2024.05.20 19:48 CrossAerial ASRock Z790 Taichi Carrara sudden A0 error code

Hey guys! Here is my hardware:
CPU: 13900K
Cooler: Artic Freezer II 360 AIO
Mobo: Z790 Taichi Cararra (running the latest beta BIOS I think)
GPU: Gigabyte 4090
RAM: G.SKILL 64GB F5-6400J3239G32GX2-TZ5RS (is on QVL list)
PSU: Seasonic PRIME GX-1300
Drive: OS Win10 - 2TB Samsung 980 Pro
(I did have 3 other NVME drives connected should that matter)
So I am bit perplexed by this issue. This build is about 1 year old and overall, has been pretty good. While I transferred files from a SD Card to one of my NVME drives, I noticed that Windows was acting up. I checked my OS drive, which was getting close to full (about 180Gb left) so I went to clear out any old files with WinDirStat.
It completed its scan and I started to delete some old WinRar files in my downloads when I noticed the transfer had froze. I went to stop the transfer but it seemed that File Explorer was locking up. I went to continue with my deletion of old downloads but quickly noticed that I could not even delete them. I tried to open the path to the file from WinDirStat to File Explorer, but got a dialog box that stated:
"*something here I cant remember* was not working. Do you want to close" with Yes or No options.
I clicked Yes but the computer continued to not respond. This box popped up 2-3 more times on various icons I clicked. I could not access task manager, start menu, or anything. I tapped the power button on my case and waited, but nothing occurred so I was forced to hold it for a shut down.
Upon reboot, a screen popped up with only text that seemed to be in the font/style of the ASRock mobo rather than Windows. It mentioned pressing F2 or Del for BIOS, or some other key for I think the boot manager. Unfortunately it was not responding to any keystrokes.
I restarted again but got nothing on the screen/was unable to get to the BIOS while the board displayed error code A0.
From there, I tried various steps and also called ASRock support to no avail:
None of these worked and I always get stuck on A0. While it might be a stretch, I am hoping maybe one of yall might have solution.
Research shows that a few others have had this issue with this board, and other Z690/790 boards but not clear solutions.
For what it's worth, I did notice that my CPU did seem to heat up faster than other examples I saw online. My CB scores were decent, but I do not think my cooling was inadequate. Especially given that my case is an O11 Dynamic Evo with 7 Lian Li fans. Airflow/Cooling should have been great.

[OC] I sketched a mock redesign of the Falcons uniforms
Biggest changes in general are a more normal block number font and the stripes, which are talon "scratch marks."
Pages 1-4 showcases the home uniform.
Pages 5-8 showcases the away uniform.
Pages 9-12 showcases the alternate uniform. What's cool about this is that I utilized the team's silver color for this, mainly on the logo, which has a different color via a Reddit suggestion.
What are your thoughts on this?

2024.05.19 22:08 Full-Key3261 Home-made Prolauncher

Hi everyone,
I tried Prolauncher recently and really liked the minimal look of it, with the added productivity tools/shortcuts that I was missing with olauncher.
Unfortunately, I can't wrap my head around paying 10€/year or 30€ for the premium version, and the free version is basically unusable, with pop-up every minute if you touch something not included in that plan. Also, paying to be able to create folder or changing the apps on the homescreen...
So, I tried to create a similar version on Nova Launcher, which I've used for years, and ended with a satisfying results. I saw someone asking about Prolauncher here recently, so I thought I'd share.
(The screenshot is my homescreen, I couldn't add another one the let you compare with the original.)
Here is the setup
For the apps on the side I've set the icon size to the minimum, and I have a grid of 12x6 with small margins on my homescreen. The icon pack that I use is the "LineX White", but you can use any other one that you like.
For the apps in plain text I used a 4x1 KWGT widget. I created one with just text. The font is "Poppins" in regular, size 40, and position is center left. I've set them to launch the matching app on touch.
Clock I've made a square KWGT widget again. Same font. Text for the clock is "$df(hh:mm)$", size 145. Text for the date and battery is "$df(EEE, a1d)$ $df(dd)$ $df(MMMM)$ $bi(level)$%", size 40. You'll have to try to find the right position for those to be aligned. Also, I've set it so that touching the clock open the matching app, and the date opens my agenda.
After that, you can add a page on each side with the right widgets if you want the exact same functions than Prolauncher.
Good things - you can tweak everything to get the right setup for you (add widget, change to any font, add or remove any app or shortcuts to the homescreen, change the colors of everything etc...) - you keep the gesture shortcuts and other cool things that Nova has - Nova isn't in anticipated access, and therefore should have less bugs - it's cheaper : I used KWGT for free, and I paid Nova years ago for 4 or 5€. Maybe it is possible to get this result with the free version (if someone wants to confirm). Also, I think that the icon pack is free, but I have it for a while and don't remember.
Not so good - you're not paying the dev for their work (even though you're not really using theirs) - definitely more work to setup, and switching the apps in plain text demands that you change the settings of the widget. Upside is that you won't want to change it every 5 min - the app drawer and Nova in general isn't as minimal as Pro Launcher - if Prolauncher gets great updates later, you won't have those, or you'll have to make them yourself if you want them.
Overall, I'm happy with the result. Hope I could help some of you looking for a simple yet useful setup, saving you some money in the process.
Have a good one

