message me if you have questions about skipping KD quarantine while working with a clinic) to start off with unmedicated IUI. I am currently on the pill and will be thru at June, I am 32 cis F and I’ve had basic fertility bloodwork done recently (pre pill) and can do all the required imaging etc while on the Pill as per my doc, and prefer to stay on it as long as possible because I like the period timing control.
My question has to do with work travel. I travel for work 1-2 times a month for 2-3 days at a time, plus a good amount of personal travel. I am really nervous about the logistics of this with timing IUI with frozen sperm. My boyfriend (S, 35 male) and I (30 female) have been dating for a year and a half, and living together for 7 months. I have been considering breaking up with him following a few conflicts over the past months. When I brought this up to him, he apologized profusely for his attitude and promised he would start seeing a therapist and would never hurt me again. Is it reasonable to give him another chance? Am I overreacting? Am I overly sensitive?
Just to for a bit of context: I am neurodivergent and have some difficulty reading between the lines. I did ask my therapist what to do… but she doesn’t give me plain answers and wants me to come to realizations by myself… Also english is a third language for me, sorry for any mistakes.
So here are the conflicts I mentioned above: 1– A few weeks ago, S invited his parents and 3 brothers, as well as my sister, to our place for dinner. After a nice meal, we all sat down to watch TV. As the evening progressed, his brothers and my sister left one by one, but his parents did not budge. I eventually realized that they were going to spend the night. No one informed me of this, nor did they ask me if I had plans or if I agreed to it. I dont’t know if this changes anything, but this is my house, and my boyfriend lives in, rent-free, as I have a higher paying job. When we went to sleep, I told S that, in the future, when his parents decided to stay over, I wanted to be told in advance. He got defensive, raised his voice and said that he felt that I was telling him to ask for my permission to invite his parents. That I didn’t want to see them. That, in his culture, family doesn’t ask. That he didn’t know they would sleep over, etc. I slept on the couch that night. The next morning, I tried to deescalate the situation. I explained to him that I did not want him to ask for permission. That this was his home too and he could invite whoever he wanted, but that I preferred to know in advance. He said not to worry, because his parents would probably never want to come over again as he felt that I was cold to them and ignored them all night by being on my phone on the couch (which is true, I was upset). However, his parents never told him this… and did come back. I asked why he would say such a thing if they never mentioned it. He explained that he knew his parents by heart and knew that they would react this way. I then accused him of emotionally manipulating and gaslighting me. He thought about this for a few hours, then agreed that he did gaslight me, albeit unknowingly, because our fight brought back insecurities from a previous relationship. I forgave him and we moved on. He promised he’d see a therapist and would never hurt me this way again.
2–S borrowed a few thousand dollars for a failing family business owned by his brothers. As 6 weeks passed by and no one mentioned reimbursing me, I proposed that each of the brothers pay me 100$ a month until the debt was paid off. He agreed and fought with his brothers multiple times, but they would repeatedly say they have no money at the time, or change the subject. In the end, S took it upon himself to pay their debt, and does so by sending me 500$ every month. Following this, S’s work computer broke, and a new one would cost between 4 and 5K. He asked if I could help out, and this made me panic, as I wondered if he was using me, which I expressed to him. He comforted me in the moment, but a few hours later, he told me that he decided to get a loan from the bank to be able to pay his family’s debt as soon as possible, so that I don’t feel used. He seemed mad and raised his voice, but he denied being angry at me. “I am only angry at myself for putting myself in a situation to be told that I use someone.” I felt bad and apologized multiple times and the conflict deescalated. We ended up making up.
3– We went to visit my family for a week. He was a bit sick and did not socialize much. He spent most of his time on his phone, in my childhood room. My mom was worried about him. My sister tried to include him into activities with little success and later told me that he was participating in family conversations only in my presence, but that as soon as I stepped out of the room, he’d pick up his phone and ignore everyone else. I did not say anything to him, as I knew he was not feeling well. However, one evening, I had planned to see some childhood friends. And my mom asked S to have dinner with the family, but he refused, and went on a car ride and to McDonalds instead. Mom proposed different food options, worried that he didn’t like the food, but he refused. This made me very angry, but I did not want to seem accusatory, so I decided to let it go for the moment, until I was calmer and had found the right words to bring this up respectfully. He drove me to meet my friends later on, and blew up in the car, yelling that he felt I was cold and that he knew I was mad and that he knew I was about to explode but couldn’t handle the wait anymore. I cried and told him that I just needed some time to deal with my feelings and I had the right not to talk to him about everything that bothered me. He yelled at me the next day as well, saying that he was “worried he would get tired of my attitude”. I later asked my sister if I seemed cold towards S to her, and she said no. S and I later talked about all this, and he apologized profusely and said that he was tired and sick and worried.
