Just a quick background. My husband and I are from different parts of the world, different culture and growing up we were exposed to different exvuronment. We both come from complete families and both speak the same language and we met when he was working in the country I grew up in. We moved together to another country because of work right after getting married.
He is someone who prefers to keep things light and cannot stand highlghting issues even if obvious, anything that sounds less than a happy news or description. Where for me, I am someone who addresses most serious things the way it is, with him and closed ones, to talk about how to resolve issues.
Recently his mom has been very sick, diagnosed with terminal illness. I asked him to visit immediately upon knowing it but he waited for 2 months before finally getting on a flight. Stating it was his mom's wishes he put me and our child first. He eventually went when his dad gave him a call saying his mom was suddently unresponsive and he should fly there immmediately, so he went last week. He took care of his old parents meals everyday while he was there. I even suggested we move across countries so we all can help take care of the them. He refused. He has a sibling living near them but physical help coming from her is minimum as she has a day job.
While he was at his parents and I stayed because that was what his mom wishes, just to have her son visit her, I truly understand she have no extra strength to have a toddler around (our child) it will exhaust her.
He texted me and told me he was unhappy his dad was not helping with chores while he was there and left everything to him and his sick mom. So he brought it up he was unhappy he cooked and cleaned and said his dad should help. I texted back agree with him but asked him to remember both his parents are really old in their 80s and even though his mom is the one with terminal disease, his dad's hands where shaking like someone with altzeimer or age related neuro issues and he might have altzeimer like my own grandpa and dad, showing the same symtoms, so be kind and extra accommodating.
My husband then told me I was speaking badly about his dad and asked me to stop since he never spoke bad about my parents and wouldn't interfere. I replied and explained, I was not trying to speak badly about his dad and asked him if he understood the difference between speaking badly and sharing concern. He insisted I was just bad mouthing.
It's been 10yrs of marriage, we see each other 247. To me, this doesn't seem like a marriage at all. This is just one of the incidences. There were many others throughout the last 10yrs. I personally believe we are unable to understand each other and we are not compatible after trying for a decade.
Extra notes, He calls my mom, mom from thr moment we got married. I have to call his mom by her name because that is what my mother in law prefers.
I told him we should go seperate ways and he needs a doormat gf who will not care nor have any opinions to make him happy. Everything from him to his family is so non inclusive.
My sibling and parents when my dad was still alive welcomed him as part of the family. I don't see if coming from his family.It's just too lopsided in my opinion. I do not feel we are truly a family. At the moment using the media mod is waaaay too cumbersome. Especially with wireless mics and no support for turning the mics and receiver on when you hit record on the GoPro. The Osmo has completely solved this issue.
I don’t want to replace my GoPro. I’m happy with the camera on my 11. I’d rather just pay £200 for a new media mod and mic. Everyone would be happy. Go Pro would get some money. I’d stay in the ecosystem with my subscription and I would save money not having to buy a whole new camera.
I know GoPros are action cameras first, and they don’t have to cater to the vlogging market. But it’s money they’re missing out on as a lot of us are already there.

My husband 44M and I 43F, together for three years, have a pretty great relationship overall, have extremely similar niche interests, are weird in compatible ways, supportive & understanding of each other’s health issues.
We have known each other for many years & never argued as friends, but every time we have an argument he threatens to leave or quit the part-time job we do together. I think the work we do (which includes a close family member) bonds us & makes our lives more meaningful, & brings a lot of fun, creativity & motivation. Sure, it has stressful moments, but overall it is one of the most enriching parts of my life. He was reluctant to work together initially but has really enjoyed it overall, but ofc he says “I knew it was a bad idea to work together” whenever any issue arises.
He always apologises profusely & genuinely after saying such things, but I am getting really sick of it & I think my feelings towards him are getting whittled down by these threats, I feel quite numb & distant because it’s hurtful, but I do appreciate his heartfelt apologies. I have said he can’t keep saying he will leave me/the work but he still does.

So let me go on a story.
I'm a gay 29M.
