Martlet and Papyrus are two names that are rather famous throughout the Undertale and Undertale yellow communities. Of course, there are many things that come to mind when you here both names. Papyrus for example is the loud. arrogant, but kind skeleton that is the brother to the funny Skeleton Man (Sans). Martlet on the other hand you might remember as kind of a mother figure to clover if you support the idea of momlet or maybe just the puzzle loving bird friend of clover. Each of these characters have unique fates for each Fanfiction a member of our beloved community writes. Whether its romance, tragedy, or a simple slice of life fanfic. So where do these two falls in my little world of a second human monster war. Well, it might be a bit more complex than one might think.

The second monster human war was the most destructive war in history and resulted in the destruction of several Undertale AUs and monster race losing 90% of their population all because they followed a racist and mentally Ill scientist name Chujin. As tragic of this sounds it doesn't mean people tried to improve the aftermath and make life easier. Papyrus and Martlet are a good example of this.
Martlet was born in the human year 1959 at an unknown date. Accounts of her early life and parents have been lost to history to due Asgor and the monsters general poor record keeping with Alphy's and Chujin being the only ones who kept some records of sorts. It's possible this poor record keeping is why Chujin thought the monster population was bigger than it actually was. What we do know is Martlets part the events of what the United Nations Elimination of Monsters Coalition calls Undertale Yellow are and some of her life just before the events. It's suggested by Human historians that Martlet got into puzzles when she was possibly 12 in human years but that's just a rough idea. Interviews with her few surviving friends state that she made her first puzzle at 6 years old in monster years which is roughly 14 years old in human years. To further complicate things is the fact that different monsters age differently than others with Martlets species having the closest correlation to human years out of all monsters.
Payrpus birth and exact age are harder to track down. All we know is that he and his brother Sans (Currently living in New Ebot in Colorado. Mt Ebot is in Colorado) appeared in the underground out of nowhere in 1980 on the [Redacted] of [Redacted]. Papyrus took a job as a royal guard somewhere between 1980-1981 and met Martlet possibly around that time. We both know based on William Henderson's interview with Papyrus and a mention by Flowey that they exchanged blueprints for their respective puzzles on occasions and while Papyrus describes her as his closest friend Sans stated that "She was simply my brothers pen pal" whether this was Sans simply messing with Willaim Henderson or him saying the true we'll never know.
EVENTS OF UNDERTALE YELLOW
The turning point in Martlets life came on May 12th when a certain kid named Clover fell into the underground. Clover was born on the 4th of July 1969 though his family moved to the to the town of Ebot Colorado in 1978. He never got to meet his father until 1975 due to his father's enlistment into the Unified states of the Americas army during the Vietnam war. (1962-74. This is an Alternate Vietnam the US still loses however) When his father came back, he was a drunken and PTSD ridden mess. Clover's mother was little better as she was rather neglectful and lazy. Clovers Unhealthy Family life would play a role into going ahead with his plan to find the forgotten 6 children who had gone missing throughout the 60s and 70s. He developed a fascination with cowboys when watching western movies (Particularly the old ones) along with a cowboy attire. He wore this attire proudly. Due to his family life, he matured rapidly. When his friend Integra (The soul integrity) went missing when she was dared to climb MT Ebot it was the final nail in the coffin for him and he began to prepare himself for an expedition into the mountain. He bought a Coll-Wesson revolver and rope by stealing money from his father. (He was beaten for this) on May the 12th he climbed Mt Ebot and jumped into the underground and died.... Oh, wait no Flowey brought him back to life without him knowing. Clover then met Flowey around 30 minutes later starting his journey.
Martlet in the meantime was lazily relaxing in one of the many checkpoints in the Snowdin area. The exact time she met clover is unknown, but it was most likely 1 hour after she had sent a list of suggestions to how Payprus could improve his puzzles. Martlet originally tried to follow protocol and capture clover however after seeing how peaceful clover was, she gave up on it. Then after their failed attempt to get to the hot lands, the fiasco in the wild east, and meeting Ceroba and Chujin, Ceroba (Chujin is alive in my story, but Kanko is not and was killed by integrity according to Chujin) was revealed to want clovers soul to bring back Kanako. Chujin was horrified at the thought of killing an innocent kid and went against his wife's wishes (Unknown to the others this was a ploy to gain trust) Martlet and clover spoke briefly on a hotel rooftop before going with Starlo and Chujin to face Ceroba. Ceroba knocked Martlet, Starlo, and Chujin (Who was only pretending) out. Clover battled it out with Ceroba on the 13ths of May. Clover came close to winning until Chujin drove a knife through his back killing him. Chujin then asked Ceroba to not use clovers soul to bring back monster kind but to instead to give it to Asgor so monster kind can be free. (Chujin is still the royal scientist in my AU) Ceroba after some arguing agrees with Chujin as Martlet and Starlo begin to wake up. Chujin calls the royal guard who apprehend Starlo but Martlet Barely escapes by flying away.
Knowing her time was now limited she sent the last Blueprints to Papyrus before the royal Guard burst into her home at around midnight and captured her. Martlet and Starlo were executed by undying on the 14th of May early morning. While Martlets story came to an end her legacy and puzzles did not as Papyrus received her blueprints on the 14th and would hide them from the royal guard.
EVENTS OF THE SECOND HUMAN MONSTER WAR AND PAPYRUSES RISE TO FAME.
Papyrus would with the help of Sans create more puzzle's and preserve Martlets puzzles. Then on September 4th, 1984, Frisk fell into the underground and was killed by Undying. After this Papyrus was ordered to destroy his puzzle's as they now had no use to monster kind as the invasion of the surface was inevitable. Papyrus as a sign of things to come suggested instead of destroying the puzzles they should be used to entertain monster kind's children. Undying would allow it and Papyrus who still wanted to hunt the humans though his loyalty was shaken by martlets execution agreed to be in the first wave out of the underground. On the 10th of September the monster climbed up to the surface for the first time.
The sight was so breathtaking many simply forget that they were invading. Chujin fear that the humans would be waiting for them up on the surface ready to exterminate monster kind was proven false within the first day as no human was spotted on the first day. Chujin still refused to believe reports and still ordered the invasion forward. Papyrus spent the first day trying to make more puzzles. On the 11th the town of Ebot was spotted and attacked by Asgors army and Chujins boss monsters and axis models. Papyrus was in the attack but quickly simply broken down as he watched the monsters slaughter humans indiscriminately. What made Papyrus ultimately desert the Royal Guard was the Human police's along with the 9th National Guards battalions last stand as they bought time for the civilians to evacuate the time. Papyrus stated in his interview with William Henderson decades later "IT WAS THEN ON THAT DAY I KNEW WE HAD LOST THE WAR. THE HUMANS PROVED BOTH BRAVER AND FAR KINDER THAN THE GREAT PAPYRUS AND MONSTER KIND!! IF THE GREAT PAPYRUS COULD GO BACK IN TIME HE WOULD HAVE GLADLY FOUGHT WITH THOSE BRAVE HUMANS!!"
Papyrus and later his brother Sans would go into hiding for most of the war until 1996 when they switched sides and joined the Commonwealth of Britannia's army. They would serve in the Commonwealths army until 1998 when they both retired. It was around this time when Papyrus began his journey to help the entertainment industry and carry on Martlets puzzle making legacy. The second human monster war by the time he had retired had gone on for 14 brutal years and large amounts of homes and cities had been destroyed. Papyrus would turn his attention to entertaining the many children who had lost their fathers and mothers during the ongoing conflict by hosting's puzzle solving challenges. Many of these puzzles' Martlets puzzles, and these proved to be a favorite among human children. Sans also helped and had stopped being lazily for once in his life.
When interviewed by William Henderson and asked what inspired him to do this he stated. "THE GREAT PAPYRUS SIMPLY DOESNT WATCH AS CHILDREN CRY IN THEIR SLEEPY AND REMAIN SAD. ITS NOT WHAT THE GREAT PAPYRUS DOES." The entertainment industry caught onto what Papyrus was doing in 2000 and offered to not only to fund his puzzle challenges but to make them into a game show of sorts. The show "Papyruses puzzles" was born as a result of this and has remained popular ever since. Sans found his calling in the fast-food industry and opened up his own fast-food chain to honor Grillbies who had died during the war. Papyrus would give a lot of credit to Martlet for helping him discover puzzles and funded the building of a statue in her honor.
WHAT PAPYRUS IS DOING NOW.
Papyrus is currently these days is donating much of his money to the protection of the underground charity and has recently created the Blue Bird Puzzle Corporation (Refence to Martlet). Martlet was dug up by UNEMC soldiers (United Nations Eliminations of Monsters Coalition) and was buried under a second statue made in her honor in Snowdin next to the Statue of Clover and the 6 other souls. Papyrus pays a visit to her grave once very 6 months. An inscription on her statue reads "The one that inspired THE GREAT PAPYRUS to make puzzles."

