2024.05.21 14:29 KWD_ This has been bugging me since i got the ecg result, the part where it say inferior wall ischemia what does it mean?

24M just got chest pain, constant burping, and coughing i went to a doctor and they told me it's acid reflux but they also order me to take a ecg to really check the heart current on my 6 days of taking pantrapazole 40mg but there's still the burping and the random mild chest pain that i can pinpoint mainly on the center but sometimes theres a pin like pain for a few seconds on the left side of my chest
The ecg result are 78 rhythm rate

Has anyone experienced these symptoms
So for the past month I've been suffering for I'm guessing a bad flare up in my stomach. I was taking 40mg of omeprazole and a few months ago was feeling great, eating the food I loved so I made the dumb mistake to stopped taking them cold turkey. Well a month ago I had the worst acid dump and wreaked havoc in my stomach and esophagus. I had this happen a year ago and I stopped eating and lost 20lbs. Now I feel like I'm going down the same rabbit hole.
They symptoms are feeling like a roll of dough in the top middle of my abdomen. Pretty much my stomach area. I still have the burning sensation in my esophagus and tongue. I constantly have esophagus spasms that are driving me nuts. Keeps me up all night and gives me anxiety. Also when I eat something and when the good goes down my esophagus and right when it hits the sphincter it feels like it gets stuck for a second and then feels like it scraps it while going down into my stomach. I'm beginning to lose weight again. I do feel like I have an hemorrhoid so now having trouble passing stools. I'm in constant fight or flight mode. Body fatigue, feeling symptoms of dehydration, brain fog, when I get excited my heart rate begins to race and I feel like lava running through my vains, my throat feels tight at times and stings that comes and goes, the constant belching, can't sleep at night due to a rush of tightness that rushes in the middle of my chest that comes and goes like every 2 minutes 🥺.
I suffer from health anxiety so the first thought is stomach or esophageal cancer but from I'm getting told from people that has experienced this that it could possibly be gastritis, peptic ulcer, esophagitis at times my stomach feels inflamed when I drink water. Even when I talk I get short of breath 😟
I force myself to ear but before I do I start to get nauseated but then when I do eat I eat all my food as if I was hungry. Anxiety?? Just wanting to see some of yalls thoughts
A year ago I've gotten blood work, xrays, ultrasounds, barium swallow, stool samples, and a CT scan and all have come back negative for cancer so why can't I trust the results. If it's an ulcer how long does it take to heal and does it give you flu like symptoms when it flares up?

Hello fam, today I bring you a review of this pair.
The shape of the shoe is perfect.
Leather is good quality, the best I've seen so far.
Suede is soft and has movement.
The heel’s shape is similar to an hourglass.
Tongue tag doesn't squirt red and it's good.
The sicko face logo on the heels are well done.
The shape of the toe box is not too high or too low.
Cactus Jack 3M marked correctly.
Tongue tag Cactus Jack well done.
The left shoe’s white leather layer is very wrinkled but I have seen many retailers with the same wrinkles. It gives a more realism to the shoe.Real leather wrinkles.
The sole strong and and it feels very comfortable.
In my opinion, this pairs so far is the best thing I've had in my hands.
The shipment was through the FedEx company and the time was very fast.

2024.05.21 13:38 pokerxii please go to a doctor if you’re always nauseous/nauseous after eating!!!

yes, there’s a good chance it could be anxiety, but it’s so so SO important to get checked out. i went almost 3 years of misery simply because i gave up trying to find out why.
for 2, almost 3 years of my life i’ve been suffering from nausea after eating and it eventually led to me having an eating disorder. i was diagnosed with acid reflux and anxiety but i knew that wasn’t the root cause!
you know your body! push for yourself! i really don’t want to scare anyone but i think a lot of people blame everything on anxiety and despite that being the likely cause, there’s always a small chance something else is going on.
my biggest piece of advice is to get an endoscopy if nothing improves. if you don’t know what that is, it’s a camera down your throat into your stomach. i was so fearful that i had things like stomach cancer or gastroparesis and getting an endoscopy was the only way to rule all of that out. it might seem scary but it’s so fucking worth it. (id pay money to get sedated like that again omfg)
my actual nausea cause after 2 years of hell? R-CPD. i’m nauseous because i can’t burp 🤦‍♀️ looking to get botox for it but point is, GET CHECKED OUT!!!
feeling nauseous all the time, especially after eating is not normal and can sometimes be a sign of something more serious than just nerves.
i’m making this post not to scare, but to do what i can to make sure no one has to suffer.
you’ve got this!

