My family and I booked condo at a property in Florida that looked really nice. Our trip is supposed to start in less than 2 weeks and my teen asked to see it. When I opened the property page I saw a new update in the description that said that the property as of February is under construction and the wrap-around balcony, which is why we chose the property, is inaccessible. There is also a review left a month ago that says that there is more extensive construction than described, including large amounts of missing flooring in common areas. Being that a major feature that determines the value and desirability of the condo is unusable and the undisclosed safety issues of the building, along with what will no doubt be extensive construction noise are now a factor, we are looking to try and book a new property.
Had we known any of this we never would have booked this property, much less this particular condo whose side of the building is now under the extensive construction. Had we been alerted to the change in balcony usability or the extent of the construction in our section of the property prior to the cancellation date, we would have immediately cancelled and found another property. But none of that happened. I found out by chance while showing my son the listing.
I’ve been ghosted by the support team for over 2 hours after being told by the original team member that they were going to “forward your case to a member of our team who’s in a better position to resolve this for you.” Any attempts to call or contact them or the host redirect me to the chat I’ve been waiting in for hours.
As you can imagine, this is beyond frustrating. If anyone has any tips I’m all ears. I just want my family to have a nice, safe, and comfortable place to stay for vacation. We saved for this for years and are devastated by this turn of events. Like I said before, we don’t even want a refund from Airbnb, just a credit to book a new place.

I put this under AITA because i dont really know what to put it under. So i had three best friends, lets call them Regina (my aunt), Gretchen (ex best friend), and Karen(childhood ex bestie). They all had known each other and were decent with one another which was great, we started to hang out together and talk on the phone together, finally felt like i had a girl friend group. December rolls around and me and my fiance wanted to go to see Bert Kriesher, it was already planned out, tickets bought, etc. I was so excited to go i told everybody about it in the beginning of November. Well about two weeks after I told everybody about it i find out the Regina is having “Friendsgiving” and has invited all of the girls. It happens to be on the same night we are going to see Bert, that is completely fine with me, i told them that we can’t make it and we can do something before Christmas (early Christmas) if they would like. All said yes and everything was good, we did early Christmas with Regina and Gretchen lived two hours away so it was hard to connect. Fast forward to early Christmas with Karen a week later and she was acting kinda weird during the entire time, was responding with short responses, wasnt really all the chatty and i just thought she was having a tough day. Asked her what was wrong she said nothing. Well two days later i get a message from Karens Fiancé saying that the people who i think are my friends arent my friends, curious i asked what he meant and he responded with i have screenshots and sends me almost a whole album of screenshots of all three of them talking shit in a group chat named Shit talk and then changed it to Grinch Talk, about me and my relationship, my recovery, how i parent, how i look, my health and more, but what really pissed me off the most is they decided to add my son(2yo) into it, so after receiving the screenshots i decided to make a group chat on snapchat and called it why are you talking shit, no-one responded to the group chat and messaged me individually. Karen called me crying saying the did it because they were concerned about me. Regina texted me saying i was making all of my health issues up and i just wanted attention when i in fact have medical records to prove otherwise (i have POTS, Seizures, stomach issues, and more). And Gretchen blamed it on karen and Regina saying she just wanted best for me. I blocked all of them on snap which Karen took personal and blocked me on everything after getting mad at me for blocking her on snap because i needed a break from seeing them all over my social media. Afterwards i cut Regina and Gretchen off and have completely cut them out of mine and my childs life. Some part of my feel guilty for my son because he was besties with Karens son, but i choose our peace over that drama anyday. Rant over✌🏼

