Here is mine, as an alternative to people who want mana regeneration and are sick of enemy (1) having speed increased and (2) barrier

1) Vow

This one works pretty well for me as It only took me the first try on this specific vow, and had a consecutive row of 3 prevails with this vow on 32 Fear, meanwhile 0 defiance was used in all runs. In summary, this vow gives you slow start but smooth mid and late game if boons are alright.
The main problem of this vow is you get red onion in replaced of the first area boon, I do not have a good countermeasure, but what I usually do is focusing on the second god boon with Echo's keepsake or my rerolls
Had Vow of Bitterness in replacement of 20% speed and 2 barriers per foe

2) Weapon

Yes, without a guess, Aspect of Momus again (but i think the other weapons are also fine with this setup, have not yet tried though)

3) Arcana cards

Pros: (1) More hp & mana, (2) Mana regeneration, (3) Keepsake-free, (4) Cast could be very strong in late game
Cons: (1) Having useless Ashes and Psyche rewards, (2) Cant do much of losing first boon per area
This +3 dice is the essence of the whole deck, help reducing the impact of losing the first boon each area

4) Boons

Losing the first god boon each area may look terrific, but in fact no. Your build rely mostly on 2 to 4 specific god boons (hammer and Hermes also), the rest are bonus. Losing the first boon will still enable you access to powerful builds onwards.
Not much restriction to god boons, as long as they are useful to you. For me, I like powerful range Cast, so I always pick Zeus's Storm Ring/Lightning Lance (Apollo's Solar Ring, Hestia's Smolder Ring/Glowing Coal) no matter what. Special attack is important but I am fine with anything that is powerful, Poseidon and hammer upgrade are the best, rest are good too.
Chaos boon in area 1 is highly recommended (damage boost, mana reduction, money income, etc.), always spend 1 reroll to have a better option if none in the first time.

5) Keepsakes

Quite keepsake-free unless you are aiming at certain build. I always use Echo's keepsake for the first area to recover from a slow start.

6) Playstyle

Since you have mana regeneration, you can play it slowly as you can regen your hp to 50% at the end of each encounter with the passive ability of Staff of Momus.
Always look for boost for special and cast, then hp cap raise.

Hello everyone,
I am an English teacher at a high school in Colorado and I also instruct a Comic Books elective class. In our final unit, students engage with a tabletop superhero RPG, where they learn the game mechanics, create characters, and design and lead their own adventures.
Selecting an appropriate RPG has been challenging. It needs to be accessible and enjoyable, requiring minimal resources, as we have limited materials available. For instance, "Sentinels of the Multiverse" requires various dice, making it less suitable. "Mutants & Masterminds" is a potential choice due to its simple d20 system, but its complex character creation process is a deterrent. The "Cypher System" and "Prowlers and Paragons" have been considered, with some success in the latter.
Currently, I am exploring the new "Marvel Multiverse RPG", which is attractive due to its brand recognition and only requires three d6s. However, I am eager to hear your suggestions. What RPG would you recommend for a classroom setting that caters to students from 9th to 12th grade, most of whom are new to tabletop RPGs? For context, we have four weeks to complete this unit.

This is general discussion and would love others' thoughts.
Last weekend I refereed a U15 competitive boys tournament. In four games, I issued eight cautions to players (2 for dissent, 1 for UB - SPA, 3 for UB - reckless manner, 1 for UB - lack of respect for the game and 1 for delaying restart).
In the moment, all but the delaying restart were universally accepted by the player, coaches (and dare I say even parents). No real disagreement on them.
However after a couple of the games, the coaches jokingly mentioned how harsh I was. I talked to the field convenor and he said all six previous games (same level, same age) had a combined one YC which was given to a coach, not a player.
Upon reflection, I stand behind all the booking decisions but it does give me pause that players aren't getting consistency between games. And I have AR'd at our top level with our highest graded referees and they too seem hesitant to send players off even in situations that clearly call for it.
I stand behind the notion of "you endorse what you tolerate" but I also question if I'm too severe based on how my peers are calling games.
How do you balance this? And do you feel there's a pressure (real or perceived) to keep cards in your pocket?

