I saw that for OPRE 3310, Calc 1 was a pre req to this class. I took Business calc 1 at Collin College Spring 2023 and barley passed that class (I suck at math). My concern is how much math is OPRE 3310 gonna use and is any of it calc related? I took OPRE 3360 which required calc, however at least in my class (my prof was Anyan Qi) we did practically no calculus and all the math was either simple multiplication/addition etc in a calculator, or functions in excel.
I heard that OPRE 3360 was more math heavy and harder then OPRE 3310 and I got an A- in 3360, should I be worried if I pretty much don't remember anything from Calc 1 for OPRE 3310?
Edit: I technically had an A in Calc 1, however I already had gotten my acceptance to UTD so I was told I just needed a C- for that course, so I straight up didnt show up for the final exam and my grade dropped from a 92 to a 75 and I still got the credit as if I gotten a A in the class.

I am looking for some recommendations, I have leveled both a full feral (leader of the pack > Omen of Clarity) and full balance (Moonkin form > Reflection) druid, and I am in the process of leveling a third SF druid. I wanted to level as a healer, but given how dead HC feels right now, I want to live the Druid dream as a versatile class to fill Healing and DPS roles.
Right now I am theorizing two different builds and I am not sure which is better overall.
First is the Omen of Clarity / Boomy build: Druid Classic Season of Discovery (SoD) Talent Calculator - Classic World of Warcraft (wowhead.com). Pros: Very safe in open world, Moonkins are almost as tanky as Dire Bear, and allows you to very easily solo elite mobs, and more difficult quest mobs (root + dot). Barkskin + Hurricane does a tonne of damage fairly safely, allows you to AOE mobs and finish them off in Dire Bear Form. You can focus on + spell power items over raw stats, and hybrid DPS in dungeons, i.e. Cast in Moonkin with mana / for bosses, and switch to cat to DPS in dungeons with Omen of Clarity. Cons: Less dps overall than HotW spec, mana hungry.
Second is the Heart of the Wild build: Druid Classic Season of Discovery (SoD) Talent Calculator - Classic World of Warcraft (wowhead.com). Pros: I can make use of a wider range of gear, and would be able to level essentially as feral and heal in dungeons. This build would level significantly faster than a Omen of Clarity / Boomy oriented build. Cons: I'm not sure how viable healing Sunken Temple+ would be, even with a healing offset.
Let me know what you think I am open to suggestions.
Right now I am leaning towards Boomy, leveling would be significantly safer from my experience, however leveling efficiency would be significantly reduced when compared to HotW spec. I have already lived the Boomy dream and am not sure if I need to go through it again, the leveling time between my initial builds was roughly 27h played or 18% faster as feral.

Tale as old as time. In the last year I've become extremely burnt out working at my boutique strategy consulting firm, to the point where it's affecting my mental (depression, anxiety, shame, self-doubt, breakdowns every week where I cry for hours) and physical health (getting sick frequently, cankersores from stress, lethargy and difficulty concentrating). At first, I was incredibly anxious about getting laid off, but now I'm at the point of numbness where I almost wish they'd axe me so I can get at least collect severance. I have also been job searching passively over the last year as well, but have had exactly one company respond (a screener call which I flubbed).
I'm at a crossroads now where I want to quit so I can focus on rest and recovery for 3-6 months, but I'm also terrified of a) not being able to re-enter the job market again, and b) the opportunity cost of my career trajectory and earnings in the meantime. I keep thinking maybe I'm just being weak/sensitive and I just need to push through and put in more effort at work (where they've delayed my promotion due to the negative financial performance of the company and are applying a lot of psychological pressure to get us to work more) so I can feel better about myself. But I'm also scared of pushing myself to a breaking point and thus compounding the amount of time it takes to recover.
I am currently looking into the feasibility of taking a few months of FMLA leave for my mental health but I know it's going to send red flags to HR and essentially start the countdown to when I have to leave the company. Regardless, I probably want to leave consulting altogether because it's too high-stress with poor WLB and not a good personality fit. I actually have multiple colleagues who have quit without a job lined up, probably also due to burnout, but the job market is just so shit right now from my experience. It seems like nobody wants to hire for strategy, and if they do, it's 20% less pay and 400 applications within the week.
I did some calculations and I can exist comfortably on my savings for 2+ years of unemployment (without dipping into the retirement savings and brokerage accounts). But just because I could doesn't mean I should, right? Would I be okay if I took a 3-6 month or plus break, or am I digging myself into a deeper hole once I try to re-enter this abysmal job market? Been seeing some complaints about the changes in Song of Strife, especially regarding the Secret Travelogue and the Growth Bundle, so I thought I would do some math to figure out how much value is actually lost. In the meantime, I also calculated out which banners are the best to pull from, the cost of S- and A-level heroes by dollar and by gems (the latter differing depending on the banner). The Key Findings is the tl;dr. The rest is just showing my work. Enjoy!
Key Findings:

1. Song of Strife Noble Path Secret Travelogue is, at the most generous, only 60% as valuable as Pre-Season Noble Path Secret Travelogue.
   
2. Song of Strife Growth Bundle is slightly better, being ~4.7% more valuable than Pre-Season Growth Bundle.
   
3. For S-level Heroes, the banners with the best to worst values are: Epic Recruitment, Rate-Up, and All-Hero.
   
4. It's actually less expensive, gem-wise, to get a Celestial or Hypogean Hero via Scamgazer than an S-level via All-Hero Recruitment.
   
5. If you have A-level Heroes with the same pull priority as S-level, it is more cost-effective to put those on your Epic Recruitment than S-levels.
   
6. If pulling from All-Hero, an S-level Hero costs $21.95 and an A-level Hero costs $2.00.
   
7. If pulling from Rate-Up, an S-level Hero costs $16.67 and an A-level Hero costs $5.00.
   

Baselines
I'll be using the baseline of 270 gems per All-Hero Recruitment letter (2700 gems per 10-pull) and 300 gems per Rate-Up Recruitment Letter.
I will also be using the in-game percentages, without considering pity (since it seems like the consensus that the rate has pity built in). If there's enough interest, I might run these calcs again, but assuming you only hit pity.
Epic Recruitment Letters
This is hard to value. If priced using Emporium, each letter is worth 400 gems.
If priced using Gazettes, each letter is worth 514 gems (12,000 gems for $5, 70 letters for $15). If you take into account AFKJ's "Value" proposition that the Classic Gazette is of better value than the Premium Gazette, you get that each letter is worth ~441 gems.
I'll make calcs based on all three, with results in XXX/XXX/XXX format, representing calcs using 400/441/514 gems, respectively.

A-level Soulstones: 68 Dolly Tickets S-level Soulstones: 550 Dolly Tickets You need 60 of each for one Hero of that tier, meaning AFK Journey values S-levels at ~8.1x the value of A-level.

I self-studied for the Calc BC exam and I'm trying to guess my score using the Albert calculator but it says for frq 5 that there is a BC part and an AB part, what exactly does this mean? Is the frq 5 on BC just the AB frq with more added to it or something?

I was looking through possible options for colleges to go into musical theater. I really can't get into debt right now and when I went through the official nyu net price calc it was a little under 10k including room and board. That's just a little more than going to a community college where I'm at! Are there any fees that they don't consider in calculations or is it really that good? I have seen many people needing help with Gallagher’s energy thresholds, so I figured that since I’d already done some of the math, I should do the rest and write up something to help everyone know what choice should be made and why. And also because it is one of the main reasons these calcs mater I will also include SP (Skill Points)/turn gains and BE (Break Effect) opportunity cost for each
Before I get into the long version: the TLDR is if you need more SP from Gallagher (Firefly teams will need this) You can use energy planar set (such as Penacony set), break rope, and a non energy LC such as “What is Real” or “Multiplication” and normal attack every turn for the lowest BE cost to have the most SP/turn. If you have somebody else generating enough SP in some team comp, you can use Post Op Conversation , Energy Rope, and energy planar for very fast ults but SP negative
When calculating what actions Gallagher should be using each rotation of ults, I will prioritize Basic attacks/normal attacks over skills if possible, and have both the lowest turn count and highest SP gain. I will also be calculating the fastest way to get your first ult with E1. SP/turn considers the ult advance as not an additional turn, but does consider it’s SP change
All calc assume no teammates provide energy or energy regeneation rating, and Gallagher never gets hit

Yes it is, the original reason was that I am a F2P player and wish for this guide to be useful for F2P players If you would like to know however, the only thing it changes is both LC+something else can switch 1 skill for a basic attack and using HuoHuo sig+energy rope lets you normal 4 times per ult
Why assume Gallagher never gets hit? Why not use Thief 4? Why no ally energy? A main goal of this was for these to be 100% reliable and independent

Now going to MyPath, I am trying to file the W3 form, and it asks me how much PA Withholding Tax, which I interpret as the Employer contribution rate from the UC to enter. However, it expects me to pay it again.
Am I understanding what the correct PA tax withheld on the W3 form is? If it’s not, what is considered PA tax withheld on the W3 form? Am I expected to pay twice for employer tax withheld on the UC portal and on myPath?

