My wife's timeline is exactly the same. I never received status updates indicating that the card was picked up by USPS or delivered. USCIS also did not provide me with the USPS tracking number. I obtained the tracking information from USPS's Informed Delivery service.

So, I hoped I was coming into the home stretch. But I find myself in a heads you lose, tails you lose sort of predicament. I previously posted about the attorney wanting me to attend a Zoom meeting with the insurance company attorney about the MSA. Apparently the Zoom meeting was held with the two opposing attorneys and two representatives from "CAREGUARD" about the MSA. The attorneys did attend and were given a presentation about CAREGUARD and what they do, by two representatives from this MSA administrator (a financial company). My attorney told me that he spent time, maybe 30 minutes, listening to the presentation by the representatives. He said he fought very hard to get the other side to agree with a lump sum, but they simply will not consider that. He also told me he was very impressed with the representatives from the MSA administration company.
When he told me about this presentation, I got a sinking feeling. I have attended many sales meetings in my career and it is pretty clear to me that this is a product being sold to the attorneys and the insurance company. Not to me and not for my benefit. I was tempted to ask him if they gave him some pens or something to be so enthusiastic about them. If I want to exit the WC system and be in charge of my own care, this is my only option, I am being told. I told the attorney, I would agree with this today, if I got to select the MSA administrator, he did not respond to that . I never asked for a lump sum.
It is very strange that they would spend this time to present this product. What they do, according to their flyer is give you a card and tell you to give it to the provider and it is like an insurance card. They distribute the funds, they get billed by the provider. You can go to any provider. So I am doing some research and I called some providers to see if they accept this arrangement. However, it is essentially hypothetical until I am signed up with the "service". Some places seem to accept this, but I won't know for sure until I agree to this arrangement. At that point I am stuck and if there are any bumps I will be out of luck for getting any care. The funds have to be depleted before I can use Medicare. At that point I would have to probably switch doctors because the billing will change from providers that accept this to Medicare providers. Oh so messy.
I have multiple concerns; 1. If they don't pay, or don't pay quickly enough, am I going to have to pay out of pocket? That is being reported by a number of people. 2. They have a provider network - which is weird. They say you can go to any doctor, but then they have this network. Why? 3. The provider can charge very high rates because they are going by WC prices, not Medicare prices. How can I avoid this? 4. If I move to another state or live outside of the US what happens to the funds? Can it follow me to another area for use for treatment of the injury? 5. They seem to take their time reporting funds depletion to Medicare. And they have to report it. Apparently, they would not take a report from me (with documentation), it would have to be from the MSA company. Is that correct? 6. What happens to those funds if they are not fully depleted, in say 5 or 10 years? If the reports I read from people using this system are true, there may be millions of dollars sitting in banks, who oversees this and how?
I have emailed the company and asked them if there is anyone I can contact or speak to about my specific situation. Honestly, this appears to me to be a ridiculous additional layer in our system that is designed to prevent individuals from receiving care and enriching 3rd parties for filling out forms. Some have reported that the company earns a percentage of the interest in the MSA account. The suggestion is that they are motivated to leave the funds in the account for their financial benefit. My attorney will not give me anything in writing about the settlement until I have agreed to it. He gave me a flyer from CAREGUARD, but no specifics about the settlement that I would be agreeing to. So I can't find out the details and how exactly this will work. I intend to ask him again, but I do not typically get a response when I ask them things in writing. So not holding out much hope for learning more. I do know what my option if I don't agree to the settlement. I think I also have the option of dismissing the attorney. Has anyone done that and how did it work out?

I bought an Xbox One S in March this year, intending to get emulators running on it. I was excited to do so until I encountered a significant obstacle.
The problem is that I can't seem to get past the paywall in the Microsoft Partner Center. My first attempt was with the Microsoft account connected to my Xbox, but I faced an issue with insufficient balance and could not proceed. So, I contacted Microsoft Support and communicated with them for approximately 4 weeks, exchanging almost 15 emails. The support team informed me that they had escalated the problem to the engineers, who would try to solve it.
Fast forward two weeks, and they told me it was an issue with my bank provider. The funny thing is, I used a REVOLUT card and an official real Mastercard Gold, and it still didn't work.
I found various solutions from other Redditors:

1. Create a new account and pay.
2. Create a new account and pay via the Edge browser on PC.
3. Try both the older account and the new one via the Edge browser on Xbox.

