Hi so I got the S24u and am really happy about it. I also have a Galaxy Tab s4 and it's still going strong. I actually used the dex function a lot and it works absolutely beautifully with my new UWQHD monitor. When connecting, the tab automatically chooses the best resolution (UWQHD), with the option to lower the resolution accordingly.
Having connected my newly acquired S24u, I was shocked that the image was 1. not in the UW format and 2. with a really poor 720p resolution. There is no setting whatsoever to change that directly in the settings, compared to the option you have in Android 10. Yes, there is Goodlock, which let's you chose a higher resolution and then it does work but you are advised that the device may heat up drastically.
So I wonder, how can it be that a phone with a 10x more capable CPU is such a heft downgrade compared to a 6 years old device in this department?

So I'm due to graduate this year (UK), and want to go into IM, preferably as an Equity Research Analyst. My degree is not a finance one fyi. I have not been able to find a grad role as of yet, in this field or within finance as a whole unfortunately. So I want to take either the CFA Level 1, or the IMC exams, in the hope that this should get me a graduate/entry level role. Based on my situation, what would be the more appropriate examinations to take?

I've been T1 for over 30 years. I also have "high insulin resistance", and for years I've been using two 21 unit basal shots per day, and a carb ratio of 2.5 bolus units to 10g of carbs.
Or, at least those were my numbers until bowel surgery about a month ago.
The hospital diabetes nurse recommended that, post op, I start with a basal of 5 and a bolus of 1:10, gradually increasing as needed, while my plumbing and appetite settled down.
A month later, I'm eating normally, and healing well. But my insulin numbers are still crazy low compared to pre-op. I've settled on a basal of 12 units, twice a day, and a bolus of 1 unit to 10g of carb. My sensor readings are as good, if not slightly better than before.
I'm certainly not complaining, but I'm curious if this insulin reset is a common side effect of abdominal surgery? Is this now my "new normal?"

Hinire ko pa nga for quite some time to be my assistant kasi nga need nya ng additional income.. I encouraged him to do something for himself, or improve himself para lang sa kapakanan nya kasi nga di na kami bumabata and gusto ko na bumukod sa pamilya ko pero kung ang makakasama ko is ganitong puro dota lang ang alam, parang another expenses lang sya sakin kaya hindi ako makabukod sa bahay.
Pag may bday isa sa mga pamilya nya lagi ako may regalo, pero sya samin wala (knowing na ayaw sa kanya ng pamilya ko) minsan bibili ako ng gift tapos ibibigay ko sa kanya sasabihin ko lang na sya magdala para magmukhang sya yung bumili ng regalo.. nakakahiya yung ginagawa ko. ang low, pero anong magagawa ko? ayaw kong masabihan sya ng masama ng ibang tao.
May pangarap sya pero wala syang ginagawa. Aware sya sa pagkukulang nya pero wala syang action. Mahal ko sya pero parang di ko naman deserve to? Ano dapat ko gawin?

Played MD again for the first time in more than a year and I really like how it's improved. The economic system especially is a lot better and I like the energy and productivity dynamics. I also think the missiles/space dynamic is handled a lot better now. My big problem last time was how a lot of the modifiers (simulated in game effects of different ideas/national spirits) were way too exaggerated to the point of widespread inconsistency and a failure of basic simulation realism. I think the mod's improved a lot on that front too, but there were a couple of big continuing problems that popped up to me playing as the US.
First, population growth. It makes sense to model population growth decreasing with rising levels of development, but the values are way too strong. At normal starting level gdp/c I found it knocked population growth down by 100%. Literally completely erased it, which is decidedly unrealistic. The US, a country of 280 million people, was growing at 1000 people per year in the mod, in the real world it grew at about 1% (between 2 and 3 million) a year in the 2000s. Even without the GDP per capita thing the "scars of the war on drugs" idea was knocking it down by 50%. That's way too massive, it should be more like a tenth of that, and the same goes for the effects of different policy variables on population growth. This is also true for policies and focuses which change the structural costs of things like healthcare or social spending - the effects are way too big!
The other big issue I found was that base military production values are way too low, even at full production efficiency. I know modern equipment is far slower and more expensive to make than WW2 kit, but the mod currently takes that too far. For example, the US now produces (in full rate production) about 160 F-35s a year. With a reasonable number of factories allocated (4 to 6) at full production efficiency I could only manage a quarter of that with a comparable multirole jet. The problem wasnt really skewed output or efficiency variables, those were pretty good, it was just that the base figure is way too low. I changed it from 3 ICs per military factory to around 10 in the defines file and that made things way better. I will say however that naval production values (which the mod rightly increased from their hoi4 base) looked very realistic and I like what the mod has done with MIOs.
Also, air wing size. If even a large country making a substantial effort can only build 40 normal jets a year, 100 is definitely too big for a default air wing. A modern Air Force Wing is closer to 50, and that seems like the better compromise with the lower production volumes/higher capability of modern kit.
So to conclude, this mod has definitely come a long way, especially in its economic system, but it still gets some of the basics (military production, population growth) wrong, and I hope devs continue to improve the problem of massively exaggerated policy and idea effects.

Before I begin this is completely off the record. So for about 7 years I’ve liked a girl. She has manipulated me hurt me mentally make me hate myself completely. I bought a plot of land about a year ago and haven't done anything with it and now have time on my hands for a project. It is zoned for Rural Coastal 2 in Los Angeles County. I interested in learning about what I can build without a permit and ways to skirt about regulation. It is close to utilities. I would just have to set up septic.
Here are my ideas:

1. Build an accessory unit under 120 square feet
2. Given that the land hasn't been touched for 20 years and the buyers have never even looked at the property, I was thinking of installing septic unpermitted and if anyone asks, I will say I found that the land actually had an old septic system and permits are not required to update existing septic.
3. Work on permitting while I live in the "accessory unit"
4. Use solar for power

I have been playing the last great Madden lately (Madden 25) and I started a new franchise intending on moving my Raiders (unfortunately) to Vegas, only to remember that Madden 25 didn't have Vegas as a relocation destination for some reason. I decided the best choice for the NFL and Raiders was a move to Mexico City (Raiders are the #1 team in Mexico) and it just so happened that 1 year before we drafted our QB Delagarza (Hispanic name) and right before leaving we drafted Serratos (also a Hispanic name) so it worked out perfectly that as soon as we moved, our star QB and RB (most TDs) are both of Hispanic heritage. Not huge but it does make my franchise mode a bit more real feeling, like they went with the personal they did specifically to help cater to their new demographic as well as performing. (My new QB is actually great with 94 speed, RB is at 98 speed 88 Catch)
Has anyone else here had a franchise mode where something happened that helped add lore to your franchise? I've been playing 25 since it was the new exciting Madden and it's still my favorite. What has interested you most in your favorite/latest Madden game?
