Solar panel naics code

How do i fix this?

How do i fix this?
I had a home inspection done recently and was told I have a double tap. Spoke to a couple of electricians who said we require a sub panel to fix it as per code.
Another electrician I spoke to mentioned he could remove both circuits from the panel, splice them outside of the panel, and refeed one cable. The quote for this was significantly cheaper.
I am selling the home soon and leaning towards the second option. Is that the proper repair and safe? Will it pass a home inspection?

the human leader is claiming there is no alternative power source to fuel other than the dam ..what about solar energy , wind ? is there something preventing them from getting solar panels ?

2024.05.16 02:51 modular511 how far can I extend my panels wires before their dropoff?

I wanna get one of these: https://www.harborfreight.com/100-watt-monocrystalline-solar-panel-57325.html
As well as the dc 8mm to dae adapter cable, so i can charge my jackery, the best place for the panel is roughly a hundred feet away - i know there will obviously be drop off the longer I make things, but if the jackery charges at 60w max, will I be ok if i extend it so that it reaches where i need it to go if its a 100w panel? in my head it makes sense lol

2024.05.16 02:44 Tekkychu Is having the Arlo Essential 2k hooked up to the solar panel that came with the kit okay for outdoors?

I tried looking for similar posts but I couldn't find one (or I might just be dumb and wasn't looking in the right places). I'm just wondering if just leaving it hooked up to the solar panel is a good idea. It gets pretty rainy where I'm from so I'm worried water might, for some reason, creep up into the charging port with the cable from the solar panel just dangling there and kill either the battery or the charging capabilities of the solar panel (or both).
Thoughts?

Debating this potentially or maybe the 100w harbor freight one - new to solar panels overall, and I think id just need the right panel and the correct adapter by poking around here! TY for any direction here! :)

2024.05.16 02:27 No-Gur5670 Texas Fire Alarm Partial Inspections - Joint Commission

I've had 2 Texas Hospitals in this month that share a building fire alarm panel with a property management company, and a multiple tenant medical suite. These hospitals "do not" have access to the other fire alarm devices outside of their suite but they do have access to the shared fire alarm panel, fire alarm communicator and fire alarm annunciators.
The hospital is requesting an annual fire alarm inspection with device inventory of their suite only. In the past, I've always inspected 100% of the fire alarm panel devices and detailed 100% of the device inventory on the report.
Is a partial fire alarm system inspection allowed by suite, If noted on the report and tag specifying only the devices tested?
I have a hard time understanding their imaginary property line in the common areas. If I don't understand what is their equipment to maintain and inspect and what isn't their equipment, I'm sure this will affect future inspectors. The AHJ wants the building owner testing 100% regardless. The hospital can't risk a neglectful oversight by a property management group or less than accurate fire alarm vendor. I feel like the only way is to properly list everything to highlight what is being inspected and what is't being tested / inspected. The old NFPA 2 part forms required total counts to assure what percentage of the system was tested.
At one of these locations the building owner has already passed his annual fire alarm inspection by another service provider to meet the AHJ requirements and doesn't want us to find any issues unrelated to the Hospital. I've already told them that shared fire alarm panels also share fire alarm system problems or deficiencies on their inspection report regardless of the suite. The hospital needs a fire alarm inventory of their suite and inspection documents to meet Joint Commission requirements. What's a code or standard to reference? What's your thoughts? I'm pretty sure it was sold as single suite inspection.

Hi folks!
I'm shopping around for solar in Southern California and I think this is a pretty good quote but want to get your thoughts before I commit to it.
Estimated first year production: 20,406 kWh Consumption offset: 117%
Cost breakdown:
Total system cost: 62,500 USD cash price
They also offer zero-fee financing (no dealer fees) at 8.74% APR for 12 years and 20 years options.
Things I like about this company:
Competing offers are 3.1 USD / watt and 3.2 USD / watt.

Just moved my solar panels and charge controller going crazy?
I just recently moved my eco worthy solar kit (200w) and now the charge controller is going crazy. I have the 2 solar panels hooked up to the charger and the charger hooked up to a 50ah battery. Has anyone had this happen? I’m relatively new to this kind of stuff.
Panels are getting full sun, no clouds.