For context: This is my first job out of college. Spent months and months applying with nothing but rejection. I finished a master's, yet I don't think I know much or am very good at chemistry.
I have been working at this place for slightly less than 2 months so far. Training is very rough, I had to go out of my way and beg somebody to train me for HPLC, since I want to learn it as a skill. The QC head at first outright refused, saying something like "He doesn't have experience, he won't know how to do X, Y, Z anyway". If I need to learn how to insert myself on production batches, then I am at best a third wheel and I only inconvenience my coworkers.
The past few weeks my boss is getting worse with his criticisms and attitude toward me, to the point that it is greatly affecting my mental health. I'll be doing a reaction for the first time and he's essentially a drill sergeant while also being degrading about my potential as a chemist. "Where did you learn chemistry", "I'm disappointed", etc. - And no - no major mistakes where I failed a reaction or broke something expensive.
Today he said that I'm a disappointment to the company and that he expected more from me when I was hired. He also said my 2 coworkers (ones who are also young like me), do not want to work with me or like me, because I don't catch on quickly/am not a quick learner and "I just sit and watch" instead of inserting myself on large-scale production batches. He said I should avoid asking them questions too, because it might make me look dumb.
I've been trying my best to learn the processes. This is a small pharmaceutical production company with hundreds of thousands of dollars at stake if a reaction goes wrong. People who can independently run these will have at least 3+ years of experience, but even then, most of the time it is done by someone who's been here for 10+ years. I try to insert myself and always ask questions/offer help and I can tell I'm just annoying them.
My boss will nitpick and find little things to criticize me about. How I did a calculation, for example. It gave me the correct answer, yet he said I make it too confusing and write too much/take too long to do the calculation. If I'm using a new piece of glassware/fitting that I've never used before, he basically won't tell me what to do and act like my own intuition and problem-solving should tell me all I need to know - no training required, this isn't school, this is your job - his words.
He might actually show me how to do something one time and expect me to have mastered it if it needs to be done a month later. It could be something that has a good amount of steps such as adjusting several valves in a certain order on top of other things. I make one mistake on said process, I'll be berated and told I don't pay attention.
And lastly, there's quite the language barrier here. Both of the people who run this department including my boss, do not speak English well. I cannot always understand what they say and they get mad when I misinterpret it.
I just want to gain experience and eventually be a success. But from what he's been saying and what he said today, it makes me feel like a total failure and that I am too dumb to work and my degree is a lie. I'm so scared that if I lose this job, it will be another 8 months of my life down the drain, with nothing but rejection and unemployment... I just don't know what to do.

Today was my AP exam and it was Precalculus, and because of the weird format (calc active then non active then active and non active again) i was confused on when i should use my calculator
I ended up using my calculator on a portion of the exam I wasn't supposed to, and apparently my coordinator will report this to college board as a midadministration and my score could be cancelled
Does anyone know what will happen? I honestly dont really care too much if they cancel just this one score (i was kinda sleeping the entire exam today anyways) however I do not want this to affect my SAT and other AP exams i get scores for in july

