2024.05.21 01:08 Jury-Radiant may 28th no more walkers in nyc please

We are making changes to how couriers can use the Uber Driver app to make deliveries in New York City. Because New York City’s Minimum Pay Rate encourages apps to use workers’ time more efficiently, and walkers have fewer delivery opportunities that take more time to complete, as of May 28th we are removing the option to deliver as a walker. You will still have other options to deliver, including by bike, car, scooter, or motorcycle.
Deliver by bike: You will still have the option to deliver using the app by bike. If you have access to a bike, you are good to go. Just select the “Bicycle” option next time you go online.
Additionally, through our partnership with Zoomo, Uber Eats couriers can access a range of E-bikes and equipment at a special discount. Discover more about this offer here.
Deliver by car: You must be at least 19 years old with a US driver's license and insurance for your car. To add a car, you can click here or contact Support.
Deliver by motorcycle or moped: You must be at least 19 years old, have a motorcycle or moped that is 50cc or under, a US driver's license, and insurance for your motorcycle or moped. If you would like to add a motorcycle or moped, you can click here or contact Support.

Trying to buy a refurbished XV2 and I'm not sure why these 2 are named differently. I see a lot of 150/144hz and UHD/FHD discrepancies in Google searches. Isn’t 4K automatically UHD?

Just finished my Mining Drone Control Logic which took way too long. Please rate
https://preview.redd.it/xmgbc54ohw0d1.png?width=363&format=png&auto=webp&s=aaaa7170754abcd6b6c9a673dfe201cd79805fab
FYI- the 29 polys are due to playing with mods. This schematic uses none though.
I made it illuminated for visual ease and only use up to logic processors so no cryo-fluid is needed. The buttons on the left control which items the drones are set to mine. Here's a chart of how they work
https://preview.redd.it/tmmou4z7iw0d1.png?width=485&format=png&auto=webp&s=c067ba9867fd0b0adb83c4b2c5be6ca59e108fa3
The right buttons allow you to change the amount of drones the logic setup controls.
https://preview.redd.it/jo6727xwiw0d1.png?width=750&format=png&auto=webp&s=32dd1762c7c78d827c895916e19d4d9255174dfb
The middle button is for resetting the system, as you can change your settings easily in the top right logic processor in the first 2-9 commands. To increase efficiency when delivering items to the core, the ore patches are not chosen by what is closest to the unit, but by what is closest to the core which is determined during reset. If you're willing to increase commands, you can also calculate which is closer but with mods that slows the processing due to the number of units.
https://preview.redd.it/s3ho5if7jw0d1.png?width=1127&format=png&auto=webp&s=2bc6ef50f6b4c72a4f5b096890caef426c772271
Once I figure out the issue with mod item/unit IDs this should allow the setup to function with any new units and minable resources very easily.

When it comes to similar acts to Daft Punk, there's a myriad of artists out there that fits the bill. So I have made a table of artists that I believe every Daft Punk should listen to.

2024.05.11 17:16 Aggressive-lil-Road Keine Passion für studierten Beruf, soll ich nochmal neu anfangen?

Hey erstmal,
Was soll ich machen?
Details: Ich beende nächstes Semester mein Informatik Bachelor.
Hoffe man versteht mein, zugegeben, sehr priviligiertes Problem. Schonmal danke für die Hilfe :)
PS: Ich hab alles auf dem Handy geschrieben. Hoffe die Formatierung passt

2024.05.10 12:25 AutoModerator Weekly Venting Post - repeated each Friday!

Weekly Vent Post
Welcome to our weekly vent session where you can let out all your frustrations.
Before you start, just a quick heads-up on the rules.
Here's what this post isn't for:
What's cool to post? Well, we've noticed a lot of rants about how the show promotes (or doesn't promote) Simone and Jonny, but you can vent about other stuff too.
Below, I've linked some past posts from the sub that fit the vibe of our weekly vent session, so you can see what kind of stuff goes here.
  1. Why there was a lack of promo for Kanthony
  2. All comments asking where Kanthony are
  3. Bridgerton PR and production
  4. Can you tell the difference ?
  5. The main sub got so negative
  6. We need pictures
For those who just want to enjoy the content without getting caught up in the venting, I suggest steering clear of this post. If you choose to read the comments here and find yourself upset, despite the clear purpose of this space, I'm afraid there's not much I can do to ease your frustration. We have the Weekly Tea Time for more general discussions.