None of these solutions helped. If anyone can help please, but i doubt it because i tried EVERYTHING. Also if someone can create me an account please leave a comment.

So I randomly got added by this chick on Instagram and we were messaging for a couple days and she started initiating some sexual conversation and eventually I gave into this. Before giving in I asked her age and she said 20 years old. So I was like cool, she sent me some spicy pics, and requested I did the same so I did. I broke the number one rule though, I showed my face cause that's what she wanted and I knew that was a red flag, but did it anyways. I was freaking out last night. I told my friends to report that account, I didn't get a chance to block or report the account because I was too busy trying to delete all of my social medias. I never replied to them again and I just deleted all of my socials, do you think I'm ok? How did they get my home address, what should I do about that? Any recommendations? as the title says I can't change my account password, I know my current password and am able to login without issue but when I go to change my password I'm take to an "error 500 (server error)!!1" I've been on support with google but its the google one support, apparently there isn't a google account support to actually get help with. Also of note, in the manage account section my security tab is missing information, it doesn't have any of the link for password management or 2 step verification, just doesn't show it. I have filled out a feedback and sent it to google with the case number from the google one support chat but I'm desperate and would really appreciate any ideas from anyone. I have a pixel 6, I logged into my wifes account on my phone and everything with the security tab and password changing works fine, log back into my account and nothing so its not a browser or device issue it seems to be something with the actual account.

I have requested line increase on Cash card and got declined and then in about week applied for second Unlimited card and also got declined, this what I got
We based our decision on the following reason(s) •You have too many active accounts or too much available credit
Called them to reconsider and same thing.

Last week my wife was involved in a car accident. She was at a stop sign and, from her account, the driver traveling on the road she was turning onto was stopped and waved her into the road. As she was finishing her turn the other car struck her front passenger side. Once they pulled into a gas station the other driver immediately gets out claiming this accident is my wife's fault. She then goes on to say that she doesn't want to involve insurance or call the police. This accident occurred in Tennessee where contacting the authorities for almost all accidents is required. She called me and I told her to hang up and call 911 because things just didn't seem right (this was her first accident so she was very frazzled to begin with). On the phone with the 911 operator they both gave their name, tag numbers (the other driver gave a fake tag ID, and both drivers said there were no injuries. Once 911 informed them they would dispatch someone to the scene the other driver said she was getting a lawyer and fled the scene without giving my wife contact information for herself or her insurance. We immediately filed an insurance claim and sent them all the information we had including a blurry picture of the other driver's license plate my wife got as the other car fled.
After some research I believe this could have been a driver trying to take advantage of my wife who was alone, in her 20's, and not in the best part of town. Because my wife would technically be at-fault the driver tried to pressure my wife into just paying cash because it "would be cheaper." The over $2000 worth of damages to my wife's car would say otherwise.
Now comes the fun part where I need some advice from people who have dealt with any situation similar to this just so I know what to expect and any possible things I need to prepare for. Today insurance contacted my wife to let her know the other driver went to the police station to file an amended police report and that they have a lawyer and are claiming an injury. Is there any chance that this driver actually would have a case against my wife even though she committed a hit-and-run by definition of Tennessee laws? I know in legal terms my wife was at fault, but the other driver committed an actual crime (at least I assume it is even though they identified themself later). On the amended police report the other driver still has not provided any insurance information.
So: Is there an actual case here? Should we go ahead and look into getting an attorney? Do we need to worry about pressing charges against the other driver for the hit-and-run or will insurance deal with that?

Hi so I am quite new to personal finance. I am 20, and I opened up the discover student IT card about 8 months ago. And have two debit cards (one of them I want to cancel soon).
I am planning on traveling internationally this summer, so I am looking for a credit/debit card that I will also use after this trip. I am looking into the either the Schwab or Fidelity debit card, but I worry if anything happens on the trip they won’t be able to reimburse me. I also feel like getting a chase credit card would be best for long term use. But also I don’t think I will be eligible for the Chase sapphire reserve card right now.
Do you have any other recommendations? Or should I just stick it out with the debit cards.