2024.05.21 13:16 Material_Coyote4573 How concerning is an elevated ALT and Bilirubin ?

So uh.
Im a 18M, 5”6, 200 lb, African American,
My bilirubin value is 1.9
My ALT is 53
And I recently found out my total cholesterol is like REALLY high (it’s 191)
My AST is completely normal tho. (Value is 26)
So I kinda wanna know the connection between all three; does this mean my liver is failing and that it’s sorta a permanent thing? Or does this mean I just need to eat better too lower my cholesterol, and that should subsequently lower my ALT and bilirubin values??
Really scared lol.
For the record, I’ve never drank alcohol, and no smoking/any drugs. I don’t take any meds, and only medical history is TERRIBLE acid reflux and prediabetes (5.7 A1C) (although i think I have Ibs tbh
Any input would be appreciated before my follow up w/ my physician

2024.05.21 13:06 IllustratorBig8347 Help?

Hi Guys,
Will try not to bore you. I was wondering if anyone has similar symptoms or if their progression sounds like mine.
So last year September, I woke up to this aching feeling when carrying my handbag on my right hand. Within a week, the whole hand was affected. I had pain lifting anything and I started using ibrupofen everyday to control the pain. It was that bad.
That same month, I noticed my vision became very blurry. I started having this shaky and tremor in my legs with slight cramps.
Somehow, my right leg was twitching uncontrollably too. I had shortness of breath when lying down (this has been on and off) with really bad fatigue. I was always tired.
September - Weak shoulder and arm, Painful hands
By October, noticed twitching in my neck and difficulty swallowing. Like I had to push the food down to swallow it properly. This time, I also noticed some cramps in my left fingers and hands. This continued on slowly. I still had strength.
October- Weak Left arm, swallowing issues.
November: I started twitching in my tongue. My tongue dances around. Soon, I would get mouth aches after talking for over an hour and my head felt weak, my neck could not hold itself up and would fall. I was using braces in my hands, legs and neck. This time, they did an EMG on all four limbs which came back clean. This was exactly two months since the symptoms started. I had a clean ANA profile as well.
November - Tongue twitching,neck collapse.
December - Nothing new, the symptoms just got worse. So, I decided to take a blood test. All came back ok except my iron which was extremely low and high copper.
So, I started supplementing iron. This somehow would stop the tongue dancing around for like an hour and soon it would return. This was too much to bear. So, I did the below treatments
Treatments
Feroglobin - 1 tsb per day Glu Scavenger - 1 Folic Acid - 1 Glutathione - 1 Vitamin E - 1 Vitamin D - 1 Ashwaghanda Lions Mane Lserine- 2x a day I also did a phospholipid exchange
Alas, the day I started Tudca mixed with fulvic and humic acid (omnyne on Amazon) , my life changed forever. My symptoms went down by over 90%. No longer had tongue twitching or facial weakness, I could not even notice the weakness. The pain almost went.
I have been on Tudca ever since. Realised the fulvic acid is what makes the Tudca effective so I bought Fulvic Acid separately and this was a game changer. Barely noticed any weakness. It helps with the pain and cramps too and I almost go by everyday without any pain or issues.
however, after a week of stress (I baked a lot and had a lot of guests so I had to be on my feet for close to 10 hours a day) I noticed my left leg has not become weak. The whole thing is all over my body now from head to toe. I am now experiencing similar symptoms as I did in Septembe October only this time, Tudca and acids are keeping it at bay and it did not get so bad like I had in September with my right side.
Problem is my next neuron appointment is in October and quite frankly w/o the Tudca, I think I would be in a much worse state by now. My legs are slowly better and my grip strength sometimes gets so bad but once I supplement with feroglobin, I get better.
I have asked every single person they seem not to even think this relates to the three big words or MS. MRI clean too.
Please help me.

