I continue under the hot stream, letting the water embrace me. But then, a noise makes me jump. Was it the curtain moving? My senses are alert now, every little sound amplified in my mind.

The idea that someone is watching me creeps into my thoughts, it seemed like someone lurking in the darkness. But who could it be? There's no one home, at least I think so. A nervous laugh escapes my lips, as I try to convince myself that I'm being paranoid.

I decide to ignore the sensation and continue with my shower. Why let fear ruin my moment of peace? The water continues to fall, the steam continues to fill the air. But the persistent buzzing in my mind keeps me alert, as if I'm waiting for something I know is coming.
​
Then a sharper sound brings me out of my climax. The bathroom door closes with a small slam. What the hell was that? My senses are on high alert now, my heart pounding in my chest.
​
I can't continue ignoring this. He dropped the soap bottle, the sound of plastic hitting the floor. My hands shake as I turn off the water and wrap myself in a towel. I peek out the curtain, but there's no one there. Just an empty room, as always.

A nervous laugh escapes my lips, as I try to convince myself that it was just my imagination.

As I soaped my body, the lingering feeling that someone else was in the bathroom made my muscles tense. With my eyes half-opened by the soap, I make out a blurry figure at the edge of my vision. My uncle? What are you doing here?

My mind is racing a mile an hour, trying to find a logical explanation. Did he need something from the bathroom? Had he forgotten something and walked in without even knocking? But then why didn't he say anything?

I decide to remain calm, feigning indifference. I continue bathing as if there was no one else in the room. What else can I do? I can't confront my uncle while I'm soapy and vulnerable under the shower.

The truth is that, although the situation worries me, a part of me enjoys that feeling of being watched. It's like that emotion has ignited something inside me. What does this mean? I don't know, but I feel a sense of pleasure.

The sound of hot water falling on me, an echo that accompanies my dark thoughts. My breathing becomes slower, trying to hide my rising adrenaline. Why doesn't my uncle leave? What are you waiting for?

I decide to act naturally, as if none of this affected me. I rinse my body quickly, trying not to think about the uncomfortable presence I feel behind me. But despite my efforts to ignore it, I know something was happening.

I decided not to dwell on the matter any more and focus on enjoying the moment of tranquility that the shower provided me. I rinsed my body, feeling pleasure in every touch. The sensation was comforting, it made me enter a transe state.

Then, I turned off the water and stepped out of the shower, wrapping my body in a soft towel. The steam from the bath still hung in the air, creating an atmosphere of peace and serenity. I headed towards my room, determined to leave the strange moment in the bathroom behind me.

After the shower experience, I needed to get those naughty thoughts out of my mind. At that moment I focused on something else: choosing my underwear. For me, it is an almost sacred ritual. I like to try on different outfits and see how they fit my body.

I chose a black lace and held it in my hands for a moment, appreciating its softness and delicacy. With a sigh, I slid the underwear on, feeling how it hugged my curves.

I am taking topik II in 5 months
  1. How do you improve your grammar? is there a method where u can incorporate that grammar structure you have learned?
  2. How many hours you study in a day for listening, Reading, And writing?
  3. Are you taking any course right now?
  4. Do you also study hanja? I am studying hanja to better understand like the root words of korean
  5. How do you study for the writing section?
  6. For the vocabulary, did you follow the Topik vocabulary list found on the internet? or you just memorize what is in the Topik Exam?

Let's be honest, averages in T20 do not matter anymore. You might be best batter of the generation scoring 70 runs off of 45-50 balls every match. But in the larger scheme of things, your knock is much less impactful than let's say 3 batsmen who score 25-30 off of every 12-15 balls they play.
In my opinion, the Orange cap in the IPL should be decided on strike rates, have held this opinion for quite some time, except when Virat score 973 runs LMAO. Even in that season, Virat was only the second best batsman for RCB (973 @ 152) after AbD who struck at (687 @ 170) after playing 16 matches.
How do you balance for the impossibly high strike rates a pinch hitter can accumulate in just one innings? Just present the Orange Cap at the end of the tourney to the leader of the list of players who have played all the matches, regardless of what position they come in or how many balls they get to face. This should negate the necessity for the Impact sub also which has made life for the bowlers a living hell, considering it will make every batsman to strike at a higher pace. Baseballification much? Idk.