I just accepted a new job as the band directomusic teacher in a school that has grades 6-12. It’s a small school (300 in HS and 200 in MS) and they spent the past year without a director, however an English teacher with a music Ed degree kept them playing some at football games and pep rallies. The Middle school though did not survive the year without a director so well, as issues with long term subs and classroom management (as well as lack of experience with music Ed) had the band classes turn into a general music class.
A good thing though is that both of the High School principals are former music teachers (one of them being the previous director), which hopefully will bring support. The schools staff and students are excited to have a director as well.
If you have any advice, please share! These students also do not have elementary school music, so any advice on teaching beginning students with that type of experience would be great.

My team in MyCareer is constantly getting three second violations but if I keep hitting the A button I’m penalized for “excessive asking for the ball.” I sat and watched while my MP wasn’t playing and they don’t get clearly as much as when I’m playing (they don’t get any at all actually, now that I’m thinking about it).
So like am I doing something wrong or is it just game mechanics? Also like, how do I get better? Almost at the all-star break and I’m still averaging a teammate grade of D+.

M22 looking for retail, warehouse, admin, graduate among paralegal and other jobs through company websites indeed, reed, etc after recently completing uni (graduating after receiving final grade in September of this year) in BA (Hons) Criminology, have applied to 150-175 jobs in the past 2 weeks and have gotten 6 interviews all were rejections, i feel like i fucked those up though as I have Asperger's and the process of applying for jobs, form filling, wanking off to the company in the surveys on the sites and emails and generally ritually exterminating brain cells and motivation/excitement to get a job at all at this shit most days a week, 5-6 of 7. The most recent application was to an Aldi in my area within an easily commutable distance 40 min walk or 20 min cycle, for an shop floor assistant, general retail shebang stacking shelves, cleaning, manual handling in back warehouse till work etc, all shit I've done before in previous employment for Sainbury's and nights at a Morrison's petrol station. The interview was 15 mins long, which was promised in their invitation email, the manager was approachable and likable, came across very human through the words he chose and the fact he said at the start he could go through my CV, which he had next to him open on his laptop, and ask bland corporate questions, but that he much prefers getting to know the person he has to consider hiring -- fully agree with this one was very relieved to hear that. He then went on to ask me to describe myself and my hobbies, to which I told him I'm into RPGs, mainly SRPGs because the numbers game is very appealing, levelling up separate units and turn-based combat and that I like marine biology. He responds with interest and deepens with is own insight on Vidya and he says he loves travelling that he went to Japan this year and that he learns the culture of the places he goes to act respectfully to locals and speak their language -- again totally agree that this should be the bare minimum standard for travelling somewhere, especially poignant if you're interacting with the culture or the locals. I ask him where else he plans to travel this year and he says South America, he's planning on exploring the mountain range there and that he dislikes touristy areas. At this point, I'm totally relaxed to be talking with a real person. His next question is "What specifically do you think this role will entail, given your experience in retail already, and can you give examples of skills you have learned from your previous work that can be applied at our store?", and I do just that. He remarked that I had "hit the nail on the head", Again thinking well shit this is going great, feeling so hopeful and happy that the job search might finally be over, especially having the chance to work under this manager who gets how it is? is the best way I can describe the feeling. He then asked his final questions on the speed of the work (told him I prefer working quickly and always having something to do, having the flexibility to switch between departments as and when needed), how many hours I'd be looking to get (advertised hours were part-time, but due to current circumstances and an 88% availability needs improvement checkmark on a board in the staff room, I said I'd be happy with 35-40hrs) and finished with asking how I have dealt with an angry customer before (like every angry customer, take whatever they say, find the root cause of the issue, resolve, if you can't escalate). Shook hands, said our goodbyes at the end of the 15 mins and left, go home feeling confident and happy. 2 days later receive an email from Aldi, rejection: their reasoning was ol reliable too many applicants can't give a reason for your rejection you daft cunt. Spent 3 hours today looking for jobs, barely motivated to move the mouse and type the same thing 8 million more times for entry level jobs. I feel like no matter how hard I try and no matter what I do to my CV, my appearance and trying to mask that it always crumbles away. Why is this the biggest fucking part of being an adult? Why is it done this way? What is the point of doing any of this dogshit apply intervew fail cycle worth? Is this the only way to go about doing this shit? How do you stay sane and confident and happy through this process? I just want to scream or cry or die or something that isnt this insane ridiculous bullshit monotonous task until another job comes around again, then doing it again when I can't take how the workplace is like with every other job I've had before. Hiz first all, im not used to olay ranged champs so i don't really know most of the adc stuff so i will just suggest something from my perspective and i appreciate if someone with more experience correct me if im wrong.
Recently on pvp i was auto filled adc, not my favorite role but i will not complain about it, so i just saw Nilah and i give her a try, long story short, i won, it wasn't my best game, it was fun however. So I tried Nilah for 2 weeks because she has what i love, deals a ton of dmg is "melee" and has engage, it is like this 💍 to me.
However i understand that the main point of Nilah is like play Camille, Corky play safe and take some items, once you get 2-3 items is when you start playing the game properly i have no problems with that but what i do have the proble is the cooldowns, almost 20s for the 2nd and 3rd ability, in my opinion she needs less cooldowns to has better early, because as soon as the enemy is a bit good just will crash waves towards you and harass you until death.
Im not asking Riven cooldowns, but give to her like 12-14s or something.

