Let's preface by saying that I love him, I don't want to leave him but I can't keep seeing the man I love killing himself for a company that doesn't value him.
My husband got promoted to Sales Director last year, and we were very happy about it at first. But then his life (and my own) became hell. The company is struggling and is dealing with numerous lawsuit from clients. My husband knew nothing of this when he was brought on as Director.
He works every single fucking day from 8AM and comes home late, even past midnight. Often he works full Saturdays as well. He has lost weight and his hair is already graying. One night he didn't come back home and I panicked. I called his company and they wouldn't tell me where he was. He reached out to me around midday and I learned he had been hospitalized for heart palpitations. Doctors advise him to take more exams because he risks an heart attack.
He is just 36 but looks ten years older. His company uses and abuses him (I heard him talking to his bosses on phone calls, the way those people talk to him...) and he is too beaten down to leave. I'm friend with his deputy director (funny thing, I suspected they were having an affair at first, but she became a great friend for me) and she's actively looking to leave.
We tried to drill this into my husband, to no avail. I have been polite, I have been rude, now I'm just done. I don't want to watch him die.
I gave him the ultimatum: quit this fucking job or I am gone. He is worried about the money, but I work and I can be the breadwinner while he recuperates and looks for a new job. He seemingly took me seriously but for now has not quit, he has taken sick days. And he has really fallen sick now.
I can't take this anymore. I love this man, and I am watching him kill himself for people that wouldn't piss on him if he was on fire.

Here's the plan. Tonight his deputy will come over and we will draft their resignations. I decided to take this off my husband's hands, I am quitting his job for him.
We won't forward the resignations right away because first I want to collect proof of the mistreatment and psychological abuse. If my husband gets better I will be all too happy to forget about those people.
But if he has a heart attack or dies, I am suing the crap out of them. I am sitting beside him, he's been sleeping nonstop and I check he's breathing because I am so fucking scared he might die in his sleep. Doctor said it's just a fever but if he's not getting better by tomorrow I am taking him to the hospital.
Those people are killing him.

I thought on it and I am convinced that if I leave, he might literally die, so I decided to take the situation in my hands.
Tonight his deputy director came over and we drafted my husband's and her resignations. We decided to not submit them right away, but to use their emails and accounts to find proof of the company's mistreatments and abuses. They had him work 16 hours a day and pressured him to the point of giving him heart problems. Now he has taken sick leave and barely get out of bed, he just sleeps and I have to check he's breathing because at this point I am scared he might die in his sleep.
The doctor said it's just a fever but there's also physical and mental exhaustion, and he needs to rest. I wake him up to get him to drink some water and eat something. I have to help him get up and walk to the bathroom. Tonight I made it clear he is not going back to the job, and he agreed. His deputy director spoke with him too and told him hearsay is that the company is going to collapse and close down by next fall, so they need to get out now.
There's not much to add. I spent the evening with her and we wrote the resignations and went through his emails, but we didn't find much. I broke down a bit and cried on her shoulder, I am so bottled up I needed to let some out.
That's all for now. I wish to thank everyone whom gave me advice and compassion for our situation. I will be taking care of my husband but I am so angry and sad. Those people destroyed the man of my life,I want to be hopeful but I'm not sure he will go back to how he was before.

You are right, but he can't hear you right now. Keep pushing. Would it help to have the deputy come over, and they both agree to leave? It's possible they are (appropriately) close (possibly trauma bonded) and he doesn't want to leave her behind.OOP

Best wishes that you can both recover from this. He will need to recover his health and figure out why he was complacent in their abuse. You will have to figure out how to trust your husband not to martyr himself again. I hope you can both heal and perhaps get some counseling.OOP

So I recently got reminded of how my birth went. Basically, when I was still in the womb, the doctor checked my sex and thought I was a female, so my parents came up with female names for me. Then, when I was born, I turned up a biological male.
The doctor was right all along, they were just off by 16-17 years. I am definitely a girl!
Oh, also, I do know the name they planned to call me. May make it my new name, we'll see.

