I just got the PS5 version of Part 2 and replayed the story. It's honestly the first time I've gone back to play it all the way through since my first run through on PS4. I wasn't one of the people online who review bombed or posted endlessly about it being a terrible game, garbage, whatever. I am still amazed at how good this game looks, the performances, the gameplay, its a technical masterpiece! That said, the story still lets me down. While the first game was obviously very serious and had moments that brought me to tears (Sarah's death still gets me every time), I still wanted to endlessly go back and replay it. The story felt so good, the relationship between Joel and Ellie was interesting and heartwarming. Part 2 simple went too far. I'm not even talking about Joel getting killed (though I wish that had been done differently), but the whole story is just absolutely depressing and I think goes on way too long. Abby is a decent character but the whole story with the Scars and Lev and everything should have been it's own game and own story. By the time you get back to the main story with her I was wanting to skip cutscenes and just move on. I think the whole thing would be the equivalent of an "oscar bait" movie, just excuses to have extreme and dramatic performances (which were good of course) but it's not something that you really want to come back to again. I still love Naughty Dog and can't wait for their next game, but I just hope they find a way to get back to games that are able to balance between interesting story while still being a fun game to come back to over and over!

In the last couple months of the season, there began to be a massive push for Victor Wembanyama to win the Defensive Player of the Year. He was leading the league in blocks (including 4 per game post-All-Star), he had the largest net rating shift for when he was on the floor and off of it, he led the league in steals, and was arguably the best defender in the NBA. All of that is true. But it can also be true that he did not deserve to be DPOY.
For one thing, I think people were underrating how good on defense Gobert was this season. The gap between Gobert and Wemby was far from massive. For estimated defensive +/-, Wemby was in the 99th percentile but Gobert was not far behind in the 96th percentile. Some advanced stats, like LEBRON and Defensive Win Shares, put Gobert ahead.
But I think some of the most telling stats is that Gobert contested 11 shots a game to Wemby's 9, Gobert held opponents to a lower FG% at the rim (below 50% and Wemby's opponents shot above 50%), and Gobert was more of a deterrent around the basket with opponents shooting 6% less at the rim when he was on the floor (which was first in the entire NBA).
So, Gobert was nearly just as good as Wemby this season as a defender but he was far more successful. The reason why I don't think Wemby deserved it is simply this: winning matters. People began to argue "It's an individual award!" and it is but the award has always factored in winning. To act like it doesn't would be dishonest. Now, you can argue it shouldn't, but that's a different discussion. You can't argue that this is the metric and that Wemby came up short. Wemby was the 14th seed, and the 5th worst team in all of basketball. And at the end of the day, wins and losses are more important than any number of counting stats you can achieve. Basketball, like all sports, is about winning. To try and separate it from winning is disingenuous and literally denies the central aspect of sport. You play to win. Is it Wemby's fault that the Spurs were bad? No. But the fact of the matter is that they are.
I believe Robert deserved DPOY over Wemby because he was 85% as good on defense, and just about 99% more successful this season.

