Is there a limit or wall past which we can't understand any further?
A cat can learn what fish is and what some basic words means, just as a dog can associate words with commands. But neither dogs nor cats will (in our lifetimes) understand what it means to cuddle something REALLY REALLY tightly because it's just *SO* cute- they'll never understand concepts like cuteness. Or other complex topics like philosophy or astrophysics.
Is there a wall of understanding that our brains; which are evolved/designed for things such as mating, finding food and surviving (fighting wars)... Will never make it past?
Will technology like computers help us make it over these hurdles of understanding?

Using lessons learned we of the Ketchup's and Mustard's Company, learned while training our security forces in fighting fronts made us reliaze we need quicker ways on how to build fortifications and bases to hold ground. Along with modile bases so we can provide ground support much more easier to our ground security forces, than our ships in space. We have restarted efforts into studies of mobile bases..as they look to be more than able to be put to use on the war fronts to supply front line support and defences much more than our current abilities from space. Localized support will be a boon for any forces willing to put in the effort for making localized supply lines. On that front we have designed a mobile construction yard thanks to how much tech is avaible for us and from the interweb. We were suprised that these MCV's weren't picked up earlier by other factions to research into and develop their own.
And studies into those teleporting particles that the darleks used has opened up more technology pathways, we feel that we will be making some certian breakthroughs that a certain company will kill everyone involved to keep a secret, Chrono technology..instantly able to teleport forces across areas to locations already known at the same time..so far we have only these particles to study, but they have opened up so much pathways into instant teleportation.
Meanwhile that research was put on hold for our faction to begin Standardization of all of our ships, of researched and developed systems on many fronts we feel that while new to this galaxy our ships need massive standardization, while some of our ancient ship hulls have better armor and shields than some factions here, we won't be fielding them until we can make those type of armors and sheilds ourselves first.
So far our standardization of our ships are going very smoothly, along with our massive ability to do so to our many large ships thanks to some of our solar system large yards. It wasn't enough, thankfully our allies where able to help in our standarzatations operations. So far we have gotten 45% of all of our larger ships standardzied we need more materials to do so.
Thankfully our Material recovery units and ships are working their thoraxes off to get us those materials, and old technology that needs replacing has been recycled and all data regarding them has been saved and put into secure databases in case we need to remake them anytime in the future.
Thank the stars we have been able to keep ourselves selfsufficent, however our material trades have put on hold for a bit until our standardization of our fleets have been completed which will probably take a week or 2. Our standardized forces that are already in this galaxy are thankfully taking charge of operations galaxy wide to help push our own efforts forwards without needing to slow down our backline efforts thanks to how much we where able to standardize...armor and sheilds, upgraded power systems and electrical systems across the board and just so much more that has been worked on. Its a miracle that other forces haven't relized that our starships aren't that standardized yet..which is a good miracle. As it allows us time to finish our own standardization efforts across the board with our fleets. Then we can work on our ground forces after words...and we don't have to do such a rush of upgrading all of our ships even the new mothballed ones we gained from the hegemony...soo much bugs we had to recycle but it did help us research more advanced communication networks during the hyperlane travels. And those ships are being standardized too as they are our ships now woohoo take that everyone We made all of those mothballed ships better and ours so none of your so called spyware can even work on us! As the beautiful morning sun crests the peaks of the Nolden Mountain Range, illuminating the city of Princeton in it's ethereal glow, a subtle scent of unease hangs in the air...
It's been nearly a week since the end of the war, and yet, not a single soul in the country of Adelade feels the relief of the resolution to such a conflict. Dread so thick it could warm you in the winter frost hangs in the air and people go about their day with a moody trepidation that breeds nothing but more of this unease.
The local district baker opens his shop window, but he doesn't have that glowing smile on his face as he did before. His daughter, a young woman by the name of Sylvia, died in the war fighting for a cause that not many people agreed with. Adelade, with her saxum (One of the sister races of the human species) neighbors in the Nolden Kingdom, by all means "won" the war.
By all means, people should be celebrating. But why do they choose to remain somber? Bleak?
Well... They know. Everyone knows, hell, even the governments of the winning and losing sides both know. It was all an elaborate ruse. The war, the infighting, the civil unrest all over the continent of Aurum where these events have been taking place. They didn't see it until now, but it's so clear.
Southeast of Aurum, across the Sapphire Ocean, rests the colossal continent of Paladia. The whole region has been governed by a relatively new ideal that disrupted the status quo around eighty-odd years ago. The government of Paladia simply calls itself "The Republic."
Paladia was once ruled by a despotic tyrant in a line of succession named the Buckingham Dynasty. They were cruel feudal lords who controlled Paladia with an iron fist. But eighty-odd years ago, an incredibly violent revolution gripped the country, sparked by the cold-blooded summary execution of the entire Buckingham family tree, alongside many of the prominent nobility that circled the Buckinghams.
The revolution was long, drawn out, and many innocent people lost their lives, but the new ideal that stole the hearts of the people rose from the ashes with a zealous hatred for many traditional ideals, but most importantly: The ancient arts of Arcana, the worship of the gods, and the idea that governing power is born from blood, and not achieved.
These ideals are nearly a complete 180° from what the rest of the world had devoted their entire systems and ways of life to, so the backlash was heavy.
You see, magic, or Acana, in the world is gifted by ten divine artifacts known as the Arcane Crystals. Each of the five continents has two, and they act as conduits for Arcane powers to be utilized by any willing practitioners of the art. To practice, you must study in an Academy.
Wrapping back to Paladia, they destroyed their two crystals, vanquished the art of Arcana from every living and breathing being in the entire continent. They replaced their dependence on Arcana for a keen technological innovative society, growing arms and a military prowess the world had yet to see before, and they've been making small moves to enact their ultimate and final goal among the world... The complete destruction of Arcana across the world, and a new age born from steel and a new-era of innovation.
This is what the people on the continent of Aurum knew, this is what they've feared. The war between the north and south had weakened both sides so much that Paladian efforts to mobilize have become bolder, and it's clear they're going to make a move very soon... If Aurum falls, the world would be at the mercy of Paladia.

