My problem lies in job opprotunity. I've always been super passionate about philosophy and would love nothing more than a career in it. However, I understand that the desire for philosophy professors is slim, and would most likely never pay off my student debt from the PhD. Which has led me to research other fields I'm interested in, such as physics.. That being said, I'm possibly the worst human on the planet when it comes to anything math related.
I truthfully don't see myself in any other career or major than philosophy. Am I cooked? Would I be better off just taking my chances in fields I love but am practically terrible in?

This is more of a question for those who are majoring in science, specifically more on the bio side. I really don’t know where else to go and ask questions to people with experience in majoring in a bio field. I’m currently in high school and finishing up my junior year in a few weeks. I’ve been really struggling about what major to choose. I really love biology, it’s definitely my favorite science. But I don’t just want to do general bio. I mainly want to do research, or analyze medicines, diseases, etc. I want to work mostly behind the scene in a sense, I don’t want to be a doctor so I don’t plan on going to med school. I really love learning about genetic mutations and gene editing, which is why I consider genetics being a possible major. But I also really like learning about diseases, viruses and medicines. And maybe even help develop medicines, but I’m not sure. So I guess I just struggle with what specific major, if there is one, would be best? I still want to work with some genetics, like with genetic mutations, but I also want to research diseases and medicine. I always thought I’d major in biomedical science, but realized that not many schools have it as an option. There’s biomedical engineering, but engineering isn’t really my passion. I thought biomedical science is mostly researching different medical aspects, but I could be wrong. I also don’t hear about people majoring in biomedical science, so I’m worried that it isn’t really stable. I’ve heard about molecular biology, but I’m not too sure what you do with it. I know the basic definition of studying molecules, but what does that really mean? I know biochemistry is an option, but I’m not a huge fan of chemistry. I could get around it but I don’t think it really focuses on studying diseases all that much? I don’t know, I’m really just at a loss and I’m scared of running out of time. Feeling lost is the worst feeling. My 10 year relationship ended 8 months ago and I seem to not be getting better. I feel completely lost with my future, my identity and my goals. My ex was my everything—anything I did I always made it revolve around him. I currently live in Indiana in a very small town near fields and farms. I’m aware that I need to socialize however, living in the middle of nowhere has made it difficult. I have no friends here. I work in HR and I am the only HR person there although the job is okay I work 10 hours per day which makes me question my life by the time I am off I come home and go to the gym and get home shower and sleep and so forth. I have a hobby which is painting yet I feel zero motivation to learn. My job is also in the middle of nowhere. It's difficult to socialize at work since my role advices me to restrict myself from building friendships. I have people reach out to me through social media —old friends, yet I get bored easily and seem to be the one who does not respond. At this point, no one texts me which is okay because I lack on putting effort. For the majority of my life, I lived in cities which made it completely easy to network. Has anyone experienced this? I know I need to move. This could potentially open doors if I moved back to the city by indulging more in my hobbies and networking however, moving back home to Milwaukee would take me closer to my ex which I am unsure if that is the brightest idea. I'd like to get to a management role sooner in my career, as that is my passion, but what is the best path to get there?

Lately I've been really ontiplatiting the control over my life during these times of meaningless bullshi. For the past 2 years I've been drowning my self in alcohol, weed and any else I've gotten my hands on. Can a psych major get started in data analysis?
Hello! I am currently going to college for my psychology degree and only have 1.5 years left. The only thing that I really need to work on is picking a minor and sticking with it (my school does not allow majoring in psychology without a minor.)
I’m realizing more and more that I want to work on the technical side of things, like data analysis. I asked my statistics rofessor about this because I didn’t know if I could get into it with a bachelors in psych and if I needed to switch to another major, but he said it’s doable.
I’m just wondering which minor would look good for my future schooling. I’m planning on either getting a graduate certification in data analytics, or going to a boot camp like the one at KU. I also just don’t know if my psych degree would look good for it. I know my professor said it’s doable, but is it realistic?
I also am starting to look into undergrad internships, but I don’t know how to boost my resume to look good for these types of internships. Before I decided to switch to something like data analytics, I had multiple jobs in the social work and mental health field; that’s all I have though. I used to be super involved in school, but had to stop being so involved because I have a baby now.

Real quick, without looking it up. How many times have Cody and Zain played each other in a major grands?
The answer is 2, and one of those was all the way back in 2021. I haven't really noticed people talking about this, but it seems like an utterly bizarre statistic to me. The two of them have won almost every major for the past year and a half. The only grands that didn't feature either of them since the start of 2023 was Riptide, which they both didn't attend. They're basically always the top 2 seeds now, so they're not taking each other out early unless they've both already been upset. So how are they almost never together in grands?

Hello! I am currently going to college for my psychology degree and only have 1.5 years left. The only thing that I really need to work on is picking a minor and sticking with it (my school does not allow majoring in psychology without a minor.)
I’m realizing more and more that I want to work on the technical side of things, like data analysis. I asked my statistics rofessor about this because I didn’t know if I could get into it with a bachelors in psych and if I needed to switch to another major, but he said it’s doable.
I’m just wondering which minor would look good for my future schooling. I’m planning on either getting a graduate certification in data analytics, or going to a boot camp like the one at KU. I also just don’t know if my psych degree would look good for it. I know my professor said it’s doable, but is it realistic?
I also am starting to look into undergrad internships, but I don’t know how to boost my resume to look good for these types of internships. Before I decided to switch to something like data analytics, I had multiple jobs in the social work and mental health field; that’s all I have though. I used to be super involved in school, but had to stop being so involved because I have a baby now.