Boat transom lettering, looking for advice from pros
Hi, I've restored a wooden boat that I'm awfully fond of. The boat was stripped just about to bare wood and repainted with Kirby Paints (enamel). Before I launch this season I want to paint the boat name on the transom.
Anyone have the patience to review my plans and offer any advice? I'm using a simple Garamond font, and just simple letters using one color. Nothing fancy. The boat is out of the water and in my boat shed on a trailer.
  1. I'll give the transom a light sanding and a fresh coat of paint, the white hull color. This is with Kirby Paints.
  2. I don't trust my drawing/layout skills for lettering so I designed and ordered viny stick on lettering which includes the spacing and alignment.
  3. Stick on the vinyl lettering, trace around the edges with a pencil? Then peel off.
  4. Paint between the lines with Kirby paint. I've done a bit of painting with small brushes, but not lettering. I've ordered a set of quill/lettering brushes.
What could go wrong? :) A few questions I have:
  • I feel like I should sand between the lines to add tooth so the letter paint adheres. This will be a pain? perhaps if the new surface paint is still relatively fresh I can get away without sanding. How does paints like One Shot stick to glossy surfaces?
  • What to trace the letters with? Hard lead pencil? Fine tip marker in a similar color? One of those cool wheel things with the little spikes?
  • Is Kirby Paint appropriate? I'm looking to have the color match exactly to other items on the boat.

2024.05.19 02:07 Patient_Replacement How do we feel about customization?

Just a general question.
Personally it feels a bit lacking in terms fo the freedom given to mess around with designs and what-not.
The lack of real life sponsor logos also hurts a bit, the fictional companies and sponsors don't quite cut it for me personally.
It would also be really cool for there to be a hub to show-case designs and liveries.
I'd really like ot have the ability to play around with shapes, letters, fonts etc, to really make the design yours.
What do you all feel about this?

2024.05.18 21:03 TemperatureBest8164 Precision Blaster: Genie Warlock / Alchemist Artificer

I struggle with the Alchemist artificer as I do not find its abilities that great and while the elixir's are cool they do not scale with level or spell slot level and I feel that wizards missed the mark on that part. The best Elixir to me is the boldness elixer which is bless in a bottle for 1 person. While it is good, how to you get value out of it if you are not using a SS or GWM build or handing it off to one... My concept is a character that almost never misses. When fully built out we cast bless with our action, and order our humnculous to feed us a potion with our bonus action. (They can administer a potion as an action(humunculous's) to an unconscious person I can not see why they can not for a conscious person.) The plus 5 from bless/boldness and the enhanced arcane focus means we will shot with a 90-95% chance to hit depending on the level. After the first round our humculous can blast with increased chance to hit due to bless and the enhanced arcane focus. With con proficiency, a +1 modifier and +5 due to bless/boldness we are never failing a dc 10 save and with eldrich mind we should regularly be rolling at level 5 24 so we should almost never drop concentration from hits if we don't get knocked out by the hit.
At later levels the build goes into draconic sorcerer brass so that you can add charisma fire damage to your Eldritch blasts which are augmented with fire by efreeti Genie. Rounds where the BA is not filled out can be used on Humunculous attacks. Naturally the DPR is higher concentrating on Hex rather than bless but I what I felt was unique was stacking so many buffs to the attack.
I have calculated the numbers assuming 2 short rests and an adventuring day of 6-8 encounters.

2024.05.18 14:52 EggplantRough6633 Ranking All Classes I've taken Too!((MonkeyPOV))

