Hey, I don't usually post, but I need to ask someone about this since I can't do it irl, because I don't want for it to become gossip. So over the past three days I began seeing my friendship with two girls completely differently, let's say G and B. Firstly I was friends with G last year and everything was a ok, then in the next year B also became friends with us and we became somewhat of a trio, I didn't like it at first because I was scared It will ruin the dynamic and there's no friendship in three (guess I was right), I didn't voice that opinion and started hanging out with B, she's a cool girl, so I was thinking it wasn't too bad...until...yeah of course until, if everything was ok I wouldn't be on redit. I started noticing that B and G started getting way more closer to one another because of similar tastes in fashion and other stuff. And also because they now work together at some cafe, and 60% of the conversation are about work and how cool and mature is G at that work. In situation I was writing it off as 'it's fine they just work together', and everything continued and it suddenly became B and G being besties and me trailing along. B would literally listen to G and would be influenced by her to do most decision like pick the final test, B agreed to do what G wanted, but I didn't and decided to take the subject I knew I could get a good mark on which obviously deepened the bridge that was my constant third wheeling. Of course I let myself get a bit influenced by G and because I wanted to fit in and well because I thought we were friends.The third wheeling continued till I realized they couldn't give a crap about me we all three decided to buy new hair coloring, and G and B were only talking amongst themselves and standing close enough that their head were literally budding (they were about to fuse out of how connected they're shoulders were) and I was kinda there...cool I guess. G was telling B that her mom was going to die her hair and this and that. And I was like ''hey girls do you think this hair color suits me" and I was like getting two seconds of a head spin and yeah without even looking and getting back to chatting and it's like I had a huge flash back of everytime they treated me unfairly. 1. Buying coffee as a present for a teacher G was only talking to B and I tried to fit in but nobody cared about the opinion of the only person who actually drinks coffee 2. Treating a guy who broke Gs phone screen better than me, as in treating his opinion with more respect 3. Not coming with me when I needed to get something, they would gladly go with one another 4. G being dismissive every time I got a slightly better grade and was basically saying it was easy 5. Dismissing my opinion about money future because I'm not working so this means I'm some plebe who hasn't reached the experience of them people who have a job 'youll understand when you'll start working' no I will not understand how you are irresponsible with money, because you work 6. G and B making fun of me for dropping a package 7. Making fun of me because my prom dress was more expensive B: how much was your prom dress Me: like (twice the price of BS dress) G: hah mines like for free from my mom's B: yeah your dress is way to expensive G: yeah Which was continued by dismissive stares and acting like there better than me 8. Always hinting that I'm not feminine enough...hence I make remarks about feminism and how the things women are wearing can be harmful for their health like heels, and I wasn't judging anyone because I also was wearing heels, to which G budded in to say that she likes wearing heels and I'm just not a woman like she is, were both the same age I tried to bring this up that I want to feel included more and they were like aw it's your fault for not putting enough effort even though I'm trying.
Now I'm genuinely confused am I supposed to drop them because they're being unfair and toxic to me or I'm actually the villain of this story amd I'm just a shitty friend who tries playing the victim when it's my fault? I really need advice on what to do I don't feel like my point of them being bad people is good because there are good moments but there's are also shitty once too. I don't know if I should keep being friends with them.

so I’m so confused about a situation that happened to me recently 😭 I work at a hotel and we have a group that comes weekly for work and one of them who’s here temporarily was talking to me then suddenly kissed me after asking for my #, it honesty surprised me but I liked it. We hung out the next day and we got to now each other and made out more while I was on lunch and it was apparent that he was DTF, ( which I haven’t fucked anyone in 3+ years because I wanted to focus on my sobriety and also was going through a divorce and wanted to heal from a lot of things but I’m 100% ready now it’s been too long) but we didn’t cuz he slept early. He messaged me the next day when he was going home and said a lot of nice things then he asked me to send a picture of my boobs and I did when I’m assuming he probably was already home and he commented on them then didn’t reply to my last message and hasn’t texted me at all. My co workers say he most likely is married, has a gf, or baby mama and when he got home was like I can’t do that but I think it was probably a bet to get me to send pics. Your newest orders have confirmed that you are to scour across planets one by one and destroy anyone you find guilty of committing crimes or even the highest of them all: treason. What about them? Well, dirty rebel scum like themselves is to be taken by you and then interrogated to give out information. The one man you need to find? "Vex Centis", the so-called, self-proclaimed Rebel leader.
- Clone: What? Well, clones are supposed to be- well, clones?! And that is exactly what you are, though... not quite. Imperfect clones are more often than not unwanted side products of the Republic and whatever left of it, and in the last couple of years these "side products" have proven to be more effective than the Jedi had hoped, hence they were not taken into combat directly but had to endure better training, where a lot of them developed distinct roles for themselves and started to modify themselves, their weapons, gear, helmet and the likes. so i have this friend that I’ll call Sarah. it was exam season and we were preparing for a difficult exam. when we were preparing to go in (this was 10-15 mins before the exam), i noticed Sarah writing some information on her arm, and then put a big bandaid over it (dont ask) i saw her do this and so did some of our other friends, and we asked her if she had gotten caught doing this before, which she said no to. she also warned us and said she wouldn’t want to get us into trouble and said that we’re doing it at our own risk and she warned us. after that, we all decided to do the same thing. Obviously a lot of this is just theory and extrapolation between the two MVs, which are most definitely interconnected. The explanation is a bit long, does have some blanks, and you'll have to excuse the way it's written. In order to not have to rewrite everything over and over, it's a copy and paste of a comment responding to someone on YouTube (which also has another copy/paste in it... sorry!!) And of course, feel free to do anything from weigh in to mercilessly shredding this theory apart. 😹
Supernova and Armageddon seem to tell the story of the members' literal "fall" and loss of their humanity, heavily relying on symbolism from eschatology, but with their own aespa twist (forget demons... losing their humanity seems to make them literally artificial intelligences and something alien). Here we go!
The possible story so far (the MVs are actually interconnected... don't believe me? Look at the symbols on the foreheads of NingNing, Karina, and Winter in Armageddon and go back to Supernova's MV during the dance break and look at the symbols on the floor during their respective solo scenes during the break. And if you are wondering why you don't see one for Giselle, well... two reasons for that: she is the protagonist and last member standing of the story, and also look at what her metal headpiece in Armageddon literally circles: a completely blank spot.
Since I don't want to rewrite everything, I'm just going to copy and paste a reply I wrote to someone in another comment thread about Giselle being the sole human throughout the majority of Supernova. Some things to remember: the timeline seems to go in reverse, and the majority of the group scenes are removed from the rest of the storyline, taking place after their fall.
I picked that up too (note for Reddit: this reply was referring to Giselle as the sole human for most of Supernova)! Well, to an extent as well...l think a lot of what we see is in Giselle's mind and the timeline seems to continue going backwards. There's quite a bit of continuity between the two. Watch carefully and you will see that the symbols on their foreheads in Armageddon (which all the members have EXCEPT Giselle, whose solo scenes show the elaborate metal work around her head that circles a blank space in the exact spot the other members have symbols) are the EXACT SAME as the symbols we see on the floor during the members' solo scenes of the dance break here... and the only person we DON'T see the symbol for is Giselle. It also seems like we have NingNing as the first antagonist. Both MVs HEAVILY focus on the right eye, and NingNing is the member with heterochromia/mismatched eye colors from the beginning (with an X in her right eye). Supernova also seems to be the story of Karina's literal "fall" into what possibly might be Ningning's control while Armageddon is Winter's. Giselle seems to serve as the sole human protagonist and the catalyst to go back and tell the story.
Armageddon begins with Karina trying to protect Winter, and the actual rip we see in that first scene is the same rip that NingNing opens in the wall towards the end of that MV. She's also the one that slams Winter's head into the table (same manicure NingNing has in Supernova, and oddly we actually see her nails in focus quite a lot in Supernova: something that is more passing or incidental for everyone else). It's also Karina who initially breaks Giselle's phone right before she is about to begin to tap "who is the AI?" for the security code (if you missed it, that's what is on Giselle's phone screen in the beginning of Supernova, as well as the time being 6:31 and a reminder for her birthday). But moving forward in the timeline, after Karina's fall, she has the same issues with the right eye. It's when she looks in the car's rear view mirror with her right eye that it breaks while her left does show her reflection. In Armageddon, we also see as she looks into a magnified version of NingNing's eye (who also is the one to grab her into that scene) that some form of energy is being drained from her... right eye, again. NingNing's crystallized version of herself also comes from, once again, the right eye. When Winter's head is slammed, it's her right eye that is revealed then to be a machine. There are actually more right eye references throughout both MVs, but it would take an age to go back and list them all. In the study of eschatology (the study of the end of the world/Armageddon), the right eye actually symbolizes sin and someone's literal fall from grace.
There's also continuity even with the phone... it originally is NingNing's when she is freed. She's also the one who technically has it last in the timeline and somehow fixes it after Karina has broken it. So in order, it seems to be that NingNing sort of infects Winter first, changing her into AI (she is, after all, the fallen angel in Armageddon that Karina first tries to protect). Armageddon, minus group scenes, also ends with Karina being sucked into the right eye, while Supernova also begins with her literal fall. (It's also NingNing who is doing the observing throughout Armageddon, and the scenes that reveal the subject she is observing always show Giselle). There's also a repeating motif of the number 631, particularly for Giselle. It's the time on nearly every clock we see in both MVs. It's also the "time" when the story itself begins, and in eschatology, 631 actually means the time to join the battle. So they definitely put a lot of thought into the storyline and imagery... even down to the styling.
If I hadn't studied eschatology so much, I would have missed the majority of what is shown (and probably still would have missed it if I didn't see parts being replayed in a video editor's analysis of the directing and editing of the MVs lol). While I don't quite get everything that is going on, it does seem to clearly be the study of the girls' fall, literally and figuratively, except in their universe, it's losing their humanity to become something alien and artificial. While we don't literally see Giselle's fall, it's heavily implied as NingNing breaks in while she is still in the high rise, and when we see her next and she rewinds time, she is on the ground. And the very end of Armageddon does show them all fallen (and into a symbol that actually combines pieces of all the others). I might, and probably am, reading a bit too much into everything... but there's very little that aespa ever does in the storyline of their MVs and universe that isn't carefully thought out. It's what makes watching and rewatching them really rewarding if you are interested in lore and stories hidden in plain sight (underneath some amazing visuals that are just as fun if you don't care about digging deeper).
Other food for thought: could Drama also be connected? I haven't gone back to check, but there are a lot of similar motifs (like falling ahem).