4–He asked that I do not talk to my therapist about him because he doesn’t want people talking about him and knowing his business. We had an argument about it. I told him that this felt controlling and he recognized this and apologized dozens of times, explaining that he did not know about confidentiality, and that he overreacted because this brought back past trauma. He doesn’t mind my therapist anymore.
And other such little arguments where he reacts because of past trauma. Aside from these arguments, he is the sweetest man. Makes pancakes every morning. Massage twice a week. Kind. Very loving. Very generous. Sacrifices his own wellbeing for those he loves. Wears his heart on his sleeve. He left his better paying job to spend more time with me. We do a lot of activities together. Cleans. Cooks. Listens to me. Supports me. We have similar life goals. Drives 30 minutes into town if I want ice cream. Makes my lunchbox every morning. I really love the man. Plus, he’s sooooo good looking.
I was ready to leave him after the last argument (the yelling while at my parents’)… and I told him about it. He accepted the possibility of a break up, saying he only wants to know I am happy. But he asked for one last chance. I told him that I felt as if I couldn’t speak to him because of his reactions and that it felt somewhat abusive. He said that I was right and he understood that his reactions are not healthy and that he has to deal with his trauma. And he gave me examples where he thought he could’ve acted better, which showed that he really understood where the manipulation/overreaction occurred. He promised he’d never get upset at me again for no reason and things have been perfect for the past 2 weeks.
Even when I bring up something that upsets me, he listens and adresses the issue calmly and kindly.
Yet, I feel that I have trouble forgiving all the fights we’ve had where I felt muted. I don’t know if these are such grave offenses of if I’m just being overly sensitive. I tend to be very naive and I’ve been burned badly in the past, so now… am I being overly cautious. Are these incidents really so bad if he understands what he’s done?

He seemed mad and raised his voice, but he denied being angry at me. “I am only angry at myself for putting myself in a situation to be told that I use someone.” I felt bad and apologized multiple times and the conflict deescalated. We ended up making up.
3– We went to visit my family for a week. He was a bit sick and did not socialize much. He spent most of his time on his phone, in my childhood room. My mom was worried about him. My sister tried to include him into activities with little success and later told me that he was participating in family conversations only in my presence, but that as soon as I stepped out of the room, he’d pick up his phone and ignore everyone else. I did not say anything to him, as I knew he was not feeling well. However, one evening, I had planned to see some childhood friends. And my mom asked S to have dinner with the family, but he refused, and went on a car ride and to McDonalds instead. Mom proposed different food options, worried that he didn’t like the food, but he refused. This made me very angry, but I did not want to seem accusatory, so I decided to let it go for the moment, until I was calmer and had found the right words to bring this up respectfully. He drove me to meet my friends later on, and blew up in the car, yelling that he felt I was cold and that he knew I was mad and that he knew I was about to explode but couldn’t handle the wait anymore. I cried and told him that I just needed some time to deal with my feelings and I had the right not to talk to him about everything that bothered me. He yelled at me the next day as well, saying that he was “worried he would get tired of my attitude”. I later asked my sister if I seemed cold towards S to her, and she said no. S and I later talked about all this, and he apologized profusely and said that he was tired and sick and worried.
4–He asked that I do not talk to my therapist about him because he doesn’t want people talking about him and knowing his business. We had an argument about it. I told him that this felt controlling and he recognized this and apologized dozens of times, explaining that he did not know about confidentiality, and that he overreacted because this brought back past trauma. He doesn’t mind my therapist anymore.
And other such little arguments where he reacts because of past trauma. Aside from these arguments, he is the sweetest man. Makes pancakes every morning. Massage twice a week. Kind. Very loving. Very generous. Sacrifices his own wellbeing for those he loves. Wears his heart on his sleeve. He left his better paying job to spend more time with me. We do a lot of activities together. Cleans. Cooks. Listens to me. Supports me. We have similar life goals. Drives 30 minutes into town if I want ice cream. Makes my lunchbox every morning. I really love the man. Plus, he’s sooooo good looking.
I was ready to leave him after the last argument (the yelling while at my parents’)… and I told him about it. He accepted the possibility of a break up, saying he only wants to know I am happy. But he asked for one last chance. I told him that I felt as if I couldn’t speak to him because of his reactions and that it felt somewhat abusive. He said that I was right and he understood that his reactions are not healthy and that he has to deal with his trauma. And he gave me examples where he thought he could’ve acted better, which showed that he really understood where the manipulation/overreaction occurred. He promised he’d never get upset at me again for no reason and things have been perfect for the past 2 weeks.
Even when I bring up something that upsets me, he listens and adresses the issue calmly and kindly.