Playing a default Dark Urge run and it's going great, early game is a slog, but mid/endgame is easy mode.
The white dragonborn race isn't so helpful, but Storm Sorcery has so much going for it. Gear that involves reverberation, Spell Save increase, and Mental Inhibition make my character feel so powerful. Bonus if you have items that replenish spell slots.
For example, I beat honour mode Gortash with Upcast Hold Person with heightened spell, it was hilarious. We ran down his legendary resistance with lae'zel's battle maneuvers, then ran him into a corner. I proceeded to have my Fighter, Barbarian, and owlbear Druid with a Earth Elemental surround him so he couldn't leave it. When my turn came, I unleashed my spell and that was that. Even if he somehow saved against it, I could still quicken spell. It was Incredible. Every other enemy had also been paralyzed and really just had one turn to play
Other examples include multiple Upcast Call/Chain Lightning the Steel Watcher Titan to ruin, Dominate Person on high level Banites and the Githyanki Paladin to fight on my side, and Shocking Grasp never missing, dealing decent damage, and causing multiple debuffs including prone to a lot of enemies.
Now I'm about to finish this run and have been thinking why would I ever play a wizard or warlock? I have so much power as a Sorcerer and I'm not even using water to increase my damage. I really recommend people to try this class.

I was looking at why gen alpha seems to be even worse than kids in general. I want to work in animation and I was thinking about what they watch but then it got concearning that they weren’t so much watching TV or scripted shows but on social media and watching content farms. At first I was concerned about the fact that they barely even have the attention span for tv shows like Big City Greens and Bluey instead being dumped in front of horrifying content farms and even addictive stuff like c—melon.
Then it went a little deeper when I saw videos of teachers talking about how their regular kids(like kids without disabilities) are struggling below grade level and this is like 6th grade students having almost no attention spans and having reading levels and learning levels far below like 3rd grade levels, and not knowing certain basics There was even a video that mentioned how even sped kids despite their disadvantage had higher reading levels than normal kids. And the normal kids seemed not to even be trying to better themselves.
Then I learned about the Sephora girls and how they are straight up menaces to other people and demand skincare that isn’t designed for their age group and can damage them(instead of getting age appropriate skincare). I learned about the horrible Sephora moms enabling this with instagrams
Then I learned about young boys(like 6-9 year olds) accessing extremely sexist streamers and a pretty notorious rapist and trafficker named “quagmire” Tate who was just arrested for sex trafficking influencing young minds to regress regarding equality and no means no etc. I then saw more teachers saying how toxic kids are becoming and they seem to have no real life goals other than being influencers. And then quitting because of such flagrant behavior.
I was confused by all of this like it seemed like the parents weren’t even trying to teach the kids basics like how letters are pronounced, how to tie shoes, not to steal the cookie, etc. this continued to be hard to understand like it didn’t make sense. Like these problems used to be a very small minority like not everyone is like this but now it seemed that not “everyones kids are bad” while still a fair amount seemed even smaller compared to to it seems like the kids who were never taught seemed to increase.
Then when I saw one video which talked about the Sephora kids she brought up a TikTok talking about why gen alpha ended up so bad and the video brought up the accessory baby trend of the 2010s that really blew up around that time. I then watched the TikTok and that’s when it clicked. The kids who were born then are the same that are gen alpha. I remembered that on YouTube and other sites was filled with teens who were excited about having a baby and belly progressions etc.
it made total sense why gen alpha is horribly underprepared because many of these kids were(and are) the accessory babies born in the 2010s that were born to a large minority of(a lot of) teenagers who wanted to showcase their cute baby as if they were a furby accessory trying to copy the celebrity (spesficially the kardashians and Kyle Jenner) accessory baby trend which resulted in the aesthetic of parenting and having a cute baby without any of the actual work needed to raise a baby to a functioning human being with good literacy skills, a reasonable education and basically becoming a functioning person.
Oh and teen mom the tv show(which despite showing some of the darker sides and contributing to a decline in teen pregnancy’s some dumb kids still took inspiration) . It’s made even worse because now TikTok and instagram reels glorifying pregnancy at young(like teenage) ages for aesthetics even if said person was not ready or willing to handle responsibly raising a future adult and showing none of the true consequences and sorrow that comes with ruining your and a future humans life, instead being filled with instagram photos of cute mommy and baby in matching outfits on highly staged photos with no hint on how difficult it is to raise a human being.
Anyway The baby was never supposed to grow up as a person and become a functioning human being but to be a silent being with no thoughts of it’s own to dress up and show off to instagram and Pinterest. Essentially a doll. However when that baby started to grow up into their own person and becoming a human being because as it turns out baby’s grow up to be a functioning adult. The parents has no desire to be a parent and does not know how to raise a functioning human so they dumped them in front of iPads in order to get them out of the way and basically negelect them. The consequence is that now we have an entire generation of kids who have not been taught basic lessons and how to be a functioning person.
It even affects the kids who weren’t accessory babies and are being raised by people who actually want to see their child succeed in life , because the peer pressure to act more mature than before has ramped up significantly as the moms of the accessory babies shunned kid appropriate outfits and acting their age and stuff because they wanted the babies to be dressed up in adult fashions for instagram photo ops and have engrained that acting like a kid is stupid and that they go from accessory Baby to hot young adult with no inbetween in their minds which warps them to act like an “adult” when way too young. It’s essentially the traditional 10 year old wants to act older but warped far beyond what it used to be and if a kid simply acts like their age group they are often picked on by accessory baby bullies which means that a lot of kids are now under peer pressure to grow up way too fast because the accessory kids that dominate the school and act like monsters towards everyone else.
It’s because they were never taught how to be a good Person. And it’s because of the parents who wanted accessory babies for instagram rather than raising a human. Like it’s the 30 year mellenials who take their kids only to instagramamble play areas, dressing them up for photo shoots every week in new clothes, going on instagramamble vacations and even having another baby only for clicks.
This is the reality of the situation we are seeing the consequences of this in real time. The kids were never taught how to be a person and because of that they have almost no manners and learned all their lessons from toxic influencers and or consumerist influencers. It’s because the parents neglect them instead of providing moral lessons on how to be a good person, teaching them right from wrong, or even providing them good tv shows like BCG, and bluey instead dumping them in front of iPad content farms that rot their attention spans without any moderation causing them to have no imagination and tech addictions and then for the boys watching toxic influencers like Andrew quagmire tate and his merry band of Herbert the perverts(it’s a family guy reference). And for the girls being brainwashed into acting like adults and buying skincare that burns their skin instead of age appropate skin care.
This is scary because they are our next doctors, artists, writers, musicians, librarians, mechanic, firefighters, plumbers, etc. and they end up with social media addicitions and have shockingly short attention spans thanks to overstimulating YouTube shorts and they were never taught how to be a successful person who thrives in society all because they were treated as disposable photo props to get more IG likes.
To be clear not every parent is like this and there are many parents trying to raise their kids good and teaching them to be a good person but it is concearning how the accessory babies are now being turned into monsters at shockingly young ages. I really hope people wake up and realize that this is a problem and how we need to educate kids and prevent toxic Tate influences on boys And toxic trends on girls. We need to let kids learn positive values and teach the, about diversity and how to be a good person and helping other people and doing good things and working hard to achieve whatever goals they want.
We need to fix this and help prepare kids to be a functioning good adults so that they can succeed. It’s a whole mess that we need to do better with our next generation of people because we need to stop treating kids like they are just instagram photos and they aren’t babies with on and off switches but babies that grow to toddler then kid tween teen until they become an adult who should be able to do basic functions in society.
I am legit concerned about the next generation and them being addicted to content farms rather than quality shows with educational and entertainment value and not being taught basic morals like don’t steal the cookie, everyone is equal, clean up after yourself, don’t rudely interrupt other people. or even helping them get to grade level reading and stuff(and I’m not counting kids with disabilities, like autistic and adhd kids) to function in society. like I literally heard that sped kids with disabilities and autism etc are literally doing higher reading levels than regular kids because a lot of the regular kids were never taught. It’s legit concerning.
*it should also be mentioned that this seems to mostly happen with really really young parents 9/10 times as most kids who were conceived by parents at older ages(30 something when they had kids) don’t seem to have this problem(or very rarely)
*we also need to have a village to help raise these kids to become better people. Like social society helps them because kids still need to be taken care of even if it’s overworked parents. I think we need actual free regulated child care and school is something that needs to be encouraged. We need to have people who actively help the kids grow with social time and we need to actually help kids grow and become good people. Maybe more social systems can help too.