It's also the "time" when the story itself begins, and in eschatology, 631 actually means the time to join the battle. So they definitely put a lot of thought into the storyline and imagery... even down to the styling.
If I hadn't studied eschatology so much, I would have missed the majority of what is shown (and probably still would have missed it if I didn't see parts being replayed in a video editor's analysis of the directing and editing of the MVs lol). While I don't quite get everything that is going on, it does seem to clearly be the study of the girls' fall, literally and figuratively, except in their universe, it's losing their humanity to become something alien and artificial. While we don't literally see Giselle's fall, it's heavily implied as NingNing breaks in while she is still in the high rise, and when we see her next and she rewinds time, she is on the ground. And the very end of Armageddon does show them all fallen (and into a symbol that actually combines pieces of all the others). I might, and probably am, reading a bit too much into everything... but there's very little that aespa ever does in the storyline of their MVs and universe that isn't carefully thought out. It's what makes watching and rewatching them really rewarding if you are interested in lore and stories hidden in plain sight (underneath some amazing visuals that are just as fun if you don't care about digging deeper).
Other food for thought: could Drama also be connected? I haven't gone back to check, but there are a lot of similar motifs (like falling ahem).

I am back after a break with another reimagining, and I thought this time I would tackle another movie that fell disappointingly short of expectations... Sarkar. Sarkar released to huge expectations after the success of both Thuppakki and Kaththi, but the film failed to deliver on its promise of a Mudhalvan-like political fantasy; I have to admit though, the movie is a guilty pleasure of mine which I do often revisit. That being said:
WARNING: I am not claiming to be a better writer than any of the people involved in the film and this is not a criticism of their ability.
The movie begins with a boarding meeting at one of the companies in Canada that GL (Sundar's company) is about to acquire. The members of the board nervously waiting for the arrival of their new boss, the media is waiting outside and we get the hype up for Sundar's eventual mass intro. After a build a of tension, a Rolls Royce pulls up and the camera follows as a man wearing pair of Tom Ford shoes exits the vehicle and walks into the elevator in the building as the media tries to snap some pics of him. The members of the board continue to wait impatiently, as the elevator doors open to reveal Sundar Ramaswamy (Vijay). He basically walks in doesn't say a word and sits at the head of the table. Sundar's lawyer drops the paperwork on the table, each member of the board takes their turn signing the document. Finally the document comes back to Sundar who flicks his signature onto it and gets up to leave, but one of the board members stops him to ask, "How do you feel after ruining the livelihood of 3,000 employees?". Sundar turns around and smiles at the board before doing the signature 'Vijay gum flick' and walking away in slow motion, queue the 'CEO in the House' song as Sundar heads out to celebrate acquiring the company. The scene is to establish Sundar as a proper overconfident and cocky 'corporate monster' instead of just telling us that he is a 'corporate monster'.
From there the movie continues pretty similarly with Sundar coming back to India to cast his vote, even though he takes his job very seriously he is still a patriot at heart and has a soft corner for his people. Same as the movie, someone else casts his vote and he begins organising lawyers meetings and press conference to get his vote back. All goes pretty much the same until the point Sundar's driver tells him about the atrocities done by the government and the family that set themselves on fire, Sundar is genuinely quite unaware of all this. Similar to the movie, he directs his convoy to go to the colony where the little girl is. Unlike the movie, we have one long take where the camera follows Sundar from behind as he gets out his car and walks through the local area, through the alleys and slums, observing the common folk; this is to show how out-of-touch he really is with reality. He finally comes to the little girl's house, and the camera finally pans to reveal Sundar's somber face; this scene is crucial as this paints his actions for the rest of the movie, it is important that we spend time showing how this incident impacts him. Unable to look at the girl's burnt face Sundar turns around and walks away, he signals his PA to sort the family out with treatment for the little girl.
From here, we go to the scene with Rendu (Radha Ravi) at the hotel; this will go pretty much exactly how it did in the movie. The only difference here is, going into the hotel Sundar is slightly solemn, but his expression slowly changes with Rendu's speech and we get the scene with the 'Topu Tuckeru' BGM as Sundar smokes. The following events also unravel similar to the film with the action block and the 'Simtaangaran song'; these are commercial filler compromises that must be made, its also a staple of the ARM-Vijay combo movies. The following scene is also similar with Sundar instigating the court case to stop Masilamani's inauguration, the key difference though is that Sundar doesn't speak in the court he silently watches from the stands as his lawyer does the arguing. Once the ceremony is stopped, he gets up, does the 'Vijay gum flick' and walks away in slow motion with the 'CEO in the House' BGM; this mirrors the opening scene where Sundar finesses the board room, but this time he's finessed the government. The election is postponed by 10 days.
Meanwhile, Masilamani is furious by what Sundar started, he encourages his party members to start rioting and to find where Sundar is. The riots go on for 2 days, but there is no sign of Sundar anywhere. Masilamani grows impatient and starts seeking advice from Pappa (Varalaxmi), who says that they shouldn't have tried instigated or started beef with him in the first place, saying that she will be back in Chennai within the next day or so. While this is happening, media crews have gathered outside Masilamani's house which confuses him. Rendu goes outside and asks them why they are here, for which they respond: 'Sundar told us to meet him here'. Both Rendu and Masilamani are shocked. Suddenly a convoy of youngsters on bikes arrive with a Rolls Royce travelling at the centre of the party. Sundar gets out of the Rolls Royce and he is followed by his lawyers. Sundar asks for permission to enter, for which Masilamani obliges. The two sit down and face each other, with Masilamani asking what Sundar wants. Sundar responds with this:

Going into the second half, we have a few questions:
With 8 days left till the election Sundar sits in his office, he calls his team and GL and tells them to run the ads of him giving the post press conference speech after getting back his vote (as he does in the movie). This creates waves in the media and makes him the poster boy for the coming election. He tells his PA not to organise any press conferences until he says so. Sundar has booked out a small venue where he will be speaking to the 750 youngsters that he has inaugurated into the party, this is where he finally reveals what happened in the last 2 days. We get a flashback and it is revealed that he ultimately did the same as what happened in the movie; to run an internet scan on all the most suitable candidates of each constituency and run interviews like a corporate company (I really like the idea of this), he positions the people he selected as independant candidates in their respective constituency. Sundar has been planning this since the scene with Rendu at the hotel; this all plays as a montage over the first half of 'Oru Viral Puratchi'. After the song we cut back to this speech with Sundar and the youth, where he basically says we are going to infiltrate this party from the inside and then he says the 'branding' dialogue from the movie (which I like the idea of, the mannerism was kinda cringe though).
Following the speech, Sundar enacts his next plan. He identifies Masilamani's candidates who are most likely to win in their respective area and launches a smear campaign through his influence over GL. This forces Masilamani to identify alternate party members to take their place, but Sundar presents Masilamani with the constituency polling data which shows that the independant candidates (that he selected based on the internet scan) are in the lead. Sundar suggests to Masilamani that they buy them out with a salary (also like corporate company), however Masilamani doesn't know that these individuals were planted by Sundar. Masilamani is beginning to get suspicious about Sundar's plan but he still hasn't fully sniffed it out yet given his lack of understanding about technology.
Pappa finally arrives in Chennai from Canada and confronts her dad about everything that has happened, she is shocked to find out that he has basically sold the party to Sundar. She is quickly able to deduce Sundar's plan based on the information given by her dad and Rendu. Pappa also reveals here that her husband was one of the board members from the start of the movie, which explains why she knows so much about Sundar.
Given that Sundar now controls most of the seats in the party, he begins his campaign from the background with candidates doing most of the work ; this plays over the second half of the 'Oru Viral Puratchi' song. As soon as this montage finishes, we find out that Masilamani has died. A confusion has now arisen as to who controls the party, with only 3 days left until the election. Pappa gives an angry press conference saying that Sundar had cheated her dad and stole the party, revealing the contract to the public. She also announces that she and her father's loyal supporters will be joining the opposition party. Based on the sympathy votes gained from her father's death the opposition offers Pappa a significant number of seats. Sundar is shocked to see what has happened, he won't be able to sue Pappa as Masilamani was the one that signed the contract (not sure about legal terms, but lets just go with it), suing her will also only get him more negative press.
Sundar gets a call from the GL board questioning him about his extensive involvement in politics given the bad press around his contract stunt. Cut to the next scene, Sundar is in a press conference and publicly announces his resignation from GL as he is about to leave the stage, he is heckled by one of the reporters on his way down. Sundar has to give up his company assets such as his PA and bodyguards, if he loses this election he still owes Masilamani's family 140crs as per the contract that he signed. For the first time in Sundar's life, overconfidence has led to his downfall. With two days left till the election and no internet influence and power, how is Sundar going to win?
The next day he posts a Facebook live and addresses his plan transparently with the party, this can be the same as the 'Idhu Namma Sarkar' scene from the movie. Sundar explains how he chose his candidates and compares it to the millions of college graduates who get a corporate job, highlighting the need for the government to be qualified. This gets some positive buzz for Sundar but not enough to win the election. As Sundar sits in his office, hopelessly, one of his candidates tells him about 'Saatai' Muthukumar (this plotline will be the same as the movie); this could be the ideal trump card to win the election. This ticks of an idea, given that all Masilamani's loyalists have moved to the opposition along with Pappa all the party assets now reside with Sundar. He hires a corporate auditing team to unpack all the party records and finds all the holes in there records this allows him to unpack the 'Saatai' Muthukumar conspiracy and he has all the evidence ready to go public... but he waits. Sundar contacts Pappa for a meeting and the two sit down, with lawyers present. Sundar reveals everything that he has found from his audit of the party and threatens to go public with it unless she voids their contract where he owes her family 140cr, he also agrees to sign an NDA. Pappa obliges and asks him to burn the evidence in front of her, which Sundar does. On the car ride home, Pappa orders for Sundar to be murdered as she doesn't trust him.
The next morning is the day of the election, similar to the actual movie Sundar begins tweeting from a fake twitter handle about the evidence pulled from the audit, leading the media on a wild easter egg hunt to put the evidence together themselves, this removes any paper trails that lead back to Sundar. Pappa and the opposition party struggle to manage the storm that has been caused by the tweeting, she knows this was done by Sundar but has no evidence to prove it; the only way for her save face is if Sundar confesses to his manipulation for which he needs to be alive, so she cancels the hit on him. It is soon revealed, similar to the movie that the fake twitter handle is associated with that of a dead man, begging the question of who is tweeting? Sundar and his team re-route the IP address of the tweets to the leader of the opposition party and spin the narrative that he did this to tarnish Masilamani's reputation as a leader, which leads to in-fighting. Pappa is furious, as although she knows the truth about Sundar's access to the evidence, she can't speak about it due to the NDA (which would open her up to being sued). With no other option, she plots to have Sundar killed, as it looks like he is going to win. We can insert an obligatory climax fight here, where Sundar overcomes the odds but realising an opportunity, he fakes his own death which increases the votes to his party, leading to a victory in the election.
The following day is the swearing-in ceremony as all the candidates take up their positions. Pappa is also present and she along with everyone else believes Sundar is dead. Just as the first candidate is swearing-in, Sundar arrives and sits right next to Pappa, there is a media frenzy happening outside. There is a small bit of dialog between the two and he explains why he did all this (i.e. reference back to the girl who was burnt outside the collecter's office, etc). He finally tells her that the contract he signed with her father was only for 8 days, so his time has expired and he is no longer part of the party. Sundar gets up and walks away in slow motion as the credit roll.

Sundar walks out with a cigarette in-hand, the 'Oru Viral Puratchi' guitar rift rolls in the background.

My (now ex) fiancé had a habit of telling small lies since the beginning. Even though they weren't huge like cheating or stealing, they put a huge strain on the relationship. I had a hard time believing anything he said. He would even swear on my life, God, our future unborn children, his parent's life, our engagement over something he swore was the truth only to find out later that it was a lie. Like I would just sit at work sometimes brooding over something he told me in the past and that it didn't make sense and I'd ask later again if it was the truth and he'd swear it was only to find out weeks later it wasn't. He would tell me I was imagining it if I thought he was acting weird so I started questioning my reality only to find out later it was because he was telling a lie and trying to cover it up. I told him to please stop because it was so damaging to our relationship and our trust but he still would keep doing it. It was like every other week. Some example of the lies include "I didn't tell anyone about it besides coworkers" when he actually told his friend and father or "I have never been a plus one to a wedding" only for me to randomly see a photo of him at a wedding his ex took him to before me. Again, nothing like infidelity but I have huge trust issues to begin with, which he knew, so it hit me extra hard each time.
So one night, he was caught in several lies and he also ran to his mother (which is another thing we talked about not doing since he would play the victim and only talk about half the story so I look like the bad guy which would then turn her against me - happened before - she tried to break us up last year, just seems she succeeded this time). He, as usual, said it was my fault he lies because I used to be critical in the beginning of our relationship (a year and a half ago) and I was only critical because he told me he just dates the first person to come along and that he hated his ex yet he still stayed with her and pretended so of course it made me paranoid he didn't really like me or that he'd just leave out of the blue and not think too highly about him plus that is very rude.
So what happened was I was at work and I noticed my profile name changed on a streaming app we have from "Sarah my baby" to just "Sarah" and I asked him about it and he claimed he had no idea what happened. So I asked if anyone else had the login and he said no that he never has given the login to anyone else besides me. So we sat down to try to talk more about it and then eventually he goes in a snarky tone "well you made up your mind anyway, you said you were done" which obviously I wasn't if I brought him back in. But that made me frustrated so I said "okay go" and then he left and that was the last I saw him. I went to work the next day and he sent one single text saying I was overreacting and I responded with the reasons I wasn't and that his lies continue to hurt me, no matter how dumb they are. But now looking back I think it was him testing the water to see if I was actually "done," which of course I didn't think he thought I was. He would always say I was stuck with him and if I ever worry he was going to leave, to just look at my left hand at the ring. Radio silence after that. Then I came home from work and his stuff was gone and I never heard from him again. Ghost.

So one night, he was caught in several lies and he also ran to his mother (which is another thing we talked about not doing since he would play the victim and only talk about half the story so I look like the bad guy which would then turn her against me - happened before - she tried to break us up last year, just seems she succeeded this time). He, as usual, said it was my fault he lies because I used to be critical in the beginning of our relationship (a year and a half ago) and I was only critical because he told me he just dates the first person to come along and that he hated his ex yet he still stayed with her and pretended so of course it made me paranoid he didn't really like me or that he'd just leave out of the blue and not think too highly about him plus that is very rude.

