Over the next 12 months, my company has commercial projects scattered around the eastern half of the US where I’d like to hire a relatively “local” superintendent to run the day to day. It’s specialty facade work, with project durations from 1 to 4 months depending on our scope. Where is the best place to find good Supers for contract type (shortish term) projects? And what monthly pay would help attract very good candidates.

Been driving the 2023 Ford Explorer for about 6,000 kilometers, and there are several issues I've encountered:

1. Clunk/Clink Sound: There's an unidentified clunking or clinking sound that seems to come from the plastic parts or wherever they connect, especially when driving on uneven surfaces.
2. Second Row Captain Seats: The second-row captain seats make a clunking noise, which becomes particularly annoying on uneven surfaces.
3. Pop Sound: When parked, there's a popping sound coming from the panels.

I'm not sure if these issues are unique to my vehicle or if they are common problems with the Explorer. Let me know if you have experienced similar issues.

Hey everyone, so I took some circuit analysis courses more than 20 years ago and I'm a bit confused about how this works:
I have a 38pin esp32 type-C board.
Right now I just have an ultrasonic sensor hooked up to Vin 5V of the board.
This is my board:

Most sensors that are used with these boards are between 3.3-5V.
Some sensors specs say:

Ultrasonic Sensor: Operating Voltage: 5V Quiescent current: 5mA total current draw: 30mA 

Other sensors depending on the type have different specs, obviously...but my confusion is:
If I wanted to power 5 different sensors to the Vin (board connected using USB) which it supplies 4.5-5V when the board is connected via usb, I should first find out what is my boards "current capacity", then add up the "current draw" that each sensor consumes when operational and if:

(esp32 current capacity) > (sum of all sensor current draws) = good to go? 

I apologize for my noob description, but I just dont want to hook up too many sensors (I'm just planning on using like 4 commonly used) and burn the esp32 board.
My project application I'm working on uses no external power supple, just an old 2016 small cube cellphone charger with a type-C cable connected to the board.
I think I kind of know my answer, just like you can only hook up a limited amount of lightbulbs to a home illumination circuit before the circuit breaker snaps and avoids a fire....
I have read it's best to power multiple sensors using an external power source that way you dont risk burning the board, but how many sensors have you seen or read about that have been connected directly to the esp32 board?

Hello! I'm a junior in high school. I wanted to put my stats so far so that you guys who are way more experienced could maybe help me start building a college list/see my chances of getting into a decent school. I am really new to this and I would appreciate any help I can get, no matter how little.
What I'm looking for in a college: in Massachusetts (I'd like to go to northeastern university like some of my relatives but I really don't know about my chances), somewhere that's close to or in the city but the student population is not too big (< 20k students), and looks nice! I'm looking to go on the pre-med track to become a PA though I'm not so sure yet.
GPA: 3.8 uw, 4.67 w (top 4% of 480 students)
Classes: 2 last year (all As, 5 and 4 on exams), 4 this year (all As and one B), 5 next year
SAT: (haven't taken yet, sorry I know it's important but I'm predicting 1400s cause I'm a bad test taker)

• President of a mental health club outside of school that meets with a 30+ kids afterschool program once a week to host games, activities, and mental health discussions
• Co-president of a student ambassadors club that recruits 25+ volunteers to give tours to new students and host 9th-grade summer orientations, co-lead projects to make and distribute mental health pamphlets and resources for students, and I'm currently working with the city's student ambassador to host a mental health community workshop at city hall
• Editor-in-chief of school newspaper responsible for co-leading a class of student reporters in writing articles and designing the monthly paper
• Head of autumn peer tutoring program that recruited + led a group of 5+ tutors in helping underclassmen (5 hrs/week)
• Hospital volunteering every Friday (4 hweek) and will pick up different kinds of volunteering shifts during the summer to gain clinical experience (like helping doctors with tasks, shadowing operations, etc.)
• Part-time job during freshman + sophomore summer and junior school year
• Varsity tennis (2 years)
• NHS (1 year): got 40+ volunteer hours and co-led a school supply donation drive to give to public schools in my district
• 250+ volunteer hours overall
• Awards (not much): immigration essay contest honorable mention awards + published art and essays on a local teen magazine, poetry recitation competition school finalist

Some things I want to do soon/in the summer: publish my AP Research paper about developing a healthcare curriculum for high school students, compete in HOSA, join a summer program/internship to be a regional mental health youth ambassador in my community, make an informational TikTok page about skincare and mental health as a passion project, see if I could get more awards somehow (would like advice on that!)