2024.05.21 12:54 erinocalypse When to go to urgent care (ER?) for arm pain

35f 5'3'' 230lbs severe alcohol use disorder (15+ units per day) Implanon birth control occasional smoker
I've been attempting to "taper" and with that has come being able to feel things in my body. For the past two weeks I've had left side shoulder and arm aches and pains. They come and go but sometimes persist for a while. My kidneys are also sore most days. I'm concerned that maybe my kidneys are struggling and impacting my heart? Would it be worthwhile to go to an urgent care just to get checked out?
At the same time I have a lot of acid reflux due to the alcohol consumption so I understand that could be a factor.

2024.05.21 09:21 timelessdolphin 11-week old won’t eat

Our baby keeps running into the same feeding issues and I seriously have never felt so hopeless. She was diagnosed with a casein allergy at 3 weeks and put on Alimentum while I cleared my system and breast milk of soy and dairy. She rejected that so we put her on Neutramigen and mixed it with BM. She rejected that so we put her on BM. She rejected that and displayed signs of potential acid reflux—arched back and crying during feeds—so our pediatrician prescribed famotidine. Before that we thought it was gas so ped recommended Mylicon before every feed.
Nothing has worked. Each stage of the process she’ll start eating again and we’ll think we’ve found the miracle cure. Then slowly but surely the number of oz she takes down dwindles. Now she’s on Elecare and barely taking any of it. Which means she doesn’t sleep, which means we don’t sleep, etc. The worst part is it seems like she’s hungry but won’t eat. An ENT scoped her today and said there’s a little bit of irritation in her throat but nothing alarming. My husband and I are devastated as we thought that she just needed omeprazole and that would be our silver bullet.
Our child’s issues have surpassed almost everyone else we know with “difficult” children. Her motor and vocal development is very advanced so we’ve got that going for us. And her weight gain is good, thankfully (and weirdly considering the eating.) But I feel totally and completely hopeless that this will ever be resolved. I hoped the end of the 4th trimester would bring relief but it seems like we’re right back where we started, and possibly even worse off because we don’t have any options anymore.
Thank you so much for listening 🙏🏻 This sub gives me solace on my darkest days.

2024.05.21 09:09 caseygolf2604 After 46 days, here is what I have learned from going nearly sugar free (low sugar).

