Hanging a deer is never an easy task, but with the HME Game Hanging Gambrel, it becomes a breeze. This heavy-duty hanger is built to last with its 3/8' formed hanger that is fully welded and gusseted for added strength. The special hook design makes hanging the deer an effortless process, and its olive powder coat finish not only looks great, but also adds a layer of protection against rust.
One of the highlights of this product is its impressive 500 lbs. weight capacity. It truly is a heavy-duty tool, capable of handling even the largest game with ease. The 3/8 heavy-duty steel construction adds to its durability, ensuring it will stand the test of time.
However, there are a few aspects of the HME Game Hanging Gambrel that could use some improvement. Some users mentioned that it could be a couple of inches wider, which might make it more comfortable to use. Additionally, others noted that the hooks are upturned, which is a handy feature for keeping the carcass sides on the hook after sawing in half.
Overall, the HME Game Hanging Gambrel is a great choice for anyone looking for a reliable and sturdy deer hanger. Its unique features and high weight capacity make it a top pick among users, and the affordable price is an added bonus. With its great build quality and user-friendly design, this gambrel will surely become an essential tool for those who process their own game.

🔗Golden Deer Hook: Timeless Versatility for Any Room

When I stumbled upon the Gold Metal Deer Hook, I immediately found an elegant solution for my home's decor with a touch of rustic charm. Its minimalistic design allowed it to easily blend in with my existing wall decor, while still making a statement with its sleek gold texture.
As someone who often finds themselves searching for my keys or wallet, the hook's convenient accessibility made it the perfect addition to my entryway. Despite its small size, the durability of the metal held up well over time, proving that less is truly more in terms of style and functionality.

🔗Wildlife-Inspired Wooden Wall Coat Rack

https://preview.redd.it/gp6gllshi44d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=78cdb59cdacb484c23c4c50711be339a7e7c55df
The Deer Antler Wall Coat Rack is a modern piece of wildlife-inspired decor that has the potential to add unique style and practicality to any living space. This handmade wooden wall rack features five hooks for hanging coats, hats, and keys with the maximum load weight of 20 pounds. The sturdy black wooden base is perfect for mounting on a wall without any damage, thanks to the 3M glue (double-sided tape) included at the back of each hook.
One of its most attractive features is its small packaging dimensions, making it easy to store when not in use and travel-friendly. However, this also means that it might take up more space than you initially anticipated when it arrives. Despite its dimensions, the product feels solid and well-constructed, but the wood color is only available in black, which may not work with all home decor styles.

🔗Easy Load & Swivel 360-degree Deer Hanger

https://preview.redd.it/1764iisii44d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fbb7abe440a715d9a19e2b34f96454732cf7726e
I have used the Guide Gear Deluxe Deer Hoist Lift System for a few hunting seasons now, and I must say, it has significantly improved my experience in the field. The system allows me to access and hang my game without any hassle, making the entire process efficient and less time-consuming. The swivel system is a standout feature that makes it easy to position my game in the bed of my truck.
One notable advantage of using this deer hoist is its ability to handle up to 300 pounds with ease. It has a strong and sturdy construction, made of heavy-duty steel, which ensures longevity and durability. Furthermore, it's portable, which means I can easily disassemble the components when I need to transport or store it.
However, there are a couple of things I would like to mention as minor drawbacks. While the installation process is straightforward, the provided crank can be a bit challenging to use, particularly when dealing with the weightier game. Additionally, the hitch system doesn't always stay firmly in place, which might make the task a tad more complicated.
Despite these minor drawbacks, the Guide Gear Deluxe Deer Hoist Lift System has proven to be quite reliable. With a 4.4 rating and 420 reviews praising its capabilities, it's clear that the system has made a significant positive impact on the hunting experience for many users. Overall, I would highly recommend this hoist to anyone looking for an efficient, simple, and affordable way to handle their game in the field.

Recently, I added a touch of rustic charm to my front door with the Northlight 15.25 in. Rustic Bronze Deer Christmas Wreath Hanger. The intricate deer with antlers design was an instant hit, adding a unique and elegant appearance to my door. The one-sided design made it easy to hang, with the large hook securing the hanger with ease. I loved the fact that it was not only a practical solution for hanging my wreath but also a statement piece of its own.
While I was initially excited about this wreath hanger, I did encounter a minor issue with the lack of hardware provided to secure the deer head into the wreath holder. This resulted in a wreath hanging that looked a little incomplete. On the positive side, the hanger was sturdy and simple to hang, and it looked fantastic on my door. In conclusion, with few improvements addressing the missing hardware, this Northlight wreath hanger can become a beautiful and functional addition to any front door.

🔗Pewter Finish Adjustable Deer Hanger Set

Recently, I tried the Deer Sword Hanger and fell in love with it. The 2-inch closed length and adjustable feature allows me to display various items on my wall without taking up too much space.
I appreciate the pewter finish, which gives it an antique touch that adds charm to any décor. However, I noticed that the hanger might be a bit difficult to mount for some users due to its sturdiness. Overall, the Deer Sword Hanger is a great addition to any room, and its versatility makes it a must-have in my home.

🔗Stylish Deer Antler Wall Coat Rack for Key Holders and Accessories

https://preview.redd.it/w8bfn4iki44d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=86f09c337a413c24dba4929df56f6321a3fa142e
As a reviewer, I recently came across the KingLive Deer Antler Wall Coat Rack and decided to give it a try. Upon seeing this unique piece of décor in my home, my friends couldn't help but wonder how functional it was. To put it to the test, I decided to hang my winter jacket, a couple of scarves, and some kitchen utensils on its five metal hooks. Sure enough, the rack handled the weight with ease, living up to its high load capacity.
The stylish deer antler design not only adds a wild touch to my living space, but also serves as a conversation piece for my guests. Installing the KingLive Deer Antler Wall Coat Rack was a breeze, thanks to its adhesive backing, which securely fastened it to my wall without causing any damage.
While the KingLive Deer Antler Wall Coat Rack is durable and lightweight, I did find that the metal hooks could occasionally be tricky to maneuver when trying to hang heavier objects. However, this minor inconvenience is outweighed by the functional design and aesthetic appeal. All in all, I'm quite pleased with my experience using this coat rack.

🔗Deer Head Resin Wall Hook, Safari-Inspired Decor, Keyhole for Hanging

The sturdy construction also makes it versatile, allowing me to use it as a coat hook, hat hook, or even a jewelry hook. Although it doesn't come with any hangings, the attractive deer head design still makes for a stunning wall art piece, even without any items hung on it.
The presence of a keyhole on the back allows for secure hanging, while the size of the hook (6.7"H x 7.5"W x 4"D) adds a touch of elegance to any room. The HERNGEE Deer Head Single Wall Hook is available in various animal designs, including rhino, horse, elephant, sheep, giraffe, and deer, offering a wide range of options to suit individual preferences and spaces. I recently gave these rustic deer head hooks a try, and I have to say, they've become a staple in my living space. The vintage finish adds a touch of flair to any room, and the antler design truly stands out. Mounting them on the wall was a breeze, thanks to the included screw.
They're versatile too - great for hanging keys, towels, or even coats. However, while the cast iron is durable, it's also quite heavy, so be mindful when placing them. Overall, a great addition to any room, but handle with care.

🔗Quality Deer Head Brass Gun Hanger

https://preview.redd.it/vb9dlu2mi44d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=387eb278f1aa310c746f48ed3c389c300cfa3638
I recently had the opportunity to try out the Deer Head Hanger Brass, and let me tell you, it's a game-changer for gun enthusiasts and collectors. The first thing that stood out to me was its solid brass construction, which not only adds a touch of elegance to my gun display but also provides durability.
One of the most convenient features of this hanger is its ability to securely hold guns with diameters up to 1.5 inches. The spring-loaded design effortlessly expands to accommodate various firearm sizes, making it a versatile addition to my collection.
However, I did notice that the Deer Head Hanger Brass might not be the best option for those looking for a minimalist décor piece. Its ornate design could potentially clash with simpler home interiors.
In conclusion, the Deer Head Hanger Brass is a high-quality, stylish, and functional addition to any gun enthusiast's collection. While it might not be the most understated option, its exceptional performance and construction make it a worthwhile purchase.