That was a lot, and I apologize for the random dumping of lore. I'm sure it was equivalent to whiplash, and there's a LOT more I've built onto this world. But ladies, gents, and everyone in-between, welcome to the world of Ardonia. My personal baby. I suppose I'm wanting to start playing with it a bit in the roleplay sector because I do want to create a novel out of it at some point, and roleplaying in the past has always helped my terrible ADHD brain focus on creative storytelling.

Ich lese mich schon länger in dieses Thema ein und war bis vor kurzem richtig heiß darauf, meinen eigenen Strom zu produzieren. Ich wohne in einem 6-Parteien-Haus. Soweit ich weiß brauche ich die Zustimmung des Vermieters und er darf die Installation eines BKW ohne triftigen Grund nicht verbieten.
Ich habe die Tage mal per e-Mail angefragt, wie man denn dazu steht. Ich habe erklärt, dass ich Module auf das Flachdach der Garage aufstellen und mit Gehwegplatten beschweren wollen würde. Antwort war dann, dass man aufgrund des daraus resultierenden Risikos keine Genehmigung erteilen würde, was ich ja sogar nachvollziehen kann. Eine feste Installation wäre mir auch lieber, eine Aufstellung mit Gehwegplatten... ich weiß ja nicht. Ich möchte aber nicht in das Dach der Garagen bohren und bekäme sicherlich auch keine Genehmigung dafür.
Ich denke nicht, dass ich noch ans Ziel komme. Wie seht ihr das?

In reflecting on the Vietnam war, it was mainly the baby boomers who headed the anti-war protests. Why do they not hold the same sentiment towards recent/current wars, specifically ones with American involvement?
It's gotten me thinking about the current war protesters e.g. the protesters in university encampments who are viewed as "crazy liberals" - will these people one day be the bums of the world? Is the shift in anti-war sentiment an age thing? What factors is it based on?

The Predator King has unfortunately got bored with their small Hunts and decide to have a full scale War with Xenomorphs instead, after searching multiple planets they find Earth has plenty of Hosts with over 8 billion Humans and trillions of other suitable Host species including birds and fish it's perfect for their experiment, They want to study how the Human race fight the Xenomorphs first so they secretly they drop 1 Alien Queen 15 Drones and 5 Warriors into each of the 7 continents and observe from their home world waiting for Earth to be overrun.
Main - This happens 01/01/2025 how do you think it all plays out both for the Human race and can the Yautja handle trillions of different potential unknown Xenomorph variations how long does the Human race last which country lasts longest do Humans manage to stop the infestation and survive? Plus some scenarios
Scenario 1 - The Yautja use their technology to disable our main weapons (missiles tanks planes ships) small arms still work, also disable satellites and internet (radio still works) Xenomorphs only active at night. Can any countries survive?
Scenario 2 - The Yautja use their technology to disable our satellites and internet and most forms of long range communication only still usable would be megaphones smoke signals and forms of Morse Code, only Animals can be Hosts to the Aliens. Can the Humans figure out what's going on before the tipping point?
Wacky silly Bonus - The films actually happened so the Human race knows about Aliens and Predators and has some of their tech and both races have a basic level of communication, some of the Yaujta Elders still honour and respect the Humans from when the Humans beat them or fought along side them so when they find out what the Predator King has done decide to intervein, they unleashes some Bad Bloods on the Predator home world distracting the King from watching Earth allowing some clans to land on Earth to Hunt the Xenomorphs and gather a sizable force of Humans to go to the Predator home world to attempt to kill the King (unfortunately after the main force left Earth some of the Young Bloods clans left behind messed up under New York and Beijing and end up getting infected, also during the Bad Bloods rampage on the Predator home world one of them left the city and damages a Xenomorph containment facility releasing a Alien Queen and a few FaceHuggers and gets infected) by the time the ships arrive from Earth to the Predator home world some local wildlife and Yautja settlements have been overrun. So now Both planets are having a conflicts between Aliens Humans Predators and PredAliens, and a civil war for the Throne How do you see this playing out?