I lost my parents, and received inheritance around two months before my birthday last year. It was put toward purchasing a lovely home with several rooms and accommodations. It's very lovely.
However; when this happened, I lost my job which would've provided a far better income, benefits, and far easier work due to circumstances that transpired. I was set back for a while, and ultimately became financially unstable. I always make it work out ultimately now, re-employed and taking odd jobs, so I've become reliable on that front.
I invited a coworker of mine who wanted to avoid her abusive living situation with her mother, who threatened to kick her out. This coworker friend (20F) [Let's call her J] tends to have anger-issues that elicit her to lash out at people rather immensely. She has made tremendous progress in this respect I feel in some of the time I know her, but habits continue. It's not physical or anything, it's just emotional/anxiety riddled stuff, and so forth. For the most part, having lost the job, the majority of the duress between us arrives from housing situations and ultimately the issues aren't massive. Either out of respect, out of understanding, or out of better compatibility, things improved. Likewise she has a cat, and while it can be a little annoying, it's adorable so I forgive it. Likewise she's a big animal lover.
Near Christmas, another former Coworker of mine (24F) [She can be H.]had a falling out with her boyfriend. So at the behest of my new roommate's request, she was given a room. It was a trial to sort of get her back on her feet. I offered a month without rent to allow her to save money. Then a 3-month period discounted Rent, to help her furnish herself. Likewise due to a smaller room; she had less money owed. This has continued for five or so months in totality. This Coworker I don't have much synergy with, and she seems primarily self-contained. I don't opt to interact with her, and she doesn't with me. Likewise; she's far more extroverted than I or my roommate, so often goes out drinking, hanging out with boys, etc.
Recap.
J is 20. H is 24.
And for the majority of the time together; the two have been fast friends and likewise seemed to improve more as they've hung out here. Until the second roommate wanted a cat, which initially both were overjoyed by. She got a kitten, pretty spontaneously. And ignoring advice, she let it interact with my roommate's cat. We were initially planning on keeping them apart for both their safety, especially because the kitten hadn't been vet-processed and J's cat has a slightly weak immune system. This was in breach of trust given, and upset J quite a bit.
H had made plans to hangout with a friend that night, and essentially left the cat in a carrier in her room, and told J she'd likely be back by 1 AM that night, and if she could watch the cat. J had work at 7 AM, but agreed.
H got drunk and never came home that night. Meanwhile, the kitten she adopted was mewling all night across J's room and upsetting her essentially. The 4-week old kitten was comforted and likewise, and could fit into your cupped hands. It got stuck under a door once even, escaping it's carrier. It could've been bad or worse. I'm mildly upset at it.
But likewise; I own a pet I keep in my room too, who rarely scratches at the door sometimes. I can understand a cat left to their own devices can be fine, they can be solitary creatures seemingly. But given how young the kitten was and how it needed constant attention, it felt very rough for J to both look after H's kitten after everything, and for H to disappear after saying she'd return. Likewise J didn't want the cat to be harmed. She'd leave it be for intermittent periods but would check in on it every half-hour to hour.
So on this side of the topic; I feel J is beyond validated.
But it evolved.
J elected to lash out at H over this. Sending 20+ text messages in the same day; threatening to get the cat into a Vet, or Humane Shelter due to what had happened and the seeming neglect, so on and forth. Hollow threats she claims to provoke H into caring more, but ultimately still made and essentially this was on the first day of owning the kitten. I don't feel H was given an opportunity or time to process or adjust from her day's decision, and was bombarded immensely with hateful messages that tore her down.
Ultimately, this led to H giving her cat away, but she refuses to apologize, and their friendship essentially broke. H's ability to take accountability is tremendously limited and often leans toward victimization at times, but I empathized with her because J can be absolutely vitriolic, toxic, and poisonous when her anger oversteps her rationality.
Ultimately H feels like moving out in some regards due to it. But the talk about J's feelings toward H; the disdain, annoyance, and likewise low-opinion J holds due to this, has caused H to recluse some toward J further. And ultimately time has passed, between shouting at one another, to text messages, to H seeking refuge in friends and drink, to J having a operation around this time and spending time recuperating from it. Which opened a bridge of concern from H, that I hoped would maybe lead them to talking it out. Because the two can be good at it.