Yet, I feel that I have trouble forgiving all the fights we’ve had where I felt muted. I don’t know if these are such grave offenses of if I’m just being overly sensitive. I tend to be very naive and I’ve been burned badly in the past, so now… am I being overly cautious. Are these incidents really so bad if he understands what he’s done?

Hello everybody! I believe this topic can be quite stupid, but sometimes it really bothers me and I'm not sure where I can seek help. I've (23) been married to a man (27) for half a year. We had a number of problems at the beginning: together we were overcoming our previous relationships with our ex-partners, solving some problems concerning his manner of communication and my hypersensitivity, our insecurities, some pivotal moments like my graduation from the university and moving from my parents for the first time. He came to my country to be with me and later I left everything I had to move to another country with him. We're learning how to navigate through our conflicts, though at first it wasn't easy at all. Every time I wanted to share my feelings I felt numb and couldn't say anything and when I finally were saying something he felt it as an attack. We solved almost ALL of that and now it's much better, but... Sometimes I have a feeling that something is wrong. Sometimes I think that we're too different: he likes to spend time at home playing videogames, I'm a sociable person and I can't spend a week without going out at least twice. He lives in the moment, I prefer to plan everything to feel safe. He doesn't need some cute gestures and romance, and I feel frustrated every time I remember how many flowers and compliments he was giving me at the beginning of our relationship and now. We find compromises. We have one day-off for me and one day-off for him. I explain to him that it is important for me to get flowers as a sign of his love and care sometimes. Once we went to a couples' counseling, but the psychologist just told us that we have good communication and didn't say anything interesting or useful. In short, sometimes I just get tired of this necessity to explain how to treat me, how not to hurt me, with these attempts to find compromises and stuff. He hears me, I also hear him, I feel good dynamics, but I've been in a long-term relationship before (6 years), and it felt much easier, to be honest.

Hey all. I've been playing Helldivers 2 for about a month now and must say it's fantastic. I'm brand new to the sub and felt like sharing some thoughts so here goes! Feel free to agree or disagree with anything as I'd love to hear what anyone has to say.
Let's get the obvious hot topic out of the way first. The new Warbond! A little lack-luster to be sure but not worthless. I think the new booster is almost a must-have for high diffi bug missions and incendiary impacts are nice! Although I don't understand how they really leave room for the traditional incendiary grenades to have a place in any loadout.
As for the guns the Pummeler is the clear W here. The stunlocking feels fantastic especially when you have friendly divers playing around you. The other new primaries and secondary seem to lack an identity amongst already established choices so hopefully they get some work done to them. (This has actually made me wonder if Palestedt's earlier ask for delaying the warbond may have been a sneaky hope that we would give them some more time to work it out, but I don't know why he wouldn't just ask directly then given the circumstances.)
Lastly on the warbond, armors. And I wanted to talk about them last in order to segue into armor in general as a topic. Not much going on in the warbond. All armors have perk and value combos we already have access to. New looks are nice but what we really want are new traits or trait combos we aren't used to, which brings me to armor in general.
I can respect the idea that armor is less used as an impactful choice and more along the lines of a playstyle selection. I wouldn't say this is a problem and in fact might be exactly what Arrowhead is going for, however it seems like it would be cool to shake some of these perks up a bit. Servo-assist + Arc resist? Explosive resist + Extra stims? Recoil reduce + Reduced Detection? Ok that last one might be too good but you get the idea. The fact that we are already starting to pile armors that have the exact same function makes me wonder if we should just have 1 shown in our list with a pullout menu to select what style we want it in. Maybe something for the future to decrease clutter. Also on the topic of NEW perks why don't we have a fire resist armor yet? I'd almost consider it solely on the issue of I still get insta-melted by flame hulks fairly often. But aside from that it would be a pick that allows more aggression when running flamethrower and might even be worthwhile to run on planets with fire tornadoes.
