Lore:
The armies of Noxus have small elite groups among them that serves exclusively a specific high-ranking persons, one of them, at the orders of the grand general, Swain himself, was known as “the black capes”, composed by five members, one of them was Beatrice, known in all the empire for having the sharpest aim in the empire as a whole.
One day, the black capes were sended on a mission to solve a problem some foot soldiers were having in the Western border, some Demacian rangers were infiltrating Noxian territory and systematically taking out their patrols in crucial spots. furthermore, two Ranger-knights were part of this group, one of them being their chieftain, eliminating them would erase the danger the Demacian rangers represented for quite some time, and so, the black capes were mobilized to assassinate them, after all, Demacian rangers are not only formidable foes by themselves, but they also count with the help of their animal companions, making them even tougher opponents to deal with.
After analyzing the places where the Demacian rangers have striked, the Noxian soldiers were able to triangulate their position, a small forest in the middle of nowhere, the Demacian rangers were trying to have the highest advantage they could by fighting in terrain they had mastered, despite this, the Noxian soldiers went after them anyways, in less than half a day, all the available Noxian soldiers got the forest surrounded and the black capes went inside it.
While the black capes were exploring the forest, suddenly, something caught the attention of Beatrice's eye; a big, blue eagle, sitting on a branch. Beatrice could feel something was wrong with that bird, it was looking right at them, it was no coincidence and she soon realized it was one of those ranger's animals, she quickly pulled her bow, but before she could begin to take aim, the eagle flew away and emitted a loud shriek and, within seconds, a round of arrows came from the foliage towards them, despite the surprise, all members of the black capes could dodge them, but the others rangers jumped out of their hiding spot and attacked them, Beatrice fired skyward a special arrow that leaves a trail of red dust, that was the signal for all the other Noxian soldiers to charge towards them, even with the skills the rangers had, they could not defeat so many enemies.
The Demacian rangers started with the upper hand, attacking the black capes from all side, but that situation changed when the Noxian foot soldiers arrived, the amount of troops was overwhelming for the rangers and their solid formation quickly began to crumble with a single casualty, the rangers scatters, desperately trying to end up victorious in this battle, and Beatrice decided to climb up a tree to get a better sight range and hunt down the remaining rangers, from up there, she could see the same azurite eagle from before flying toward her, carrying a ranger with a crossbow on its talons, Beatrice attempted to shoot them down, but, despite her superb accuracy, that eagle managed to dodge all of her shoots and to jump to another branch when the ranger fired back, when Beatrice could finally fire again, she aimed directly for the ranger's hearth, but that was merely a feint, when the eagle got ready to dodge once more, Beatrice changed the trajectory of her shoot, firing an arrow that pierced through one of the eagle's wing, severely wounded, the eagle had no other option but to land, but before that, it flew over Beatrice and the ranger-knight jumped off the eagle to attack Beatrice hand-to-hand, despite not being her expertise, she was able to defend herself against that ranger-knight, while on the middle of the confrontation, suddenly, the ranger-knight whistled, and despite the injury, her eagle flew towards Beatrice once more and clawed her eyes, making Beatrice lose her balance and fall down the tree, hitting her head and falling unconscious.
Some days later, she finally woke up, but something was very wrong with her, she had her eyes wide open, she could feel that, and yet, she could not see anything. That blasted ranger's bird had scarred her eyes and blinded her. While Beatrice was still trying to figure out how to react to this, a nearby soldier informed her about the situation, they were in a carriage and were being escorted back to Noxus, they managed to defeat the Demacian rangers and kill seven out of the nine that were in that forest, but they also suffered a lot of casualties, including the other four members of the black capes. Beatrice was in shock, in a single day she had lost everything, her most powerful asset and all of her trusted companions, a mix of awful emotions started tormenting her, anger, sadness, resentment… She was unable to even articulate a word and suffered in silence until they arrived at the Noxian capital. A helpful soldier escorted her to the doctors where they confirmed Beatrice's worst fear: They were not able to cure her blindness.
After hearing that, she took a decisions, with the aid of the same soldier, she went to have a conversation with her gran general, Swain, when they arrived at his place, she was informed that Swain was already expecting her and she could pass, when Beatrice got inside his office, before being able to say a single word, she immediately fell on her knees and started apologizing for her current state while tears ran down her now useless eyes, after some time of time, Beatrice said she had one request for her grand general, for him to execute her, for she is unable to be of use to the empire of Noxus, now that her vision had been taken away.
After hearing that, Swain produced the first sound he made since Beatrice had entered his office, by sighting to that extreme request she was making, after that, he got up and walked towards her, slowly but firmly, when he was in front of her, he asked if she wished to still be of use for Noxus, Beatrice insisted that she could not do that in her stat, and to that, Swain answered by repeating the exact same question. Without even questioning what that use could be, Beatrice said she wishes to serve Noxus until the last of her days. After that affirmation, Swain placed his hand on her head. A very weirdly-shaped hand, it felt more… like a claw. Before being able to think about that for much, a strange and painful sensation went through all of Beatrice, like if a thunderstorm was happening inside her body, after that sensation stopped, she… could see again. Although overjoyed for a moment, she realized something was wrong… she was seeing herself. Swain explained he had integrated her in his flock of ravens, that their consciences are now linked and she could see through them, after that brief explanation, Swain asked this time if she still wishes to serve him. Still disoriented, Beatrice, while smiling, answered that that would be her greatest honor.