As a slightly obese college student who was (and still is) looking to lose weight, and improve the skin on my face, going to a low sugar diet was relatively easy to start. It is about having motivation and committing to starting. I had a problem where I would be eating large quantities of ice cream at night and would crave it all of the time when I had time alone. I really wanted to change this habit, but ice cream and other sweets were hard to put down. I decided to really commit to the bit and make sure I would be checking nearly everything I eat and seeing how much natural and added sugars were in each thing moving forward toward this nearly sugar free (low sugar) transitional diet. For me, my exercise is moderate, and will occasionally go on walks and play sports, but that is the extent of it.
I set some rules for myself for how this low suganearly sugar free diet would go. 1. Absolutely no sweets of any kind (Candies, Ice Cream, Pastries, etc.) 2. No sweeteners of any kind (Sucralose, Aspartame, Stevia, etc.) (I don't have sodas, fizzy drinks or anything like that anyways so this one didn't really apply to me.) 3. Avoid added sugars if possible (or lower amounts of added sugars if alternatives aren't feasible) Things like bread sometimes have a little bit of added sugar, so going for breads that are low in this department are better than ones with high amounts of added sugar. Things like Brioche buns and sandwich bread can be really high in sugar like 7-15 grams, while a giant white sub roll from Jersey Mikes only has 3 grams of sugar. 4. Check all labels for serving size, sugar content, and bad sweeteners such as corn syrup and high fructose corn syrup. Even if product says there is 0g of added sugar on the label, there still might be sweeteners that allow for the brand to mark the product as sugar free, as the serving size can dictate that sometimes. 5. Aim for a high protein, high fat, medium carb diet daily. 6. No more than 50 grams of total natural sugars per day. Don't eat too much fruit. 6. Avoid all highly processed foods and snacks when possible 7. Reduce dairy intake, do away with cheeses on occasion
Here's a timeline of what occurred so far through these first 46 days
First two days: I would think about ice cream and sugars occasionally, but was easy to put aside, and had the motivation to eat a regular low sugar diet.
Days 3-10: Easily the toughest days. I would just be thinking about sugar and craving it constantly. I would not leave my mind to have a bite of a cookie, or a scoop of ice cream. It made me want sugar so badly, which made me realize how addicted I actually was to sugar. I lost 10 pounds in 10 days, which kept me engaged and motivated to continue this diet.
Days 10-14: Headaches! I had a few headaches and it sucked, with each headache lasting about 30 minutes to two hours. Apparently, this is extremely common, and even expected. During these days without the headaches, I still had cravings for ice cream and other sweets, but I noticed it was getting easier to avoid these things.
Week 3: Even from day 10, I noticed that my breath, even with brushing my teeth, flossing, mouthwash rinsing, and tongue cleaning, smelled horrible, and it did not make any sense to me. This goes away eventually and it has not returned ever since the end of week 3. I went searching around, and I guess this is a common thing.
Weeks 4 -7 (present): The cravings have not completely gone away regarding sugar, but every time I think about them, I just think that they seem way too sweet, and it actually turns me away from actually wanting to purchase ice cream or make any sweets. Since the start of this diet, I have lost a total of 15 pounds at about 1 pound per week. Going low sugar or nearly sugar free is so much easier after the 3rd week, and avoiding sugars feels so much easier.
There is a caveat here in that I did have a regular 24 oz gatorade on day 10, but I was playing tennis and another half of a gatorade sometime during week 4 when playing golf. So there were two times that I "violated" my diet rules, but I'll give myself a pass because I was outside, sweating, and needed the sodium electrolytes at those given times.
There are a couple of tips that I can offer that made this diet much easier to do. 1. Snacking. One trick that I have been using in order to feed into my cravings a little bit is to eat apples and popcorn. - Popcorn, especially homemade popped popcorn (not microwaved), is a cheat code. Popcorn contains no sugar at all, and is low in calories, making cravings easier to manage. For me, I have a popcorn maker that I put in like half a tablespoon of avocado oil with about 1/3-1/2 cup of popcorn kernels, and top with a tablespoon of butter and salt. If you are looking for a more convenient option, or don't have a popcorn maker, or don't want to make popcorn on the stove, I would suggest looking for the bagged popcorn, that is cooked in Avocado or Olive Oil instead of the seed oils (because seed oils contribute to fatty liver disease, amongst other health problems), even though these can be really tough to find. If you live in the Northeastern United States, Wegmans sells a bagged popcorn cooked in Olive Oil that is a really good option. - Apples were another food that I ate both when I wanted a snack, and occasionally for dessert. Apples are high in natural sugars, but are also high in fiber, so it'll be easier for the sugar to pass compared to processed sugars. I would have organic Pink Lady apples and the Costco, Kirkland Signature all natural peanut butter that has no added sugar to it. The only ingredients are just peanuts and salt. I prefer natural peanut butter to the ones with sugar in it anyways, so this was a go-to option. For me I would have up to two apples a day, and that was about all of my fruit intake for the day. Obviously, berries and other fruits are also good options for snacking and desserts, but just make sure not to overdo it because if you consume too much natural sugar, it will have a similar affect to consuming processed sugar. 2. If you are someone who carries a little extra weight, continue to weigh yourself everyday, it keeps you motivated to continue. There will be some days where you might gain a pound here, and lose a pound there, but over the course of a week, you'll notice that you'll slowly lose weight over time. 3. Treat yourself on occasion (but not with sugars). Eating a healthy balance of proteins, fats, and carbs is important. But every once in a while, do not be afraid to have pizza or burgers and fries, and/or other more traditionally "unhealthy" foods. But be careful, ketchup, for example, for just a tablespoon has 3 grams of added sugar in it, so be careful about dipping sauces and condiments. Still watch out for sugars! 4. Identify what healthy foods you like to eat for meals, and continue to have those things if possible. Cook at home instead of going out to eat if possible, unless you can afford to purchase and identify healthy takeaway foods.
Another important note, I have read in several places that sugar can have a similar affect to alcohol with several bodily functions, and can prohibit weight loss while also resulting in weight gain. I would highly recommend to avoid all alcohol at all costs because it might actually be counter productive to drink alcohol and go sugar free because the alcohol will act in a similar capacity to how sugar is processed. Alcohol is made from fermenting sugars after all.
For me, once I made it past week 3, everything gets so much easier from there. I hope someone found this helpful or had clarified any questions that one may have had.

