2024.05.15 08:55 Competitive_Pitch168 It gets better

I’ve had derealization since 2021. I was a 12 in 6th grade and I wanted to hangout with older kids which was a bad idea. We smoked weed and it sent me down hill up until now. I’m 14 now and I still get it sometimes but it’s not as bad as it was.
It really does get better and you learn to manage it and find the triggers and causes. I was scared to touch weed for around a year due to this but I did end up doing it again and it wasn’t bad. The reason your body does this is because it’s trying to protect you from high levels of paranoia/anxiety and I’d say it’s kinda cool the brain does that. I’ve lived with it for about three years and i’m not scared of it anymore and neither should anyone else. I get how hard it can be, how you can feel unreal and like your dreaming but like i said before you learn to manage it and find triggers and causes. Last time I was on this subreddit I read this persons post about how they’ve been in a state of derealization for around 7-9years and they said with time you learn to manage it and it gets easier. In my case it goes away and comes back sometimes but I know that it’ll be okay and it took me a long time to come to that understanding. It’ll take time for a lot of people to understand that but it’s seriously is possible and you can and will work through it. There’s no way out of it you can only go through. I’m writing this because I got another little episode of derealization and depersonalization and I just told myself that i’m gonna be okay. Which is true you’re gonna be okay. I just wanted to share this in hopes it may help someone <33 feel free to ask questions etc.
(i am aware of what drug use does to the brain at a young age. I was dumb and I understand that and I live with the consequences now, so don’t lecture me)

What is the Whig party? The Whig Party was a political party in the United States that existed from the early 1830s to the mid-1850s.
Here are some key points about the Whig Party: Origins: The Whig Party emerged in the 1830s as a coalition of various anti-Jacksonian factions. They opposed the policies of Democratic President Andrew Jackson, particularly his expansion of executive power and his handling of the Bank of the United States. Beliefs: The Whigs supported a strong federal government, internal improvements such as infrastructure projects, a national banking system, and protective tariffs to promote industry. Leadership: Prominent Whig leaders included Henry Clay, Daniel Webster, and William Henry Harrison. Presidential Success: Four Whig presidents served in office: William Henry Harrison, John Tyler, Zachary Taylor, and Millard Fillmore. Decline: The party began to splinter over issues such as slavery, the Mexican-American War, and the Compromise of 1850. The rise of the anti-slavery Republican Party and internal divisions led to the decline of the Whig Party. Legacy: While the Whig Party itself dissolved in the 1850s, many former Whigs joined the Republican Party or other political movements. The Whigs left a legacy of advocating for economic development and opposition to executive overreach.
Explain the Democratic-Republican Party The Democratic-Republican Party was one of the first political parties in the United States. Here are some key points about the Democratic-Republican Party: Founding: The party was founded by Thomas Jefferson and James Madison in the early 1790s in opposition to the Federalist Party led by Alexander Hamilton. Beliefs: The Democratic-Republicans favored a limited federal government, states' rights, agrarian interests, and a strict interpretation of the Constitution. They were critical of a strong central government and favored an agrarian society of small farmers. Leadership: Thomas Jefferson and James Madison were key figures in the party. Jefferson served as the third President of the United States from 1801 to 1809, and Madison succeeded him as the fourth President from 1809 to 1817. Opposition: The Democratic-Republicans opposed the Federalist Party's policies, including the Alien and Sedition Acts and a national bank. They supported the principles of the French Revolution and favored closer ties with France rather than Britain. Achievements: The Democratic-Republicans were responsible for the Louisiana Purchase in 1803, which doubled the size of the United States. They also oversaw the abolition of the national debt during Jefferson's presidency. Transformation: Over time, the Democratic-Republican Party split into factions, with some members eventually forming the Democratic Party, while others joined the Whig Party. The Democratic Party that emerged retained some of the principles of the Democratic-Republican Party. The Democratic-Republican Party played a significant role in shaping early American politics and government, advocating for a decentralized system and agrarian interests.
Explain the federalist party The Federalist Party was one of the first political parties in the United States. Here are some key points about the Federalist Party: Founding: The Federalist Party was founded in the 1790s by Alexander Hamilton, John Adams, and others who supported a strong central government and a loose interpretation of the Constitution. Beliefs: The Federalists believed in a strong federal government, a national bank, protective tariffs, and close ties with Britain. They favored an industrial and commercial economy over an agrarian one. Leadership: Alexander Hamilton was a key leader of the Federalist Party, along with John Adams, who became the second President of the United States from 1797 to 1801. Policies: The Federalists supported the Alien and Sedition Acts, which restricted immigration and free speech, and they favored a pro-British foreign policy. They were often at odds with the Democratic-Republicans led by Thomas Jefferson. Opposition: The Democratic-Republican Party emerged as the main opposition to the Federalists, criticizing their policies as favoring the wealthy and infringing on states' rights. Decline: The Federalist Party declined after the War of 1812, as their opposition to the war hurt their popularity. The party eventually dissolved in the 1820s, leaving the Democratic-Republicans as the dominant political force. The Federalist Party played a significant role in shaping early American politics, advocating for a strong central government and policies that favored commerce and industry.

2024.05.15 08:50 McHashmap Making Up For Limited Research Experience

I am in biosciences and would like to aim for a good program in my field, although I do not know if it is even possible for me at this point. My undergrad major was BME and I ended up with a GPA of a high 3.6, but I basically had no research experience. My first two summers I was focused on industry. During my school semesters I tried to work under various PIs, but all my projects never went anywhere and petered out, to the point I do not list them on my resume. I specialize in dry lab and a lot of the time I was just not assigned any work. Without any meaningful supervision from my PIs it was easy for my self-guided research work to become second priority due to pressure from courses.
Regardless, I currently only have one significant research experience, which was during my junior year summer. I think I will eventually get a middle author publication from that work. I’m currently enrolled in an 18-month MS program with a significant thesis component, and I plan to do as much research as possible during that time. Still, I am worried it will not be enough. I’m wondering what my long term plan should be at this point. Should I aim for lower-tier PhD schools? Should I plan to do lab work after MS and then apply to PhD? Could I salvage my application with a good MS thesis? Is PhD not in the cards and should I am for industry?

2024.05.15 08:49 Resident_Bison_3816 PLEASE TELL ME THE NAME OF THIS ANIME

It was about 12 years ago when I watched it. It was on YouTube but I can’t remember the name. All I can remember is it was about the super pretty girl in high school who was cursed to believe she was a boy when she was younger. Eventually she found out she was actually never a boy. She also had this guy that was madly in love with her but she kept rejecting him due to her believing she was a guy. She got with him at the end. I think her school outfit was yellow and her hair was yellowish with a little bit of greenish.

