I haven't built a PC in more than 5 years so I am completely out of the loop. I need help with what components to buy please. My dad's current (5-10 year old) PC won't power on and he wants to get a new system instead of fixing the old one.

I had been looking at one of the AMD 7600 packages on Canada Computers and adding a RTX 4060 :/

I'm a Frontend Developer, I made this mobile app as a side project to help my coding and design skills. It's been very humbling, as I've realised it's way harder to get something looking good than I thought. The screenshots are from the app itself, I didn't really use Figma, which was probably my first mistake.
I want to have a green colour scheme for my app, since it's about Ireland. The screenshots of the apps on the right are the kind of aesthetic I'm going for. One of them has a slightly blue-ish background, and then the elements are white and curved. That's what I was trying to copy with my green background. I think I've made it way TOO green though.
Some of the other screens look really amateur-ish too, but I'm not sure exactly why. Is it the spacing, the font sizes, or the colours, or a bit of everything. The two screens that show the results, mainly. I think the red and green text looks really bad, but then, it kind of makes sense that correct answers would be green, and wrong answers red.
I want to spend the next few weeks making it look way better. I've downloaded a few books about Design and been watching videos, but I'd love to hear any advice you people have too.

I'm also looking at the BOOX Tab Mini C... which, essentially being an e-Ink Android tablet... will allow me to download ANY application from the PlayStore, including the Kindle app, and VOILA... no fuss, no muss, I can read my Kindle books/comics.

Actually that leads me to another question... can I read my Amazon purchased COMICS on the Libra... or like regular novels, would I need to strip/convert them?

Anyway the Tab Mini C is more expensive at $400, (I can afford this, but do I want to?).

The Kobo Libra Colour is $220 + $30'ish for a DRM Strip/Convert software tool.

So, for an extra $150... no fuss, no muss, and I can, if I want to, download various Android apps <-- though I have 2x flagship tablets and a phone, so I'd probably never do this to be honest.

My question is, are you able to annotate/highlight pdfs that are downloaded this way, or are they view only? It seems reasonable that they should be, but I haven't seen it done in any reviews etc so I wanted to make sure!
The biggest reason I would need it is that I am a knitter, and like to have my patterns on my devices and highlight/cross out as I go, so I was hoping I'd be able to use the Libra instead of my phone!

My husband and I got married about a year ago and have been together for six years. I became pregnant quite quickly, and I gave birth to twin girls about four weeks ago. Thankfully neither of them needed to stay in the hospital for longer than normal, which is rare for twins and I am so happy they're healthy. They were born naturally so I don't have the surgical wound or anything which has made things easier, although the whole thing was not a great experience. But once they were born, everything had seemed to be okay. Except they just wouldn't breastfeed.
I've tried, I really have. I've talked to all my doctors, I've done everything they said but it just doesn't work and it hurts as well. They both hate it, and I don't think I'm even producing enough for both of them because when they will feed, they get really hungry and cry soon afterwards. I've tried absolutely everything to make it work but it just doesn't and they'll either refuse or not have enough. I told my husband I can't do this anymore, and he said that I should talk to my doctors but it's probably a phase. And once they're hungry enough, they'll feed because that's what they'd been doing. Also that it's far healthier for them to be breast fed and that we shouldn't just switch because they're being picky.
He does look after the babies with me and it's fairly evenly split throughout the day, but I've been getting up every night to try and feed them when they're hungry but it's just not working. Eventually I told my doctor I was doing everything I could but they just wouldn't feed. They checked both of the babies for things that may be affecting this, but there was nothing. So she said just to move to formula, and that I've done the best I could do and it was better at this point to use formula instead because then they'll be getting enough and not be waking up so often in the night. I told my husband what the doctor said and that we need to switch because the babies going hungry so often could have lasting effects on them in the future and I don't want to affect their development.
He disagreed, but the babies were starting to cry again and still not wanting to feed, so I called my doctor about everything I would need, what I would need to do. I went and got those things and they actually fed, and slept much better in the night. One of them was still a little fussy but once she had some she was so much better and drank the whole thing. It was such a relief that I could finally sleep for a bit and they've been far happier for the last couple of days once I switched to formula. But I wasn't feeling well so I asked my husband if he could feed them one night so I could sleep for the night. He still has parental leave, so he doesn't have work or anything that would be affected by that. But he said that I chose to go against him without a proper conversation or agreement and so I should be responsible for feeding them still.
It upsets me that he holds something like this over me when I tried the best I could to have them breastfeed. They just won't, and I've tried everything. It doesn't make any sense forcing them to go hungry when they will have formula, and they're both much happier now. I was talking to my mother, as she's going to be coming with my father to see the babies soon and I was telling her that I was really tired. She said she can help me once she comes to see them with the babies and their feeds at night but I'm already so tired and sore and I wish my husband could help me now.
But he said it's a waste of money and that I should be feeding them like a normal person and that's what I'm naturally supposed to do. It makes me feel awful because I've tried so hard to do that, but I just can't. They're his babies too and it would help so much if he could feed them at night sometimes, even just once a week. I know other women have gone through much worse and what I'm dealing with is not that stressful but it really is a lot and I just wish I could have a night's sleep for once instead of having to be awake so much and I know I'm lucky but it's really hard and it's becoming a bit too much. I don't know how to find any kind of compromise with him when it comes to the feeds at night and it's making it difficult.

Suspicious_Egg_1516: OB nurse here. Your husband is being unreasonable, controlling, and manipulative. He is punishing you for making a decision that actually is yours to unilaterally make because breastfeeding is YOUR BODY. His input is secondary on this. They aren't his breasts, his nipples being sucked on, or his mammary glands not producing enough (VERY common with twins!). Formula isn't a toxic substance that poisons babies. It is a vital alternative in situations like yours.
The biggest concern here is that your husband, rather than support you in what is obviously a difficult but necessary decision, is using the situation as an opportunity to escape shared parenting duties AND blame you! Is he a humongous asshole in other areas of your marriage or life? Because I'm finding it hard to believe that someone this awful is a saint in other aspects. Please consider downloading a free PDF of Why Does He Do That by Lundy Bancroft and reading it while you're giving bottles to the babies. Your husband is either temporarily insane or an emotional abuser.

