So, as someone who loves industrial music, (amongst many others,) I wanted to brainstorm a new island that would be based on creation and industry. That idea is now the "Industrial Island," with a focus on making a new kind of currency. These Bubblerite Ingots that are created once you complete the monster set can be converted into any other currency other than diamonds. Here are some of my monster ideas:

• Mine-stroe (Miner), makes a metal "ting" sound and adds humming vocals.
• Orerion (Blast Furnace, lost cousin to Furnoss), adds a consistent low bass sound.
• Cromp (Metal Compressor), Adds a periodic metal clash and a crunch sound (probably made via hitting a metal chair with a hammer and crushing a soda can).
• Grommer (Metal Refiner), lasers create an electric guitar sound. Composed like a punk rock "chugging" rift.
• Coregol (Power Plant), adds a consistent gutteral bass vocal, maybe also a whistle.
• Ymirrist (Quencher), makes a drum line with the stomp of their feet and a steam vent within their chest. Adds additional mechanical ambiance.
• Sweltr (Blacksmith, one of the werdos), sings the main vocals and adds a metal slamming sound, like an angry version of a hammer hitting an anvil. "We forge on, born in fire. Keep on smelting 'till the final hour." "Heed our call, this is our power. Metal ringing to the fall of the Hammer."

After Venshun was added, I thought they could be a "special guest" of sorts and could be added like the normal monsters on gold island.

China: Mao Zedong's Red Army, through a protracted guerrilla war, defeated the Nationalist forces and established the People's Republic of China. China has ended absolute poverty and is constantly creating new policy for increasing the quality of living for the working class peoples.

Hi I just need to get my thoughts out, I am on season 2 episode 11. I originally watched this show when I was a kid, which explains why I absolutely live for drama and why I was so horny at age 9. I am sure I am not the first person on this sub to have these particular thoughts but I figured another post about why Allison sucks wouldn't hurt? Ok in no particular order:

1. Allison sucks. Her mouth is somehow the most annoying character in these early episodes. I feel like she knows she has this mouth thing and emphasizes it to act like offended at everything.
   
2. There is no way on god's green earth that a woman like Amanda would ever date, let alone be obsessed with, Billy. There is also no way that Amanda would ever think to or need to compete with Allison for a man. There is also no way that a man would choose Allison over Amanda.
   
3. Billy's mouth is on par in annoyingess with Allison's mouth. These two have such distracting mouths and are constantly working them as if they are aware that yes, I have a distracting mouth.
   
4. Which brings me to the next point, which is that Allison and Billy seem like siblings to me. They have the sexual chemistry of a brother and sister. They are also both incredibly annoying. And thus, seem related.
   
5. Sydney and Marcia Cross re-confirm that redheads can be some of the most gorgeous women.
   
6. Poor Jane, they made her out to be such a stick in the mud. She was there just to have bad shit happen to her.
   
7. They just don't make horny shows like this anymore. That electric guitar sound that plays during all the sexy scenes just takes the horniness to 11. This explains a lot of why I "matured early". Hello all, I have been banging my head on this problem for a week and I need help.
I am building a game engine based on SDL2. It features is a text-based audio format (reminiscent of the C64 trackers) which I replaced all the WAV sounds with. The WAV implementation used SDL_Mixer, now I am using SDL audio feeding samples to a callback.
Problem: when I build my library for Linux in CI, the audio starts with a little delay that makes it unusable for SFX (e.g, you press a button and the sound comes when the action is over).
I don't have this problem if I build locally, on MacOS builds (local and CI) and WASM (local and CI). I did not have this problem with SDL_Mixer. It's only the linux CI build being problematic.
I think it's related to some system dependencies like ibus, wayland, X11, or alsa, because - taking a dump of the compiled artifacts - in the local build I see a bunch of symbols coming from those that I don't see in the CI build. However, installing those dependencies in CI did not fix the issue.
Just for having said that: I am using same CMake everywhere, same LLVM version, and vcpkg to keep all the dependencies in check.

Hi, I’m an 8th grader at the time of writing this, and planning to try out making my own guitar pedals, maybe with my dad. I thought it’d be a fun hobby since I play guitar a lot, but I have no money for my own pedals. My dad said he’d be interested in me making my own since it’ll teach me about electronics and shit like that. I just don’t know how to start. I’ve looked at some YouTube videos on making fuzz pedals, since they’re the easiest to make or something, but I want to know what else I could look at. I need a wah wah pedal and an overdrive pedal, I only have a crappy distortion pedal and a fuzz pedal, so I’ll probably try to make some new ones.

Hello everyone, I'm hoping I used the right flair.
I had major bottom Transgender surgery 5 months ago and have been in and out of the hospital with complications. UTIs and skin issues in a nutshell without being too graphic. I am a Transgender man and use he/him pronouns.
I had new skin issues pop up and then a really bad fall and hit my head on bedframe. I went to a hospital I never went to before this month and only had 30 minutes of sleep in over 2 days. Was awakened by a food tray banged on bed railing and had nurses come into my room nearly coming to blows with each other. Kept getting called she and not he. Felt that my being trans was against the laws of nature and God. That I should do the world a favor and kill myself, when that was and is the farthest thing I want to do. The surgery was too make me more comfortable and confident in the world - because I want to exist.
My mom and sister were my main abusers and sound was used as a weapon. My mother hit me over the head with a frying pan for daring to fall into the floor of a dilplated trailer while trying to put a Thanksgiving turkey in the fridge while my leg was still in the floor. My sister used her guitar to wake me up right after falling asleep and threatened me with a gun. My mom abused my father. My dad was sometimes abusive to me but he was who I was closest to. Outside the household, I was closest to my maternal grandmother - we bonded over books and love of cats. She was the only one I kept in contact with after moving to a different state and my father who died at the same time. She died 6 years ago of cancer.
Had severe panic attacks and multiple bouts of vomiting due to the things in the hospital. Ended up leaving against medical advice because I felt that my mental health was at more risk and not being able to sleep was starting to make me see things. Kept seeing and feeling like my cat was jumping on my bed. Will likely be the one and only time I left AMA. Knew there was other hospitals who I could go to and had options. I went home for few days and got some sleep and take care of my cat. Now back in the ER and took an Uber, so I knew what hospital I would go to.