I remember bringing an axe and tinderbox everywhere so i could conveniently cut down a tree, make a fire, and cook any nearby animals i came across. Also going out into the whole open world of Gielinor and not knowing what to expect, and getting my smithing and mining up so i could craft better gear to survive.
I can't be the only one that thought of this as a 3rd person survival game, right?

An issue I've begun to notice as more weapons have been introduced or changed, many simply are downgrades or are performing their role worse then other weapons. The Liberator Concussive is worse then the Pummeler, the Tenderizer is worse then the Liberator, the Breaker Spray&Pray is worse then the Breaker Incendiary, the Purifier is worse then the Scorcher, the Liberator Penetrator is worst then the Adjudicator, and so much more. The issue is that we have too many weapons performing the same role without diversifying these weapon enough to allow them to perform these roles differently then another. Why change the Exploding Crossbow to a "medium armor killer" type weapon when it offers nothing new that the Dominator, Slugger, and Eruptor already do to fulfil this role? Why change the Adjudicator to a medium armor penetration assault rifle when the Liberator Penetrator already exists? Why add the Tenderizer as a "assault rifle with a restrictive magazine but more stopping power" when that describes the role the Adjudicator already has? Too many weapons have been adjusted, added or changed, causing overlap issues between many weapons, which in turn have weapons be outperformed rather then be a proper side-grade. I understand not wanting to have primary weapons be too powerful, but too many weapons have been made redundant by nerfs, buffs, and changes because of this. Therefore, I wanted to throw out my ideas for weapon changes/balancing. When I was considering weapon balancing, I had four goals:

1. Give each weapon a defined purpose and role
2. Make sure each weapon is an overall side-grade
3. Prioritize making new roles to avoid overlap
4. Try to have some slight realism

With this in mind, I came up with some ideas for all the assault rifles, as I feel like this category has the most issues compared to any other. Keep in mind that I'm 100% no game developer or expert on balancing, so do understand that the stats I came up with are just to give an overall idea and feel of how I think weapon should be, as I have no way to actually test or know if these numbers and ideas are balanced. Any feedback would be appreciated!
AR-23 Liberator

- Damage: 60 - Capacity: 45 - Recoil: 15 - Fire Rate: 640 - Light Armor Penetrating - 7 + 1 Mags - Role: All-around workhorse and baseline weapon 

Notes: The AR-23 Liberator in its current state serves as a perfect baseline when considering balance changes. Strong, reliable, accurate, ammo efficient, multiple firing modes and scope magnifications, it's everything a starter weapon should be and needs no additional changes.
AR-23P Liberator Penetrator

- Damage: 45 - Capacity: 30 - Recoil: 19 - Fire Rate: 640 - Medium Armor Penetrating - 10 + 1 Mags - Role: Takes down armored targets 

NEW STATS

- Damage: 55 - Capacity: 45 - Recoil: 28 - Fire Rate: 500 - Medium Armor Penetrating - 7 + 1 Mags - Reduced Ergonomics - New Role: Heavy assault rifle fitted with armor piercing rounds but has reduced fire rate and increased recoil 