OOP: That was what my doctor said, that I probably just aren't producing enough and that it's unlikely to change. And the babies hated it most of the time anyway, I don't know why but they just did. And I'd rather give them formula than have them hungry.
He's not normally like this in other aspects, no. I wouldn't have married him if that was the case. He hasn't acted like this before but I think we're both really stressed at the moment and that isn't helping at all.

OOP: They'd likely be fine with it. I just don't want it to be too much for them, me being there with two babies. I'm sure they wouldn't mind but I still don't want to be doing that.
He didn't seem to understand that they were really hungry. And although they would eventually try if they were hungry enough, I don't want to be doing that to them when they should be getting fed enough consistently.

Thank you to everyone who commented on my first post. I took my daughters to my parents, and I have been there for almost a week now. Both of the twins seem to be doing well, and they seem happy, they're five weeks old now. One of them is starting to try and make noises as well, which is a nice change from the crying. I took them to the doctor so they can be checked and they're both healthy and they're growing a bit better now they are having formula. One of them is a little fussy about it, but will still feed.
I've finally been able to sleep properly. I'll feed them at night still, but my mother or father will feed them in the morning, so I can sleep then and sometimes I even get to sleep for nine or ten hours. It's so much better, and I feel like I can enjoy the babies more while they'll still small when I'm not so tired. They've been enjoying sleeping outside now that they're not so hungry all the time anymore, and they don't cry so much. I do feel horrible about letting them go hungry so often when they were little but the doctor said they'll be fine now they're getting enough with formula.
I was worried about frustrating my parents with the babies, but they seem really happy with them there. And the babies don't cry very much now so it isn't so bad. My husband is angry at me, I told him I was going with the babies to my parents but I think he thought I meant just for the day. We've called each other a couple of times and he's said horrible things to me and how he wishes I was dead, but I'll deal with how he feels later when I feel better and know I can manage the babies on my own because they still need regular feeding quite frequently and it's only achievable with my parents helping at the moment.

Your husband’s reaction to you leaving is a major red flag, especially when you consider he would basically rather have seen your babies starve than “allow” you to bottle feed. I really hope you pay attention to how he is behaving, because he is showing you his true colours now.
I really hope you have the strength to pay attention, and do what you need to do to protect your babies from him. I hope you have a village of family & friends who can help you.

• case can't be much taller than 470mm if the io is on top. If the io is not on top, case can be up to 520mm. I've taken into account headroom for top fans blowing outwards.

But the cpu/mobo is a combo deal at memoryexpress for $750, and the memory is available for $135. Any modifications to this list, or a completely new list with proper planning, is very much appreciated. Thanks for your time.

Card #1

• This is my original graphics card, an EVGA 3080ti XC3 ULTRA GAMING edition ordered during the height of pandemic pricing at £1399.99 from CCL.

I had no issues with this card whatsoever, then I got a brand new TV I wanted to hook up to my PC, I had to connect this via HDMI as TVs just don't have displayport ports (yet?). Prior to this I have never even used the HDMI port on my GPU, only two displayport ports for two monitors.
When I connected the TV and played any HDR 4K 120hz content (The absolute limit of HDMI, only possible with a HDMI 2.1 certified cable) I would get random screen blackouts and colour issues, this did not occur on anything other than HDR 4K 120hz content. I noticed that angling the HDMI cable at the GPU end would cause the issue to go away, however gravity caused the cable to sag again and the issues recurred. This lead me to believe that the connection was not perfect, and flaws appear when every byte of data matters.
I tried many different displays and many different 2.1 HDMI cables, all with the same result. I figured my card is still under warranty and I should be able to use the HDMI port without these issues so proceeded to open an advanced RMA (the difference between a regular and advanced RMA is you have to put down the entire cost of purchase as collatoral, then a new product will be sent out before the company receives the original, reducing downtime).

Card #2 (Two weeks from deposit to delivery)

• After an advanced RMA (with a deposit of ~1200 euros that was based on purchase price) I received a new EVGA 3080ti XC3 ULTRA GAMING (the exact same model as my original).

All was well with this new card and the HDMI issues were no longer pressent... for about 2 days, after that I woke up one morning to my PC not POSTing with the white "VGA" light appearing on my motherboard, indicating a GPU issue.
I tried this card with different PCIE cables, I tried reseating the RAM, CPU and repluging everything on the motherboard itself, I tried resetting the CMOS, different ports, nothing. I plop in my old and battle-hardened MSI GTX 970 and the system roars to life without issues. At this point I suspect the card itself is DOA, so I ask my boyfriend if I can use his PC to see if it will boot, it does not. The exact same issue happens in his machine.
So now knowing that I have a dead card, I place another advanced RMA (even though this card is dead, I didn't want to be without a PC whilst they waited on the return).
It was at this point I discovered that EVGA will only send out refurbished models, not brand new ones; this makes sense as they do not produce these cards any more.
They sent me an email stating that they no longer have the EVGA 3080ti XC3 ULTRA GAMING edition in stock, so instead they can offer me a EVGA 3080ti FTW3 ULTRA GAMING edition, I accept.

Card #3 (One week from deposit to delivery)

• The EVGA 3080ti FTW3 ULTRA GAMING edition I received worked totally perfectly... for a grand total of 8 days.

I only really did light gaming during the first 7 days, (Mortal Kombat / Binding of Isaac) and everything seemed to go swimmingly. After this point I started playing more demanding games (Elden Ring / Baldurs Gate 3) and noticed my PC was randomly black screening with a hard crash after an hour or so: non-responsive keyboard LEDs, ctrl+alt+del did nothing etc. I hit up the event viewer to see what error happens at the point of crash:

The description for Event ID 0 from source nvlddmkm cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer. If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event. The following information was included with the event: \Device\Video8 Error occurred on GPUID: 100 The message resource is present but the message was not found in the message table 

Two days of troubleshooting the same old cables, drivers, CMOS etc. (and continuing to blackscreen) later and I finally decide enough is enough, I'll see if it can handle itself under load by doing a stress test, I decided on downloading furmark. It is consistently blackscreening after around 10 seconds in the furmark 1440p preset.

