Hello,
I had recently made a post about rescuing 3 new chinchillas, they came with a cage too small with nothing in it but a bowl (no constant pellets) and a metal slab I later learned people use as cooling stones but they don’t work. It was neglectful to say the least.
They did have hammocks they had eaten to shreds. They took them down to clean the cage for me and I couldn’t even figure out how to rehang them. (They took a clip like at the end of a leash and attached it to new spots instead of just spending the money on a new one.).
Some kind hearted, amazing person asked me if I had an Amazon registry which I did not. I made one, expecting NOTHING from ANYONE….. EVER.
The same way I feel the life became the previous owners responsibility when they accepted ownership from the original owner. Someone in one of my groups once said that ignorance isn’t an excuse. They had been taking care of them for the original owner for around a year. They had nothing.
Just so everyone’s aware, I DO NOT IN ANY WAY, SHAPE OR FORM expect ANYTHING from ANYONE.. especially the expensive items. Please for the love of god, don’t ever think I’d expect anyone to buy such things for me.
A lot of the expensive items on there are just there for me. For example, the sewing machine is bc I’m teaching myself to sew bc I wanna make my own hammocks and maybe even start my own store of chinnie supplies some day!!
The cages are bc ideally I’d like to get all 5 (maybe 4 & leave my girls together bc they get along just fine) one day and deck them out for each of them in time. I want to get an extra bedroom for them in my next place lol!!
Just making sure y’all know, the list is for me as much as “y’all”. I’m sorry I’m cringing writing this.. I would never expect anyone to do anything like this for me. Like I said, some kind person asked so I figured I’d do it!!!
Their poops are starting to look more normal and long! They are all starting to come into their own & I even think Chong and Belle like each other(from afar of course!)☺️
I did put the girls in the top of my ferret nation seeing as they needed more room and that other cage just wasn’t fair to them where I have smaller people.

I don't know why but I can never seem to be able to post a video on Reddit, since I can't show it I'm using a picture and I'll try to explain: I noticed one of my 3 girls breathes faster than usual on occasion.
For example more than 20 mins ago I disturbed them to give them food and change their water, she didn't come out of their new nest (they made it yesterday out of nowhere), and after a while I decided to look under the platform where they made it to check on her, and she was almost buried in the bedding they put there. So I got worried because she was breathing fast and took her out the nest and placed her right in front of it in case she wanted to get back in. She just sat there for a couple of minutes breathing fast, I gently touched (pet) her to get her to react, but nothing. After a while she got on the wheel but didn't use it, just sat there breathing. Then she went to the other side of the cage and laid there breathing fast with her head hanging down (like in the pic). So I took her in my hands and pet her, trying to see what was wrong. Like I mentioned this isn't the first time she's done this but I can't figure out why, she makes absolutely no sound and doesn't move at all. She just sat in my hand and breathed fast. Now I don't know if she was breathing fast when I held her because I was handling her (she lets me hold her but for little time and always breathes like this when I do it) and she was nervous, or if something's truly wrong with her. Now while I'm writing this post she's still laying there like in the pic and breathing kinda faster than usual (not as fast as earlier though).
I'm gonna add that I never took them to the vet before because they've always seemed healthy and mice aren't common pets in my country, so it's rare to find a vet for them. I think I found one close enough, so I could probably try and take her there.

this is gonna sound so stupid but. i'd like to say i'm a relatively experienced rat owner but i've only ever had does and two neutered bucks. i also usually would get adult rats and singles/duos of baby rats.
recently i got four baby boys (not entirely sure on ages but the snake guy i got them from said two are weanlings. they're little!) and it's definitely a new experience. they're so funny. but i swear to God these four tiny demons produce more crap in a day than a cageful of adult females do in a week.
i've never had this many babies at once before, is it because they're babies and have fast metabolisms or something? or do bucks just poop more than does? it's easy enough to deal with now since it's just tiny baby poops but i hope i'm not doomed to ~3 years of cleaning mega monster rat-man turds.
they eat oxbow mouse/young rat pellets, by the way. attached is a picture of the littlest of the four Butter. on a positive note, when they pee they've (mostly) litter trained themselves in just one day! and they do poop in the litter box, but also everywhere else.

I am trying to figure out a viable solution for my wife to bike with me. She has drop foot as a result of a ischemic stroke she had when she was younger. It results in her having a pretty tough time lifting the front part of her foot when she walks and when she rides her adult tricycle. The top picture was what I saw during our last bike ride. Her foot is hyper extended and pointed almost directly perpendicular to the pavement. Her foot should be much more parallel to the pavement. I already tried replacing her pedals with cage pedals on the top picture which have helped her tremendously with keeping her foot from falling off the pedal.
In the second picture, I did some engineering with a TV mount spacer, a few nuts and some lock washers to extend the toe cage by about 1.5 inches (4 cm). My idea was to make it so the pedal was underneath her foot about 1.5 inches closer to her heel. I thought this would help her lift the front of her foot up when pedaling. Unfortunately, I was completely wrong and my engineering seemed to have the opposite effect I was looking for.
I am confident there is some sort of solution for this situation and I just haven't found it yet. Does anyone have any advice? Thank you?