I actually got diagnosed with bipolar at 17 at a mental hospital and the doctor really encouraged me to file for disability as I would “never lead a normal life.” I somehow managed to be approved incredibly quick. After 5 years of bed rotting, I worked my way up to becoming a full time lead and felt very empowered. After 2 years of full time work my benefits ended. I’ve struggled a lot mentally but I stayed working full time. Now that I am a single mom to an autistic child and life + my psyche has forced me into doing immense inner work, I just don’t know if I can do it anymore… or at least right now. I am jobless currently but secure as my son receives ssi and we’re living with my grandma. But we can’t stay here forever and I cannot survive on only his ssi. I keep telling myself “life is hard. Suck it up.” But I’m so tired of being sick mentally. I do want to work part time but I also want the financial security if that doesn’t work out. It’s so hard to heal when you live in poverty.. I spent 3 years in poverty before we left my abusive ex and I never want to experience that scarcity of resources again…
So I’m just wondering basically how long/hard the process is. I worry me working full time for so long and now being in a shitty situation will come off like I’m looking for an easy handout and won’t get it..

Me, my gf, my little brother, and his gf all share an apartment together. The 4 way rent was what enticed me to sign a year lease with them knowing they had a dog. At first it was fine, the original dog was decently well behaved for a 8 month old, besides jumping on you to get pet. Well around thanksgiving last year they decided to get another dog (a husky which our apartment forbids ) without asking me if I was cool with it first. This dog must be inbread I swear to god she is so dumb and annoying and she has a cockeye.
Well this dog was not well trained at all, not even pee pad trained much less house trained. It was hell from the first day, she constantly whines with that annoying ass husky high pitch yelp and the original dog learned from her nasty behavior. They were putting her in a kennel at first but she would whine for hours on end no matter what you did (calming treats, cbd, peaceful music, lights on or off) I absolutely hate her. She is barking as I’m typing this. Anyways they’re both disgusting, our house always stinks, they are getting their period blood on every square inch of the floor and my brother is too lazy to clean it up so I have to.
They ruined the couch I bought. They’re shedding like crazy leaving enough dog hair on the floor to stuff a pillow every day. They destroyed all the blinds, got dirt on all the walls, scratched the paint off the doors, and made the house smell like a week old bin of used tampons. I’m trying to quit smoking weed but that was the only thing keeping me sane in this shit hole apartment. I told my brother he needs to get on the lease so I can hopefully get off of it. I want out so badly, my gf does too. Our lease ends in September idk if I can last that long. I’m restricted to my room and bathroom which is the only clean part of the house. I let my brother know all the time how much I hate the dogs and he just blows it off.
It sucks bc it makes it awkward between us but I just wish he would get rid of the damn things. He’s always screaming at them and hitting them plus never takes them out for walks just to pee and poop. I’m pretty close to sacrificing my car seats to take those dogs to the Indian reservation and kiss them goodbye.

I'm a (24F) and l've been friends with my guy friend (22M) for about 3/4 years now. I've never seen him as more than just a friend until two weeks ago. He invited me out of the blue to hang out during the wknd just the two of us. On my way to the event I said that I would be late and he basically said no problem but added "baby/sweetness" to the sentence; like "no worries sweetness" kind of reply (that's not what he literally said but you get it). That was already unusual to me, but I went about my drive and looked over it.
We meet up and it's normal, we got drinks and danced. I had planned to leave early but we had so much fun that I didn't mind staying longer. We bar hopped and walked around the city, he was affectionate the ENTIRE night. (Hugged me, pulled out my chairs and pushed them in, joked about me being so soft while he hugged me, etc) we were basically flirting the whole night. We cuddled in two separate Ubers (I leaned on him while he caressed my arms) he even squeezed me closer to him and whispered in my ear. At the end of the night we texted when we got home. What does this mean if he hasn’t addressed it?
TLDR Just to provide additional context. Ever since then I haven't been able to address the elephant in the room but I sort of liked it? We've been small talking everyday since then but I sort of hinted at it today and he basically acted like he was caught off guard. Now I'm so confused... also he hasn't responded since that part of our convo earlier. So did he basically play me? If so then the friendship is ruined I guess, which is disappointing. I often get burned out when doing projects whether it’s about hobbies or studying. I think it’s partly due to my weak mentality, but it could also be due to ADHD. When I’m working on something, I’ll get frustrated and if there’s a deadline, I’ll leave it until the last minute. It got really bad when I was trying to build my social media and left it untouched for over 3 years even though I tried going back every time. And because of future work factors, I find that if I can’t social in real life, I must at least be able to do it online. (Sorry if my English is not good)