Hello everybody, I am 18, work on 3 months contracts (that have been getting renewed constantly for over a period of one year and will most likely stay that way) one of my buddies recently got an N-Line and I really liked the aesthetic of the car. So i looked into all the models and honestly the N seems the coolest. I went to go see it at a dealership close to me and honestly it looks twice as good in person. I drive an old convertible chrysler sebring with 75k on the dash. I’m looking to get an Elantra N for multiple reasons.
First reason is that I drive around 440km’s weekly (for my work etc) so driving takes up alot of my time and I don’t enjoy the road much with that car. I think the Elantra N is the perfect daily driver, especially that it’s FWD so I can drive it in the canadian winter.
Second reason is that my chrysler is unfortunately very slow, I have to punch the accelerator pedal every time I want to gain some speed on the highway which is putting alot of strain on the motor. I’m basically driving a slow car really fast to compensate which is in turn damaging the car.
Third reason is that the chrysler is such a heavy and bulky car, it uses up alot of gas and I spend almost the same amount as other friends who have SUV’s or sporty cars. So might as well spend that gas money on a car that’s worth it.
Final reason is that I don’t have any other bills to pay other then my phone, gas, and insurance. I live with my parents and intend on doing so for a while.
Based on my calculations, (price + tax + interest + insurance + gas) my monthly payments will basically be around 40% of my salary (loan duration is 6 years). (My salary will soon increase by a decent amount and I will also work on the weekends so more income) Therefore it will be more around 30%.
I also intend on paying the car faster then 6 years.
My logic is this, yes I may be young and I probably should invest in something like a downpayment on a property in the future but I am in love with cars and driving, and I think the Elantra N is perfect for me. It’s not just about having a car that can get me from point a to point b, it’s way more then that. I already have a car that can do that but it’s just not fun.
So my question is, what do you guys think? I am not necessarily looking for life/financial advice (although that is welcomed), but more on your thoughts and perspective as owners of the car to see if it is really worth the commitment/compromise i’d be making. I’ve talked to several people about this and their answers are basically the same (you already have a working car save your money for something more important). But I wanna know from people who are maybe more established and own the car what they think.

I'm a new bedroom DJ and I really enjoy it, but I have a few questions about how DJing in a non-bedroom environment works
1) What do people mean when they talk about "listening to the mix before pushing it to the floor" or something like this? Generally I don't use hot cues so it's not like I could skip to the main part in a track, but even assuming I did, I don't think it would be much use, since the currently playing track generally dies down in the last 2 minutes or so when I start to mix in the new track, it would sound different than if I was just checking it elsewhere in the song. Is it just a real quick check to see if it's acceptable, or are DJs out here playing like a whole 30 seconds in the cue before deciding if something is a go?
2) What...exactly is the point of monitors? I do both beatmatching and mixing in my headphones as I find it difficult to beatmatch with 1 ear on the headphone and 1 on the speaker, but am I supposed to be doing it that way?
3) Obviously at home I have only one pair of speakers, but in a club environment, is it like the Master only goes to the PA system and whatever I have cued only comes through the monitors?
4) Lastly, with earbuds + headphones / IEMs is it actually loud enough to hear what's going on and properly beatmatch? I just have a hard time believing that a small pair of headphones can outloud / isolate enough of the PA system
Bonus: Sometimes I hear people saying to beatmatch the highs or the snares instead of the kicks, but in songs that have no hi-hat or snare, you just have to do it through the kick? The Budget (Scotland) Bill 2024 gives the Scottish Government (and other bodies) the authority to spend money from the Scottish Consolidated Fund. The Bill also makes emergency provision to be used in the event that, in the next financial year, there is no Budget Bill.

• SM197 Scottish Rate Resolution

The Scottish Rate Resolution, if agreed, determines the rates and bands of income tax which are to apply in Scotland for the next financial year.

• SSI 2024/1 Taxes (Scotland) Order

The Taxes (Scotland) Order adjusts various taxes.

My apologies for the very short opening speech, I have been sick recently and have not had time to prepare. I will answer questions during the session. But I am proud to present a significant budget that does a lot for Scotland. From ensuring no spending cuts, to reducing the tax burden on ordinary people, this budget achieves great things.

I would like to get a swiss GADA watch. My budget would be below 4k. I am not willing to get secondhand because actually they are difficult to find and import here, so let's base on the MSRP value.

The few shops that did have some basically cut really thick metal into the shape then welded the guard to the blade and gave it the usual wrapping and such, when I asked them if they knew how to do more traditional they told me that “most traditional made can’t hold up to more modern made which is why we make them like this” I can’t remember the name of the shop and I don’t mean to gaslight them or anything but I don’t really know if what they said is true. My questions are.
1) do these look like legit properly done katana? 2) what would be the best steel? (I went with T series because multiple people told me that it’s the best material for actual combat and for slicing while also being really good at keeping itself strong vs 1060+ steels) 3) if these are properly made legit katana why would the T10 be cheaper than T8? 4) if neither of these are good katanas to use and own then would seller would you recommend me?
Sorry for the long write I just felt like it would best help explain where I’m at and what I’m trying to understand.

I was thinking of asking “Any comics/books/games do people recommend?” Especially Legends, since that’s the part I’m most unfamiliar with. But I’m going to mix in a Top 10 or just your 10 favourite Star Wars stories. Specifically outside the movies and TV shows, since then TESB, RotS and Andor would be topping several of the lists.
For myself, here goes:

1. Darth Vader, Dark Lord of the Sith: The second Vader comic run by Charles Soule, tells the immediate aftermath of Vader’s rebirth in his suit. Detailing his earliest endeavours during the Empire. Fantastic comic, highly recommend, answers a lot of questions you didn’t even know you had.
2. Lost Stars: A YA novel by Claudia Gray. It spans from the Empire’s Reign to the Battle of Jakku, detailing the lives of two childhood friends, Thane and Ciena. Definitely a surprise, but a dame good read.
3. Thrawn: A novel by Zahn himself, needs little introduction, since it’s the canon introduction of everyone’s favourite Grand Admiral. As a Bonus, I highly recommend the audiobook, Marc Thompson is great, especially his Thrawn.
4. Light of the Jedi: First of the High Republic books and a great start by Soule, always strong with him. Again, audiobook is great, Thompson is the go to it seems and it’s just a solid read about the Great Disaster and the mysterious new enemy, the Nihil.
5. Into the Dark: The first YA High Republic novel, delves into an aftermath of the Great Disaster, a deserted space station and the ships forced to dock there when the Hyperspace Lanes close down. A real horror movie vibe at points, with a twist I did not expect. 6&7. Jedi Fallen Order and Survivor: I didn’t know what I expected, but Fallen Order, the story of Padawan survivor Cal Kestis finding something to fight for, whilst overcoming his past trauma is quintessential Star Wars and its sequel continues full speed.
6. Darth Maul: A definite surprise I did not expect to love a 5 issue series about Maul, especially one set before The Phantom Menace, but it definitely impressed me, probably helps that there’s a couple of familiar faces I didn’t expect to see joining Maul on his heist.
7. Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy: The fourth, final and best of the Kyle Katarn games, which is sad to say since it’s the game you don’t play as him. But seeing more of Luke’s school, Kyle taking on a Mentor role and the really good lightsaber combat for the time, was a great time.
8. The Rise of Kylo Ren: Questionable art in some places aside, an interesting dive into an incredibly underutilise part of Canon, Luke’s actual academy. The three students we meet and their views on the Force. The mysterious Knights of Ren and Ben’s turn to the dark is a really great story.