I just got my bunny neutered today, and so this is probably way too early to tell, but im a massive worrier and the idea that my bunny doesnt like me anymore makes me so sad… he used to love being stroked and would always come up to me but it seems like now he tries to stay away… is it just because he is healing after his operation? i feel so guilty, he was so happy only this morning and now he seems so sad (which ik will be in part to do with the pain he must be feeling) also, another question, the last slide has a picture of his enclosure.. should i keep him in his cage overnight while he is healing? i never normally do this so i feel guilt doing it, but everywhere says to make him limit how much he is doing to make sure his wounds heal properly …

Hi, this is Pyrite, I just got her(?) Thursday, she is 11 months old. She wasnt hand raised, and she was not very vocal. She has made such good progress in 5 days and I am so proud of her. She has allowed me to give her pets, has climbed onto my shirt, and even got on my finger. This is coming from a bird that didn't have very much interaction before I got her and was terrified of my hand and people in general the first couple of days. This has been with time each day and she only stays for a couple of seconds. I plan on buying more toys and perches for her, and she already has extra in her cage not shown in the pictures. I'm trying to learn what she is interested in, currently just spinning her bell toy and the seagrass. She is my first bird so any advice or insight is greatly appreciated.

As a lover of all animals including non-human primates, I feel that it is my duty to continue to bring awareness to the devastating consequences of private monkey ownership. In particular, I have been focusing on one individual who has made his financial profit off of what I feel is his continued exploitation of his capuchin monkeys.
Despite this owner's persistent belief that I have some "hidden agendas" against him in particular, the reason why I have fixated on him is simple (and I have made that clear repeatedly in the past). Out of all the primate pet vloggers on YouTube and social media, this owner's capuchin monkeys especially Monkey Boo appear to exhibit the most troubling displays of behavior and appearance. I have not witnessed any other capuchin monkey vloggers whose monkeys exhibited these same abnormal behavioral patterns. In fact, I have previously stated that I used to be a huge fan of this owner's YouTube channel, and donated money and gifts to his monkeys years ago in support. Thus, my only 'agenda' is my genuine concern for a capuchin monkey I had grown to become very fond of, and my desire to get Monkey Boo the help he truly needs despite his owner continuing to cover up his true condition.
His YouTube channel has the most subscribers out of all capuchin monkey vloggers, and he and his capuchin monkeys have been the focus of several somewhat flattering articles on media outlets such as Vice. And despite this owner's awareness of this subreddit and my posts, he stubbornly continues to gaslight, lie, and deny that any of his monkeys, especially his most popular monkey, Boo, are sick in any way shape or form. He is quick to antagonize and block anyone on his social media channels that questions the appearance and behavior of Monkey Boo, despite many of these concerned viewers being long time dedicated fans of Boo and only having genuine concerns for Boo's well being.
And despite Monkey Boo first showing signs of mental/emotional distress and disorders back in 2022, this owner has continued to gaslight, lie, and cover up the true status of Boo. Instead of addressing viewer concerns, being transparent, and getting professional help for Boo, this owner has engaged in and continues to engage in covering up Boo's true condition. Going on two years now, this owner posts old video clips of Monkey Boo in happier and healthier days on a daily basis to his YouTube channel (to cover that he can no longer film Boo like before).
The following are some media evidence to back up myself and others claims that Monkey Boo is not in a good state of mind these days. The most disturbing visual cue about the unhealthy mental state of Monkey Boo was brought to my attention by fellow subreddit poster FAH-Q-All (a great and wonderful resource and individual with nothing but the most genuine of concerns for Monkey Boo). Alopecia, or hair loss, is a very noticeable symptom of mental/emotional stress, distress, and illness, typically trigged by stress. FAH-Q-All mentioned that the condition and appearance of a monkey's tail can be indicative of an unhealthy mental/emotional state. And sure enough, when I compared old photos of Monkey Boo to Boo in 2024, the patchy condition of his tail is clearly evident.

This patchy tail is highlighted towards end of this video clip (that also features head whipping and scratching):

And the patchy hair loss is not isolated to Monkey Boo's tail. Boo's hair loss is also quite noticeable on his scalp. Notice how exceedingly thin Boo's scalp looks in the top row pictures from 2024 (as well as his glazed/dead eyes look). By comparison, notice how full Boo's scalp was full and vibrant four years ago on bottom row pictures (I deliberately put both a dry and wet scalp pictures so that no one can claim that the thinning appearance in the above pictures was due to being wet):

Monkey Boo in happier days four years ago. On a side note, thanks to this subreddit this owner no longer feeds his capuchin monkeys bananas. Bananas, despite its popular stereotype as being an 'ideal' food for non-human primates, is actually terrible for them.