2024.05.21 08:42 teanourish White Tea for Skincare: How it Helps with Anti-Aging and Glowing Skin

The Benefits of White Tea for Preventing Signs of Aging
Antioxidants are abundant in white tea, and they aid in shielding the skin from harm caused by free radicals. Free radicals are unstable molecules that are produced by our bodies as a result of natural processes, such as metabolism, and environmental factors, such as pollution and UV radiation. Accumulation of free radicals in the skin can cause harm to the collagen and elastin fibers responsible for providing firmness and elasticity to the skin, resulting in early signs of aging.
Catechins are a type of antioxidant found in high concentration in white tea, which work by neutralizing free radicals and preventing skin damage. Studies have demonstrated that these antioxidants can have anti-aging benefits for the skin. Catechins help reduce inflammation, protect against UV damage, and improve skin elasticity.
Apart from catechins, white tea also harbors other antioxidants like flavonoids and phenolic acids that supplement its anti-aging characteristics. These components foster cell growth and refurbishment, thereby aiding in the mitigation of the visibility of fine lines, wrinkles, and other aging indications.
Skin Brightening Benefits of White Tea
In addition to its anti-aging benefits, white tea also has skin-brightening properties. Thearubigin, a type of polyphenol present in white tea, has been found to hinder the function of the tyrosinase enzyme. Tyrosinase plays a vital role in producing melanin, the pigment responsible for our skin color. When tyrosinase activity is inhibited, less melanin is produced, which can help lighten dark spots and other forms of hyperpigmentation.
White tea also contains caffeine, which can help stimulate blood flow and reduce puffiness. When applied topically, white tea can help reduce the appearance of dark circles and under-eye bags, giving the skin a brighter, more youthful appearance. You can buy tea online at Teanourish.com.
How Can You Include White Tea in Your Skincare Regimen?
There are various ways to integrate white tea into your skincare regimen if you're interested. One option is to use skincare products that contain white tea extracts, such as cleansers, toners, and moisturizers. Look for products that list white tea as one of the main ingredients, and be sure to check the concentration to ensure that it is high enough to be effective.
A different alternative would be to prepare a serving of white tea and apply it as a facial toner. Simply steep a white tea bag in hot water for a few minutes, and then allow the tea to cool to room temperature. Transfer the tea to a spray bottle and spritz it onto your face after cleansing. The antioxidants in the tea will help soothe and protect your skin, while the caffeine will help stimulate blood flow and brighten your complexion.
End Note
Overall, white tea is a powerful skincare ingredient that offers numerous benefits for anti-aging and glowing skin. Its high concentration of antioxidants, including catechins, flavonoids, and phenolic acids, helps protect the skin against free radical damage and promotes cell regeneration. Additionally, its thearubigin content helps inhibit tyrosinase activity, which can help lighten dark spots and other forms of hyperpigmentation. If you're looking for a natural, effective way to enhance your skincare routine, consider incorporating white tea into your daily routine.

2024.05.21 08:28 pearldental12 What are the effects of adding fluoride to drinking water on human physical and mental health?

Adding fluoride to drinking water, a practice known as water fluoridation, is primarily intended to reduce the incidence of dental caries (tooth decay). This public health measure has been widely implemented in many countries and has been subject to extensive research. Here are the effects of fluoride on human physical and mental health based on current scientific understanding:

Physical Health Effects

  1. Dental Health:
  1. Bone Health:
  1. Thyroid Function:

Mental Health Effects

Research on the mental health effects of fluoride is less extensive and more controversial compared to physical health. Here are some key points:
  1. Cognitive Development in Children:
  1. Neurodevelopmental Effects:

Regulatory and Health Organization Stances

Most health organizations, including the WHO, CDC, American Dental Association (ADA), and others, support water fluoridation as a safe and effective public health measure. They emphasize that the levels of fluoride used in water fluoridation are well below those associated with adverse health effects.