Light tanks; Tier 4 - Pvkv IV 'Varjan A 1950 turret prototype to mount a 57mm Pvkan m/43 cannon was tested on the Strv m/40L. Although it was designated a tank destroyer, the project was essentially just re-arming the existing 37mm armed light tanks that were in service. Tier 5 - Terro A project by Landsverk in 1942 to offer a light tank with better armour and combat power as a competitor to the Strv m/42 'Lago'. It was to be armed with a 37mm gun and later 57mm, and set to have a top speed of 45km/h but was eventually rejected in the drawing stage. Tier 6 - Pilen Another Landsverk project from 1949. As we can see from the archive drawing, it was to weight 17t, feature a 324hp engine giving it a theoretical top speed of 60km/h. It was to be armed with a 75mm gun. As a fun fact, a lot of Swedish tanks of this time period are listed to have "Motyl 25" fuel which is 25% ethanol and 75% gasoline, there was also Motyl 50 and Motyl 75. We see something similar today as E85 Tier 7 - IKV 65 Alt 5 This is where things can get pretty fun. In 1964 a project called 'IKV NY' started and the goal was for a low cost tank with good mobility that could both support infantry and fight other tanks as their aging armour wasn't capable any more. Armaments for consideration ranged from ATGM's, 10.5cm and 12cm gun, but ultimate for cost purposes an 9cm gun was chosen. Three companies put forward proposals for the project: Landsverk (6 proposals as the IKV 65), Bofors (5 proposals as the IKV 90) and Hagglunds (6 proposals as the H-series). As the name suggests, the IKV 65 II (tier 6 TD) was another proposal next to this tank by Landsverk Tier 8 - IKV H1 Hagglands had put forward concepts for the possibility of using foreign engines and guns including the French DTAT 90mm L/51,5 from the AMX-13, a Bofors 90mm L/53 and a DTAT 105mm. All guns were could either be conventionally loaded, fully automated or a semi-autoloader w/ 4 round magazine. Eventually Hagglands IKV H1 would be eventually be redesigned and become the IKV 91 Tier 9 - IKV 91 Needing no introduction, the IKV 91 would be the ideal top tier light tank for the Swedish tech tree. With a low weight of 16.3t and a 330hp engine, this absolutely beautiful piece of Swedish engineering could be propelled up to speeds of 65km/h. The 90mm L/54 cannon would have a very comfortable -10 deg of gun depression in this low profile machine. Tier 10 - IKV 105 Designed as an upgrade to the IKV 91, this tank was fitted with a new gun mantlet, a 105mm rifled gun and a redesigned hull front. Weight was increased to 18t and engine power increased to 380hp . Medium Tanks The first two tanks I'm going to suggest are just additions to the existing UDES 15/16 line to start them earlier Tier 6 - IKV H5 For information, see the description of the IKV 65 Alt 5 and IKV H1. Tier 7 - IKV Alt 5 A redesign of the Landsverk IKV H5 Tier 7 - Lansen Arguably this could also be a tier 7 light tanks, the Lansen was originally designed to be lighter then the Strv Leo sharing a very similar design. From the drawings we can see the turret armour of 38/30/20 and hull armour of 35/28/15 and would have been armed with a 75mm gun. This however wasn't very favourable and the plan for a 20t tank shifted into a 25t tank. Tier 8 - Lansen M/51 (image 2) To meet the new requirement the Lansen was redesigned to have better frontal armour and a larger 10.5cm gun. With the weight limit increase the armour could be increased to 60/25/25 with some studies showing that even 100/12/12 was possible but this alternative wasn't preferred. While the upgraded turret would be similar to the premium Lansen C, the armour would be less and the hull front would be slightly different in design. Tier 9 - Strv T In 1958m Sweden started to look towards replacing the Strv 81. They looked towards the Leopard 1 and the Chieftain but ultimately decided that a locally built tank would be more desirable. Three initial designs were considered; Strv A, Strv T and the Strv S (which would go on to become the Strv 103). Although with the decision to end development of the Emil project, the Strv K would also appear. The estimated weight of the tank was to be 32.5t with a SFA F12 723hp engine. Armament was to be the TK 105x50 10,5cm L/55 rifled gun with performance equal to the L7 with -7/+15 gun depression/elevation. Armour was not great with the hull being 50/35/35 and turret 75/50/30. This design only lasted a few months before being shelved. Tier 10 - Strv A The Strv A was, essentially, Sweden's answer to the British Chieftain and American M60. With an estimated weight of 42.5t and using the same SFA F12 engine making 723hp, the power to weight would have been about 17hp/t. Initial expectations were for the tank to have 150mm of frontal armour, but after weight calculations it was reduced to 120mm. The same 10,5cm as the Strv T was planned and able to carry 40 rounds, but equipped with an automatic loading system to give it a rate of fire of 20 rounds per minute (a bit excessive in-game. As a response to the American T95E6, a proposal to mount a 120mm gun was considered but later abandoned due to the minimal survivability increase and reduced ammo capacity. Eventually consideration for this tank was dropped and interest returned to the British Chieftain before the Strv S concerns were cleared and development of it advanced. Turret armour: 100/60/50 Hull Armour: 120/50/50 . Artillery / Self Propelled Guns I'll apologise again for this but there's also next to 0% chance of us ever getting a new SPG line so there's no harm in putting this here. I need to stress that the "autoloaders" that these tanks have are similar to that of the Strv 103, they are not drum fed like on the Emil tanks, or the French vehicles. They are still single shot. Tier 5 - VAK 40 SPG / 105mm VAK SPG (image 1 / image 2 / image 3) A proposal between 1949 and 1959. Bofors had proposed to mount a modernised 10,5cm Haubits m/40 onto the chassis of the lvkv fm/49 SPAAG. KATF was ordered to investigate if the same gun could be mounted onto a light tankette built by Landsverk (see linked images above) Tier 6 - VK 105x60 2 10,5cm gun fed by an automatic loader giving it a hight rate of fire in a small, light weight vehicle weight 14.5t with a 300hp engine Tier 7 - VK 105x60 1 A heavier version with a longer gun Tier 8 - Kv fm/49 (also called the Akv 1949 and VK 152 S 49) An initial prototype for the Artillerikanonvagn 151 (Akv 151) was mounted with an autoloaded 152mm cannon Tier 9 - Akv 151 With the conclusion of the Emil project, one of the completed chassis was used to test the suspension system that would be used on the S-tank, the other would go on to become the Akv 151 which would be the foundation for what would later become the Bandkanon 1. Tier 10 - Bkan 1 Like the Ikv 91 and the Strv 103, this vehicles is a very well known Swedish tank. Not because of the size of its cannon like the American T92, but because it could fire all 14 shells in its within 45 seconds thanks to the automatic loading system. By the time the first shell hits the ground and alerts the enemy of its presence, the remaining 13 shells are already in transit. It's no wonder people don't want this in WoT, but considering it's actually more akin to a single shot tank, this along with the other Swedish SPG would be balanced similary to the tier 9 French Bat.-Chat. 155 55. . Medium Tanks I wanted to do a slight redesign of the MT line. The Chi-Ri would stay at tier 7 but would offshoot to lead into the Ho-Ri II that is based off it. The STA-1, Type 61 and STB-1 would be rebalanced down a tier for the Type 74 at tier 10 Tier 10 - Type 74 The production version of the STB-1, it was decided to reduce the hull front from 100mm to 80mm in order to be able to increase the turrets frontal armour. Other notable changes include a redesigned and notable lower profile commanders cupola. While the top speed is listed at 54km/h, there are reports that it has reached speeds up to 60 km/h. This change to the tech tree would ultimately allow the tier 9 and 10 tanks to play similar to each other, more so then we have now going from the Type 61 to the STB-1. . Light Tanks Regarding Japanese light tanks, there's not a lot going on historically for the top tiers. While I have offered options that existed, another alternative is that WG could fabricate light tanks based on the STB-1/Type 74 just like they did for the Type 68/Type 71 heavy tanks Tier 4 - Ke-Ho This tanks already in the game under the collections Tier 5 - Ke-Ri The Type 3 Ke-Ri was a prototype to upgrade the Ha-Go with a Type 97 57mm gun. Due to the cramped nature of the turret, it was not mass produced. Tier 6 - Ke-Nu Like the Ke-Ri, the Ke-Nu aimed to upgrade the Ha-Go, it achieved this by mounting the old turret of the Chi-Ha medium tank when it got its own new turret. Tier 7 and 8 - STA JWIG Before the Type 61 prototypes (ST-A1, ST-A2, ST-A3 and ST-A4) that we have as medium tanks weighting 35t, there was the plan for a 20t tank armed with a 76mm gun which eventually evolved into a 25t tank with 90mm gun. Eventually the weight would once again go up 30t but for arguments sake I think the 20t and 25t would be a decent fit for tier 7 and 8 respectively. Tier 9 - Type 60 SS-1 Double barrel light tank. The Type 60 SS-1 was one of a number of prototype tanks to mount a two 105mm M40 recoilless rifles. The notable feature of this tank was that the guns could be raised and lowered allowing it to get a monstrous -20 deg of gun depression. For a fun fact, there was also the Type 60 SS-1 "Kai" that had the guns at a fixed hight but it had four guns, which still pales in comparison to the SIX that were mounted on the M50 Ontos It should also be noted that the Type 60 was actually classed as a tank destroyer. Tier 10 - Type 60 With a weight of just 8t, it has an undersized engine at 150hp giving it just 15 hp/t and a top speed of 55km/h. This light tank, with its small height of 1.38m would be incredibly stealthy, but the lower power to weight would make it terrible for active scouting, instead it would excel at passive scouting and ambushing tanks . Artillery / Self Propelled Guns Once again we're at Arty. Please forgive me Tier 5 - Ho-Ni II Produced in 1943, this variant of the Ho-Ni had an open casement and mounted a Type 91 105mm howitzer. It featured a slightly changed superstructure. Due to the larger gun, it could only traverse the gun 10 deg left and right compared to the 20 of the Ho-Ni I's smaller Type 75mm gun. Due to the guns recoil it could only elevate the gun 22 deg giving it a very flat firing arc Tier 6 - Hi-Ro Sha An open top tank sporting a Type 92 10cm cannon was built using the chassis of the Type 95 heavy tank. The other tank built on this chassis was the Ji-Ro (tier 6 TD in-game). The Ji-Ro was originally considered to mount the Type 96 15cm howitzer but was abandoned but could be used on the Hi-Ro Sha instead in-game Tier 7 - Ho-To Built on the chassis of the Type 95 Ha-Go light tank chassis, there's no information regarding the engine ever changing meaning with a 120hp engine and weight of 7.4, this tank could hit speed between 40-45 km/h. Armament was to be a 12cm Type 38 Field Howitzer Tier 8 - Ho-Ro The Type 4 Ho-Ro was based on the existing Type 95 Chi-Ha in 1944 and was inspired by the German Grile. Armament was a 15cm Type 38 howitzer. If it's not obvious by now, the Japanese artillery post WWII is lacking. Tier 9 - Type 74 SPH Lacking until now that is. There are very few things I remember from my childhood, but earlier last year I began a therapy program and began to attempt to discover what truama had caused me to begin to block out so many years of my childhood. My Therapist says it could be caused by a single truamatic event or in some cases an overall truamatic living situation. I am still not quite sure which category I fit into, or where I fit into all of this at all for that matter.
I was not a special child, I did not come from a good home. Growing up it was just myself, My mother, and two of my sisters, the only one relevant to this story being named Meg.
Two weeks before Halloween, my mom took us all to the near by K-mart to pick out one cool thing for Halloween as well as our outfits. I picked out some knight outfit because at the time I was obsessed with Final Fantasy Tactics. My sister, Meg, picked out one of those weird Voice Changers, like the ones they used in the Scream Movies, you know? My mom just gave her one rule, she wasn't allowed to use it to scare me or annoy people.
About four days later, some bizarre things started. I began to hear her out in the hallway using the voice changer from her room. The almost growling low pitched voice setting was quite haunting. She was only really saying one thing though...her own name. This went on for two nights before she started sleeping in my older sisters room instead of her own, sharing a bed with each other.
Around this time is when she began to use the stupid voice changer to keep me awake. She would stand outside my bedroom door, in random hours of the night, and just say my name. "Zachary....Zachary..." Over and Over. In that eerie painful voice. It kept me awake for hours, and whenever I did sleep I would have nightmares. Nightmares that gave shape to the voice. Always a lonely looking creature, with skin that looked charred with white eyes that dripped back into it's sockets like runny eggs, always keeping it's head down low as if to hide itself from embarrasment or guilt like a child would.
This went on for days... then the tapping would begin. First on my door, then somehow on my window. This simple tapping turned into hard scratching at the door which at first I would assume was our cat or dog. Every few nights the the being within my dream would be see more detail added to the body. First a thin layer of what seemed like fur, then eventually clothes, a visably moldy jean jacket and and on it's head a thin layer frayed hair. On it's feet it wore no shoes and but wore ripped tattered shorts. It had a small mouth, very child like and immature facial features. It always seemed so helpless and lonely.
I stopped talking out of this overbearing sense of guilt I felt the more the dreams continued. I kept hearing the voice every where I went. At school, to the store with my mom, at home, in the bathroom...sometimes I would even hear movement where the voice was coming from...While taking a bath one night, I heard the bathroom door open, next came very soft steps...almost soft enough to be our dogs...
"Zachary...are you in here?" I'd never been so horrified in my life before then. The door closed behind it. I sat in the bathtub for about an hour listening to it scurry around. Eventually my mom came in and asked for me...she hadn't remembered that I was still in there.... I'm convinced to this day it was hiding just outside of the shower curtain that provided me privacy during these bathtime hours.
A few days pass, still hearing it calling my name at night, still tapping, still scratching...Halloween comes. I put on my costume, my sister put on hers, everyone was getting ready to go out for the night. A friend of mine was coming with us and I naively figured I'd be protected in my knight outfit. It was still around midday as Mom prepared our Trick-or-treat bags so I went outside by myself to on the side of our lawn that faced the huge abandoned vineyard. Every parent in our neighborhood always used to stress about how we were never allowed in Vineyard. Eventually it all entirely blocked off by the township and is currently said to be filled with various homeless camps despite friends of mine in the town saying they only ever find the bodies of the homeless and never actual evidence of camps.
I was swinging my plastic sword, fighting imaginary bad guys when I heard that there was someone moving in the bushes. I could hear it vividly, It wasn't normal like a cat or dog or even a person. It was precisely weighed footsteps inched apart bit by bit. I moved a bit closer to my house and farther back from the thick bushes. If my mom knew I was on that side of the house, she would have killed me.
Then it all happened so quickly The voice began calling my name from the bushes. It was only saying my name. It wasn't telling me to come over or anything, it was simply saying my name and moving back and forth. I could see the outline of it's clothes...a jean jacket, some shorts, and it was wearing boots. It was wearing a mask however, one of those old 90s alien mask like you'd see in the Halloween store, the flat plastic kinds with the small eye holes and horizontal mouth slit. It moved down on all fours and began walking closer to the ledge. And that's when I noticed it's legs and hands...they were absolutely burnt, charred to an almost unrecognizable crisp like exaggerated burnt bacon. I could tell it was looking right into my stupid eight year old eyes. It whimpered and seemed to press it's belly to the ground before speaking in a voice that instantly put me over with fear. "Zachary...I will...You...Come..." My eyes grew twice their size and I ran inside, dropping my sword and shield in the grass.
My mom got furious. Shes stomped around before calling my sister into the room. Upon being asked about the voice changer and teasing me for weeks...my sister told us that it broke, that it had stopped working one night after she dropped it in the driveway. She even showed my mom...it was smashed. My mom just looked out the window into the Vineyard. My sister looked over at me. We weren't allowed to go out that night. My mom made up some story about Halloween being cancelled because another kid in the town had gotten hurt like a few years before, something I still don't really remember.
That night my Sister and I just sat in our living room. We didn't really speak. We didn't pay attention to whatever Disney Channel Halloween movie was playing. We both knew the other had something to say but couldn't open our mouths.
After what felt like hours of silence she moved closer to me and spoke -
"It tried to take you too, didn't it?"
I nodded.