Today

Whilst I am troubleshooting this issue, I start recording evidence for EVGA... Almost Immediately after blackscreening on video at the very start of a furmark test, the machine would no longer POST and presented the exact same symptoms as Card #2. I am now again without a functioning GPU, and have to resort back to my good ol' MSI GTX 970 just so I can use two monitors as I quite literally need this machine for my work (I am a Software Developer). It boots fine with the MSI GTX 970, the "new" EVGA 3080ti FTW3 ULTRA GAMING edition now won't POST no matter what machine it is plugged into, identical to Card #2 completely DOA.
I did also try additionally this time to check the "OC" profile on the GPU PCB and the results were still the same, ruling out a firmware issue.
Now here I am, today, May 10th, ranting on Reddit about this whole situation.

Extra

During the original RMA process, my original card got completely totalled by UPS, I packed it exactly the same way Card #2 was sent to me, same box, same packaging material, even same courier.
Thankfully EVGA are bros and accepted the RMA anyway, but it does mean I can't be sent back my original card with the HDMI issue and just deal with it. So I am shit out of luck and now have to deal with EVGA's atrocious RMA QC. At least I know I am not alone after reading so many threads of people in the exact same situation.
I just hope they can at least refund current market value of the card ~£500-£600 so I can go purchase an identical one from a local store and not have to deal with this any more.

TLDR:

EVGA are still mad bros with great customer service. However the RMA refurbishment QC is severely lacking with no sight of getting better due to an ever dwindling supply.

Thought I'd try and make my laptop run a bit quicker by clearing out the usual, Cookies, Downloads, History etc. Obviously go to log back in to Tradingview.
Now I'm presented with options to logging in with my X account and thought, why not. Now it thinks I'm a new account and my watch list has gone AWOL. OK, don't panic, lets just reset my password, all should be good.... Either I need to disassociate with my X acc some how or start all over again. There is too much work I feel to start all over again. I had all my tickers sorted into colour coded categories with a Live Trade section, up and coming etc...

I got my Mobula7 1s about a week ago, and I've spent every waking hour trying to get it to work. I finally got it up and flying and I flew about 40 packs, broke 2 motors off the frame and broke the antenna. I have more screws and a replacement antenna in the mail. It is even more fun than I was expecting.
If I was more weak of heart, I would have given up on the setup process. I am in IT and my job requires a lot of research, trial and error, and tech research. I was following YouTube videos, but so many settings and things have changed on new updates, I wanted to give my exact setup directions so someone like me can find this and see what I did to get mine to work. Looking back I probably spent...15-18 hours trying to get it all right. I set up and re-set up a lot of things.
**Starting out in FPV Takes a LOT of knowledge and setup of equipment. Follow along and watch ALL of the videos, sometimes multiple times. I found myself finding an answer by re-watching and going over the steps multiple times and catching something I'd missed. This is a time commitment, setting up your quad and your radio is going to take A COUPLE OF HOURS AT LEAST! So get comfortable.
Here's what I started with:
Happymodel Mobula7 1s - Analog 0802 20k X12 ELRS
Radiomaster Pocket (I wish now I had started with a Boxer, but I will probably save for a Boxer Max. For $65, the Pocket has been great, and now I'll have two when I get the one I want, sweet)
EV800D Goggles - For $100, these are useable to start out
BetaFPV BT2.0 Pigtails - get that juice
Soldering Iron (I got a 60w all in one kit and I wish I got the TS100
8x Tattu 1s BT2.0 450mah HV batteries - charge to 4.35v
ViFly Whoopstor 3 - highly recommend, charges 6 batteries quickly
64gb SD card for goggles
Skyzone USB OTA Receiver - does every new fpv pilot buy one of these so other people can watch?
2x Meteor75 Pro Frames (everyone and their dog recommends the M75P frame as the most durable, I got extra to build a slightly "larger" build for outdoor - You can use 45mm props with the Meteor75 Pro
Gemfan blades - mine have chipped already, but these don't really break
**After flying for 2 days, I'm ordering 100 M1.4x3 screws ($7) because the motor screws break off from the frame when flying/crashing. They give you extra but I've used them up and I'm on the last ones. I'm also ordering these 75mm u.fl antennas because I've broken the ceramic tip off of the antenna and if I go behind a wall I lose signal. No big deal, a few bucks. UPDATE - after flying about 20 packs, the antenna is better than nothing but not as good as the flimsy original one, but i did bend it a lot. I have a truerc singularity in the mail.
Lets start with the radio:
Radiomaster Pocket - (I'm sure this same thing works with Radiomaster brand radios, I followed along with people on the boxer and zorro - also if you don't have a radio I have to vote against the zorro for the small batteries)
Follow Captain Drone explain and setup switches (STOP at 8:30, where he starts binding. Betaflight update lets you bind from your computer. Start watching again when your drone is connected and the firmware is updated. Later he will walk you through setting up the "arm" switch and flight modes.