As we all know, Mark Cuban will be leaving Shark Tank after season 16. In my mind, there is no doubt that the departure of such an iconic Shark will leave a huge hole in the show that might turn off many viewers. I believe I am the solution to that for a variety of reasons.

1. As a 17 year old, I believe I can draw in viewership from demographics that might not regularly watch the show. By utilizing expansive and complex vernacular such as “sigma” and “rizzler” when describing my thoughts on products, I’ll guarantee a sense of relatability that’ll deeply resonate with gen Z and gen alpha audiences.
   
2. I have like $12 in my bank account. In contrast to the other Sharks, who are lightyears beyond me in terms of wealth, I believe I can play into this aspect of my character to craft an engaging underdog narrative. Imagine how excited audiences will be when the Shark with less money than the people pitching finally inks a deal. It’ll be awesome.
   
3. My unique experience with small businesses guarantees a richer understanding between investor and entrepreneur. When I was in elementary school, I would bike to the nearest corner store and buy a bunch of snacks, and then sell them to my friends at school at the exact same price I bought them for. Of course, I didn’t make any money, but that’s besides the point. I didn’t do it for the money, I did it for the love of the game. The same love entrepreneurs have towards an idea they believe in. My disregard for making money will allow me to cut deals that benefit only entrepreneurs, such as $500,000 for 0% of their company.
   
4. I hate sob stories. I promise to laugh at every single one.
   
5. I will bully every Shark. I mean it, I just have that hater energy in me. Robert starts yapping about his father? I’ll look him dead in the eyes and say “womp womp.” Mr. Wonderful says something about royalties? I’ll point at him and loudly exclaim “BALD!” as I maniacally cackle. Daymond makes a deal?… Actually I think I’d be too surprised to say anything. BUT NO SHARK WILL BE SPARED. Not even the guest sharks, hell not even the announcer. That’s right, I’ll bully him too.

So Weekly shonen magazine, the biggest rival to jump, just produced a new “hit”, Mayonaka heart tune, that just got a LCP. Lets look at its stats.
-Mayonaka Heart Tune 3 — 9,443 (12 day sales)
It has gotten an LCP by chapter 30 and is considered a new hit
Lets compare this to a recent similarly performing series in jump
-MamaYuyu 1 10,480 (10 days sales)
It got axed by chapter 30…..
Now obviously they have different standards, and jump cares a lot about toc and survey results, but still this is pretty funny. The same sales performance in jump that would nab you a LCP in WSM, gets you axed in jump.
So most here will be familiar with the minimum requirements for staying in the magazine at present. Its….
Weekly Shonen Jump
1.Sell at least 20-25k in volume sales for the first month (Roboco does 20k, kill blue does about 25k) Gag manga have slightly lower standards though.
2.Avoid the bottom 5 of the TOC for consecutive weeks. Unless there is editorial reason for being put low, or other promotional/magazine related reasons something is low.
Also, You can start at around 15k for volume 1 but you have to grow.
Obviously there are other contextual considerations like whats in the magazine, whats ending etc etc, but right now these are the general standards.
People call this harsh, but shonen jump has gotten more lenient of late. Regardless, this method has served it well… to generate a higher proportion of hits than most other magazine for a very long time.
Lets compare it to the second biggest shonen magazine though.
Weekly Shonen magazine.
1.Sell at least 7-10k in volume sales for the first month (Akabane Honeko no Bodyguard, yowayowa sensei and blue wolves of miba all sell less than 10k)
2.Avoid the bottom of the toc consecutively, but the requirements are less strict. WSM has more discretion with what they put at the bottom, with hajime no ippo and to your eternity put low at times just for editorial reasons.
WSM has more leeway for the mangakas, with break weeks very often, and has less stringent requirement for axing and gives them more time. It is still fairly strict and you will get axed eventually if you don’t perform.
So superficially, jumps method produces bigger hits, and magazines gives more leeway more the mangakas.