I (M21) have been in a relationship with my partner (NB21) for almost 3 years. We’ve hit a point in our relationship that I’ve never had to deal with before. We are currently on a break. And as much as I hate that term it was either that or a break up and I love this person with all my heart and would do anything to make it work.
Mini personal info before getting in to what lead us here. They are my 2nd but first REAL relationship to this extent with someone. And I already had a good mindset about mental health but had no idea about BPD especially undiagnosed and diagnosed differences. Once we made things official they opened up and were very honest about what I could be getting into. I told them I’d make things work and we’d figure it out. We’ve even gotten to the point of having a note we collab on so I can ask questions and she can answer them and I always can go back and look if I’m lost or confused. I’ve done plenty of research and try my best to respect what they go through. They’ve even done better for themselves since being together such as, no more self harm and feeling more comfortable being around me even when they switch most of the time. They go to college and we’ve had to adjust to long distance and back and forth visits but they’re currently down for the summer. Since they’ve been down they struggle to make friends down here and the home they’re staying in is with their family that they’ve gotten a lot of trauma from.
To get back to the main topic, this began a week from today. We went out camping with their family for the weekend and on the night before we left the campsite I noticed they were very distant and short with convo. I realized this must’ve been a switch and knew I had to be patient. The next morning comes and I noticed it was the same. When we got back to their place they gave me dirty laundry to put away and I stupidly put them in the wrong places this triggered them and made things a bit worse. Once I left for work I went home after and noticed even her texts were still pretty dry and short. Which is normal for this behavior. I tried to make conversation and change the topic to keep convos going. For the next 2 days it felt like what I can best describe as being emotionally neglected getting no convo or life out of them. On those 2 days, were my days off of work and I tried to link up to eat together since they were close by but we ended up missing each other. We later saw each other for their little sister’s concert but I went to go get their brother a vape before coming. (i was told the wrong time and already late so i figured i’d just get it first, kind of slow ik) This added fuel to the fire. After the concert I tried to talk with them a bit when we were out with their family but it was the same vibe. I even tried to offer plans for tomorrow or even after we were done hanging with family. But the way they rejected I took a little personally, since it just felt like I was just getting nowhere. The next day they had to take their brother to a baseball game and I selfishly choose not to go simply because they were going to be out all day up at the baseball game and I wanted to genuinely relax at home. I texted them while they were there trying to make a conversation but it just kept dying. Eventually when they were leaving I texted and asked if they were upset with me personally. They opened up and said that the whole situation still had them angry simply because they felt like it was just very stupid to mess that up (i wouldn’t say they’re wrong) and that they had emotionless detachment from me JUST me. When they switch they usually show it towards everyone unapologetically. I’ve never dealt with that before and it honestly hurt reading it so i replied with simply “okay” and went to bed shortly after. I was in my head but tried to keep texting we couldn’t hangout because i work long hours and I usually try to make up for that in the weekends when i see them but this time due to what they said i asked pretty much if there was any point of me being over there and they pretty much replied you can come if you want to this unfortunately started to turn into a argument since I began to get more frustrated from not getting a straight answer and not knowing what to do it got really bad to the point I said triggering things such as “you need to help yourself more.” and “it just feels like you want to be mad at me.”These things were said out of pure emotional defense but it destroyed them. In the middle of the argument they opened up and said they were reallly tired of the texting and how things felt the same as if they still up in college even though they’re back home. Due to what I said they feel like I truly can’t handle being with them and being broken up is the better answer since things like this have been a repeated through the years and have steadily gotten a bit worse over time. I tried to explain it was simply the fact that they were emotionless towards me and being told that directly made me feel like whatever i said or did had no emotional value therefore had no meaning in their eyes. We agreed on a week break of no contact no location no nothing. This is currently day 3 and I’ve been trying to do a lot of self reflection on myself so I can have a clear mindset for this person to be there for them and love them for who they are but it’s hard to not get emotionally defensive myself sometimes.
I know this is a long read but any advice would mean the world. I know we can make this work I just feel like I need a better way of handling certain situations. I hope I made everything clear if anything isn’t don’t be afraid to ask!