Notes: Oh my poor baby boy, how Arrowhead has treated and abandoned you so. The AR-23P Liberator Penetrator is my favorite looking gun in the game, but from day one has been completely underpowered and underperforms in its role as a medium armor penetration assault rifle. Between its terrible damage, small capacity, and terrible efficiency, the weapon struggled against the competition and the only buff added was the addition to fire in full-auto, which barely did anything to change its lackluster performance. With these new changes, the Penetrator would now become a much stronger option compared to what it was then. First, we increase the damage and capacity to bring it up to it's standard counterpart, as there's no reason why it should have both a low capacity and the lowest damage per shot in the game. However to keep a bit of realism, we'll still have it be weaker as armor piercing rounds tend to have less stopping power for increased penetration power. And second, we give it increased recoil along with reduced fire rate, ergonomics, and spare ammo to compensate for these changes while also leaning into the heavy rifle design and new role it has. With these changes, the Penetrator is more closer to how the Adjudicator is and now should feel more like a side-grade to the standard Liberator, trading in crowd control for better performance against larger armored targets. It'll blast through the likes of Hive Guards, Brood Commanders, and Bile Spewers, but will struggle against groups of Hunters and Berserkers due to its lower fire rate and ergonomics.
AR-61 Tenderizer

- Damage: 60 - Capacity: 35 - Recoil: 10 - Fire Rate: 600 - Light Armor Penetrating - 10 + 1 Mags - Role: High-caliber assault rifle with a restrictive magazine but more stopping power 

NEW STATS

- Damage: 40 - Capacity: 60 - Recoil: 20 - Fire Rate: 720 - Light Armor Penetrating - 7 + 1 Mags - Slightly Reduced Ergonomics - New Role: Rapid-fire high capacity assault rifle with low damage and increased recoil 

Notes: This weapon is too similar to the original Liberator and desperately needs some adjustments. And with the new Penetrator changes from before, we now need to alter this weapons from it's original role to something that's missing from the assault rifles list. Enter the new AR-61 Tenderizer. This weapon is focused on one thing: throwing down as many bullets down range as fast as possible. With a massive capacity and increased fire rate, this weapon is the closest we'll get to having a primary LMG and should be thought of as the Breaker but in assault rifle form. The gun can handle larger crowds and can shred through light armored targets such as Berserkers, Nursing Spewers, Stalkers, and Warriors. However it will eat through ammo quickly, struggle against armored enemies, and isn't particularly precise so it'll be difficult to hit the weak points of certain enemies such as Devastators. It certainly won't replace a Stalwart, but you'll still get the lovely feeling of unloading a torrent of bullets upon the enemies of democracy all the same. It also doesn't replace the Breaker either, as while the Breaker can unload into a group indiscriminately and tear through hordes faster, the Tenderizer has better range and has more control over the area where their shots will land.
AR-23C Concussive

- Damage: 65 - Capacity: 30 - Recoil: 28 - Fire Rate: 320 - Light Armor Penetrating - 10 + 1 Mags - Role: Fires concussive rounds that do less damage but stagger enemies 

NEW STATS

- Damage: 55 - Capacity: 35 - Recoil: 28 - Fire Rate: 400 - Light Armor Penetrating - 9 + 1 Mags - Concussive rounds explosions have a small AOE, allowing for stagger of several enemies close together per shot - Explosions deal no damage and purely stagger. Helldivers hit by the concussive explosions will suffer from a depletion of stamina and a slow effect that fades after a few seconds - New Role: Fires concussive rounds at a slower fire rate that do less damage, but can stagger several enemies 

Notes: With the release of the new Pummeler SMG, the AR-23C Concussive has been made completely redundant in almost every way. Because of this, we have two options: nerf the Punisher or buff the Concussive. I choose the latter, and so this is what we get. As the concussive rounds are stated to do less damage, we'll first sightly nerf the damage to make this accurate. Second, we slightly increase the capacity and give a small bump to its fire rate to make it a bit more usable, while also taking away a spare mag to compensate. And now onto the big addition to differentiate it from the Punisher: AOE stagger. While the Punisher has higher damage and better single target capabilities, the new Concussive has lower damage but can hold off several enemies at once with AOE concussive rounds. This allows the Concussive to have two roles: A support role for your team that can slow the advance of groups of enemies, and a weapon that provides a safe but slow way of killing enemies when by yourself. Of course, the weapon isn't meant to hold back a bug breach or anything. The AOE is meant to be small and not be a "get out of jail free card". If your surrounded, you'll still die horribly and the AOE will cause an effect similar to the "Tremor" environmental effect when hitting yourself or allies with the concussive blast (depletion of stamina and slow effect that fades after a few seconds), but it can stagger a few of those Berserkers or Hive Commanders chasing after your friend to give them some breathing room, or hold back those two Stalkers sneaking up on your fellow Helldiver while they reload their Autocannon. It won't kill, but your fellow Helldivers will thank you when you save them from danger.
BR-14 Adjudicator