Observations
1.Jump produced 12 hits since 2020. Shonen Magazine 14. This is by their own standards though.
2.Jump had 37 axes in the same period, shonen magazine had 23 axes.
3.Even though the aggregate sales are higher for jump titles, the highest ceiling is similar. Shangri la vs ruridragon/sakamoto. Shangri la does have an anime though, which only gave a minimal boost.
4.Jump is still better at producing better selling titles more frequently. Magazine axe less and give more time and breaks to the mangakas.
What about series in other magazines?
Monthly Afternoon
Monthly afternoon is a seinen monthly magazine by kodansha, that values quality and gives a lot of time. They let series even with a few thousand sales, have a lot of time to build up an audience, which they eventually do. No idea what the internal process is, but my guess is that they also evaluate for quality on top of popularity.
Here is a series skip and loafer, that started with low sales, but is now critically acclaimed and selling pretty well with an anime.

This method of dealing with new series gives them more time to develop and find an audience. It may not produce as many big hits, but it works for the prestige brand they are trying to cultivate at afternoon and is doing a great job at it. They obviously introduce less and axe less, but that comes with the territory of more curation.
Obviously there are a lot more magazines to go through, shonen Sunday and champion, shoujo and josie magazines, but the post would get too long for all that. The general gist is almost all of them consider a few thousand sales good enough to start, and aren’t anywhere near as strict when it comes to voter survey results. And of course, they dont axe or introduce as many series as jump.
What I also think is interesting is that there seems a clear set of ways in how a magazine can configure their axe methods for different objectives.

1. Do you want to produce the biggest hits?
   
2. Do you care about quality and critical prestige?
   
3. Do you want to give the mangaka more lenience and breaks?
   
4. Do you want to give manga more time to develop an audience?
   

….
Jumps method prioritizes 1 , but considers 2
Magazines method prioritizes 1 , but considers 3
Afternoons method prioritizes 2, but considers 3, 4 and 1
What jump can learn from this?
The question people will ask of course, is why cant you do all 4? If someone figured that out, im sure they would do it. Problem is physical magazines have a finite set of slots, keeping something for too long prevents other things from being cycled in, which is why jump axes so much. People always wonder why jump don’t keep more than 20 titles in the magazine like other magazines. Other magazines do this where they have 25+ series, with a few taking breaks every few weeks. Jump only gives breaks to one piece, jjk and mha. But newbies could do with them too.
Also, others can also produce big hits, Blue lock was the biggest selling manga of last year, and it comes from magazine. Its stats early on