Well, praying that I didn't fail my last two classes💀 I’m finally done with my degree. So why not share my unfiltered opinion/experience that I’m sure Faculty has been eagerly waiting for? Ranking wrt:
Course Content / Instructor / Organization / Exam/Pset Difficulty. Copying most recent post's format. Major congrats and shoutout to all graduating this semester and beyond, it's been more than real.
A lil motivation: don't give up, don't ever give up...
live look at brain having bruh moment during exam (is this a record?)
S-TIER:
  1. CS 1110 - Intro CS Python: Will always be goated course for me. After switching majors, was very intimidated by CS. Prof Lee/Bracy & staff were godsent, course was very enjoyable and beginner friendly (duh) while remaining very fulfilling and challenging. Projects/Labs were very helpful and plenty of resources for help, enjoyed studying for exams and material thoroughly. Thank god I did not stick w Matlab (unbiassed opinion why do you ask)
  2. ORIE 3500 - Prob & Stats II: An out of whack sequenced class took during summer but love how Goldberg teaches. Not sure if still applicable but grading was very friendly and not a lot of tedious course work but learned a lot and enjoyed class. Exams were challenging but fun and grade cutoff made learning pressure-free. Shoutout D Goldberg one of my favorite professors
  3. ORIE 4580 - Simulation Modeling: Took this course w/o prereqs so was unprepared but Henderson is amazing person & Professor and will help you out. Really enjoyed Simio and project/assignments were fun, interactive, interesting. Shoutout Henderson: great guy award helped me through rough spot super approachable/easy to talk to. Decent amount of work and I didn't understand half of it but tools and info still relevant
A-TIER:
B-TIEUSEFUL:
MIDDLE-UPPER-LOWER-TIEGEED:
EASY/CREDIT:
BUNS:
  1. MATH 1910 - Calc I: Did shitty after prelim 1, not bad course but possibly recommend taking CASE exam if you already know material, kind of waste
  2. ENGRD 2110 - Obj-Oriented Prog: Took in summer, was hopeful after enjoying CS1110 but class and content not as fun. Liked VanHattum, call me?
  3. PHYS 2213 - EM: Imma be 100p here and not even pretend I deserve credit hours for this course but was available online (ilovecovid) so that was no brainer. Least favorite stem class. Dont cae
  4. PSYCH 2350: Don't remember taking this. typical canvas credit course
FEVER DREAM / C&B TORTURE:
  1. ORIE 3510 - Stoch Proc I: Second class I failed 😎 Somehow made less sense 2nd time. Cursed course its hard to recognize when you are fully wrong/using wrong intuition but you might not realize this until you get a 31 on the Final. Must attend in person. Thought it would cake retaking but had Scully who is great guy/genius but taught it almost entirely different format than previous year. Info seemed to go in one ear (wp= u/λ) and out the other, not a fan of his notes/material organization. Scully is huge improvement from Dai nonetheless.
  2. MATH 2930 (First time😉)- DiffEq: My first failure!🤓 (took it when it was hard i swear) Even though 1st time through was rough, enjoyed solving equations and remains my central to major, def most involved of required math courses. Restructured version was an actual joke compared to previous year, legit had the option to retry & submit everything you turned in until you essentially got it right via brute-force submitting every possible answer.
  3. FWS: (Challenges of Modernity): Sigh
  4. ENGRI 1160 - Modern Structures: cool project but prof was hard to understand and psets were way too hard for sem1 intro eng course. TA could barely help, made me switch out of civil
  5. FWS(Anthrop Persp. of Tech Worlds)?: Now they invent ChatGPT, sick
O-H
  1. BIOG 1250 - Biology Seminar (The Rise and Fall of Viruses): Went to class for 3 weeks and learned ab Kentucky bluegrass and rocks, realized class wouldn't count towards major so dropped but figured I'd throw it in here.