Hey so this is a throwaway account for obvious reasons.
I am involved in a divorce trial that has effectively gone off the rails after two years.
Last week I was anonymously contacted by someone who had deep knowledge about my trial, suggesting they were 'on my side' and a lot of other stuff. This person knew me by name, knew the case history, names of judges/lawyers, and has been pumping me for information about my intentions. I don't want to get into the details but I have strong reason to believe this person is working against me, either with an attempt to blackmail me, or to set me up.
The number was a Spectrum Mobile mobile phone number.
I am representing myself pro-se and I'm just wondering what is the process to convince a judge to issue a subpoena we can serve to Spectrum Mobile to uncover who contacted me anonymously?
I assume I file a motion asking the judge to issue a subpoena? And maybe I submit a sworn affidavit regarding my contact with this person and why I believe it is important to know who is contacting me?
Or is there a different process to request the judge issue subpoenas?
Do you think a judge would issue a subpoena for something like this? Like is it possible to compel Spectrum to tell us who is bugging me? Is this kind of thing common? If a judge is unlikely to rule in my favor I might not waste my time filing this report since doing so would alert everyone to the fact I am aware I am being set up.
On another level, this is also somewhat frightening. The person who contacted me is clearly an attorney or works fowith the Courts in some capacity. The Judges and Courts in this case believe I am about to stage a public protest, and I believe powerful people are trying to influence or destroy me.

To all my fellow Ithaca residents, please make sure to take to the polls today, to vote in the Ithaca City School District Board of Education election. If you believe in public education, making sure our students, teachers and support staff are getting the resources and tools they need to thrive and succeed, you will make time to get to the pools, between 12pm and 9pm. As many of you know, I spent 6 years on the Board of Education, until I made the difficult decision to resign two years ago. After receiving many Facebook messages, text messages, and phone calls in the past 24 hours from friends and community members asking me who they should vote for and if they should vote yes/no to the budget, I have decided to share my thoughts publicly so I can get back to my 9-5 job for the day . As a single mom of three and a homeowner, I empathize with the sentiment of people feeling like they can no longer afford to rent or own a home in Ithaca. However, Ithaca has been becoming unaffordable for quite some time, I say this as someone who has lived in this community for 21 years. This feeling did not start with our assessment that increased this past year or the rollout of the BoE budget. Voting NO to the budget will not change your assessment, it will not “stick it” to administrators, who will get their raises along with other unionized ICSD employees as part of contractual negotiations. Voting NO will punish and hurt children, teachers and supporting staff. Teachers and support staff will have less resources and support to educate and inspire our children if we have to adopt a contingency plan. And our most vulnerable students will suffer the most. “How a society treats its most vulnerable is always the measure of its humanity” – Ghandi. In this context, how ICSD cares for and educates its most vulnerable students is an indication of how well the school district fares in educating its school community.
As we have all read about four of our schools losing “Good Standing” status with NYSED, and our Black and Brown students feeling the impact of this the most; how can we as a community in good conscious, say that we will provide our children, our future leaders with less than they deserve to overcome the many obstacles that the pandemic has created. For all the caregivers, educators, mental health workers out there, we all know - no one is okay! Some of us were not okay before we were forced into a few years of isolation, so to expect our educators to be able to reconcile the damages that the pandemic created with fewer resources is setting our educators up for the impossible. And yes, taxpayers should not have to bear the weight of this alone when we live in a town with college/university campuses. So instead of glorifying the problem, why don’t we talk about structural solutions? How many of us know Anna Kelles and Lea Webb personally, socially or professionally? Why don’t we bring in our state representatives to help us think about structural long-term solutions of state aid and university contributions? And while we are at it, invite Governor Kathy Hochul who sits on the Board of Trustees of Cornell University to this conversation; why are we not thinking strategically about those who hold power to shift this paradigm? I know this will take time, and folks are concerned with the now.
What can we do now? We can do an inventory of what ICSD offers and provides our students and staff from academics to extracurricular activities. We can ask the questions of, what is the district allocating funding for and is it effective and for whom? The district has an Evaluation Officer, we need to hear from her on what are the impacts of our initiatives, programs, and the curriculum offerings. Our teachers and support staff have unions and union leaders. We need to hear from the union leaders, not just during budget season or when chaos is amiss, but throughout the academic years so we know how best to support teachers all year long.
I will be voting yes to the budget. Yes, it is a huge increase. But guess what folks? We have 12 schools in our very small city, and we are living during a time of high inflation so the services needed to support all these 12 schools have increased. A typical classroom in our building has many adults. I bring this up because I constantly hear the comparison of salary of ICSD teachers to teachers outside the district who are making more than ICSD teachers. 9/10 times these teachers in other districts are making more money because they don’t have co-teachers, teachers assistants, teacher aides, 1:1s, etc. I am in NO way making the argument to have less support in the classroom or to eliminate positions, I am pointing out that our district has a larger supporting staff than many other districts. Teachers and supporting staff deserve a HIGHER wage without question. But this is not an ICSD only problem, this is a nationwide issue. Our country has not put anywhere near enough funding into public education that is needed. And this is not an excuse for the Board or the highly paid administration team. But we have to be real about what are the root causes vs. symptoms of the problems. Give this article a read if you have time: Schools are bracing for widespread teacher layoffs. Now the tricky part of this post, who I am voting for. I am going to be brutally honest because that is just who I am. After attending the public forum with all seven candidates, I left with very very strong opinions of what I witnessed and heard. I plan to vote for Barry Derfel, Moira Long, and Eldred Harris. I know Barry Derfel very peripherally from sitting on the BoE, as well as when I worked for the Multicultural Resource Center, and he was supporting teachers with culturally responsive teaching as well as participating with the Talking Circles initiative. What I know of Barry, is that he is a supporter of equity and inclusion, meaning NO CHILD GETS LEFT BEHIND. Barry has been a teacher, an administrator, and is a parent – he understands the many facets of public education and how we are thriving as a district and how we are failing as a district. Two truths can stand side by side.
I was on the BoE with both Eldred and Moira during my tenure, and it was not always cordial and a walk in the park between us. But what I can say, is that in those behind the door conversations, heated debates, I rarely ever questioned their commitment to children and teachers and support staff. Moira has always championed for teachers and retirees; she understands their plight and struggles as a former teacher herself. Eldred and I both grew up in NYC (though he is my senior by maybe a couple decades) and understand the struggles of being hyper visible yet unseen, overcoming adversity, attending underfunded schools, and taught by teachers who were tasked with the impossible. I know Eldred to be someone who is going to champion for what is best for every child, someone who is going to tap into their radical imagination to think of another way forward, someone who has institutional knowledge and knows how far the district has come, and someone who is willing to ask the hard questions.
I’m going to close this long monologue by saying I believe in creating space for new voices at the table. However, some of these new voices are advocating for changes that will hurt specific populations of children, like candidates who are advocating to bring back policies such as "tracking", while research shows tracking has a disparaging outcome for students and frankly is a racist policy. I said it. There are also candidates who have flip flopped on their support of the budget, telling ITA they would vote yes and after receiving the teacher’s union endorsement telling community members, they would vote no for the budget. Misleading your constituents is never a good sign and not a good way to build community trust and engagement. If I had to vote for a fourth candidate, it would be Todd Fox. He was honest and transparent about his talents and his lack of knowledge of the processes within public education. However, he spoke with passion and authenticity when speaking about his experiences in the school district as a student, and the support he wished he had as a former ICSD student. What I hope for in a school board member, is someone is not afraid to ask the hard questions, someone who listens with compassion and empathy (even if they disagree), someone who takes the time to get to know their constituents and can be honest with themselves and their fellow board members when they are individually or collectively are missing the mark. And most importantly, someone who is is always thinking about equity, and who is at the table and who is not. Our district is in need of school board members who are looking beyond what their individual child needs and instead is looking at what all of our children need in order to receive an equitable education that allows them to more than survive but to thrive within ICSD.