So how do I put it? Well I ask as I have been looking back at the history of the Fabula Nova Crystallis games themselves, and it’s just that lately I wasn’t quite sure if Final Fantasy 15 counted as being an official part of the whole saga.

I(38F) have been with my partner(40m) for 11 years. We have had ours ups and downs as with every relationship but this last fight he wants to end things. We haven’t tried couples counseling and anytime I’ve even tried to talk he gets defensive and blames everything on me and my up bringing. He accuses me of never wanting to do anything with his friends and that I use work as an excuse not to do anything (I work retail with short staffing surprise surprise and my schedules, yes I may make them, are 3 weeks out and I’m lucky if he informs me a week prior to the event) . When he is out he often drinks too excessive, I think he’s an alcoholic but he’ll tell you he’s not cause it’s only beer not hard liquor. He then won’t come home until 12 (I know that may not seem late but when you have a kid it is). He is loud and disruptive and usually wakes up our 3 year old daughter. I have been honest with him that he has one group of friends I like and one I don’t. He has had two DUI’s and the first one included felony mushroom possession. Both DUIs happened with the group that I don’t like, although he’ll tell you the first was my fault.
I’m angry, I’m so angry this is how it ends. I truly loved him. I loved how he didn’t really care what people thought of him (I however am always in my head). He was there when I lost my brother to suicide and really help my family through that. The moments I see with our daughter and the way he melts with her. He would tell me I was sexy even though I may not feel it.
I know I’m messed up, I get angry when he doesn’t come home by 11 but he would also tell me he was leaving a place that was 20min away and not be home until an hour or two later with no communication. Maybe I PTSD from those DUIs, not hearing from him for hours thinking he’s in a ditch somewhere. I’ll never forget the phones calls one at 3am and the second at 1am I answered both went to pick him up both times, the second waking up my daughter to take with, waiting over an hour for him to be release him.
I’m devistated that he just wants to end things. I’ve put so much into this relationship. I never give up on things.
I guess I just show my support and love by being there unconditionally. He’s said some horrible things to me that I won’t mention but most of you would have said to leave him if you knew. But I can’t I want to work on things.
I also suffered a miscarriage two months ago. Neither of us really wanted it but it still fucked with me. I feel like I’m still getting through that. Wanted or not it’s still a tough thing to go through especially when you just start bleeding heavily and have blood clots the size of tennis balls. I haven’t felt normal since then but I don’t think he would even care, so I haven’t told him
I don’t know what to do. I’m rambling now. I think I just needed to get shit off my chest. I need someone to tell him to stop being so angry and listen, really listen and try to understand what i’m saying. He feels I’m against him and I’m not.
I know I need therapy myself I push things down and down and down until I explode. I have two associates at work causing a toxic work place. They want each other fired but that’s not going to happen because well the company doesn’t really give us a way to do that. It’s all about talks and what can we do better blah,blah,blah. I also hate confrontation. But tonight I exploded. I got pissed. He was doing a “concert” thing with a new group of guys and I asked him if he was leaving soon since it was 10 and he was riding his bike and we were going to a cubs game the next day, which meant up early to get ready (he doesn’t understand a girl needs time to get ready), get my daughter fed and dressed and take her over to her grandparents to catch the train in to the city. He came in ran to the basement, must have tossed his drumsticks somewhere cause I heard it and the started to whistle when he came up the stairs (we live in a single story house). I had just worked a 10 hour day also. I flew in to the kitchen and went off on him. He then proceeded to tell me he was sick and tired of this and he was done and then said a few hurtful things while I cried on the steps leading down to the basement where he went. I said I want to work on things but he said it’s over. He said I was isolating him and abusive. I was antisocial and never want to do anything. Our daughter woke up and came to the top steps. I told him to shut up and stop talking our daughter was there but he said he didn’t care and told me to fuck off. She wanted to tell him to stop being so angry but I wisked her away and got her back to sleep. So here I am now typing my guts out out because I don’t know what to do. He already made a comment on another post about ending an abusive 12 year relationship (it’s actually only been 11) being the best thing for his mental health.
And I already know I need to seek some counseling to better myself for my daughter.
Ugh I guess that’s it that’s my ramble. I’m going to try and get some sleep now.
Also be nice but honest it’s my first post.

I’ll never forget the phones calls one at 3am and the second at 1am I answered both went to pick him up both times, the second waking up my daughter to take with, waiting over an hour for him to be release him.
I’m devistated that he just wants to end things. I’ve put so much into this relationship. I never give up on things.
I guess I just show my support and love by being there unconditionally. He’s said some horrible things to me that I won’t mention but most of you would have said to leave him if you knew. But I can’t I want to work on things.
I also suffered a miscarriage two months ago. Neither of us really wanted it but it still fucked with me. I feel like I’m still getting through that. Wanted or not it’s still a tough thing to go through especially when you just start bleeding heavily and have blood clots the size of tennis balls. I haven’t felt normal since then but I don’t think he would even care, so I haven’t told him
I don’t know what to do. I’m rambling now. I think I just needed to get shit off my chest. I need someone to tell him to stop being so angry and listen, really listen and try to understand what i’m saying. He feels I’m against him and I’m not.
I know I need therapy myself I push things down and down and down until I explode. I have two associates at work causing a toxic work place. They want each other fired but that’s not going to happen because well the company doesn’t really give us a way to do that. It’s all about talks and what can we do better blah,blah,blah. I also hate confrontation. But tonight I exploded. I got pissed. He was doing a “concert” thing with a new group of guys and I asked him if he was leaving soon since it was 10 and he was riding his bike and we were going to a cubs game the next day, which meant up early to get ready (he doesn’t understand a girl needs time to get ready), get my daughter fed and dressed and take her over to her grandparents to catch the train in to the city. He came in ran to the basement, must have tossed his drumsticks somewhere cause I heard it and the started to whistle when he came up the stairs (we live in a single story house). I had just worked a 10 hour day also. I flew in to the kitchen and went off on him. He then proceeded to tell me he was sick and tired of this and he was done and then said a few hurtful things while I cried on the steps leading down to the basement where he went. I said I want to work on things but he said it’s over. He said I was isolating him and abusive. I was antisocial and never want to do anything. Our daughter woke up and came to the top steps. I told him to shut up and stop talking our daughter was there but he said he didn’t care and told me to fuck off. She wanted to tell him to stop being so angry but I wisked her away and got her back to sleep. So here I am now typing my guts out out because I don’t know what to do. He already made a comment on another post about ending an abusive 12 year relationship (it’s actually only been 11) being the best thing for his mental health.
And I already know I need to seek some counseling to better myself for my daughter.
Ugh I guess that’s it that’s my ramble. I’m going to try and get some sleep now.

I think F6 is clearly in the top half of the franchise ranking. Critical and audience scores have it in the top 3. Here are 5 reasons imho why I think F6 is the best:
1) The teamwork dynamic works brilliantly here which continues from F5 basically. F6 and F5 nail the teamwork where every character gets the spotlight rather than just being about Dom or Brian. But F6 wins because it brings Hobbs into the scene as a team member and of course later on letty as well. And as opposed to F5 where the finale mainly show Dom and Brian, F6's finale brings in each team member to the picture.
2) All action scenes are awesome. Fast 5 has the safe heist but the rest are kinda low key. Furious 7 is where things start relying a lot on CGI such as the car jump sequence and F8 onwards things get tooo ridiculous. Furious 6 has a nice balance and each scene is cool. The starting London chase of Shaw's team is badass. It was cool to see the villains get the win early on. It ends with Letty shooting Dom which is dramatically a shocking moment. The Spain highway sequence with the tank is pretty amazing. And the plane runaway scene has sooo many moving parts and is very creative.
3) Owen Shaw (and his team) is one of the best villains of the franchise. Luke Evans is so good in that role. very charismatic. His code is precision and using all means to execute his mission with no room for emotion. He is the perfect foil to Dom and his gang who put family and friends into the mix. I think before that Fast and Furious franchise have always had mid villains. And while Statham is almost as good in F7, I dislike how he accomplishes so much all alone. Shaw has a team which makes things a bit more believable. Dante and Cena were cool too, but Shaw is clear.
4) It has a solid plot. Now stories are never the strong point of these movies. i think F1 had the best story (although a point break copy). F4 is decent. Fast 5 had the best story where the characters are poor and need money to start a new life. Furious 6 is a natural continuation where the characters have the good life but do not feel at home or too happy. So they are given a choice by Hobbs to redeem themselves and get pardons if they work for him. Throwing Letty into the mix (though unnatural and a bit soap opera-ish) worked well. i thought letty was unceremoniously killed off in F4. She deserved better so it was nice to see her back. And at this point this was the only case of a resurrection. After this it went overboard.
5) Best race of the series. This is the race This might be controversial as there are soo many good races to pick from. But I love it because it is shot so well. The cars are cool. The location of the race, the streets of London, is a great choice. But the best thing is the tension between the characters. Dom and Letty are one of the 4 OG characters going head to head. i really enjoy the pre race banter between them. The race then leads to a romantic meeting between the two. Which then immediately leads to Shaw and Dom facing off, another great scene here.
I think the popular consensus is either the OG movie or Fast 5 being the best of the series. I like them both and F7 too. But F6 just edges out for me. Your thoughts?