Hey guys! My names Josh, I hit my 4 years in the field a few months ago and am getting ready to take my J card test. I am looking to see what are some good avenues to go down once i have my card. I am very passionate about my work and know that this is what i am meant to do on this earth. The dream is to eventually get my C10 and open my own shop, but Rome wasnt built in a day and want to set myself up before i make the jump. (im 27 years old) i would say i am a well seasoned apprentice/electrician. My first 2-3 years i did new commercial construction (nonunion) seeing ground up car dealerships and amazon warehouse remodels from start to finish. from there i went to a residential solar company where i did panel upgrades and battery backups every day for a good year. I am currently working for a traveling retrofit lighting company. Once i get my J card i am looking to settle down at a bad as company. what are some good avenues?

2024.05.16 01:55 kor34l ICs in Wisconsin

Hello,
I've been trying to find a compatible community within driving distance to my job in Mukwonago, WI. Problem is, everything I can find on ic.org is over an hour away. The closest is Madison, which is nearly a two hour drive.
I'm looking for a community that shares resources and expenses, helps each other, is technologically modern (preferably sustainably with solar panels and such, or a strong desire to get there), and has no religious requirements at all (I am not religious).
I make good money and own my home, and would be selling my current house (worth about 350k) shortly after moving. I care for my disabled mother, so I would want to bring her with and hopefully my best friend also. Both of them can contribute. My friend is a fantastic cook and loves outdoor work (gardening and such), and my mom is good with sewing and related crafts, though she only can be active for an hour or two before she has to lay down from the pain and exhaustion.
I majored in computer engineering in college and can also contribute technical support, from computers to networking to solar power etc.
Ideally I'd like to eventually transition to purely contributing to the community locally and leave my current job, but that's not a hard requirement just a "would be nice".
If anyone knows any communities that would be a good fit or at the very least is within an hour drive to Mukwonago, please let me know!
Thank you!

Homes on Planet Harsh With Solar Panels Will Now Be Penalized By The Evil Poogrid Company.
https://preview.redd.it/rdpjmd82ho0d1.jpg?width=1920&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fd11807e0909c42865d05aa9994e916cfe099503
Imagine a hypothetical scenario set on a fictional planet called 'Harsh' and an island nation called 'New Southland,' where residents are facing dire economic conditions with soaring electricity costs, high unemployment, homelessness, and an inability to meet mortgage payments.
Families are struggling to afford basic necessities, leading to increased stress, mental health issues, and strained relationships.
Amidst this crisis, imagine there is a company called PooGrid, the largest electricity distributor on Planet Harsh, which is majority-owned by the New Southland government.
PooGrid plans to penalize homeowners with solar flare energy capturing panels by charging them 1.38 carrots per flarewatt-hour (fWh) for electricity exported from their homes between 11:01 am and 4:01 pm.
Imagine for a moment how this pricing structure disproportionately affects households relying on solar flare capture energy to offset the high cost of living, and it is unfair to impose such charges during challenging financial times.
Many homeowners would have invested in solar flare energy capturing panels in good faith, expecting long-term benefits, and the planned charges place an undue burden on those who cannot afford energy storage systems.
Imagine the backlash from inhabitants of Planet Harsh, the rulers of this planet would face constant negativity, poor and struggling families would be begging the New Southland government to reconsider this decision, as it goes against the principle of "not kicking people when they are down."
Instead of exacerbating financial hardships, the New Southland government should support efforts to ease the strain on households, such as through financial assistance, subsidies, or job creation programs.
Imposing additional costs or austerity measures during harsh economic times would be insensitive and tone-deaf, potentially eroding public trust and confidence in leadership.
This type of situation would encourage citizens to voice their concerns to political representatives and the media if such decisions were to be happen.
One thing for sure, we would never want such a situation to happen on Planet Earth, Australia or the once great state of New South Wales.
Ultimately, compassion, empathy, and care from planet rulers and governments is needed during tough economic periods, rather than imposing additional burdens on struggling citizens.
Planet Rulers should heed the wisdom of "not kicking people when they are down," they should foster a more supportive environment for their constituents during the toughest times of their lives if they wish to remain Planet Rulers beyond the next election.

2024.05.16 01:44 NaePlayz Camping with Jackery

Camping with Jackery
got a pretty sweet deal on a Jackery Explorer 1500. i intend on using it frequently but was wondering about other peoples experiences with these. i’m hoping to get a solar panel or two after a while so for now it would just be wall charged.