So let's get to talking weapons a little. Obviously in a PVE setting, fun is paramount. Even if a gun is powerful, if it's a painful slog to use it, it isn't fun. A gun can also feel good, but be functionally useless, and this also isn't fun. Creating a diverse armory of weapons with different functions and making all of them useful and interesting in their own way is hard. You never want content that is so bad that nobody uses it. But creating weapons so powerful that you're sandbagging merely by picking anything else is a problem as well. One of the boons that Helldivers 2 has to it's name is how the factions differ from eachother and how they demand different loadouts. For example, I love where the new Blitzer is. It's a powerful choice for bug squashing, but will leave you wondering how you can possibly close distance against bots. I think this kind of balance is great and not every weapon need be effective in every scenario. But I also love the Sickle, and have no issue taking it to either bugs or bots. It's shortcomings become clear against large targets. With all of this in mind, it makes me more excited for the introduction of a new faction, and how many more options the devs will gain for weapon balances within differing scenarios. What loadouts will Illuminate demand? Will under-used loadouts finally see some use planetside? I'm not going to really talk about the eruptoquasar changes or how I feel about them since I'm sure everyone is exhausted with that. I was never an eruptor fan anyway being a gigachad autocannon enjoyer. My primary is usually a small target clearing tool. I will say on the topic of the Slugger, I really only think they slightly over-nerfed it. I took it out just the other day and was surprised at how useful it still really is which goes to show just how immensely powerful it was pre-nerf. Maybe pulling it up just a little will make it a good choice on the bot front again. Aside from the newer weapons I have to say I actually think Arrowhead has done fairly well here. I see lots of varying weapons on the battlefield as I see divers using all sorts of primaries and supports that they find fun and useful. Also a little side note on the Spear: I think if they manage to make the locking mechanism a bit less wonky, I think it has the potential to be one of the most powerful tertiary picks in the game.
I also wanted to spend a moment with the change to how patrols work. Even as someone who will solo dive from time to time, I actually don't mind it too much because what it means for full 4 person games. With this change, effectively the only things a Helldiver can do wrong, is die or team kill. You are making the mission easier simply by virtue of being on the battlefield. This means that as long as you aren't murdering your fellow divers, (traitors excluded) just staying alive is helpful. Seeing as every diver (not factoring in IRB booster) brings 5 reinforcements to the table, you really aren't dragging down your team at all until you've cost the team MORE than 5 reinforcements. I think this allows for maximum freedom of playstyle around your team and I feel outweighs the downsides of diving without a full squad.
Since I brought up a booster there, let's talk about them a little. They are, well, weird to me. I simply don't see a world where increased reinforcement budget and flexible reinforcement budget are anything but planning for failure, and if you are failing, maybe it's because you brought them. Full ammo (and notably stims) on drop, injury resist, less patrols and bonus stamina are all such good choices it's hard to part with them for anything. The new booster I think is an example of the kind of stuff we need to shake up what's brought on missions more and I hope to see more like it in the future.
Another thing I can think of I'd like to bring up for now is orders. While I think we should always be able to work on whatever front we choose to play on, maybe we should have something available to sweeten the deal a little when doing missions that fall under the major order? Not sure if an exp bonus or anything would do it or be on the table at all but it's a thought. Being someone who enjoys being a part of completing the major orders whenever they are active, this brings me to a minor complaint. If the major order is on the Automaton front, but my PERSONAL order is to get flamethrower kills... I'm not bringing that to fight bots sorry. Maybe this is something that won't or doesn't even need to be changed, but it does bother me a little to be pulled away from the team objective to hold a terminid barbecue on the other side of the galaxy. I suppose there's always just choosing not to do the personal order in a day too. As I said before, this is a very minor gripe.
Stratagems almost all seem good and useable in a variety of situations except I can't for the life of me understand why Eagle Cluster Bomb has more uses than Eagle Strafing Run. Seems like just a straight buff to Strafing Run to have 5 or even 6 uses (adjusted with ship module) per rearm would land it safely in the category of probably still never used unless I could find a way to consistantly kill more than 4-6 light enemies with it.

Hi everyone - I'm giving my regular DM a break for the summer and plan to run a hack-and-slash dungeon crawler for the group. Thought is that some people may have plans, vacations, etc,. so missed sessions are expected and therefore want to have low story so people feel free to jump back in.
I'm thinking we will just level after each session so people can feel a satisfactory power level by the end of the summer. Any suggestions on modules, adventure paths, books, whatever that may fill my purpose? Thinking 2-3 fights per level from levels 3-15. I'm happy to mash things together and fill in gaps but was hoping to get some bones to work with.

Does a metal mast affect the coax counterpoise of an end fed antenna? Is it better to use a fiberglass or some other non-conductive mast?
My plan was to install a j-pole for VHF/UHF at the top of the mast, then a transformer and antenna wire attachment 6 to 12 inches below the j-pole stub for an end fed wre antenna. And possibly experiment with the transformer closer to the ground, trying both an inverted L and a sloper. A metal pole would probably negatively affect the antenna in an inverted L.

My plan was to install a j-pole for VHF/UHF at the top of the mast, then a transformer and antenna wire attachment 6 to 12 inches below the j-pole stub for an end fed wre antenna. And possibly experiment with the transformer closer to the ground, trying both an inverted L and a sloper. A metal pole would probably negatively affect the antenna in an inverted L.

2024.05.14 01:37 ndyingaardvark Start date has moved and I have mixed feelings (Alas, a vent)
I have an update to this horrendous life of mine and I am unable to find out what to do at this time, as I've been left floundering.