🔗Authentic 10 Point Buck Deer Wall Hanger

https://preview.redd.it/vpd577emi44d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2077aeb227dc17f38ff1ad259c20e6cb5c8bfa94
I recently had the chance to try out the Ebros 10 Point Buck Deer Bust Wall Hook Hanger. It's a true masterpiece for any hunter's game room or trophy space. Standing at a height of around 8.75 inches tall, it not only adds decorative appeal, but also doubles as a functional hook.
Crafted from designer composite resin, the wall hook is beautifully hand-painted and polished, although be prepared that the color tone might vary slightly. It's a great addition to mud rooms and entryways, and a perfect conversation starter when guests come over. However, I'd recommend anchoring the screw to hang it for a more secure fit.
All in all, the Ebros Bronzed 10 Point Buck Deer Bust Wall Hook Hanger truly captures the essence of a hunting trophy, making it an invaluable addition to your home décor.

🔗Deer Hoist and Carrier: 600 lb. Capacity, Hitch-Mounted for Efficient Hunting

https://preview.redd.it/q4u5pcrmi44d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=700907c52ee4b526a1de45d91c4f60ff1ffe7c01
As a hunter, I've always been on the lookout for gear that makes my life easier. The Kill Shot Hitch-Mounted Deer Hoist and Carrier is one of those gems. It's a two-in-one tool that saves both time and space in my truck bed. When it comes to dressing or skinning game, this hitch-mounted deer hoist and carrier is a game-changer. Not only does it allow me to string up the animal, but it also rotates flat to create a cradled transport for my game. I don't have to swap out the hoist for a carrier when I'm ready to bring my deer home - a major time saver.
The Kill Shot is made from durable, powder-coated steel and supports up to 600 lbs. It attaches to 2-inch hitch receivers, and rotating from hoist to carrier position is as simple as flipping a locking pin. The manual crank winch comes with a strap and snap hook, making it easy to use.
However, there are a couple of things I think could be improved. Firstly, the strap could be a couple of feet longer, making it more versatile. Secondly, the crank winch tends to get full of mud and dirt, which can be a bit of a hassle to clean out.
Overall, this is a great product that has definitely made a difference in my hunting experience. I would highly recommend the Kill Shot Hitch-Mounted Deer Hoist and Carrier to any fellow hunter looking to make their life a bit easier in the field.

Would it be too ridiculous to request MODOK?
Look at the funny guy, I think he could be an interesting addition! Like a flyer with the Half-Life 2 gravity gun that can pick up environmental pieces and occasionally enemies and toss em! Similar to his specials in MVC3.
Plus he has plenty of crazy robot-arm weapons he could swap out.
I kinda admire how this goofy, trolling demeanor bellies a psychopathic monster.

2024.06.02 10:58 lorenzof92 how to better process samples through guitar pedals (with low budget)

Hello,
in order to do harsh noise wall, how can I process samples (48k sample rate, 24bit) through pedals? By now I have 3 options
1 - I have Zoom H1n and H4n so that I could play the sample from one of this, connecting from the headphones output to the pedals and then input into the second recorder, set some limiter or something and record.
2 - Otherwise I have a Focurite Scarlett 2i2 audio interface and from its output i can link to pedals and link the pedals to the inputs, press record on Audacity and play the sample from VLC.
3 - I also have a usb-c to 6.3mm jack to play samples from my phone (or low budget smartphones or the featurephone I recently got, Nokia 6300 4G), connect to the Focusrite and record with Audacity.
I don't think that I have a good hearing and a good audio system to tell the difference between the second and third, and the first has an available built in limiter that could be useful but without the limiter I think I would find the result really close to the other two methods.
I'm asking because I have to give as a present the result to a friend that might tell the differencies that I can't get so if there is a (theorically) better way among these that I have available or if I can get very cheap gear or software to improve a little bit please tell me! And I could use this information also for future bandcamp releases so if you help I can give you a listen and a buck on bandcamp if you have any :D
(I'm aware that most guitar pedals are mono, but to keep the stereoness of the sample I can process first a channel and then the second one with the same - or different if it could to a nice effect - setting)
Thank you merci grazie graçias ありがとう!

2024.06.02 10:57 javajunkie001 AA is breathtakingly horrible

Ladies and gentlemen, in a surprise to no one, the race for the title of Shockingly Incompetent Insufferable Fuck Ups was a dead heat and resulted in a tie between @DFW and @AmericanAirlines.
You really outdid yourselves, idiots. Thanks for absolutely ruining my life this week, and thousands of others. As an added bonus, you managed to do this while shamelessly and flagrantly not giving a single solitary shit.
See you never!

DFW #AmericanAirlines #DangerousIncompetence

CriminalIndifference #WorstExperienceEver #IHateYou

I spent 4 days stranded in the filthy hellhole that is DFW. Waited 5 hours in their customer service line only to be told there was nothing they could do. Waited 5 hours on the phone only to be told there was nothing they could do. They claimed it was a weather issue but when I begged them to let me fly out of Albuquerque instead they said I could only choose an airport in the region. Well every airport in the region was being affected by the same weather!
They act like every storm is the first storm they've ever dealt with. And it was maddening to literally live in the airport for 4 days and watch the storms come and go in the space of a couple hours, but they then blame their mishandling of the planes and crew on it. My flight out was delayed yesterday because they literally COULDN'T FIND the plane. They had towed a bunch of planes from cancelled flights (to allow more planes to land and strand more passengers), and then couldn't locate them. We were standing at the gate with the sign flashing "Now boarding" and there was no plane there. I asked the captain standing at the gate if there was a plane and he said "Theoretically." But they blamed it on weather so denied us all hotel and food vouchers.
Also, the entire AA terminal was shut down overnights while the skies were totally clear, while literally THOUSANDS of stranded passengers slept on the floor or leaned against the walls because there wasn't even anywhere to sit. Other airlines would have been adding flights and bringing in larger planes to get stranded passengers out, especially while the weather was clear, but not AA. They literally let you hang and don't even care if you have food, water or shelter. After witnessing their horrendous practices 24/7 over the past week I can tell you I would never fly with them again, even if there were a nuclear fallout and they were the only airline on earth. It's actually frightening the indifference they display, literally not caring if you live or die. I saw people crying that they needed medication and had run out, had kids and were out of food, we're going to lose their jobs.
Other airlines move crews, move planes, move heaven and earth because they understand their part of the contract is to get you to your destination. AA doesn't do ANY of that and they do not care what impact that has.
You are quite literally taking your life in your hands if you fly with them. I had no idea how bad it could be but thanks, AA, for the very rude awakening.