2024.05.15 08:49 Global-Change606 Used to be one of my favorite wardrobe staples but sadly it has come to an end.

I was a huge supporter of Chubbies going back to around 2015 and they became my favorite shorts brand. I discovered them through Nordstrom and after receiving the first pair, I quickly ordered all the other colors they sold as well. They became the only shorts I'd wear and this is still true to this day. Their "Original Stretch Short" in 5.5" was the one I'd gravitated towards. After realizing they had a website and at times offered a minor discount and had occasional sales, I started ordering from them directly.
What I immediately loved was the length, as I never was able to find short of similar length that were flattering and so easily wearable. They were a good quality short made of durable material with the kind of minor details that really displayed the thoughtfulness of the company. These kind of things showed that whoever ran the company or created the shorts really loved and believed in their product. I went on to buy the original stretch shorts in every color available.
After they sold the company, in 2001 I believe it was because that's when some of the minor details of the shorts started to disappear. Some of the most notable changes were the text inside of the fly next to the zipper and the material used for the pocket linings had been changed. This was probably in order to save money or time on manufacturing. However, the core elements of the shorts including the durable material, the quality of the manufacturing and the apperance of the final product, remained otherwise mainly intact. They still seemed to be a worthy product.
Now let's jump to the second half of this past year. I ordered four pairs of shorts and a variety of colors that hadn't been available before or that I just hadn't previously ordered. Due to owning so many pairs of the same shorts in such a variety of colors and their amazing quality and durability, I hadn't even opened any of the packages for the last shorts that I ordered until this past week. After opening the bag with the first pair, they seemed different. I don't know if it was the fact that the weight was off or that they had a weird gleam to the fabric but I immediately sensed that something wasn't right. Once I put them on I could notice that they didn't fall the same as the other shorts and they didn't have the same weight and they just felt like a completely different pair of shorts.
So my friend and I decided to open the bags of the remaining shorts and see if these were the same or if it was just this one particular color that maybe used a different material. We concluded that all four pairs of shorts were now using a new material unused in any of the previous shorts that I had purchased. This material is extremely thinner and has a weird coating on the fabric, that gives it a sort of shimmer. Material is not only cheaper but the quality of the sewing and the stitching is abysmal. The hemming is completely different then the original manufacturing of the shorts as well as the subsequent manufacturing of the shorts that featured less details. Shortcuts in the hemming of the shorts were one thing but that's not even taking into account that the stitching is completely uneven and even frayed and loose in some spots. This was how they came directly out of the bag, never having been worn or touched by anyone previously but the stitching and hemming was already loose or coming undone. Quite possibly we thought this was only the one pair of shorts so we checked the three other pairs from the same order and come to find out that these also have shoddy stitching and lazy him work and were already coming undone at certain points mainly in the hems of the legs and around the waist.
This was highly disappointing to me as I realized that I no longer had a go-to shorts brand and would have to eventually find something else once all the original pairs of shorts that I'd purchased will someday be unwearable due to normal clothing lifespan running it's course. I highly doubt that the company will go back to making a more costly product or one of the quality of their original shorts. It's sad that they cheapened everything about the item yet remain priced the same and higher for other products. I haven't bought many of their other clothing, such as shirts or slacks but after seeing what's become of an item I once really adored, I'm glad I never wasted money on branching out to their other items. I still own over 35 pairs of their higher quality releases and I'm sure it'll take me time to actually wear any of them out but I feel bad for the people now finding this company, and it's a pale, diluted version of what it once was.
As I stated before when I made the order of last year, I hadn't ordered in quite some time I'm not sure really how long it was, so I can't stay the date of when the products certainly transitioned into what it is now. I only know that the order I placed last year that I just recently opened was not the quality of anything that I received previously. It was also the unfortunate sign that I would no longer be shopping with this brand or recommending its products to anyone any longer. The drop in quality was just that vast, so far removed from what they originally had offered. I don't believe now that the shorts should be sold more than $15 a pair and they're probably honestly worth far less than that to manufacture in their current iteration. It's crazy to think that over the years I've spent more than $2,000 on a single product but that's how much I loved them. Just think about how much money I would have spent in the subsequent years replacing and buying the shorts in a variety of new colors released. Sadly, that will no longer be a part of my future fashion endeavors.
I'm a big believer and supporter of brand loyalty, which is exactly why I've bought so many pairs previously but when a brand veers this far off course it has to be recognized and shared with the community who may be thinking they're buying a worthy product. It's almost as if all the praise for the original product has been used and squandered in order to confuse the consumer, like a bait and switch maneuver, and now sell them this cheaper imitation of what it once was. Although I have more than enough pairs to probably wear them for the next decade, I can't get over the betrayal of the drop in quality without a change of pricing to reflect the lower quality material and the completely shoddy manufacturing.
When Chubbies came to be, they brought with them one product that they made unique again using a style of many years past, something that had long been forgotten in men's fashion. Something that was apparently missed by people or at least wanted by those who came of age after the style of shorts had long been enlongated. At that time there weren't many other brands making a stylish and durable pair of short shorts for men. However I have noticed after the success of Chubbies, both mass produced and high end designer brands now occasionally offer shorts of similar length. I cannot vouch for any of their quality or design attributes as I've been so dedicated to chubby's for these past years but I am aware of other brands now offering their take on men's shorter length shorts. If any of the brands are of good quality regularly, I would imagine that these shorts that they've released would be generally the same. So if you're looking for good quality shorter shorts for men I would check with other brands that you have known and trust their integrity of producing a high quality product that doesn't have to cut so many corners and in turn, destroying the legacy of what was once their reason for existing.

2024.05.15 08:47 lizzy_pop One of 4 tenants (on one lease) gave notice, but the other 3 don’t want to leave

I rent out a 2 bedroom apartment. The tenants are 2 couples and I guess one of them broke up. 1 of the 4 people gave me written notice that he is leaving.
I prefer to have all of them leave and get someone else in there. They have been very high maintenance and I would rather not continue with them.
I told them that if one person on a lease gives notice, that ends the lease for everyone. They don’t believe me and are saying they won’t leave.
What’s the process when this happens? Do I need to give them something in writing or do I wait until they overstay the notice period and file to have them evicted?
For some context: they broke all of the blinds in the apartment. One at a time. In the exact same way. After I explained how to use them over and over again. They keep hanging clothing on the shower curtain rods and then asking me to re-install the rods each time. They keep dropping spoons into the garbage disposal and can’t figure out how to press the reset button even though I’ve shown them half a dozen times. They won’t use the bathroom fans and complain about it being steamy. There’s some damage due to the humidity already. They asked me to get a better washer (the one that’s in there was brand new when they moved in and of high quality) because they don’t like that the one there is front loading. The balcony gets dusty quickly and they wanted to know if I could fix it.