- Damage: 80 - Capacity: 25 - Recoil: 40 - Fire Rate: 550 - Medium Armor Penetrating - 7 + 1 Mags - Role: Accurate, medium armor penetrating rifle with limited effectiveness against large groups 

NEW STATS

- Damage: 90 - Capacity: 25 - Recoil: 40 - Fire Rate: 480 - Light Armor Penetrating - 7 + 1 Mags - Changed to Marksman Rifle Classification - Semi-auto/3-Round Burst only - New Role: Accurate, light armor penetrating rifle that trades damage for improved effectiveness against large groups 

Notes: The change to the BR-14 Adjudicator from a Marksman Rifle to a Assault Rifle never really sat well with me, especially because it ended up being everything the Penetrator was supposed to be and still wasn't great. In the real world, a battle rifle tend to sit somewhere between assault rifles and designated marksman rifles, though they usually are closer to marksman rifles. Notable examples are the FN FAL, M14, and Heckler & Koch G3. With this in mind, figuring out how to balance the rifle is a bit tricky. I wanted it to have higher single target damage then Assault Rifles to move it away from that role, while also having better crowd control then the Diligence to give it a new role the Marksman Rifle category lacks. First, we increase the damage and recoil slightly while reducing the fire rate to move it more towards being a marksman rifle. Second, we change it from medium armor penetration to light armor penetration. We don't want it to compete with the Penetrator or Counter Snipe, but instead want it to be a faster firing but lighter hitting option for the Marksman Rifle category. Finally, we remove the full auto firing option and replace it with a 3-round burst option as while there are battle rifles that do have a full auto setting in the real world, it's usually extremely impractical due to the immense recoil, though I'll admit keeping the full-auto feels like something that would be done in-universe. With these final changes, we now have true battle rifle that bridges the gap between assault rifles and marksman rifles. Want the crowd control of an assault rifle, but the high damage of a marksman rifle? This is the weapon for you.
SG-225SP Breaker Spray&Pray

- Damage: 192 (12 Damage per pellet) - Capacity: 26 - Recoil: 45 - Fire Rate: 330 - Light Armor Penetrating - 7 + 1 Magazines - 16 Pellets per shot - Role: High capacity shotgun firing birdshot 

NEW STATS

- Damage: 420 (12 Damage per pellet) - Capacity: 24 - Recoil: 40 - Fire Rate: 350 - Light Armor Penetrating - 6 + 1 Magazines - 35 Pellets per shot - Increased spread - Role: High capacity shotgun firing birdshot that was designed with "accuracy by volume of fire" in mind 

Notes: A fun little bonus addition to this list. The SG-225SP Breaker Spray&Pray is a bit notorious for being a direct downgrade from the Breaker Incendiary after it got buffed. Therefore, in the spirit of democracy and fun, I came up with these changes. In real life, bird shot is quite weak, has huge spread, and a single shell can have upwards of 70+ pellets in them to maximize the chances of hitting a bird in flight. While the idea would be really funny, having the game calculate the trajectory and impact of 70 individual projectiles from just one player would be a lot for the game to do, and each pellet would have to do around 5-6 damage each with an enormous spread to be balanced, so this is the next best thing I came up with. The new Spray&Pray is designed to litter a battlefield with a hail of pellets, encouraging the user to indiscriminately fire in whatever direction the enemy is in. It's inaccurate, will likely not land more then 6 pellets on the same target unless your up close, and will likely hit your allies if they're anywhere in the direction your firing, but that's the entire point. This is for the insane, the wacky, those who truly embody the chaotic nature of Helldivers and want a fun gun. You close your eyes, pull the trigger, and blindly fire into a bug breach knowing Lady Liberty guides your every shot.

