Shopkick is an app that gives points for scanning the barcodes of certain products in stores.
You go onto a store's page inside the app and they'll have a list of products to scan with a corresponding kick(point) value. You can also get more kicks for buying those products and scanning a receipt. You’ll get 500 kicks once you earn at least 10 kicks within 7 days of signup.
250 kicks are equal to $1

2024.04.24 19:21 Mikazah This week's grocery haul: I got paid $27 to take $73 worth of Dog Food, Cat Food, Drinks, Depends, Toilet Paper, and More!

Here are the goodies.

Finally finished up my big April bonus! $25 for 93 offers.

Total: $73.39

Coupons: $6.35

Total Cash Back: $94.29

Final Cost: -$27.25 - Money Maker

Here is the complete break down and sites used. The stores are listed in the breakdown image. I don't include sites that take any receipt on my breakdown.
Note: Individual deals vary by user for most apps. If you don't have the deals right now, you can try checking back later.

My Guides
  1. All rebate apps/sites I use and/or know about
  2. How I do my hauls
  3. Beginners guide to using rebate apps/sites - for those who don't know where to start

If you aren't interested in this kind of thing, please keep your comments to yourself. If you don't like what I buy, you can buy different products. If you don't like hunting for deals, you can do surveys, microtasks, games or whatever else you like instead. There is no need to discourage other users just because you aren't interested in the same things!

If you don't need feminine hygiene products, toothpaste, soaps, etc - consider donating them to your local women's shelter, church, or school!

Some Additional Deals

Afterthoughts

Finally finished off my big April bonus for $25. I definitely prefer the littler 1.5-2 week bonuses, but this one wasn't too bad since every redemption counted instead of just uniques.
This week's haul got split up quite a bit. I went out of town so I decided to stop by Target and Wegmans. I dropped by one of the Wal-Marts on the way, initially planning to finish my bonus that day, but I started feeling pretty bad while I was in the store so I just gave up and headed home. I knew I'd be going out near my local Wal-Mart today so I decided to just finish it up then instead. It ended up being pretty expensive, unfortunately. I've had a pretty bad headache since Monday so I just grabbed whatever to finish off the big bonus. Those bubbly were quite a bit more than I thought for some reason. Also, I messed up on the Suja. For some reason I thought Aisle was one free but it was BOGO. Also, the Fancy Feast Gems didn't scan on Shopmium. I planned to submit it there as well for an extra $1, but neither of the ones I bought scan. I could probably contact support, but I feel like I'd have to fight them since I submitted it to SB (even though I bought two...) and it's not really worth it for $1.

I'm pretty disappointed with Aisle this week. I had a bunch of offers that claimed to be near me, and they did have the products near me but the stores they required do not exist in my state. So that was pretty annoying. I was actually pretty excited to try the one dairy free chocolate peanut butter bar.
I couldn't get connected to Shopkick's server today. I'll probably get an extra 100 SK for the beneful though.

Time Spent

This whole week was a mess between planning and shopping. I didn't really keep track but I wasted a ton of time in Target and Wegmans looking for things that were sold out. Today's Wal-Mart haul only had like 7 minutes of "planning" which half the deals I had were sold out, so I just figured out the rest in the store. I think I was at Wal-Mart for a bit over an hour, which included my regular shopping, as well as me sitting in the parking lot trying to figure out why my IB app was being fussy.

Food From Deals

Here's some things I've made in the past: High Protein Tomato Crackers, Hot Sausage Cups, Peanut Butter Fudge & Chocolate Hazelnut Fudge, Chocolate Cherry Pie

Do you guys want me to continue showing things I've made using ingredients I got from rebate apps on these posts? Let me know in the comments, or you can vote on this poll if you want to remain anonymous.

Mini FAQ

  • If you're new or confused - check out the guides near the top of the post. They go into detail about everything.
  • I'm from the USA and these posts are tailored as such, but this post of mine does list things from other countries that I know about.
  • My posts are tailored to being money makers to suit this subreddit. There are tons of great deals that aren't money makers but can still save you a lot of money.
  • A lot of what I get is given away to friends, family or is donated. I do this more as a hobby than anything.
  • I generally do not share my spreadsheet since the one shown in this post is not the one I actually use (it's put together with a script from my usual spreadsheet) and there are a ton of little things that will give you wrong values if you don't know about them and even then you have to be careful. It's super easy to make a spreadsheet with Google Sheets though.