I understand that the game won’t save progress unless I play it through from chapter 2 chapter.But I go to stormy night and try to kill Cara, so that in “waiting for Hank”, hank doesn’t get the lead and goes for lunch. But every time I try to play it through from stormy night to waiting for Hank, it completely skips the interrogation. And unfortunately, the last time it registered the interrogation is when Connor gets shot in the and the deviant shoots himself so I can’t unfortunately get the nodes that I’m missing due to deviant being dead and not being able to go into the interrogation chapter without actually having to exit and go to main menu and click the interrogation flowchart. Any ideas what might be causing this bug and how I might fix it so that I can play the chapter through from stormy night to waiting for Hank?????? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I know this game is six years old, but I’m begging you.

So, I am/was in a relationship that lasted about 3 years. Because of work, we live across different states and she has to take a drive for us to be together on weekends. This was an agreement by us both because I can afford an apartment and she rents a single room in a shared house with roomies. She's also in soccer and football clubs, those are some other things she does along the week...
The thing was, I found out she was hanging out with an older guy (~40) from work in week days. She told me she didn't confess before because she was afraid I would get upset and she was already trying to stop things ( also said she didn't had any interest in him beyond friendship). She didn't told me anything about it and we'll, it indirectly affected our relationship. Some of the activities that she confessed are:
Hanging often to the movies Hanging at his place to watch netflix Hanging out to eat
She spent about 2 hours each time at his house and I don't actually know if she's telling the whole truth. This happened about 2-3 times a week for about a year, until I noticed and she had to confess. So, when I approached her about it she told me she was actually very regretful and she was trying to stop things from going on but she had a hard time saying no. She also told me she didn't actually like that much hanging out with him but since he took her everywhere and she felt kinda pity for him, she struggled to stop the situation from going on. I went through some of her WhatsApp messages (it was her idea) and there were no love things or other stuff, but she did initiate that contact sometimes. She swears that nothing beyond the things she confessed happened and I try to believe that is true. When I approached her she tried to deny everything but the truth came out. We had a fight before because she told me a guy at work was being a creep with her and then I saw her texting with that guy, I told her she was being inconsistent by complaining with me and texting him out of the office.
Tbh I feel that the trust I had in her collapsed but she asked me for another chance to make things right. The things that hurt me the most is that when she was hanging with that guy I was trying to find ways to make her happier (looking to buy a house for us both, getting her some stuff she wanted and thibgs like that), which mades me feel really unappreciated. Also, every time in that year when I asked her what was she up to, tmshe told me she was with female friends or chilling at her room.
On top of that, while all of that was happening she was flirting with other guys from the gym, soccer club and football team. She even dated a couple of them but she told me she felt they weren't as good as partners as I am. That's why she didn't look forward into dating them more. The thing is, I feel like I'm keeping a partner that no one else wanted in their lives and she's sticking with me only because she couldn't find any better.
Now, the tells me she regrets everything and just opened the eyes on how much she was losing in this relationship. She tells me she wants to fully commit into this, and things are gonna be different because she noticed that she was losing the "love of her life". Is there a way to forgiveness into so many lies? How can I find a reason to forgive after all this?

2024.05.06 07:53 YoureProbablyALiar Re-installing Win10 a third time on M.2 NVMe now gives error 0x8007025D

I'm so exhausted at this point...
Samsung 990 Pro 2TB NVMe. Asus Z690-E motherboard.
This all started because I changed some windows theme or icon settings and suddenly all my Steam game desktop icons broke. Which I fought with for like an hour and said fuck it and did a clean install,
But then I installed garbage Armory Crate because it said it had LAN drivers, which of course aren't the WiFi drivers I needed, so decided screw it I'll RE-reinstall and NOT install Armory Crate, but that time I saw my drive had like 3 partitions. I deleted the smaller ones and formatted the big one and then tried to re-install and got that error.
Okay, deleting the partitions was a dumb idea, but I thought surely if they were made by windows for the install it would re-create them, or whatever it needed really, and when I first installed windows 10 from my USB boot drive my NVME drive was new and only had 1 partition so why would that matter?
Anyway, since then I can't get it to install no matter what I do.
I formatted NTFS system default and the win 10 install DID create the partitions again which I left alone this time and I'm still getting the error.
I didn't change any BIOS setting between the first, second or third install so I honestly have no idea what's going on. I have tried a few different settings in the BIOS now but no matter what it's always the same error...
Does anyone have any idea what's going on and how I can get Windows 10 to finally install on my NVME drive?