Hi everyone, I'm trying to find a computer game from the early- to mid-90s that I remember playing as a kid on one of the computers in my first grade classroom. (I don't remember whether the computer in question was a Mac or Windows, and since some of the computers we had in that classroom were dated even for that era, it's also possible it was something else, like a Commodore 64.) The player character was an electrician trying to fix a power outage in a city, and the gameplay involved navigating through a maze leading to the "Master Switch" that would turn the power back on. As you explored the maze you would find various items, and then you had to figure out which item you needed to use to get past an obstacle that was blocking the Master Switch. The obstacle was different each time, and was always something goofy – the two examples I remember were "a thirsty monster" and "a stuffy nose." You got past the thirsty monster by using a blender you found in the maze to make a milkshake for them, but I don't remember how you got past the stuffy nose. (Maybe you found a handkerchief in the maze?) Anyway, I've been wondering about this game ever since, so I was hoping someone here might be able to identify it!

So I am newer to FM and have started my second team as Veliz in Argentina having begun unemployed (not sure I did everything correctly, but that's where I'm at). I was given a transfer budget of exactly $0. I'm doing all right, 3rd place 8 matches in, but I need to figure out the scouting piece of the game. Specifically, need to figure out the youth academy piece since I can't transfer any players in. Any help/ recommendations on how to get that established? I've figured out a good portion of the early stages of the game so far, but really lacking/ not understanding the scouting piece

My friend has played 2 games and is at 1160, but I played one game (we came in 3rd) and I started at 560.

Trigger warning bullying. This isn't really related to Nancy Drew games although it kind of is I guess. I have been playing Nancy Drew games since I was ten/eleven years old. I have shared about some memories here that I really cherish.
I had a best friend in my life that I had known for about twenty years or so. We met in fifth grade and stayed best friends until two years ago. I introduced her to the Nancy Drew games when we were kids.
I ended up having to end the friendship because of how she treated me. She was very unkind and I didn't recognize the abuse for what it was until I was in my thirties.
I have been trying to get back into playing the games that I played and I am remembering how she said I was dumb/stupid and how we had to look up guides and walkthroughs to figure them out. I was trying to play the final scene a few nights ago and could not continue playing it because I am remembering how I was treated when I played these games.
I don't know what to do. I know that I should probably get therapy for it. Is this going to happen every time i want to play a game that we both shared?

Currently on my 3rd play through of Elden Ring. I love the game and it's so amazing finding new areas and items that I've not found on my 1st or 2nd run.
The sheer variety of weapons to choose from with different abilities and move sets is incredible. It really is one of my favorite parts of this game. I actually did a google search just now and found that "As of July 2023, Elden Ring has 308 weapons".
One thing that is driving me nuts though is that I find alllllllll these weapons but end up only using maybe 3 or 4 max in the entire play through simply because I don't want to put in the time to farm the smithing stones to upgrade each weapon.
Does anyone else feel this way? So many weapons out there to try and experiment with but simply avoiding them because upgrading them to your current weapon level is a herculean task.