First, my brother and I are very different people. He is technically my half brother, same mom and she has been married to my step father for nearly 30 years. All of our lives, he was raised differently. I was disciplined and given rules and forced to suffer consequences of poor behavior. I was grounded, had my video games taken away, and my stepfather was very strict and overbearing with me. But, not my brother.
After I graduated college, I moved to the city and he never left my parent's house. Ever. He was arrested at 17 for a minor drug offense then has had two DUIs since then. When he was 28, he finally forced to move out when my parents retired to a different state across the country. A few years later, he moved down to live with my parents and in their house. His girlfriend of 4 years also moved in with them. This was about 2 years ago now and I have seen nothing but him use them and claim victimhood. He's threatened suicide to them multiple times while making a scene up and down their neighborhood.
Now, I recently went to visit my parents because my mom has been diagnosed with breast cancer for the second time. She is getting a double mastectomy at the end of the month and prognosis is good. I had asked my brother to pick me up from the airport two weeks before, and he agreed. Two days before the trip, he rescinded, saying my mom had planned a daytrip for the family an hour away. I said no problem, and while it bothered me how he just canceled on me so abruptly, it kind of worked out with surprising my mom. So, I rented a car and met them at the house. After they all got home, I surprised her and my parents were happy and excited. I sat down and started talking with my brother and his now wife -- they were married in November, but neither of them chose to tell me. I discovered from my mom and she told me to not mention it, but I've started to find out most people in my family knew but me. So, I first found it very strange that his wife was talking with me now, because over the 4 years or so of them dating, she has said maybe 10 words to me total.
Anyway, as we talk, my brother rolls his eyes and gets immediately visibly angry and frustrated almost out of nowhere. I'm not sure what I even said or did. He then screams that he's going to bed. Three minutes later he stomps by and gives me a death stare, which isn't the first time he's tried this manipulation tactic. I stood up and said "what the fuck is your problem" and he rushed forward to me, his arm cocked up to hit me. I pushed beneath him and tried to put him in a headlock, and he did swing and hit me in the lip, busting it open. Not sure if it's relevant but I don't drink, and quit just over a year ago. He was on his 5th or 6th. My parents of course were screaming and irate for us to stop, and my stepfather pushed to separate us. My brother then started shouting at me all of the 'terribly offense horrible' things I said that evening. It was honestly insane because I never said any of that, it was all him repeating news headlines. He called me a libertarian, and I said he had no fucking clue what he was talking about. I am a liberal? He said I liked Trump. I can't stand Trump though. I don't like Biden either however. Anyway, it was crazy because politics weren't even being discussed.
Afterward, I wrote him a big 5 page letter explaining my feelings and apologizing but I decided to leave it be and not give it to him. I feel like he doesn't deserve my support anymore. I have always been the one reaching out and making an effort. He isn't my little brother anymore. He's a grown adult with a wife that he chose to hide from me while living rent-free on my parent's dime for the last 2 years. I think he has turned into an abuser, and I think his wife is either an abuser herself that's found a conveniently paid-in-full life or that she's a victim too. I've spoken to my mom about it and I know she isn't on his side, but I feel like she wants to provide for his wife. But I feel like his wife is using her too. It's such a shitty dynamic, and I feel like if my parents don't cut them off now, they are going to ruin the quality of the remainder of their lives.
Am I wrong to feel this way? Should I be doing more? I'm not sure if I should keep trying to convince my parents or not, it feels like they just dig in deeper each time he blows up. I also blocked my brother because he sent me a big paragraph of all the things he screamed at me.

So I come from a family where my ancestors (great- grandfather and his brothers) were freedom fighting guerilla's against the British empire. My great grandfather does a have a kill count (4 filthy scum of the earth racist colonizing Redcoats)as do his brothers . It does often get brought up in conversation when people ask me about my ancestral background after hearing my surname, as my family's very proud of our history and we've done a lot of good for our people. So I've come to UK for my studies and was talking to a couple of new friends about my family background and when I mentioned this one of my new brit uni friends got all offended when he heard it and told me you can't say stuff like that when you're in my country and got all in my face until I threatened to slap the shit outta him if he didn't shut up. I would like to know if this is really something offensive that I should avoid bringing or did I do nothing wrong and OP was the racist colonial apologist here.

At SummerSlam 2005, Rey Mysterio and Eddie Guerrero fought in a ladder match where the winner would be considered the legal father of Rey's son Dominik. THE INDEPENDENT YEARS

Alberto del Rio el Patron became Alberto el Padre in March 2017 by beating Bobby Lashley. He worked for TNA/Impact for a year, but he competed elsewhere as well. That included for WhatCulture Pro Wrestling. Alberto tried to qualify for their World Cup tournament, but he was denied by Rey Mysterio. Thus, WCPW made its greatest contribution to the wrestling world, temporarily unifying Dominik's televised paternity with his actual paternity. Deadbeat that he is, Rey lost custody of his son four months later to Will Osperay, who then lost it to Kushida. Kushida's win unified Dominik's televised paternity with the WCPW World Cup title.
This reign marks a new era in Dominik's televised custody. It starts a run where the fatherhood of Dom is defended across many different independent promotions. It does reappear in Impact during this stretch, but it adds major indies like Ring of Honor, Lucha Underground, and Game Changer Wrestling to its storied lineage.

If you thought 'hey, Blackcraft No Apologies' sounds familiar, that might be because I wrote about it before. It was (and, as of this writing, still is) one of the lowest-rated independent events in wrestling history according to the users of Cagematch. Part of the reason for that rating is the rush-job that was the end of the card; the match that saw Matthew Justice become Dom's televised father was one of three title matches that ran a combined total of 45 seconds.

THE AEW YEARS

After winning New South's HOSS tournament, Adam Priest showed up on the second ever episode of AEW Dark: Elevation. He fell to Lee Johnson on that card, meaning that Dirty Dom's televised paternity is All Elite. The lineage remains in AEW to this day. Fittingly, the two men who have battled over the right to be Dom's father are Patriarchy head Christian Cage and the man who has held Dom's lineal paternity longer than anyone else, Adam Copeland.

