However, a customer informed me after receiving their invoice that they wanted us to use a different VAT number. I have already created a credit memo for the invoice with the wrong VAT but now I need to create a new one without moving stock. Is there a way to create an invoice with inventory items but without touching the stock?

Im alone on my birthday. I never thought it would be this lonely. It is currently 4:00am and I just turned 21 today and i haven’t really accomplished any important milestones yet and the existential dread keeps creeping up in my thoughts. I cant stop ruminating on my death and what could have been with my past relationships. I have been in and out of work, getting fired, getting into decent jobs that paid commission in sales but i could never hold onto a job. I still live with my parents. I pay for things when i can like groceries and help out with rent but at the moment im unemployed trying to look for a job. I actually have a interview later today at 9 am. Im just exhausted to work and not own anything. I just feel frustrated. I used to work two jobs everyday. I dont know where my life is headed. Im in constant paranoia and fear. My anxiety never stops. I currently have a girlfriend and i also helped her pay for her car note and insurance. Nobody is coming to help me. Is this what life is to be a man? I just want security. I was cheated on by this current gf and i forgave her. My thoughts are all over the place. All this anger is overwhelming all this pain i have all this regret. Her family tells her to look for a better looking and more responsible man. I used to have a car that i bought with my own money but my father sold it. I havent ate in a while either im just sitting in bed rotting in my birthday. Hopefully it gets better i guess. But ima just past the time watching black pill and try to ground myself to reality.

I bought a new gas cooktop for our kitchen remodel. It is a Capitol Maistro model MCT365GS-L SS That I purchased from US Appliance. It is the propane gas model
The cooktop was installed and we have been using it for a few months with no issues. We really like it.
One day we had guests over for dinner and as I turned off the last burner, there was a loud bang and all the knobs and burners were flung up into the air. Fortunately, the pot that was cooking did not get thrown all over me. This happened right in front of 4 of us.
The next day I contacted the service department of the manufacturer ADCO Service and spoke to a representative named Jerry. I explained the situation and gave him the model number, serial number and a copy of the sales invoice.

After 3 weeks from my original complaint with no results, I decided to get firmer with ADCO. I sent Jerry an email saying that his reply of "We are still searching for a servicer in your area" was unacceptable and that I was putting them on notice that if I didn't get contacted by a Servicer in 48 hours or a tracking number for a new unit shipped to me, I was going to take stronger action. I also said that if my property was damaged or a member of my family is injured or killed because of this defective cooktop, I would be sure to sue them for anything and everything I could.
There has been no response from either a service tech or Jerry at ADCO.
So besides posting about this issue on social media, what do you suggest is my next move? I have contacted an attorney but other than that, do any of you have any suggestions?

The cooktop was installed and we have been using it for a few months with no issues. We really like it.
One day we had guests over for dinner and as I turned off the last burner, there was a loud bang and all the knobs and burners were flung up into the air. Fortunately, the pot that was cooking did not get thrown all over me. This happened right in front of 4 of us.
The next day I contacted the service department of the manufacturer ADCO Service and spoke to a representative named Jerry. I explained the situation and gave him the model number, serial number and a copy of the sales invoice.

Yes if you are under 40 and have enough to pay all bills without working people judge the ever living day lights out of you. They make all kinds of assumptions especially since I live a modest lifestyle. I could care less about living in a big house or owning some Telsa. I own a good gaming Desktop and PS5. That's about all the luxury I care to have. Beyond that I live with a roommate, own a modest car and eat in.
When people ask what I do saying "I'm doing fine". Should be the end of the conversation. But that's never the case.
Working two sales jobs frankly has made me hate society as a whole. After losing the last one due to COVID I just haven't been passionate about getting something else. Just had an interview yesterday at a bank where the dude interrupted me a few times to complain about those working under him. And since LinkedIn has done the whole repeating ID request doom loop. I'm apparently locked out of much of the employment market if the Gen Z dudes I know are correct about that trendy M$ braindead site. It's basically TikTok for jobs from what little I got to use it before the random Defacto ban even though I didn't even use it over a year.
At church being unemployed basically means I'll never fit in. But even in other social context it's been true.
It's not even like I want to talk about people's life situation. Others just insist on bringing it up and making a giant deal out of it. I don't talk about how much I have. It's just I don't have a job and I do fine. That's all. I don't talk about investments now because the last friend that I told isn't my friend anymore and got divorced after losing the house.
People clearly care more about this than not dating and I thought that was a pain. Like the time I got into an argument with a pastor that told me anyone can reproduce and therefore all should get married unless they are going to be a full time minster. Yeah after giving my two 2 cents they told me please don't return if you can't accept our family values.
It's really why can't I go to a church and not have someone want an argument because I answer in plain truth. It's somehow a worse version of the why aren't you dating/married argument. And all I want is peace.