Reach Out to the Game Developers

A creative and often overlooked method to gain free rewards in Kingdom Guard is by directly contacting the game developers. This approach can be particularly effective, especially if you're an active and engaged player. Here’s how you can make the most of this opportunity:
  1. Provide Valuable Feedback: Game developers appreciate constructive feedback that can help improve their games. Share your experiences, suggest improvements, or report any bugs or issues you’ve encountered. This type of valuable feedback is often rewarded with in-game bonuses like free rewards.
  2. Participate in Beta Testing: Keep an eye out for announcements regarding beta testing of new features or versions. Participating in these tests can sometimes lead to rewards as a token of appreciation for helping the developers iron out any kinks before a full release.
  3. Engage on Social Media: Follow the game’s social media accounts and actively participate in discussions, contests, and events. Developers often host giveaways or special events where you can earn free rewards.
  4. Join the Community: Be an active member of the game’s community forums or groups. Developers occasionally reach out to active community members with special rewards or exclusive opportunities.
  5. Subscribe to Newsletters: Sign up for the game’s newsletter if available. Sometimes, developers send out codes for free rewards or give early access to new features to subscribers.
Remember, the key is to be genuine in your interactions. Developers are more likely to reward players who contribute positively to the game's community and development. While there's no guarantee of receiving rewards, this approach fosters a good relationship with the developers and enhances your gaming experience.

And there you have it, Kingdom Guard players! Three simple yet effective tips to boost your gameplay without spending a penny. From tapping into the world of gift card apps to engaging directly with the game's developers, there's a wealth of options to explore. 2024.01.16 14:15 ayejy January '24 Commissary Hidden Deals (mid month)

Hey fellow spouses! Some of you may remember me from my post I made before sharing my hobby of locating amazing deals at the commissary that aren't advertised anywhere. First, WOW! The support and incredible feeling of helping others has transformed this hobby. Thank you all so much! I thought I'd post the full list of hidden deals I found so far this month in January.
For those of you who don't know.. The commissary tends to discount items and not publish the sales anywhere, which can result in incredible savings on items you end up grabbing. I have a hobby of spending a few hours every other day looking through hundreds of products (it's fun for me..oddly) to locate them and publish them on my site. It is so rewarding to help folks! If you decide to check it out, feel free! But I'll publish them here as well for ease of reading/access.
These prices should apply to all 50 states.

2023.12.31 02:47 ToddlewayDotCom Qn re FBA shipping out my product to customers

I have just started selling one of my products on Amazon FBA. It is a long (around 84cm/32”) and fairly thin. It is a flat electrical light panel that is packaged in foam inside a brown Kraft box that has my product labelling/brand name printed on it.
I have had customers tell me that Amazon is shipping it in its product packaging as is, no amazon overbox or poly bag. This is often a gift and it is coming with amazon stickers on the front, the box is being mishandled in shipping and sometimes the power adaptors are falling out. One photo even had a boot print on the box.
I have asked Amazon support about this. They confirm the ASIN is not enrolled in SIPP/SIOC.
I get that they probably think the product is ok to ship as is, it’s a flat brown box itself but I cannot get Amazon to chuck it in a polybag. They say I needed to say Amazon preps rather than merchant when sending the shipment in. I thought prep was only if you needed amazon to add barcodes etc - that sort of prep, which this does not need.
I was under the impression that as part of paying the shipping cost included them sending it out in their box/bag?
Is there something I am missing? Do I need to specify this somehow when submitting the FBA shipment at the “who preps” stage?
Any help would really be appreciated

2023.11.27 06:31 ch1ckenl1ttle Can I mail a bubble mailer (or similar) without using an ugly shipping label?

I can't find an answer for this anywhere, so I hope I can learn here!
I'm a designer and am getting married in 2024. Of course, I designed my wedding invitations and am really excited about how everything is coming together. Because of how they're designed, and because of the "vibe" / visual language of everything, and odd sizes, I'm planning to send them in either a Kraft bubble mailer or rigid mailer (like this).
In short, the invitations are in a custom 5x9 folder. There are anywhere from 5-8 papers in each folder, so they're not terribly thick but it's not like it's a singular letter. I want to use a kraft paper mailer so I can use rubber stamps on the outside that tie into the design. I've researched size 0 for these mailers, which is 6x10, which is perfect.
Because I'm so particular, I have a plan to design my own address label or handwrite (whichever will be easiest). And... I just hate how ugly the printed labels for any mailers are. Do I absolutely have to have that in order to send them? Or does my own handwriting or my own designed + printed label suffice?
Similarly, because I assume these will count as packages and not envelopes, can I not use regular stamps? Will there be an ugly barcode for shipping payment?
Ultimately, I just want to know what to plan for so I can design to fit the best solution. In my ideal world, though, they'd look kind of like this.
Thank you!!