But ultimately when J relented enough to offer the Olive Branch, H rejected it. Which is her right. Civility after the initial moments had been somewhat restored, life moved on, they weren't friends but they could mostly live with one another.
Which led J spiraling into an angry tirade that was primarily meant to tear down H again, and did so by praying on trauma H had. Because J wanted to ensure all bridges were burnt down.
I'm stuck in the middle on this and it's aggravating me.
H refuses to even so much as budge in admitting fault, but I honestly don't think leaving your kitten alone at home is necessarily a bad idea on paper; since many animals are often left alone and while not the greatest situation can still be fine. She already has to work an 8-hour+ job some days, and would be relying on us in the interim for feline-care, until the cat was grown, had her shots, and was allowed to roam the house and have some more freedom. And likewise she had made plans, and got carried away. I can honestly chalk up her decisions to inexperience and bad decision-making and feel in some respects she deserves some grace. Likewise J's treatment of her, personal attacks, threats to get the Cat put into a Vet after one day, and likewise were it me in her shoes it would make me reconsider ownership of the cat as well, and likewise would make me very unreceptive toward any sort of relationship with J.
But as I said; H throughout all of this didn't apologize, and took solely to defending her decisions, justifying her rationale in them, and ultimately even on the things she did wrong that led to the situation developing, doesn't relent.
J meanwhile, I can see the frustration on. She is earnestly trying to get H to be accountable. She helped tremendously toward even getting the cat, and offered a lot of help throughout the process. She had her own cat endangered recklessly despite several warnings (in a very avoidable way that you'd deliberately have to do otherwise), and likewise was sent to work without sleep caretaking for a kitten that she had only volunteered for a few hours for. Much the same, the kitten was essentially in distress and abandoned in the first day, which raised a few questions about the responsibility and future events arising alike to that.
But; I feel that while J deserves to be told that in several respects she was right, that her grievances toward H erupted in such a manner that it was absolutely disrespectful, and painful, and likewise manipulative in the worst of ways.
I've no idea what to do in this case, because I'd like both Renters to sort of hash it out, and be done with it, but obviously not happening per se. But I'm also conflicted on the topic. I don't know if the kitten left alone is a massive deal and red flag for future neglect on the first day, or if it was acceptable to take time away from the kitten given how it would be left alone anyway when she worked. I'm a gay 29M.
I lost my parents, and received inheritance around two months before my birthday last year. It was put toward purchasing a lovely home with several rooms and accommodations. It's very lovely.
However; when this happened, I lost my job which would've provided a far better income, benefits, and far easier work due to circumstances that transpired. I was set back for a while, and ultimately became financially unstable. I always make it work out ultimately now, re-employed and taking odd jobs, so I've become reliable on that front.
I invited a coworker of mine who wanted to avoid her abusive living situation with her mother, who threatened to kick her out. This coworker friend (20F) [Let's call her J] tends to have anger-issues that elicit her to lash out at people rather immensely. She has made tremendous progress in this respect I feel in some of the time I know her, but habits continue. It's not physical or anything, it's just emotional/anxiety riddled stuff, and so forth. For the most part, having lost the job, the majority of the duress between us arrives from housing situations and ultimately the issues aren't massive. Either out of respect, out of understanding, or out of better compatibility, things improved. Likewise she has a cat, and while it can be a little annoying, it's adorable so I forgive it. Likewise she's a big animal lover.
Near Christmas, another former Coworker of mine (24F) [She can be H.]had a falling out with her boyfriend. So at the behest of my new roommate's request, she was given a room. It was a trial to sort of get her back on her feet. I offered a month without rent to allow her to save money. Then a 3-month period discounted Rent, to help her furnish herself. Likewise due to a smaller room; she had less money owed. This has continued for five or so months in totality. This Coworker I don't have much synergy with, and she seems primarily self-contained. I don't opt to interact with her, and she doesn't with me. Likewise; she's far more extroverted than I or my roommate, so often goes out drinking, hanging out with boys, etc.