[I AM NOT WHINING ABOUT TUNNELING. Tunneling is a valid strategy. This is simply an observation of their functionality/design]
These "newly" reworked perks have found quite a lot of use in the current meta, even though their functionality of needing all survivors to be hooked once seemingly contradicts the prevaling strategy of getting one survivor out as early as possible. But do they really? Lets look at some examples.
Say you're intentionally trying to go for an 8 Hook, so, after reading the perk descriptions or watching a streamer talk about the perks, you decide to run both Pain Res and Grim Embrace in your build. You load into a match and go for every survivor one by one, each one on a scourge hook. You gain/lose your tokens, get your notifications, see your gens block, and it feels really effective despite the fact you're not "playing optimally". Feels great! Then you finally get that fourth hook, get that last 25% taken of the most progressed Gen, get that 40 second Gen Block, and now....you have 2 less perk slots. Neither of these perks will do anything for the rest of the match. At 4 Gens. By using the perks as they are "intended", you now have to play the rest of the game without regression if you didn't build for this eventuality, minus the negligible damage you did to early Progress. You see, although they riff on the design philosophy perfected by the likes of No Way Out and (arguably) Plaything, they make the mistakes of 1. Giving you the reward to early to matter and 2. Effectively punishing you instead of rewarding you once everyone is hooked once. What I can only assume was intended has failed, and a different strategy prevails.
In that spirit, Exhibit B, which is the more common case and the reason these perks are regarded to be as strong as they are. Say you just want to do and use what is considered good by the Meta, instead of gimping yourself with a more elaborate strategy. You pick Pain Res/Grim and tunnel one guy out. You only get 25% (soon 20%) of Gen Regression and a 12 second (soon 10) Gen Block out of it, but what happens then? The survivors are a man down, and you still have 3 Tokens to use to guarantee the win. Why would you play your cards early when rationing them also means you have an easier time overall? You can barely even be blamed for it; it seems to be the most efficient way to use your perks after all.
Before I go further, I wouldn't wanna leave out Exhibit C either, which is the Inverse of B: You get 3 Grim Tokens and only use Pain Res Hooks when you need to, which would be just about as efficient as that second Option, but it has that same problem that it takes more effort than just following a strategy that rewards you more in the long term anyhow. Still, I thought I'd mention that its more diverse than I'm making it out to be, just for the sake of completion.
I personally think that this fact plays into why Perk Variety is so poor these days, specifically for killer. Its a vicious cycle where the perks push you towards tunneling, and tunneling is more rewarding when using the right perks. I'm glad Grim Embrace got a rework at all, but pushing an underpowered perk into such an imperfect meta just doesn't feel right (ahem Buckle Up ahem). BHVR is nerfing the numbers on these perks as well as Pop, but it fails to address the problem at their core and I'd much prefer a larger rework in the future, perhaps even a partial reversion to Pain Res' old iteration. While being similarly unfun to play against (though moreso due to its synergy with DMS, sound familiar?), it at least rewarded all forms of play equally instead of incidentally discouraging particular playstyles that really don't need to be LESS attractive than they already are.

Ive seen alot of this community complain about glitch's, and while I understand that they can be frustrating to deal with at times imma be honest I feel like at this point there just techs and are part of the game. After all there's no new content dice will ever add. Most glitchs add another level of thinking to duels. Of course not all glitch's are created equal though, such as frame traping and unlimited block ankin. (my gamer tag is doaditti btw)

Recently, I had the opportunity to play with preconstructed Level 1 starter decks of the Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG). This experience, while enjoyable, highlighted several fundamental flaws in the game’s design that are somewhat masked by the constructed format but become apparent in starter deck play. Here are the key takeaways from my analysis:
Core Decisions in Pokémon TCG
In the Pokémon TCG, there are three main decisions players need to make:

1. Where to attach the energy for the turn.
2. Which Pokémon to keep in the active position.
3. Which supporter card to use each turn.

A well-designed game ensures that decisions are meaningful dilemmas, offering advantages and disadvantages based on the situation. A good player knows which decision to make in any given scenario. In most well-known TCGs, the primary decision revolves around choosing between attacking the board or the opponent's life.
Comparison with Other TCGs

• Magic: The Gathering: Players decide between protecting their life points or maintaining their board state when blocking.
• Lorcana/Heathstone: Players decide between advancing towards victory by attacking the opponent or focusing on weakening the opponent’s board.

In Pokémon TCG, attacking the opponent’s Pokémon is the sole victory condition. This means there is no real decision between maintaining a strong board or taking prize cards, as both are achieved simultaneously by knocking out opponent’s Pokémon. This doesn’t mean there are no decisions to make, but it signifies a fundamental difference from other TCGs.
The core decision here is whether to maintain a strong bench for security or to invest everything in the active Pokémon. This approach suggests a risk-reward system where putting all energy on the active Pokémon allows for stronger attacks, but losing that Pokémon leaves the player at a significant disadvantage.
Key Issues Identified

1. Energy Attachment and Attacks:
   • Most Pokémon have two attacks: one is often too weak or useless, and the other requires two to three energy cards.
   • This creates a scenario where, once a Pokémon is active, it either needs to be fully charged or becomes essentially useless.
   • Players often race to charge their powerful attack first and then repeatedly use it, leading to a lack of strategic depth and interaction.
2. Reward System:
   • The player who knocks out a Pokémon not only gains a prize card but also forces the opponent to lose energy attachments, putting them at a disadvantage.
   • This system makes comebacks almost impossible, as the player who gets the first knockout usually snowballs to victory.