**I struggled to bind my Mobula for a long time until I realized that the video and the walkthrough on Github both failed to mention the "packet rate" setting in the radio menu when you press the ELRS lua script. The default is D500, and MOBULA WILL ONLY BIND on the 500hz setting. Anything with a letter in front and you will wonder what is wrong.
Update your Radiomaster internal ELRS lua script to have your binding phrase. Follow these exact instructions, but set the correct packet rate!
Plug in your quad and connect to betaflight (explained in Mobula section)
Go to the Receivers tab, set SPI reciever mode, with CRSF, and the binding phrase you put in the lua script. Save and reboot
Either press "bind" or go to the CLI and type "bind_rx"
Run ELRS lua script and press Bind. There should be a C in the top right corner. Your radio is bound.
Mobula7 1s - Setup and bind to Betaflight
Soldering BT2.0 connector - (gives you more power and more amps, highly recommend) This was my first attempt with a soldering iron. I watched Bardwells 30 minute tutorial and it helped tremendously. I started at 300C and it was too cold, I got the positive off but not the negative. The thru holes are difficult and so small. You have to hold the ground for quite a while for it to come out. I was holding the board and it got very hot, to the point I thought I messed it up. I tried again later with a hotter iron and doing quick 1-2 second bursts and it went much smoother. Take your time, line everything up. I successfully did it, but I should have practiced first.
Download Betaflight configurator (the web version didn't work for me on my Windows machine)
Plug in your quad and let Betaflight (BF) find it.
**SAVE YOUR CONFIG - go to the "presets" tab and Save Backup to someplace you will remember. After you flash the firmware, you have to reload the backup
Go to firmware flasher - Auto detect or the Mobula7 is CRAZYBEEF4SX1280. It should match the target in the top left.
Load Firmware (Online) and then Flash Firmware. You might have to save and reboot or unplug and plug back in.
**This is a huge part where I got stuck (I don't remember if it was before or after firmware). The radio and quad weren't binding. Finally, on the BF Welcome tab there are links to drivers. Download the ImpulseRC Driver Fixer. It is a tool which automatically fixes the incorrectly assigned driver for STM32 BOOTLOADER (FC in firmware update mode)
Move your quad around and make sure the model on the screen matches with what you're doing, and that the arrow points to the front of the quad.
Go to the Receiver tab and make sure your radio is bound with your quad. Move the sticks and make sure they correlate with throttle, yaw etc.
Betaflight Setup - go back to the Radiomaster section to the Captain Drone video. Start after he binds at 8:30. (You will use "bind_rx" in cli tab) It walks you through setting up arm switch and flight modes, etc.
Presets - this is especially useful because you can use someone else's information to get you started. I used the UAVTech Whoop preset, I believe it sets the master multiplier at 1.6x, and it works for me.
Bluejay Firmware - Everyone should have this. It enables bidirectional dshot and rpm filtering and makes the quad run way better with longer flight times. It's an online configurator that flashes the flight controller built into the Mobula
This OscarLiang post describes how to flash your Mobula perfectly. The only changes I made were: both common parameter sliders I moved ALL the way up. I saw 2-3 YouTube videos and posts where they upped the startup power min and max to the most allowed and it runs perfectly. (When you are on the "select target" page, the default leaves it at BLHeli_S, you have to choose the drop down of "Bluejay")
I chose the latest version firmware, and 96khz pwm frequency is recommended for tinywhoops and that it what I used. Definitely play with the startup melody, they have super mario and star wars tones that your quad will make every time you power up. Every time I plug in a new battery I get the super mario bros theme song.
Go back to BF, on the Configuration tab, my gyro update was 8khz and pid loop frequency was 8khz. After I setup the OSD, my controller was running at about 75%+ (you can see the cpu load in bf) which is about the cutoff for being too high, according to my research. Setting it at 8khz gyro and 4khz pid loop was the smoothest running for me.
**Please setup your BUZZER - I did, and the captain drone video he walks you through setting it as a switch. This saved my drone countless times already. Once you crash into a bush and take your goggles off, you completely forget where you were flying. The buzzer helps track it down more than you would expect. Flip over turtle mode is a lifesaver also, that is mandatory.
On the Motors tab, turn on Bidirectional DShot, make sure dshot300 is selected. The mobula7 has 12 motor poles. You can test each motor individually to make sure they are spinning the right direction.
**At this point, I could see the video in my goggles, and I could power up and arm the quad, but it kept jumping, twitching, and cutting power every time I gave it throttle. After lots of things, I checked each motor. Run each one individually and feel if air is blowing above or below, if it's not below, then it's the wrong direction. The solution to this was the checkbox under quad x "motor direction is reversed". I turned that on, and it worked perfectly.
I moved throttle expo to .30 and I like it quite a bit, everything else I left the same.
Closing - I'm sure I forgot/confused a few crucial steps, I'm going to be updating and fact checking these steps to hopefully help someone who was stuck like me. I hope I described each problem I had well enough so that if it happens to someone else, they can figure it out.
Since starting to write this two days ago, I've ordered a couple more things:
TrueRC Singularity 20mm locking u.fl antenna (best antenna, fits under canopy)
Extra set of HM RS0802 20k motors. Mine are champs but if one breaks I want to swap it.
TBS Trimph Antenna RP-SMA male ($20) - Huge upgrade to omni antenna on EV800D, if I find a cheap patch cable that would be cool but I'm saving for digital
Extra Runcam Nano 3 Camera (I want to try the TW Pinch)