2024.06.02 10:56 GrammarYahtzee123 Explaining each and every one of Sukuna's techniques, tools, and tricks... so far

Hi. I'm the guy that made this similarly titled post about Gojo's techniques at the beginning of the Shinjuku Showdown arc. A year has passed since then, and now that it seems like Sukuna's barrel of surprises has hit its bottom I'd like to go over all of his abilities as a sorcerer in order to put to rest any debates regarding his strength.
One note before we begin, I will be using the TCB's names for techniques and other proper nouns. I do not support John Werry.
Miscellaneous Jujutsu
Innate Technique: Shrine
Domain Expansion: Malevolent Shrine
This is a big enough topic that I think it merits its own section
Borrowed Technique: Ten Shadows
In the interest of not going over every minute detail of a technique that only somewhat belongs to Sukuna, I will only make note here of changes he made to the technique in order to increase its effectiveness
Binding Vows
Since Sukuna now has a reputation as the Binding Vow merchant, we may as well discuss all of them in detail
I really think I covered everything this time, but feel free to provide any corrections in the comments otherwise! Hope this list helps :)

2024.06.02 10:53 defmancc Bigfoot - Alien Grays - UFOs connection & Cabal New World Odor Criminals

I connects the dots. Such is my suspicious mind noticing things and connecting them, smh
I joined the dots. The documentary "Two Face: The Grey" and just now, "Mountain Devil 3: The Bigfoot Invasion".
The government and their masters the mega ultra rich wealthy obsessive control freaks aka (powers-that-be) runs black ops on all sorts of things. I'm just layman, so I'm putting what I think is going on.
There's the cabal, ultra rich scumbags with their obsession with power, money, and their dark worship of lucifesatan the moron, who happens to be "the prince of the AIR".
They took the Nazi's Bell UFO, which they backengineered stealing a ufo in Antarctica when they went there to search for oil and uranium but found the alien greys and giant bronzed entities who forbids them to drill for oil and uranium. How they took the ufo is not told.
So the US government took that ufo derived Nazi bell and uses it in their operations to abducts people, mutilates cattle, take their DNA, flesh, samples, whatever, for their own purposes, and be damned to people and cattle farmers.
They develops certain technologies, awful techs.
Two Face: The Grey was sanctioned by Australian government, to LEGITIMISES that there IS real "alien greys"... it's part of their agenda, with their bosses in the cabal scums.
Dr Steve Greer knows these cattle mutiliations are NOT by real aliens, if any. It is staged, faked by the black ops criminals. It's all part of their agenda, a sick agenda to frightens the world into submission to these cabal freaks, all for the sake of their insane new world odor ideology, run by a single scumbag at the top. That's clear enough.
These bigfoots that goes around murdering peopole after being dropped from ufos... clearly I sees through their lies... it's the black ops doing the same stupidities, same agenda, it's all slowly staged over the years, they are patient, no doubt of it, patiently building scenarios, in order to sow terror and fear in the public of these "creatures"...
Then there's the AI they worked on, developing AI until they gets their robots working, so they clothed those robots with the stolen DNA mixed with cattle and humans they abducted and mutiliated, created on conveyer belt, according to Dr Steve Greer. These AI programmed to kill, abduct, whatevers, anywhere dropped on certain places and carefully monitored to achieve the maximum effect, create panic, fear, terror in the populace.
The Grey in Sydney witnessed in the Sir NoFace documentary, to give it legitimacy, all part of the cabal agenda.
The bigfoots. The orbs. The ufos. The grays. Add them up.
What do you get? Let's not forget the Project Blue Beam idiocy they plans to projects holograms of ufos, huge seeming spacecrafts all over the skies, all to frighten the populace in every country, all for ONE agenda - to SCARE everyone into submission to their idea of UNITING MANKIND under ONE leader in their New World Odor ideology they so craved.
What does this reminds you? The bible gives some clues, despite the puns left there by the cryptojoos aka the cabal, aka the Phoenician Navy, as Miles W. Mathis exposed them for what they are.
Many WILL follows these lying criminals, and be doomed.
The few who refused to foillow their lies, will be saved.
So okay, maybe I'm wrong, maybe I'm right, I do not know, but the clues are so glaringly obvious, when I saw the connections between all these things. It's insane. I hoped it's insane. BUT... the recent insane covid scamdemic, the obvious HUGE increase in the elites' wealth, and the less wealth for the rest of us... well, gee, I don't know, it seems like there's another scam, maybe, on the way.
Fricking greedy scumbags, they never quit, do they? Sighs. So tired of these shitstained morons meddling with our lives. They have no right, yet they assume they have our collective IMPLIED CONSENT to do whatever they wants to us, without our permission, without our say so. Such is their criminality. Such is their alien mindset, some kind of soulless psychopath mindset or some stupidities.
I can't help point all this out.
I hoped to God that I am wrong.
I hoped things are getting better for all of us, not the selected few who already have too much already.
But... yeah, the but... the world still seemed so effed up. It makes me thinks it's DELIBERATE. So tired of these negative-minded criminals, obsessing over controlling us, stupid obsessive control freaks that they are.
I don't understand their stupid mentality. I'll never understand them. They are so backward and upside down. Even inside out. Totally insane. I don't get it. Utter greed for power, more power, more power, more power, acting like BULLIES, Right Man Syndrome, King Crab Mentality, bossy freaks. And huge wealth, that they can never spend and get rid of in their short lifetimes. Stupid. We're all supposed to live happy lives, not miserable scraping by saving every cent while they lives high off the hogs and laughing at us. God damn them and their greedy empty soulless guts. Stupid freaks.
I am grateful Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and I'll always believed in Him, cos he offers us a way out of all these insane shits on this earth, and these stupid lucifesatan worshiping retards, ayuh.
So I'm not worried, anyways, no matter what evil shits going to happen, I puts on the Armour of God and nothing of these evil pricks can ever hurt us, ever. We are protected, in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

The Phoenix Contact 2800491 Surge Suppressors have been a game-changer in my daily life. These handy little devices offer superior λ/4 technology, acting as a protective shield for all my coaxial signal interfaces. I've found they're incredibly efficient and provide protection up to a peak surge current of 6 kA.
The unit is designed with a male/female SMA connector, which allows for seamless connectivity. It also houses a neat SMA plug at the end. However, make sure you have a bit of extra room, as the width measures up to 47mm. Don't worry about depth or height though, they're quite compact at 70mm x 25mm.
Despite being powerful little protectors, they're quite easy to install and maintain. The unit comes with IP55 degree of protection, which means you don't have to worry about it getting wet from a splash of liquid. It also has a pretty nifty mounting type, making it easy to pop in wherever needed.
So, if you're looking for reliable surge suppression while maintaining a neat and tidy setup, the Phoenix Contact 2800491 Surge Suppressors are just the ticket.

I recently tried out the APC ProtectNet, a standalone analog/DSL phone line surge protector, and I must say it's been a reliable protectant for my phone line and Internet connection. This sleek device, measuring 47mm in width, 28mm in depth, and 103mm in height, is a simple yet effective solution for safeguarding my components.

Apologize to the tech gods, the SurgerArrest 3-Phase Surge Suppressor from APC is here to save our sensitive electronics. I've been using it daily for a couple of weeks, and I must say, this is one heck of a device.
One of the first things I noticed was the Protection Working Indicator. It's a small, reassuring light that keeps me calm knowing my data is being well-protected against all those invisible electric dangers lurking around the corner. This device has made me more aware of the potential risks my electronics face on a daily basis. Just think how many devices in our daily lives could use a product like this!

It's like an invisible knight in digital armor, silently standing guard over my data, ready for action whenever needed.
However, it's also the features I can't see that got me excited. For example, the APC SurgeArrest 3-Phase has a NEMA 312 enclosure, which means it's designed to withstand harsh industrial environments. And don't forget the Thermal Overload Protection. It's like having a built-in thermal safety valve that releases heat build-up before it can cause a damaging fire.
My use of this product has definitely made me more aware of the importance of proper electrical surge protection in our sensitive data-driven world, and the SurgerArrest 3-Phase Surge Suppressor has been the unsung hero among my daily gadgets.