Impact on Constructed Play
Even in constructed play, except for a few specialized decks (like Gardevoir), most decks struggle with making comebacks. While many decks manage to reset each turn, it is rare for a deck behind in prize cards to successfully recover.
Consequences for Card Design
Many Pokémon cards requiring a lot of energy are unplayable unless there are strong energy acceleration cards available. This leads to an inconsistency where a significant portion of the cards in a set are not viable in competitive play. To address this, each set should include multiple cards or items that enable energy acceleration, providing a more balanced gameplay experience. I'm not talking about one or two cards in the set but more like at least 15 cards at least ?? It’s not logical that an average deck has one or two attackers and one or two support Pokémon, but sets have 80% useless attackers. It should be 50/50.
Starter Decks Reflection
The Level 1 starter decks are constructed like decks from 20 years ago, not adapted to the current meta play style. They should offer a more modern gameplay experience, with ways to accelerate energy and Pokémon capable of attacking quickly. This would make the game more engaging and strategic, even for beginners. (littterally most people who find the game with level 1 starter decks think it's boring )

Speculation: Roaring Kitty was the twitter handle and Youtube profile for Keith Gill where he would speculate on the stock because he just loved doing it. DFV was the reddit handle where he is associated to that other sub i can't mention here but you know where i mean. I think that DFV is saying that what started as a fun speculation of the stock became something bigger than himself with his other channel in DFV on reddit. Now the wheels have moved and in the film it ends with the financial institutions being blown up, perhaps something similar metaphorically is already in place right now. It's actually a great analogy from DFV about his situation.

DFV has changed some of the narrators (Red) words in showcase his story of being wrongly accused in 2021 and having the flee out of the spotlight. He talks about pressure and time, he presents a lot of memes he has created over the years and then shows a particular screenshot of one of his streams.
Speculation: This tells DFVs story but also has some juicy parts. I think Red in this is a bit like the reddit crew (us) keeping tabs on his story but DFV is saying to escape like him it takes pressure and time (could be gamma squeeze, could be LEAPS, could be DRS, could be holding and buying, could be ALL of it) but all it takes is time and pressure. The memes he posted i wonder if some of those have found their way into various subs over the last 3 years without any of us knowing it came from DFV. The steam he screenshot has been spoken about a lot this morning but it seems to come from one of his youtube streams when GME last broke $30.

So I thought I'd write a detailed review below if it is of any use to anyone thinking about joining, as I like many had never hear of BRSK before they knocked on my door. So if you do get a knock on your door from BRSK, you will have some idea what they service is like before making a decision.

1 Month Comprehensive Review - £75 amazon code - EBCA

Here is my review if useful.
Background: • I was with sky broadband for 10+ years - not a fibre line as not available in my area from Sky or any other provider. • The max Sky could give me was only 25 Mbps at a price of £37 pm after the April price rise • Knock on the door 26/03/2024 from BRSK sales rep stating that they will be installing fibre in my area. • No overhead telephone lines in my area as all lines are underground to the property • 05/04/2024 got a message that my area is now 'Live' • Signed up for BRSK on 12/04/24 - at a price of £28 pm for 500 Mbps + £3 pm for the BetterPhone Essential (+£12 one off phone line port fee) • Next day I had an engineer around to check the underground ducts weren't blocked and he was able to clear it without any issues on the day. • 17/04/2024 BRSK was fully installed by the engineer within a couple of hours and to a location I desired.
BRSK Review: • The whole installation process was done perfectly with great customer service by Phil. I was on the phone to him for an hour asking all sorts of questions as I had never heard of BRSK before and he was able to answer some technical questions. • Everything was up and running within a week from initial contact to installation - which was great as I had a week or so left to cancel my Sky broadband contract due to the price rise. Great speedy work for that BRSK! • Service - so far has been amazing, no issues! My devices are connected via WiFi and in the rooms near the router I'm getting 520 Mbps Download and Upload - more than the 500 I'm paying for. • Locations across the house - WiFi speed and strength does cut in half - as to be expected with WiFi - but better than what it was like with the Sky router. So no need for an extender like I needed with Sky. • No downtime so far - constant connection. • Gaming - using my Xbox Series X there was been no issues. Ping has been very stable at around 15-20 ms which is slightly better than I had with sky and much more stable now. No issues with Nat or any sort of jittepacket loss. Download speed of around 200 Mbps on my Xbox due to distance from router. • BetterPhone - porting landline from Sky took 12 days. I also needed to request a RJ11 to BT Adapter plug which took a few days but was provided for free when asked for. Quality - not as great as copper landline I had before but this may be down to the phone I have as 7+ years old, not sure.
Overall everything has been perfect so far with consistent speeds, no downtime and great customer service, all at a price cheaper than Sky and 20x faster. Couldn't be more happy so far! So with that being said I would highly recommend BRSK and what's better is no price rises during the 2 year contract!