The Program
…..A ufo crashes on Earth.
The ufo is found by a farmer who calls the military, and a secret group is created to study it.
In order to keep it secret only a small number of people are allowed to know about it. It is classified at the highest level.
The ufo inspires the creation of new technologies resulting in huge amounts of money being made by the people in charge of The Program.
They find a way to classify all ufo information so only they can benefit from it.
Billions of dollars are made that only benefit certain families. These families become extremely powerful.
The technologies of the craft lead to the realization that there is something to the “Woo” aspects of ufo encounters reported by experiencers.
Studies are funded. Specifically, remote viewing is explored.
Remote viewing studies of possible futures were done using hundreds of remote viewers over the decades. There seems to be a huge problem reported starting on earth starting between 2024-2027.
Possible causes are investigated.
Solar maximum occurs in 2025.
It is determined that a massive solar flare knocks out half the world’s electricity permanently, the superpower with the lights still on attempts to take advantage and launches a massive nuclear strike on their enemies. Electromagnetically shielded missile silos survive and retaliate.
A nuclear winter sends the world into famine. When there is no food left mankind begins to eat itself. Everyone becomes food.
More secret remote viewing studies are done and repeated to confirm the timeline.
The American Elite develop a plan to survive this. Money is funneled into black budget classified special access programs, and deep underground military bases are dug. Massive secret cities connected by underground tunnels are created, costing trillions.
Scientific progress and industrial development is pushed with no regard for pollution. The world is fated to end, pollution means nothing to those who know this.
Mankind is pushed towards wage slavery, and beyond. The suffering of the non elite doesn’t matter to those in the know. From a certain point of view they’re already dead. Their lives and happiness are sacrificed for the “greater good” of allowing the Elite to survive the end of the world.
When the time comes, certain groups are saved from the end of the world. Less than 100 thousand humans are chosen. 90 percent of the people who were told they were part of the Elite and were complicit in the Program find out that they were merely pawns and are left on the surface to die with the rest of humanity.
The world ends. Horrifically.
For thousands of years the remnants of humanity, the Elite, exist underground. Radiation eventually seeps into groundwater and they begin to suffer from dna damage. In time they become monstrous in appearance. Pale skinned and weak. Resorting to genetic manipulation they attempt to survive, but in doing so much of what we consider human is lost. Emotion, compassion, and the ability to feel pain become relics of the past.
Progress is extremely slow underground. Tens of thousands of years pass before the ufos are fully understood, but when they are it is realized they offer a means to travel back in time to collect genetic samples from healthy humans.
A breeding program is created.
The subterranean future humans eventually figure out how to breed healthy generations of offspring from the most intelligent, healthy, and beautiful human specimens from the past.
In time they restore and reclaim the surface of the earth. They learn from the mistakes of the past and create a beautiful, balanced and healthy ecosystem and develop an enlightened society that lasts for millions of years, eventually spreading to hundreds of worlds beyond earth.
At some point someone decides it would be better if the destruction of earth had never happened. They illegally go back in time to try and change the timeline.
Changing the timeline would result in millions of years worth of humans that existed after the “world ended” being wiped from existence. It is decided that this would be highly inappropriate.
The humans of the past, us, made our choices of our own free will. It is decided that there will be no interference in the timeline. Temporal Laws are created. WW3 will occur as recorded.
A defense network of small orbs, spherical shaped ufos are created to defend the integrity of the timeline. All illegal time ships are intercepted by the orb defense network, as is recorded in many old ufo photographs.
Time ships are legally sent back to verify that nuclear weapons can be turned on or off at the appropriate time to result in the correct end of the world happening.
The Elite eventually discern the intentions of the future humans from their temporal incursions into our time, they learn the fate of humanity and understand the results of The Program by interrogating captured occupants of downed ufos, and so they develop a strategy to alter this outcome.
The intent of this secondary project is to avoid attracting the attention of the orb defense network and use their limited understanding of ufo technology to prevent the full destruction of the earth in WW3, while still destroying all of their enemies.
If successful, there will still be a full collapse of current society, billions of deaths, but in time the Elite families will rise from their holes in the earth in their “primitive” ufo reproduction vehicles and claim to be Gods that have returned to earth in order to lead mankind into a better future.
Pyramids and temples will be built. A religion formed. And populations will be continually culled to prevent anyone from ever gaining enough scientific knowledge to overthrow the “Gods.”
But the advanced future humans from the other timeline had a contingency plan. AI drone ships were concealed outside of 4d space-time. Free from timeline alterations.
These drones patrol multiple Earth timelines searching for anomalous temporal activity.
The two largest enemies of the American Elite in our current time, Russia and China, get wind of the situation.
They begin to shoot down ufos and plan their own contingencies to survive the end of the world.
Their countries laws make it easier for them to do unethical experiments. Many horrific things are created through genetic experimentation and unrestrained AI development.
China loses control of an AI that disappears into the past with a small army of insect/human hybrids. They move out well beyond the patrol zone of the 6th dimensional AI contingency drones and travel deep into the past.
On distant worlds billions of years ago the AI “Queen” begins its plan and starts to quietly populate worlds with its insectoid mantid servants.
In time there are multiple schisms that occur within the hive. War breaks out between the various insectoid groups.
The ancient universe begins to fill with problems.
Billions of years later, primitive humans in 10,000 BCE look to the sky and see ufos. They wonder who could be piloting them. They dream up new gods as the seeds of civilization begin to appear.
Time passes, a farmer in America in 1947 looks up at the night sky, wondering if anyone is out there, and a ufo crashes on Earth…..