I switched jobs in january and absolutely hated the new employer. I only stayed for a month because they lied about a ton of stuff pre-employment, they treated me like shit, and they expected me to treat my employees like shit.
I was working a lot more hours than planned also, which I had to self-report for later approval by my manager as my salaried position did not clock in and out.
After I quit, I was focused on finding another job (I tried to wait until I already had one lined up, but could not) and did not immediately report my OT because I didn't think it would matter as long as I reported it before the next pay period was calculated.
To make a long story short, after discussion with HR who passed me off to IT, then going back and forth with them, I found I could not report because my account had already been closed, which is wild to me because I can still log in and see my pay information from the job BEFORE this one.
I got back with HR and let them know and asked how I could still report my hours. They told me to just send them what I worked, so I did.
That was over two months ago and I haven't heard anything else, nor have I received any payment. To make this even worse, I have to pay back a signing bonus since I left within a year. That is going to be VERY painful to pay back if I'm also missing out on $1k+ in OT.
How can I get them to pay out the OT?

We purchased a home in 2022 and at that time an inspection showed no issues. There are 2 full bathrooms upstairs, 1 half bath downstairs. There was some minor 0 degree grade in some areas but other than some buildup in the line from grease it looked to be running fine from the home to the sewer.
Come 2-3 months of living in this house our nightmare began. Its only my wife and I living here. The upstairs toilets stopped flushing and would get backed up. After a while they would drain down, but we would get a plumber out and they would snake it and all fine for another week or so until bam another backup. Finally brought in a camera and saw a clog of enormous length (20 ft) and ended up hydrojetting it out.
This process has continued on throughout the past year. 4 companies, 2 gave up completely, 1 started to get crazy with their charges, the latest is stumped and said let us replace the line. That didn't work. This weekend sewage sept up from a floor drain from an ice maker. The cause? a clog in the same damn line.
With changes made under the house and in various ways to see what can be done:

• Changed toilet paper (from charmin) and adjusted usage - was told we were using too much so cut back. Never even used any flushable wipes nor flushed anything other than TP and toilet bowl cleaner.
• Replaced upstairs toilets with American Standard Cadets
• Replaced one of the cadets with a kohler power assist
• Removed a 90 degree bend for 2 45 degree bends
• Stopped using downstairs toilet all together
• Removed a T-junction where there looked to possibly be a belly from upstairs to downstairs
• Had a roofer inspect our sewer vents and no noticeable blockages (no plumber was willing to go on roof - extra sttep and shake tile - so no camera down there although they did go in attic and didn't notice any issues there)
• Added Autovents to downstairs toilet and sink
• Regraded line where slope was at 0 degrees
• Replaced line from downstairs toilet to main (about 80ft total in pipe) and regraded everything to be 1/4" drop
• And this weekend - capped the floor drain so nothing could come up it - it had a backwater prevention valve that failed? Wondering if this may have been an issue all along - was this drain potentially acting as a vent but since it was lower than toilets it would cause pressure to decrease? There is a p trap in it but it may have evaporated due to non use...