2024.05.15 08:47 Tortastrophe Almost did myself in by forgetting that meat disappears from rock caches.

Playing on Interloper, just passed Day 70. I'm trying to get the Tales done for the first time so I'm planning to start Signal Void. Off I go from Mystery Lake to Forsaken Airfield. I get out there, get the walkie, start the quest up. I have enough food on me to get back, around 40 cat-tails at this point. It's blizzarding in FA so I don't hunt there. I decide to head back on the first clear day. In hindsight, I should have hunted.
Anyway, the trip back is not really eventful but I am not doing a good enough job of keeping my condition up. I am definitely pushing too hard to get back to ML faster. Thinking about it now, I don't even know why I was in such a big hurry. I pushed all the way through Broken Railroad (which I have not looted yet) and things are not going too bad, but the Muskeg is windy as heck and my condition drops below 10%. I have to use a stim to get to the derailed train so I can warm up and recover a bit. I use my last birch bark tea and rest a few hours with the fire burning. I wake up, make a couple of coffees and head off to Camp Office in ML. But it's still pretty dang cold (despite me being at +23 gear). My condition slips back below 10% and now I've got a wolf trailing me. I'm not worried about the wolf really but my condition being so low definitely had me focusing on pushing back to camp office. I get back and at this point I have a couple of cat tails left but no other food. The only food in Camp Office is a couple of ruined dog foods, and I don't want to roll the dice with food poisoning when I'm already under 10%.
So I reluctantly decide that I will eat a piece of bear meat. I am about halfway to Cooking 5 at this point so I still have to be mindful even with cooked food. Surely the 1% intestinal parasites won't get me. Well... turns out I didn't have to worry about the parasites. The 30 KG of bear I left in the rock cache outside Camp Office has of course, disappeared because it dropped to 0 condition. Whoops. This is even funnier to me because I almost never bother with a rock cache for anything. I'll just leave the stack of meat in the snow. And this is why! So... I have no choice, gotta try the Dog Food. I manage to get food poisoning from BOTH cans. Luckily I have medical supplies so I take a reishi tea and then sleep. Get up after my needed 10 hours and obviously mission 1 is food. But my condition is still hovering around 10%.
It's not storming out, but there's no deer about, no ptarmigans nearby. I decide my best bet is my two fishing tip-ups in the nearby fishing huts. I take my coal and some sticks out there. I check the first hut and... line breaks. Well, okay. Check the second hut... at this point it is getting dark, so I am pretty sure I am spending the night in this hut and I need to get lucky here. Thankfully, this line does not break. I catch a big fish, one I've never seen before (the high-level tackles can give you different fish) worth almost 2000 calories. So obviously I cook it up. At that point there's no way I'm chancing a return trip across the lake, since I have enough coal to get through the night. I keep fishing and thankfully this line manages to net me a few more fish before it snaps. By then it's time to sleep anyway. I trek back to Camp Office the next morning with about 1400 calories of fish to get me to my next destination. I stopped there, and have not yet decided my next destination. I might try to hunt the deer near the dam or in Ravine, since my condition is still low and I don't want to continue with the Lost Signal quest until I'm healthier.
So yeah anyway if you read all that, congrats you are also a Long Dark addict like myself. A bit of a harrowing tale, but also I feel like it's not very uncommon for any of us that play. Most of my deaths in this game are user error leading to bad luck, or vice versa. In this instance I made one questionable choice (leaving FA) and that fed into another (passing through BR rather than stopping) which led me to bad choices (how to feed myself back in ML because my bear meat is gone). As I am reminded every time I travel there, it's called "The FAR territory" for a reason. In the end I was lucky enough to survive so... we'll see how I screw it up next.
TLDR: Return from a long excursion almost dead, 30 KG of bear meat decayed and vanished in a rock cache. Horror, chaos, etc.

2024.05.15 08:47 CombustionEngine World war 2 airshow binocular suggestions? Handheld viewing

Relatively low altitude aircraft. Was looking for a pair maybe two pairs. We would be standing not sitting. Completely handheld. Would a 10x42 be too high mag for handheld? Budget is probably like $100-120 top end. Not much I know. I know Celestron NATURE DX ED 10X42MM are very nice and $170. Just not sure what else I'd use them for regularly.

2024.05.15 08:46 suroorshiv Had an intervention with my cheating wife and her sisters. I decided to bring my sister. But they kept telling me to forgive and forget for the sake of kids and not delve in past and look ahead