Does anybody else think that Tyson fury is looking a bit too thin to fight usyk? If you get me. It looks like he's lost ALOT of weight. His weight is his biggest advantage. If he looses more than he usually does, I think he'll struggle against usyk there's no way he'll outbox him. as he won't have much weight for him to lean on usyk and also unpopular opinion, I do think it's fishy. He wasn't in good shape for the feb 17th usyk fight and now he got "cut" it's given him lots more time to train doesn't it seem strange?

I've recently had BRSK installed and I know they are increasing their coverage in Stockport and other locations such as Birmingham on a daily basis. So I thought I'd write a detailed review below if it is of any use to anyone thinking about joining, as I like many had never hear of BRSK before they knocked on my door.

1 Month Comprehensive Review - £75 amazon code - EBCA

Here is my review if useful.
Background: • I was with sky broadband for 10+ years - not a fibre line as not available in my area from Sky or any other provider. • The max Sky could give me was only 25 Mbps at a price of £37 pm after the April price rise • Knock on the door 26/03/2024 from BRSK sales rep stating that they will be installing fibre in my area. • No overhead telephone lines in my area as all lines are underground to the property • 05/04/2024 got a message that my area is now 'Live' • Signed up for BRSK on 12/04/24 - at a price of £28 pm for 500 Mbps + £3 pm for the BetterPhone Essential (+£12 one off phone line port fee) • Next day I had an engineer around to check the underground ducts weren't blocked and he was able to clear it without any issues on the day. • 17/04/2024 BRSK was fully installed by the engineer within a couple of hours and to a location I desired.
BRSK Review: • The whole installation process was done perfectly with great customer service by Phil. I was on the phone to him for an hour asking all sorts of questions as I had never heard of BRSK before and he was able to answer some technical questions. • Everything was up and running within a week from initial contact to installation - which was great as I had a week or so left to cancel my Sky broadband contract due to the price rise. Great speedy work for that BRSK! • Service - so far has been amazing, no issues! My devices are connected via WiFi and in the rooms near the router I'm getting 520 Mbps Download and Upload - more than the 500 I'm paying for. • Locations across the house - WiFi speed and strength does cut in half - as to be expected with WiFi - but better than what it was like with the Sky router. So no need for an extender like I needed with Sky. • No downtime so far - constant connection. • Gaming - using my Xbox Series X there was been no issues. Ping has been very stable at around 15-20 ms which is slightly better than I had with sky and much more stable now. No issues with Nat or any sort of jittepacket loss. Download speed of around 200 Mbps on my Xbox due to distance from router. • BetterPhone - porting landline from Sky took 12 days. I also needed to request a RJ11 to BT Adapter plug which took a few days but was provided for free when asked for. Quality - not as great as copper landline I had before but this may be down to the phone I have as 7+ years old, not sure.
Overall everything has been perfect so far with consistent speeds, no downtime and great customer service, all at a price cheaper than Sky and 20x faster. Couldn't be more happy so far! So with that being said I would highly recommend BRSK and what's better is no price rises during the 2 year contract!

Good Afternoon redditor, this would be my first ever post after listen to multiple reddit story podcasts.
I mainly want to figure out where went wrong as I’m super confused and hurt at the moment I don’t even know how to process my emotion. I will try to be as factual as I possibly can.
This is going to be a long post, so apologize in advance.
So my girlfriend (F24) and I (M28) has known each other for 12 years and dated as long distance online couple for half of the time and have broken up twice. 2 Years ago we communicated again and decided to give this another try. We had a very good game plan and she moved all the way to my country to stay with me June of last year. We had a quite good and lovely time as I thought, and I tried to provide all the necessary support I could think of.
Little over two months ago, I had an opportunity to move to an very rural small town 5 hour away from home to become an apprentice in a very competitive field. I value this opportunity but was very reluctant to accept based on how far away it is. My girlfriend is the one encouraged me and saying it will be a great opportunity for improvement, and I thought that is very true, it will give us great future together, so I accepted the job.

