2020.04.26 15:47 TylerTheDismantler Just bought my first g-shock!

I’ve been interested in dress watches for quite some time and decided I wanted an every day wear watch. I’m a powerline technician in Canada and I work in the harshest environments you can imagine. I almost pulled the trigger on a luminox but after watching a YouTube review about how the g-shock is more durable I was tickled pink to see the price substantially lower as well! I ordered the GLX5600HSC-3 due to it being a bit more minimalist on my wrist. My leather lineman gloves are long and will protect it for the most part. Really excited about this as now I’ll have a watch to wear while hunting, working out, playing hockey, and in the water on vacation as well. Nice to meet you all, will post pictures when it arrives!

How do you not see how much of a fucking weasel you are being. "Oh oh calling an entire region of the world a shit hole isn't ACTUALLY racist because that isn't the literal definition of racism hur dur Islam isn't a race" Baselessly Insinuating the first black president is from a different country and that his precidency is illegitimate for his entire tenure isn't ACTUALLY racist because they investigated it, of course I'm sure you were all up in arms over Ted Cruz being from Canada. A name firmly cemented in the hearts and minds of the bass music community. This native of Western Canada is respected the world over as a producer of the highest quality dance floor bangers. He has had numerous #1 hits on Beatport and continues to crush the charts time and time again. His ability to craft uniquely awesome bass sounds and his versatile composition skills have made him stand out, driving his career in exciting new directions. Whether its mixing records for bands like Korn, shredding as an alien bass lord in side project Destroid, or working on new material for Downlink, this tireless producer is always cooking up something heavy. For over 5 years now he has been touring the planet, leaving a wake of awe-struck audiences in his path. To see him live is to witness one of the tightest technical DJ's in the game. His 4 deck live mixing and infectious stage energy light up venues turning crowds on their heads time after time. Expect lightning fast mixing on a journey through a wide variety of bass music. All tempos are fair game but prepare for underground vibes and dirty bass. Downlink is not one to be pigeon-holed and is constantly on a quest to evolve and refine his sound. With this in mind, one thing will always remain constant - a pure, unadulterated, heavy listening experience...

Phuture is an Atlanta / Chicago based group founded in 1985 by DJ Pierre, Spank Spank and Herb J. The group's 1987 release "Acid tracks" lay claim to being the first-ever Acid house record using Roland's TB-303 that kick started a whole new genre of music that has been emulated by countless artists around the world. After a 20 year break apart, original members Pierre and Spank Spank are back together. Now with newest member Lothario Lee, they plan on picking up where they left off. Creating music that changes the game once again and pushing their sound even further than before.

The Planet of the Drums kru was initially created as an outlet for all of us to perform together at different shows and events. Over the years however, that concept evolved. We feel that it is our calling to not only promote quality drum and bass Stateside, but also help provide a voice for our scene as well. Our music has languished in small back rooms on undersized sound rigs for far too long. We are taking a firm stand— ’enough is enough.’ Promoters need to either represent fully or not represent at all…and as Planet of the Drums we will not support those that try to use our scene strictly as a means to line their pockets. Through unification we hope to increase awareness, improve conditions for junglists nationwide and let everyone know that drum and bass isn’t just dance music, it is a way of life. The days of the ‘side room’ need to come to an end… our music deserves its place in the main room. Planet of the Drums kru represents everyone trying to make a positive difference in our scene. Please support your local drum and bass scene, promoters, djs and producers.

Luminox made a statement in 2012 by championing the trap-style sound, a blend of trap and hardstyle elements. His remixes of Sandro Silva's “Epic” and Bingo Player's “Rattle” have become staples in the trap game, and he continues to hone his production skills through numerous originals. It's undeniable that LUMINOX has helped pioneer the EDM / Hip-Hop blend movement we know as Trap Music and there's a 110% probability that you've heard at least one of his bass-filled hits. His original productions and remixes are being rocked by some of the biggest artist's in the world, and there's no sign of slowing down for this young American producer.