So I had previously written on how my wife emotionally abused me over my porn addiction and sexting before marriage to get what she wanted and then use my past and childhood trauma against me .
https://www.reddit.com/AsOneAfterInfidelity/comments/1cnqcox/im_not_angry_my_wife_was_involved_in_emotional/
Then her sister intevened and then we decided to move ahead . It was good for 2 weeks but then I asked him how she is going to close with AP. She said she will tell him directly but then they were going to office at different times but could not meet .
So I told her to call him in front of me and close it . She she did this .
She called and said to him to stop chatting as her husband saw the chats and he said I'm sorry I only talked like a friend etc.
I got pissed and we had another fight . This time she was angry why I'm pissed even though she ended it . I said she didn't end with telling him what he did instead made me look like a suspicious husband.
I said she would rather be polite with a guy who almost ended her marriage and can even end even now. But she said again
" Look i didn't have sex with him"
Don't make it look like an ievement, you are just months or weeks away from that .
I said " tell that your husband didn't get any evidence of you indulging in physical affair "
And brought up a trip .
Context: Around 8 months ago , she asked if she can go to a colleague wedding in another city and I agreed. But apparently she wasn't happy with the way I nodded.
I called the day she reached and she said she is in a resort. I got pissed, she has gone with 3 male and one female colleague to resort a day before marriage and did rafting , sailing etc.
When she came back and I asked her why she didn't tell, she said i never asked about it so she never told and her mom and sisters know about it .
This caused a huge fight over permission but I never suspected her of cheating but rather not asking me before she went .
I said I don't have evidence of what you did at that resort and it's human nature to protect their friends so I won't even ask them ass they will cover for you .
I know there is a high chance she didn't but I wanted to hurt her for the hurt she caused.
This causes even more issues and we had an intervention. I thought this is becoming one sided so I told this time my sister will do it . But she still brought their sister to her house .
Initially while we started talking, her other sister said to my sister " actually it's not even cheating at all" . I got pissed and it set the tone.
Unlike last time, this time her sisters kept pitching in and tempers were raising.
Also I had told my wife to stay away from priya who was the other married woman in that trip and she has deleted their chats the next day . I asked her to get it from Priya and she says Priya accidentally deleted it .
This made me angry and i said you are a whore who definitely had sex in that trip and some other bad words .
My sister and later POS brother in law(my sister's husband) kept telling me , look what happened, happened.
Think about the kids, I'm a teacher and i know how tough it is for single parent child in a country.
I said that they are not understanding that I forgave her once but her follow up action made me more angry and suspicious.
Then my pos brother-in-law started shouting that I'm a person who repeat same thing, living in past, keeps interrupting , why did I have kids when I leave like a coward etc
Why don't I sacrifice for my kids etc , thinking selfish etc .it almost led me to a shouting match and he challenged me for fist fight thinking I was just 14 when he married my sis even though he is 5'7 and I'm 5'11" .
Finally they all made me commit to counseling and then take a decision.
Now she and her sisters have made me look like a fool in front of my dysfunctional family which was the root cause for my depression in first place.
I just need a virtual hug from you because I feel that I've noone to talk to . Counselor always politically correct instead of telling someone what they feel like.
I'm so down. There is not a single person who can understand what I feel like . Everyone is talking of saving marriage but not about saving my soul which she crushed and then cheated me

2024.05.15 08:44 ucme316 Car closest to my Ford Figo Aspire

What I love - Handling - Fun to drive, rev noise, engine - Feels like a solid body - Safety (it had a 3 rating) but felt real safe especially post those minomajor accidents - Relatively low maintenance for the 120K so far
Wary about - Bottom get scraped on ungodly speed breakers and bridges on highways sometimes when at 70-80 (this might not exactly be bottom but it's a troubling noise) - Suspension in potholes not agreeable with passengers (I feel that more comfortable suspensions may lose the drive feel idk) - Less boot space sometimes, not too big a deal - On bad roads does feel like a struggle
New car preference - Love a sedan, not sure it'll help me overcome my woes mentioned above - Open to other body types - Want a similar driving experience but it's a want not a need - Safety - Don't care about features, will install a parking camera and dash cam. I'm sure it'll have Bluetooth and 3 AC types lol - 10-18 lacs budget, lower the better, have other plans for my money - Currently in Chandigarh, will move to Hyderabad/Gurgaon for a few years in 2024 then let's see - A reliavle automatic is a want but I am okay with a manual too, like my cars to be fun - Good AC, love my car takes less than a minute to be comfortable after being in sun all day, also a want
Cars in mind - Open to other suggestions - City, Slavia, Virtus, Amaze? (May feel like a downgrade) - Seltos, Kushaq, Taigun, Elevate, (not sure about those Maruti-Toyota partnership cars, else urban cruiser) - CSUVs like Sonet I can compromise to if they check more boxes, are certainly cheaper

2024.05.15 08:43 Artikulate92 Is whatnot real? Are people really paying more than market value for cards and why?

I’ve been watching a few streams of sudden death auctions and when I price check every card they seem to ALL be selling for like 120%-150% comps, one the streams was even very high end cards selling for $1000+.. how is this happening and do the sales really go through? Can the buyer just look at comps and then reject paying after winning? I’m just a bit flabbergasted by what I’m seeing on there.

2024.05.15 08:42 Character-Extreme401 Weird order

Weird order
Got one high pay order (8 dollars for 2 miles)around 10:30 PM. Pick up at Jack in the box. I went to the drive thru. But their staff checked my phone and asked me to confirm pick up. Then I think it probably like some restaurant will request you to confirm pick up first then hand the food to you. I undoubtedly confirmed pick up. After 1 mins they told me they didn’t get this order. And another staff working in drive thru checked the order details and told me the same thing. I pulled my car to the parking lot and contacted DoorDash support. The agent contacted the merchant and got the same answer what The Jack in the box didn’t get the order on their end. So the agent helped me to cancelled the order. The weird story came few minutes after the order being cancelled. I got a call from the customer. He told me he called the Jack in the box. But the staff said they already handed the order to me. And he insisted that I am stole his food. I explained to him what had happened on this order and what the agents told me. And suggested him to contact DoorDash support. Then he hanged up the call. Just curious how this could happen. doordash said Jack in the box request dasher to deliver the order But the store didn't have the order.

2024.05.15 08:41 Ravens_Quote The Hangknell Leper- Chpt. 1 (might write more, idk, depends on feedback)