I'm absolutely exhausted. Last night, I slept, but my mind kept generating terrible things in my dreams. Though idk if there was a time this year where I wasn't tired and numb. I have to force myself to care about simply staying alive.
It doesn't help that clowning and trolling is my coping mechanism. I feel bad, so I mess with others for just a twinge of amusement. This causes everyone to leave. I suspect the isolation causes me to get even more hooked on the internet. At this point, I've been banned from every website multiple times, including 4chan. Most people I know irl are scared of me.
Though I would rather everyone fear me or find me weird than have to put on that dumb persona again. Never again. I prefer wearing my other personas. I could, of course, be my "natural self", but I haven't done that since I was a toddler, and now, there's a very thin line between a genuine and the fabricated.
Tbh, if anyone's destined to be alone, it's me. As a kid, I was content with being alone, and just wanted people to leave me alone. When I actually tried letting people be my friends, they only caused pain and problems. Most people are fake, they left and found new temporary people to hang out with. I found that non-neurotypicals are easier to talk to. Though most of them seem to be more social than me.
I need to empty my mind, but I can't, it's constantly active, constantly thinking. The thoughts keep getting jumbled together. It's hard to focus on even the simplest things. It doesn't help that the professors don't actually teach the topic, they just teach how to do the tests, especially in math. Like, it's objectively simple, and I can do the calculations no problem, but tell me what's going on in the calculations, and what I can calculate using them. I slept through calc 3 and still passed it, but idk what the applications will be. You know what, I should look it up myself.
Typing that actually gave me a bit of motivation. I should get back into my motivation and self-improvement obsession. That phase was the happiest I've ever been. I'd get up at 2 AM every morning, blast motivational speeches, workout, clean, make breakfast, and complete everything I needed for the day before sunrise. I'm tempted to go to bed early tonight so I can do that again. Whenever I sleep in (anything past 4 AM is sleeping in to me), I feel terrible and lazy. Maybe productivity is the cure for burnout.
At the same time, I'm constantly thinking about how to maximize productivity and efficiency, even on vacation days, though I rarely get those. It's maddening.

MY REBUTTAL TO THE OBLIGATORY “IS THIS A SCAM?” QUESTION:
At the risk of sounding arrogant, I consider myself to be at least marginally more intelligent (both academically & socially) than the average person. Therefore, if I ever decided to suddenly risk prison time, risk my reputation, and risk enduring the wrath of modern-day “cancel culture” by scamming people out of their money:

• I certainly wouldn’t do it for such paltry amounts of money. (i.e., anything less than $1,000 per victim.)
• I certainly wouldn’t choose high school & college students as my “target audience” to scam, considering that most people without college degrees have abysmally low annual incomes. Why choose low-income victims when it would be much more profitable to target high-income, high-net-worth individuals earning at least six figures a year? I have knowledge in business consulting, and I promise you that a business owner would be a MUCH more lucrative mark than a low-income college student.
• I wouldn’t choose such a time & energy-draining method of scamming people. Also, communicating back and forth with potential clients is an absurdly long time sink since only less than 10% of all potential clients who reach out to me actually become paying clients of mine. This means that 90% of my time communicating with potential clients ultimately proves to be a colossal waste of my irretrievable time & energy.
• If you pay me to provide academic services and I don’t deliver, you can always dispute the payment with the payment app and easily get your money refunded. Hello, it's a little messy since I kind of repurposed this from my Atk/BE FF vs Crit FF calcs. But here are some of my calcs regarding the choice between FF signiture LC and RM signiture LC and which one results in more damage for FF herself since some people have been asking which one they should pull first.
Left tables show stats of FF and where the stats came from. Right tables show calcs for the damage for each aspect of FF's kit comming from the stats on the left. Red numbers are numbers used to calculate % difference in damages between the 2 options shown in the table below.
RM without signiture ran Memories of the Past S5 while FF without signiture ran On the Fall of an Aeon S5. The calcs where also done on a toughness 300 enemy and assumes enemies are already weakness broken for all the damage multipliers like the one on FF's ultimate. The resulting damage differences are as follows:
All % are in favour of the larger number. In short, RM LC does means FF does ~11% more damage on skills. While FF LC does ~21% more damage on breaks.
Whilst RM LC does make FF do more damage personally, her break damage takes a massive hit. Although I did not calculate superbreak, the % damage difference should be the same as regular break damage.
Things of note:

• I still managed to hit the 3.4K attack threshold for Atk -> BE conversion on S5 Fall of an Aeon due to Aeons having an attack% passive which FF LC did not have. So the high base attack of FF LC was mitigated.
• Both got full effects from BE -> Def ignore since the BE needed was reachable for both LC's. You will need pretty cracked substats to still get this with RM LC however. 16 substats of BE to be exact. With FF LC, this was not a concern at all as you can imagine. Including harmony MC will lower this BE substat reliance depending on however much BE you can make them give with E4, since it can vary, I decided not to include them. You can simply lower the 16 substat threshold according to your own HTB.
• These calcs did not account for the extra skill points generated by RM LC as well as the energy she gets (although I think the energy portion is whatever to most people anyways since it's so unreliable) or the energy she gets from Memories of the Past. These calcs were done with only FF's damage in mind. SP/energy management in a team is a whole other can of worms.