I have two brokerage accounts, one I use as a checking/cash flow account that I just moved my direct deposit to, and the other to hold my growing emergency fund (invested in SGOV).
I was trying to set up biweekly transfers between the accounts to move money as soon as the direct deposit hits, but it appears transfers between Fidelity accounts can only be monthly or annually (why give better flexibility for outside accounts than internal transfers??). It wouldn't help to set up two monthly transfers, as twice monthly doesn't line up neatly with biweekly.
I had hoped there was a loophole in setting up a recurring SGOV purchase in the Emergency Fund account using the funds from the Cash Flow account, but only my external accounts appear as "linked accounts." Is there a way to add the other Fidelity account as a linked account so this is possible?
If not, I'll have to manually transfer the funds, then buy the SGOV manually, or set up the SGOV recurring purchase to occur the business day after I plan to transfer the funds to make sure there's no timeline/insufficiency issues with the core position of the Emergency Fund account. It's not the biggest hassle in the world but it really defeats the purpose of all the options to automatize transfers and investments and then make it impossible to do between internal accounts...

Has anyone heard ever used an air still specifically from Still Spirits? I bought one about 6 months ago and am just now getting around to use it. I've used it twice now and both times about an hour and a half in the top starts to lift, and will often dump a bunch of steam and liquid out of the side. There's no way this could be normal operation for this thing. Has anyone else experienced this. The only thought I have is the fill line is way off and I've over filled it and it boils over. Any input will help.

I was going through all the VR challenges following optinoobs guides and others posts and seeing that rulers/bonds is the hardest and once you do that, to be a hero is just a "victory lap" because it's so easy. Alright then so why am i struggling so much on this shit? I one shot both rulers and bonds and I'm on attempt... Idk 15 at this point on to be a hero and it's genuinely just starting to suck the life out of me to finish the games platinum. I'm so fucking close and THIS is what is holding me up? The supposed easiest VR mission and I'm getting creamed time and time again while following the guide step by step to the letter and bad RNG is getting me nearly every damn time on quite a few of these different fights...
I've made it to Odin once and it unfortunately fell apart and in 10 or so tries I have yet to get back to Odin either dieing to the jabberwocky/Alex/Bahamut.
What the fuck dude. How is this the easy one lol? Zack felt far more useful than Sephiroth in Bonds and for some reason the timing of some bosses during "critical moments" in a fight tends to vary slightly to the point that if RNG can straight up kill your run...
Anyone got any advice aside from "taking a break" because I've already taken a break and just came back because I want it to be DONE. 280 hours in this game and I'm basically right at the finish line and this is what's stopping me...

So, just for context, I'm talking about a rp in a fantasy world where bratty, power-drunk princess that can weild ferromancy, which is exceedingly rare in this world. She has to go on a diplomatic mission to a neighbouring kingdom with a knight, and that's what kicks off a major change in her attitude.
I'm not sure if this is the right place to do this, but I need to get this off my chest. I've just been presumably ghosted by my rp partner after telling him that his response wasn't cutting in the most polite way I could think of. I understand that doing that is kinda egotistical, but I just couldn't immerse myself within the story with a character that acted the way his did.
Now, I'm all for audacious characters in roleplay, in fact, having two strong-willed characters clash is one of my favorite things to see in a story. But there is a fine line between audacity and straight up idiocy, and I believe my partner crossed it a few times. An in-world explanation of how his character was allowed to get away with being so snarky and carefree was because he had saved the prince's life even though he was a commoner and a thief, and therefore had earned a lot of favor from both the prince and the king.
In spite of this, my partner did everything in his power to get his character on the princess' bad side: having his character throw backhanded insults towards the royal family, using vulgar language towards her, and generally making light of everything that was said to him, even when it was confidential information.
Of course, the princess, being the way she is, didn't take kindly to having such a person being the one to accompany her anywhere, let alone a diplomatic mission. She uses her magic to put him in check, threatening to crush him within his armor, but I have another one of my characters swoop in to defuse the situation so that he doesn't end up injured.
Instead of taking the hint, my partner has his character fly into a rage and threaten to kill the princess. All the while he talks about how 'untamable' and 'audacious' his character is outside of the dialogue, comparing this very serious, very incriminating act to him giving the prince a light slap on the shoulder in the past.
Now, if I was to write the princess in character, she'd instantly rid herself of him, ending the rp right there and then. Seeing as he's a knight in a full set of armor, it wouldn't take much effort for someone who can control metal. I instead opt to tell my partner that his response just won't work given the nature of the rp. (Keep in mind that both of our characters are still within the castle, so he can't even pull the "I'm the only ally you have out here" card yet.)
In response, he simply defends his 'complex' character, stating that he has every right to threaten the princess' life because 'he grew up fighting, and it's a natural response' and when I tell him that he can't have his character throw vulgarities that don't even fit the fantastical setting we're playing in, he gets extremely defensive, saying that I'm trying to take away his agency in the rp we've barely even started.
Now I wonder: is this my fault? Did I make my character too overpowered and difficult to interact with? I don't know if I was in the wrong here, so I'd like to know what all of you think.

