Both of them kept spamming no, being derogatory in chat, and using their antagonizing voice lines calling me pathetic and stupid. I don't have a paper thin mental to let this upset me, but it was incredibly annoying. We went on to win the game, I went massively positive, and as one last hurrah they said I was "lucky af" and "garbage". This whole experience made me turn off team chat for good and not join voice. So I want to ask, what rank should I rejoin voice and team chat? Diamond? Masters? GM? Never?

The federal government hopes that two groups suing the province over its controversial changes to Policy 713 win their cases, and say the Higgs government’s decision to “politicize” the issue is “unfortunate” and isn’t supported by experts.
The province is facing two lawsuits over its policy changes: one involving Anglophone School District East’s District Education Council (DEC), and another with the Canadian Civil Liberties Association.
Both groups argue the changes are illegal. The province is expected to argue next week that anglophone east’s case should be dismissed because the DEC doesn’t have the right to fight the issue in court.
On Friday, Education Minister Bill Hogan attempted to downplay the government’s newest Policy 713 battleground, its fight with the three francophone DECs, who are refusing to post the new policy on their districts’ websites.
Instead, their own versions are there, and according to the DECs, being enforced.
Previously, Hogan has threatened to dissolve them if they don’t start following the government’s new version of the policy. On Friday, however, he appeared to back away a little, saying that while the DECs had nominally adopted their own gender-identity policy, the schools in their districts are actually following the province’s new policy.
On Monday, Francophone School District South’s DEC scoffed at Hogan’s comments, and said they aren’t, and won’t, follow the new policy.
Michel Côté, the DEC chair, said its policy remains active and continues to be enforced in the district’s schools, “to ensure that every student can thrive in an environment that champions authenticity.” The policy allows students in Grades 6 and above to go by their preferred name and pronoun without parental consent and for younger students to do so on a case-by-case basis. This differs from the province’s version, which requires parental consent for students under 16.
At an unrelated press conference in Fredericton on Wednesday, Brunswick News asked Hogan about the fight with the francophone DECs.
“I’m not surprised by that question, and I have no comment,” he replied stoically.
But Beauséjour MP Dominic LeBlanc, the federal minister for intergovernmental affairs, and Minister for Women and Gender Equality and Youth Marci Ien were happy to discuss the issue.
“I’ve met educators and medical professionals that have real concerns about this,” LeBlanc said. “I think it’s unfortunate to politicize it in a way that has been the case in New Brunswick. It’s such an important and such a sensitive issue for families and for children.
“And I am confident that the people that have stepped forward, including to take this to the courts, I hope will be successful. And we’ll look forward to supporting children who are in this difficult circumstance.”
Ien noted that the policy changes affect “the most vulnerable kids.”
“And so when you’re dealing with queer kids and trans kids in particular, they have to be at the centre of every decision,” she said.
“When I look at the college of psychologists, when I look at educational forums, when I look at a lot of parents in particular, they all say kids come first. And anything that is detrimental to their mental health – and this would be detrimental to their mental health – isn’t a positive.”
Asked for her thoughts about other provinces, like Alberta and Saskatchewan, who appear to be following New Brunswick’s lead on Policy 713, Ien said it’s “highly concerning.”
She then discussed “the escalating hate” around Momentum Canada’s “Rainbow Week of Activism,” which is happening this week, and how organizers of several events have spoken about having to increase security because of “unconscionable” threats.
Ien, standing by her son Dash, said there’s a correlation between increased threats and policy changes like 713.
“We are hearing from the community that things have never been more intense, death threats have never been more intense, and they actually have to hire security and police in order to have a Pride parade, to bring family and community together. So that’s where we’re at.”
Asked what Ottawa can do, given that education is a provincial jurisdiction, Ien said her government is “leading by example, and that’s the thing to do.”

So, before you pay another 50 euros or 90 euros or 130 dollars for product x and y, check lymeherbs.eu and your grocery store and maybe etsy and if possible, plant your own houttuynia and see if your area has other natural medicines growing there. Dont pay 20x more than you need to pay. Get your cistus and other herbs at 90-99% discount by looking up a few websites first

I’ve taken this thing to the shop on and off for a year now. I’ve been good for about 6 months but last month i got the coolant warning and had to fill it up. Checked it everyday for a week and it stayed at the same level. Filling the coolant tank by the way. Well about one month exactly after it needed filled it was just about empty again randomly one night. Filled it again to the top and it’s dropped about 3-4 inches since then so it’s a slow leak but some days it won’t leak at all. Put in about 3-4k fixing this now not at the dealership cause it would’ve costed way more. I have $1388 until it’s payed off(350monthly). Any recommendations? I’ve got two full coolant things in the back in case it leaks empty while i’m at work. At one point the leak wouldn’t hold for a 30 minute drive so i had to run it but it seems bearable for now. 140k miles on the car. Before the coolant issues i had an engine metal shaving problem and it was under warranty so they put a new engine in. I know the oil filter reservoir got changed during this coolant mess. I could look when i get home at the receipts to see everything that’s been purchased from the local shop. They’ve helped my family out a lot as well so yea.