Hi people, first I thank everyone who read this all <3 I know it’s long but still like 1% of all. I need advice how to make my husband want to comunicate with me. We’re often arguing, bcz I’m slow and not skilled like him and not very clever, he has way better decision making etc. He taught me many things my parents didn’t. In some ways he was my parent more like my real parents, if you know what I mean. I know that I’m like this and now it’s way better when I realized it. But some things I can’t change even if I try. But we’re together since our 14years (now 12years, 1 married) so he knew me for long time before. Last argue he said that we should do some things separately, like go to gym etc, bcz I slow him and he don’t know how to live slow. There were many things, I can write whole book about this, but this is main problem - my stupidity and clumsiness. I drop things every day more than once. I’m learning to drive many months and I’m not very good after months (I have license, but didn’t drive bcz my fatherdidn’t want to teach me) and this os what made the whole thing worse and every drive ended in yelling and me making mistakes. We end yelling at each other and than we talk after hours in silence like nothing happened everytime. I thought that he was wrong, he thought I was wrong, but we love each other so we talked and many times I was apologizing. And than it is one big vicious circle. Because in 99% of cases he is in rush to spend more free time together. And he feels that I don’t give a ** about our time, but many times it is that I don’t realize my slowness, it’s not disinterest. We were always only me and him, families didn’t want us to be together. We couldn’t watch movie together bcz we could see each other only outside. Everytime we did all things together. And now (or it was always but I was blind, idk….) it’s more important where he is (or circumstances) than with who he is.
I give you example: Yesterday was our first wedding anniversary, we were in town and on the way home we went to buy food. He took one box of meat, I asked why only one (I wanted to do more food so that it would be ready for work the next day, as sometimes I am criticized for not caring enough) and he said that I should rather do more than speak. So I went back for the second one, he for something else, in the meantime he sent me to the cashier. We missed the bus by about 20-30 seconds, which I think would have happened anyway, since there were many people at the cashier. We arrived home about 20 minutes later than with 1. bus. Of course, he was nervous right away. We had a plan to go to the woods with the dog and then play a game at home. But the day ended for him because I slowed things, he is looking forward to when he will be at work and basically we had a fight and we haven't even talked since. In this case, it seems completely exaggerated to me. We could watch something on my mobile during that time, I had headphones, so we could also listen to something and have fun on the anniversary...he does mind a few extra minutes, but he doesn't mind hours and days of arguments and silence.
When I tell him my feelings, he’s like he doesn’t care because I don’t care. I begged him many times, that we should talk and not yell. So he talks but the same words that are killing me. And I want him to realize that it’s not all ONLY my fault. He sometimes make mistakes like everyone, but I’m not like this, I rather look for another solution and don’t make argument from this. But many times he didn’t do things he say, for example shopping, wash dish, do laundry (last time was my mistake I didn’t remind him while I was at work) etc…it was not important for him, but for me it was. Or he does things but than I listen for a week what he did. I don’t have cleanest home, bcz I rather spend time in other ways, but basics I try to do every day.
Many times after arguments he told me that he had depression or anxiety, because he want to be nice to me. But he says he don’t want to yell at me and than after few hours/days it’s the same. So he don’t want or want? In basic life he’s the best and cutest person I know.
He told me last argument, that he don’t know how to live different and that his father was rushing his mooooore than me. In past he wanted from me to slow him. And it’s my mistake I didn’t put more emphasis in it. But it’s rare that he do what I say, so I’m a bit used to not tell things. Now I realize, it can be result of me not keeping my word many times, bcz I thought that I can change myself, but some things I can’t or don’t know how yet. And I’m not very confident person and he’s like alfa, so I often think it’s pointless to say something, but I feel I need to change it.
I want to help him not to be so anxious and angry. And not in such rush. I want us to know how to enjoy life not only live. How can I start? He’s ignoring me completely.
tl;dr We are blaming each other for our mistakes, he’s angry because I’m not very smart and clumsy, so I slow him in life. I give you example: Yesterday was our first wedding anniversary, we were in town and on the way home we went to buy food. He took one box of meat, I asked why only one (I wanted to do more food so that it would be ready for work the next day, as sometimes I am criticized for not caring enough) and he said that I should rather do more than speak. So I went back for the second one, he for something else, in the meantime he sent me to the cashier. We missed the bus by about 20-30 seconds, which I think would have happened anyway, since there were many people at the cashier. We arrived home about 20 minutes later than with 1. bus. Of course, he was nervous right away. We had a plan to go to the woods with the dog and then play a game at home. But the day ended for him because I slowed things, he is looking forward to when he will be at work and basically we had a fight and we haven't even talked since. In this case, it seems completely exaggerated to me. We could watch something on my mobile during that time, I had headphones, so we could also listen to something and have fun on the anniversary...he does mind a few extra minutes, but he doesn't mind hours and days of arguments and silence.
When I tell him my feelings, he’s like he doesn’t care because I don’t care. I begged him many times, that we should talk and not yell. So he talks but the same words that are killing me. And I want him to realize that it’s not all ONLY my fault. He sometimes make mistakes like everyone, but I’m not like this, I rather look for another solution and don’t make argument from this. But many times he didn’t do things he say, for example shopping, wash dish, do laundry (last time was my mistake I didn’t remind him while I was at work) etc…it was not important for him, but for me it was. Or he does things but than I listen for a week what he did. I don’t have cleanest home, bcz I rather spend time in other ways, but basics I try to do every day.
Many times after arguments he told me that he had depression or anxiety, because he want to be nice to me. But he says he don’t want to yell at me and than after few hours/days it’s the same. So he don’t want or want? In basic life he’s the best and cutest person I know.
He told me last argument, that he don’t know how to live different and that his father was rushing his mooooore than me. In past he wanted from me to slow him. And it’s my mistake I didn’t put more emphasis in it. But it’s rare that he do what I say, so I’m a bit used to not tell things. Now I realize, it can be result of me not keeping my word many times, bcz I thought that I can change myself, but some things I can’t or don’t know how yet. And I’m not very confident person and he’s like alfa, so I often think it’s pointless to say something, but I feel I need to change it.
I want to help him not to be so anxious and angry. And not in such rush. I want us to know how to enjoy life not only live. How can I start? He’s ignoring me completely.
tl;dr We are blaming each other for our mistakes, he’s angry because I’m not very smart and clumsy, so I slow him in life. Thereafter for four years more Beren wandered still upon Dorthonion, a solitary outlaw; but he became the friend of birds and beasts, and they aided him, and did not betray him, and from that time forth he ate no flesh nor slew any living thing that was not in the service of Morgoth.
Welcome one and all again to the 2024 Read-Along and Discussion of The Silmarillion here on tolkienfans. For Week 23 (Jun 2-Jun 8), we will be exploring The Quenta Silmarillion (The History of the Silmarils) chapter 19, "Of Beren and Lúthien."
Following the Dagor Bragollach, Barahir and his companions continued to defend their land, Dorthonion. It was to Tarn Aeluin, a lake in the east of that country, that they made their abode. Morgoth could not discover it, and he ordered Sauron to eliminate them. Through Sauron's devices, a member of the group named Gorlim was deceived into revealing the retreat of Barahir, and the company was slain by Sauron's Orcs. All perished, except Beren, son of Barahir, who was away on a perilous errand at the time. Coming to Beren in a dream, a wraith of Gorlim told him all and urged him to return in haste. Alas, he came too late and found his kin slain. He buried his father, and slew the band of orcs responsible, reclaiming from them the Ring of Felagund.
Thus Beren roamed Dorthonion, slaughtering many servants of Morgoth, and so a bounty was set upon his head, and Sauron's armies hounded him to such an extent that he was forced to flee Dorthonion. Journeying through the horrors and terrors of Ered Gorgoroth and Nan Dungortheb he came at length, by paths untrodden, to Doriath, where no mortal had yet been before.
Staggering into the woods of Neldoreth, he chanced upon Lúthien, daughter of Thingol and Melian, dancing in a clearing beside Esgalduin. He became utterly enchanted by her, and his agony departed him, for Lúthien was the most beautiful of all of the Children of Ilúvatar. He called out to her, naming her Tinúviel and as she looked on him, doom fell upon her, and she loved him. For a brief time, long ago in the woods of Doriath, their joy was the greatest that has been, amongst any of the Children of Ilúvatar.
However, Daeron the minstrel loved Lúthien also, and betrayed them to Thingol, who was wrathful. For Lúthien he set above all things, while of mortal Men he took little heed. And so Thingol demanded to know Beren's business in Doriath. Finding resolve, Beren answered that his fate led him to what he sought not — Lúthien. At this, many thought Beren would be slain. Indeed desiring his death, Thingol set upon him the nigh hopeless task of bringing to him a Silmaril from the crown of Morgoth. Only then would he allow Beren to receive Lúthien as his bride. Thus began in earnest, the Quest of the Silmaril.
Turning towards Nargothrond, Beren sought out the counsel of Finrod Felagund, who, recalling his vow to the kin of Barahir, gathered together a band of his most loyal chieftains. Departing from Angband, Felagund used his craft to disguise the group as a pack of orcs, and so they hoped to pass by Tol-in-Gaurhoth unnoticed. But Sauron was suspicious of them, and duelled long in song with Felagund. But alas the victory belonged to Sauron, and stripping them of their disguises, they were made to languish in a deep pit. One-by-one, Sauron sent werewolves to devour the companions in the hope of obtaining their purpose, but all were faithful to their lord. When the wolf came for Beren, Felagund slew it with his bare hands, but in doing so, was mortally wounded. Bidding Beren a final farewell, he died in the darkness of Tol-in-Gaurhoth, the tower he himself had built long ago. Thus ended the fairest and most beloved of the Noldor, Finrod Felagund.
In the hour of Beren's capture, a heaviness fell upon the heart of Lúthien and she left Doriath in pursuit of him. Encountering Celegorm and Curufin, and Huan, the Hound of the Valar, she was glad, but through treachery, the two brothers took her as prisoner to Nargothrond. But Huan had grown to love her and for the first time spoke, giving her counsel, and helped her to escape. With speed, the two came to Tol-in-Gaurhoth at the hour of Felagund's death, and Sauron smiled. For he knew a great reward would await him for the capture of Lúthien, daughter of the Maia Melian. So he sent wolves, including Draugluin, father of werewolves, to capture her, but Huan slew them all. Then Sauron came himself—taking the form of a mighty wolf—and fought with Huan, but not even he could defeat the Hound of the Valar. Thus he was forced to yield Tol-in-Gaurhoth to Lúthien, and he fled. Lúthien removed the ill shadow from that Isle, and came to Beren. Together, they buried the body of Felagund and left that place. And Huan returned to his master, Celegorm.
By chance, the two brothers Celegorm and Curufin came upon Beren and Lúthien near to the Forest of Brethil, and sought to take Lúthien by force and kill Beren. But in that hour, Huan forsook the service of Celegorm and came to the aid of Beren, who leapt onto the horse of Curufin, knocking him off. After taking horse and knife Angrist from Curufin, Beren bade him return, impoverished, to his kin. Being humiliated, Curufin took the bow of Celegorm and fired at Lúthien. Springing to protect her, Beren was hit. Huan pursued the brothers who fled, and upon returning, he brought a herb to Lúthien who, by her craft, healed Beren. Eventually, they returned to Doriath.
There, Beren left Lúthien in the care of Huan and departed for Angband. Arriving at the borders of Anfauglith, Beren lamented in the belief that this would be his final peril and sung the farewell Song Of Parting. But unsought for, Lúthien appeared upon Huan, and came to him once more. Huan spoke for the second time then, counselling Beren that he could no longer save Lúthien from her fate. And so, taking the guise of Draugluin, and the bat-like messenger-of-Sauron Thuringwethil, together Beren and Lúthien passed through perils untold until they arrived, weary and weather-worn, at the Gates of Angband.
To their dismay, guarding the entrance to Angband was a creature of whom no news had previously reached the ears of the Noldor: the great wolf Carcharoth. He was suspicious of them, for news of the demise of Draugluin had reached Angband, and approached them with menace. But by some power of Lúthien, she commanded the wolf to slumber, and into unconsciousness he fell. Then Beren and Lúthien crossed the threshold of Angband, descended down the subterranean chambers, and together wrought the greatest deed that has ever been dared, by Elves or by Men, in the history of Arda. For they arrived in the throne-room of Morgoth — a court filled with horrors untold, where Balrogs patrolled. Lúthien's disguise was robbed of her by the will of Morgoth, and, standing before his gaze, she began to sing for him a song of such outstanding power and beauty, that he was put into dreams of the Void, and he slammed into the ground, unconscious. All his court slumbered. Then removing his wolf-hame, Beren cut, with Angrist, a Silmaril from the crown of Morgoth. It occurred to him then to bring out of Angband not one, but all three Silmarils. But such was not his fate, for Angrist snapped, and a fragment smote the cheek of Morgoth. He groaned. All the legions of Angband stirred in their sleep.
Then fear and terror unknown fell upon Beren and Lúthien, and realising their imminent peril, they fled. But alas, at the surface, they found Carcharoth conscious and wrathful. Beren held the Silmaril high; Carcharoth hesitated, and for a moment was afraid. But his spirit flew into a rage, and he bit off the right hand of Beren, consuming the Silmaril. It seared his innards, and he fled south, howling in a fit of madness.
The fangs of Carcharoth were laced with venom, and death approached Beren. So the Quest of the Silmaril would have ended in despair, but unlooked for, Thorondor came with his Eagles to the aid of Beren and Lúthien, even while droves issued forth from the Gates of Angband, and bore the two away from the reach of Morgoth. South they flew, passing above the hidden city of Gondolin, shining like a jewel in the sun. Yet Lúthien wept, for she feared the death of Beren. The Eagles left them at the borders of Doriath, in the same glade where Beren had left Lúthien and departed on the Quest. Huan came to Lúthien and again, and the two of them tended to him. There he lay, in dreams of anguish, until, as Lúthien's last hopes were fading, he awoke. And it was spring.
Thereafter, he was given the name Erchamion, "the One-handed". The two then tarried for a time in those woods, for it was pleasant to them, but Beren would not forget his Oath to Thingol. So after a time they returned to Doriath, which had fallen into grief at the loss of Lúthien. News of their coming had spread far, and they arrived in Menegroth with a large following.
Beren and Lúthien told the tale of their Quest, to the astonishment of all. It seemed to Thingol then that the Man before him was among the great in Arda, and Lúthien's love was a thing strange to him. It came to his mind then that no power of Elves or Men, or Maiar or Valar, or any other power in Arda, might interfere with their fate. And his mood towards Beren was softened. Thus, at last he relented, and Beren took the hand of Lúthien before the throne of her father.
For a time, there may have been some semblance of peace and joy in Doriath, but out of the north came the beast Carcharoth. A hunting party was assembled, consisting of Huan, the Hound of the Valar, Mablung of the Heavy Hand, Beleg Strongbow, Beren Erchamion, and Thingol, King of Doriath. As they rode forth for the Hunting of the Wolf, a shadow fell upon Lúthien, and to her it seemed as though the world had been drained of all colour, and beauty, and life. The party came upon Carcharoth near the northern waterfalls of Esgalduin. The wolf leapt for Thingol, but Beren came between them, suffering a deadly wound. Huan slew Carcharoth, but was himself fatally injured. Laying beside Beren, he spoke for the final time, bidding Beren farewell. So they parted. Mablung ripped open the wolf and placed the Silmaril in Beren's living hand, who asked Thingol to receive it. "Now the Quest is achieved, and my doom full wrought", he said. And he spoke no more. They bore Beren back to Menegroth, and Lúthien met them. She bade him await her beyond the Western Sea. Opening his eyes, he looked upon her one last time before he died. So ended the Quest of the Silmaril. But the tale of Beren and Lúthien did not end there.
For the spirit of Beren lingered in the Halls of Mandos, awaiting Lúthien upon the dim shores of the Outer Sea, where they could say their final farewell. For it is from there that the spirits of Men depart the world, never to return; such is the Gift of Ilúvatar. The spirit of Lúthien fled her body, and found its way to the Halls of Mandos. Kneeling before the Vala, she sang to him a song so beautifully sorrowful that Mandos was moved to pity. But it was not within his power to alter the fates of the Children of Ilúvatar, and so he called on Manwë, who sought guidance from Ilúvatar.
Two choices were put before Lúthien. On account of her extraordinary labours and grief in life, she was permitted to remain in Valinor, forgetting all pains she had known. But there Beren, being mortal, could not follow. The second choice was that she might return with Beren to dwell in Middle-earth, as a mortal, with no guarantee of joy in life. There, both would be subject to a second death. This second option she chose, forsaking the Undying Lands, for a mortal life with Beren. So it came to pass that long ago, Lúthien Tinúviel and Beren Erchamion at last left the confines of the world, together.[1]