T.Linder and DJ Seoul share a similar upbringing in the world of electronic music. Both lifelong Detroiters, these two formidable DJs gained their underground education by studying the techniques of the versatile street-style DJs of their youth: notably DJs like Jeff Mills, Claude Young, and Gary Chandler. The no-nonsense, all encompassing approach to the craft shaped the formative years of the young DJs, and this aesthetic is still evident in their performances today. Both Seoul and Linder share a great deal of respect for their musical forefathers and display it through a painstaking touring and production schedule both as solo artists and as the DTM 2x4.
The Detroit Techno Militia 2x4 is a combined ensemble performance by these two powerhouse DJs playing on four turntables at the same time. Seoul and Linder are both students of Techno history and share a great love for the tradition of DJing. Their weapons of choice: analog turntables with vinyl records- without the aid of computers or controllers. Listeners can expect to hear an aggressive, edgy blend of music, spanning many genres and eras with a heavy emphasis on homegrown Detroit Techno and Electro Bass. Their energy and expertise directly reflects their passion for the music and their 30+ years of combined professional DJ experience.

There's only one person on the planet who's mastered the special fusion of jacking acid house, funky bass lines and precise mixing techniques that made Terry Mullan famous -- and that's Mullan himself. A product of the Chicago house explosion that rocked the Midwest in the '80s and '90s, Mullan melded turntablism with house music in ways that no one had ever heard before.
As the world of electronic music has expanded and morphed, so have Mullan's abilities to spin sets for masses of dancers in prestigious clubs all over the planet. In addition, he's managed to stay relevant while remaining faithful to the underlying soulful, hip-bumping element that classifies the Chicago house sound. The man's technique and selection are world-renowned, and he'll no doubt showcase both in Milwaukee.

Zooly has been making music for roughly two and a half years. Stepping into the game right in the heyday of trap music (late 2012-2013), this young West Coast native hit the ground running and hasn’t slowed down since. Although Zooly’s sound has only improved over the years, his style has remained the same: a genreless hybrid of dubstep and trap music with that special west coast flavor!

Phantom 45, a Chicago native and drum n’ bass icon has been and continues to be the gateway through which many enter the world of Drum and Bass. Phantom has seen the world change and plays the rhythm of this transformation every weekend with his brand of smokin’ Jungle/Drum-n-Bass. Influenced by U.K. producers such as DJ Hype, Andy C. and the entire moving Shadow label, Phantom 45 began to forge a new way of presenting this musical movement in the U.S. as far back as 1991. His understanding of Breakbeats, House music and Rave culture increased his demand as a touring DJ, landing him the Chicago Krush Rinse Tour with Danny The Wildchild and Dr. Groo in 2000 and The Fully Sorted Tour in 2002! As he sees it he’s “just playing the tunes people need to hear” speaks volumes, for he spins what he feels – nothing more..nothing less.
Striving to captivate uncharted bass territories TEKNiCOLOR is no stranger to dance music. Performing all over the Midwest, TEKNiCOLOR’s tenacity for unpredictable sets combine an eclectic array of originals and unheard tracks performed with electrifying energy guaranteed to remain one-of-a-kind. Developing from his original productions such as Circle of Life, True, Bassface, Bonus Level, and remixes of the likes of House Of Pain, Cold Blank, Kaskade, and Diplo it’s no surprise he was recently dubbed as the “fastest rising produceDJ in the Midwest”. Moreover, through his success TEKNiCOLOR has an EP forthcoming Moomba+ Records. TEKNiCOLOR has opened for the most prominent players in the bass music scene, such as Skrillex, Dillon Francis, Flosstradamus, Infected Mushroom, Alvin Risk, Griz, Vaski, The M Machine, gLAdiator, and many more. Coming from a background like no other combined with the mass combination of influence, talent, dedication, innovation, and commitment; TEKNiCOLOR truly is one artist you don’t want to miss.