J is 20. H is 24.
And for the majority of the time together; the two have been fast friends and likewise seemed to improve more as they've hung out here. Until the second roommate wanted a cat, which initially both were overjoyed by. She got a kitten, pretty spontaneously. And ignoring advice, she let it interact with my roommate's cat. We were initially planning on keeping them apart for both their safety, especially because the kitten hadn't been vet-processed and J's cat has a slightly weak immune system. This was in breach of trust given, and upset J quite a bit.
H had made plans to hangout with a friend that night, and essentially left the cat in a carrier in her room, and told J she'd likely be back by 1 AM that night, and if she could watch the cat. J had work at 7 AM, but agreed.
H got drunk and never came home that night. Meanwhile, the kitten she adopted was mewling all night across J's room and upsetting her essentially. The 4-week old kitten was comforted and likewise, and could fit into your cupped hands. It got stuck under a door once even, escaping it's carrier. It could've been bad or worse. I'm mildly upset at it.
But likewise; I own a pet I keep in my room too, who rarely scratches at the door sometimes. I can understand a cat left to their own devices can be fine, they can be solitary creatures seemingly. But given how young the kitten was and how it needed constant attention, it felt very rough for J to both look after H's kitten after everything, and for H to disappear after saying she'd return. Likewise J didn't want the cat to be harmed. She'd leave it be for intermittent periods but would check in on it every half-hour to hour.
So on this side of the topic; I feel J is beyond validated.
But it evolved.
J elected to lash out at H over this. Sending 20+ text messages in the same day; threatening to get the cat into a Vet, or Humane Shelter due to what had happened and the seeming neglect, so on and forth. Hollow threats she claims to provoke H into caring more, but ultimately still made and essentially this was on the first day of owning the kitten. I don't feel H was given an opportunity or time to process or adjust from her day's decision, and was bombarded immensely with hateful messages that tore her down.
Ultimately, this led to H giving her cat away, but she refuses to apologize, and their friendship essentially broke. H's ability to take accountability is tremendously limited and often leans toward victimization at times, but I empathized with her because J can be absolutely vitriolic, toxic, and poisonous when her anger oversteps her rationality.
Ultimately H feels like moving out in some regards due to it. But the talk about J's feelings toward H; the disdain, annoyance, and likewise low-opinion J holds due to this, has caused H to recluse some toward J further. And ultimately time has passed, between shouting at one another, to text messages, to H seeking refuge in friends and drink, to J having a operation around this time and spending time recuperating from it. Which opened a bridge of concern from H, that I hoped would maybe lead them to talking it out. Because the two can be good at it.
But ultimately when J relented enough to offer the Olive Branch, H rejected it. Which is her right. Civility after the initial moments had been somewhat restored, life moved on, they weren't friends but they could mostly live with one another.
Which led J spiraling into an angry tirade that was primarily meant to tear down H again, and did so by praying on trauma H had. Because J wanted to ensure all bridges were burnt down.
I'm stuck in the middle on this and it's aggravating me.
H refuses to even so much as budge in admitting fault, but I honestly don't think leaving your kitten alone at home is necessarily a bad idea on paper; since many animals are often left alone and while not the greatest situation can still be fine. She already has to work an 8-hour+ job some days, and would be relying on us in the interim for feline-care, until the cat was grown, had her shots, and was allowed to roam the house and have some more freedom. And likewise she had made plans, and got carried away. I can honestly chalk up her decisions to inexperience and bad decision-making and feel in some respects she deserves some grace. Likewise J's treatment of her, personal attacks, threats to get the Cat put into a Vet after one day, and likewise were it me in her shoes it would make me reconsider ownership of the cat as well, and likewise would make me very unreceptive toward any sort of relationship with J.
But as I said; H throughout all of this didn't apologize, and took solely to defending her decisions, justifying her rationale in them, and ultimately even on the things she did wrong that led to the situation developing, doesn't relent.