" I want to share my opinion on this. I will be glad to clarify something if it is not clear.
I want to talk to you about balance in the 11th set. And use the future patch as an example, in particular Mortdog's explanation of what and how.
I think all the patches in set 11 were bad and could have been better. Each patch lags behind the current meta and even in the next patch it will not catch up with it. There are a number of reasons for this that are definitely worth taking into account. Such as: human factor; they need to close the patch 8 days before it appears on live servers; But I think the most important thing is that there is not enough attention to balance on live servers. Let's talk about each one separately.

1. Human factor. In such work there are always mistakes and failures, it is impossible without them. But I also can't say that the balance in TFT is bad and I want to stop playing this game. And so I think this can be attributed to the fact that set 10 was given WAY more attention from the balance side, which in turn makes the problems of set 11 much more obvious and this upsets the players.

Let's step back a little and talk philosophically. TFT players have become much better at playing at all levels, as well as taking a more detailed approach to studying the meta/broken stuff, which in turn makes problematic patches even more problematic and less interesting to play. It's also worth considering that from set 11 we have tournaments that take place during the same time all over the world. And releasing patches like the next one (14.10) doesn't look right. When, in turn, the previous patch (14.09) was a filler and it was possible to experiment much more with it, but we received a placebo patch with 0 balance changes. Let's go back.

1. The need to close the patch in 8 days. This is something we cannot change and it is worth accepting. Perhaps this will change in the future, but now this is what they have to work with, which in turn creates a lot of problems, but the advantages should not be forgotten. We have a stable patch cycle every 2 weeks, which is much more frequent than other games.
   
2. Balance on live servers. This is what I have always considered the main problem in TFT for its entire existence and this has ALWAYS been a problem. The TFT team is working on future projects sacrificing the quality of live patches. But let's not forget about the previous point, one problem follows from another. This is natural. But I'm also sure that the quality of the live balance could be much better. You don't even have to go far, an example is set 10. Let's not have any illusions about this. Set 10 received much more attention from the start, which led to better balance throughout the set. And the current set is for tests. We have a lot of systemic changes, changes in the competitive scene.
   

I could go on, but I think you understand what I want to say, otherwise I'll end up like a bebe.
TLDR I believe the TFT team needs to change its approach to balance and adapt to new realities. I can highlight 2 main points:

1. TFT players have become better, which in turn gives a new challenge to the balance team.
2. A new competitive format that allows room for experimentation between tournaments, but also requires more attention to tournament patches."

I had met a man, initial letter N (31M) through reddit some 4-5 months back. He commented on my post that he had a few materials for a competitive exam that I was giving. I DMed him asking the same and moved to telegram to share the same files.
There was an instant connection and we started talking. On the first day itself I had asked him if he had a gf or wife. He said no and so we continued talking. After 1 month, he went to his hometown during his leaves and communication was infrequent. He wouldn't talk when he was home, disappeared during the long weekend completely, etc. I couldn't understand if he was just uninterested or was dating someone else.
I tried talking with him about this, a couple of times, he just shut down saying he was going through a lot etc. But then suddenly he flipped and started talking like before. Honestly, he felt like a complete green flag except for this communication thing. After his leaves ended, he went back to his city and then again after a few days communication lessened to the point where it would be barely 1-2 msgs each day. He said it was work but my female intuition was telling me something is wrong.
I asked him multiple times to tell me if there's someone else. He gaslighted me each time. Told me I'm overthinking etc. But still we had very less communication and I was fed up of it and anxious all the time. So I too stopped putting in the efforts. One day he posted status of link to his mother's youtube channel. My instincts were screaming by then. So I stalked the account, came across one name. Somehow I found her account on instagram but it was private, she had a small business too in which the contact number for queries given was his. And of course she wasn't his sister, because the surname in bio was different. I also found her sister's instagram which is an open account. I saw their wedding video. He's been married for 3 years and dating her since almost 2017 (I guess).
I confronted him, he left the msgs on seen. I had to threaten him to just agree. Even then he tried to be the victim. After that I blocked him from everywhere. This was almost 20 days back but somehow the girl keeps coming in my mind. I'm really confused if I should msg her and tell her everything. I have screenshots and all the proof. He cheated on her emotionally and physically.