As a side comparison, this picture shows what two relatively healthy capuchin monkeys should look like. Note the vibrant, full hair growth and general calm appearance. The white capuchin monkey on the right was actually 30 years of age at that time (2014) and was rescued from a life of research at a major university. It is not a good look when a 30-year old capuchin monkey looks far healthier than a 14-year old capuchin monkey. Despite Monkey Boo's owner and his fan base trying to infer that Boo is 'slowing down,' a captive capuchin monkey that is slowing down at only 14 years of age is indicative of terrible living conditions.

In closing, I want to once again reiterate that the only 'agenda' I have with this and past posts in regards to this particular monkey and owner is because of my genuine concern for Monkey Boo's overall health. I have no affiliations with any other primate owner or vlogger, nor am I an official member of any animal rights groups. I used to be a huge fan of monkey vloggers like the owner of Monkey Boo. I was captivated by Boo's human like antics and felt it was all in adorable good fun.
However, once Monkey Boo started showing signs of mental/physical/emotional distress, and his owner stopped regular updates on Boo's YouTube channel, I started to become concerned. I found other individuals had also been raising concerns two years ago (and they continue to raise concerns to this day). I also noticed that Boo's owner denied anything was wrong with his monkey and bullied and blocked anyone from Boo's social media pages that raised genuine concerns for Boo's welfare. It was this inexplicable and detestable behavior by Monkey Boo's owner that completely changed my opinions of him, and spurred my own research into capuchin monkeys. I educated myself about these magnificent wild animals, the smartest of the New World Monkeys, and had my eyes opened to the devastation of wild monkeys being kept as private pets.
If Monkey Boo's owner had been transparent from the start and acknowledged his fan's concerns for Boo's welfare, and graciously accepted these concerns and advice and sought professional help for Boo, I would never have thought to contribute to this subreddit. There is absolutely no question in my mind that had Monkey Boo's owner done this, Boo's fan base would have completely understood and embraced both Boo and owner. Boo's fan base would have gladly donated money and resources to get Boo the help he needed, and would have offered unconditional support regardless of what happened.
Instead, Monkey Boo's owner decides to take the cowardly route, and to this day continues to engage in deceitful behavior to the detriment of Monkey Boo. This owner's other monkeys also appear to be in sub-par condition, particularly Monkey Meela who looks very obese. Again, no other capuchin monkey on YouTube/social media shows the extreme level of physical/mental/emotional abnormality as Monkey Boo does, thus my continued highlighting of this particular capuchin monkey and his owner.
Capuchin monkeys in the wild can walk on average up to two miles daily foraging, patroling, protecting, mating, etc. These pet capuchin monkeys by comparison are stuck in their cages for many hours a day and night, feed species-inappropriate foods and in excessive portions, and are denied the companionship of their collective troops necessary for their mental/physical/emtional well being. All for financial gain on YouTube and social media with no true regard of the well being of their animals.

Hey, I recently came into a pink toe tarantula Friday night and I wanna make sure Socks has the best home I can make them. I plan to get more upper decor and maybe get some cork bark on the back (right) wall. Ignore the poop shot on the door (left). When I got her this was her cage set up, and I wanna make sure the substrate the pet store placed in there is safe, it seems to be some sort of gravel/pellets, I tried to get a better picture in the second one. Any and all advice is welcome, she is my first tarantula. Thanks!

Happy Bee day everyone! Recently one of my hives had their queen die, and they have a few capped queen cells (any advice about that would be great). My other hive is doing great, full frames of brood and eggs all that. I was going to move a frame over, but something made keep looking and checking it. And thank god I did, because my eyes snapped to her like she was a skittle. I took some pictures, because this is the first time I saw my queen when she wasn't in a cage or a week or so after installation. Anyway, here is her royal beauty!

So I just got two new rat babies, one was supposed to be a feeder but my snake didn’t want her, it was an experiment bc she hasn’t eaten in like 7 months but that’s another story, so I decided to keep her, now she’s a pet, and I got her a friend bc she needed one, but I feel that they both dislike me, I just got them a huge new cage and everything, but all they do is hide, and seem scared of me. Is it just bc they aren’t used to me? Am I doing something wrong? Idk what to do, also less important I need names for them, they are both females, pictures above

In the most recent patch the new rune Jack of All Trades in the inspiration tree was released. It reads, for every unique stat (US), gain 1 ability haste, when you've 5 US you get 10 adaptive force (AF) and 10 US you get 25 AF [1]. Here's the item combination that I tried for jungle which is both gold efficient (6183 gold) and gets 10 US.

The items afterwards are entirety game dependen if you need more magic resistance then go for either abyssal mask or wit's end. If you need health shred against tanky enemies then go blade of ruined king. Otherwise Sundered sky/Sterak's cage/Zhonya's Hourglass (ZH) are always good or finishing frozen heart.
The same build can be used for top but there's another build one can use, where you switch trinity force for Nashor's tooth, Doran's blade for dark seal and ZH for frozen heart. But you ought to probably switch primary runes to something else and biscuit instead of boots.