The Palatini of Orias journey took nine grueling days of traveling down the peaks of Torness Mountain Range. But at long last, they reached the Coralus Valley. While the temperature was far below what the half-elf usually enjoyed, it was far better than the mountain peaks.
They traveled through the valley, trying to avoid the multiple hostiles, villages, and anyone else who could tip off their enemies. They had to take every tedious path imaginable to prevent possible contact with the enemy.
Staring at their destination, Fraeya Holiadon could not decide if she should be thrilled or distorted at the sight. "Is this the place?"
"I believe so," Raegel said. "The pattern of the structures matches my drawings and the map. See the remains of the two walls?"
"And the stone rings that direct out," Henness said.
"So, you have read the legends," Raegel said, surprised by the centurion's knowledge of the temple.
"I always prepare before a mission," Henness said. "Those half rings, are they stone or artificial?"
"They look like stone, so I think they used the ground stone and molded them," Raegel said.
Fraeya Holiadon carefully stared at the temple ruins. All she could see was the destruction—fractured stone buildings, walls, weed-infested stone pavement, and so on. While there were still many stone structures, most were destroyed. She could only see death, not the walls her father could see.
She turned to ask her father what he was talking about but saw Centurion Fionntan Henness pointing toward the walls and other details.
Watching the two communicate about the features of the temple, she realized how out of depth she was. Her father spent generations studying ruins like this, while Henness is an experienced soldier. For Fraeya, this was her first mission outside the academy supervision, and she realized how different the world was compared to the classroom.
As the two spoke, her elf ears overheard Henness mention that he saw green webbing. As the two men debated what creatures could create that webbing, she already knew based on the type of webbing. Being an excellent student, she recalled the topic regarding intelligent monsters. While many species produce a web, only one creates a thick green. Goblins.
"Father," Fraeya said. "I think goblins made those webbings."
"How could you possibly know that?" Henness asked, unconvinced by the theory. "It would easily be Rorgo or a Kipt."
Fraeya reached into her backpack and pulled out her notepad. She flipped through the pages and responded, "Kipt is more silk-like, while Rorgo is more for capturing prey. Both are white. Only Goblins make green."
"She is correct," Raegel said. "The green should have been a given."
"Alright," Henness said. "That complicates things."
"How so?" Fraeya asked. "The academy said they are weak. Adventures and local militia kill them constantly, so your men should be able to wipe them out with your weaponry easily."
"Goblins are weak in small numbers, but they are a nightmare in large numbers," Henness said. "And depending on the horde, they adapt to who their enemies are quickly. For all I know, we could be fighting a nest that is as heavily armed as we are."
Fraeya looked back toward the next with much confusion. She knew about the goblin's ability to adapt. However, her teachers never stated how formal they could be. Only treating them as barbarians is a functional civilization. "I would think the academy would mention something like that."
"If you are going to be out here in the world, you must understand that life is very different from the classroom," Henness said. "The difference between someone who lives behind a desk versus someone on the ground. Now, I need to get my forces ready for our attack."
Once the centurion left, Fraeya looked at her father. "I am starting to get the impression that my schooling wasn't as truthful as I once thought."
Raegel chuckled at the statement from his daughter. "That is what I said when I left my academy in Thali'ean," he said with a short chuckle before he spoke. "Henness was correct; there is a large gap between the classroom and out here in the world."
"I see. So, now, what do we do?"
"We wait for the legionaries to form a plan. Because time is not on our side, he will want you to assist with your magic. Do you think you can assist? If you are uncomfortable, tell me now, and you can stay here where it is safe."
Feeling a nervous chill creeping down her spine, she looked back toward the temple and breathed heavily. "I admit, I am scared, but I didn't come here to babysit the camp. I want to help."
She felt her father pat her on the back, feeling a sense of pride from his touch.
"That's my daughter."
After an hour of planning, the Palatini of Orias began their assault on the temple ruins. The plan was for a primary team to assault the temple directly, triggering a response from the goblin. The second team would remain on the high ground and pick off the horde.
Fraeya ended up on the right side of the group team. To her surprise, many soldiers were thrilled that they were finally getting into a fight. She wondered, after two weeks of crawling over the mountains and hiding like rodents, they finally got a chance to be soldiers.
The primary assault group she was attached to advance toward the temple once the signal was given. Passing one of the few remaining wall structures, they entered the temple ground. As they swept through the old temple's front sections, the goblins huddled around a fire pit, noticed them, and prepared for battle.
Three legionaries known as circilmen, from the palatini positioned themselves to engage the incoming enemy. Carrying a ranged projectile weapon known as a circiletum, they hid behind the front shield men and fired upon the incoming enemy. They picked off two of the three goblins as the last one quickly crawled under a piece of rubble for cover. Then, the palatini heard a painful screech from the hiding goblin.
Fraeya couldn't help herself but stand there noticing the two fresh corpses. She then watched as two of the swordsmen rushed to the hiding goblin. They reached in and pulled the little green monster out of its hiding spot.
Two swordsmen grabbed the goblin and dragged it from its cover, it jumped on top of one of the legionaries, stabbing its blade into its armor, unable to break through. With a short struggle, the legionary could slam the goblin onto the ground. The other legionary stomped on the body before thrusting his gladius into the monster.
Hearing another screech, Fraeya looked down the stone path and saw goblins popping out of every crack and corner.
One of the legionary officers ordered the unit to reform. The swordsmen took the front with their large scutum shields, creating a two-line protective shield wall. Behind them were the circilmen, taking cover behind the scutum.
The group of goblins charged forward. As they approached, the legionaries saw the raw, starving rage within their dark green eyes—a thirst for primal instincts of food and lust and nothing else.
"Fraeya, is it?"
Hearing her name, she turned to the commanding offer of this group.
"When I give the order, shake the ground." The lower-ranking Centurian said.
Fraeya acknowledged the order as she understood what he was planning.
Turning back to the incoming horde, she watched the three circilmen open fire. The circiletums cut down the forward group of goblins. The ones behind that row suddenly stopped from the shock but were cut down by a second volley.
"Now. Before they scatter."
Fraeya placed her hands together and chanted. The two tiny mana crystals on her gloves blew green as she felt a raw energy channel through her body. A moment later, that glow expanded to the point that it encompassed her hand.
Channeling the mana needed for the spell, Fraeya placed her left hand on the ground.
The stone ground beneath them shook the stone terra, stunning the goblins. Right down the center, cracks formed, and the terra broke apart. The road slightly uplifted into an elevation, forcing the goblins to focus on what was happening.
With the ground disinformed, it prevented the enemy from scattering in an organized manner, allowing the circilmen to fire another volley.
The front scutum marched forward and started cutting down anything that moved. The other line split into two groups. They were marching down the street in an almost synchronized manner. They held their shields high toward the ruins, protecting the circilmen from any incoming projectile. Arrows and magic.
Fireballs flew and impacted the scutum infantry, protecting the flanks. Some of the shields glowed from the impact. The flames engulfed one of the men's arms, and he started to scream from the pain.
The circilmen returned fire, and a firefight began. The sound of their weapons crackled throughout the surrounding area, amplified by the ruined walls. Above the sound of battle were the voices and cries of the wounded—the circiletum that were deployed on the ridge above rained fire from the suppressive team.
The Palatini of Orias pushed deeper into the temple ground as the battle continued. That was until the town began to be consumed by this thick haze, providing cover for the goblins, and restricting visibility for the Lat forces. While not educated to the standards of civilized races, Goblins were not stupid.
"It is a haze," Fraeya said. "They must have a mage somewhere within the nest."
Centurion Fionntan Henness approached their forces and began to regroup. "Can you counter it?"
"No," Fraeya replied. "I never studied Aeromancy magic."
"Nebulo," Henness said. "Our armor and weapons will be less effective."
Fraeya understood his concern. From what she recalled from her classes; goblins have sharp senses. Based on the density of the haze, it was clear even to her that they were planning to force them to huddle and expose themselves to be surrounded, making their ranged weapons worthless.
"We will just have to work around it," Raegel said.
As Frayea prepared herself, she felt a strange feeling throughout her body, almost like some field affecting her body. She saw a female legionary in light armor and a cloak checking over the wounded. One of the few women in the legionary, she could tell she was the unit healer specializing in Sanamancy magic. The women must have placed a barrier to help protect against any poisonous gasses lying within the haze.
Orias advanced through the haze; this forced the soldiers to clump together for safety. As the assault group progressed, they were hit non-stop by the goblin's arrow fire, spears, and fire shots from sling guns. Most of these projectiles caused minor damage thanks to the heavy armor legionary’s wear. However, this did not remove the damage as it brought discomfort and limited their progression to a crawl.
Barely noticing two figures on top of a rooftop through the haze, who were firing slingshots toward their position, she pointed her hand toward a piece of rubble and, with her magic, lifted the debris and projected it through the haze. The rubble temporarily formed a gap in the haze that increased the line-of-sight.
She then called out to the fire battle mage within the unit. The mage realized what was happening and fired multiple firebolts toward the tower. Five bolts impacted the building from different directions, engulfing the structure in flames. Everyone could hear the faint sound of goblins screaming as the building burnt.
With the tower collapsing suddenly, arrows rained through the thick haze, hitting the legionaries in retaliation. While most arrows bounced off the armor, some found exposed spots. Two more legionaries fell to their knees, with one vomiting blood, forcing the healed to focus on the sick over protecting the group.
It became clear that the goblins changed their tactics and poisoned their arrows. While worthless against armor, they could still puncture the underneath clothing and scrap any exposed part of the skin.
A luperca legionnaire picked up an old broken wagon and used it as a shield to protect. With the cover, the lower ranking commanders directed the circilmen to pick off any goblins that peaked above the surface.
Combined with the haze and change of tactic, this formed a strange stalemate between the two sides. The Orias was forced into a defensive; they were well equipped to deal with any goblins who dared to get within melee range. However, the goblins had surrounded and had the range advance as they could see through the haze, allowing them to snipe any legionary who adventured far from the group.
Fraeya saw a blob of acid impact a swordsmen's scutum. The scutum started being consumed by the spell, slowly falling into pieces. The man screamed as he felt his arm burn, desperately untieing the strappings to ditch the heavy shield.
"We need to kill their shaman before we are picked off," Raegel said.
"I agreed," Henness replied. "As long as this haze is here, my suppressive team is useless."
"If I recall," Fraeya said. "A Shaman should be nearby. Someone close enough to maintain this haze and give commands but not put themselves in danger."
"Then I know where it should be," Henness said. "Let's go half-elf."
She felt her ears perk up once she realized the centurion was talking about her. She looked toward her father and saw the 'it is time to prove yourself' look. Taking a deep breath and preparing herself, she gathered behind Henness and six of his men.
The assault unit left the main one and adventurer deeper into the temple grounds. As they reached what remained of an intersection, goblins stormed out of the stone buildings to ambush the legionaries.
With their disciplined reaction, the legionaries immediately adjusted their formation and sliced down the attackers. Henness stood at the center, holding his sword out as flames wrapped around the blade.
As the goblins attacked the swordsmen, Fraeya broke apart the ground on the right flank, knocking many goblins. The one that fell, she entangled them by summoning vines - which trapped the goblins and pulled them into the ground until their death or burial.
She then turned and lifted parts of the ground on the left flank, blocking some of the goblins. This prevented the legionaries from being encircled.
"Reform," Henness ordered. "We need to advance quickly. Stay close."
Once the path was clear, the unit moved toward the building where the goblins had fortified. Henness moved in front of her to provide protection. He held up his shield, deflecting arrows.
"Stay behind me," Henness said.
While not being a military woman, Fraeya quickly learned to accept the chain of command on this quest. On the battlefield, her father told her to listen to Henness as he was a man of war. She realized that the structure and safety of the city and the academy are vastly different in the countryside. Getting behind him, she followed him close behind as he pushed forward, arrows striking his shield, allowing her to get in range for her spell.
The legionaries stopped engaging the incoming goblins, allowing their centurion and the young mage to get closer. Henness reached around his scutum and pressed the amulet attached to the outer shell's center. Once pressed, the large shield briefly glowed before darkening, returning to the standard red with white lining design.
Up ahead, Fraeya saw in full display of the nest. Spikes, fortification, and green webbing filled the gaps between the ruined structures. Skeletons and decomposing bodies littered the areas of their past victims. The goblins were standing in the bunker sections, preparing for battle. With how heavily guarded it was, she concluded that this must be where the Shaman was.
"Fraeya, now!"
Fraeya moved around the man to cast her spell. With a quick chant, her hands glowed green again. As she channeled her mana, an acid attack impacted Henness' scutum. While the added hardening enchantment from the amulet increased the scutum resistance, the acid slowly ate through the large shield.
Stepping from cover, Fraeya aimed her hands at the nest. The ground trembled a little as the front of the nest collapsed on itself from the summoned sinkhole.
With the front entrance open, Fraeya saw the Shaman in plain view—a female, being one of the few within a goblin nest. The Shama looked scared as she looked around where to hide.
Fraeya did not give it time as she cast a spell that created a spike from the ground below the Shaman and pierced straight through the vicious monster, killing it instantly.
As the Shaman staff hit the ground, the haze started to disappear.
Believing that her work was complete after killing the goblin leader, her ears quickly heard footsteps surrounding them.
Noticing that the goblins were about to swarm their position, she took cover behind Henness to protect his rear. She took a deep breath as she felt exhausted from the battle and cast so many spells quickly.
Starting at five goblins that emerged from the ruins, Fraeya watched as they charged toward them. Before they got close, however, each one was sniped from the ridge-side suppressive team.
With a moment of confusion, she stared toward the cliffside and saw the suppressive team. Now that the haze is disappearing, they could snipe off the remaining goblins from their elevation position.
"Good job, half-elf," Henness said, slowly stepping back with a shield aimed at the flames, guiding Fraeya back.
"Stop calling me half-elf," Fraeya yelled. "I am out here risking my life with the rest of you, and don't give me that war is a male-domain thing! I am willing to see this through. Most of my kind would stay home and let you fight, so why do you keep degrading me?"
"Because ideals get people killed," Fionntan Henness replied. "Out here, you must earn that respect within the brotherhood of warriors, especially if you are used to living inside the city walls. People with a self-protected mindset usually end up as food for the worms or get my soldiers killed because they do not understand what it takes to survive."
The centurion then turned to the destroyed nest. "I will say, though, what you did here. It is a good first step for a half-elf." He then turned to give her an approving smile.
Not understanding the humor from the Lat, Fraeya accepted it. From her experience, Lats always had a strange sense of humor. Insults are sometimes seen as compliments while praising could be considered offensive. Saying one thing but meaning another is a common trait for them.
With the remaining palatini coming after clearing the remaining goblins, Fraeya saw her father. She rushed over and hugged him and teared up.
"You did good, my dear," Raegel said as he patted her.
"Is this really what it is like out here?" Fraeya asked.
"Sadly, it is," Fraeya replied. "That is why I never brought you around on my digs."
"I am sorry to interrupt," Henness said. "We are on borrowed time, so can we get at it?"
Fraeya looked toward the centurion with frustration as she wanted a moment with her father. After taking a deep breath, she realized that he was right.
After finishing her hug, she brushed off the goblin's blood and clothing.
"Then we better begin searching for what we came for," Raegel said as he reached for his bag. She watched as he pulled out a perfectly smoothed, pure black orb. By itself, it didn't look impressive. She had seen hundreds of these orbs at the academy or the many workshops within the city.
Raegel held the orb in one hand and activated it with his mana. The orb glowed light blue and fainted, barely emitting any energy. He then took it against the mountain and began scanning.
Not wanting to miss anything, Fraeya quickly pulled out her journal, skipping past all her notes until she reached a blank page. She then began documenting everything her father did, taking in every world and detail.
The palatini began walking through the ruins, heading toward the mountain wall. Raegel explained in his research that the temple extended inside the mountain, like a dwarf borrian. While others who came before him came up with this theory, they were still looking for a way to detect the hidden door markings and find it.
Raegel moved down the side of the mountain, holding the orb high.
"Why are you not using a door-detecting amulet?" Fraeya asked.
"Because people have been using that for generations and found nothing here," Raegel replied.
After a reasonable amount of time when nothing had happened, Fraeya began to wonder if everything was for nothing. Seeing the lack of progress, Henness inquired if the orb failed to work. As Raegel replied, the orb suddenly blimped orange for a moment.
Witnessing the sudden change, the group backed away as they did not know how to respond to the sudden glow.
Noticing a renewed excitement from her father, she followed him closely as they investigated the mountainside.
As they searched, her father noticed that the faint blue glow from the orb had changed to orange. It then disappeared and slowly appeared, like it was slowly pulsing. When they continued walking forward, the pulsing light increased in speed.
"I think it is directing us, father," Fraeya said.
"Possible," Raegel said. "There must be some type of link."
The palatini followed the direction the orb gave. As the group approached a mountainside wall, the pulse frequency increased until it looked like the orb glowed a solid color.
"I think we found it," Raegel said. He lifted the orb toward the wall.
As the orb drew closer to the mountainside, these blue lines appeared all over the rocky wall. The rough chips of rock melted away and turned smooth as the light traveled through the grooves, slowly creating what looked like a giant door of light.
Once the bright lights finished designing a massive door, Fraeya placed her hand on the wall, shocked at how the natural bulky rocks turned into a marble-like wall.
"I would step aside, Fraeya," Raegel said.
As Fraeya stepped backward, she watched her father open the door with a magical spell. Like most magical doors, the door brightened as she expected it would fold into the mountain. To her surprise, the door didn't fold away but melted into the ground.
"What happened to the door?" Fraeya asked.
Raegal placed his hand on his chin. "It seemed that the wall was not solid but some liquid matter. These people are impressive."
The wall began to shake as dusk from the cracks spread through the area.
A large opening formed as the door walls folded into the mountainside. A passage leading deeper into the mountain. The walls were black and smooth, while the floor had these textiles in perfect order, leading deeper into the mountain.
"This has to be a dwarven design," Fraeya commented. "Only they could do something like this."
"I'm not sure," Raegel said. "This is not a design I have seen from dwarves."
Fraeya understood what her father meant. Dwarven doors into the mountains took a lot of work to find. While there were many designs of such hidden doors and the means to open them, it was doubtful that anyone had ever seen a secret magical door like this before.
Raegel started to walk into the chamber but was suddenly stopped by Henness. Stating that he wanted his men to go first to ensure no trap, three legionaries moved through the large chamber. Once they gave the clear, the rest of the group entered.
While walking, Fraeya stayed close to her father as she took notes. The soldiers ahead of them set up torches to add more light. To her surprise, the walls and floor were smooth. The air was stale, probably trapped within this chamber for centuries.
As they walked inside, the room lit up. Everyone stopped as they looked toward the end of the hall. The chamber was empty, with only a strange-looking platform at the very end. Noticing that the orb was pointing toward the platform, they approached it.
"Is this it?" Henness asked. "It does not look that impressive."
"Not everything is based on size, centurion," Raegel replied, to which his daughter giggled.
Fraeya then analyzed the platform. It was smooth, almost marble-like. However, she doubted whether it was marble. The fundamental details that she noticed were a strange-looking blue crystal at the center of the platform and another in a hole on the side.
"This is interesting," Fraeya commented. The design looked surprisingly simple. This orb must act as some command orb for this device. They must be communicating in some manner."
"Assuming that the legend was true, the orcs were the ones who summoned the lats from Altaerrie," Fraeya said. "Maybe, when this place was lost of that time, it was never turned off. Being left in a state of slumber, waiting to be reawakened."
"Possible. It would explain why the orb directed us here. The orange pulse is now pointing down at a rapid pace."
"I think it goes into that hole, father," Fraeya said. "From what I can tell, the crystal in there connects to the one on top of the platform."
"I see," Raegel said. "The pulse is pointing toward it too. I recommend that everyone step back."
"Be careful, father," Fraeya said.
Stepping back from the platform, Fraeya watched as her father placed the orb into the hole. This was the moment her father had been talking about for decades, and it had finally come true. The Bridge between two worlds had finally been discovered.
As Raegel placed the orb into the platform, it glowed orange in a solid state, no longer pulsing. The blue crystal in the middle of the platform slowly lit up, like it was waking up after a long sleep.
The air suddenly chilled as the air flowed toward the platform. A bright light beamed out of the crystal and slowly faded away, leaving a light as if on standby.
To their dismay, the orb changed to red, dimming and brightening in a slow, tired pattern.
"What is it doing, father?" Fraeya asked.
"I have no idea," Raegel replied. "It must be waiting for something."