J meanwhile, I can see the frustration on. She is earnestly trying to get H to be accountable. She helped tremendously toward even getting the cat, and offered a lot of help throughout the process. She had her own cat endangered recklessly despite several warnings (in a very avoidable way that you'd deliberately have to do otherwise), and likewise was sent to work without sleep caretaking for a kitten that she had only volunteered for a few hours for. Much the same, the kitten was essentially in distress and abandoned in the first day, which raised a few questions about the responsibility and future events arising alike to that.
But; I feel that while J deserves to be told that in several respects she was right, that her grievances toward H erupted in such a manner that it was absolutely disrespectful, and painful, and likewise manipulative in the worst of ways.
I've no idea what to do in this case, because I'd like both Renters to sort of hash it out, and be done with it, but obviously not happening per se. But I'm also conflicted on the topic. I don't know if the kitten left alone is a massive deal and red flag for future neglect on the first day, or if it was acceptable to take time away from the kitten given how it would be left alone anyway when she worked. but after two days I realised I do not need those so planning to do - sudo apt remove texlive-full and install texliveonfly instead.
I am using Ubuntu 22.04 LTS editing by latex files with VimTex. i know these doesn't matter, but still. Is there any compatibility issues of texliveonfly with Ubuntu 22.04 ?
And what are your personal advice should I go for it?

Currently I've downloaded Watch_Dogs 2 on Steam and I'm able to launch it via my Steam Library, I've also downloaded it to my Deck and force compatibility using Proton Experimantal, I've also checked my cloud save settings are turned on, but whenever I go to play it on PC (I've been playing primarily on Deck), the game doesn't seem to pick up save data of any kind. Is there some basic/complex step I'm missing to get my cloud saves working seamlessly? I've not had issues with my other games between PC and Deck, but I assume this game being Ubisoft is what's creating these complications!
I've looked online but there seem to be a myriad of things that do or don't work, nothing concrete :(

After updating to driver version 31.0.101.5522, Discord crashed a few seconds after attempted startup. I reinstalled Discord and deleted the discord config files to no avail. I messed around with arc control settings just in case something there could be causing the issue and it turns out that it did. The "Game Compatibility" setting under "Global Game Settings" crashed Discord everytime if it was set to "Advanced". Changing this to basic fixed it immediately and Discord booted up fine. Posting here in case anyone else has the same issue.
Note: Using the Question flair as nothing else really fits. Adding a "Tech support" flair might be a good idea

Now that a couple of years has passed since the Fandom's acquisition of Gamepedia and the new Fandom visual look (such as the dreaded sidebar), I think it would be a good to time to get a retrospective look on the aftermath of these changes. I would like to also add that many Fandom wikis have been now abandoned as the active contributors moved to Wiki.GG, and while I would like to remain unbiased in this reflective essay, I have to say that they made the right decision by ditching Fandom.
It is impossible to ignore Fandom's greatest issue: The ads. While I and many other users run an adblocker, I decided to test a few Fandom wikis without and compare the expirience to that of Wiki.GG. And I'll have to say, the diffrence was MASSIVE. While WIki.GG had a few ads, they were generally unobtrusive and were only advertisements for video games, and did not affect the load times in any way, shape or form. But Fandom on the other hand... Oh boy... It was truly an ungodly expirience, which I do not wish upon even my worst enemies. Except maybe for the folks at Fandom who are responsible for this underworldly abomination. It took on average between 1.5 and 2 minutes just to load half of a wiki page. On wiki.GG it took 2 seconds at most.
But when it loaded... Oh my... It was a sight to behold, and not in a good way, let me tell you. The whole site was covered in massive, flashing commercials. There were multiple banners, some anchored to diffrent sides of the screen, others not, advertising for online gambling sites (even though they are illegal in my country), with backgrounds of raining coins and massive pulsating buttons reading "play now". When I tried pressing the "x" on the corner of one of the advertisements, I noticed that there were two of them and I clicked on the wrong one. This caused a slow, laggy redirect to a dodgy, barebones betting site which was highly contrasted by the cheeriful, overdesigned ad. The site starts automatically downloading an .exe file, but I manage to stop it just before it finishes.