I recently tried using the SurgeArrest from APC as part of my daily routine, and I must say it's been a game-changer. With its sleek NEMA 312 enclosure, it fits perfectly in my outdoor or indoor setup, making it incredibly versatile for all sorts of situations. The thermal overload protection has been a lifesaver—it's like this little hero that steps in when my MOVs need help, saving my equipment from untimely damage.
But there's one standout feature that has impressed me the most: the Protection Working Indicator. There's just something reassuring about knowing exactly what the SurgeArrest is up to, and being able to remotely monitor its TVSS alarm status. It's like having my own surveillance system for my electronics!
The only thing that gave me a bit of a jolt was the Audible failure alarm, which seemed a little alarming at first. But once I understood it served as an indication of a damaged surge suppressor, it became part of my new routine. It's a small price to pay for peace of mind, wouldn't you agree?
Lastly, I was ecstatic to realize that the SurgeArrest was designed with energy conservation in mind, saving me a few bucks in the long run. All in all, it's been a fulfilling experience using the APC SurgeArrest, and I wouldn't trade it for anything.

I recently used the Ubiquiti IS-M5-US 5 GHz IsoStation Airmax, a pole-mountable wireless access point that offers excellent performance and precision. The key feature I loved is the interchangeable horn antennas, which allowed for easy customization and enhanced beam shaping. Changing the antennas was as simple as pressing a single button, and the all-metal construction provided durability.

🔗APC SurgeArrest 2PH + g - Robust Surge Suppressor with Protection Indicators and Manual Disconnect

https://preview.redd.it/xa2s6t1tg44d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a803b72938d9fdf35b17120763c5fd4b5134138c
The APC SurgeArrest surge suppressor has been my trusty sidekick for months now. In all my daily interactions with appliances and electronics, it has been the unsung hero, diligently guarding them from potential power surges and spikes. The lightweight surge protectors are designed to work without fail and that's precisely what they've done. They've got these handy individual phase modules that, when needed, can be replaced without having to unplug a bunch of devices. The whole process literally takes minutes and it's a feature I've grown to appreciate greatly.
But what's really impressive is the surge counter feature. It logs the number of power surges the unit is exposed to and honestly, I'm still trying to wrap my head around it. It feels like a little radar that's been tucked away somewhere, unobtrusively tracking incoming power surges like a digital sentinel.
Then there's this incredible feature, the audible failure alarm. It's almost like having your own personal security guard. If the surge protector takes a hit, it emits a loud alarm. It's a real life saver because let's face it, I've been known to forget about the surge protector and just leave it in the background. But not anymore, because this alarm literally ensures it's on the top of my mind.
It's also interesting to note the NEMA 3R / 12 enclosure. It's specifically designed to meet the requirements of both indoor and outdoor applications, which is quite handy because it means the surge protector can work in any environment without any issues.
But of course, there's the downside. The manual disconnect switch is a useful feature, but it means that sometimes, when I need to temporarily unplug something, I have to remember to manually press the switch. It's like the surge protector is asking me for permission before I can unplug it, which can be a bit of a hassle at times. There's also the alarm contacts, which, while useful for monitoring, can also be a bit overwhelming at times. It's like being constantly tied to the surge protector, even when I don't necessarily need to be.
Overall though, the APC SurgeArrest surge suppressor is a reliable device that has helped me keep my appliances and electronics safe from the potential dangers of power surges and spikes. It's not perfect, but it sure is worth having on your side in this digital age where we heavily rely on electronics.

🔗Phoenix Contact 2905415 Surge Protector for Power Supply Networks

https://preview.redd.it/hir8lhftg44d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d8bc5c723f09b567091ab81118243054f6159aea
Imagine using a lightning arrester in your daily life, like the Phoenix Contact 2905415 Surge Suppressor. In my experience, it made my power supply network much safer. One of the best features was the mechanical coding of the base element and plug, which prevented incorrect assembly.
I also found the labelling option for the protective plug and terminals on the base element extremely useful. Plus, having two biconnect terminals each for N and PE made connecting round conductors and wiring bridges easier than ever.
However, there were a couple of downsides. The device was a bit large at 95.2 x 71.2 x 74.5mm, making it less convenient for smaller spaces. Also, the surge suppressor could get quite hot with a maximum operating temperature of +80°C.
Overall, the Phoenix Contact 2905415 Surge Suppressor is a reliable choice for protecting your power supply network from lightning currents, as long as you've got the space for it and can handle the heat.

I recently tried out the Ubiquiti PrismStation AC PS-5AC, a 5GHz 14dBi CPE with a removable horn antenna, and I must say it's a game-changer for wireless connections. The focus on directing RF energy in a tighter beamwidth and filtering noise has significantly improved my network's performance and stability.
One of my favorite features is the flexibility in sectorization for optional antenna beamwidths, making it suitable for various deployment environments. The interchangeable horn antenna also enhances beam-shaping, ensuring the best coverage for my area.
However, one downside I encountered was the potential need for additional accessories, like the Aem5 Suppressor, for some specific deployment situations. Overall, I'm happy with the improvement in noise immunity and impressed with the Ubiquiti PrismStation AC's performance thus far.

2024.06.02 10:48 Throwaway_Acc887 Postpartum Anxiety really getting to me - relative kissed my 5 week old baby.

My partners grandmother was visiting today and she kissed our 5 week old baby on the face.
The trouble is I wasn't close enough to see exactly where she kissed her, she was holding her and I just saw her get very close to my baby's face and then heard multiple smooch noises, I didn't say anything as I was in shock and she left pretty much straight after that.
I'm so upset as we haven't had any issues with people breaking boundaries or trying to kiss the baby until now. My anxiety is through the roof and I don't think has been this bad the whole time my baby's been born.. I've worried about plenty of things but not to this extreme level where I just feel sick from dread. I tried googling it for some reassurance but everything that came up only warned about how dangerous it can be so made me more stressed.
I feel really really worried, I think not knowing exactly where my baby was kissed is making it a lot worse but I am pretty certain she kissed her on her mouth. As soon as she left I wiped my baby's face and mouth with a baby wipe but I doubt that would actually do anything if something was passed on, she didn't have any obvious illnesses or cold sores but it's also winter where I live so it's cold and flu season 😭 I'm just so down about this and it's getting me down about post-partum anxiety in general - I love my baby more than anything and it sucks worrying that something awful could happen to her. Especially if it was from something so stupid and avoidable as a kiss from a relative.
I've been pretty relaxed about visitors until this point, most of them have been either friends or my partners family as my family live 5 hours away but now I just feel overwhelmed that his family are coming to see her so much, I've done a complete 180 and just wish people would stop wanting to see her every week.
I don't know what I'm looking for here but I just want to feel like things are ok again, my partner isn't worried at all and is almost making fun of me for thinking the baby is gonna "die from kisses". I hate this.