2024.05.18 04:33 Sparky_McDibben 3rd Party Micro Review - Investor's Guide

Hey y'all,
I like to do reviews - I don't know why; maybe I'm just a born critic. But I think that really I enjoy the feeling of finding something really cool and sharing it. Recently, a handful of really nice homebrew supplements have come to my attention, and I wanted to start sharing them with y'all.
Tonight, we're going over the first one: u/CosmicJackalop's Investor's Guide.
What I'm Reviewing:
https://www.reddit.com/cyberpunkred/comments/1ctacav/after_too_much_waiting_the_2nd_chapter_of_the/
The Investor's Guide is presented as a prospectus from the Bangor* Association of Investment Traders (BAIT), working through four up-and-coming corporations. Each corporation has a backstory, key personalities, and some of their products detailed. Only two corporations have been finished as of the time of this writing, and the document clocks in at 16 pages.
Why I'm Reviewing It:
That's a bit more of an existential question, I think, but there's really two reasons:
  1. Because it does some interesting things, and it does them stylishly
  2. Because that's what communities do - sure, we bicker, argue, and downvote, but we also lift people up when they do something awesome
A third, sort-of-bonus reason is that I want more folks to be aware of where the bar is being set for Cyberpunk RED homebrew. The homebrew I've been seeing blows some of the paid products on DriveThru out of the water, and I want to elevate that.
Now, a quick note on this review. This product is half done, but that first half is promising, and that deserves a look. I'm not going to be docking points for grammar or spelling. That amnesty is extended because a) this is someone's homebrew, offered for free, b) because you can never tell when someone's ESL and c) because I don't find proofreading to be an interesting exercise.
The Good:
Layout and writing are solid throughout the book. This carries through down to the little details (like how the page numbers are written in a similar font to US currency). The backstories for the corporations have an interesting switch in voice from the first to the second, since the second corporation has a first-hand account of the company's startup. That's hard to do, and it was interesting to read.
As to the gear, it swings for the fences. There's an assault rifle that crits on 5's and 6's on the dice. Now, it only has four shots before you have to reload, it's $5K, and it requires a bipod or BODY 11 to use, but that alone bumps the respectable crit chance of an AR from ~20% to ~51%. Hot damn.
There's also a great little anti-grenade system that uses clay discs to neutralize thrown grenades. And pigeons. And small children. Look, the point is, are your players enamored of grenades? Well give your bad guys this and watch the PCs have to figure out exactly how many discs are left before they use their precious grenade ammo! It's going in my next bad guy's toolkit.
There's also a cyber eye you can take out and leave somewhere, an option to let two Cyberdecks get paired together, and a ballistic coprocessor that gives smart ammo a +12 to hit instead of the usual +10.
Look, I'm not a great judge of game balance (I gave my current players in my 5E game double feats), because game balance isn't the most important thing I look for. But in terms of the Christmas morning factor, that sense of "I cannot wait to play with this!" I think this book passes with flying colors.
The Bad:
There are a couple of points I think could use some improvement from a table-focused perspective. These are primarily from a GM's point of view, so take them with a grain of salt.
The book's focus on founder-mythology in the corporation's backstories means that "how does this corp affect your players" is very nebulous. I would have preferred something like a screamsheet in the back, maybe one per corp, that puts that corporation in the crosshairs of a group of PCs. Maybe not as villains, but as victims of intercorp espionage, etc. I want the Gopnikov Concern to matter to my PCs. I think we can do more to bring that out.
There was very little focus on plots or plans by the corps. This may have been a product of the framing device, or there may be more to be revealed later in the book, but I'd like to know what key people in these corps want. What are there goals and motivations?
Recommendation:
Get it now, and keep an eye out for more down the road. Even if you use nothing from it, the ideas inside give you a solid jumping-off point for your own homebrew. Well done!

2024.05.17 18:45 SaintMichael741 Eat the Reich Early Thoughts-- A Bloody Good One-Shot?

Hey everyone! This is my first post to the RPG subreddit. I'm played and GMed around 12 game systems at this point, with the goal of hitting 30 by the end of next year. I love rules-lite systems, Pathfinder 2e, Call of Cthulhu, and more. I run for my friends and for teens at my local libraries, both of which require different skills not just with GMing but with handling the groups in general.
Basic concept: You play six vampire commandos tasked to rampaging the German streets to get to Hitler and kill him. There is no investigation or downtime, only fight scenes. You can learn more about this product here: https://rowanrookanddecard.com/product-category/game-systems/eat-the-reich/
I backed Eat the Reich because I loved the theme and the company. While I have other books from the same company, this is the first one I finally had a chance to run. And the results so far are...something. Disclaimer: I'm only about halfway through with about two sessions to go (I'm spreading it out a little).
THE GOOD
With no investigations, it's fun having a gory rated-M rampage with players that can get into it. The tone of the game is set really well in the book, and its a very unique experience compared to others I've played.
I really like the Havoc engine. Very quickly, you roll a number of d6 on your turn based off a stat, equipment, abilities, etc. You only count the 4, 5, and 6, with the 6 being a crit. You can use these successes to go toward the main goal, side goals, gaining blood (to power abilities), and blocking/dealing damage. I think it's a very light system that allows for quick turns. There's a lot of potential for this system.
Equipment is great. The idea that the final use of a equipment gives you an extra dice is great because it incentives using your stuff rather than hoarding it. I wish more RPGs demanded its players to use every trinket on them rather than stuff it in a bag of holding and forget about it.
The pre-gen characters are really cool and thematic. The vampires look really interesting without feeling derivative, and their abilities are diverse. Powers include scavenging for ammo, flying around, using dark magic, and dark glamours.
Boss fights are handled really well. I don't want to spoil them but I think they do their job well. My players are just about to hit one of these fights and I feel like it'll run fine.
THE BAD
My major problem is how this book is organized. This is not a toolbox core rulebook like others I've read. It's trying to tell one specific story with some light hack suggestions at the end. Because of this, I don't really have another use for this book after I've run it once. Sure, it's marketed as a one-shot to begin with, but it feels like such a waste rather than building up this crack team of vampire commandos doing all sorts of adventures rather than just killing Hitler.
Slightly compounding the above problem, the style of this book also works against it. While I love all the dark reds and greens that make this look like a splatter house dream, it makes reading some of these fonts really tough.
When running the game itself, it feels like the game is just too rigid for my tastes. It's tough for players to want to do anything outside of their strongest traits. As the GM, I can only do so much to the players that isn't already prepared in the book. To be clear, I'm a big fan of PbtA because while they're narrative heavy like this book, that system gives both sides chances to flourish and do cool things.
I'm also having problems with combat. The problem is rushing the main objective seems more powerful than attacking my enemies. If they attack my enemies, I roll less dice, but it's better to just block my attacks and try to rush the objective and run to the next set piece. I do like the idea of these vampires holding back the Nazi horde and rushing down Hitler, but it's hard to incentive any direct conflict.
EARLY VERDICT
This was a challenge. I went into this book with a lot of reservations. Luckily, my players are super creative and having fun with the narrative prompts, but all of us are very candid with the mechanical issues. It's tough in a narrative heavy game where you can feel the gears creaking from strain. I'm glad they're willing to try this out with me and I am having fun, but I think it's more the strength of the table rather than the game.
So far, I'm not the biggest fan overall, but if given the chance I'd say anyone should give it a read for some good inspiration.
I would love to hear some early thoughts about this game. Also, this is my first full length post on here, so if I need to clarify anything please let me know. I'm also down to write more of these for some good discussions if anyone is interested. Thank you for reading!