Few weeks ago, I got noticed that she meets a new friend at some sort of gathering, because there is only 2 other young people there, their become friends and she asked me if it’s okay to pick up this new male friend for shopping. Of cuz I didn’t think of anything and thought she is just providing me with closure, and I said yes.
Everything changed on the Thursday night, Generally speaking we withhold out video chat to until she is finished with her study and homework because I know how difficult a student trying to rush DUE feel like. She finished all her work on Wednesday so I thought Thursday would be our chance to catch up, so I was very excited. Turns out she had other plans without telling me. She went groceries shopping with the guy, (this is when I know their had plan to do weekly groceries trips as she have a car and the guy didn’t). Followed by staying over at the guys house until 9PM, (I finish work at 5PM, but I work early so I have to get to bed at 10PM), We had an extremely quick video chat followed by her wanting to end the chat due to forgot to buy toothpaste, this got me very disappointed so I pushed and asked you know I been waiting for a video chat for a week, and yet you prioritized him over me and weekly groceries shopping is not something you do with a guy friend, but rather someone really close. She just said, “well, is already planned.“
This entire conversation and event of what happened without me knowing got me really upset, especially I been asking before hand for the Video chat after she finish her DUE.
She than replied back to me saying she believe everyone is an individual, than is couple and family, she deems individual growth, friendship over the need of the couple. Therefore I should not butt in with what she is doing and chill. My upset and insecurity is none of her concern.
Literally the next day on the Friday after we had out fight, she went over to the guy’s house again while I was out doing Friday night shopping as I have Overtime lined up for Saturday and won’t have anytime to do shopping in my small town. While I was shopping she didn’t reply back to any of my text message, so I had a look on the iphone find my app and noticed she is at the guy’s house so I facetimed her and asking where is she and why is she not answering my calls. She picked up after a few tries and shown me a dark backyard as it was last at night. She said she just dropped off a friend (Not telling me who) and is heading home soon. She than hanged up on me, I just texted, when she gets home give me a call, I will be driving but can pick up the phone.
Not only did she not call me afterwards, she stayed at the guys place until 9PM again. With me fuming and angry thinking how could she do this. Meanwhile our dog is going berserk in the security camera as no one is home, because our dog always get jumpy after dark and we always try to have someone at home normally. I texted her during the silent saying the dog is going off really badly, can you go check on them. Not until 9PM when she left the guys house she texted me saying,” I’m so tired, the dog always bark like that after dark.” I’m so angry at this point I cant think straight so I choose silents.
At this point I know something is off, something is definitely not good, so on Saturday afternoon after I got off work we talked. She said she is so tired of compensating for me. I make her feel so tried, insecurity is my issue not hers. She won’t care if I go out with another girl and go over to her house for visit.

This got me extremely upset and ended it on a bad note. On Monday, While I was at work, she went over to the guys house again, (I noticed during my lunch break her car was parked at the guys house again) So I called her saying what is she doing, we are currently fighting due to the guy and you still want to go over there. She replied with I didn’t go, I was only dropping those two to school today and I didn’t go. Followed by leaving the house at 4PM and did not return until 9PM, at this point she took me off all location tracking app. (The location tracking was for both of us, we had the agreement to turn it on as I was in such long distance and sometime driving hours to go home I can’t pick up the phone, so we can track each other when we become unreachable).
When she turned at night, we had our last phone call, she decides to break up with me. I got Tuesday and Wednesday off to confront her why. We talked and she emitted that she has been talking non-stop with the guy about how much of a bad boyfriend I am, How dare I confront her for her personal friendship choice. How everything I have done in the past is just what a guy friend would do, nothing special and won’t make me a good boyfriend. I knew there must be more to what she has emitted by at this point im too tired and hurt to push on. So I agreed to the break up.
I really want to ask you guys, what have I done wrong. How can the relationship end simply within 5 days.