I currently have a 5 bed/3.5 bath three story house.
The third story is half unfinished attic, half bedroom with detached full bath. A sort of small pseudo-suite. My spouse works from home and currently uses it as a home office and work suite.
The second floor has the mastemain bedroom and mastemain full bath, two reasonably sized bedrooms with a Jack and Jill full bath, and a small bedroom not attached to anything. It’s got a tiny closet that’s barely usable. It was staged as a nursery when we bought it, because it’s mostly just big enough for a crib and rocking chair. I’m currently using it as an exercise room with my bike and a yoga mat.
The first floor has the kitchen with a small attached walk through laundry-ish room. It opens on to our back porch, but it’s barely a room. It’s basically a hallway with closet doors that are too small for the washer and dryer to fit in properly, so they just kind of stick out awkwardly as you walk past to get to the porch and back yard.
The kitchen was last updated in the 1990s. I would like to remodel it. I would like to take down the adjoining wall to the laundry space to open it up and have the kitchen open out to the back porch. It would let in more light and give us more kitchen space. But then my options for laundry would be to have it in the kitchen behind closet doors with no good place to actually store laundry… or to turn that tiny bedroom into a second floor laundry room.
From a value perspective would it make more sense to
1) Call the house a 4 bed/3.5 bath with a second floor laundry room 2) Keep the 5th bedroom, leave the laundry where it’s at / maybe make that hall a bit more functional, and renovate the kitchen at the size it is or 3. Keep the 5th bedroom, tear out the laundry/kitchen wall and incorporate a pantry/closet type area to hide the laundry in the kitchen
From a structural perspective, tearing out that wall is feasible. We had a structural engineer evaluate, and it’s non-load bearing with the major structural beam running perpendicular. Additionally, that small bedroom shares a wall with the master bath, and the third floor hot water heater is directly above it. So running the plumbing lines wouldn’t be too terribly difficult. It’s also got an exterior wall that could easily vent the dryer.
So all the above options are possibilities. I just need to decide what I want. I fear losing the laundry space all together (option 3) is the worst of them, because a non-dedicated laundry space that’s shared with the kitchen feels not ideal.
I don’t ever plan on having more than two kids… so I don’t feel like I personally need a 5th bedroom, and a laundry room would be more useful to me there. But my spouse raises the very valid concern that with two kids, if we continue to keep one bedroom as an office, we really have no good guest bedrooms.
In terms of value when we go to sell (some day, not soon), what would generally be considered better - a larger kitchen with a dedicated second floor laundry room and 4 bedrooms? Or a smaller kitchen with a somewhat awkward first floor laundry hall, and 5 bedrooms?

Coworker was dealing with a group of douches. One of them said something along the lines of "this food is terrible, blah blah blah, ive eaten better ass than this food."
This is a family restaurant, mind you, on mothers day.
Whats the best way to embarass someone after they say shit like that? Give me your worst.

I held off on pens 2 and 3 for two weeks each- today I used pen 4. I learned through this shortage that I can indeed maintain my weight, and maybe lose even a tiny bit using 5.0 spaced two weeks apart. So that’s the (only) silver lining of the shortage for me so far. And that was amazing to know!!! Once I went past two weeks I could feel a big difference.
One thing I found out about myself is that, like many people, he med makes be very uninterested in alcohol of any kind. But I saw that when it began to really wear off that I had a couple of drinks and THAT made me eat much more. I may possibly become a nondrinker just for that reason alone!
If I can’t find anything, not even 2.5 (which I could not find near me easily) I will go to compound. My insurance doesn’t cover it anyway. But I’m honestly so happy that the alternative even exists!!

Not the only quest in RDR2 (or other Rockstar games for that matter) that I found in bad taste, but I was at least hoping for a payout. Instead I had to do yet another thing that seems uncharacteristically cruel for my Arthur at least, for nothing more than a bad joke. Kinda hilarious how looting the professors body is the only dishonorable thing in this one.
Silver Lining: at least the professor got his comeuppance

