I’m so tired of being f*cked by DCF

2023.10.10 15:46 PaleOverlord I’m so tired of being f*cked by DCF

I’m so tired of being f*cked by DCF
I had to recertify for SNAP by September 30th. I did that on August 31st. I submitted all the information they requested and woke up this morning with a denial letter. I called the case worker number in the letter and left a voicemail as politely as I could. I was on hold with the interview line this morning but had to take my kids to school so jumped back on when I got home. I’ve been on hold for about 35 minutes now. (Just connected while typing this out)
They do this to me every time I need to recertify. I always submit the recertification before it’s due and every time they come back with “I didnt submit the information requested.”
And I’ve been complying with child support but for some reason they keep saying I’m not. I just spoke to child support and they said everything is good on their end but they will send a notice to review to see if there’s something missing.
Had to flair this as politics for some reason.

2020.08.11 22:12 ExCap2 Florida Food Benefits (SNAP) -- $600 Stopped, You Should Re-Apply

Just a reminder that there are probably people here who may have gotten kicked off of food benefits because you were making too much due to the $600 a week additional federal money. It's stopped. You can re-apply for Food Benefits again here: https://www.myflorida.com/accessflorida/
When it gets to Income, Enter Unemployment Compensation under Other. Just put whatever you're getting bi-weekly, choose the bi-weekly pay rate option and you should be good. Use what you're getting now. The $600 in the past should not be entered anywhere in the application.

2020.08.11 17:53 ExCap2 [OTHER] FOOD BENEFITS - ALL STATES

If you got knocked off of food benefits because you were making too much (receiving the $600 a week); the $600 a week is over. Don't forget to re-sign up for food benefits! You'll probably get something again. They'll knock you off again eventually if Congress ever gets their act together and passes something again. But for now; you should qualify again!
Something to note: Walmart accepts EBT Cards for Online Grocery Ordering. You can do Pickup or Delivery. If you do delivery, you'd have to pay cash in addition for the delivery fee.
Keep in mind you can apply for other services other than just Food Benefits through your state government's website. Cash Assistance, Medicaid, other various things. If one of these links doesn't get you to somewhere specific that you need; just google your state SNAP apply application and it should bring up a few results.

IMPORTANT NOTICE #1: YOU MUST CERTIFY WEEKS TO GET PAYMENT NOW STARTING THE WEEK OF MAY 10TH. You have until May 17th to certify the week of May 10th and then it should be back to the bi-weekly certification period where you certify the previous two weeks at a time, every two weeks.

Certifying Weeks Guide: http://www.floridajobs.org/docs/default-source/reemployment-assistance-centeguide-for-reemployment-assistance-claiming-weeks.pdf?sfvrsn=928046b0_2

IMPORTANT NOTICE #2: Request To Modify Claim (Application) Filing Effective Date: https://claimdate.myflorida.com/recertification - If you intend to apply for Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA), you do not need to request a modification to your claim filing date. If you do request to backdate your application prior to April 5, 2020, pursuant to the requirements of the CARES Act, 20 C.F.R. 625.4, and section 443.036 F.S., you may be required to file another application before you can submit your PUA application. You can only change the claim to a date between March 9th, 2020 and April 9th, 2020.

IMPORTANT NOTICE #3: All regular Florida State unemployment claims will be back dated to March 9th, 2020 or forward depending on when you lost your job/furloughed because of the website issues. Don't back date your claim date if you intend to apply for Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA).

IMPORTANT NOTICE #4: If you applied on April 4th, 2020 or before and are marked ineligible, you may be eligible for PUA, PLEASE FOLLOW THIS FLOW CHART: http://www.floridajobs.org/docs/default-source/reemployment-assistance-centecares-act/pua-cares-act-need-to-know-flowchart-042720.pdf?sfvrsn=a3b746b0_4 and application is here: http://www.floridajobs.org/cares-act IF YOU'RE INELIGIBLE AGAIN AFTER RE-APPLYING, THE PUA LINK WILL SHOW UP 24-48 HOURS LATER TO SIGN UP FOR IT.

IMPORTANT NOTICE #5: If your Claim Status is Inactive and Monetary Status is Eligible, it did this because weeks weren't claimed. Supposedly FL DEO is fixing this. You probably should wait for more information or let them do their magic. It's an error that happened because they waived claiming weeks.