Hello I am 26, 5'4 and now weigh around 170. I have been experiencing some symptons that fall in line with PCOS, my gyno thinks that I have PCOS and sent me to get an ultrasound but i'm not sure if these results indicate that I have it. For some context, I keep gaining weight (even when working out 2-3x a week and eating fairly healthy), I don't have irregular periods but have been experiencing some spotting the past few months as well as some pelvic discomfort. I have also gotten acne for the first time in my life over the past few months and dealing with patches of excessively dry skin. From the bloodwork I've gotten, i have high glucose levels (borderline pre-diabetic, according to doctor),and elevated tsh and prolactin.
The results from the ultrasound don't seem to mention any polycystic ovaries... does this mean i don't have PCOS?
TRANSABDOMINAL: Uterus: Measures 6.5 cmx3.5 cmx.3.8 cm. No focal myometrial abnormality.
TRANSVAGINAL: Endometrium: Measures0.8 cm. There is a subtle 0.8 cm area of decreasedechogenicity in the endometrium. Within this area, there is a stalk ofcolor Doppler flow that has an arterial waveform on spectral imaging.
Right ovary: Measures 3.4 cmx1.6 cmx2.7 cm; ovarian volume: 7.6 ml.Normal in size acoustic texture and echogenicity.
Left ovary: Measures 2.5 cmx1.0 cmx1.8 cm; ovarian volume: 2.3 ml. Normalin size acoustic texture and echogenicity.
Cul-de-sac: Trace free pelvic fluid is physiologic in volume.
Doppler exam: Both color and spectral Doppler imaging was performed.Waveform analysis shows normal arterial inflow and venous outflow in both ovaries.
Any help would be appreciated. I am really struggling to figure out what is going on with my body.

This is my first ever Reddit post and I’m posting to see some fresh perspectives. Any advice or help is welcome. Thank you.
I’ve been in a relationship for over 2 years now, and I can honestly say it has been the best time of my life. This woman helped me find myself and helped shape me into the man I am today. She always tries her best to listen to my problems, but lately I’ve been getting the feeling it’s too much for her. Which is why I’ve came to Reddit for help. (I’ve talked with my parents and a school therapist about this as well)
I’ve always had problems with anxiety. Ever since I was little I’ve cared far too much about what people think of me. It’s a problem that’s kind of taken a backseat these past few years, but has recently come up in a bunch of different ways. For around 7 months now, my relationship has been hindered by my chronic overthinking, 100% of the time wondering where she is and what she’s doing. I know that I can’t always know this, as that is controlling behavior, but it still upsets me deeply. Every scenario, such as being active on social media at the same time as guys I’m uncomfortable with, or not answering my texts when she is active on that app, makes me panic a bit. Instead of logically assuming she’s answering somebody else or just hasn’t opened my text yet, I always find the most catastrophic situation possible, like cheating. Even as I’m writing this, I’m wondering what guys she could be texting at that moment. I often have to talk to my girlfriend about these issues, and I often take her feelings for granted and I think it’s draining her to the point where I don’t think she can handle this as long as she thinks she can.
Let me give you an example of my head (For context, my girlfriend has just graduated and I am still in school.)
A couple of days ago, I was sitting in class with the knowledge that my girlfriend was going to be hanging out playing sports with her best friend (F) and a couple of guys, all of whom are her classmates. I end up learning that her best friend decided to stay at home, leaving her and these guys. I then learn that they are all planning on getting food at a restaurant in a neighboring tow. They get food, come back, then I learn that they are again playing sports, and after that is done, my girlfriend gives one of the guys a ride home as he does not have a car. Through no fault of my girlfriend, I’m learning all this new stuff through gapped texts, partly due to connection issues.
To most, this is just a normal day with nothing that could have happened. But my mind is not so simple. Let me take you through my thought process throughout the day.