2024.05.17 09:52 happymod-ios iOS 16.7.8 Jailbreak

iOS 16.7.8 Jailbreak
The iOS 16.7.8 jailbreak opens up a world of possibilities for your iPhone or iPad. By breaking free from Apple's restrictions, you can customize your device, install apps from third-party sources, and access otherwise unavailable features. This article explores jailbreaking, the benefits and risks involved, and how you can jailbreak your iOS 16.7.8 device.

What is Jailbreaking?

Jailbreaking is removing software restrictions imposed by Apple on iOS devices. This allows users to gain root access to the operating system, enabling software installation and tweaks not authorized by Apple. Jailbreaking is similar to rooting on Android devices.

Why Jailbreak Your iOS 16.7.8 Device?

  1. Customization: Jailbreaking allows you to customize the look and feel of your device. You can change icons, themes, and fonts to match your style.
  2. Third-Party Apps: Access apps that are not available on the App Store. Many of these apps offer unique features and functionalities that can enhance your user experience.
  3. Tweaks and Enhancements: Install tweaks that can improve system performance, add new features, or enhance existing ones. For example, you can add new gestures, improve battery life, or unlock hidden settings.
  4. File Management: Gain access to the file system, allowing you to manage files more effectively. This can be particularly useful for advanced users who need more control over their devices.
  5. Bypass Restrictions: Remove limitations imposed by Apple, such as restrictions on certain apps or features. This can include bypassing carrier restrictions or enabling features like tethering.

Risks of Jailbreaking

While jailbreaking offers many benefits, it also comes with risks:
  1. Security Risks: Jailbreaking removes some of the built-in security features of iOS, making your device more vulnerable to malware and unauthorized access.
  2. Stability Issues: Jailbroken devices may experience more frequent crashes or instability, especially if you install incompatible tweaks or apps.
  3. Warranty Void: Jailbreaking voids your device's warranty. Apple may refuse to service your device if you encounter hardware or software issues.
  4. Updates: Updating a jailbroken device can be tricky. Apple frequently patches jailbreak exploits in new iOS updates, so you may have to wait for a new jailbreak to become available after updating.

Preparing for Jailbreaking

Before you start the jailbreaking process, there are a few things you should do to prepare:
  1. Backup Your Device: Use iCloud or iTunes to back up your data. This ensures you can restore your device if something goes wrong during jailbreaking.
  2. Update iTunes: Ensure you have the latest version of iTunes installed on your computer.
  3. Charge Your Device: Ensure your device is fully charged or connected to a power source to prevent it from dying during jailbreaking.

How to Jailbreak iOS 16.7.8

Follow these steps to jailbreak your iOS 16.7.8 device:
  1. Visit InstantJB: Go to https://www.instantjb.com/cydia-ios-16-1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-jailbreak.html to download the necessary jailbreaking tool.
  2. Download the Tool: Download the jailbreaking tool provided on the website. Make sure to follow any additional instructions provided on the site.
  3. Connect Your Device: Connect your iOS device to your computer using a USB cable.

