Got notified my zep was ready at Walmart, insurance coveres it and with the coupon I pay $24.99 now. The tech tells me my copay is $213 so I give the coupon…..she then says it went up to $500??? I have moved to Pennsylvania last year and the only option was Comcast and so I decided to do the 400 Mbps play for only $35 which is really really good. The price is good and my internet speed is good, but the speed can fluctuate and go up and down. The only thing about Comcast is that they do snoop on your internet so you HAVE TO use a VPN. It's an absolute must.
So, earlier this week I was doing speed tests and all my devices got 80 Mbps (when I am paying for 400 Mbps mind you). I did some research and found that rebooting your router can actually refresh everything and bring the speed back. I have an $80 TP Link AC router which I am very satisfied with. When I rebooted/refreshed my router, the speeds I paid for came back. Then a couple hours later, I did a speed test on my laptop and I got 80 Mbps again and on my iPhone the 400 Mbps speed still remained the same. I run all of my tests without the VPN and with the VPN mind you, I get the same speeds whether I am using my VPN or not. I have Nord VPN and I have been very satisfied with it.
Anyway, the next day I did the speed tests again and all my devices were over 400 Mbps second. I then checked my email and Comcast said they gave me more speed as a courtesy. I am sorry for rambling here, but what the hell is going on ? I'm not complaining, but I don't know how this working. Why would some devices get low speeds sometimes and then the next day ALL devices get fast speeds ? Why did they give me faster speed after I rebooted my router ? Has anyone else had this happen to them ? I'm just curious about what the hell is going on.