So my cousin came to visit my family this past week. It was just her it’s her first time visiting. She’s staying with my parents and my sister that’s a sophomore in high school. I live in my own house like 25min away.
I haven’t been able to go to my parents house all week but I finally went yesterday for Mother’s Day.
Apparently she hasn’t really came out of her room. I think because she’s really not that used to my family. I have always been close to my cousins dad and I would go and visit them in Florida often. I mostly hung out with him and her brother. I was always really nice and cool with them.
So when I went over she started coming out of the room more just felt more comfortable. I suggested we all go out for ice cream for Mother’s Day. So my parents, her, and my sister went. They went in their car and I went in my own car. As we are sitting in the ice cream shop nobody is talking. My parents aren’t talking my sister isn’t even making conversation with her. So I started talking asking about how school is going, her sports etc… I think she liked that and started talking a lot.
Then as we are leaving my cousin asks me if I’m going back to my parents house. I tell her I am and she asks infront of them if she can ride back with me. I tell her sure I think my parents were surprised, they don’t really know how close of a relationship I have to her dad.
So we ride back and we’re just talking about when they were little growing up playing video games etc..
When we get home, my parents haven’t gotten home yet. So I tell her well let’s go wait for them. As I’m starting to open my car she immediately asks me do you talk to anyone in Florida?
So her asking if she could ride back to my parents house with me and her asking that right as I’m reaching for my door made me think maybe she wanted to talk about something. So I tell her no, then she kind of starts telling me about things she doesn’t like with some of our family members in Florida. At this point I do feel kinda weird. I’m having a conversation with an 8th grader in my car and then my parents get home. And when my mom sees me and her inside the car talking. As everybody goes inside my mom starts making a waving motion for us to come inside. She did it in way where I could tell she might have been thinking something was strange.
After that we got out and went inside.
Later on she started asking about things to do in our city. One thing people in my city do is walk around this really close lake at night. There’s a hill there and you can see a cool view of the city. I told her we should take her. So I tell my parents and my sister to take my cousin to the lake. They agree but once we get there my parents didn’t want to walk around it. They’re getting older and there’s some steep hills around so they said they would just wait by a bench. My sister didn’t want to walk either.
We brought my cousin all this way and they didn’t want to walk with us. So I take her up to the hill we talk about the family I try to give some advice etc..
The whole thing has left me uneasy. With the way my mom reacted when she saw us in the car. Them seeing me really sociable with her at the ice cream place. I’m not that sociable with my own family but I saw her and her brother grow up. Me a 31 year old spending time with an 8th grader.
How her mom or dad could interpret “yeah I hung out with my 31 year old cousin.”
I don’t know why I feel this way I never meant to cross a line. I was just trying to be nice but the way things are now a days. People’s minds might have their own perspective.
TLDR: cousin came to visit from Florida. She’s been staying at my parents. She’s hasn’t really been the sociable this weeks until I finally went over this weekend. She feels really comfortable with me and she wanted to spend alot of time with me but it’s left me feeling uneasy on how people might think about that

My fence is in the front yard but is well beyond 20’ of the front of the property line. My neighbor complained to the town and they visited me today to advise that the town code has changed and the website hasn’t been updated yet. They’re going to speak to the town website admin as I’m apparently not the first home owner burned by this. Do I have any case to sue the town in small claims for the materials I’ve invested so far (close to $1000)? I’m sure they have protections for this kind of thing but is it possible they’ll disregard my summons and I’ll get a default judgment? I have a corner lot so what would be considered my front vs back yard is subjective

I'm looking for a flash game I used to play in my childhood.
So, I've been trying to find this game but I have no clue what the name was. It was like an age of war type of game, but you had like 3 factions I believe, which one of them were hogs, and like you would upgrade or buy better types of army, and the other thing I remember was that one of the other factions were like really big dudes that used logs as a weapon, I remember just finding it by typing "free games" on Google back in like 2011 so I really have no clue what the name was.
It was also a 2D game, but instead of having to send your troops in a single line like age of war, you were able to send multiple troops to attack in a more rectangular area. Thanks.

I decided to use the arc thrower as a laugh against the bugs today... and I fell in love with it. I do have the upgrades on the ship so i have extra arcs and such, but it is so much fun to just keep zapping the bugs:

• It isn't effective in close range (close enough to melee), you need to be a few metres or so away from them for it to be effective
• The range surprises me, if you actually aim above the targets you want, it will go farther and I have hit monsters surprisingly far away. then watch it hop to others, I have wiped out a few patrols and bug breaches (difficulty 6 only so far) happily.
• Yes it is line of sight and it seems to connect to the targets centre of mass. so be careful if bugs are hiding behind rocks and terrain, you need full view of their centre of mass.
• It penetrates chargers and bile titans and you can kill them with it (yes it takes a while, but it is actually fun to have something that can hurt these buggers that isn't explosive).
• if you have multiple chargers close enough, it will zap multiple ones at once. Watching an arc jump from a bile titan to another smaller bug is fun.
• When you keep zapping a Charger or bile titan, ocasionally, you will see a chunk of their body explode outwards... it is very satisfying.
• If you can work out the rhythm of it, after your first shot, it will actually charger the second shot onwards faster, think it takes about 1 second to charge after the first shot - you can start charging it again the moment you released an arc. You will be surprised how fast it can fire when you get the hang of the zapping charging rhythm.
• You can zap shriekers in the sky with one zap... albeit, it can be hit or miss.
• It is versatile since it hurts all variants of the bugs, knocks them back too (except the big ones), brood commanders cannot get close since you keep stunning them and pushing them back!
• I have tested it on bots and it does damage the hulks and has a minor stagger to them too.
• have not confirmed it's ability against tanks, drop ships, gunships, cannon towers, emplacements or factory striders - have fun testing it!

TL;DR - zapper is fun, it zaps everything!

I meant to stop my NF subscription for a while because I'm getting bored (have been for a long time) with Netflix, but I forgot and missed it by one day so will wait another month and mull over my options during the meantime. However, I just noticed that Netflix has an option for cancellation only and there was no mention of having a total of ten months to pause service. Is this no feature longer available?
I started sub'ing Netflix back when it was mail-DVD only, I think it was 2003. I was late to streaming NF, which we began in 2008 via my kids' Wii. I can't remember how much we paid in the beginning, but I could swear it was $4.99/month at the time for 2 or 3 movies, or maybe that was the one movie option. If anyone remembers or knows what the price was back then would you please share that info with me just to satisfy curiosity? The earliest and lowest price I can find online right now is $9.99 a month, but I remember when it went up to $9.99 and had to think about whether or not it was worth keeping because it took a while to watch a movie, get it back in the mail, get another movie, watch it, get it back in the mail, and then get another one all within a month's time -- we're very rural in the middle of absofreakinglutley nowhere and the mail takes about 2 or 3 days longer each way for us. It was still great programming at the time, and the added streaming was a huge plus, so we kept it and have been with NF since...more than two decades.
However, my kids are older now, the platform has greatly changed, and there isn't much on Netflix that interests me anymore, or rather, possibly there is but it is too difficult for my feeble old brain to browse. There used to be a great site that had a database of most of what NF had, and it seemed to keep up with the monthly changes pretty well, but they haven't been doing that for a while now. Looking at pages of huge thumbnails of what is immediately current is a pia. If anyone knows of a site that keeps track of titles (such as a database), then would you please share that link? Something like that is much easier to use.
I enjoy many of the foreign shows, but more and more of them don't have English audio dub. Although I enjoyed subtitles in the past, neuro issues have now made it nigh impossible for me to read them while trying simultaneously to watch the show. This genre is the biggest reason I kept NF after the database website stopped keeping the database. So before beginning ponderations on whether or not NF is worth the $276/year, I'd like to better understand NF's steaming options. Although my laptop and mobile devices are 1080, my TVs and desktop are 4K or UHD. My ISP plan definitely has the ability to deliver the higher resolutions, but recently I saw a video on YouTube where this guy was talking about not getting 4K. I stupidly didn't write down the title, didn't save or bookmark it, and now I cannot remember the title or the channel or the person so can't go back and find out what this was all about. He did some digging and talked to NF and .... I absolutely cannot remember what he was saying, but it was along the lines of not only do we need to have the appropriate equipment capable of streaming and viewing 4K, but we have to also have the precise equipment that NF wants us to have. Please do not ask me for details because I have no clue. My memory has deteriorated considerably. Do any of you know about this 4K/UHD issue and needing equipment that Netflix wants us to use? I was thinking that if I cannot really get 4K (sometimes I know I do not but I thought perhaps it was just glitches with router), then perhaps it is not a big deal to jump down to the one device plan at 1080 since I'm the only person using NF in my family.
If this is the case, then I'd like to compare the viewing quality of a 4K show, UHD, and 1080. It is easy to find 4K, but when I search for UHD, I get the same 4K titles. I'm guessing that this is because the vert is the same but not the horizontal? Does anyone know? But if I search for 1080, well, that doesn't really matter. Do any of you know of a show on NF that is not the higher rez's so I can use it for comparison?
I'd really like to get this figured out before the next billing cycle, especially considering the fact that Netflix is expected to raise rates sometime this year.