2024.05.06 07:52 WhoAmIEven2 How do I stop feeling so bad whenever my friend, who also up until recently struggled as bad as me, gets a new girlfriend?

I (35M) have always struggled with the ladies. Not incel-level bad, but still struggling. My last girlfriend was 7 years ago, and since then I think I've got kissed once, and laid once as well. I can't remember if the lay was before or after my girlfriend, it may as well have been before.
I also have Asperger's syndrome (technically Autism Spectrum Disorder level 1, but here in Sweden we keep our old diagnosis, so despite the change in the DVS-5 my official diagnosis is still AS), which is probably a big part of the explanation in why I struggle so bad. But at the same time it sucks because I stand out so much in other areas compared to my peers. I have a full-time job as a project manager which can be really stressful both professionally, but also socially. I also live by myself without any state-aid coming home to help with cleaning and such.
I also make friends easily. Even at this age when it's traditionally more difficult, and also living in a country where it is really difficult to make new friends, I make friends easy, both men and women. Everyone loves me and says I'm a great guy.
I'm not a bitter guy, at least not outwardly. I'm happy, inviting, considerate of others and while I don't have many CLOSE friends (about 3-4 of them. I don't have the energy for a million close friends), the ones I do have I tend to hyper-focus on, to care about them and make the relationship as close and good as possible. That has led me to my best friend (F35) to see me as family, where I'm the god father of her child, and we often go on trips together to see each other's families and such.
Now to the main point. I just thought it important to write that I don't consider myself an incel, with all the negative connotations to it. I struggly badly, but I'm not bitter about it. More like sad.
My friend (M32) was just like me, without the ASD, up until about 2-3 years ago. he also struggled really badly with women. We tended to find comfort in that and we used to discuss our situation and gave each other support.
Then he did find his first new girlfriends in like 12 years. I was happy for him considering he had been struggling for even longer than I had. Then our other friend ruined it by sleeping with her, and they aren't talking to each other anymore.
Then it's just like... something clicked for him. Ever since he hasn't struggled at ALL. he has consistently gotten laid at bars and pubs. Last year he got a new girlfriend and unlike the first time, I was still happy, but I also felt an intense pain and sadness. "What did he do that I haven't been able to to "break the code"? We have always been so similar, minus the autism, and now he's living his life". I started to isolate myself from him, not because I was mad at him but because I got literal pains in my stomach seeing him and his girlfriend together and it just hurt too much. It didn't help that he's a very open person and has no problem to start making out with her like a bunch of hormone-filled teenagers whenever we hang out.
It didn't last long, about 4 months because she wanted to move in with him but he says he's too young to move in with someone, and we started to hang out again.
This weekend he told me that he started dating someone in our board games group, consisting of about 8 people. This also hurt like before (I'm still happy for him. How can I stop myself from feeling this way? There is no real jealousy or envy (or well, maybe?). Like I mentioned earlier it's more of a feeling that we have always been so similar, and now we're not. he "figured it out", and I still haven't, and it really sucks, especially when I don't show off general incel behaviour and I AM a happy and social guy. I love people and hanging out with them, and people also love me, at least platonically.
I have tried to talk about it with him, how he "clicked" so to say, but he can just give me abstract things like "I just stopped caring". I have no idea wtf that means. I don't do abstract when autistic. I need concrete ideas. "Not caring" means nothing to me.
How do I stop feeling like this? It fucking sucks because it affects one of my closest relationships with someone I've known for 17 years. Even if I appear normal and happy around him, I've noticed that we HAVE stopped seeing each other as much for the last year and I think the pain and anxiety is a very big part of it.