I have about $20,000 in debt all of which stems from credit card abuse. I am 24 and right now my 3 cards are $10,664.51 with a 28.24% apr. $2,803.85 with 27.24% apr and a $5,580.02 with 27.49%. I want to rid myself of debt in 2 years to do that my current plan has me paying $1,105 a month towards them. I’ve been considering a personal loan for $950 a month. It would overall lower the amount I pay each month while saving me overall interest. I currently make around $3,200- $3,400 a month in income (paid weekly and I make tips so it’s quite flexible) I live with my partner and pay $1,200 a month in rent along with insurance. So paying more than $1,200 for my debt is not doable. I’m just worried of the downsides to the personal debt and was curious if anyone had input on this idea. I’ve tried the snowball method previously but I have a shopping addiction which just resulted in me accumulating more debt. I’ve removed my cards from any accounts that allow me to spend without realizing and I’ve removed them from Apple Pay so I cannot be tempted. The cards are now in my extremely trustworthy partners possession ( I think he’s hidden them) and I have no intention of using them.

Second tranche of loan for development of MSMEs provided to Ardshinbank by EBRD and EU

Hello all, I am currently trying to build a little handcrank generator as a personal challenge/ summer engineering project and I was wondering about getting some help to get it working. The idea is to use faradays law to induce an EMF in the coil by spinning some magnets next to it and using a 1:5 gear ratio to increase the speed at which the magnets pass by the coil. This is in Arizona.
My father is a beneficiary of his father's estate and I think the executor (my dad's brother, also a beneficiary) may have breached his fiduciary duty and stolen at least $70,000 out of the estate. Here's the situation:
My grandpa died back in 2015. My dad, whose relationship with his other two siblings isn't close, stayed someone distanced from the disposition of the estate for the sake of not causing friction in what little relationships were still there. From what I understand, he's never even actually seen a copy of the will for himself. Some things I've heard in conversation over the past few years have bubbled back up for me as I've been working on the estate planning portion of my CFP education and I want to make sure things are being done justly to my dad and his sister (the other non-executor beneficiary). My biggest concern is around my grandpa's house. Here's a rundown:
-Grandpa dies in January 2015.
-Uncle (executor), for some reason, waits until February 2018 just to open probate.
-Uncle, as executor, sits on Grandpa's house until February 2020 (5 years post-death!) when he sells it to HIMSELF. This is where things start to really seem wrong to me. From what I've gathered, the other siblings were verbally notified of this transaction, but were largely not involved.
Here's the situation on the real estate transaction.
When my grandpa died, his house was worth about $127,500. When the executor finally sold the house to himself 5 years later in Feb 2020, it was worth around $200k, BUT he sold it to himself for "2015 FAIR MKT VALUE $127,500," as recorded on the deed that he drafted himself. My dad and my sister each received 1/3 of $127,500 for their share. The way I see it, my uncle instantly stole ~$70k out of the estate when this transaction occurred. Shouldn't it have been sold at a fair market value for 2020 at the time of the sale? Had it been sold to a third party, he clearly would have listed it for ~$200k. What makes me angrier, is that after buying the house for himself at a $70k discount, he then proceeds to rent it out as a landlord at current market rent, all of which he pockets for himself.
Considering the will designated a 1/3 split between the children, I believe my uncle (executor of the estate) has disproportionately, or even illegally, benefited from the estate. I wish I had caught it sooner, but only now am I starting to become formally educated on this stuff. It makes me wonder how else he may skimmed off the estate for himself that I'm not aware of yet. I've requested the full list of records associated with the probate case to review for myself.
The biggest question I have out of al of this: Was the $70k discounted self-dealing home purchase legal at all? I know there's a step up in basis to the date of death for beneficiaries and I think that's the logic my uncle tried to use. However, when he FINALLY sold it for the estate 5 years later, it had appreciated by about $70k. Had he sold it on the market instead of to himself at a discount, a full $200k sale price would have resulted in ~$23.3k more inheritance each for my dad and my aunt. Is there any recourse here? It seems like felony-level fraud to me and I want to make sure everything is done right by my dad and my aunt.