2024.06.02 10:48 Lostovia Critique my power system

Ok so i had made this a while ago and i was very proud of it, but i wanted it to be a little more original. I'm mostly looking for critique.
To start off, there are two of the anchors of my whole power system. Flow and Ebb. Flow is a metaphysical energy that latches onto concepts and ideas, Stable flow, which is just flow, likes to create boundaries for itself, while unstable flow can become anything. It can also combine different concepts. Users with dreamsprites have a large amount of it.
Ebb is a naturally occurring energy that builds up within individuals who lack a Dreamsprite companion. This accumulation could occur over time, gradually enhancing the user's physical and mental attributes, as well as granting them access to Ebb abilities. Most ebb users have a zone casting. They're usually not very strong and are mostly used for distractions. What they can do is condense their zone into really cool weapons. This gives them at least something to hang with the dreamsprites.
Zone castings and limit breakers.
Zone castings are basically domain expansions from jjk, but are more linked to the soul. The user can expand their soul/dreamsprite in a designated area. Zone castings are able to change the environment for their own benefit. Basically imagine a guy with the ability to create a zone where everything becomes super hot. Zone clashes usually end in s tie, wether or not A is stronger than B. They can become more potent through the act of chanting. I made this to have it equal out and not have too big of a gap between the smaller guys of my verse. They have the chance to actually hurt the big boys.
limit breakers. This is a side effect of an ability, usually an ability that amplifies the strength, speed, or durability of the user. They also give a durability boost against zone castings, relative to how much stronger the opponent is to themselves. Again, to let them have a chance at glory.
There exists little creatures that come into the dreams of those of blood descendants, they are called dreamsprites. Dreamsprites can come in many shapes and sizes, with the little ones being seeable and the bigger ones being in spirit. There are different classes of dreamsprites. The most common one being Metamorphose
Metamorphose are dreamsprites that have the ability to change the nature of their partners physicality. They also have the ability to change things around them, which is called a zone casting.
Emanater. A Dreamsprite specifically designed to bond with the person's aura, augmenting their abilities. this is called a Limit Breaker. Most Limit breakers are classified by how potent they are, some auras just give the user a subtle strength boost but make up for it with their abilities. You can only see them when they're not being used.
noumenons. They are usually associated with Nightsprites. These guys are connected to their user through the soul. They cannot be seen. They are usually bigger than most dreamsprites. They show themselves when the user activates a zone casting. They make the zone of each user stronger and more complex.
Legacy Bonds. When a user dies, their creature may pass on to a new user who shares a similar dream or affinity. This creates a cycle of reincarnation and renewal, as creatures continue to exist through the dreams of successive generations of users.
.
Evolutionary Paths. Dreamsprites could follow different evolutionary paths based on their interactions with their users and the experiences they accumulate over time. These paths could lead to the emergence of new abilities, forms, or behaviors that reflect the evolving nature of their relationship with their users.
Symbiotic Growth. The evolution of Dreamsprites could be closely tied to the growth and development of their users. As users overcome obstacles and achieve personal growth, their Dreamsprites could undergo corresponding changes and transform, influenced from the environment around them.
Adaptive Responses. Dreamsprites could adapt to changing circumstances and challenges by evolving to meet the needs of their users. For example, a Dreamsprite that specializes in defense might evolve to become more resilient and versatile in response to increasingly complex threats, while a Dreamsprite focused on support might develop new abilities to aid their user in different situations.
I wanted to add more to this, with beings called nightsprites. They're basically dreamsprites, but are made from nightmares. Those who possess these nightsprites are ones of newly made dreams, but are usually ones that were passed on. Basically a curse. Nightsprites are less potent, but nine times out of ten more versatile than normal dreamsprites. Because nightmares are so complex, it shows in their intricate abilities. Nightsprites are initially made of pure ebb. The user must get over the fear or something that they don't like in order to use the nightsprite at full capacity. Nightsprites are less forgiving, but once you've learned to conquer your fears, only then will you get to use the nightsprite. For this reason they are more rare than normal dreamsprites. These guys are most common in the noumenons category.

2024.06.02 10:47 fuzzomorphism Recommendation: (Indie?) (c)RPGs that play well on Deck

I bought SD a few months ago, it's so far the best gaming purchase I've made, however some of the things I expected to play I don't like so much, like playing CRPGs.
Since I was really struggling to play RPGs on my PC purely because I don't want to sit at my desk after work, I was hoping that I would go through them on my deck. But I don't like the experience so much...while the games run well, they don't play well (in my opinion). What I mean by it, is that in games such as BG3, Expeditions: Rome there is either a lot of text that is not easy to read (like with expeditions) or a lot of small objects and details that I might miss, or I just don't see what it is (like with BG3). The games that I had somewhat better experience were Wasteland 3, and Disco Elysium (yes, the latter has a bunch of text, but it's all voiced, so it works).
The games that plays extremely well was Persona 5, however I think this style of games is not really for me, I just got bored after ~15-20 hours (similar with some other JRPGs that I've tried, like Yakuza, Xenoblade, Valkyria Chronicles, SMT).
I know that most of RPGs run well, and you can map mouse and keyboard to the controller, and some people love it, but I don't. So I guess my target would be a game that was made playable on Consoles also, and the UI was build with the controller in mind.
I do have a Nintendo Switch, and some of the RPG games that I loved playing there were SW: Kotor (maybe my favorite game), Bug Fables, Triangle Strategy, Paper Mario, but I know that expect of Kotor, none of these are CRPGs, and don't scratch the same itch that CRPGs do, and maybe I'm talking more from the UI perspective.
I just saw the game SKALD: Against the black priory, and was thinking how do interface and the game look ideal for Steam Deck until I saw that the controller is not supported.
So, TLDR: Any RPG that is built with controllers (and smaller screens) in mind, I don't care about the graphics, I would like a good story out of it. The closest I can think of is SW: KOTOR on one end, and Bug Fables on the other.

2024.06.02 10:41 Latter_Investment_64 What to do about a domestic violence situation with abusive parents?

We're both 18+. In PA. Boyfriend's parents are abusive and neglectful. The only proof we really have, though, is a million texts where he vents to me about the shitty things his parents do, and the condition of the house itself, which is frequently a mess due to the neglect (and then the parents' excuse to abuse their children). I asked him recently to try and record their interactions, but his phone is currently broken. So, no dice there.
His parents have been amping it up lately and he doesn't know how much longer he can hold out. He thinks they're going to kick him out soon. He can't stay with me; my dad is racist and he's black and my dad will call the police. Extended family isn't much better. He has no one else, I'm the only person he really talks to. He's been looking for shelters he could run away to and live in for a bit until we can get an apartment, but they're telling him he needs to be actively on the street in order to maybe be eligible for help. I've been applying for apartments left and right but we're just fucking teenagers working in food service, we can't afford anything. I'm just hoping to god someone takes pity.
He once joked to me a year or two ago that if he ever got kicked out, he'd be in terrible shape, and started listing off potential injuries from a violent assault by his parents. We're both scared. What can we do? Is there anything we can do?

2024.06.02 10:39 Potential_Occasion_5 Did I do the right thing?

