I've been getting tattoos of the original JL line-up as motivation/celebration for personal milestones. I have ideas for most of the original 7, including J'onn, but I'm realizing I can't find a proper emblem for him that doesn't seem fan-made. What would be a good way to represent him next to familiar symbols of Batman, Green Lantern, Flash, etc.?

This is a theory I've made that essentially explains the different types of Lego builders each character possibly represents:
Emmet Brickowski represents the average builder or the everyman. He follows instructions and builds exactly as the manuals say. This type of builder enjoys the structure and predictability that come with following set guidelines.
Wyldstyle (Lucy) embodies the rebel or free builder. She prefers creating her own designs, breaking away from the instructions, and valuing creativity and innovation. This builder type is driven by imagination and the desire to create unique, personalized models.
Lord Business is the perfectionist builder. He values order, precision, and strict adherence to instructions. He doesn’t like changes or deviations from the original plans and prefers everything to be in its rightful place, reflecting a desire for control and perfection in building.
MetalBeard represents the scavenger or resourceful builder. He builds using whatever pieces he can find, often from multiple sets, creating something entirely new and often improvised. This type of builder enjoys the challenge of using limited resources to create something functional and impressive.
Vitruvius symbolizes the wise, experienced builder. He represents the type of builder who has extensive knowledge and often mentors others. This builder type appreciates both the traditional and the innovative aspects of building, blending experience with creativity.
Benny is the nostalgic builder, driven by a love for classic Lego sets and themes. He enjoys building models from past collections and often incorporates a sense of history and nostalgia into his creations.
UniKitty represents the imaginative and whimsical builder. She likes to build colorful and fantastical creations, often ignoring conventional rules and norms. This builder type is motivated by a desire to create joyful, playful, and vibrant structures.
Bad Cop/Good Cop could symbolize the builder who struggles between following instructions (Bad Cop) and embracing creativity (Good Cop). This duality reflects the internal conflict some builders might feel between sticking to the manual and letting their imagination take the lead.
Batman represents the specialized or thematic enthusiast, a builder who immerses themselves in their favorite theme, creating detailed, customized, and highly specialized models that reflect their passion and expertise.

Let's start with a simple enough question - What would you do when you found out that 'John Wick', aka Keanu Reeves, has written a comic/graphic novel series featuring himself as an immortal warrior who loves carnage? Me personally, I would want to grab a copy instantly! I mean, it sure sounds super fun, right? So when I got my eyes on 'BRZRKR: Bloodlines' over at NetGalley, I beat the heck out of the 'Read Now' button until I got the digital copy. And for that, I would like to thank the authors, the publishers - BOOM! Studios, and NetGalley for making it readily available. Oh, and how can I forget? My deepest of thanks to 'Mr. John Wick' himself!
So then, what really is 'BRZRKR' all about?
'BRZRKR: Bloodlines' is the first volume of the series which collects two stories - 'Poetry of Madness' and 'Fallen Empire'. Both of these stories shed a light on the life and times of the immortal, carnage-loving warrior known as the Berserker (portrayed by Keanu Reeves himself). Here's a quick summary, along with the pros and cons for each:

• Poetry of Madness

Welcome to Atlantis! A kingdom like no other, Atlantis is full of wealth and prosperity under the rule of King Azaes the Kind. But naturally, enemies want to take over the rich kingdom and have it all for themselves. But Atlantis and its people have nothing to worry or fear about. The King's Guard is there to protect them. And oh, if you didn't already know, the Guard is not consisted of "they", but just one person, and one person only...

For Atlantis’s true legend isn’t in its spires or its riches… but in the demi-god who protects them.
Behold!! Poseidon’s pet demon! The tip of the trident! The hope slayer! Unute, the Berserker!!!

Yep, it's the one and only 'John Wick' aka Keanu Reeves himself as Unute, the Berserker!
The opening sequence sets the tone for what this series is going to be about (at least for most parts in my opinion anyways) - blood, gore, and total CARNAGE! The present attacking enemy forces don't even stand a chance against the Berserker as he makes light work of them all, slashing and cutting them down to pieces one by one (almost quite literally!). And just like that, Atlantis is unharmed yet again, thanks to 'John Wi...', uh, I meant the Berserker. Unute, who is physically messed up himself and covered in gore, is paraded through the city as a hero. Not to worry one bit though, as he is an immortal demi-god (if you hadn't figured it out already) … who also has healing powers (not surprised to be honest, no?).
The story is narrated in the first person POV of Zubatai, a loyal servant to the beloved monarch of Atlantis, King Azaes the Kind. Not only that, she is also the honored chronicler and squire to the King’s personal guard, the royal protector of Atlantis - Unute himself. Her master, the Berserker, has only one true need that must forever be met… CARNAGE. Oh, and he absolutely LOVES carnage. And as Zubatai mentions -

The people want their gore.