This won't be an audio review. I'm no audiophile so this is an amateur review from a gaming perspective.
I am using the M4 connected to my PC using the Avantree DG60P (bluetooth) and it works beautifully. The delay is about 60ms and to a professional gamer that is a big deal but for casuals like myself it is unnoticable. I play competitive shooters as well and I do not notice a difference comparing the M4 to my old wired headset in terms of delay. This makes the M4 a great headset for combined gaming, study, commuting etc.
The audio quality is great for music and gaming. you can hear where people's footsteps and gunshots are coming from clearly.
Its very comfortable, I can wear it for hours on end without pains, and my ears fit inside the cups without touching anything. My ears usually hurt to most headphones but the M4's are great!
The touch controls are fine, volume adjusting is not the best but thats just being nitpicky. Build quality of the headphones feel sturdy and high quality. The fabric headband feels premium and is a nice touch.
ANC is really good, probably not the best out there but its good enough to block out my girlfriend gaming next to me while I study lol
Only main problem is the microphone. Using it will make the headset go into call mode and halve the audio quality. You will need to buy a separate mic to plug into your computer (mixed opinions online about plugging into headset itself, still looking into it)
Money saving tips: - Buy refurbished from sennheiser official, you save SO MUCH money and it is brand new. Mine still had the sticky plastic on the headphones. - There is currently a Honey Gold offer for these headphones, I managed to snag £40 worth of amazon vouchers in cash back (I'm in UK)

hey. so, this is gonna be a long one. im 14 and my girlfriend is 13, we met online around february, we lived across the country. i was in a bad state, like, i had no friends and bad history of s/h and no one to really support me and she was there, she also had this. it was cool because we confided with one another:) i knew her sisters, her parents, like it was so cool. we called and played games and really talked for hours, like, i loved her so much. we progressed to deeper sxual kind of talk but nothing really happened, but, we planned for the future so much, we had plans to meet and everything. i loved her and she stopped me from jumping off my balcony. i don’t really know how to explain it but this was love, really, not some stupid childhood ones where we think we are loving and dating, this was something serious that made us actually feel something, we talked like actually every day for at least 5 hours. we discussed so much personal stuff like its so fucking crazy we can’t ever talk again this shit is so fucked up.

she was abused, like mentally and physically. she planned to runaway but never did. come to this week, she runs away to the police station. (context, she has a secret phone she uses to talk to me as her parents are strict) she told them and im sorry im gonna probably cut the story short cuz im getting emotional haha but they didnt take her seriously, her mom found out about the phone, and she basically just got really fucked up. so, she texts me today on her school laptop, saying it would be better if we broke up. i expected this and its really mind shattering. like, there’s really no one stopping me from doing anything to myself because my life feels so fucking abnormal and i can’t imagine her with another guy and it hurts so much and i can’t do this shit anymore and we really had so much we did so much like stupid tier lists about our favourite shit and just really discussed anything yk? our favourite music books shows everything and i just fucking hate this world bro it fucks everything up when its perfect. i don’t know what to do. and im scared honestly. still unpopular at school but at least i had her, right? now i don’t have her, right? im never gonna have a connection that good again, she was my soulmate and the prettiest girl in the world. loyal as fuck. funny as fuck, perfect humor. like i sometimes just sat down and thought about how perfect it was. i guess ill end it here, dont know why im posting this, it was originally for advice but i don’t know anymore, man

my (21f) bf (19m) stays up extremely late to play roblox games with an online friend…i’m talking like two in the morning late. last night i told him i was going to sleep, i waited for a reply for 10 minutes, didn’t get a reply so i just went to sleep. this morning i wake up to an array of angry text messages sent by him over an hour after i went to sleep. he was offended that i went to sleep already
also just in general when we are on call i hear discord notifications every few seconds and he’s constantly typing away to this guy (or girl?). he doesn’t know anything about this person like age or gender. he hasn’t been talking to me much he mostly just talks to this person at night
i brought it up a couple hours ago and he completely exploded and got extremely defensive, he’s not willing to compromise at all because im “controlling” otherwise. he also said he’s not gonna talk to me today because i pissed him off and that he’s gonna make sure to give this other person extra attention
i get that everyone will ask me to break up with him, but id like to know what i can say to help this situation? i’m disgusted by the way he reacted and its made me really uncomfortable