2024.05.17 07:02 EzekieruYT Spoilers from BadLuckGamer's Interview with Luis Loza (05/16/2024)

Hey everyone, EzeDoesIt back at it again with a surprise spoiler breakdown of everything Creative Director of the Rules and Lore Team, Luis Loza ( u/Paizo_Luis ), talked about during his interview today from BadLuckGamer! This was a last minute notification for me, so I made sure to spend the time today detailing every spoiler Luis talked about. He held back a few times, due to how close PaizoCon was (coming up next weekend!). But he did spill some beans, so I'll be relaying what was said.
Please check out the VOD for the full interview, and all the interesting discussions I did not cover HERE!
Beware ye, for there do be spoilers:
Gorum was chosen as the god to die, since his death would result in a lot of interesting changes and developments in the setting. It was not due to Gorum being boring, but rather the possibilities of the stories his death would create made it so he was the one that needed to die.
At one point, the god that was slated to die was actually Torag, not Gorum! Luis cited the ending hidden message in Lost Omens: Highhelm as a hint for Torag's possible death, and also set up the Dwarven Pantheon without Torag as either another hint of his death, or as a possible explanation if he did go on living ("You need to learn to live without me"). There ARE changes to the dwarven pantheon in the coming months, though!
Nethys was never on the chopping block. Luis doesn't want to "pop that balloon", and feels that the mechanics around magic would've needed to be changed in response to him dying. So he's been safe since the beginning. Again, the update to the Archives of Nethys lining up to Nethys being marked safe was a coincidence, but a fun one at that!
Luis was asked if there was anything in Pathfinder that he worked on that he was particularly proud of? And Luis answered, saying he's the most proud of developing the Automaton ancestry, and was really proud of being able to secretly doubling the ancestry's feat count by having the Enhancements in the level 1-9 feats.
Luis' crown jewel book he's worked on is Lost Omens: Divine Mysteries! AND Divine Mysteries was actually conceived BEFORE the OGL fiasco! They always wanted to do a sequel to Lost Omens: Gods & Magic, and came up with Yvali to delve into what makes a god and what makes them tick. Having a good framing device/narrative makes writing books more exciting for writers, and that excitement can definitely be felt by those who read the books!
Different pantheons are gonna be talked about in depth. The Orc pantheon and the Crucible will be covered. The Goblin pantheon, due to the interesting bits with the Barghest Goblin gods will be covered (Eze Note: this was mentioned before the OGL stuff came up in conversation, so not sure if Barghest Goblin gods will still be around or if the Goblin gods will still be Barghests, given new Barghests in Monster Core). The Azlanti pantheon is being explored as well, talking about how previously prominent gods fell into obscurity.
Luis made sure to grab every god stat block he could find and update them for the Remaster. All of the domains across all the books and AP backmatter have been collected and updated as well. Luis wanted to make sure every god was covered, so players wouldn't be left out in the cold due to switching to the Remaster version of the rules.
Luis talked about his job as a Creative Director of the Rules and Lore team, and cited an example where he had to make the call on whether Centaurs should have pointed ears or rounded ears. After consulting previous artwork and seeing it was split in the middle, Luis decided that Centaurs will have rounded ears. That way, it's one less detail artists will have to worry about.
The freelancers working on Divine Mysteries didn't know about Gorum's death! Gorum was put in the outline, and Luis assigned Gorum to himself to help keep the scent off the trail. Only the freelancer working on Arazni's section knew about Gorum's death ahead of the announcement, due to Arazni's promotion to the Core 20.
Luis was asked why archetypes aren't playtested like classes are, and Luis answered that the designers know how to make archetypes due to their knowledge of how classes work, and generally archetypes don't have brand new tech in them that warrants playtesting like that of class playtests (Commanders' Tactics and Exemplars' Ikons being stated as a new tech that needed testing). Also, classes are the thing players are most likely to interact with. Most of the time, you're not getting an archetype at Level 1 (obvious exceptions not-withstanding). But classes are, and so classes need to be put through the paces the most.
Another reason too is, if every archetype needed to be playtested, they would either not be able to put out as many books as they are currently, or they'd have to release far fewer archetypes due to how long the playtest process works. If they needed to playest the archetypes in the APG, they'd only have 5 or 6 archetypes at most, instead of the 40 archetypes we did get.
"Which lore books are you doing for the foreseeable future?" Can't talk about that since they aren't announced, but regional books are a safe bet! Aside from that, just know that the people assigned to future books are assigned to them because they are excited to be leading/writing them, and that should hopefully come through in reading the books in the future.
The word "Bloodrager" is gonna be spoken at PaizoCon. Such a tease!
The Battle Harbinger in Lost Omens: Divine Mysteries is gonna have their spellcasting diminished a bit and have their Divine Font change significantly in order for them to gain new, interesting combat abilities to allow them into the frontlines (or engaging more directly) more so than Warpriests already do. Doing so as a class archetype, they aren't restricted by the small wiggle room of the Cleric's doctrines. Luis dropped the fact they will have "Battle Auras", and left it at that!
Luis answered several of my submitted questions! The first one is in regards to info about Apsu and Dahak. Apsu and Dahak are getting entries in Divine Mysteries, and they are still around. Their story is getting changed and retcon'd, due to the OGL situation. But it's also being expanded! Dahak is gonna have other siblings, so the idea of more Dragon gods are being teased out in Divine Mysteries.