First, let me go over one of her friends in particular, Fred (name change ofc). Fred has exhibited odd behavior since the start of the school year towards me and my girlfriend, and I don’t know if I’m justified in saying he has a crush on her. Please give me your thoughts. To my face Fred has called her the most beautiful girl in the school, knowing she was my girlfriend. He mentions her in class to me whenever he can bring her up, often unnecessarily. He sends her songs to listen to, and starts unnecessary text conversations stemming from questions he or she asked. Just after they got done as a group, he immediately sends her a video of a song and tries to initiate conversation, which she tries her best to shut down. After trying to shut it down, he then asks her if she’d want to get a group together and hang out again. How do you think me and my girlfriend should handle the situation? Any attempt at telling her anything about it makes me feel controlling and manipulative.
For context, Fred happens to be the friend my girlfriend drove home.
Back to the example, me learning that her female best friend was not there made me feel as if something was instantly going on, or that she planned this on purpose to be alone with Fred. Then when I learn she’s getting lunch with the guys, I feel as if she’s letting me go, while also wondering if she’s sitting next to Fred on the ride there. While they’re eating, I’m thinking about who she’s sitting next to and why it’s taking them so long to eat. When they return from the restaurant and are playing sports again I freak out wondering if this was her choice and if she’s using this as an excuse to be close to Fred or some guy that’s there now I don’t know about. By this point I’m out of school and at home, where I am trying to text her, but because she’s playing sports, she’s not answering her phone. Instead of thinking this, my already full head assumes something more is going on or that she’s not answering on purpose cause she knows I’m freaking out. By this point, Im in full panic mode, checking her location as often as possible, and after a short break, I see she is at Fred’s house. Her location is pinged there longer than it normally should be, and this just about sends me over the edge. Images of them kissing in the car or laughing while having good conversation pop into my head, and at this point there’s nothing I can do to stop it. I text her asking her what she’s doing, trying to almost set her up for a lie or expect the worst answer. When I do confront her about her location being there, she gives me a very logical, yet not complete answer, still allowing my mind to run free and wild. Looking back on it I honestly handled the situation very toxically, but in the moment I had no better ideas. Please tell me how I can react to these situations more calmly. I’d like to point out I’ve never outright accused her of cheating on me, but I have told her when it seems like at least a semi-rational scenario(even if it’s not).
So yeah, that’s what my brain thought of a seemingly normal day for my girlfriend was like. Please feel free to give suggestions on how I can change my behavior effectively. Also tell me if you think my girlfriend can change her behavior to help me.
These snowballing thoughts happen from the tiniest of things, and I need help stopping them before they begin. One of my main concerns is a trip my girlfriend is taking this summer, which includes Fred. There’s a high likelihood I’ll never see Fred again after this trip, and I’m worried he’ll make his move. I would love to say I trust my girlfriend, but in all honesty, for no reason at all I can’t trust her. She’s given me 0 reason to not trust her, and honestly I’m more scared of him making a move than her accepting it.
I’ve put thought into this, and I have 2 reasons. 1. Self-Confidence I am not ugly by any means, but lately because of my issues and changing appearance,I think I’ve started to get worried on whether or not I’m good enough for my girlfriend. 2. Fear of Loss One of the causes for lack of trust could be that I’m scared of losing her. Meaning I don’t want to completely latch onto her in case she hurts me. But I also feel Ive latched onto her too tight in other aspects of our relationship.
I know this post is extremely long, and I don’t think this encompasses everything I’m dealing with, so if you need more context feel free to message or leave a comment.