2024.05.07 14:21 CalmSignature562 11.05.24 Juliana Huxtable, Krzysztof Baginski, Some Guest / POISE: ALLG, gosha savage, larissa, monka @Jasna 1

Berlin-via-New York multidisciplinary artist Juliana Huxtable might be best known for her DJing and dancefloor productions. She's the co-founder of the party Shock Value and a regular at Berghain, Herrensauna, Basement and more clubs and festivals around the world.
Her sets skillfully deploy the notion of sampling, and re-blogging as DJ strategies, ecstatically mixing an array of influences that frolic at the boundary of genre- intuition and experimentation. At once an assertion of freedom and an ode to the evolutionary structure of electronic music subcultures, she aspires to the sublime in what can often only be described as witchcraft behind the decks; seance from the stage.
Joining her will be our talented buddy (N13) Some Guest and Krzysztof Bagiński, an artist and organizer, who’s a co-curator of W Brzask (At Dawn) a series of experimental music concerts. In the past he also co-organized Dragana Bar, a club night by Kem collective.
Bar room gonna turn into a Bestinas paradise, all thanks to the POISE collective. Get ready to strut your stuff and shake it down to the bone [ UK Garage, Dubstep, Bass, Electro, Techno, Reggaeton, Dancehall, Trance, Riddim, Dembow, Guaracha, Post-Club]

2024.05.04 15:58 s51m0n55 argument variable changing mid-function without any code being there to change it

so i have the following function for basic movement of enemies:
pr = () def move_opps_and_projectiles(coords): global pr oldc = coords obj = mapl[tuple(player.room)]['draw'][coords] if mapl[tuple(player.room)]['draw'][coords]['type'] == 'opp': mapl[tuple(player.room)]['draw'][coords]['tick'] += 1 pr = coords if mapl[tuple(player.room)]['draw'][coords]['tick']%mapl[tuple(player.room)]['draw'][coords]['speed'] == 0: distfromp = xy_add(player.position,(-coords[0],-coords[1])) if 0 in distfromp: sdir = [0,0] #shootdir if distfromp[0] == 0: sdir[1] = 1 if coords[1] and i use it like this:
mkeys = list(mapl[tuple(player.room)]['draw']. for thing in mkeys: move_opps_and_projectiles(thing)
mapl is a dictionary which has a structure like this:
{(1,2):{'health':100,'speed':10,...}, (5,4):{'health':80,'speed':10,...}, }
it is a dictionary with all tiles of a 'room'
the problem is that exactly on the line with if mapl[tuple(player.room )]['draw'][coords]['tick']%mapl[tuple(player.room)]['draw'][coords]['speed'] == 0: the argument variable coords changes either to the first ever value that was in the for function where i call it, or the last, and if there are more than 1 enemy, if one enemy cant move (is right next to the player), no enemies move, sometimes more enemies dont move and 1 moves super fast and stuff like that.
i found that it changes by first outputting the value of coords infront of the if and then after, and before the if the coords value is correct, but after the if the value changes to either the last or the first enemy as mentioned before even though there isnt anything to change it.
i know i could maybe make the dictionary structure better and make a custom data type with classes but i atleast want to know what is causing it so i know the next time somnething like this happens.