An interesting detail that's not getting talked in full quite yet is about Apsu and Dahak's granted spells for Clerics. Typically, unless they're a god like Nethys or Abraxas who are all about being tied into magic, most gods only grant 3 spells to Clerics. But Dahak and Apsu are "setting a particular and unique standard that's tied to them specifically" in that both will have 4 granted spells each. It'll make sense when you see it, but they'll have that extra 4th spell that they share that is setting up this common theme.
Luis mentions, as a comparison, themes that come up with the gods that people might not be aware of that have come up in development for them. The example he gives is Mzali and the three sun gods. He decided, in development, that they each grant the Zeal domain due to how all three of them have such enthusiasm and drive to them. So they not only share their connection to the sun, but they also all have the Zeal domain. So Apsu/Dahak will be further connected by the spells they grant, as an additional way to associate them with each other.
Next, Luis talked about when content outside of the Core 4 books will see about being Remastered. When it makes sense to bring something forward, they will (like how they're Remastering all of the domains in Divine Mysteries). But he feels like they've done a good job overall with keeping the game compatible with the previous content, sanctification and wizard schools being the most egregious changes. They're gonna address the most glaring things that need adjustment, but he asks to not expect them to go back and adjust every single thing to the Remaster. As the large amount of time it'd take to Remaster 4-5 years of content, it would mean next-to-no time left to create new material.
As an example for the above with bringing forward old content into the Remaster, there'll be updated Witch patrons in Lost Omens: Divine Mysteries, and Baba Yaga's entry the one that was specifically called out! (Eze Note: that'd just leave Mosquito Witch and Pact Patrons left to update to the Remaster, so I wonder if one or both of them will be coming forward as well?)
Luis does encourage this: If there's something that needs to be updated and you want it to be done, he recommends letting them know so they can assess that and find the time and space to get those issues looked at and addressed. Also, it might take time for those opportunities to publish these things to happen! Some might even be happening right now, but until it's announced or published, people just need to be patient and wait for the books to come out.
Someone asked about the Ysoki Tailblade being in the game? Luis doesn't know! He does know there's ancestry weapons in PC2, and of course Ratfolk are in PC2 as well, but he honestly does not know if it's in there. The same person asked about new ancestry weapons in general later. Luis couldn't say for sure there was new ones, and didn't want to get people's hopes up by making a mistake remembering which ones are new or not.
"Who does Arazni have a weird bond with?" In Arazni's entry in Lost Omens: Divine Mysteries, it's confirmed she will have a Herald! Luis wouldn't say who they are. She will have a shared history of trauma with them, and it's said Arazni will be learning to trust others a little bit to explain why she now has a herald (in addition to her needing a herald now that she's a Core 20 god!).
Another of my questions is answered! I asked if Luis was excited that Wrestler is in Player Core 2, and he of course said yes! He's not sure if it's been expanded at all (he joked Mike Sayre might declare it's perfect the way it is, lmao), but he's glad it's in the Core book now for more people to look at.
Luis' favorite player options in Tian Xia Character Guide is some of the new Magus stuff coming, but he doesn't elaborate further as he feels that TXCG is more so James Case and Eleanor Ferron's baby, and they should be the ones to talk about all that's in that book. He's also excited with some of the new ancestry stuff, especially the Yaoguai!
"Has there been anything as a Creative Director that you wanted to change or add, but you weren't able to?" Luis, and maybe other people might have this feeling as well, feels that maybe the timeline for Golarion didn't need to go back 10,000 years. A ton of stuff has changed just within the past 2024 years, so to conceive 10,000 years of history without as much change stretching the suspension of disbelief quite a bit. Obviously there's fantasy tropes of long histories, but sometimes it complicates some matters.
Final question I asked got answered, which was if Luis has helped out the Starfinder team with stuff in regards to the lore, especially considering SF2E is gonna be 100% compatible with PF2E. I also mentioned knowing they both have separate continuities, but wondered if there was still some collaboration there. Luis said yeah, he does. He, James Jacobs and Thurston Hillman (hi Thursty!), the three Creative Directors, get into weekly meetings with each other to discuss what each side in the Pathfinder rules, Pathfinder adventures, and Starfinder teams are all doing. The two games try not to do the same kinds of stories at the same time, like not wanting them to tell a Runelords story that's exactly like Return of the Runelords. Likewise, Starfinder probably won't be killing any of their gods right after War of Immortals comes out.
Although they try to keep the timelines separate, everyone still keeps in touch in order to make sure they aren't breaking each others' toys and keep at least some kind of connection between the two games. And there's an interest in crossover potential, too! So maybe there's a desire for things to line up, regardless. And we'll likely see some of these developments in the coming years!
And the final question is about whether frog-centric content is coming to PF2E! Luis mentions the Tripkee (new name of the Grippli) being in Player Core 2, and since they'll have a bit more space in PC2 compared to before, they'll be expanded a little bit.
Finally, Luis leaves us with this. He's teased enough about Divine Mysteries in today's stream, but he's sure to tease a little bit more during the Keynote at PaizoCon this coming weekend, and if you end up liking that tease, then you should show up during the Godsrain panel that same day so he can talk some more about what is in Divine Mysteries and show off some of the cool art in that book.
And that's all the spoilers said during the interview! Next post will be all of the spoilers I'll collect in the Discord Events server during PaizoCon! If you got questions you wanna ask, feel free to let me know (preferably via DMs here). I'll try to ask as many as I can during the entire weekend. Until next time!