I'm almost done with high school and finally get to move away, thank god. As much as I like being alone I'm so scared of the world (not adulting, just the actual world) and feel like I belong absolutely nowhere. Parties are evil, don't talk to x person they have green hair, "look what she's wearing, stay away from her". I know a lot of things my parents engrained in me are irrational and I'm very aware how stupid it is, but I feel like an imposter walking around and it's only a matter of time before everyone realizes I'm literally just a kid that never grew up in an adult's body. I've never done anything and I have no childhood memories. Everything is so scary. Even talking to a single person. I legitimately expect them to leave me with no warning. If they invited me to hang out with them I would be hypervigilant about the environment we're in, making sure they don't do anything "bad" or use "bad words" (Yeah, I'm messed up... but I wanna stress the difference between me not actually caring what they do and knowing it's fine, versus knowing my parents would be flipping out and feeling an awful combination of shame and guilt and fear).
My family never tolerated anything. I wasn't allowed to have social media my entire life, so I couldn't really connect with anyone at school. No sleepovers ever, and I have to be tracked on my phone all the time. Therapy is bad, animal rights are pointless, sex is not okay and you're more noble than everyone else if you don't care about it (wtf..). Wasn't allowed to watch Harry Potter until I was 16 and Netflix was never allowed in the house. I downloaded a free shooter game on my PC once, my mom found it while snooping, and she flipped out. The clothes I was allowed to wear up until high school literally made me look like a little boy. My sister still has to go to school wearing almost knee length shorts and it looks so bad. I was never really shown basic hygiene stuff like showering everyday, needing to brush your teeth twice a day, etc. Never even suggested I wear deodorant until I was 13/14, I didn't even know people were walking around wearing it and that's why they didn't smell so bad. My parents just kind of let me figure it out. I looked really bad in middle school and in 7th grade I sat down at a table with people that usually let me sit with them, but that day they all just got up and left at the same time and everybody saw it.
My social anxiety is through the roof from isolating myself so much. I remember one day in high school I kind of made a friend and she told me where she sat at lunch, so I went to find her. As soon as I stepped into the lunch room I just wanted to run back out because the anxiety I got was so intense. All these people probably hate me. They're better than me. They have more friends than I do. They have a more interesting life than I do. Now imagine feeling that same feeling when you walk past a single person your age in public. I wish I never existed.
I feel like my life has been set back a decade or two, and that's only the best case scenario if I try really hard to catch up. I'm glad I'm never coming back, but I'm also so depressed right now. Everyone gets to be normal except for me.

I'm on my 3rd season in the game and I managed to get Dartford promoted back to back and we are now in Sky Bet League 2, part of me doesn't want to be in a relegation battle or to finish mid-table for the next 5+ seasons due to the fact that our finances are basically non existent compared to others around us. As much as I would love to stay and try to get them to the PL I know that it's probably near impossible. What should I do? I eventually want to manage the top clubs in the world.

There was this PC game that I used to play at a friend's house that always enters my mind from time to time.
The premise was a RTS style game but the twist was that you could zoom down and control individual characters during your game. I'm not 100% sure if it was a true RTS but I remember base building elements and battle mechanics.
The zoom was complete, meaning that you could zoom up to a RTS view and all the way down to the battle and everything in between.
The individual control was 3rd person. You had vehicles and the bases were pretty far apart so it required vehicles for most the units.
The theme was sci fi and the map was pretty sparse, the only real terrain was mountain features usually plateaus that you couldn't access.
The color scheme was very purple pretty much only shades of purple.
The PC that ran it wasn't a off the shelf PC so I would say that the system requirements were higher then the normal of the time.
The game was single player.

Hi gang! I just started my first week of t and I wanted to gush to someone in my age bracket and maybe gain some perspective on being an older ftm guy.
I've been dreading my 30s for... years now. Last year, when I turned 29, I finally decided I wanted to start the next decade of my life as a guy, but put the process off because I didn't even have a PCP.
Anyway, now that I'm halfway to my 30th (and the fear is setting in), I finally took a friend's advice and went in for a consultation at a trans clinic expecting fück all (living in a red state). I had an awesome experience with the doc and literally left with a t script the same day. It was genuinely SO validating to have someone trust that I'm nearly 30 and know what I want. I've been so used to (as a former young woman) hearing the dreaded "Why? Are you sure?" from doctors to the most banal stuff (shoutout to the doc who refused to check my iron levels because "all women think they have anemia but they never do"). The only question this doc asked me was "How long have you wanted to start t?" and found my "6 months" to be sufficient. For the first time EVER I felt happy to be 29 and finally be deemed 'old enough' to make my own decisions and be taken seriously.
(But if I'm being real, in like 6th grade I went to a girl's summer camp and told everyone a boy's name instead of my yucky girl one and had a very blissful 3 weeks of feeling giddy every time someone addressed me, but that's not relevant.)
My app was on a Tuesday, I got my t shot on Friday, and the wildest thing is, I don't have such a deep and profound dread of turning 30 anymore? I'm excited to see the changes I'll have by the time I'm 40, 50, which is so shocking to me because I've spent the last 3 years pretending I'm still 24. I just feel so EXCITED for my future, which I have not felt in YEARS. And the timing works out perfectly because by my b-day, I'll have been on t for 6 moths and will, as desired, start my 3rd decade as a guy.

So, rambling aside, guys who started later in life, what's something you're looking forward to in your 30s and 40s? And guys who are already in their late 30s/40s, what was the best change that came with aging? What do I have to look forward to? (Even if that involves balding.)