To live in the Undead Burg is a daily test of one’s wit and their will. The brutish and dull fall to the cunning, and the weak intellectual tears their own mind asunder. For those who escape the Asylum, it is sometimes enough to make one consider voyaging back to their cell.
After all, only a few are Chosen.
In the lower levels of the Undead Burg, a cloak of rat skin fluttered behind a walking corpse as they hurriedly turned the corner of a short length of stone stairs, slamming the shield of a hollow soldier against the ground just as the claws and fangs of the first hound rose to meet it. In truth he lacked the strength to properly defend himself with the thing, to raise it with only one arm and withstand a blow with the same, but it didn’t matter here. The lower corner of the shield lay braced against the bottommost of a length of stone steps. This, with his shoulder pressed against the shield’s top, made progress against him nearly impossible for a foe so light as this.
If idiocy was to lose one’s common sense, then it couldn’t account for the stupidity of an undead hound. The corpse raised a spear over the shield and swung it downward in a pathetic arc, the wood slapping against the metal with hardly a noise to report. Seeing the motion, the dog leapt sideways out of some horribly trained reflex, and in this manner crashed into large pile of eternally burning corpses. It yelped as the heat caught it, spasmed as it searched for purchase amidst the mass of charred bones and melted flesh, and promptly died. The commotion brought with it the sound of distant footsteps, and soon another beast had run headlong into the shield. This one took two similar “attacks” of the spear to repeat its fellow’s mistake, and the one after it four.
To think he had once been terrified of these things, and discovered his tactic in panic.
Beside the steps was a well, and (after a moment to ensure no further dogs were coming), it was this against which the corpse laid his heavy shield. The next test between him and his goal would require agility, something ill-afforded with such heavy hardware. For this, he turned his attention to the well’s crank, and set thereafter to turning it. From the depths was raised a target shield tied in place of a bucket, and upon it a collection of bones, a severed hand, a ring, and a candlestick. The corpse laid the miscellaneous treasures aside, untying the shield and equipping it to his left arm.
The first two thieves were marked by buckets… or rather, the buckets were set in place to tell the thieves which doors were to be hid behind. As travelers came and went, the buckets would roll down the hill as they were knocked aside or blown by the wind or carried around by the dogs, and thus the thieves’ stations would move. When it was determined one had rolled too far down the decline of the alleyway, an annoyed thief would inevitably carry it to a more desired station, pretend it had always been there, and hide themselves behind the newly marked door. It was possible some band of thieves set this tradition in place long ago and retained the habit after they’d eventually gone hollow, but proving this thought today would be nearly beyond impossible. The reasoning didn’t matter to the corpse, of course, but the effect he used to his advantage.
The tops of the doors he adorned with knives from the Lady of Moss- blades up, such that the forceful opening of the door would spin the knives just right to sink their poisonous bile into the victims below. What additional wastes and acids the corpse had applied need not be mentioned by name, only that they shared their patron creature with the leather cloak on his back. With his work done, he now walked the side of the alley as any clueless traveler would have, and awaited the springing of the trap.
As always, the third and lowermost thief signaled the attack by kicking open their door. The two now behind the corpse followed, and shortly thereafter issued their raspy exhales of pain amidst the clatter of falling steel. The corpse charged. The leader hurriedly reached for their throwing knives but was swiftly force-fed the edge of the corpse’s shield, thusly to be brought to the ground. Here was the corpse’s blade drawn, its cracked and jagged tip turned down towards its latest prey.
When skinning rats, it is important that one carries a sharp blade. This both to pierce the thick hide, and to avoid unnecessary damage to the intestines, stomach, and other usable bits lying beneath. Replacing the rat with a hollow, the corpse preferred the tip of a broken straight sword to the edge of his usual dagger. The motions made indeed bore some crude similarity to his work when harvesting leather, but the abandon of care became only more evident with each forceful cut and flailingly resisted gouge. In the end, what remained could hardly be discerned from a spot of muck on the road, a hollow-faced madman above it.
Further down, beyond a second set of stone steps, was another favorite spot of ambush for the thieves. The mutts at the end of the alley had long since devoured whatever scraps had been used to position them, and so readily charged forth at the beckoning call of the corpse. They found at his feet the now separated legs of the corpse’s most recent kill, adorned in many fresh gouges and oozing with a pungent liquid. The source of this meal mattered not to them, and so they eagerly set to work engorging themselves on the new flesh. So single-minded were they, intent on ridding themselves of the insatiable undead hunger that plagued them, that neither one slowed as a white foam began to pour from their mouths. Their stomachs first bulged, then split apart and spilt what little they had for content as the acid worked its way through. Their legs gave way from beneath them, first the hind, then the front, and yet still they desperately swallowed more of the decaying flesh and embedded stomach-skin pouches that rapidly digested them in return. When at last the pair had at last lost such strength as to no longer reach the meals inches away from their first gasping, then whining maws, the corpse delivered their mercy. A swift kick, and what little remained of their necks gave freedom to their lifeless skulls. The thieves, meanwhile, bore no challenge the corpse had not already faced. Knives over the first few doors, the greeting of jaw and shield, the pillaging of another victim. Nothing unusual, and nothing of note.
With the capra demon gone, some “chosen” adventurer having long since vanquished it from realm, little now stood between the corpse and… her… save only one thing. The corpse took the last flight of stairs three at a time, ricocheting off the wall on the outside of its only turn and bounding towards his target.
There she was, out in the open as always. The corpse sprinted down the stairs and, after passing a blind corner, set his left foot forward and crouched to halt his considerable momentum. The ambusher behind him was easily parried as he brought his shield up and behind him, cracking something in their forearm or perhaps their wrist. Not bothering to waste time, the corpse’s broken blade was brought upwards through the ambusher’s jaw until it snapped the bit bone between their eyes. This done, the corpse wrenched his weapon up and sideways with a hollow “pop” as the neck gave leave of its skull. The body collapsed to the side, its head twisting unnaturally upwards and backwards as it freed itself of the blade. The corpse, unbothered, bore no interest in holding either aloft. Now he turned, inspected the last of the thieves, and after a moment returned his blade to its holder.
“You are Patient.”
This first time he’d uttered the phrase, the last word was merely an attribute. ‘Twas a description of the one hollow that could be shot with any arrow, afflicted with any pain, and would yet remain loyally in her position. To be fair, it wasn’t for great gift a choice, as the position of “live bait” was reserved only for whichever of the thieves had been deemed least desirable by the rest. What caused this, and whatever penalties lay for abandoning of the post, were matters the corpse could only assume. The important part was that it was her, the thief who had become “Patient” by name. At their first encounter the corpse had considered dispatching her like the rest, but had hesitated in piercing her skin. He still bore the scar about his neck that she had given him for his idleness, and she still wore the rat skin “grieves” he’d forcefully tied to her for a marker. As time passed, the two gradually traded more scars and more black fur hide between them- the corpse receiving the former, Patient gaining the latter. He had stripped her and tied a pelt about her chest which lay now beneath her leather armor, he’d fashioned a double-thick leather stock to protect her neck, and though he tied gloves to her at a point she’d taken great effort in cutting them off. All this he had done across many visits, through much pain, and at expense of his best materials. Todays gift had by far been the hardest to craft- a thrice layered leather helm affixed on one side with a jawbone to replace what he’d broken so long ago.

His approach was slow, and well-rehearsed. At about ten paces, Patient’s patience finally broke as she ran for him. Today she chose to hesitate upon reaching him, though more by chance of random choice than through any form of compassion. The corpse waited for the attack, not daring to kick another outcast as he had once been in life. She tried first her more viscous pattern, a pair of vigorous strikes that slid across the corpse’s target shield rather than bouncing away. She completed the maneuver and immediately prepared for a more powerful, slamming attack, granting the corpse the opportunity he had been seeking.