I started planning about 2 months ago, bookmarking the places on Naver Maps, and decided on our schedule considering the area/location, Seoul Pass, etc. Imo I planned quite well given that we went to so many locations everyday and hit all of our personal must-gos. We were quite rushed at each location, and very tired at the end of each day, so my itin doesn't fit everyone's travel styles, but it was what worked for us. We also prioritized location/tourist spots over food, so our meals were more "whatever was near and seemed good" instead of specific must-go restaurants (except Myeongdong Gyoja and Han Yeosa).
Transport
Naver Maps. Most of the transportation used was via subway - quite convenient with English signage everywhere. Only thing was the many, many stairs at most subway exits, and it was sometimes a long walk, so by Day 4 when we were tired we sometimes called for a taxi. The taxis are quite cheap, so we took them when we were in a hurry as well. Thanks to this sub I had already downloaded the Kakao T app and read about how to use it, and it went pretty smoothly. Longest wait time was 2 minutes max, there was always one nearby. We either paid by cash or T-money.
Colour testing/colour analysis
1st was Ocollor, booked/paid via Klook, and confirmed booking time via KakaoTalk. It was $265usd for 2 people, there was an interpreter and went on for 1hr45mins. They classed me as autumn deep. Gave examples of makeup products, best and worst colours, etc.
2nd was @/colorsociety, booked via WhatsApp 1 month prior and paid onsite, 220,000krw for 1 semi-premium package + body type analysis. Almost immediately after I entered the room she asked if I was winter and was very surprised that that was not my previous result. She did my makeup for me, recommending products and teaching me how to do makeup, plus recommending clothes that suit my body type by sending me screenshots of various Korean clothes brands. We were done in 1 hour.
I booked two different testings exactly for this reason. I am leaning towards Color Society’s result, just because the colours she proposed seems to better fit me, and she did have a machine thing to test for undertones (which may or may not be more scientific? idk). The makeup she did on me, using specific products fit for winter tones, also turned out quite well and I would love to replicate that as my daily makeup. However, both testings were quite expensive and could’ve been longehad more content for such a price imo.
Money
We brought ~30000krw cash, bought T-money cards in convenience stores at the airport, and added money into them. When we went to Myeongdong we exchanged our local currency for 350000krw. The shop with the best exchange rate is right outside the Chinese embassy near the Chinese school - indeed there was a queue while other nearby exchange shops were empty. The cash was not enough for us - taxi drivers and underground malls/roadside stores/stalls all prefer cash, and apm Place (which we often went to) ONLY accepts cash. In total we should have prepared/exchanged 500,000krw.
We both used Wise card and whilst my friend’s card had a problem and could not pay for some reason, mine worked just fine, super quick conversion from my local currency to more krw when I needed it. I was even able to take out cash using Wise from a random ATM in Myeongdong, even though there was an expensive transaction fee.
Food/Tourist spots
Gwangjang: I knew it was a touristy spot more than an actual traditional market but the location fit our schedule the best. It didn’t seem too expensive, and the food e.g. fishcakes was good. Maybe because it was a weekday evening but it was only a brief queue for the famous kwabaegi and it was soooooooo good.
Han Yeosa: we went on a weekday lunch time and were pleasantly surprised that there was no line at all. It was expensive at 55,000krw/crab, but was good. 1 crab is enough for two people as it was very salty despite having rice and banchan. We both couldn’t fully finish our crabs, which was a shame.
London Bagel Museum: I had heard about the insane queue times and so originally did not plan to go. However when passing by we saw the short 30 minute wait, probably because it was a weekday afternoon, and since we were shopping around the area anyways we decided to go for it. The bagels were good, but not 1-hour wait time good. The soups were great tho. Very heavy mushroom flavour for mushroom soup, and very heavy black pepper taste for tomato soup (don’t order tomato soup if you can’t handle spice)
hanboks: I forgot which specific store we picked. Rather than deciding and prepaying online, I suggest going there, looking at different styles and prices, then pick a store. I went there with a specific store in mind but changed my decision when I saw a hanbok I really liked at another. They usually do have lockers for free, and some stores offer hair accessories, bags, etc. Prices are different depending on how long you're renting a hanbok for but usually 20000-30000krw/2hrs - shops will say 10000/2hrs on the door but those are prices for the simplest styles only. Anything that looks good will be more expensive so ask or make sure you know the exact price before deciding. Also evaluate how much time you really need to rent the hanbok - Gyeongbokgung is literally like 2 minutes walk away and you'll be done taking pictures within an hour. We returned ours just over an hour later.
Myeongdong Gyoja: The kalguksu is SO good I went again right before my flight. Unlike any other noodle or soup I’ve ever had. But was also quite salty and heavily flavoured.
N Tower: we put locks there! Get your locks from home/other places instead of buying at N Tower cause it's like 10000krw/lock iirc with very limited styles. The diagonal(?) elevator from Myeongdong up to N Tower is free. The cable car tickets up to N Tower and the N Tower observatory tickets are separate tickets, separate payments. I got so confused researching and planning this part ngl.