This was a few years ago now. At the time I 17m and my new wife 21f got pregnant and had a kid. Sorry but this is a long story..
A bit of needed back story though… when I was 6 my parents divorced due to my dad cheating on my mom. I didn’t realize until I was older but my dad was what you would call an abusive drunk. My mom was verbally abusive and high on pills all the time. When my parents finally got divorced I remember couch surfing with my mom because we got evicted from the house since she wasn’t able to keep a job. My dad did pay child support but I have no idea what would happen to it. There were a lot of guns, drugs, violence, and death in my younger years. I turned 12 and started to understand everything and saw my dad turning his life around with his new wife so I decided to move in with him. It was a rough couple of years but it worked out in the end. That said onto the story..
That summer was a very fulling time in my life. I graduated high school, signed up for the military, and got married in 2019. I was in boot camp for the first 10 weeks of my wife’s pregnancy as it was our only income. Flash forward to us going to my first duty station. My first duty station ended up being 5 hours away from my father’s, and 3 hours away from her parents. In early 2020 our beautiful son was born. This where things started getting bad. My wife was suffering from postpartum and refused to get treatment. So instead, her treatment was going to her parents for a few weeks at a time. Besides her mom knowing my son better than I did, this worked out well. My wife and kid were happy and healthy besides a few mental breakdowns here and there. Then Covid and the Riots started happening. I was stationed on the outskirts of a large city. My base ended up restricting travel to 50 miles outside of base (this meant I wasn’t able to drive my wife and son to her parents anymore as I’d be breaking no less than 4 articles of the UCMJ if I was caught) this is where things took a turn for the worst. My wife got separation anxiety as this was the longest she’s ever been away. We started arguing a lot more often. Everytime I went to work, she would just stay in bed with our son and do nothing at all. I got very stressed but managed to juggle a 70 hour work week, feeding and taking care of my family, cleaning our apartment, and taking care of all the bills and expenses. My command decided to put me in something called ASF which basically means twice a week on top of my regular job, I’d now do gate guard duty and work with the MP’s on a 14 hour rotation. Things got so loaded on to my metaphorical plate that I developed stress related sleep apnea and couldn’t get a good nights rest on top of all of this. Months go by and nothing is getting better. I’ve recommended therapy, couples therapy, trying to go on walks, talking it out.. my wife didn’t want to do any of it. What’s worse is still wasn’t able to hold of get to know my kid very much at all. It got it he point that in August of 2020 I decided I wasn’t going to let my kid grow up how I grew up and asked for a divorce. I didn’t want him to grow up living with resentment towards his mom and dad, I hated every second of the arguing that took place in front of him, even if he didn’t understand. It broke my heart but I felt we’d do better co parenting instead of being together.
The divorce goes through and it was uncontested. My ex wife fell in love with her best friend from her hometown and was able to quickly move on and marry within a year. She got main custody and I got weekends. I started paying child support 3 months before I had to bc I wanted to make sure they were taken care of. She moved back in with her parents, however, and this caused some strain once we were divorced seeing as how I still wasn’t allowed to travel up there that often. Things got worse between me and my now ex wife dues to the travel ban and her not willing to compromise that much. From January of 2021 to July I was only able to see my kid about 5 times in total. In July my state decided to lift the travel ban and so did my base!
I started making plans and a schedule that my ex agreed to at first. Me and my ex were not very friendly to each other however. I resorted to only texting her about making plans surrounding my son. Bc of this she retaliates and won’t let me see him. It got to the point to where I was calling the cops so they could knock on her door as I stayed by my car. There is body cam footage, recorded phone calls, text messages, and screen shots of her refusing to let me see my kid. My ex then decides to file for more custody and more child support. Wishing 2 weeks I had to take leave, find and hire a lawyer with no money to my name, gather my evidence, and show up to court on a Thursday. Thankfully my loving aunt helped me pay a portion of the retainer so we could get things started with the lawyer. My wife also filed a temporary restraining order against me stating I was “violent and a danger to her and our kid” I had evidence to prove otherwise however, so I wasn’t worried. My lawyer stated this would be considered a separate case thus doubling my retainer. At this point in time I’m living on 70% of $30,000 a year, maxed out my credit cards to pay bills, and had to find an extra $10,000 for this lawyer. My wife lived in a small town so he was literally the only other option for me. This lawyer was terrible though. He told me I had to file my own affidavit, subpoena the officers linked to my case number for the body cam footage, and file all my evidence with the court due to the short notice. I didn’t have access to half the websites due to them costing money and needing an attorneys credentials so needless to say, I didn’t get the body cam footage. Court time appears and the judge grants that I’m allowed to do supervised visits every weekend until the new year. Once the new year came I would’ve been allowed to see him on the original plan for every other week unsupervised. This had me livid, but I accepted since I just wanted to see my kid. A few weeks go by and I’m finally getting to know my son. He was the only thing that kept me going in life at this point. He was and still is my main source of happiness. My lawyer calls me randomly one day stating that my wife put on the terms that my son wasn’t allowed to see my grandparents or my aunt when he was going to start staying with me every other weekend. No reasons were given. I of course denied these changes and wanted to keep the agreement how it was. Atleast then I could keep seeing him. My ex text me later that day stating “my lawyer asked me to inform you that since you refused to sign the updated agreement the restraining order is now back in place” I called my lawyer and immediately asked him to figure this out as this shouldn’t be legal. My lawyer then asked for another $5000 as it’s another case. I told him fine but he needs to actually do some work this time. He said he’d get back to me in a week with an update. A month goes by and I end up calling him asking what the situation was with my current case and he asked for the money to be paid before he looks into it. I told him that’s not what we agreed and that I’m making regular payments as you requested. My lawyer flat out says it’s not enough. I need it up front since I don’t believe you’re able to pay it. He was right I wasn’t able to pay it but I was trying my damndest to. I took 2 weeks to deliberate and talk to family and friends about my whole situation. At this point I’m now $12,000 in lawyer debt ($3,00 is what my aunt help with earlier) $15,000 in credit card debt and surviving off of $50-$100 a week for food and gas. I can’t sleep, I’ve gained 70 pounds in the span of a year. I was getting in trouble with the military for being late due to lack of sleep, being overweight, and rarely being at work since I had to go to my ex wife’s town to fight this custody battle so often. Ultimately I decided that this is turning into my parents divorce where they were putting me and my brother in the middle of all of there disagreements and fights. That’s exactly what I was trying to prevent, so I decided I couldn’t bring myself to hurt my son with all of this anymore. I’d keep a folder full of all the screen shots, text messages, photos, affidavits, etc. when he gets older, if he decides he wants to give me a chance… if he even knows about me, I’ll have it ready for him to read so he can make his own decision. This was the hardest thing I’ve ever done and I still don’t know if it was the right thing to do..

2024.06.02 10:38 Sorry-Ad9577 Hey Nepali Community!!!!!