And they all, including us fellow readers, are gonna get plenty of it right here!
The king is behaving a bit strange lately, and Vizane, the wizard priest, has something nasty and evil up his sleeves... And suddenly, one fine day, Atlantis is thrown into total chaos, destruction, and death when an unspeakable and equally unimaginable horror is unleashed. Can Zubatai and her master, Unute the Berserker, save the city and its people before it's too late?

• Pros
  • Blood, gore, and carnage present (if you love that kind of stuff) … lots of it!
  • A pretty good "twist" as to the identity of the real enemy. Was certainly not expecting it for sure. Took me by surprise.
• Cons
  
  • Not a solid enough plot in my honest opinion. Didn't get connected, or satisfied, with how it unfolded.
  • The ending wasn't that satisfactory.
• Fallen Empire
  

This time, we start off "many centuries ago" (presumably in the context to the events of 'Poetry of Madness') at a desert kingdom named Olos. The king is anything but kind (unlike the one from the first story). He is ruthless and hungry for power, with a sense of madness about him, and will do anything to crush his enemies. But onto his land, one day, steps foot a person who is not human...
The Berserker is here, and Olos is thrown into turmoil as the immortal's thirst for carnage seems to be never-ending. The queen, who is hiding secrets including her own dark past, sets out to carry on with a plan that will set in motion nothing but death and destruction of the highest of orders for Olos and beyond.
Narrated by the first person POV of a mysterious woman who has been the witness of the Berserker's journey and carnage firsthand, this tale depicts a range of emotions with an underlying aspect of sadness and grief... and what ultimately happens when the "rage for carnage" takes over...

• Pros
  • Blood, gore, and carnage present... but in a considerably lesser amount (which I thought worked out well).
  • There was more to the story, and I really liked it.
  • The emotions displayed - anger, sadness, grief, betrayal, love, etc. came across pretty well.
  • The ending was pretty good and satisfactory.
• Cons
  • None. I enjoyed this one much better than the first.

What was great about it?

• The illustrations were really good throughout. Very much liked the style of it all.
• As mentioned, this has plenty of blood and gore if you like that stuff, and absolutely pulls no punches.
• Read it in one sitting, and enjoyed it for the most parts.
• There are alternate covers present for both the stories. Loved that!

What didn't hit the mark?

• Both the stories were lacking that "X factor" in terms of plot (although I felt that the second was much, much better than the first).

Other info.

• Note: Strong, mature themes present throughout, like - blood, gore, nudity, profanity, etc.

Final thoughts
Overall, if you are looking for a fun and enjoyable start to a series featuring an immortal being who loves carnage, then this just might be what you are looking for. With no shortage of blood, gore, action, drama, and a decent amount of "steamy" stuff throughout, 'BRZRKR: Bloodlines' (Volume #1) pulls no punches in delivering the aforementioned elements. The plot aspect could have been done better in my opinion, but nonetheless, this was a pretty good enough read altogether.
Rating: - 7/10 (A fun read)

Personality: Rogert is a loner who was given the job of a leader despite not wanting it. He became more comfortable in the role over the years yet deep down never truly believed he should be a leader.
While a humble person, Roth has no illusions of his strengths and how powerful he can be when in battle.
Roth values loyalty and honesty, things he has shown to his team by having no secrets from them and has encouraged his team to do the same with great effect. Because of his values in honesty, Rogert does not forgive attempts to lie to him and tries to limit his words to be as truthful as possible.
Roth has a ruthless attitude when it comes to leadership and dealing with enemies. As a leader, Roth expects nothing but competence and giving 100% in combination with a firm chain of command and on-the-spot obedience.
Roth is a strong believer in learning and improving skills. Because of this, Roth has learned from his teammates the skills he lacked before meeting them and has instructed them to do the same.
Desiring always to have the upper hand, he learned to keep his emotions in check at all times and focused on his studies in his free time and school time. Other people often consider him emotionless, yet no one is willing to say it in his earshot, and he doesn´t mind this thought about him.
Rogert has mastered his emotions, and he can make decisions that would make other people disgusted with themselves be it torture or cruel punishments without flinching as he got older. While his team reminds him about his better nature and while his actions have never been directed against an innocent, Rogert believes he can´t afford to hesitate to act when many lives are at stake.
His team, REPR, has helped him loosen up, and he discovered his liking for playing the saxophone and driving. His team has helped him to become a better man than he thinks he needs to be as the years went by.
Facts about the character:

• Rogert prefers to be called Roth because the name is easier to pronounce, and he prefers a shorter name.
• Rogert put the team to vote during graduation on whether they should stick together as a group. Ultimately, the team was split up, yet REPR occasionally would help each other on big operations. He voted No, yet never said why, even when asked.
• Roth´s closest relationships are with his parents, Elena and Raina, and he thinks highly of Doctor Bartholomew Oobleck due to his teaching and wisdom.
• Originally intended to be a counter for Elm, an Ace Operative during early development phase.

Extra skills:

• Scholar: His lack of social interaction in his school years made Rogert focus more on his studies than on making friends. Due to this, he has gained a lot of knowledge and an interest in researching history and myths. Math skills and history were his best subjects, and he often likes to talk about both when asked.

Your server is now running two services: the sshd (Secure Shell Daemon) service that you use to login; and the Apache2 web server. Both of these services are generating logs as you and others access your server - and these are text files which we can analyse using some simple tools.
Plain text files are a key part of "the Unix way" and there are many small "tools" to allow you to easily edit, sort, search and otherwise manipulate them. Today we’ll use grep, cat, more, less, cut, awk and tail to slice and dice your logs.
The grep command is famous for being extremely powerful and handy, but also because its "nerdy" name is typical of Unix/Linux conventions.

YOUR TASKS TODAY

• Dump out the complete contents of a file with cat like this: cat /valog/apache2/access.log
• Use less to open the same file, like this: less /valog/apache2/access.log - and move up and down through the file with your arrow keys, then use “q” to quit.
• Again using less, look at a file, but practice confidently moving around using gg, GG and /, n and N (to go to the top of the file, bottom of the file, to search for something and to hop to the next "hit" or back to the previous one)
• View recent logins and sudo usage by viewing /valog/auth.log with less
• Look at just the tail end of the file with tail /valog/apache2/access.log (yes, there's also a head command!)
• Follow a log in real-time with: tail -f /valog/apache2/access.log (while accessing your server’s web page in a browser)
• You can take the output of one command and "pipe" it in as the input to another by using the (pipe) symbol
• So, dump out a file with cat, but pipe that output to grep with a search term - like this: cat /valog/auth.log grep "authenticating"
• Simplify this to: grep "authenticating" /valog/auth.log
• Piping allows you to narrow your search, e.g. grep "authenticating" /valog/auth.log grep "root"
• Use the cut command to select out most interesting portions of each line by specifying "-d" (delimiter) and "-f" (field) - like: grep "authenticating" /valog/auth.log grep "root" cut -f 10- -d" " (field 10 onwards, where the delimiter between field is the " " character). This approach can be very useful in extracting useful information from log data.
• Use the -v option to invert the selection and find attempts to login with other users: grep "authenticating" /valog/auth.log grep -v "root" cut -f 10- -d" "

The output of any command can be "redirected" to a file with the ">" operator. The command: ls -ltr > listing.txt wouldn't list the directory contents to your screen, but instead redirect into the file "listing.txt" (creating that file if it didn't exist, or overwriting the contents if it did).

WHERE'S MY /VALOG/AUTH.LOG?

If you didn't find the file /valog/auth.log you're probably using a minimal version of Ubuntu (it can be your own local VM or a version in one of the VPS). That minimal image is, well... minimal. It only has the systemd journal available and it didn't come with the old syslog system by default.
But don't worry! To get that back, sudo apt install rsyslog and the file will be created. Just give it a few minutes to populate before working on the lesson.
It also be missing a few of the other programs we use in the challenge, but you can always install them.

POSTING YOUR PROGRESS

Re-run the command to list all the IP's that have unsuccessfully tried to login to your server as root - but this time, use the the ">" operator to redirect it to the file: ~/attackers.txt. You might like to share and compare with others doing the course how heavily you're "under attack"!