apm Place at Dongdaemun: open from 8pm-5am daily except Fridays and Saturdays iirc. A big, 8-floor mall full of clothes and only clothes. 99% of people were Chinese daigous (purchasing on behalf of others) and livestreamers selling to their customers. Most places ignored us and only offered wholesale to daigous, and did not do retail so we couldn't directly buy from them right there. You have to ask each individual store and ask about each piece directly. Sometimes you can just simply buy it, sometimes you have to buy two or more items from the store, sometimes the store doesn't do retail. 99% of sellers speak Chinese. It was a very special experience, and a very good way to spend time very late into the night without worrying about how to travel back to the hotel if you live in Dongdaemun. The clothes are more expensive than Myeongdong and underground malls, but of a better quality and design. All stores only accept cash from individual/walk-in buyers like us tourists. This is why we needed so much cash
Nami Island: now I did a lot of research on this sub and online about whether it was worth going to Nami Island (and surrounding attractions) and that’s up to individual opinion. My friend really wanted to go, so it was worth it for us. I originally thought about going ourselves, but it’s so difficult to get there (subway to KTX to bus) that I just booked a tour that would be more comfortable and allowed us to visit more places than if we went ourselves. Tour was good, guide was good, went smoothly. We did have the option to zipline into Nami (completely separate from the tour, pay for tickets onsite. I tried booking online tickets but didn’t have Naver Pay which would require a Korean credit card). The zipline was great, not scary at all, felt very safe given that we were above water, 10/10 would go again. We originally planned to take the Family course (directly to Nami) but decided to pick the Adventure course (zipline to a nearby island then speedboat to Nami) because of the shorter wait time. On a weekday afternoon, Adventure course had a 30 min wait time, Family course 1.5 hour; honestly not too bad, and you could eat at a nearby dakgalbi restaurant to wait. Adventure course was more expensive than Family, we paid 105,800krw for 2 people. The dakgalbi restaurant on Nami 10/10 recommend, although it is slightly spicy. Sights on Nami were…normal? Like I wasn’t expecting anything too amazing and that’s what I got. It’s a good waterside/forest-y walk in good weather but nothing too special. I would go only if I lived in Seoul/aren’t pressed for time in travelling and want a relaxing nature day imo. Having a tour guide/bus was also extremely important - booking or buying tickets and going to each of the attractions myself would have been a nightmare.
1 in 1 cup: amazing view, and we went on a weekday evening so there was literally nobody else on the rooftop. Breathtaking view of the hanoks especially on a good day without clouds or rain. We didn’t know that we could go up to the rooftop from behind the cafe without paying, so we paid for terrible tasting drinks unfortunately. But still worth it. We went by taxi from the nearest subway station.
Aquafield Goyang: 100% worth it if you have the time to relax. We were on a tight schedule and could only spend 1 hour in the actual jjimjilbang unfortunately, I would stay the whole day if I could. Bought tickets onsite as there’s usually onsite discounts for entry after 3/4pm. Was not crowded but still had a respectable flow of people in and out of various spas/rooms. Did not go into the sauna (you have to go completely naked) as we were not comfortable with that. The jjimjilbang is a separate area where you wear the provided clothes and sweat in rooms with different temperatures. Food court was wonderful. Spas were clean, very very spacious, very relaxing, wonderful experience 10/10.
COEX: Very good spot for last-minute shopping as there were many brands concentrated in one area. Huge mall with the Starfield Library, which was a bit underwhelming given all the tourists jostling for the perfect photo, and COEX Aquarium which I was pleasantly surprised by - the stamps at each area was quite fun, and the mermaid performance was fun as I'd never seen one before. I thought there was a hands-on doctor fish treatment or interactive fish-touching areas/events(?) but there wasn't any so I was slightly disappointed.
Clothes/Olive Young
If you’re looking for feminine, cheap clothes with less regard for quality, PLEASE visit underground malls and Myeongdong. Outstanding mentions include WANTT in Myeongdong (12900krw pants, SO comfortable, I went there three times to buy all the colours. 15000krw jeans, 9000krw crop tops, etc.), Myeongdong underground mall and Gotomall. Gotomall is huge!!!, you could shop there for hours, I could only skim half of it. There’s a lot of restaurants inside as well which a lot of locals were eating at so I’m sure they taste great.
I went to an Olive Young store at least once a day and it was still not enough!! Cosmetics are so cheap and the staff are soooo helpful, they can all speak basic English and if you're finding something specific just show them a screenshot or a Korean translation of what you need. I regret not buying more makeup and skincare products honestly. It's so cheap and good quality. Apparently prices for the same products can be different at different branches? Idk cause I never checked but I still bought anything I saw because it might not be in stock at the next branch, especially popular brands like CLIO and peripera, I couldn't find everything I wanted because specific shades were all out of stock.
We spent about 2,500,000krw for 2 people, excluding flights and hotel. I think a huge part of why I was so happy with this trip was 1) pleasant weather, it wasn't too hot or too cold, slightly sunny just enough for it to be warmly comfortable. Very little rain, and didn't ruin any of our plans. 2) We went in late April, which is not a tourist season, avoiding Easter and cherry blossom times. That meant there were very little queues and attractions were less crowded, so we were able to take pretty pictures and actually enjoy the facilities/views.
My only regret is not bringing enough cash, and missing the Banpo rainbow bridge. I went at 12pm and it was only a waterworks show, not rainbow lights.
10/10 trip, can't wait to go back to Seoul (and Jeju hopefully)