2024.05.16 01:44 Aerospace_Curmudgeon Wireless smoke alarm for Vista 20P / ADT?

The previous owner of my house had an ADT security system installed (Vista 20P panel, 5800-series wireless sensors, 2009), which I've been getting back into working order with an Eyezon Envisalink. Several of the sensors were uninstalled somewhere along the way, including some kind of smoke detector according to the notes the installer left inside the panel, and also the "trouble" code that the keypad is showing.
The house currently has several standalone Kidde P3010H smoke alarms (and a P3010K-CO combined smoke/CO alarm) and a hard-wired Firex i4618A, dated 2016-17. What would the original ADT-installed sensor have been? Is it worth chasing a replacement, or maybe something that can tie my current smoke alarms into the system (I've seen the FF345 mentioned), or best to just delete that zone as I'm programming in the other replacement sensors?

2024.05.16 00:56 ideal2545 Enphase Inverters w/ Combiner Box + Anker Solix with Solix Home Panel

Hi All,
We currently have a solar array with enphase iq8+ inverters with a combiner box at the house. We want to pick up an anker solix f3800 system that comes with a smart home panel. We prefer a modular system for a number of reasons I wont go into detail here.
One thing that I'm having a hard time deducing is how I could feed the smart home panel with solar during an extended power outage from the house solar panels. I was curious if someone could shed some light or point me in the right direction.

2024.05.16 00:51 Derek_Zoolander77 RTX2070 Super Acting Weird

Long story short:
Have an RTX2070 Super. It sits at 185w power draw at idle. It's locked to 300MHZ. It says in HWInfo that power limit is engaged '1'. I have tried everything to fix it - DDU, new drivers, old drivers, Nvidia control panel settings (prefer max performance, adaptive, optimal power).
Nothing seems to work, and games run at like 11fps now when they used to be at like 80fps.
I've reseated the GPU, unplugged and changed the Pcie power plugs into the card. I did have it working with Afterburner and power limit set to 120% but now that doesnt work anymore either it just immediately hits power limit '1' in HWInfo and locks to low speeds on startup.
Iv deleted all momitoring apps to see if that assists to no avail.
I've flashed the original bios to the card (in case it was flashed with a dodgy one by the previous owner - even though all the codes etc. were the original Vbios ones so I dont think that was the case.)
I'm pulling my hair out and just need some help.

2024.05.16 00:48 sttmvp Solar panel

Solar panel
I forgot who asked me about this Solar panel and battery bank but here’s a pic of the panel charging devices by itself, it runs my electric cooler food warmer and powers and charges all of my devices. The power bank has its own panel and tops of very well, I rarely charge it any other way besides using n it’s own built in panel.

2024.05.16 00:42 RobotDragon0 Trouble making chassis for sun tracking solar panel

I am working on making a sun-tracking solar panel using an Arduino and need help assembling the chassis. I am using the below video for guidance, and I had a few questions:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YC4kIGQYld4
Components for assembling the chassis:
Note that I already own an Arduino, servo motor, soldering kit, solar panel, LDRs, wires, jumper wires, and resistors.

2024.05.16 00:25 _manster_ cHAos multi panel R3xS Debug image for new displays

Hack Around has released a debug image that detects the display versions automatically. This will mean no more fiddling around with .dtb files in the future!
From discord:
I made a debug image for the new panels. the purpose is to automatically detect new panels and load the correct config without any dtb replacement, just plug and play. before the code it gets into AmberELEC, I need more tests.
write the new image to a SD card. if the device has one of 3 known panels it will boot normally. if is not booting, then it might be a "special" panel, in that case you need a different timing for the panel. so let the image to install (5-10min), power off the device and boot the device by holding X button and the OS will change the timing for the display. if the device is still not even booting with X, DM me, you might have a new panel, and because is a debug image I included some "extras" to get info about the display you are using. this image can be used even for devices DOA, like that we understand if you device is really dead or just wrong timing/panel/init etc. don't forget to give me feedback. thanks!

2024.05.16 00:22 Grdosjek Solar panel roof

Solar panel roof
So i have this entrance to basement that i would like to cover with small roof and instead of standard roof just use 3 panels like on image + rails for installation of course. Is it possible to install 3 panels in a way that they do not have gap in between so water doesn't leak down? Or is there way to fill that standard gap?