After going through a massive breakup, I went through a period where I was on my shit and really prioritizing myself. I worked out 6x/week, walked a ton, ate well (but still had plenty of treats), didn’t drink much, etc. I felt really on top of the world and was so happy. My clothes fit great and I was really happy with how I looked.
Cut to today, I’ve been drinking a lot, eating crap, and skipping the gym. My clothes are tight, just in time for summer. I’m uncomfortable.
I’m absolutely over it. This isn’t how I want to be living at all. I want to feel good and look good, so it’s time for a change.

Hi guys, I am transferring from a CCC to UCLA this Fall and got admitted yet. I just found out the contract said that if I got an C in major prep class during my final semester I need to report it. However it is a bit weird for me because UCLA’s major prep class is equivalent to the combination of two classes in my CC, which I earned an A in my first one last Fall, but worried about to earn an C for the second part which I am currently enrolling in. May someone help me that may UCLA rescind my admission offer because of it? Also, I am overloaded this semester with 18 semester units enrolling, I don’t know whether it will be a good reason to explanation and if I can still get in, need I take this class again? Really APPRECIATE for any help!

Hi all!
So my fiancé and I decided to elope in January of this year and the date is set for NEXT WEEK. We hired a company to coordinate our elopement for us and four guests (our parents).
This is where it gets tricky- my fiancés parents have been divorced for some time and are both remarried. My fiancé advised them both of our plans and that he can only have two guests for the ceremony (since the other two will be my parents). At this point, his dad tells him to just let his mom and her husband go. My fiancé is fine with this but later gets a call back from his dad that he spoke with fiancés mom and stepdad won’t be going so he will be there and stepmom will just hang out at the hotel during the short ceremony. Great- we can all get a nice dinner afterwards and everything is set nice and easy as I hoped.
Fast forward a month to February and step dad is now coming again. No problem, we can add him to the dinner reservation but remember he will not be able to come to the ceremony due to size limits.
Fast forward to last week- MIL comes over while my fiancé is at work to tell me she won’t be coming bec stepdad is mad that he can’t go to the ceremony. I was little taken aback but told her I understand and asked if she’d told my fiancé- she says no that she wanted to tell me face to face first because she loves me and wants to make sure I know that (very sweet). I break the news to my fiancé and he is LIVID. He calls his mom very upset and we explain the dinner plans after the ceremony to stepdad- they are both on board again.
Yesterday my fiancé calls MIL to confirm her and her husband are still planning to come to dinner after to confirm our reservations. She confirms.
Today I get a call from MY mother saying that MIL called her about the dinner reservations saying she might just bring 2 of my future stepchildren instead and will be calling their mom to plan it out. Now before anyone gets upset that we didn’t invite our children- my fiancé has 5 kids and 3 of them live across the country. It didn’t feel right to only have the kids who lived with us part time there and we have had a discussion with all the kids about our plans and they are very happy for us; however, if MIL brings them then who will be watching them at the hotel, paying for their meals, paying for their outfits, etc (not to mention we are eloping on a school day) My mom told me she just thought I should know and that she didn’t want to overstep so she just reminded MIL that they can’t come to the ceremony and the place we are dining is very expensive.
I told my fiancé about this new revelation when he got home and he tried to call his mom to discuss but she ignored his call. I don’t want all these what ifs the week of my wedding and don’t really know how my fiancé and I should handle this.