For anyone who thinks about purchasing the physical OST (Standard Edition) CDs for P3R:
First of all: If you dislike the rework of the Soundtrack, there is nothing in this package that justifies the price tag.
Secondly: The OST is meant for a japanese audience. There is no translation provided for anything. There aren't even any furigana, cause of course there aren't. Why would there? Hope you practiced your Kanji.
If you can deal with that, here is what you are getting for your (at least [see 5.3]) 3850 円:

1) Purchasing the physical ost for P3 Reload will get you a few goodies:
1.1) Besides the physical disks you'll get access to a download version of the OST. This one is available as a .wav or a .mp3. Each of these three choices are way better than the .exe format of the digital souldtrack. Information to the music files:
With a non japanese OS all file names that use kanji will be rendered completely unrecognizable.
The file name for the track "全ての人の魂の詩" will become "Disc1_02_sà¿püªpü«S¦¦pü«T¡épü«F¬¬ (P3R ver.)". I don't know the original file name but it seems like it should have been something along the lines of "Disc1_02_全ての人の魂の詩(P3R ver.)".
The track names in the file data should be read properly though, so your media player of choice should display the kanji correctly.
When ripping the CDs the file names will be the same as the track names of the downloaded version. On the other the windows media player could not read the title, contributing artists and album name properly, mostly displaying all kanji and kana als questionmarks.
Side note: In contrast to the CDs for the P3, P3P, P4G, P5 and P5R OST the standard rip path for P3R will be "useMusic\アトラスサウンドチーム\ペルソナ3 リロード オリジナル・サウンドトラック[Disc Nr.]". Previous CDs had another path,"User\Music\ATLUS\目黒将司\OST_Disc_Folder_Name". I don't know why they changed it.
There is another problem though: The ost will be sorted inside the folders "/Disc1" "/Disc2" and "/Extra". Each folder has it's contents track number go from 1 upwards, BUT the album name in each of the file data will be the same. So you may have your Mediaplayer auto sort your P3R playlist like this: Extra#1 -> Disk1#1 -> Disk2#1 -> Extra#2 -> Disk1#2 -> Disk2#2 ect. Be careful when you create your playlist if the order of tracks matters to you. Either sort alphabetically via file name or, when sorting via track name, add the disks one by one.
Attention: The downloaded version of the tracks seem to be higher quality than the ripped version from your CD. eg. Full Moon Full Life as a Downloaded .mp3 is 9.40 MB and as a CD Ripped .mp3 it is 4.47 MB. The ripped version has the same bit rate but lacks other data like cover art.
Regarding audio quality: Even after extensive listening with different audio systems I could'nt hear any difference between downloaded and ripped versions. My ears aren't that good though.
The soundtrack is recorded in stereo format. (Sadly there is no 5.1 version of the OST. Endless Space pampered me a little ^^')
The downloaded version includes two bonus tracks that are quite nice. Those tracks are alternative versions of "Burn my Bread" and "Deep Breath Deep Breath".
In conclusion: Between ripping and downloading the OST, downloading seems to be the superior option.
1.2) You will get stickers with portraits of the whole protag cast. Those stickers are 2.5 cm x 3 cm or 1 in x 1.1 in
These stickers do not include Strega members or the Chairman. Too bad if you ask me.
1.3) You'll get a booklet. The booklet is of good quality and includes comments by the ATLUS Staff.
These comments are printed over the "All Out Attack" slides of each character. Aegis' slide is still in the booklet, but hers has no comment printed overit.
Those comments are all in japanese.
The lyrics of the songs are all in their original language. English stays English, Latin stays Latin and japanese stays japanese. As mentioned before: no furigana. They are printed over a single color gradient portrait of one of the SEES members. This time Aegis gets Text printed over her as well. To rectify this stunning display of disrespect towards the best toaster in all of fiction Aegis gets a second page with lyrics. This time in full colour and off to the side so she is displayed completely. I guess the art designer has a Fav among the OCs. The last page for the lyrics is a double page with all the protagonists and antagonists besides the Chairman. Interestingly enough this picture shows neither Orpheus nor Messiah. But in the back, on the side of the antagonists, you can see Thanathos hovering over the moon of the dark hour. The last double page is Door-kun again with some info about the artists and other ATLUS staff members.
1.4) The CD case is solid plastic and comes with one of those paperback-wrappy-thingies you will not know what to do with after taking the CD case out of the plastic wrapping. The case has the CDs in the front and the back, with an additional page in the middle. This one holds the booklet, the stickers and the Student ID Card / m-card. The Card holder and the booklet are a little too small so the stubs meant to hold those items in place dont function too well. Opening and closing the CD case may result in violently flinging merchandise all over the place.
The CDs themselfes have a unsurprising design. Disc 1is a gray Gekkoukan High Logo and Disc 2 has the green breaking clock you see, when entering the dark hour. The booklet has shares the logo of P3R with Door-Kun in his new SEES Special uniform. The background art behind the CDs is light blue with a small P3 Reload print above two white-ish wavy lines.
1.5) You will get a Gekkoukan High Student ID card. The bar-code on the front reads "GEKKOUKAN" and the Backside of the card is a m-card.
2) What is a m-card?
2.1) m-card.info is a japanese hosting site. As far as I see it, it has no alternative language options besides japanese. To my knowledge (not really good japanese reading skills) the CDs booklet and the terms of service of m-card say, that m-card is a Japan only service. Either way, you do not seem to need a VPN to access all services and can use google translate to navigate the site. I accessed m-card with an european IP Adress and it worked flawlessly.
2.2) The QR code in the top right of the m-card (The backside of the Student ID card) will get you to m-card item 1983. You can also manually enter the link right above your download code.
To access your bonus items you have to log in. Possible ways to log in are Line, Facebook or Twitter. You can also generate an m-card account to access the downloadable content. I tested an european Line account and it worked perfectly fine.
2.3) The m-card homepage may be accessed with reasonable up to date versions of Windows, mac and Android Systems. I did not test Linux. There is an FAQ that you can translate via google if need be. There seems to be a few cool features possible with MAC, but I don't care enough to read through all of that or summarise it.
3) Via the m-card you'll get:
3.1) A download button for the OST as a .mp3 or a .wav. These will be downloaded as .zip archives and will include the two bonus tracks mentioned in 1.1. The download will be done by your browser. You can start the download and then close the tab as soon as the download starts, the file will be downloaded regardles.
3.2) A "Making of P3R OST Bonus Tracks" as a stream. This vid is all japanese without substitles.
m-card does reccomend to stream on a pc. Smartphones sometimes do not work.
Mind that the stream may crash if you first start the stream and then start the download of the ost. You will have to refresh the page in your browser to start the stream again.
I did not find an easy way to download this vid. Neither on the page itself nor in the page source code. When the page goes offline in april 26 the making of may become lost media, so if there is a savwy archivist around: Go for it!
As I see it there is no countermeasure for screen recording during the stream. But I assume that this is against the terms of service.
4) Things to be careful about:
4.1) After activating your m-card code you'll have 5 to 6 months to watch the stream and download the OST inkl. bonus tracks. After this your code expires. Don't ask me why please. I don't know either.
4.2) In April 2026 Item 1983 will no longer be hosted on m-card. If you aquire a legit, unused download code after this date it may still be inoperable.
5) Final thoughts:
5.1) If you where able to download the music from the digital ost, the physical CD set would most likely be obsolete. But, since ATLUS wants all the money they what they did and made the digital ost, as well as the digital deluxe edition a scam. Data Storage costs literaly nothing. You can rent a server for a few years and it will hardly cost you, so the time limited download of the bonus tracks is only meant to trigger fomo. Stop it ATLUS. How about not trying to be a moneyhungry monster for once?
5.2) On the one hand the bonus tracks and a few stickers do not justify relatively high price tag but on the other hand you will still be able to call those CDs your own, even if someone messes with the Steam servers (not likely), your local government restricts access to foreign servers (depends on where you live) or legal issues between Steam / PSN / Microsoft and Atlus arise (For anything besides PSN I can actually see that one happening) Besides that you can display those CDs in one of your shelves, so you can be happy to see where your money went, even if there is a power outage.
5.3) With a price tag of 3.850 円 the CDs themselfes are on the higher end of the spectrum. Additionaly you may have even more costs for shipping, import fees, handling fees or all of those at once. Thus the price may triple if you live outside of Japan.
5.4) Is it worth it? To me? Yes. I am sure though, that not every one shares my opinion. This is why I made this post, so you can have a better understanding what you get for your money.

Though I have a very fast, very 'filling' (I own a large house & land. You've no idea how hard it has been getting my internet connection everywhere I need it. Thank you Mesh routers!) internet but I like to own all my content... well own is the wrong word as even though we 'buy' stuff we're technically just buying licenses, or renting. guh. the worst word in the universe... so both my Nintendo Switch consoles have 1tb microSD cards, even my old PSP has a device to use microSD cards in lieu of sonys weird proprietary nonsense stick! My oled Steam Deck PC has a 2tb internal drive, plus 1tb MicroSD, plus adapters to use another (get this) 4x1tb microSD cards on the go. Historically I've owned numerous iPod 'classics'. One for TV shows, one for movies, one for music hehe.