Conclusion

The addition of fluoride to drinking water at recommended levels has significant benefits for dental health, particularly in reducing cavities. While there are some concerns about potential adverse effects, particularly at high levels of exposure, the evidence suggests that fluoridation at levels used in public water systems is safe for both physical and mental health. Continuous monitoring and research are essential to ensure the safety and efficacy of water fluoridation practices.

2024.05.21 08:15 DarkFlat3872 I don’t know if I have asthma please advise

Hi everyone, I’m 26m and for the last 2-3 weeks I’ve been having some strange symptoms I’ve never had before. Let me first say that I currently cannot afford health insurance or a doctor’s visit (though I’ve been tempted to say screw it and go to the ER and take the hit to my credit).
Up until 1 month and a week ago I was 200 pounds and then I started a new job where the work has been more physically demanding. I’ve since lost 23 pounds after cutting sugar, carbs and junk food. I drink just water and watch my calorie count every day. 2 weeks in I was in the dairy cooler putting milk on the shelf but was working pretty fast, out of no where I had some issues breathing for a good 10-15 seconds and it scared the hell out of me. The next day J had the same issues except I wasn’t in the dairy cooler, it was after I unloaded a truck and was very overheated and didn’t drink water (more obvious to happen this time). Thankfully I haven’t had those issues since possibly because I’ve taken it much easier to avoid potentially having that happen again. My current symptoms day to day are: slight difficulty when exhaling (this has been a constant since those episodes) it generally gets worst after or during when I’m over exerting myself. Also have been getting more sinus related issues towards nightime like running nose/stuffy nose and the exhaling has made me want to cough. Mind you I don’t wheeze at all so my parents insist that I don’t have asthma but my brother had it when he was a kid.. I also have been occasionally been getting tightness in chest but always thought it was acid reflux but I would get it even if I didn’t eat anything.
I would truly appreciate any help or advice in the slightest or even if what I said sounds similar to anyone.

2024.05.21 07:51 InterstellarSpaniel Day 15, here's a list of physical gains

Daily heavy drinker for 20+ years, many attempts to stop, they've always been so hard, this time it feels 'right' and I'm actually enjoying it.
I no longer get a headache at 3pm every single day
My digestion was worse week 1 but now significantly better
I no longer have acid reflux. It stopped almost immediately, no more esomeprazole for me
Mental health is way up. No depression and absolutely zero anxiety so far. Mood is significantly more stable.
I've doubled the number of steps I do, not deliberately, I just don't sit and procrastinate/stare at my phone at every opportunity.
I'm sleeping deeply and dreaming!
I'm not eager to get home and start drinking as soon as possible.
I'm slowly starting to lose weight, I'm not getting those hard cravings for salt/sugar throughout the day.
I went to the city with my family, sports event, dinner, 2 pubs, zero alcohol. Present, not hungover, content. Out with mates tomorrow night to a pub, actually looking forward to checking out their AF options and not making a fool of myself.
All this after 2 weeks? Wow. Thanks to you all for this great community.
Also, Guinness 0 is amazing.

2024.05.21 07:27 emoardvark69 Tongue piercing still swollen

Hey! I got my tongue pierced for the second time 2 weeks ago tomorrow. The first time was over 4 years ago. When I got it pierced the first time, the swelling was gone in about 6 days but this time it still isn’t gone. I’m wondering if maybe piercing through scar tissue is the reason? It’s not super swollen and I couldn’t even tell it was swollen still until I tried to change the bar to a shorter one and found it didn’t have much extra room at all. I have been mouthwashing with alcohol free mouth wash after (almost) every meal, brushing twice daily, haven’t been playing with it or messing with it much. It doesn’t hurt at all. No signs of infection. There is just a white bump under my tongue around the piercing but I have read that can be normal. Just wondering if the prolonged swelling is a cause for concern or someone else’s advice.