I've been informed this afternoon that my start date has moved to an as of yet unspecified date due to a death at the facility. It was not a malicious crime that occurred, but all the same I will not be going on May 21st as previously expressed to me.
While I do understand the position that the campus is in at this time, and I would love to give them time to mourn, I must now consider how my life compares in the balance. I have 8 days until I was supposed to leave to the location, and I only have secure shelter for that long.
I live in the desert, and already this week it has reached above 95°F, and it is only getting hotter. Soon, we will be reaching triple digits consistently. The city which I am in is currently cracking down more than ever on the homeless, loiterers, and even stopping those who have the misfortune to look a misfit, as I have discovered this month already. I will not even be secure within the heat relief centers - as those are being policed as well. I must consider my safety in this matter, because now I am back to wondering where will I stay? Will I be able to eat? Will I be medically sound? How long will I have to be on the streets again?
I do believe this to be an all around horrible matter, but, as crass as it is for me to say, life has already been lost - we should make sure another does not follow. I've expressed, in the past, the precariousness of my situation to my admissions counselor. He said he would ensure that I would not go back to the street - and yet here I am, anxiously waiting for a departure that isn't several hundred miles, but instead several hundred feet.
I've tried exhausting my options with the local hotlines for those in situations such as mine, however I've been informed that on such short notice - and for such an indefinite amount of time, which I likely cannot have a job for - they cannot assist me, as I do not fit the criteria that most shelters specify.
I feel physically weak and defeated, and though it is not anyone's fault to the best of my knowledge and it is absolutely disgusting of me - I can't help but feel hate towards the consequences of events.
Feel free to chime in with advice of any sort, or commiserate, or chide me. I do not have any current friends to stay with, my boyfriend is too far for me to live with, and I've no living family within 1,000 miles. What twisted luck has rolled the dice this way?

I've been informed this afternoon that my start date has moved to an as of yet unspecified date due to a death at the facility. It was not a malicious crime that occurred, but all the same I will not be going on May 21st as previously expressed to me.
While I do understand the position that the campus is in at this time, and I would love to give them time to mourn, I must now consider how my life compares in the balance. I have 8 days until I was supposed to leave to the location, and I only have secure shelter for that long.
I live in the desert, and already this week it has reached above 95°F, and it is only getting hotter. Soon, we will be reaching triple digits consistently. The city which I am in is currently cracking down more than ever on the homeless, loiterers, and even stopping those who have the misfortune to look a misfit, as I have discovered this month already. I will not even be secure within the heat relief centers - as those are being policed as well. I must consider my safety in this matter, because now I am back to wondering where will I stay? Will I be able to eat? Will I be medically sound? How long will I have to be on the streets again?
I do believe this to be an all around horrible matter, but, as crass as it is for me to say, life has already been lost - we should make sure another does not follow. I've expressed, in the past, the precariousness of my situation to my admissions counselor. He said he would ensure that I would not go back to the street - and yet here I am, anxiously waiting for a departure that isn't several hundred miles, but instead several hundred feet.
I've tried exhausting my options with the local hotlines for those in situations such as mine, however I've been informed that on such short notice - and for such an indefinite amount of time, which I likely cannot have a job for - they cannot assist me, as I do not fit the criteria that most shelters specify.
I feel physically weak and defeated, and though it is not anyone's fault to the best of my knowledge and it is absolutely disgusting of me - I can't help but feel hate towards the consequences of events.
Feel free to chime in with advice of any sort, or commiserate, or chide me. I do not have any current friends to stay with, my boyfriend is too far for me to live with, and I've no living family within 1,000 miles. What twisted luck has rolled the dice this way?

I have only had a few free nights with clear skies as of yet and this was by far the most compelling capture. On the few nights I have been out I usually see 3-4 meteorites and a few dozen movers of which almost all I assume to be satellites. I apologize for the jiggle. The tripod mount failed already (c'mon Luna) and I have yet to secure a helmet mount. I saw the object with the naked eye first. It was bright and low. My best guess was 500-1000ft up and 10x+ the luminosity of Venus. Utterly silent as the audio and me whispering to it like a dork attests, or so my wife says. I can't say for sure with the movement of the binocs but I think it turned behind the Doug and the speed varied towards the end. I thought it was going to stop. Oddly enough I was headed to the front yard to keep recording and found that my unit was dead. The batteries were pulled off the charger right before I went out. The next set lasted me til 2 am and about 30 min into the following night. That ever happened to anyone else? Feel free to ask questions, I'm happy to answer. I understand I'll probably have to sacrifice one thing or another but as long as I don't get COVID and become more crippled than I already am, I can go for it.