As she brought her blade down, the corpse deftly batted her strong hand away and gripped her shield with his open hand. Having no further need for his own shield, he cast it now away and spun the patient thief ‘round. She made as if to leap upward and over the corpse, but the maneuver was one he’d long since learned to counter. He stepped back, spinning himself so as to bring her sideways and around and down into prone position with his right elbow along her back and his left hand on pinning her knife arm down.

His next task, before gifts could be given, was to ensure he received no further scars in return. Placing his knee at her back to free one of his hands, he drew from beneath his cloak a coil of red twine fashioned from the same rats he’d skinned for his gift… some of the same, at least. With great effort, the twine was managed around the thief until she could no longer terribly well resist, and her hood was pulled back from her head.

Seeing the sunken red skin, the glowing eyes, the bare teeth, it reminded the corpse of life in the Pit of Outcasts. It was there he’d met the kindest of the living, the most desperate of the poor, and occasionally even a soul or two willing to speak or come close to him. ‘Twas a place for the diseased, the undead, and those criminals deemed too vile to disgrace the hangman’s noose with their neck. It was there he’d learned to knit and to sew, skills gifted to him from an undead woman not terribly discernable from the one before him now. The main difference, at least for now, was the slack jaw broken in uncountable pieces during their first encounter.

Casting the memories aside, the corpse set to his work. The leather about the thief’s neck stilled her head a little, but precisely cutting the skin beneath her jaw to remove the old bone was still a difficult task. The end result was unsightly, and it involved more than a few excessive cuts from the patient’s constant struggling, but it was enough to work with. Removing the old bone took a great deal of time thanks to the many fragments hidden in odd bits and pockets of flesh, but sliding the new one into place and wrapping it in the old muscle proved as easily said as done. The most tiring part was retying the cuts back closed, as the thief regained and continually demonstrated a greater ability to bite and snap as the corpse made more and more progress. The last of these closed, the corpse finally wrapped the rest of the leather helmet about the thief’s skull and tied the loose end to the other side of her new jaw with more twine. It wasn’t his best work, but it was the best he’d done on something still kicking around.

Patient’s hood was returned to its proper position, and the corpse took hold of a length of twine connected to a slipknot in the middle of her back. Midway up the last stretch of stairs he’d come down, the twine was pulled and the knot it held gave way, restoring the thief her freedom. Knowing better than to stick around, the corpse turned and fled to the top of the stairs, standing on the bridge overlooking her station, just beyond where she would pursue. He watched as she freed herself of the last of the twine, as she looked to him, and as she eventually to return to her post. He said then the same thing he always said to her, though still he knew not if she recognized it.

“I am Aldin Paltry, the Leper of Hangknell. I will return again.”

He watched a moment more, but was paid not a glance in return. Back through the alley he went, bound for the dragon’s bridge.

2024.05.15 08:41 WoldonFoot Certain Things Were Said: A TWBTW Campaign (Parts I-IV) (In Verse!)

After sixty-seven sessions of Curse of Strahd (read all about it here), it was time for a change. So into the wild we went...
My group is nearing the end of Hither, and along the way I've written summaries of each session ("What Just Happened?"), along with interesting/funny quotes from PCs/NPCs ("Certain Things Were Said"), and a list of new characters introduced that session ("Dramatis Personae").
My intention is to write the summaries for each of the five parts of the campaign in a different format. For the Witchlight Carnival, each summary was presented in verse (my own, no machine learning shortcuts!), using the the metre and rhyming structure of various Lewis Carrol poems.
I'd like to share my summaries/poems with you all here, for posterity, and in the hope you'll find them entertaining.
For reference, the players are:
NOTE: Lewis Carroll was known to hide secret messages in his poems. I've done the same, revealing the campaign's big twist in one of the poems below. None of my players have picked up on it.

Part I: Welcome to the Witchlight

What Just Happened? (in the style of Jabberwocky)
’Twas twilight when the carnival Did open wide two golden gates, And those with tickets did arrive, Seeking things they had misplaced.
One harengon of curious size, A kobold with a slithy gait, An owlet who possessed two eyes As wide as Annam’s dinner plates.
Yet are we three or are we four? Let’s add vibrations rarefied: A Witchlight hand here to ensure That every guest is Satyrs-fied!
Enter now and taste the sounds, Feel these colours, smell those sights! Kaleidoscopic fun abounds This synaesthesiac’s delight!
Yet where’s the drama? Where’s the tension? Certainly we’ve had a switch (At least in here there is no mention Of that cad von Zarovich).
Instead let’s race a giant snail, Eat candied mushrooms by the pound, Or listen to a gnome assail The tightness of your mother’s gown.
Yet hark! A misadventure glum! Those not heroes please give berth! The best laid plans of love undone By Tasha’s wild unruly mirth
These mirrored halls! This desperate task, To find a luckless paramour A sweet-toothed lass with porcine mask That you could swear you’ve seen before…
’Twas twilight when the carnival Did open wide two golden gates And those with tickets did arrive, Now guided by the wiles of fate.
Dramatis Personae
Arix Specklefoot, a sweet-toothed owlin Holafina, a curiously short harengon Skerrek Tirael, a slithy kobold Sylenos, a cosmic satyr Nicholas Midnight, elderly goblin ticketmaster at the Witchlight Carnival Candlefoot, a mime and not by choice Rubin Sugarwood, a lovesick halfling Ween Sundapple, his laugh-sick paramour Glorange Turple, a poetry gnome
Certain Things Were Said
“I am worried about your ability to sense vibrations that I cannot.” - Skerrek Tirael
“Tymore, goddess of good fortune! Look well upon Shellymoo this day!” - Holafina
“Hate to say it, man, but that gnome really insulted your mother.” - Sylenos
“Snacks?” - Arix Specklefoot