They bore Beren back to Menegroth, and Lúthien met them. She bade him await her beyond the Western Sea. Opening his eyes, he looked upon her one last time before he died. So ended the Quest of the Silmaril. But the tale of Beren and Lúthien did not end there.
For the spirit of Beren lingered in the Halls of Mandos, awaiting Lúthien upon the dim shores of the Outer Sea, where they could say their final farewell. For it is from there that the spirits of Men depart the world, never to return; such is the Gift of Ilúvatar. The spirit of Lúthien fled her body, and found its way to the Halls of Mandos. Kneeling before the Vala, she sang to him a song so beautifully sorrowful that Mandos was moved to pity. But it was not within his power to alter the fates of the Children of Ilúvatar, and so he called on Manwë, who sought guidance from Ilúvatar.
Two choices were put before Lúthien. On account of her extraordinary labours and grief in life, she was permitted to remain in Valinor, forgetting all pains she had known. But there Beren, being mortal, could not follow. The second choice was that she might return with Beren to dwell in Middle-earth, as a mortal, with no guarantee of joy in life. There, both would be subject to a second death. This second option she chose, forsaking the Undying Lands, for a mortal life with Beren. So it came to pass that long ago, Lúthien Tinúviel and Beren Erchamion at last left the confines of the world, together.[1]