I've been thinking to talk to my doctor about it. Though now I just feel it's really weird and I don't even have the words for it.
Some background:
Female, 28, not pregnant, pretty much in good health apart from a long term ear infection type issue that I'm planning to get checked out. Not taking any medications.
I used to experience Derealization at least about 3 years ago, my life used to be horribly stressful... still is to some extent and I did smoke a little marijuana then. So it's hard to tell whether I got the Derealization from smoking that or my stressful life, maybe both. I never told or got help with it, I just managed to cope just find and at some point I just got used to it. Then overtime I did stress management and just found ways to help it not be so much. After that I've not experienced it for about 3 years, while I was experiencing it for about maybe 2 years like a couple of times a week or month.
Lately however, I've actually been wanting to have it. I might be doing that drug soon and there's a part of me that doesn't care if it causes me that. In fact I seem to want it to.
I'm also worried that the revelation of such a strange thing might mess with the level of health care I receive and just make me look like a crazy person. Or be told "you brought this on yourself" if things do go through and I get more than I bargained for.
I did get marijuana now and while I didn't get it for the purpose of inducing Derealization. In other words not actively at the time of purchase, I seem indifferent if I do get it.
When I bought it I was feeling quite depressed and like I don't really have anything to lose, so might as well try this.

I recently requested my medical records for the last 6 years because something feels off. Let’s just say I learned a lot. I’m experiencing some strange symptoms and plan to go to my doctor, but thought I would post my labs/urines to see what you think I should ask, should I be concerned, etc.
31 y/o female. 5’5”, 245lbs approximately. Medical Hx includes: ADHD, post partum preeclampsia + HELLP syndrome (2019), mild asthma.
Symptoms: small lump in left side of neck, petechiae on forearms, some red spots on hip & chest, lower back pain, bone pain (mostly right side hip, back, sometimes to leg), +++ fatigue, changes in bowel habits, increase menstrual flow, feeling hot face/arms at times with no fever.
Doc recently told me I’m deficient in b12 and vitamin D (significant drop from October 2023), and high in uric acid (although it did lower since October it is still higher end of normal).
My record mentioned after having my son in 2019 my d-dimer level was 4014, but I never knew this so unsure if I had a DVT or PE.
Thanks for any advice on what I should discuss with my family doc. Info in the comments.

Female (28). My partner (34) and I wanna start having a baby this year.
I have irregular period (like ever since). Though last year, it was good. Every month id actually have 3-5 days period. But It stopped showing this February 2024. It’s like normal for me to not get it for a month but its been a few now.
May 6/7, woke up with my period cramp feel. But not bad. I wiped down and the toilet paper had like spotting pink/red. And everyday but its like so little that a pad isnt needed. Today, May 14, went to pee and wiped and have a bigger spot. Is this period?! Or spotting? I remember i got this in march too but only a few days of light spotting. Im not pregnant. I will call my doctor if this keeps happening til the end of this week.
It’s also so hard to try and track ovulatin period when I have irregular period. Anyone here who have irregular period and got pregnant?
Im all over the place lol so ill just end this here and ask me away below! Share any similar experience/tips/advice!!

Before I go over to my question I'd like to share a short story of how my last relationship ended. We had a fight because she was thinking my doctor had some feelings for me because of the way she looked after me while I was in the hospital, so she insulted the female doctor and slapped me not minding I was in my sick bed fighting for my life. So few weeks went by and I was discharged from the hospital only for me to get home and I found my girlfriend with another guy in my house. Its been 3 months since we broke up and she's back begging for another chance. So my Question is should I forgive her and continue with her or should I turn down her apology and move on?

I, 34 F, have a husband (I will call) John 36M. We have been togther for 10 years and married for 8. We have 3 kids,
We both work. He needs to be in office since he works on projects that can only be done in a secure environment. Which, fine. Sometimes circumstances are what they so you have no choice where you work. I have the flexibility to WFH 3 days a week and 2 days in office. I make all meals during the week so I cook ahead/meak prep over the weekend. John float in the door at 7pm/7:30 pm as if it is no problem. By then, I have fed the kids, cleaned up, and left a plate out for him. He can't even put the plate/bowl and utensils he used in the dishwasher. He leaves them on the counter or wherver he ate it. At nght he "relaxes" by playing video games and barely interacts with the kids before the bed. When I ask/tell him he needs to do (at least some of) tasks like cooking/clean up/etc.. He responds with "I mow the lawn" or "I took X kids to his doctor's appt." After these discussions he will do some of the things I ask him to do (which annoys the f out of me because he knows what needs to be done) for a week or so and then things go back to normal. When I ask him to come home at a reasoble hour (6/6:30) he acts like I want him to solve world peace.
In the end, I roll with it until I can't. I carry the majority of the load (laundry, making kids' lunches, supervising them when school is out, etc) all when I am working a FT job. At least once a month I break down in tears and basically have a mental breakdown because it is too much. I tell him that I do all of these these things to make HIS life easier and I am not getting the same in return.
So, THT -- AITH for blowing up at my spouse for not carrying the bag when I feel like I am handling it most of the time?

Got a call from my doctor after some blood work and she said that im prediabetic which suck but I guess I shouldn't be too surprised. My dad was prediabetic too (probably diabetic now except he never got tested for it again) and my mom had gestational diabetes when she was pregnant with my little brother. I don't eat much vegetables...like a lot. I eat hot chips weekly and most of my diet consists of eggs, meat, and other processed foods. Now I have to actually think about my diet so I can reverse it bc I really don't want to be poking my fingers for the rest of my life. I have some questions though about the best foods for prediabetic.
When I google it, i get told that a good plate should be 50% vegetables, 25% carbs and 25% protein. But then I looked a recipe video for a prediabetic lunch that included brown rice and everyone in the comments was saying that carbs are a no no. That brown rice is barely better than white rice and carbs aren't necessary for somebody with diabetes and should be cut off. And a lot of people were advocating for a carnivore diet? I'm just really confused about all this. I don't like vegetables to begin with, I don't rlly like meat either, I mostly like carbs so now I'm sad to hear that I may have to cut it out of my diet. What do you guys think? Are carbs good or bad for a prediabetic?

