I’ve had an amazing experience so far on semaglutide. Minimal side effects: some nausea the first few weeks, processed/greasy food sensitivity now but all in all very manageable.
First injection: February 22nd
Right around week 11, I received the follow-up survey email for my refill. My provider requested to meet with me. On May 6th I had my appointment and on May 9th my refill was delivered. I’m still finishing my first vial of medication which seems to have about 2 weeks worth of doses left.

Does anybody else use strict discipline and strong conscious effort to compensate for their DCD/Dyspraxia?
I (26M) am very clumsy, obviously, and I really, really hate to mess up; it doesn't help that I have Generalized Anxiety Disorder as well, so there's a strong fear of failure. So I put in a lot of effort to prevent said failure.
When I'm walking down the stairs, I concentrate on placing my feet well; I don't allow glasses or cups to be placed near the edge of a table; I make sure that any hallway or stairs is tripping hazard free; I sort every cupboard, the refrigirator and everything similar in a way that minimizes risk of things falling; I obsessively close drawers, cupboards, closets and doors, and make sure chairs are properly under the table if applicable; I firmly grasp everything I'm carrying; etc,
And I demand everyone around me stick to the same rules of keeping everything sorted well in a safe way, nicely at first, but if they keep ignoring my requests, I go for angrily demanding. And I know that's not desired, but if I fall because some nitwit put their clothes or something on the stairs, or a box in the hallway, believe me, I will get absolutely furious with them, not to mention any risk of injury there.
Yeah, I can get quite demanding on that front, but it's genuinely necessary for my own safety and, especially, my own sanity, and it's not that much effort for other people*.
I wouldn't say it's a good idea to live like this, I just have to. I'm very tall and heavy, and if I fall, I get hurt; I already have permanently fucked up my left wrist with a single fall, and I will put in a lot of effort to prevent further injuries, if possible.
A lot of people don't realize just how clusmy I am from the DCD, because I put in so much effort to prevent it form being a problem; until I have to do a task I'm not familiar with or just fail to concentrate, then, suddenly, insecurities and fuck ups happen immediately, people are surprised to see it and I get very frustrated with myself; because, as much I demand from others, I demand even more from myself. Not a healthy way to deal with this, I know.
*side note: this is why I occasionally struggle with dealing with people with ADHD, because they often struggle to meet my demands. No fault of their own, but it can be very frustrating when my sister creates tripping hazards in a hallway I am very familiar with, meaning I don't pay attention when walking through it. Though to be honest, if she chooses to stop taking her medication because "it's fine" and "she doesn't need it anymore", which she did, then I do feel it is partly her fault.

I used booking.com to book a round-trip from Helsinki to Amman. First a layover in Zurich on the way to Amman and then a layover in Stockholm on the way back to Helsinki, so 4 flights in total, all in the same booking.
The flights are operated by three different airlines and only one of the four flights (Zurich-Amman by Royal Jordanian) was cancelled. I then got an email from Booking.com saying that the whole booking has been cancelled and the only option they gave was to request for a refund, so that's what I did.
I'm confused why we weren't offered another flight or route to compensate for the cancelled flight, because I looked up flights from Helsinki to Amman and there's multiple options with the same schedule and same airline, just with different layovers (for example Paris, Frankfurt and London). Just seems off that they cancelled the whole booking when only one flight out of four was actually cancelled...
So all in all, my question is: Can I trust that we will get a full refund for the whole booking even though the other 3 flights (two of those are by different airlines) weren't originally cancelled? Basically what I am scared of is that the other airlines won't agree to a refund because their flights were still scheduled to take off. Even though I didn't cancel anything, the third party/Royal Jordanian cancelled the whole booking because of one cancelled flight. Pretty tight on money and we're scared to buy new tickets if for some reason we don't get a full refund so I'm hoping someone has some experience and knowledge on the topic.
And yes, I have called and contacted booking.com multiple times and they told me the refund process has begun and they've sent refund requests to the airlines on our behalf. And I read that the EU law says that if an outbound flight operated by a different airline gets cancelled, we have the right to a full refund as long as the flights are in the same booking. BUT I just want to be 100% sure before getting new tickets. Hope this was explained well enough.