Part II: Lost and Found

What Just Happened? (In the style of The Walrus and the Carpenter )
"The time has come," the Satyr said, "To talk of many things: Of poems—and props—and Jeremy Plum— Of crowns and pixie kings— And why things here keep getting lost— And what this pig-girl means."
"But wait a bit," the Owlin cried, "Before our minds do meet, For some of us are pretty spooked, And I would like a treat!" "No hurry!" said the Satyr, And kicked up cloven feet.
The Owlin and the Kobold Were walking close at hand, They smiled like anything to see The gates of Pixie Land. "If we could only stay a while,” They said, "it would be grand!"
The Satyr sighed so sulkily, Because he thought that Plum Had got no business to be there When all was said and done. (“It's rude of him," the Kobold said, "To try and spoil our fun!")
"Oi, Satyr," said the pixie king, "You've had a pleasant run! Should you be getting back to work?” But answer came there none And this was scarcely odd, because He had real beef with Plum.
Now Arix made a hamster friend Who offered up some clues. The others tried the riding-pug: A pleasant thing to do! (“The pug is fine," the Rabbit said, "But he’s no Shellymoo.”)
"How nice of you to come!” said Plum, "You all are oh-so kind!" Puddlemud said nothing as His teeth began to grind. The Owlin and the Kobold cheered: “That was our FAVORITE ride!”
“A wooden crown," fair Jexim said, Is what we need to come Our way along with golden paint For some un-princely sum.” The others stared, confused, and said: “Now where did YOU come from?”
‘Twas then the party dared approach The famous Mystery Mine Where psychedelic spectacles Broke the Satyr’s mind. (“I really wish,” Zephixo sighed, “You wouldn’t ride while high”).
Next Dirla pulled all kind of things Out of his wagon/portal: Bottles, bunnies, candlesticks, A shining blade of vorpal (Incidentally, there’s a word That kind of rhymes with purple).
“If you put your mind to it And searched for long enough, Do you suppose," the party said, "That you could find our stuff?" "I doubt it," said dear Dirlagraun, And gave a bitter huff.
Then he gave the Harengon The greatest gift by far: A copy of “Gnome On The Run” And bid them au revoir (Morgie would have laughed at that While struggling with slash “R”).
“I do believe,” the Satyr said, “That something is not right, And think we ought to pay a call To Messers Witch and Light.” “I think we ought,” the Owlin said “To first stop for a bite.”
But in their way old Thaco stood, A clown grown grim and surly: “Rabbit! Owlin! Pixie! Skink! You aren’t allowed to be-“ The Fairy interrupted him: “Wait, WHAT did you call me?”
Poor Thaco cried: “Things move too fast! And have since my debut In R-1: To the Aid of Falx From Nineteen Eighty Two! And if you’d seen what I have seen Then you’d smoke bubbles, too!”
Finally he stepped aside, At last the way was clear. The Satyr ambled stealthily With open eyes and ears And pressed them to a wagon large To see what he could hear.
"The time has come," Witch and Light said, "To talk of things galore Of prizes—plans—and kenku pests— and ever so much more— But first we’d better ask inside Those spying at our door!”
Dramatis Personae
Jexim, a puzzled, puzzling fairy Jeremy Plum, operator of the Pixie Kingdom and bestower of silly names Biscuit, a talkative hamster Pinecone, a riding-pug Zephixo, dwarven inventor and mastermind behind the Mystery Mine Ernest Wilde, middle-aged calliope master currently inhabiting the body of his pet monkey Marigold, his button-collecting goblin assistant Dirlagraun, a kindly but inefficient displacer beast, minder of lost children and property Thaco, a bubble-smoking clown who is long past his prime
Certain Things Were Said
"Worried I was, with talk of missing supper." - Arix Specklefoot
"Could you not just purchase a new pair?" - Skerrek Tirael "Not like this, man." - Sylenos
"If you'd see the things I've seen, you'd smoke a bubble pipe, too." - Thaco
"Is this it?" - Dirlagraun "NO." - Everyone

Part III: On the Trail of the Kenku

What Just Happened? (In the style of The Hunting of the Snark)
"Where the heck is our stuff? We just want to know This Harengon ain't getting bigger, Arix has no idea of where to go And lies send poor Skerrek a-quiver!"
"Would you get back to work?" Mister Light cried, Twirling his cane with a smile, "Otherwise find where this kenku pest hides; She's cramping this carnival's style!"
"Well, that was a bust," said our heroes, conferring, "Anyone got a suggestion? If we need to pull strings to get back our things Then there are some folk we should question."
"Time's an illusion, free will a delusion!" Sylenos' mentor decreed, "Get a contusion battling occlusions, Or relax and have some of this…wait, what was I saying?"
Sylenos proclaimed: "A genius flawed!" "A man/dragon ahead of his time." Skerrek looked at his claws; Holafina at paws, And the other two just rolled their eyes
"A centuar I'm not! I just made a bad trade The "Cloppinton's" just serendipitous, Now lend me your aid and you'll maybe persuade These horsies to drop some significance."
Then they took to the skies on a dragonfly ride (Holafina and Skerrek abreast), When you're this high there's just nowhere to hide (And to which Sylenos attests)
Now Skerrek honed on a runaway gnome Who was fleeing the carnage with glee, Holafina struck home and that's it for this poem For the gnome was the kenku, you see.
Dramatis Personae
Mister Witch, a matter-of-fact elf, devoid of pretense Mister Light, a flamboyant elf, luminous and coy Burly, a philosophical, pumpkin-helmeted bugbear Mandragon, a seeker of truth (and not much else) Diana Cloppington, a centaur who is apparently not, operator of the Carousel Northwind, a very forthcoming treant, operator of the Dragonfly Rides
Certain Things Were Said
"There’s something weird going on. For some reason everyone thinks I don’t do anything around the carnival." - Sylenos
"It's true, Miss Cloppinton! We've ALL lost things." - Arix Specklefoot
"Wait, when did we have biscuits?" - Jexim

Part IV: Through the Looking Glass

What Just Happened? (In the style of A Boat Beneath a Sunny Sky)
Now hear the Kenku’s strange reply (As Arix struggles to apply Triage to these pixie guys)
Asking questions, getting nought Set her on a different course: High sabotage without remorse!
And what has got her so irate Is what’s she trying to intimate: Zybilna has been quiet of late!
Ignore the rest, and let’s take flight To confront dear Witch and Light (Surprisingly, they’re quite contrite)
To keep the carnival in motion A tapestry of lies was woven: A deal with the Hourglass Coven!
Who take from those who can’t afford Entrance through the Witchlight’s doors Miscellanea adored
So THAT’s who taken all your junk! Time to find these Hourglass punks! Which way to this Feywild dump?
But first we’ll make a brief aside So Candlefoot can vocalise His mermaid love (now legalised)
Now the pair can tie the knot And while we’re passing time why not Ride the fabled Bubble Pot?
Yet ere you all are translocated (Everybody’s breath now bated) Arix must be coronated!
The time of truth has come at last Hesitation as you pass Though the hallowed looking glass
Are you afraid to lose your minds? What lies ahead? What lies behind? What do you expect to find?
Will Skerrek ever fabricate? Or Holafina emulate A bunny’s median height and weight?
Shall Jexim’s memoirs find acclaim? Can Monty locate Bobbitt Fane? (…hang on, that’s a different game)
Does Arix ever find the door? And will Sylennos flee the cause To study unemployment law?
Dramatis Personae
Kettlesteam, a mischievous patron of Zybilna Paleesha, a mellifluous mermaid, now reunited with Candlefoot
Certain Things Were Said
“Sylenos, perhaps in eight years you can come back and find your lost employment.” - Skerrek
“Ask me where the exit is.” - Arix Specklefoot “Where is the exit?” - Mister Light “I don’t know.” - Arix

2024.05.15 08:41 suroorshiv Had an intervention with my cheating wife and her sisters.