I’m so sad and sick of this. I feel so so devastated, why do I have to live with this. I feel so weak, I have mild Tourette’s but I already have two injuries from it that I can’t treat because I can’t ever stop injuring myself from this disorder ( shoulder pulling and ankle twisting) I will trade the world for freedom from this. When I was ten and already had Tourette’s I started having a snoring tic, which is probably my most noticeable one, it eventually faded within a year or two and this past month it came back so much worst. I hate this, my throat is sore and dry and I’m interrupting classes. I’m so scared I will always suffer from this tic, I thought I could live with this disorder but know I’m just not sure. Please don’t tell me it’s not a big deal and that there’s worst cases. I’m in university on the route to be a clinical psychologist and this disorder might steal all my dreams. :(

I recently gave notice to my landlord that I would be moving out within one month as my contract (ASH) would require that much notice.
They have since come back and said that the contract I signed from when they increased the rent, about 2 months into the ASH tenancy, means I am in a 6 month contract from that date, and I have to pay an extra two months of rent.
I’ve had a bit of whiplash here because while i’ve been basing my decision off the initial contract, I did sign the second one as I didn’t think it would be an issue.
Should I be seeking legal advice on this? Just here to get a ballpark estimation!

I’ve been friends with my friend for around a year and i don’t think it’s best we continue talking.
I know most people would ghost, but i don’t like the idea of ghosting and have been ghosted before and would never do it.
When we first starting talking, everything was just one worded. Months came by and i thought it changed for the most part because he would tell me a little about his day but that however never actually changed like i thought.
If i don’t initiate conversations he literally won’t.
All the conversations we’ve had go basically the same everyday with the “how’re you” or “what’s up” to the point that i’ve asked him if we’re even considered friends to which he says we’ve been friends for a year and why would i think that
I then got sick and wasn’t active for around a week or so and texted him saying “hey, sorry for not writing i’ve been sick” to which he said “I figured something happened” and that was that
There’s even been times where i would send him dumb videos of like a chihuahua barking at a bigger dog and getting scared when the dog barks back or funny fail clips and it’s always “cool” or “oh wow”
Another time when he had worked and i asked him how his shift was, he said “it was crazy” to which i said “why? What happened?” and he replied with “it just was” so i said “well i hope tomorrow is better” and he responded with “yep”
I only noticed recently that we text everyday and it’s literally about nothing.
I’m not saying he has to write paragraphs but it would be nice if he made an effort to have a conversation and it’s not just me talking all the time
I just don’t see a point in having the same conversation everyday and i want to express myself without it sound bad or mean, i don’t want it to come across that way at all.

Hi there, guys. I'm not sure if this is the best way to do this, but I thought I'd give it a go. Thanks for reading this, anyway.
Six months ago, my father suffered a pretty severe stroke. His motor skills are totally fine, but he was diagnosed with aphasia.
He manages to say some things that often feel like muscle memory speech, like specific short sentences or certain words, but most of his speech is blurred even if he's able to keep recognizable talking patterns. He can recognize some numbers and even write them, but he cannot read and struggles a lot to imitate sounds or words.
My father is not a quick learner. He's the kind of person who would mindlessly bash his head against a block instead of trying to figure out a way around a problem. He gets some writing exercises from his therapist (she says he's doing them because he seems keen to write), but then he obsessively tries to read these words and short sentences he writes for hours with zero success.
Just to give you an example: while he was still at the hospital, the nurses gave him a sheet with different drawings of potential needs he could have (they use these for patients who struggle to talk), like the TV remote, some slippers, or even reading glasses. One day, after I tried for some time, he managed to connect those drawings to real objects, but then, instead of using the sheet, he started pointing obsessively to the same items he identified the first time he got positive feedback from me, probably trying to send me away or just get some more positive feedback.
He seems to be obsessed with memorizing stuff, with some sort of relation of 'effort -> reward' that comes after learning patterns, which, after discussing it with his rehabilitator, we agreed isn't helping at all, but is sort of conditioning him in an almost Pavlovian way.
His life has turned into a very depressive cycle: he gets up and starts writing, then tries to read that for hours. Then, mostly my mum (I live abroad but I come every time I can to spend a few weeks with him) takes him out for a walk or to help her run some errands. Then, after lunch, he tries some exercises - if we convince him to leave the writing/reading for a while, he'll go for numbers - once more and we try to help him too, but then he wants to go to bed before 6pm.
He's very depressed. He doesn't really think of anything else. He doesn't want to do anything else. He's a massive football fan, for example, but since he was diagnosed, he hasn't watched a single match, not even with me, since I've been here, and it's pretty much the only father-son activity we ever enjoyed, which is heartbreaking. My mum cries very often, and they end up arguing, so the environment is basically a feedback loop of toxicity. He also somewhat forces my mother to go to bed as early as he does, so in a way she doesn't even have any space for herself at all, which is starting to cause visible damage in her mental health too.
I don't know what else to do. Everything I try seems to irritate them, so it has become a bit of a nightmare beyond the aphasia itself.
I'd really appreciate it if you have any tips or comments that could help us in any way, whether it's with his social dynamics or with the aphasia itself.