I have worked from home full time since I started with this company. I have gone through so many managers, I have been with this company longer than most people in our department. I got pregnant last year and they were very flexible with all of my appointments and making sure I was comfortable… until they weren’t. They were having me work 10+ hour days, late in my pregnancy being high risk. I inevitably got preeclampsia and had to give birth a bit early.

I take care of her full time, I have nobody to help me. I talked to someone last year on my team that works a different schedule and has been for years with no problem. That schedule seemed best for me too, so upon my return I let my boss know I would like to work that schedule.
She agreed and said it would be good because I could do early morning coverage and the other person can handle the rest of the day, perfect! But since then Ive been asked multiple times when I’m going back to a regular schedule. So much for flexibility… there is absolutely no reason I need to work typical hours as there is someone else on my team that can cover the rest of the day. It’s only a few hours.
Now they are booking meetings outside of my work time, during my baby’s feeding time, so my husband is having to leave his job to come home and feed her and then go back. Asking me to work late to cover the other lady because she has appointments, they did not do this to the other girl with the same schedule.
Since returning from work, I have been unofficially demoted, micromanaged and beat down. I’m exhausted, I have always worked hard for this company. I for many years was doing the work of multiple people. I only got help because I begged and was going on maternity leave. My new coworker seems to think she’s my manager but I digress.
I really need this job as it provides our health insurance and I live in a HCOL area so we can’t be without my income. I have no help with our baby so I need to be home and daycare is too expensive where I live. I feel like I’m losing it.
It’s funny how a company describes itself as flexible and family oriented but when it comes down to it, they are neither. Since my return I feel like I am being dealt with for having a baby.

I started a job 2 months ago in PR. This role was a huge step up in my career and I was thrilled. My team seemed great and the schedule was hybrid with majority remote. That’s all changed now.
A senior employee (44) who oversees me (28) seemed really cool at first. Shortly after me starting, she changed. There’s times she talks to me in a passive tone, ignores my ideas, and talks to me like I’m a child (literally).
This week, I asked to meet with my boss to discuss a schedule for my son who will be on summer break. I was NEVER (not once) given a set schedule nor expectations of days to be in. I asked numerous times. Naturally, I followed my teams suit which is 1-2x in person. Well, boss/sr employee met with me and said they want me in office 3x a week since I’m new. That’s no issue… had I been given expectations when starting. I assumed the flexibility would allow me to be home during the summer more.
Now I’m scrambling to find child care and everything is full. I asked my boss if she would be willing to 2x a week due to this situation and she got upset with me and firmly told me “We like you but we need to find a solution. At the end of the day, this is a business.” — to add, during onboarding they all joked about how often I went in person at my old job and I have it made now.
I’m very upset and overwhelmed. I feel like they did a 180°. I’m timid and hate confrontation. They both seem annoyed with me. I want to quit 😭

I have atypical CF, am pancreatic sufficient, and no CFRD. for the past 2-3 years I’ve been having episodes that seem to mimic postprandial hypoglycemia but my levels are always above 70. I’ve had a few fasting readings that are 67-69 but I don’t have any symptoms then. The symptoms start within an hour or so of eating and my levels will be 70-80 but get to 100ish 3-4 hours after eating, which does make me nervous that something insulin related is going on. My blood pressure is normal but tends to be on the low side as well.
The episodes mostly correspond with the 7-12 days before my period but it’s not uncommon for them to happen outside of that range. The symptoms are: - high heart rate (130-150) even if at rest - shaking - sweating - confusion (including slurring/stammering and switching words around) - weird tingly rising feeling inside - mouth tastes like sand/ash regardless of food or drink - pallor - certain edges blur in my vision; like where the walls meet the ceiling or floors. - more frequent urination with lower output
There are a few things that don’t happen every time I have an episode but have happened more than once: - Pain behind eyes - intense headache that disappears quickly
I’ve tried adjusting my diet in every way I can think of (and GI and nutrition have suggested) and nothing really seems to have an impact. Drinking sugar during/after an episode does help a bit but not by much.
My CF team seems to kind of be at a loss. All of my bloodwork is normal, weight and PFTs are fine. They’re sending me to a gynecologist because of how the episodes tend to correspond with my period. I am also seeing my PCP to get my heart checked soon.
I know it could end up being unrelated to CF but I wanted to see if anyone has had any similar experiences? I have a check up appointment soon and I wanted to see if anyone has any suggestions for other questions or specific testing requests that I can ask my doctors for to help figure this out.