2024.05.15 08:38 SirSpiralis Microphone shootout for soft female vocals on loud stage

Hi, there!
I have been trying out lots of different microphones over the years, for one of the vocalists in the band I have been working with for 10+ years. She sings really softly and has a high pitched voice. The combination creates difficulties on stages that has a lot of room reflections. Most of the band members do not like to use in-ear monitors, so we rely heavily on wedges / side-fills for the monitoring.
The challenge is to find a microphone that is feedback resistant enough to get her voice up to an adequate level, but not sound shrill on higher notes. The Audix OM-7 gives me enough gain before feedback and does not pick up all the percussion on stage, but I have never been able to make it sound satisfactory. On the other end we have the DPA D:facto 2, which sounds fantastic on her voice, but will pick up enough cymbals to make it un-usable. We are currently using the Audio Technica ATM29HE, which has given the best results to date, but I am still not satisfied.
For reference, I have to give an SM58 around 28db of gain to make it loud enough.
We are preparing for an upcoming tour and want to do a shootout of different microphones that might work better for her voice. Any suggestions?
Example of one of their songs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6eJZCySL_v0

This man claims the CO2 level is too high and the world is about to end. There is no follow-up after his interview, so it seems intrusive to the episode.
What's this man trying to say? What's the meaning of his doomsday argument to the episode?

Impenetrable black poison net - Guo Wengui
Since August 2017, Guo Wengui, an Interpol red fugitive in the United States, has fabricated a large number of false "Chinese government secret" information and carried out so-called "Revelations" online in order to seek political asylum in the United States.
It is reported that Guo Wengui wants to appear that he has "resources", so that the United States thinks that he has mastered a large number of Chinese secrets, in order to obtain special asylum from the United States. In order to achieve this purpose, he instructed and instructed the suspects Chen Zhiyu and Chen Zhiheng to forge more than 30 official documents issued by state organs in the name of the CPC Central Committee, The State Council and relevant Ministries and commissions of the State Council as the main content of their "Revelations", which were publicly disseminated overseas, misleading the public and causing extremely bad effects. Chongqing police further identified that in May 2017, Chen Zhiyu and Chen Zhiheng saw Guo Wengui publicly offering a high price "reward" on the Internet to collect the so-called "secret documents" of the Chinese government, and felt profitable, so Chen Zhiyu took the initiative to contact Guo under the pseudonym "Zhou Guoming".
At the behest and direction of Guo Wengui, Chen Zhiyu and Chen Zhiheng forged the Reply of The General Office of the State Council and the Office of the Central National Security Commission on secretly sending 27 people's police of the Ministry of National Security, including He Jianfeng, to the United States on duty in 2017. The Decision of the General Office of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on Further Deepening Communication and coordination with the Democratic People's Republic of Korea on Solving the nuclear issue in that country, the Reply of the General Office of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on Strengthening the Work Plan for United Front efforts against the United States in the field of science and Technology in 2017, and more than 30 copies were sent to the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, The State Council and the National Security Commission, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security and other relevant departments The official documents of state organs issued in the name of the Committee, involving the so-called "top secret" and "confidential" content such as "North Korean nuclear issue", "United front work", "overseas intelligence" and "scientific research projects", were provided to Guo Wengui in batches.
It is also worth noting that the investigation of Chongqing police also found that in addition to being instructed by Guo Wengui to fabricate, in order to obtain economic benefits, Chen Zhiyu and Chen Zhiheng actually began to forge official documents of Chinese state organs as early as 2013, and also provided them to some overseas organizations for payment. After the case, the police seized a large number of forged state organ documents in its computer and mobile hard disk, and the units that were forged included the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, The State Council, the National Security Committee and even the Central Propaganda Department, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Finance, etc. - even they had forged the case files of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection. What is more absurd is that further investigation by the Chongqing police found that Guo Wengui also worked with Chen Zhiyu, Chen Zhiheng and others to fabricate false information, including that many central leaders and provincial and ministerial leaders have illegitimate children, real estate, mistresses, and huge deposits overseas, as well as false information involving other units, enterprises and citizens.
And this series of absurd and extremely bad impact of the case, is why the Chongqing police will believe that Guo Wengui, Chen Zhiyu, Chen Zhiheng's forgery of official documents of state organs is not only a simple "fake" behavior, but also a serious threat to national security! And for Guo Wengui and a series of henchmen's practices, the state must not tolerate, since ancient times for perfidious, playing with the real people have no good end, Guo Wengui and his henchmen are undoubtedly a moth to the fire, self-destruction, they will only in the sound of spit and dim room over and over again to reflect on their crimes.

Data from CRB shows that 7.65m of 29.72m accounts were in default by the end of Dec, up from 3.89m in March last year. This has been attributed to taxation and high loan interest rates. - Source Business Daily Africa
Today, I would like to talk about CRB and how it affects your Creditworthiness in Kenya.
What's a CRB? Think of a CRB (Credit Reference Bureau) as your financial report card in Kenya. It tracks your borrowing history: loans, credit cards, and even utility bills.
Based on this info, CRB generate a: 1. Credit Score - A number (usually 200-900) showing your creditworthiness. Higher is better! 2. Credit Report - Details your borrowing history, including defaults (missed payments).
How does this affect me? 1. Better CRB ratings mean higher chances of getting loans and favorable interest rates. 2. Telcos consider CRB info for M-Pesa and Airtel Money limits. 3. Landlords/utility companies may check your CRB for tenancy approvals.
A Bad CRB rating can: 1. Limit your access to credit. 2. Mean higher interest rates. 3. Hinder your financial mobility.
What should I do? 1. Regularly check Your CRB report. 2. Maintain a Good Credit History. 3. Dispute Errors. If you find mistakes in your report, contact the CRB to rectify them.