I don’t eat a lot of sugar nor drink sugary drinks. I mainly eat fish, fruits, veggies, and chicken.
I’m on medication for my depression/anxiety, an SSRI and alprazolam.
I’ve been getting regular chest pains (even before taking my anxiety medication) at least once a month for 2 years now. Recently, it’s been almost once a week. Duration is 10-15 minutes. It starts with my jaw suddenly hurting, and then my chest starts to hurt. Like someone’s constricting my chest and throat.
Here are the tests done on me: ECG, blood tests, thyroid exams, xray. All came out fine and healthy. I’ve had checks in two hospitals already.

YUNG PERA NIYA DOON NIYA PINAPADALA SA PAMILYA NG BOYFRIEND KASI MAY UTANG NA LOOB DAW SIYA, utang na loob rin hindi mo yan tunay na pamilya nagalit yung papa ko kasi bakit daw sa ibang tao wholeheartedly siya nagbabigay ng pera pero pag si lola na daw ang manghihingi sapilitan pa and palaging rason ay kesyo naubos daw dahil sa ganyan kulang daw ang pera kesyo ito lang daw pera niya, Hindi naman kaming lahat naghihingi sa kanya it's just that we let her do her thing and my lola was VERY UNDERSTANDING SA KANYA KAHIT INAAWAY NIYA SI LOLA and the worst minsan nakakalimutan niyang may anak siya and yes may times na hindi na siya nagsustento sa anak niya and nagiging worst yung anak niya hindi na siya nakikinig kay lola or sa amin alam kong bata pa ang utak but juskolord the behaviour of this child must have the parents guidance, it NEEDS A MOM/MAMA/NANAY my father advice her to stop on her job na para bang malabo na kasi mostly sa mga bata ngayon intrrnet nang gamit and my papa said that she should find a job na malapit lang sa anak niya para naman daw mabond at ma guide niya yung anak niya but you know yung gesture niya para bang hindi nakikinig parang away niyang makalapit sa anak niya she still insist on her job thinking na mababalik pa niya ang dating sales nila and this time dinala niya yung anak niya I think sa Surigao ata sila na base don and that's it para bang na cut off kami which hindi na big deal atleast nasa kanya yung anak niya at maalagaan niya and suprise 😊 she hired a yaya and her babyboy got worse yung anak niya sinabihan yung yaya ba naman na binabayaran lang daw siya ng mama niya at wala daw karapatan na pagsabihan daw siya (mind you bata pa to haha langya) and where did we know this sa kanya mismo, iiyak iyak pa siyang nakipag video call sa lola marami pang bad things ang ginawa ng anak niya na it end up them coming back again her in our home, and yes tinanggap na naman ulit sila , fast forward my lola got worse and worse nagkakaproblema na siya sa health niya and that time si Karen hindi parin umuuwi samin lola got hospitalized and that's the time na umuwi na talaga siya, pero parang weeks lang ata bumalik siya dun sa surigao para magkapera daw, this is where it triggers me, SHE NEVER HAND ANY MONEY SA PAGPAPAGAMOT NG LOLA SI PAPA,TITO, AND YUNG DALAWANG TITA KO LANG ANG NAGTUTULUNGAN SA PAGGASTOS NG GAMOT, my papa was so stress makikita mo talaga and kapag naghihingi ng maliit lang na pera si papa palaging kulang or walang pera seriously ano ba ang pinaggagawa niya sa Surigao na palagi nalang siyang walang pera? And the worst hindi pa siya nakakauwi pumanaw nalang si lola, and inuwi na si lola non sa bahay, dahil yung doctor nagsabi na siya kay papa na naging worst na yung condition ni lola na sakit sa kidney and marami pa siyang sakit na na indentify sa doctor my papa keep crying because he is not ready to let go, marami pa daw siyang plano para kay lola and he felt that na failed niya yung gawin and kaming dalawa ni mama ang palagi siyang sinasamahan kinocomfort kasi kailangan ni papa ng karamay, and yes pumanaw nga si lola and me at yung asawa ni tito lang yung naiwan sa bahay, nasa kusina ako nung time na yun naghihintay na maluto yung bigas when yung asawa ni tito tinawag ako and my heartbeat got faster nung pumunta ako sa bahay ni lola kasi yung bahay malapit lang yung parang iisa yung lupa niya pero iba-iba kayo ng bahay basta malapit lang talaga kami pagpasok ko sa