well, on Thursday I caught him aiming his camera at me in the other class.
i got up to act like I was going to ask the teacher a question and as I started walking, he was panning his camera as if he was following me.
i confronted him in front of everyone by asking “why are you filming me” out loud and he seemed to panic and he was fumbling on his phone and he said “I’m not”
i walked to him and i asked him directly to show me his open tabs he was looking at (he was on his Home Screen) and he refused and asked “why”.
i then told my teacher that he was recording me and he kept refusing. i was getting rlly upset and demanding him and pretty much yelled at him to show me his snap memories and his gallery. so she told me to go in the hallway bc I was “irate” (leaving him behind) and spoke to us one by one.
from what i heard during that time he was back on his phone.
to sum it all up, she called the administrator and sent me to the office.
after talking to her and telling them everything they opened a investigation, and interviewed ppl.
long story short, today they said that there’s nothing they can do other than to switch MY CLASSES if my grandparents want since they said that they can’t prove it. she said that he showed his gallery and they found nothing.
and they basically said that even if he did take pics, it’s not a crime. they don’t have “probable cause” for a warrant and the school policy allows phones at the “teacher discretion “. at the time he “broke no rules”.
i feel humiliated, scared and unsafe knowing that there’s a creep walking among us AT SCHOOL and there’s no consequences.
i am genuinely freaking out…
is there ANYTHING we can do legally? there has to be something. what if his pictures of me floating around to creeps on the internet?

I am wanting the piece to be a digital poster that I can use on a blog (that I will create specifically to showcase this image and explain its symbolism) and that I can also print out for personal use. I am wanting it to be done in 400 dpi for printing purposes.
My design for this piece is a little eclectic and unique, but an important disclaimer about it is that it will include explicitly religious imagery.
In particular, Jesus of Nazareth, Gautama Buddha, Socrates, and Confucius will be depicted. There will also be icons representing various world faiths depicted alongside the Bible, as well as a stack of books representing humanity’s accumulated knowledge.
Other than this, the poster will incorporate imagery that references Frank Herbert’s iconic Dune saga, the popular FromSoftware video game Elden Ring, and some of my own personal symbolism.
The image will have 2 central figures with the greatest amount of detail, 4 figures with a little less detail, 2 solid-color figures, and a crowd of 40-50 smaller least-detailed figures representing diverse peoples of the world.
I have reference images for the different parts of the image, as well as a rough sketch/collage of how I want the entire thing to look, and I will share these with any artist who is interested in this project.
I am expecting this piece to be priced at around $100 - $300 USD, give or take a couple hundred. I can be flexible.

Vuong Pham is doing a blitz of VF3 marketing, saturating the web. This is no secret.
His seeders put out a rumor of 50-60K reservation. This is a rumor, not from Vinfast, and I doubt the number. More liky in the 20K range, which is still double my initial estimation of 10K. Well, marketing and censorship in Vietnam always have effect (short term).
1/ We will have to wait until Q4 2024 to see the actual delivery. In the past, many Vin employees (and non employees) were forced to make fake reservation.
2/ The targeted customers are precisely what I said: the majority, from my quick survey, are wealthy people who want to try an EV. who are the targeted customers of VF3 in Vietnam? : VinFastComm (reddit.com) They already have an ICE. They want to try a cheap EV, for them 250M VND is a small amount that can be thrown out of the way without thinking. They make a reservation even without test driving ones.
3/ If Vinfans think that by touting the reservation numbers, people will rush to buy more, they are definitely delusional. It is a car, not gold. They only decrease value over time. And they can be manufactured at will. Vinfast cars price only come down over time, as any other cars.
4/ Vinfast cars are buggy. Look at the VF8. More buggy VF3 on the road will be a disaster down the road.
5/ Vuong Pham censor every bad news about Vinfast, censor how buggy the cars are. So many people in Vietnam don't know how buggy Vinfast cars are. Clueless new people looking at the price thinking it is cheap and buy. They will soon have a taste of buggy VF3 in Q4.
6/ Even if VF3 reservation is 60K, and assume that all the reservation converted to sale, and assume that each VF3 has a profit of 20M VND (10%), that amount to just 1200M VND = $50M. Tiny amount compared to $9.3B debt. $50M only enough for one week of Vinfast’s operation expense. Thus, the 60K “sale” is nothing financially and won’t change Vinfast’s financial pictures. Even 100K VF3 won’t change a thing.
Vinfans can have all the jubilation for a short while until the reality set in.
Time will tell.