2023.11.14 02:04 Mikazah This week's grocery haul: I got paid $5 to take $52 worth of Ziploc Bags, Turkey, Fudge Brownie Mix, Cool Whip, Chips, and More!

Here are the goodies.

Managed to finish up my bonus, so I got my free turkey. I somehow managed to find a little one, so it ended up being nearly $3 profit.

Total: $51.50

Coupons: None! (Edit: Forgot to zero this out. Totals are the same, I just didn't fix it from last week.)

Total Cash Back: $57.15

Final Cost: -$5.65 - Money Maker

Photo of the haul.

Here is the complete break down and sites used. The stores are listed in the breakdown image. I don't include sites that take any receipt such as Coinout, ReceiptPal, etc on my breakdown. The Extra column is from a now dead deal. It ran out a couple minutes after I found out about it.

Some Additional Deals

Pet Food Deals - These aren't money makers but can take a nice chunk off.
  • Friskies Dry Cat Food - Really good deal right now. It brings the 16lb bag down to ~$3 - IB + Fetch + Shopmium + SK
  • Beneful - IB + SK + Shopmium - Brings the 14lb bags down to half price, or the big bags down by $10
  • More Dry Dog food rebates popping up on Shopmium + IB + SK
  • Lots of deals on Fancy Feast on IB plus a $0.50 bonus if you do 2 offers.
  • Lots of deals on Friskies on IB + SK + a couple on Shopmium
  • Purina Cat Chow on IB + Shopmium + SK
  • Purina Beyond on IB + SK
  • Blue Wilderness on IB + Shopmium

Afterthoughts

Today's whole grocery trip was rough. Planning in general was a bit tough since I had a bigger bonus than normal (25 vs 15-18) and my brain has been fried since yesterday. My spreadsheet says 16 since I knock off the gift cards and any of my regular purchases. For some reason almost none of the Colgate toothpaste works for Shopmium, so I was a bit frustrated with that. Every store was super packed today even though I went during a usually dead time. And on top of that, I kept forgetting things lol. Went into Wal-Mart 4 times, and Aldi's twice, plus two other stores. I had to pick up some groceries for someone else, as well as planning something for a Thanksgiving dinner, so there was a ton of groceries (compared to my norm). Thankfully, the person I was taking the groceries to had a wheelbarrow I could borrow. I definitely needed it.
I messed up a bit with one cat food deal. I ran out of the Friskies Complements rebates on Shopkick for the stuff my store carries, so I didn't grab them. But I forgot I had a deal on Fetch to spend $25, so now I'm about $2 short lol. There's still a week until it expires, but I wasn't planning to go shopping until next weekend.
I technically spent more than I got from my bonuses, but I'm okay with that since a large chunk of that cost was from the Ziploc bags. I can always use more Ziploc bags.

I was pretty shocked to see the "Cash Casserole" bonus today. Just getting the midweek bonuses came as a shock to me, but to have another one is just icing on the cake. It seems I got one of the worst possible ones though. I'm jealous of everyone who got $10/20. Either way, I was going to go shopping yesterday but wasn't feeling up to it, so I'm pretty glad now that I waited until today. That's an extra $5 for 7 more offers.

I saw that MyPoints made a change. They will now be counting all pending points towards the bonus for the day you earn them. Can't say I'm not a little disappointed - I loved how I would basically get two daily goals completed since half of my trip would pend for another day. Oh well.
I also noticed that Fetch now seems to let you link your Amazon and Wal-Mart accounts. The last time I looked it was just e-mail.

Time Spent

This week was just awful time-wise. My brain has been all foggy since yesterday, so I planned over the course of like 3-4 hours (mostly not looking at deals or playing with the cat). I was out for 2.5-3 hours today, most of which was spent on my 4 trips into Wal-Mart -_- As always though, it included my regular shopping, as well as going to stores without deals, and a pickup order for mostly non-deal things.

Food From Deals

Nothing really worth showing from this week. I've just been eating a bunch of steak with pasta (deal items pasta, oil, seasonings, etc) and spicy chicken patty sandwich wraps. This week I'll be putting together a snack platter which will be focused on fruit and veggies, but I'll be throwing in some chocolate, lunch meat, cheese, nuts, and maybe some other goodies I've gotten from deals/freebies. I'm also hoping to figure out something to do with all this tuna I got from previous deals. I've just been... saving it all. I have a bin full now.

Do you guys want me to continue showing things I've made using ingredients I got from rebate apps on these posts? Let me know in the comments, or you can vote on this poll if you want to remain anonymous.