Since some politicians and Nepalese doubt the Late King (Crown Prince) Dipendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev, I wanted to say something on my behalf. Firstly do you guys think he’d be so enraged and blinded by love to kill his god-like parents and his siblings who he loved even more than himself? I do not think someone who’d be so drunk not even to be able to stand up properly would be so focused to aim at 9 people. It’s like so dumb of people to think someone would be so heartless as to kill his parents and siblings. The other thing, is RAW and CIA had opened their offices right near Former King Gyanendra Shah’s house right before 1 week, this was said by Wayne Madsen, an American. I am not blaming Former King Gyanendra but I am saying that it must be RAW and CIA’s plan to ruin the whole of Nepal. We all know King Mahendra was strictly against making Nepal a part of India and how much India resented Late King Mahendra for doing so. We also have been hearing that the reason King Mahendra died could be the brutal nature of India since they declared one part of Pakistan as Bangladesh. So King Mahendra thought if India didn’t leave such big countries like China and Pakistan, why would they leave a smaller country like Nepal was his thoughts and therefore he died. And if you all think I’m stating false things you can read a book named “RAKTAKUNDA”. Moreover, Bangladesh was formed on March 26, 1971, and King Mahendra passed away on January 31, 1972. You can see that King died right one year after Bangladesh’s formation. We’ve heard many theories in the last two decades, but are we still going to believe the lies fed by MR RAJIV SHAHI? The thing is three investigators had to look through the whole case but suddenly one of them backed out, not only that, but the fact that the investigators:- a two-man committee comprising Chief Justice Keshav Prasad Upadhaya and Speaker of the House Taranath Ranabhat investigated just for a week for a tragic incident that ruined the whole Nepal was so unacceptable. They could increase the time limit but they did not. Isn’t it evident that the Nepali politicians, investigators, and guards everyone took the massacre too lightly?? And why weren’t the royal guards questioned, why weren’t the royal family members who survived questioned? People say the guards weren’t allowed to enter the Tribhuvan Sadan(the place where the massacre took place) but the ADCs were present in a nearby office which wasn’t that far from the Sadan. You can watch:- Royal Massacre - Part 1 (3D Animation) and Durbar Hatyakanda - 3D Animation (Part 2) to understand my statements better. CP( Crown Prince) Dipendra’s ADC Gajendra Bohara stated that CP was already shot when the firings were still being shot and the other members. CP’s body did not have any guns beside him so how can one say he committed suicide? He was shot from behind. So, it makes no sense to blame CP Dipendra for the massacre. I’ll tell you guys one thing I read from Raktakunda:- CP Dipendra liked Devyani as per what we know, but King Birendra and Queen Aishwarya had already decided the date for CP Dipendra’s marriage with Supriya Shah. The worker who was appointed for the queen herself was told that Dipendra had agreed to marry Supriya Shah after much insistence since Nepalis consider it an omen to break off a marriage tie after looking for a suitable date. The marriage was supposed to take place after 1.5 years of deciding the date because the Panditji (the priest) said it would be better for CP to marry after he turned 31 in June 2003. Some rumors say:- Devyani and her parents performed tantric rituals on Dipendra, so he’d be totally over Devyani. Moreover, Devyani’s dad would send her abroad wherever CP Dipendra went so they’d initially develop a relationship. The fact that Devyani ran away to India right after the day the royal massacre took place is so suspicious. According to Lala Bd. Lamteri, a guard in the palace, Paras Shah( Gyanendra’s son ) went out and brought a few men dressed in black, what was the exact need of those men? Well, as per a few informers, Prince Nirajan Shah( Dipendra’s younger sibling) was in Pokhara with his friends a few days before the massacre, but Paras Shah insisted or let’s say forced him to go back to Kathmandu. In contrast, Prince Nirajan planned to visit Chitwan with his friends. Here comes another question:- Why did Paras insist Prince Nirajan to go back to the palace?? A worker named Shanta was also an eye witness who stated that she saw two CP Dipendra in the location. But how is it possible for one man to be in two places at the same time? The statement takes us back to the movie ‘The Matrix Reloaded’ which depicts the use of masks to look like the same man. So it could be two different people wearing masks to look like CP Dipendra and blame him for the tragic incident. This conspiracy theory has been all over Nepal, not just one person but more than two people have said that they saw two CP Dipendra whereas he was shot before anyone. Talking about the weapons not being beside his body, a guard threw a gun from his pocket saying:- Why’d a gun be needed in hospital? However, according to the ADC and the investigators, there was no gun found beside him, so the guard that placed the gun could be a part of the plan. Queen Ratna(Mother of King Birendra and Grandmother of CP Dipendra) was in a separate room chitchatting with Helen Shah. Well, she was the one who did not want the post-mortem of the Late King Birendra and other royal family members. If Dipendra had the motive to kill everyone against the marriage, he should’ve firstly killed Ratna since she was the first person to go against the marriage of CP Dipendra and Devyani Shah and provoke others to disapprove of their marriage. So why was she spared? And the fact that Gyanendra was absent during the party and his family did not even get injured so brutally, makes us question Gyanendra. Some people have confirmed he wasn’t in Pokhara either, so where was he? Paras even said in an interview, “When brother Dipendra was shooting everyone, we had eye contact, I begged him to let me go and he did.” Someone should ask him to stop using such lame excuses. According to another book namely “KAHALILAGDO RAAT”, Paras also immediately went to England after the massacre, and some staff in the hospital their Majesties were taken to say that Paras broke CP Dipendra’s ventilator when he was in a coma. And you guys reading this post, if you hear Dr. Rajiv Shahi’s lies that changed the whole perspective of the massacre, you can tell he’s lying seeing his body language and his tone. Even Ketaki Chester( King Birendra’s cousin) said that Rajiv had run away from the window so how can he even state such lies in front of the whole world?Dipendra was wearing the national costume when he was taken to the hospital, so it was not true that he had worn a combat dress. Films were removed from 'automatic movie cameras’ at the scene of the massacre and destroyed. This is all written in the book ‘Kahalilagdo Raat’. Late Princess Prekshya Shah who was a survivor of the massacre, decided to open all the secrets of the massacre, but unfortunately, she died in a helicopter accident. But few people like Krishna Abiral believe that was conspired by the murderers. I hope everyone reading this now understands that it was not Crown Prince Dipendra who prepared this tragic massacre. I’d also like to say that, People if we do not speak about the massacre now, if we do not demand justice for our late royal family then they’d never be able to get freedom from this world. We’ve cried for them but it’s not enough, let’s all speak up again even after 20 decades, our respect for the royals is still alive!!!
THEY DO NOT NEED YOUR SYMPATHY, THEY NEED YOUR SUPPORT, THEY NEED JUSTICE. LET’S NOT SILENCE OURSELVES. LET’S SPEAK UP AGAINST THE EVILS. THIS IS REPUBLICAN NEPAL AND WE HAVE TO DEMAND JUSTICE FOR OUR LATE ROYALS. DO NOT THINK THAT YOU’RE IN NO POSITION TO HELP THE ROYALS. SPEAK UP NOW OR NEVER. THEY’VE BEEN A MILESTONE IN DEVELOPING OUR NEPAL. SO SPEAK UP NEPALESE!!!

2024.06.02 10:36 sqaz2wsx Why people who are AP seek out emotionally unavailable people Part 2

For those who saw my post a couple of days back, i gave a good reason why i thought AP people seek out emotionally unavailable people becuase we are greedy to be loved. But there is another major reason why AP people find themselves with avoidant, this time its to do with fear. This one much more important then the first.
Reading about the emotional derivation schema(which is the schema therapy equilivant of being AP), there was one thing that really stood out to me in the book, reinventing your life.
"people with this schema, never find themselves responsible for forming relationships, they only focus on how others let them down"
Reading this reddit thread discussing how other people perceive AP attachments, you can get a idea of exactly how anxious people act. We are overcritical, easily disapoinited, and can tend to put others under a microscope.
Now the Stoics reconsigned, another very powerful emotion we have called agony. And the description of this emotion is very familiar to the behavior in that thread.
anguish (Greek: agōnía meaning “contest, struggle for victory, agony, anguish”). I conjecture that agony is the fear of a failure to pursue a desired object. It is a fear of a failed desire, otherwise called a disappointment. Disappointment is often regarded as a mild dissatisfaction with something not turning out as one had hoped. Frustration is a stronger disappointment, a stronger sense that one’s desire was thwarted. When an apparent wrongdoer is perceived as the cause of one’s failed desire, agony is often overpowered by bitterness (or resentment) toward the apparent wrongdoer.
So Agony is basically the fear of lacking what we desire. There is pain in lacking what we desire. And what did i identify as in the last thread as what every anxious person is seeking? To be loved. That means that the source of our agony, of our disappointment, our frustration with others, is that we are afraid of lacking what we desire. To be loved. Another way of saying is that we are afraid of emotional neglect. I know personally this emotion of agony has seriously affected me. When i don't get my emotional needs met, it feels like agony. It feels like a struggle for survival when i fear lacking what i want(to be loved). I am easily disappointed in others, for example getting pissed off at someone taking 5 hours to respond or a million other trivial things, because i perceive this as emotional neglect. Or i am very frustrated, bitter and resentful with them in stronger cases, perceiving them to be the cause of my emotional neglect. This lead us to be overly critical, and others feel like we put them under a microscope.
Its the nature of fear to be excessive, and this is why we are so afraid of emotional neglect, this is why we put other peoples actions under a microscope. We are fear of lacking what we desire, to be loved. This fear this results either in disappointment in mild cases, and frustration and resentment in stronger cases.
The result of this fear is catastrophic, because we are afraid of lacking our desire ,to be loved, we are unable to heal ourselves.
This results in being disappointed and frustrated with others, very very easily with others because of our agony. So we never do take the lead.
But the consequence of this is quite catastrophic, because we are never able to heal ourselves by forming emotional connections with others, because we reinforce our own anxious tenancies. We are never able to heal because we push those away who try to form connections, and are terrified of taking the lead in forming friendships we crave with others. Especially taking the lead in forming emotional connections, thats when we are afraid the most.
The only way to cure ourselves is to remove ourselves of the opinion that lacking, what we desire(to be loved) is evil. That it is harmful, that it hurts us, that it should be avoided, that it is the cause of a unhappy life.
Its also generally avoidants who are very good in avoiding disappointment, who take the lead in the first stage of dating. Until they have us hooked and we try to get close, then they deprive us once they have us, but at that point we are unable to leave because of our greed to be loved.
TLDR: People who are anxious, rely on others to form emotional connections with us because we ourselves are afraid, but we push them away simultaneously because we are easily disappointed in others and very overly critical, because of our fear of lacking what we desire, to be loved. We also are terrified in taking the lead in forming emotional connections, so we never do.