Identifying your target audience

One of the crucial steps in creating a logo for your coffee shop website is identifying your target audience. Understanding who your customers are and what they are looking for is essential in designing a logo that resonates with them. By knowing your target audience, you can tailor your logo to appeal to their preferences, whether they are coffee enthusiasts, professionals looking for a quiet workspace, or students seeking a cozy hangout spot. This knowledge will help you create a logo that not only represents your coffee shop but also attracts the right customers to your website.

Researching competitor logos

When researching competitor logos, it is important to start by understanding the market and identifying the key players. By analyzing the logos of other coffee shops and cafes, you can gain insights into the design trends and styles that are popular in the industry. This research can help you determine how to differentiate your logo and create a unique identity for your coffee shop. Additionally, studying competitor logos can also inspire ideas and spark creativity in the logo design process. By examining what works well for others, you can learn from their successes and avoid common pitfalls. Overall, researching competitor logos is a crucial step in creating a logo that effectively represents your coffee shop and appeals to your target audience.

So, when exploring different logo design styles for your coffee shop website, don't forget to consider the integration of the Square payment system.

Matching the logo style with your coffee shop's brand identity

When it comes to matching the logo style with your coffee shop's brand identity, it is important to consider the unique characteristics and values of your business. A logo serves as a visual representation of your coffee shop and should reflect the overall vibe and atmosphere you want to convey. One key aspect to consider is the color palette. The colors used in your logo should align with the colors used in your coffee shop's interior design and branding materials. Additionally, the typography and imagery used in the logo should also be consistent with the overall aesthetic of your coffee shop. By ensuring that the logo style matches your coffee shop's brand identity, you can create a cohesive and memorable visual identity for your business.

Considering current design trends

When it comes to creating a logo for your coffee shop website, it is important to consider current design trends. Design trends are constantly evolving, and keeping up with them can help your logo appear modern and relevant. By staying informed about the latest design styles, colors, and typography, you can ensure that your logo reflects the current aesthetic preferences of your target audience. This will not only make your coffee shop website visually appealing but also help establish a strong brand identity. Whether it's minimalist designs, vintage-inspired logos, or bold and vibrant graphics, understanding and incorporating current design trends can make a significant impact on the overall success of your coffee shop website.

Creating a Memorable Logo

Using symbolism and imagery

Using symbolism and imagery is a crucial aspect of creating a logo for your coffee shop website. By incorporating meaningful symbols and visually appealing imagery, you can effectively communicate the essence of your brand to your target audience. Symbols like coffee beans, mugs, or steam can evoke a sense of warmth, comfort, and the indulgence of a good cup of coffee. Imagery that represents the coffee-making process, such as coffee beans being roasted or a barista expertly crafting a latte, can convey the craftsmanship and dedication that goes into your coffee shop's products. These elements not only make your logo visually appealing but also help to create a strong emotional connection with your customers. By using symbolism and imagery in your logo, you can enhance your coffee shop's brand identity and increase your chances of e-commerce success.

Selecting appropriate colors and fonts

Selecting appropriate colors and fonts is an essential step in creating a logo for your coffee shop website. The colors and fonts you choose will play a significant role in conveying the personality and style of your brand. When selecting colors, consider the emotions and associations they evoke. Warm colors like red and orange can create a sense of energy and excitement, while cool colors like blue and green can evoke a feeling of calmness and relaxation. Fonts also contribute to the overall look and feel of your logo. Choose a font that reflects the tone of your coffee shop, whether it's modern and sleek or rustic and cozy. By carefully selecting colors and fonts, you can create a logo that captures the essence of your coffee shop and attracts customers to your website.