Hi all, I'm hoping to get some suggestions as to what my realistic options are and what course of action we can take in regards to our problem. We have been trying to get this solved since September.
Essentially, the problem is that my wife cannot receive texts. She also cannot send them. There is no problem with her phone or her phone settings. This has been verified multiple times with different sim cards. There is also no problem with her sim card as we've swapped it out at a Freedom location.
We've been in contact with Freedom Mobile support many times. They always say they have to further investigate, and they they will get back to us. Except they never do. We have to call again, go through the whole process again and get told that it needs to be investigated.
During one of the calls, a rep mentioned that it looked like the phone number had been placed on some spam list (?) and was not allowed to text. They promised it would be escalated and they would contact us. Again, that never happened.
My question is, what is our recourse? Stop paying the bills? File a complaint with BBB? Contact our local councillor? Blast them on social media? Contact traditional media?
What I want is for some kind of resolution to be suggested, and for Freedom Mobile to rectify this in some way — we've been paying the full bill since September and have only been getting a small portion of a handicapped service.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hi everyone, I'm planning on booking 5 nights at the Kimpton Seafire Grand Cayman in November for 280k points for my wife and I's anniversary trip. I have Platinum Elite status via the IHG Premier credit card. I'm going with my wife and toddler and ideally would like to have a king bed room so all 3 of us can sleep on 1 bed.

Which should I choose if I'm optimizing for tax liability mitigation? I've invested ~72K in personal capital in the biz since 2022. The biz has only yielded ~10K in revenue thus far, with $30K in ARR since its a subscription model. Trying to solidify prelim Cap Table with new members of the Founding Team as well.

"How have you documented the $73K in the tax returns? Since your co is a single member LLC, owned by you, it’s a pass thru disregarded entity for tax purposes, so it passes through to you.
The cap table is helpful to understand the goal. The main issue now is figuring out the fair market value of the equity, which depends on the financials. There are a couple of options high level – both not easy with their own pros and cons. The numbers are assumptions and used for illustration purposes.

• Option 1: Clean the LLC and then convert to C Corp
  • Assume that you have contributed $7K to the LLC in exchange for 70% of the membership interest; and $3K contributed by new members for 30% of the interests in the LLC. And the remainder of the money you’ve put in – we’ll treat that amount as a loan, treated as convertible debt upon conversion.
    • The interests will be subject to a repurchase option (a different way to get to vesting)
  • The 7K / 3K – these numbers are really dependent on the capital account(s) for the LLC. So we need to know the fair market value of the interests. If we use units, what’s the price per unit?
    • This is a valuation question because the company has been operating and generating value, and there’s not a way to get around this.
  • I know you’ve mentioned sweat equity, but it can be very messy for tax purposes for the company and the members getting sweat equity. Sweat equity has to be valued and that value is ordinary income to the recipient. It’s much simpler if the members can pay for the equity, which is why founder’s stock is usually paid for with cash or other property with a particular value even though it’s construed to be sweat equity.
• Option 2: create a New Company that buys the LLC
  • Create a new company and issue founder’s stock as per the cap table you’ve shared with vesting schedule
  • New Co buys the LLC in exchange for the amount you’ve contributed to the LLC to be treated as a convertible debt
  • Assign all contracts to the new entity. This is a merger so it’ll require going through all of the LLC's current contracts / obligations
  • This is cleaner than Option 1 and clearer…less messy with respect to valuations.

My colleagues and I discussed a few other options such as you selling your interest in the LLC, but if it’s a low price, you’d be selling at a loss and it doesn’t really look good to future investors. This is due to the issue of valuation – the company has been operating and is generating value.

Purchased XBOX Game Pass through HDFC Debit Card, the payment went through, and I got the game pass. Installed a game and suddenly after around 5 minutes the subscription disappeared. It isn’t even appearing in order history. Money is still debited, contacted XBOX support and they are just saying that it is showing in the bank statement as the money is on hold and bank will refund this in 48 hours max.