EXTENSION

• See if you can extend your filtering of auth.log to select just the IP addresses, then pipe this to sort, and then further to uniq to get a list of all those IP addresses that have been "auditing" your server security for you.
• Investigate the awk and sed commands. When you're having difficulty figuring out how to do something with grep and cut, then you may need to step up to using these. Googling for "linux sed tricks" or "awk one liners" will get you many examples.
• Aim to learn at least one simple useful trick with both awk and sed

Am trying to get japanese subtitles of an anime from Crunchyroll and do stuff with it. Most subtitles of other languages appear correctly, but the japanese subs have weird symbols that I can't figure out how to decode.
The subtitles look like below:

Personally I have ideas for both if they decided to do a reboot I'd have the first 2 seasons combined into 1 as Season 1 was just finding its footing and its only in season 2 we start seeing the starting if a linear plotline like with the key the caves etc...
So I'd have season 1 end where season 2 ends combine a few essential plotlines into episodes and whatnot have the twister situation/ending for season 1 be the mid-season finale.
I'd also introduce Lois a lot earlier I'd have her be introduced maybe not episode 1 let them build up the essential characters like Clark, Jonathan, Martha, Chloe, Pete, Lex and Lionel and anyone else.
Then start an episode set in Metropolis woth Lois being the rebellious teenage daughter doing a petty crime like Graffiti or Shop lifting then running from the cops only to get caught and her father is called in and as punishment sends her to live with her Cousin this episode could be episode 5 or maybe even 6 or if you really pushed it maybe episode 14 after the resolution of the mid-season finale.
We could have episodes of Lois resisting falling into the comfort of the Small Town vibe but eventually after hanging out with Clark, Chloe, and Pete at the torch she gets roped into writing for the Torch and starts her on her journey from rebellious daughter to Ace Reporter.
She amd Clark are Chloe's feet on the ground, Pete acts as her in with the football players on something amd she acts as the info gatherer and hacker.
I think it would also set up Chloe's "Death" really well in season 4 so Lois can have been investigating since her supposed death and despite the general getting in her way she keeps digging and suddenly Clark shows up again and strange things start happening again and together after he regains his memory he helps her.
I would also have Lana and Clark get together a lot sooner or if not I'd wrap up their relationship sooner like have her leave that video like she does in the original series or actually kill her off eother one so that Clark and Lois can build their relationship it almost felt like thr Clark and Lana show by how long they dragged their relationship on for.
One other addition to this hyperthetical reboot I'd do is have Clark wear his Superman Suit a lot sooner and get him the ability to fly I probably would've had that ability after his rebirth like in the original series when he goes searching for the stones in Season 4 Episode 1 as Kal-El even after he regains his true self I'd have Clark gain the ability to fly.
That's all I can think that I'd change of the reboot maybe have more people find out his secret sooner as the amount of times he tip toes around goes to tell people butbthen changes his mind was really annoying so maybe tell Pete in Season 1 instead of Season 2.
Have Clark tell Chloe and Lois instead of then figuring it out. I'd also have while he hides the truth about his abilities from Lex I'd have that he does give certain truths like the fact he can read the symbols and whatnot he could even come up with lies like how he spent the time between season 3 and 4 studying the writinfs and discovered a pattern and now he can read the symbols.
Or something like that but now for my idea if they ever revived the series ckntinueing where they left off.
Depending ifnthey decided to do another season or make it a movie depends first off I'd have them make the comics canon for those who don't know they did a season 11 comic series a lot of shows did this back in the day as a way to keep the series going without the budget or slot for another season Charmed is another who did this.
But in the Season 11 Comics they also brought in some of the more iconic characters like Batman so ifnit was a sequel season I'd have them turn the comics into episodes maybe expanding them a bit to make them full episodes but I'd have the main antagonist be Darkside and have the final episodes be like a Smallville Version of the movie Justice League War.
I'd also have the actual character appear not be like a weird smoke cloud and have him looking for the Anti-Life Equation like he does in most versions if the character.
If it was a sequel movie I'd probably do the same thing only skim past unimportant plotpoints to build the new Justice League team with Oliver obviously but then bring Barry Allen and we learn that when Bart ran away from home he didn't realise he travelled back in time.
But yeah these are just some of my ideas how would you do things if you were given the power to revive Smallville and hownwould you go about it Reboot or Sequel?

The progress of the modification

• The Game exe has been updated. The game could run without DGVoodoo + it can run 32bits instead of 16bits.
  
• Textures has either been upscaled or taken from Other Mdickie games to give it that modern-day touch
  
• Added new sound effects
  
• Added ambiance music depending on the situation
  
• Added new face textures + upscaled some face textures
  
• Upscaled GUI Textures
  
• Added Credits that lists every asset that was created by other modders and other sources.