I recently on a whim updated my 8gb Kindle Paperwhite (the latest model. but the smallest size. I didn't want to wait the 1 month until the 'signature' edition was released hehehe) to the current one which is 32gb I think? Either way it's big.

I've been collecting ebooks since 2002ish back in .txt form in some cases lol. Ive never been able to read normal books but e-Ink displays are wonderful to my eyes. Especially the warm light update, man I love that! blue light during the day or if I want to stay up reading... amber light at night or when I want to have a cosy nap in a nook somewhere tucked away ... getting nappish thinking about this! Might have one after this if I can find the god damn keys to the treehouse I had built for my son, but now it's a mini " home away from the main home " as the saying goes, for my wife and I. It's so good inside... multiple rooms, in photos it looks no different to a cabin you'd find in somewhere like America!
I have around 5000 books or so on my cloud Amazon thing. The best way I can download them now is to utilise Collections as you can download whole collections in one press. And for books not in collections I'm trying to find a way to add them to collections as fast as possible. Current best method: using a Macbook Pro I'm able to quickly select 25 books in one press, and add them to a collection. But its only 25 books at a time.
I wish to fill my Kindle. I've emailed Amazon support asking for help plus the engineers I'm barely even acquinted with yet have their contact details, about methods for downloading all books to new kindles.

My dad would like me to print him some fishing lures on my printer or at least attempt too so he can paint whatever colour he'd like. If I download a file that's compatible for my printer and slicer but I'd designed for a different filament and I print in a different one will it work?
I print on a creality k1 and right mainly PLA but have found a great sample for one designed for resin. Will it work or be a horrific attempt?

I have seen a lot of posts about the screen on the Libra Colour and the color saturation, but I have not seen many people talk about the notebook features, so I thought I'd put one together. Unlike many people, my primary reason for purchasing the Kobo was to take notes and annotate, so I thought I would give a quick review of note taking on the Libra Colour with the stylus 2.
I have not used a sage or a kindle scribe. The size is the reason I was not interested in them. This is my first Kobo device but not my first e-reader
I bought the Kobo colour because I could write in it the same way I would in a book, with the small form factor of a small notebook (something I have on me at all times).In all of my years of e-readership, I have never been able to read serious books or non-fiction on my e-reader, despite trying. I wouldn't remember my settings to get back to page numbers if I just took notes in a notebook and I like to mark on the text.
Cut to the Kobo Colour. If I'm traveling for six weeks, having a single device that works as a book for light reading, general note taking, and academic texts as well in a small form factor is ideal for me. That said, I read in small print a lot and tend to only travel with a carry-on. Sometimes I print PDFs at half page size so I'm AOK with small text. These things may make your experience different than mine.
When I got my Kobo yesterday I tried out note-taking first
I used it with 3 different books:

• One open source textbook that was downloaded as epub. It has color photos in it that benefit form being in color
  
• One book that I already own but for a variety of reasons had to acquire a new copy of from online
  
• One kepub book from the Kobo store
  

General Thoughts

• It felt very natural to hold the stylus in my right hand and turn pages with my left (essentially using the device upside down).
  
• Make sure to turn the settings to only turn the page on swipe and not on tap or it will turn the page every time your hand touches the screen when you're writing
  

Annotations
Being able to click the book and see all of my notations in order within the book and swipe down through them is nice. If you highlight and then write a note, you will first see the highlight and then it will zoom in on the note.
-Unfortunately, if your writing slopes down because you need room in the margins it will only show you things in line with where you started writing. You will have to click on the annotation to see the rest.

• If you have a set of notations you use when you are reading to denote thoughts (exclaimation points, question marks, stars, smilies, etc) it is fantastic.
  
• If you want to add a longer note, you can click on the highlight to add a sticky note. You cannot free write on that note. You must use the keyboard. The keyboard is fast and responsive, but it still would be nice to write on the sticky. When you go into the annotations it will give you the highlight and then whatever you typed on the sticky together
  
• It will give a picture of annotations that you wrote on top of an image in a textbook, but it will zoom in on the annotation and not give you the full image you marked up.
  
• If you underline (not highlight, actually underline) things in lines that are next to each other it will show them together. I do not know how many lines it will do this for.
  

Annotations on Kepub
Fast, snappy, responsive, great. Everything above applies and you will have no trouble. It is SUPER smooth and feels great.
Annotations on Epub
Slower than on Kepub. Sometimes, if you have the font large it will get finicky with showing your highlight. When you make the font smaller it will be there, but it will feel like it didn't highlight it. Overall, just a bit slower than on kepub but it does work. I will likely convert my files to kepub because it just works better.
Writing in notebooks
The feel of writing- better than on my computer drawing tablet, but not tactile in the same way paper is. The stylus moves very smoothly but it is very responsive. It does not feel like the stylus will mar the surface of the screen.
Basic notebooks- There are lots of different backgrounds to choose from. I like a lot of them but they will not be comfortable if you are used to writing in a full size notebook. If you carry If you regularly carry a small notebook to jot things down in or keep records it's pretty perfect in size. If you like an A6 notebook, this will likely work well for you.
Advanced notebooks- My handwriting is not good and I only fully stumped it once.
I will personally not use this feature often because you can only write on a blank background and I prefer the organizer boxes
Overall
So far I enjoy the experience of taking notes on the Libra color. My biggest complaint is not being able to free write on the sticky note. The screen door effect that many complain about literally disappears for me if I'm not thinking about it. On top of note taking I read a short novel to see if I was comfortable with the size and feel of the device and it was very comfortable.
I think it works better than any device I've had for my purposes. I do not think this is the best device if you want something for reading for pleasure at home and only plan to read in black and white.
I read through several chapters of a textbook, a historical work, and a work of fiction and was able to flip to what I wanted in a fast way. I was able to annotate perfectly on kepub and will likely convert my epubs to kepubs that I wish to annotate. As someone who tends to travel for long periods of time to places where I have less access to things like wifi and power and may only bring a carry-on, it's kind of an ideal device from the perspective of size and functionality.
If people are interested, I can add photos of the different annotations I've made and give examples of these things, but that's my general overview of it all.