Started when he was still a teenie, BassdoctoRx was in multiple bands from ska to metal. He wanted to try something new and the Chicago underground caught his interest. He started from the bottom of after parties and moved his way up to full scale events and small local festivals in greater Chicagoland area. Now, BassDoctoRx is ready to blow your eardrums with some of the sickest tracks that the underground music scene has to offer.
Your neighborhood BassdoctoRx has played with such names as JRabbit, Dieselboy, Minnesota, Dj Muggs, Big Chocolate, Grimblee, Forest Green, Danny The Wild Child, and Heyoka. Dubstep, Trap, Drumstep, and Drum and Bass are his specialties, with a strong passion for music, the dose of bass pumping out of the speakers comes a sound that only a licensed doctor can prescribe. The Shadow People project came together in 2009 as a result of a partnership between Jonn Hawley and JC Hanna. Drawn together by a shared passion for moving crowds keeping quality at the forefront of electronic music, they decided to begin working on projects at Hawley’s Foundation 75 Studios. With Jonn’s technical ability in the studio along with JC’s DJ sensibility and love for darker rhythms, the Shadow People project has truly taken on a life of it’s own. After the release of their first few projects on labels such as Smoke City (NYC/Huddersfield), Lingo Recordings (Cincinnati), as well as their own Soul Fuel imprint, they've decided to take their act on the road. With a combined 35 years of experience behind the decks, this duo blurs the lines between house and techno through a combination of live elements as well as a seamless blending on a 4 deck setup. These two are on a mission to help put the vibe back into the scene that is deeply rooted in the past as well as focused on the sounds of the future.

Made in England, Jessica Fenner aka Fortune, came from a family that loved throwing big parties with live music, dancing and 200 or so happy people - clearly to blame for her passion for music events! Playing piano, flute and saxophone, early years were also influenced by local Bristol artists, Massive Attack, Roni Size, Morcheeba. When rave culture erupted in the 80s, Steve Silk Hurley's Jack Your Body landed at #1 on the top 40 charts, The Prodigy and Carl Cox became household names, and the young music fan was hooked. By 16, she was involved with a local promotions outfit Transition, and was even suspended for taking younger girls clubbing!

Flashback to 1994 at some random rave in Chicago. A goofy looking kid hands Drop Bass Network a demo cassette and says “hardcore Chicago you pussy motherfucker.” (Dave 6:6-6) Despite not musically fitting in with the DBN catalog at the time, it became “Deep 13” (dbn010). This release has been often cited by hardcore djs/producers as an influential classic. He followed it up with “Hate Tank” (dbn024) and then several more releases on Lenny Dee’s powerhouse Industrial Strength Records. In total he’s dropped the hardcore bass with over 40 releases on labels across the planet, and appears on over 200 compilations. He has also done remixes for such bands as Napalm Death, Corrosion of Conformity, and Soil. As one of the most revered dj/producers in hardcore he’s traveled all over the US, Europe, and beyond. His hard as nails style of music has been worshiped by the faithful from underground warehouses, to massive Dutch gabber events. Hardcore will never die!

Steve spent every weekend of the summer camping in a tent. Not soaking up vibes and timing bass drops at the latest EDM festival, but instead soaking up jumps and timing gate drops at Midwest BMX tracks. He’s the rad dude out there in all black gear, riding a murdered out Truth bicycle. “I am the way, the truth, and the life.” (John 14:6) Oh yea, as Intellephunk he’s thrown some of the most bad ass underground techno parties in the Midwest and 9 years of Communion Sundays. As a dj, his heroically long techno sets are the stuff of legend. He also produced a record for Drop Bass Network called “Somebody Went to Detroit & All I Got Was the Itchy Hawtins” (dbn070).

Jethrox IS Drop Bass Network. And what more can be said about that? The notorious rave crew that was somehow responsible for 80-some events from 1992-2003, including anniversaries, dbn.nye, and Even Furthur. A record label and sub-labels with 80-some vinyl releases coveted by djs worldwide. He has been booked to play hard tunes at gigs all over the US, and he’s even shown up for some of them. And rather than just take another booking on nye, it made more sense to take a room and fill it with old school dbn decor, subkulture audio, headlights, lots of fog, and hard mu.sick. “Keep the sound underground and rave on.” (DBN 92:4LIF)