Long story short, what does this modification do. Well it upscales the game and gives a sight modern day touch.
It's still the same old hardtime 3d but the game could run smoothly on Windows 10/11, New textures, ambience noises, and some small addons.
This mod is a complete standalone game, which means you don't have to use the original hardtime game as a directory reference for file editing.
The game is literally in this file. All you need to do is just extract the file and click the exe. Boom you could play.
Also when installing the mod, a pop-up may appear asking you to install DirectPlay. Download it and you'll be able to Play LOTL
I'll like to list 2 things: one, there's a bunch of placeholders in this mod, so everything you see might or might not be there on the next update. Two, this mod contains "suggestive scenes" such as gore, Strong Language, Sexual Images, Racial symbols, textures that use real drug images and such.
This was implemented for realism. im not one of those woke game devs. I had to list this for younger fans and for the Youtubers that don't want their video being hit with an age restriction warning. You've been warned!

Has the ability to control a type of energy only he has.
Ways to use this energy is standard strength and speed by but the power into your muscle fibers and organs to enhance their performance. Matthew can also materialize this power in different ways he traniednto find out how he can do this, for example shock waves or energy tenticals.
The main weakness is energy drain. I know what y'all probably thinking, "this is like every quirks weakness cause I swing your quirk can tire you out", but his quirks energy drain. When he use his quirk, the energy run down and if uses a all out attack he loses the energy and cant use his quirk. But on the good side , this energy grows back over time , and since it's his quirk energy if he goes to where he let out a huge attack, he can absorbed it back. It takes like an hour to get his power back to 100% naturally if he just goes on with his day.
Mutation: * Wolf Ears and Tail: Matthew has permanent wolf-like ears and a tail as a result of his mutation.* Laser Eyes: Matthew can emit powerful laser beams from his eyes. This mutation was a rare coincident.
Also he can share his energy with others to enhance their quirks cause energy works like that I think.

How this works is his power works like a computer l well more like just a normal computer, then a virus AKA and elements infects this power and then it slowly corrupts his powers AKA but there until his body is able to use a different elements,the form is only as strong as his original form because the element can only corrupt what is there,not make more power. A little bit of this energy is still there so that it can take back control. Each form has a mind of its own like some dark shadow type thing. The reason why his forms have minds of their own is cause if I gave him full control his forms he would swap to frequently and that would be two strong.
The reason why he can do this is when he was 3 is quirk was developing and he was exposed to radiation messing with his quirk genes and when his quirk developed it added this.

Carrys amounted cannons inspired by Titan speaker man. They harness his power into either energy balls or just flat out lasers.
To make my self clear his max form when he uses all his elements he can only use 1/10 of his forms power including him as the main guy of this whole body.
PERSONALITY
He's smart nice in a way sometimes a prankster if you try to roast him you will go complete PackGod on you, if he's in a bad mood don't try to comfort him you'll just make things worse and not for him for you, he's really cocky, but not bakugo cocky hes just a bit over confident. He is very creative. He loves tech to the point if you break a 30 buck phone around him, let's just say you gonna want to do a crime in front of batman before Matthew finds you.

It was on the french equivalent of unpopularopinion and it really pissed me off. It was this caricature of a socialist saying how Batman did nothing for Gotham, how Joker was just ignored by the medical establishment, and how Bruce Wayne wasn't paying his taxes and should go to therapy instead of putting a costume. It was very frustrating. Anyway, here is a translation of my response (for context "dark shadow Sasuke" means edgy), feel free to ask if you don't understand something, I just had to tell someone:
Okay, basically you've never really read anything about Batman:

1. Gotham is SUPER corrupt. The police force is super corrupt. Before Batman and his adversaries, there were mafias that controlled the entire city as well as a cult. Nobody within the system can do anything to change things, hence the need for someone outside the system. Given the state of the city, do you really think the $97 billion will go to the city? Furthermore, later in his career, he was able to donate his money to several projects that benefit the city and its residents.
   
2. Batman is a symbol. On several occasions, he has inspired the people of Gotham to fight for what is right and to give them hope.
   
3. The Joker? Abandoned by the medical system? The medical system pays so much attention to him that his psychiatrist fell in love with him! Do you think his problem is financial? That he will suddenly become normal if Bruce Wayne gives money to Arkham? Money that could go into the wrong hands, by the way. Not to mention the fact that Joker is a terrorist and a serial killer.