I'm just really stressed since I uhh... I can't really sell a mask, should it not fit me, nor can I go buying a bunch. I don't want to spend money I'm REALLY going to need just to get sick and become even less functional anyways, yknow?

Size
- I've got a small/medium rounded-square face. Bridge of nose-to-chin is about 4- 4.5", and mouth is 2" across.
- I've been wearing 3m Aura N95 9205 masks, but I've noticed my face seems to be too short to get a proper seal against my chin, which is scary (I can randomly smell things while wearing it and I'm like ah fuck *holds breath*). I just used my last one anyway.
- I've got a kind of button nose with a bridge bump, and round wire glasses that I can't see without. I don't really have the funds to go buying new glasses AND a reusable respirator unfortunately
- I don't have the cheese for a flo mask, nor do I have the funds for having to frequently replace filters - I know it's based on how long it'll be worn, but cheap and long lasting is ideal right now
- The last point is really important, especially since I may be leaving home and living in a shelter or bumming it soon, either way I'm gonna need a solid mask to keep me safe until I can get a safe private space to sanitize and hole up in.
- So uh.. cheap, like I can buy a pack of replacement filters, and long lasting, meaning that pack will last me at least six months so I don't have to worry about it anymore. Kind of an apocalypse mask, honestly.

One of the first things when you learn to invest is to be really careful, especially when you are short selling. There is the potential of infinite losses. This is a fundamental principle, yet some big hedge funds are acting like the rules and common sense do not apply to them.
They feel overconfident, having the support of the banks and thinking that they have superior insight and control of the software systems that move the market. They also seem to believe they can manipulate them without consequences, seeing as their movements and accounts are barely supervised and regulated. So overconfident, that they've already lost a gamble, trying to take advantage of the pandemic while short selling companies like AMC and GME. Taking for granted that the individual investors - the people - wouldn't be able to see what they are doing.
Do not underestimate the people. We are getting used to surviving at least one pandemic every century, we have built the pyramids and also expressed our anger as in the French revolution. This time, the individual investors, without any organization, are at their own risk, risking the food for their families and the shelter of their rented apartments, are investing in our future, the people's future… Back in 2008 the big banks were playing dangerous games with the real estate market and their mistakes destroyed a lot of jobs, putting our people in the street. Some of us even lost loved ones because they felt that the society they lived in no longer had a place for them anymore.
Now we are saying to the big hedge funds: You don’t know how to invest the money healthily, each one of us can do it better.
They control many mainstream media sources and have a multitude of tricks at their disposal, creating unnecessary complexity and delaying the final outcome. However, we are still here enduring and reaching the final question that needs an official answer:
Is the United States market - the biggest market of the world and the key reference point for global markets - free and healthy or undermined and manipulated?
Meme stocks... We are not going to disappear in two weeks, we are making history. This is not investment advice, this is a change of rules call, a health check to the market, a well needed wealth redistribution. We have the possibility to send a message to the system: in the current world the people are aware.

They feel overconfident, having the support of the banks and thinking that they have superior insight and control of the software systems that move the market. They also seem to believe they can manipulate them without consequences, seeing as their movements and accounts are barely supervised and regulated. So overconfident, that they've already lost a gamble, trying to take advantage of the pandemic while short selling companies like AMC and GME. Taking for granted that the individual investors - the people - wouldn't be able to see what they are doing.
Do not underestimate the people. We are getting used to surviving at least one pandemic every century, we have built the pyramids and also expressed our anger as in the French revolution. This time, the individual investors, without any organization, are at their own risk, risking the food for their families and the shelter of their rented apartments, are investing in our future, the people's future… Back in 2008 the big banks were playing dangerous games with the real estate market and their mistakes destroyed a lot of jobs, putting our people in the street. Some of us even lost loved ones because they felt that the society they lived in no longer had a place for them anymore.
Now we are saying to the big hedge funds: You don’t know how to invest the money healthily, each one of us can do it better.
They control many mainstream media sources and have a multitude of tricks at their disposal, creating unnecessary complexity and delaying the final outcome. However, we are still here enduring and reaching the final question that needs an official answer:
Is the United States market - the biggest market of the world and the key reference point for global markets - free and healthy or undermined and manipulated?