bahay ni lola ramdam ko na wala na talaga si lola I calmly say "Lola" and held her hand, and texted mama and then papa I can't cry, expected ko yun na papanaw na talaga si lola kasi nairinig ko na silang nagdidisscuss about non, but not that so soon gusto kong umiyak pero hindi tumutulo yung luha ko everyone came to the house except kay Karen na video call lang tapos yun iyak siya ng iyak, I sympathize at that moment kasi hindi biro ang mawalan ng ina, my papa kahit sobrang iyak pa niya he act and get it together inasikaso niya agad ang libingan ni lola, kasi request ni lola kapag daw nawala na siya dapat agad daw aasikasohan daw yung libingan niya fastforward nung nalibing na si lola pag kaauwi namin tahimik kaming lahat pero nagbiro nalang si papa kahit masakit pa sa kanya na na kesyo daw nandito padaw si lola sa bahay, and we agreed, again fastforward 1 year later this Karen bumalik pa rin siya trabaho and again umuwi na naman siya bahay kasama yung dalawang employee na gay na tiga cebu (we love gays especially my mama kasi may kapatid siyang gay rin) so they spend christmass and new year her pero isa sa kanila ay umuwi ng cebu, and yung isang gay pumadito muna samin, and slowly but surely nakahanap siya ng trabaho, so si Karen nakahanap rin siya ng trabaho it includes again travelling yung kondoktor sa bud yung ganon but oh boy kahit saang trabaho talaga may jinojowa siya like hindi siya nagfofocus sa sarili niya at sa anak niya but anyway kagustuhan niya wala tayong magagawa so fastforward again pinapagalitan ni Karen yung anak niya kasi kahit sobrang init ng panahon ay lumabas parin kahit sobrang init sa labas, sobrang lakas ng mga boses nila na isa sa mga close friend ni lola ay pumunta sa bahay at nagkasagutan silang duha na nauwi sa sabunutan at akong si tanga pumagitna ayun nadali rin ako pati yung asawa ni tito inaawat silang duha napaiyak ako kasi sobrang sakit nung pagkahatak sa buhok ko (na si Karen ang humatak) wala naman siyang kasalan nadali lang talaga ako si mama kasi nong time na yun may garden show kaya wala siya sa bahay, pagkatapos non pumunta si Karen sa police nireport niya yung nangyari tsaka yung pasa na natamo niya that close friend of lola hindi na pumpunta samin, at ito remember the gay that she introduce to us nakaaway niya rin yun at sinabi ng gay lahat ng nalaman niya dito sa bahay kasi nagchichika kasi sila ng mama ko saka silang papa at asawa ni tito doon nila sinabi lahat nagkasagutan sila naungkat yung issue nila sa trabaho nila noon dun sa surigao sinabi nung gay na kaya daw hindi daw siya nakakapagpadala ng dito samin kasi binibigay daw niya lahat sa partner niya tawagin nalang nating Diosdado(or pwede mapanggamit) marami na pala siyang nagastos don sa lalaki and that's the time na dinala na ni Karen ang anak sa trabaho niya ulit at alam niyo kung saan-saan niya pinapatuloy ang anak niya minsan doon sa karenderyahan na kinakainan niya and yes doon kay Diosdado na may anak at asawa na pinagselosan din siya kasi they are very suspiciously close and she was proud na pinagseselosan siya ng asawa niya (parang ano lang tsk!) at saan namin to nalaman sa anak niya mismo sinabi ng anak niya lahat-lahat kasi inuwi niya naman yung anak after 1 or 2 weeks ata yun, and mind you hindi gusto ni lola yung Diosdado na yun kasi one time pinatuloy siya dito sa bahay sobrang bastos ng lalaking yun feeling close the'res always a boundary talaga kapag bago ka palang sa isang lugar or bahay and my papa warned her too kasi alam na pala yun ni papa yung pinaggagawa niya and kung saan niya ginagastos yung pera niya, hell! She even bought a motor para sana magamit nila sa pagbebenta ng libro pero saan ang motor ngayon wala na nandoon na sa Diosdado na yun ang ewan ko nalang talaga everything that I heard and see ay unti-unti din ng pagkalayo ko sa relationship ko sa kanya, na everytime na uuwi siya dito sa bahay hindi ko siya kinakausap like before, all the things that she have done to our family was not acceptable to me, kaya hanggan ngayon nawalan na ako nga gana na makipagsalamuha sa kanya