Now around 2022-2023 I was in 11th grade. I was a transfer student during pandemic so there were no face to face classes so you could tell I knew no one. And I have social anxiety I could not make the first move. I'll get straight to the story
So I got to know this friend group, (I couldn't speak their dialect at the time) I often feel left out because they always stick together. Even when we ate at the same table. It feels like I was invisible. They would reminisce memories that only they could relate. I would try to join in but In the end I couldn't understand anything.
They would share answers with one another during tests and leave me out and then when they see I knew the answers they would ask me for it...yeah I gave them answers but when I would ask it was always "Wait" "Hold on" and they would give it to me when the teacher is already collecting the paper. Or they wouldn't give me answers at all. But when they ask yeah I would give it to them.
Another thing I didn't like was one of them liked to make me a laughing stock. I couldn't speak or pronounce words properly in their language ñ but I wanted to learn, I wanted to try. But she kept making fun of me (it would've been fine if it was just the two of us but she kept sharing it to other people I don't know or am not close with and felt embarrassed) I eventually stopped trying to learn because I was scared of being made fun of again
Another one was when we played Truth or dare, during the game it was agreed what truths came out stays within us. They asked who my crush was so I said it. Little did I know it was spread to the whole classroom. (THANK GHOD MY CRUSH WAS IN A DIFFERENT YEAR LEVEL)
Around that time I started getting close with my members in RCY (Red Cross Youth) Organization in my school. They made me feel different? In a good way. I felt belonged they would ask me things they would teach me without making fun of me. You could say I felt comfortable, that was also where I met my crush. I was closest to him than the rest.
So every lunch, instead of eating with them (first friend group) I started eating with my second group more and more often. I never felt more happy in my life. I even ended up just chatting with my crush on my phone 24/7. Even when my first friend group tries talking to me, I would reply but most of the time I didn't bother paying attention since they never bothered to include me well.
And then after the spring break things got worse that got my mental health in decline. The whole first friend group didn't want to talk to me at all, they ignored me completely and I knew they had a GC without me. They didn't want to sit with me, talk to me, or even look at me. I tried and tried to chat or even talk to them.
I cried and ranted it towards my crush and he told me I didn't do anything wrong. But I felt like I did something wrong.
I chatted a mutual friend about it and she told me I was ignoring them and wasn't paying attention to them and should apologize.
I was baffled.
I was sobbing because they did that to me first??? They made fun of me, made me feel left out and they were annoyed when my voice gets too loud (I have impaired hearing sometimes I don't even know how loud my voice is) they just irritatley tell me to be quiet. (My other friend group would just softly remind me that my voice was getting loud and ask me to adjust it which is the approach I like)
And the worst thing is it's 5 vs 1, I felt completely alone and I didn't do anything. Even when I got close with my second friend group I would still talk and reply to them just not as much. But they just decided to ignore me and they look at me as if they want to burn me.
In the end I was the one who apologized
Did things get better? No history just repeated itself
One day I could not breathe at all during practice, it was obvious and I was blacking out, NONE of them helped me or called for help at all. And I ranted about it in a post and one of them posted as well saying "Why does it seem like it's our fault"
I honestly helped them a lot ESPECIALLY the person who posted it as she always had migraines, she didn't even need to say anything and I'd give her what he needed.
And the mutual friend said that it was me who was in the wrong because I didn't say anything. Girl what do you expect me to do my vision was blurry as heck and my lungs are tightening up I couldn't breathe at all and you saying I should've talked to them in that situation where anyone with eyes could see that person can't breathe. And also it happened unexpectedly and immediately.
And then I was always the one left alone, with no one wanted to seat beside me as they want to seat with someone else and I would always be left alone. and when we pick who we want as group mates they would secure themselves then pick others they like and when I ask to join it's "oh sorry we're full" even if they needed one more member left they'd tell me they were complete.
I slowly distanced myself from them and cut off communication
This year I was no longer classmates with them and was very free. I didn't have friends in my classroom but it was fine I didn't have to feel left out and unimportant from the ex friend group. I cut all communication.
It was fine, being lonely is better than feeling left out in a group. It was tolerable since me and my crush would talk every day even through chat.