I'm now tasked with implementation of Odoo in our own company and i have some questions i couldn't find answers to. I would love to get help here.
1) custom invoice templates - I found out, that invoices can be edited through some HTML(?) coding. But there is a sentence saying that it will destroy my edit when updated, and i should use Odoo Studio instead. Funny enough i can't seem to find where to use the Studio for this, since its greyed out everywhere. Does someone know how to edit template (not only for invoicing, but for delivery lists and others aswell) through studio? Is it better than using the HTML?
2) Can you import your goods from other system with quantity? - I tried to import our stock into Odoo, which works fine... until you add the quantity of goods. Then i get this annoying error about "location_id". Nothing works after this. I tried exporting it with location_id and just editing it, but it doesnt work. I watched some tutorials on youtube etc. but they seem to have no problem. Shall i maybe import the products in one module and quantity in other? or something like that?
3) I still have a problem figuring out how does basic cash register for employees work. I have the Expenses module, which seems to work fine. Then you can make payments in Accounting module under the cash section. But it seems... wrong. I just need a confirmation that im doing the right thing and i will continue with it, but it seems like I'm not doing it right. Its basic cash register for when employees are payed for parking, gas, etc. There are just money taken out of it by employees, not in. Also i need reciepts for this! Shall i download point_of_sale module?

I dont know how to phrase this so I'm just gonna do my best. Some backstory is probably needed. I've been working for a retail store for 3 years now as the GM, I also worked there for 2 years in college which is why I landed the job when I left corporate office life. Relevant parties are my previous bosses Alison and Dirk* (names will be changed), who hired me at the suggestion of my predecessor (who worked there 25 years and also had the ol adhd), sold the business but not the building in late '21 so are effectively the LL's, Aaron, the current owner and my boss, who bought the store in mid 2023 after a secondary owner flipped it, and my bf David who works at the store pt for extra cash with the blessing of all owners past and present bc we keep our relationship outside of work and he's a damn hard worker.
So, Alison and dirk were like...not really around? And they didn't know how the backend software worked so they just kinda left me to my own devices so I fell into some pretty awful habits, mainly that I'm super territorial and if something isn't done I just do it myself or that since I wasn't given direction or goals my days just kinda became "idk clean the shelves and take the trash out" which had led to my staff liking me but not necessarily respecting me. And I spent so much time with sales reps bc I had to work alone all day, so much so that my best friends are all industry cohorts, bc I had NO oversight outside of A&D coming in, chastising me about new products I'd ordered, and fucking off. I could go weeks wo seeing them. Let me be clear, the store had money coming in, it looked great, the books mostly balanced (a&d notwithstanding) and I have always taken immense pride in my little pocket of locally sourced product. Every product was handchosen by me, I sell the shit out of it on the floor, I'd post us on socials, I'd regularly run spreadsheets to make sure our margins were competitive and made sense, I wasnt fucking around all day but I had no sense of direction, I was treading water with no shore in sight. My staff will be the first to tell u I don't ask them to do anything I'm not willing to do so I would scrub the toilet or empty the mousetraps or organize the stock area.
So all that to say, Aaron bought a failing business that I didn't even know was failing (and not due to anything I'd done, it was failing from the top) bc they never told me anything, I submitted my reports every month and checked the sales but I was never given metrics or told what metrics needed to be met just "keep the place operational". I'd ask for access to Moneris to make sure we were charged correctly and got shot down. Id ask what our overhead was so i could figure out how much we could afford for payroll and id be told "thats confidential", just keep it barebones. And understandably Aaron wants to turn that around, but he needs me to get on board and I want to so badly I know he can see that so hes working so hard to shift my mindset and help me grow into the leader he thinks im capable of and I know he gets so frustrated with me bc he has adhd too and he knows I'm like SO GOOD AT MY JOB if I'm given clear goals and deadlines but ive had a routine ya know? And then we've been sold twice in 2 years and all the chaos that comes with structural changes and different expectations. He's throwing every tool in the book at me right now bc he can see I'm struggling.
And that's where david becomes relevant bc he actually went to him over the weekend and asked him what HE thought would help me bc he obviously knows me better than anyone and my dumb ass bf done gone and said "we need to come up w a plan for best operating practice and maybe shed benefit from leadership coaching" so now that's been put in my plate on top of everything else which is like FINE but I'm not baking him any bread or sharing my pulled pork w him anytime soon. When i told David that aaron mentioned their convo he said "ummm that was not the outcome i was expecting" and he knows i fully expect him to help sort out the mess he just threw on my desk. So now my boss has asked me to find an executive function coach and he will pay for 4 consultations so I can implement some systems for time management.
Yall we thrive on routine I know this and he's working w me to meet me where I am so I wanna make the best of it so all that rambling to say - have any of u ever done this? Did u benefit from it? What types of questions should I ask in the consultation before I decide on one? Have u tried it? Did it work?