2024.06.02 10:35 Calm_Marzipan_6965 Very bad breakup dark growing feeling

Hi My ex broke up with me, we were long distance for a very long time, never argued spoke about 8 hours a day, calls messages, always talking about our future together, I had never felt as happy as I did when I was with her. We saw each other a couple weeks ago and we spent the most beautiful week together, couldnt keep our hands off each other, kissing and she telling me that we'll get married at this place and babies, her parents loved me. She was so eager for me to visit again, so when I got on the plane home she told me come on this day, the day after i felt something was off, then I asked her about the future again and said it would be good if I can move closer later down the line and then she had changed saying I can visit but she wants more time alone it resulted in an argument and then she said shes had a bad feeling for a long time because of mistakes I made in the past mainly 2023 I had been out a few times and been drunk, never cheated or anything but she didnt like how I was, i dont like that person either... I really did change those behaviours and worked on it, thats why that week when we were together I felt amazing.
She blocked me on everything 2 weeks ago was so brutal and since then a dark feeling has been growing in me, its getting stronger and stronger almost like an aggression and I cant really control it, its not a sadness although it is too its like an obssesion, if I think of it like a colour its all black in my chest, it hurts alot. And then I feel like the bad side of me that I have when I drink is coming out when Im sober, i feel really bad, i feel like if i dont make lots of money and elevate myself then im doomed, cant stop the thoughts of her being with someone else, what do i do?

2024.06.02 10:33 Potential_Occasion_5 Did I make the right move?

This was a few years ago now. At the time I 17m and my new wife 21f got pregnant and had a kid. Sorry but this is going to be a long post.
2024.06.02 10:31 Dry_Law7002 Telling your teenage children you now drink alcohol

My wife and I left the church a year ago. Since then we have made several friends outside of the church and occasionally go out on double dates and have alcohol. We have kept that a secret from our teenage kids and know we need to not hide it anymore. We worry that our kids already know because they have waited up for us before and asked questions about our evening. While we weren’t black out drunk they could probably tell a difference in us. We have always been responsible when we go out with a designated driver and never taking it too far. Hiding this part of our new lifestyle is not safe and does not show our kids that in the right time, place, setting and age it can be safe and fun. We just don’t know how to spring it in them that “yes mom and dad have alcohol now” Advice for how to proceed with this conversation??? It’s just scary when for 15 years ( their whole life) you’ve said it’s a bad evil thing.

2024.06.02 10:31 DSECON How would you expect a data scientist to approach you to get non-mainstream software installed

Hi,
I am a data scientist.
In my experience, at large organisations it can be difficult to gain access to the full range of software that I would ideally like to have installed on my work machine (i.e., to match what I would install on my personal machine at home).
I presume this challenge stems from the potential danger that malicious software will eventually be installed by a data scientist, that could do damage to the organisation.
Often, the software I want to install is open-source and developed not necessarily by a large corporation, but by computer enthusiasts (for example, specific Python extensions). It is therefore difficult to evaluate the risks of these particular software.
I would be grateful to hear the perspective of some Computer System Administrators, regarding how data scientists such as myself should approach you regarding getting access to additional software.
My goal really is to gain access to the same tools that I would have at home on my own machine.

Remember the thrill of unwrapping a brand new PS1 game and flipping through the manual? Those manuals weren't just there to explain the controls; they were portals to another world, filled with backstory, character art and detailed lore that made the game universe come alive!"

Imagine having high-quality scans for EVERY PS1 game manual! K1rkl4nd, a true hero of the retro gaming community, is almost there, having tackled the manuals for SNES, PS2, and venturing into ATARI 7800, Gameboy, Gameboy Color, GameBoy Advance and XBOX 360! But the final stretch is tough. Only 125 PS1 manuals remain, and many are becoming super expensive.

We need your help to cross the finish line and preserve this important piece of gaming history!

Here's what you can do:

Let's Finish This Together!

Anyone can personally follow the progress here: Playstation 1 Progress Report

Current status: (as of 6/1/2024)

Manual Count Status
732 in-hand manuals
129 loaned/leased for scanning - hi-res
86 from online sources - good
88 in-hand manuals - no cover
122 from online sources - poor
125 missing

How to Scan:

Do you have anything to share? Contact K1rkl4nd via PM or email: jgrimm (at) atensionspan (dot) com

Links to K1rkl4nd's domain: http://www.videogamemanual.com/

Initial plea for assistance from K1rkl4nd: https://www.reddit.com/psx/comments/y7cwed/playstation_manuals/

Note: Scanning manuals is a time-consuming task, and editing them post-scan is necessary. Even after gathering all the manuals, processing and publishing them will take some time. The plan is to release all the scans simultaneously for a complete and organized archive. The primary goal of the collection is to gather manuals for NTSC games, with a secondary goal of collecting manuals for games not released in the NTSC region.

K1rkl4nd's collection stands as a testament to dedication and passion, encompassing all well-known manuals that are freely available online. This monumental effort has spanned 25 years, highlighting his unwavering commitment to preserving gaming history. While numerous collectors have emerged over the years with intentions to scan and publish their collections, all of these initiatives have unfortunately faded away.

In rare cases, K1rkl4nd might potentially accept financial donations for the purpose of acquiring the missing manuals. Personally, I consider it important to mention this information; however, K1rkl4nd has never publicly solicited financial donations, nor will he organize a public fundraising campaign for this purpose. The goal of this post is to bring attention to this project and reach out to collectors who own these games and are willing to share their manuals.

2024.06.02 10:29 Springtick38 Favorite Total Party Kill/near TPK moments in media?

It's usually done to either show off the dangers our heroes are facing or to show just how dangerous this new villain can be(it's also a great way to solve character bloat). My favorite instance of this is in Aliens when the space marines encounter the titular monsters. Seeing them act like this will be a walk in the park only for almost all of them to get wiped out is both horrifying and a bit cathartic

2024.06.02 10:28 naane_bere My note on : Why finfluencers' "Big No for Real estate" wont work for everyone

I have read couple of personal finance books, such as "Let's talk money" , Psychology of Money, Coffee Can Investing. One common thing that can observed in all these book is suggestion to not put hard earned money in real estate / house buying. And when you dig on why should we not invest money in real estate, the answers given by them is :
  1. Real estate isn't flexible. You can't sell 20% of your house to someone [unlike equity] hence you always need to transact in bulk.
  2. Real estate isn't transparent. You don't know who and how do they decide the price. Black money, foreign money has fair share of part in deciding it.
  3. Renting is better option, when we check it financially.
While I do agree that all these three points do makes sense to an extent, but they make sense only yo an extent. One of the common suggestion given by all the finfluencers is to not bring up emotion while spending money. I would like to have different opinion over this. Why ?
-> House is highly valued, especially during traditional arranged marriage. If you dont have any ancestral property, then it is wiser to purchase house in tier-1 city [assuming you are in IT and you need to live in tier-1 city]. Not having house, not having ancestral property is an issue in arranged marriage. This is not general rule, but depends a lot on region, community and caste.
-> Amount of peace house brings is innumerable cant be explained.
-> Life is not all about finance, it's not all about societal need also. It's balance between. If you go to gym and are on diet, then you shouldn't consume too much of sugar. But it's your cousin's marriage and you need to have some sweets to enjoy. So you eat it. That's the balance. Life is not all about following diet. At the same time, it is not all about eating sugar also. It is the balance.
Personal finance is personal for a reason. Emi shouldn't be more than 30%, real estate is utter waste etc etc need not be your choice. It is personal. What's the use of money, when it is not there when you needed the most ? So plan wisely.
Never forget the value of home, especially if it's first home. Societal value it brings can't be fulfilled by having money. This is my gyaan.