I closed the gambling site and when I switched toi the fandom page, my broweser (firefox) crashed. I decided to give Fandom another ruddy good shot with Google Chrome this time, figuring thatr maybe Firefox is not compatable with fandom. This time Fandom took only around 1.5 minutes to load, but it was full of ads again, which kept on switching into other ads. There also was an autoplaying video that scrolled with the screen, which never loaded. There was literally a giant black box with a loading icon that covered 30% of the screen while never loading and never giving an button to close it. The wiki was laggy and more that 50% of the whole screen was covered in ads. It was the first time I had even reen a wiki scroll bar rubberband. And I have an Nvidia series X graphics card and an Lntel i5 core deluxe kernel.
Then the sidebar. I swear by the Old Lord's Oathsword that that thing was created just to annoy the (redacted) out of wiki users, espicially those who run dark mode (like me). It is insufferably colored, with bright red and neon yellow, two colors that animals in nature use to signify that they are lethally toxic. It has a giant arrow, with the text "new" pointing to "fan central". Which I clicked curiously. It led me to a hellhole filled with ads, anime wikis and laggy autoplaying videos (seriously I never got one to load, I even left my computer afk for 20 minutes and when I came back the loading icon was still spinning). When I clicked on the first gaming wiki I saw (which was the Terraria wiki), I noticed that it had been vandalized, with most pinned articles being full of nonsense like "skibidi", "69" and "dryad's shower". I had played the game recently and know none of that is actually in it. When I scrolled to the bottom of the article, massive images of anime characters started showing up amongst other articles and links to unrelated wikis.
All in all, I have to say that Fandom wikis suck ass. They are truly THE WORST. I swear by the shadow of Deathwing's wings that I will never, EVER touch another Fandom wiki article as long as I am alive, even if it means enduring the pear of anguish.
TL;DR Fandom sucks, don't use it, use wiki.GG instead.

 | I don't know if this is the same with other base versions of the talent but based on the fact that the mag briefly shows 120 rounds tells me the talent isn't working correctly when combined with magazine increase bonuses. Throwaway account because this is weird for me. I [19F] have been having thoughts that I may not be in love with my girlfriend [18NB]. We met through some mutual friends and bonded over our football rivalries (I'm an Arsenal fan, they're a Chelsea fan), I am in my first year of uni and they are graduating high school this year. Don't get me wrong I love them very much, but I'm now having thoughts that I may not be IN love with them. We have been together for 6 months now, and at the start of our relationship I would spend hours messaging them, checking my phone constantly to see if they replied and smiling at every single message. Now that I'm caught up in uni work, and they're caught up in their Year 12 exams, I find myself forgetting to message them, losing track of time and end up only sending a couple messages a day. I feel very guilty about this but I always get distracted and message them about the same amount as I message my friends. My girlfriend does not have their license and we live an hours drive apart, and I am not officially out to my parents yet, so it always ends up me going over to their house, and we mostly just watch shows or tiktok together. I have met most of their friends, but they have only met some of mine as my friends are now mostly only free at night when we go to bars, as well as the fact that their parents won't drive them out my way and won't let me drive them because I don't have my full license. Their parents are pretty strict so we've only slept over a couple of times, but we also haven't had sex yet. I won't go into it but I was sexually assaulted when I was younger by someone I trusted, however I don't think this is the reason we haven't had sex. I think I am asexual, but the big issue is that they are a hypersexual person. The issue I run into is with patching Contractors, for compatability. It will run for a moment then sait it failed and was unable to uninstall it.

Since the latest kernel version (6.9) my onboard speakers started working (the bottom speakers do, the top speakers still don't but it doesn't really bother me, I've been using the laptop for half a year without sound output so it's still an improvement.) and I was hoping my microphone would too, but it's still broken.
A colleague of mine has the exact same model but is running Ubuntu. He has a working microphone so I'd guess it's a configuration issue. I'm running Pipewire, and my input source defaults to the output of my device. So everyone in call is able to hear what my computer is outputting instead of it taking my microphone. The only input visible in pavucontrol is "Monitor of Built-in Audio Analog Stereo".