I am a part of a group of friends that are all sort of scattered places. The farthest person from me is across the country, with the closest person being a 30 minute drive. We all mostly communicate through our Discord, where we used to share about our day and sit in calls together either playing games or just talking about whatever to make up for the fact that we all aren’t directly with each other. Both fortunately for them and unfortunately for me, a lot of the people in the server are dating each other. That fact combined with the distance means that nobody ever has time to spend with me on calls or even in chat. Any friends that aren’t busy with school or work are using their free time on their partners. I can see when they’re online, and can tell when my friends are spending time with other people, and starting recently when I make plans to spend time with my friends I get blown off. I don’t have any other friends and I’m extremely introverted so it’s really hard for me to make new friends, as well as I’m Asexual so I have no interest in getting a partner of my own. I’m just so lonely all the time and I don’t know how to take it. I cry pretty much almost day and wish my friends made time for me too.

So, I (F19) have wasted away while having a grubby part-time job while sharing a room with my sister, in my parent's basement while taking online adult upgrading. My last two years in Highschool-grade 11 and 12-were spent going to a public school where my work ethic, acquired as well as refined through homeschooling, went to absolute shit. For context, I had been homeschooled traditionally since kindergarten, and my parents thought integrating me into the system would provide me with more social opportunities. It did not, as I was the same awkward teen in the corner of the room, reading Manga on my phone.
I didn't do well and got 60s in all of my 30-level classes. It is depressing looking back at it now, knowing that all throughout middle school and grade 10, I had made honours with distinction. By this time, I'd applied to most of my desired Uni programs with no confidence that I would get into them. During my year off, I tried upgrading with no significant results using the local courses offered in my city while working a part-time job.
Though I love them, my parents are becoming more pushy toward my education and finances. I have been taught to save and not spend a penny with no regard towards budgeting or things of financial importance, resulting in a bad spending habit. Since February of this year, I have opened a bank account under my name and obtained a credit card to build up my financial record separate from my family and gain more intense reciprocity to save more. My credit score is a bit in the trenches, but I have been on top of the payments and am hoping that sometime soon, it might increase. I plan to move out at the end of the summer into 1 bedroom apartment. Still, regarding that, I have no idea how to fucking bloody start in terms of looking and applying. I am also getting two more part-time jobs throughout the summer to further lock down my saving
Back to the point, I would be willing to pay out of pocket for it. Does anyone know of any homeschool boards in Alberta that accept mature students wishing to engage in traditional homeschooling? As this is the learning style I found myself most successful in, I want to obtain better marks to apply for scholarships and university yet again. I wish I'd learned my lesson the first time, but I can do nothing now.

How do get this info when importing DV tapes? I don’t need the date information hard coded, I just need to be able to read it.

So for a few months now I’ve had constant shortness of breathe, I got a chest x ray done because I used to vape but quit awhile back and I also got blood work done and a EKG. I could do a stress test on my heart and a heart scan but I’ve been scared about doing them and also think they’re not useful because I’m 22. Basically my symptom is I can’t get a satisfying breathe when I breathe in deep and it’ll cause me to feel really anxious and panicky and the feeling lessens a little when I finally do get a satisfying breathe but sometimes it takes a really long time and I start sweating from my armpits and feet and it leads me close to panic attacks. The only thing that alleviates this sensation is if I put my full attention on a video game otherwise I feel it even trying to lay down or watch something it gets too overwhelming how anxious I feel and I have to distract again. I know it sounds really stupid. I haven’t been going outside because I’m worried of the feeling. It’s really hindering my life. I feel like I’m the only person who’s ever had an issue like this I was diagnosed with somatic symptom disordeOCD and Anxiety but feeling like this is too much to handle. Has anyone else gotten this?

I'm currently a post-bacc Outreach Specialist for a microbiology lab at an R1 research university with a focus on equitable science education/research. I graduated with degrees in biology and psych and a minor in health humanities a couple of years ago.
I've recently become serious about getting my MPH, but I want to explore research more and am applying for a Clinical Research Assistant II position for a OB/GYN health research lab at a private research university. My current work is very community engagement and admin oriented but research adjacent. I've had some undergraduate research experience but I worked with soil bacteria/natural products discovery not people/patients/disease and my other related research experience was mostly literature-based. I haven't formally analyzed data in years, but I do some basic admin data management.
I'm incredibly passionate about this lab's work and it aligns with the area of research I want to pursue during my future MPH, but I'm worried I don't have the clincal experience to standout against better applicants.
What suggestions do you have to make me stand out in my cover letter or resume? How can I express that I might not have the exact experience they're looking for but I'm a fast/eager learner and REALLY want this job without explicity saying I'm underqualified?