Meme stocks... We are not going to disappear in two weeks, we are making history. 2024.05.14 01:23 Aktoruk Aizen vs Kaden (Bleach vs Guardian Tales) ‘To Strike Down Those Above’. UPDATED/IMPROVED CONNECTIONS + update on Aktoruks future
 | Real Talk, it’s a bit rough, so no shame in scrolling past. Go past the Spoiler warning for the stuff related to the MU.I’ve kept a lot hidden from my online persona, but I’ll be honest for a moment. Currently, in a separate province, my mom is going for scans. There’s a very real chance that she has cancer, and the thought frankly destroys me.I’ve decided that I’ll be taking a ‘break’ after this post. I truly do adore this community, but personal things are just not doing great. I wish to avoid the risk of high emotions I am currently susceptible to. I’ll probably be sticking around to lurk at times, but it’ll be low key. I wished to make something more, and decided that making things smoother for the MU I’m most proud of is a good way to leave things. When I return, I have many more projects planned. Scripts, MU’s, and even Scaling Scans. Look forward to that, while I do the opposite (of looking forward in general, I’m excited for the projects). Depending on the speed of things, I may know how things go at the end of this week. There are two cases. In the best case, I will be back shortly after this news. Absolutely massive spoilers for both Bleach and Guardian Tales. Only read if you are fine with that.immediate Basic Core connections-Villains -Villainous allies -Both From Asian (east) countries -Ancient beings in comparison to human lifespan, but not particularly for their species. -Yes, ‘en’ is the final part of their five-letter names. This is not something that should sell you on the matchup. In Depth/Actually Good Connections -Long-term threats in their respective series. Constant presences which utilize the protagonists as tests. -While among the most powerful characters in their verse, intelligence is what makes them terrifying. Capable of manipulating their way into power, influence, and secrecy. -Prior to a massive reveal, both are thought to be allies to the ‘good side’ (Captain Aizen and Kaden the Hero), with the few who knew being ancient scientists that got locked away to prevent word from spreading. -Their major goals involve utilizing an unknown power (Labose and the Hogyoku) which is made via mass sacrifice. Both would seemingly succeed in mastering this power, though it is purposefully left vague if they hold complete control. -During the process of obtaining this power, both would infect others with a primary ‘disease’ of the series (Hollowfication and L-Bacteria). This includes characters of high power (Several Captains and Lieutenants and A Hero of the Champions Sword + A Dragon). -Both have purposes for these actions which seem good in a skewed lens (Ending the existence of the Soul King and Preventing the Loop from Continuing). These events both involve a higher power (Potentially the highest in the series). -But through a regular lens, these plans are fucked ways to handle the issues. This is due to issues with both characters mentality (Aizen was incapable of seeing others as equal to him and Kaden was burdened with hundreds-thousands of his past timelines). -Their eventual ascension would first turn them into monstrous beings due to their views of power, but would both return to forms close to original at their strongest. -Similarity in armies. Lorraine and Gin are both ‘right-hands’ with closed eyes, who would eventually attempt to overthrow when the ascension had already begun. The Arracnars and L-Monsters are beings from the series that were manipulated by the characters. They would accept ‘power’ which allowed them to be either pawns or tests. -Opposites of their main/orginal world (SS and The Otherside) would be where their plans of action took place. -Both utilize dimensional rifts to travel. -They would be defeated by the ‘experimental’ protagonists (Ichigo and The Guardian) which they had kept an eye on with interest to their plans. -Both would end up aiding the protagonist against a further threat (Ywach and *The Fairies). While it is questionable whether this was simply due to shared interest or a show of empathy, both were ultimately good actions which saved the lives of many. *The Fairies do not currently have an official title. Contrasts: -Bisecting/Permanently crippling others was used against Kaden (via Clara), while Aizen used it for his plan (Taking a SK piece from Rangiku when attempting to create a Hogyoku). -Kaden truly believes himself to be doing a noble thing, while Aizen is aware that what he does is wrong (he just doesn’t care). -Kaden shows genuine struggle to kill his old allies (Such as Erina), while Aizen has no issues harming his fellow captains and his Squads lieutenant. Animation Potential: Kaden holds this back due to GT being incredibly niche. Aizen has a wide variety of both sprite and 2d models to work with (DB has already used a sprite for him). While Kaden only has his ingame sprite, which does not fit Aizen’s. In their simplest forms, both are not easy draws. In their monstrous forms, Aizen is a little more difficult and Kaden is horrid. Kaden does have some stuff to work with for creation of a model (plenty of ingame art), but that’s the issue, it would have to be fan-made. Fight Potential: -Army fight potential with Arrancars vs L-Monsters. -End of army battle with Espada vs Laura, Morrian, and the L-Titans. -Begin in base forms, simple sword fight. Kaden has his staff Repentance and Aizen has his Zanpakuto Kyoka Suigetsu. Both