2024.05.03 19:57 Gundobad2563 FH4 Series 74 Summer Seasonal Event Tunes and Video Guide

These cars were tuned to be both fast enough to win, and easy for me to drive [I've got arthritis and dexterity issues]. They're set up for auto shifting, so you're probably not going to set any WRs, but they're [mostly] easy wins vs. the bots, even if you're a mid sort of driver like me. I completed all of these events with drivatars set on Expert, but except for the Trial and the Buggy event, only Highly Skilled is required for full rewards.
The Trial aka The Porsche Cup - S2-998 Road, 2011 918 Spyder 139 312 670
Hype Tour- S2-998 Road, Hypercars, I stuck with the 918 Spyder I used in the Trial
Salooney Tunes - A-800 Street, Super Saloons, BMW 1 Series M tune 133 682 517
Summer Buggy Bash - B-700 CC, Offroad Buggies, Expert Bots, VW Class5/1500 Bug tune 176 615 784
I retuned the Bug for more power and weight, with nearly identical accel and speed, to better maintain speed through the breakable terrain. Stay a bit off the racing line to avoid breaking terrain for the bots. Far away, they'll ghost through terrain, but nearby your car they do take a speed hit.
u/Spwd recommends the Polaris RZR 1000 with a one-gear tune by NerdyButNoob 800 000 498. I tried that tune and found it really unpleasant to drive, but Spwd says he wouldn't have won without it [this was before I had retuned the VW]. So if the VW doesn't work for you, that one might.
Showcase Remix - Beat a jet in in the Lambo Countach. No tuning allowed, but the car is AWD and handles nicely. Scripted event, within limits. If you get over the last jump before the plane passes over it, you're gold.
Summer PR Stunts - Offroad Mosler: 175 882 624, Road Mosler: 146 365 894
If you need a different car for any of these events, drop a comment with the car you'd like to use, and I'll see if I can make a winner for you.

2024.05.02 13:13 donkeydooda Over 120 playlists I've spent hundreds of hours making. Every genre and mood! Rock/Hip-Hop/Electronic/Alternative/Soul/Blues/Reggae/Pop/etc

Hey people!
I'm an absolute music addict who appreciates all genres, and at the request of some friends at the start of lockdown 2020, started to summarise all music genres I like into catchy long but well culled playlists. Here are all the ones made over the last 4 years for you to hopefully explore subgenres, vibes, artists, etc broken down by main genre-
ROCK
GO WITH THE FLOW - Blues x Rock / 360+ catchy blues-rock songs exploring every corner of the genre
SLUDGE FACTORY - Blues x Hard-Rock / 270+ heavy blues-rock songs with more grinding riffs, sludgier grooves and heavier distortion than the previous playlist.
FEELING ALRIGHT - Reggae x Rock / 210+ songs that can be best described as emulating the more chilled Sublime songs, somewhere in between reggae and soft rock.
TASTE LIKE FUNK - Funk x Rock / 160+ songs to get your groove on to with chicka chicka guitars, slappa da basses with rock umph to your dose of funk
TO THE SEA - Surf/Roots/Jam x Rock / 380+ songs of chilled artists like Jack Johnson, Dispatch, John Butler Trio, Xavier Rudd, etc

STORM – Dark Bass Vocals / Vocal sibling of the previous playlist with dark bass production accompanying various styles of vocals. A mix of alternate pop, dubstep, ambient, trip-hop and more general bass music 200+songs
JAH WAR – Sounds of Dread / This can be seen as a conceptual playlist for a Jamaican apocalyptic party (sounds of dread as in the sense of dread but also dreadlocks). But another musical way to look at is as a dancehall/dub/industrial playlist explored mainly through the sonic output of The Bug. 100+ songs.
BODY MOVIN' – 90s Alternative Dance / That alternative dance sound from the 90s where you hear bouncey instruments rather than the synthage of mainstream dance. 130+ songs.

BIG TINGS REDONE - Reggae x Hip-Hop / Fusion of reggae beats, production or bands and hip-hop MCs. 130+ boppy tunes

BLUEGRASS STAIN'D - Blues-Rock x Hip-Hop / It would be a stretch to call all of the 170+ tracks on here blues-rock, but there is at least bluesy guitar. All hip-hop songs with differing ratios of blues and rock influence to the production.
FLOW FOREVER - Oldskool Hip-Hop / 190+ songs. All the biggest and pioneering artists of the hip-hop game pre-1995
DROP IT LIKE IT'S HOT- Hip-Hop-Hits 1995-2010 / 200+ songs. All the biggest hits from the radio between '95 and '10