So check this out gang, back in 2012 and forward a few years much of what the game was to be - was discussed and of course it's unrealistic to expect people to remember all of it so I'd like to make a reminder post about it. Specifically pertaining to the ship selections.
First, a disclaimer. If you want a realistic approach, I recommend NOT buying a ship for a gameplay loop you are unsure about, have limited to no experience in, and is not fully built out because changes are always coming, and it may ruin it for you. Also, each ship is designed for THAT purpose so if you try to use it for anything else but, it sucks. I read tons of comments advising ship sales to new player without asking what they like, their playstyle, hours/experience etc. If it's a starter ship like a titan or a nomad, sure, the general approach works. But I see people advising people buy 200$ + ships... knock that off.
I have an uncomfortable amount of money in this game because I'm dumb and I'm sure some people reading this will feel that in their soul, but we all need to remember what the devs say pertaining to this because your ship is literally your livelihood in the game (not in the alpha builds obviously).
Two important points were discussed years ago, the first is the different manufactures built and soon to be built for the same class. Such as the fighters/hauling/mining and so on. I see so much discussion about min maxing damage output and what is 'best' and also people asking why this ship and why that if another exists. Because it's not always about the numbers. They talked about this a few years back, why do you think you can buy 40 different sedan models that are basically the same thing with smaller tradeoffs for a car in real life? Choices and personal preferences, guys. I highly recommend you stop trying to spreadsheet your way through an alpha or even for when the game goes live... someday. It's an alpha... Chill.
Second, Stop buying or recommending ships to people if they don't even have a gameplay loop. If you want them, great, CIG will take your money but what I mean is don't buy for what they say it will be, buy for what it is. It'll avoid frustration when they change that loop later due to game mechanics or something unforeseen.