are capable in close-quarters combat. Aizen will Utilize his Kido for an Advantage vs Kaden’s usage of Ice and Chains. Kaden takes the upper hand, stabbing Aizen with Repentance. Only for it to be revealed that he was under Kyoka Suigetsu, and killed Clara (or an image of her, at least) -First evolution: Cocoon Aizen vs First Phase Infected Kaden. Similar fighting style, Kaden focusing more on Chains, L-Flowers, and ice than before. Honestly, the least interesting part of the fight, as both are similar to the first forms. The one thing I’ll give this is Gin and Lorraine both attempting to take them out would be best fit here. Gin vs Kaden and Lorraine vs Aizen. They’ll lose, but it gives a path to the next part. -Second Evolution: Butterfly Aizen vs Second Phase Infected. At this point both utilize a lot more of their ranged attacks. It’s very much similar to the other evolutions though, just with more monstrous canvas’s. At this point Kaden has a Labose realm that he utilizes, which can serve as a counter of some degree to Kyoka Suigetsu. Though it has an obvious weakness with the crystals, so Aizen has an actual out. -Final Evolution: ‘Sealed’ Aizen vs Final Phase Kaden. Both back to Human forms. Aizen being fused with his Zanpakuto means that it’s now fists vs Sword (Kaden is using the Disgraced Heroes Blade). Both utilize ranged attacks. Kaden’s storms vs Aizens Kido. While I’m not sure whether it would technically work, Kaden using a dimension slash to break free of Kyoka Suigetsu would be sick. -Death: Two ways. Reaching the end of the fight, both combatants stand to look at each other. For a brief moment, they flash to their ‘good’ forms. Captain Aizen and Kaden the Hero. Perhaps things could be different had their minds been in better spots. Regardless, should Kaden win, he erases Aizen via Labose. Should Aizen win, he destroys Kaden with a Cero. Debate:Note: One thing I wish to do once I return is make a proper and studied look into uni Bleach. I do not think my speed debating did justice to what I’m still certain one. But I need to ensure I’m not on a path without bearing.This was created with Uni Aizen in mind, and I know it a slippery slope, but this current debate is using that for the sake of storytelling a close fight. I understand that it’s flawed until/unless I come with the proof, but I’ve opted to make this choice. I will also be using the lower interpretation of Kaden (Universal rather than Mutli or higher). As the debate has an obvious winner in this case, regardless of where Aizen gets scaled. Win Cons: Unlike a lot of Aizen Matchups, he actually has a loss condition that doesn’t rely on being stat-stomped. Labose has erasure capabilities, proving capable of wiping timelines completely. Kaden will need to weaken/overpower Aizen to manage this, but just in the same way someone would need to for a regular kill. Kaden is limited in his rebirth, and unlike Aizen, is capable of dying once he reaches his peak. The longer the fight goes on, the better chance Aizen has of landing a killing blow. I will not be considering the memories stored within the champions sword. While it would be a restoration of the Kaden that fought Aizen, it is reliant on a continuing loop (an outside force). If Aizen kills the body of the current timeline, that is absolutely close enough to be called a victory. Strength: Aizen takes this due to affecting the three realms (3 Universes) while Kaden only affects 2. It’s close, but Aizen just has a larger showing. Durability: Same as Strength, as it’s a showing of 3 Universes to 2. Speed: Likewise, the ability to nearly instantly affect 3 universes is higher than affecting 2, which means Aizen is presumably faster. Both have similar capabilities with dimensional travel and teleportation, so this is actually a close stat. Experience: Both are centuries old at least, with all being dedicated to fighting or research. But Kaden has hundreds, if not thousands, of loops worth of memories as well. This is a wash for Kaden. Intelligence: Tie, both not only show incredibly similar cognitive capability, but they both focus on manipulation. There’s nothing to show that either has a notable advantage. Skill: For use of extended abilities, Aizen’s Kido and Kyoka Suigetsu is far more impressive than Kaden’s ice, chains, and Labose attacks. Kaden is far more impressive than Aizen, due to being a long-term swordsman primarily, and capable of beating primordial sword fighters. I give it a tie, but unlike for intel as it’s because they have a roughly equal amount of advantages, rather than being equal in everything. Powers: Even with Labose having the potential to counter it, Aizen still has immortality. Kaden also has no good counters to mind fucks. Aizen takes this. Weapons: I’m treating this as ‘army’, as it’s unfair to include the more power-like Kyoka Sugetsu. Likewise a tie, because Aizen has a more impressive variety of Arrancars, but Kaden utilizes his forces far more effectively. Aizen has no issue killing of valuable allies, but Kaden knows how to make only necessary sacrifices. Winner: Should we utilize the prior sackings, Aizen wins. He’ll need to be wary of Labose, a power that proves to be a risk to his immortality, but Kaden can’t take advantage of that unless he can get through Aizen’s incredible variety and Kyoka Suigetsu. All Aizen needs to do is continue forcing Kaden on the back foot, eventually his evolution will peak and a kill becomes possible. Kaden won’t be able to find a victory in 9/10 cases. With mid-dif (due to Kaden having very possibly chances at victory), Aizen is the winner. |