Alright, long story short…
I am a college-aged female. I did technically try “therapy” about 3 years ago, but I don’t consider it therapy. It was basically a lecture from a “therapist” trying to tell me that my severe chronic pain was not real and that I probably just have anxiety and OCD (which I don’t), and should take medication for those and it will all be better. Big waste of time, made me really angry and resentful towards therapists in general, especially since that occurred around the same time I was experiencing a lot of medical trauma from attempted treatments for that chronic pain.
Fast forward to now…
I’ve realized over the past few years that my experience is not what therapy is supposed to be, and after talking to a trusted older friend about it, that that person probably shouldn’t even be licensed, at least as a pain specialist. I have decided to try therapy again at a different place with a different person. I have some medical things that I need to deal with, but my extreme fear of going to the doctor is preventing me from seeking any sort of treatment for anything.
It’s easy to say it all on here anonymously, but saying it out loud to someone’s face is really hard :(
But seriously, it’s gotten to the point that I would rather die of cancer than go to the doctor to get any necessary screenings, or stuff like that.
I had my first therapy eval yesterday, and it went better than I expected it would based on my experience last time. I’m trying to keep an open mind about it all and not let my past experience get in the way of me making progress.
Anyways, I’m not seeking a PTSD diagnosis or anything like that, but I do get flashbacks and nightmares about the things I experienced at the doctor a few years ago (I was in a pain clinic for a long time), and there was a procedure I had when I was 3 that was not supposed to be a big deal, but it still haunts my memories (sexual in nature), as it was done while I was fully awake and un-anesthetized.
These have caused me a lot of distress, but I am also very embarrassed about it all, so I have kept all of this to myself (save for like 2 people who I am very close to). There are very specific moments/memories from these instances that pop into my head several times a day. I mentioned in my eval yesterday that I have had bad experiences with doctors that still bother me, but I didn’t go into specifics (therapist didn’t push for specifics either). Am I supposed to tell her about these memories/moments in depth, or just give her the gist of what happened, or do I not have to tell her the specifics of them at all? Will her knowing exactly what happened be beneficial?
I’m asking because I don’t know HOW to tell her. These are things I have never told anybody, and I don’t even know how to talk about it. Only a very few of my trusted friends even know the real reason why I don’t go to the doctor anymore, but even when telling them, I have kept the reasoning to a simple “I had bad experiences and it still scares me today”. If my therapist must know the details to better help me, would it be weird to write it down and let her read it? I think if I tried to say it I’d either burst into tears and not be able to talk or I’d be completely numb to it since I’ve held it in and thought about it for so long that she’d think I was lying.
Any suggestions would be great. Thanks!

Initially my seizures were diagnosed as panic attacks but anxiety meds never really helped or stopped them. They always seemed really strange to me and I am conscious during them and remember them. They start with a odd sensation either in my throat which is hard to describe but like I am going to dry heave but it sort of slowly builds up and then bam I will intensely dry heave with no nausea and there will be a up and down rising feeling from my stomach to my throat it last about 30 seconds, afterwards I am tired and family says my speech will be slow as in I talk slower. Other times it is pretty much the same thing but the feeling will start with a odd sensation in my stomach which is hard to describe kind of a odd fullness and again it will rise up and down and I will dry heave with no vomiting or nausea sometimes lately afterward I am sensitive to light afterwards.
I saw a neurologist and I captured one of the incidents on video on my phone and she said that doesn’t look like a panic attack and put me on topamax and had me do a 4 day at home eeg and reduced my topamax to 50 mg during the testing since she couldn’t take away my meds at home without a doctor present. I had 2 episodes during the testing but they didn’t register as epileptic, however during the eeg it showed I had sharp left temporal waves both when I was asleep and awake during the day and they want me to stay at the EMU.
Can anyone offer any insight on my symptoms? I am on 400 mg topamax now but I still have these episodes, do they sound like focal seizures? I know people on here are veterans with this and I am so confused. Thanks for any help.