Let me start by saying this is okay for use on the pod and shout out to Jesse I hope youv’e been enjoying my photoshop edits.
Let me start this story with some backstory, back in 2011 we had some major family drama between my moms family and her sisters/my aunts family that I don’t really wanna get into on here. Needless to say once the drama was settled both families never saw really eachother again. My mom’s sistemy aunt who’s family we had the drama with sadly passed away last year due to lung cancer and her and my mom never made up. my moms other sister my auntie EM ((that’s not her real name that’s just her nickname she asked us to call her cause she loves the wizard of OZ)) that lives in Washington who was a neutral party in the family drama was gifted my aunts dining room table when she came out for the service ((which mom was made clear she was not invited to)) Unsure of how to get it back to Washington my Auntie EM decided to leave it at our house and we switched it with our dining room table for now. Ever since we got this table in our house I’ve felt uncomfortable I’m pretty sure my deceased aunt is haunting us, within the first few days of having it I experienced objects moving on their own. I was setting up my computer in my basement and left my computer and put the charging cord down on top of my computer to go do something else for just a second I never left tand when I came back the cord was wrapped around a chair on the other side of the room from where I put it down, I never left the basement I was gone for a sec so if SOMONE came down and moved it I would have heard them. Other than that the only other bizzare thing to happen was one night I had an extremely vivid nightmare where I was lying in bed I couldn’t move and my bed sheets were attacking me after a few seconds I could move and I put my head on my pillow as I heard running sounds before being jumpscared by the face of my dead aunts zombified corpse after which I woke up in a cold sweat. Mostly I’ve been experiencing your normal haunting shenanigans hearing the front door open and close when I’m home alone calling out to see if anyone’s there and having no response and the feeling of being watched.

This FYI will focus on giving you a strong start in my faction, Apart from Live events and Towers, your two main issues at the start will be Proving Grounds (PG) and Faction Wars (FW).
I will discuss faction wars later in the article as some of the strongest cards in the game, even at present, are located there. But to have an easier time in faction wars you will need good card to begin with. So hers how to get a head start on some great Sapphire and Ruby Cards.
In regards to your starter pack choose whatever you prefer, you will receive emerald evo cards which, by meeting specific requirements will evolve gem levels eventually reaching Ruby 80 overall. I tend to go for Strikers as they are easier to meet the requirements and MFP match actions for PG, Lives and Towers.
MyRise and Showcase:
Completion of these modes unlock various my faction cards and some of them are very strong.
Cheesing Myrise and Showcase: If you just want to blast through the modes, set it to easy and go to balancing, then turn everything in your favour, reversals, kick outs, health and regarding submission, change it so the AI is punished for wrong button presses, you not so and correct button presses are strong for you and weak for AI, you will be submitting people in seconds unless the match has objectives or stipulations to meet first. Is it scummy? Yes. Does it matter? No.
I would recommend showcase first, this can be laborious as you cant just win it but have to complete all objectives, again the difficultly adjustment will help but the part that rewards you is the end. It involves you taking part as the first entrant in a 30 man battle royale, to meet all objectives to unlock the showcase cards you need to survive and also eliminate 10 individuals during the run. Choose your wrestler wisely! Someone whos strong can reverse but can survive!
For completing Showcase Royale Rumble with 10 eliminations and winning you receive the following my faction cards which in my opinion are the best starting cards in the game prior to the FW bosses:

• Ruby Shawn Michaels '94 (83 Overall) - Amazing Agility, he will be your ladder match card
• Ruby Bianca Belair (82 Overall)
• Ruby Charlotte Flair (82 Overall)

My Rise is split into two Story's One male (Undisputed), one female (Unleashed), the female is linear and requires only one playthrough as long as you do all optional objectives to get all of the cards. Unleashed provides far more cards and far better cards:

This section will be quick as I may do a whole FYI article on Faction wars and the best cards and why but my list in order are as follows:
Best Males:

1. Stone Cold Steve Austin
2. Rock (either, same stats and badges if not Cena will suffice the one that matches rocks badges)

After this its your choice, another rock or Cena couldn't hurt, YOKO and Andre were beast but the stamina nerf has affected them. Undertaker has terrible badges for his class but his super finisher is a submission and coupled with his space invader badge he can make submitting foes easy. I am not the biggest fan of Cody card but he's okay,
Your 4th card for the line up should be your showcase Shaun Michaels, TRUST ME!
Honorable Mentions:
The FW Sapphire Roman, Bobby, 78 Cena and Randy can be good.
Females:

1. TRISH STRATUS WITHOUT A DOUBT. OP, still one of the best female cards.
2. Bailey - Trust me her badges, she stuns easy and her stuns drain enemy special and finisher.
3. Either Charlotte 84 or the Becky 84 but go for charlotte, quicker limb attacks, on a stun bar can do three leg attacks, Becky does one! Furthermore, she has purple space invader meaning her subs are stronger.

FW Sapphire Trish Stratus, Asuka, Chyna.