I'm staying at my dad's house over the summer, and my room here is very blank.
I've managed to fill up a few walls thanks to some of the decorations I've bought for my dorm. But it didn't seem to be as much as I thought lol.
I'm trying to go for a more filled up look, the room is pretty small so I find that by filling the room up makes it feel more cozy than claustrophobic.

I'm looking for more ideas on what I can put up for very cheap or free (i.e. stuff I might just have lying around, or stuff I can pretty simply make from stuff I might just have laying around. No suggestions here are bad, my dad has tons of things that he'd be fine with me nabbing.)
Rn I'm thinking fairy lights to string across the room, get more of the fake ivy (it's really only in one corner, if I get more it'll look more cohesive). Maybe a wall hanger for my guitar. But other than that im pretty loss. Ive never really had to decorate a room before, my rooms before have just sorta been a combination of things ive amassed over 19 years of life lmao.

Since they released So Much (For) Stardust, I've seen their concerts and they are on a different universe than their previous tours, idk about ya'll, but Patrick's vocals are on another level, wich is something kinda weird for someone his age singing that high, dude's totally a beast and it shows he takes care about his voice unlike other rock singers, I've heard some UTCT or Infinity STUDIO recordings that sounds WORSE than Patrick LIVE now. Joe seems to be way better with the band after feeling uncomfortable while making MANIA with all the procesed guitars, I think Stardust did quite a job to re-validate his place in the band. Andy is KILLING IT on the drums, specially on the Stardust's songs. And Pete might not be doing backflips again or whatever, but the simple fact that they are playing songs from Folie or FREAKING I'VE GOT A DARK ALLEY tells a lot about how much he is enjoying their current tour, and how in sync now the band is.

Pros : I’m usually not much into sunburst finish, but this one looks gorgeous for some reason. All golden hardware. Mint condition with original case. Always wanted a maple fretboard Strat. Only 250 of these left handed models were made. Might be a unique chance to get one.
Cons : I already have an American Professional Strat (black). Price is steep, 1900$us, seller won’t go down. Would need to drive 7 hours total if I want to try it first. Seller could ship it, but then I wouldn’t be able to try it before buying.
Debating between getting the guitar, or a brand new amp head. I currently have 3 guitars and 3 amps (2 heads, 1 combo). I’ve been wanting a new amp head for a while, haven’t bought new since 2006. The amp would be around the same price as the guitar. I was just about to make a move for the amp. I wasn’t considering getting a new guitar at all before seeing the ad. I’ve bought a guitar from this same guy before, so he’s trustworthy. I barely have space for a 4th guitar though, while the amp I could just stack on top of one of my actual head.

Hi all,
I bought this fella for a mini mixing desk.
Stupid thing took about 5 months to come to me but it finally arrived, and what do you know, it's missing the 2.1mm plug.
Anyway, I'm miffed and confused. Symbols suggest it's double insulated, which I've always thought meant no earth. The 2.1mm power connector will only have 2 pins so I have to make a decision here and I'd like to know the correct option.
A quick probe shows earth pin shorts to the earth wire, and open circuit between active/neutral and the other wires - just what I'd expect.
Gut instinct tells me to just cut the earth wire off and solder up as required, but I figured I'd better ask people who have more experience dealing with transformers than me. What say you Reddit?

Essentially, I think the world of one piece back then (pre-floods), consisted of one large or a couple large continents comprised of the Ancient Kingdom, tribes of the various races we’ve seen so far, and the 20 other kingdoms that eventually founded the WG, each being much more secluded with closed borders as the lack of oceanic borders and shared landmass made every country much more territorial and constantly at war (similar to our own world). I think the Ancient Kingdom must’ve had a strict status quo, with Joyboy paralleling Oden being the natural born adventurer who wanted to explore. Refusing to follow the rules of his Kingdom, he became the first pirate and first person to actually set out to sea and encounter all different sorts of people and races.
Through his explorations around the world and infectious ability to bring smiles and make friends/allies wherever he went, he was able to bring all races together to the Ancient Kingdom and usher in a sort of prosperous utopia where everybody working together contributed to it becoming the most advanced civilization. Think about it, a country where the fishman, giants, sky people, buccaneers, minks, and etc all use their unique abilities and knowledge in unison to make the best kingdom, what a beautiful concept that’s reflected also in Luffy’s crew and extended allies. Who wouldn’t want to leave their shitty oppressive country and be a part of this? This scared and threatened the other kingdoms, which led them to team up against the Ancient Kingdom and segregate the world again to maintain their social hierarchy (void century, creation of the red line, celestial dragons, etc).
This would line up with several other existing theories, where all the races seem to worship some sort of Sun God and have a variation of a sun-esque tattoo, symbolizing their allegiance to the Ancient Kingdom. It also follows the Pangea theories but I won’t go to deep into all those.
A key element to this theory comes with the character Toki. Being someone who personally knew Joyboy and of his eventual return, she fell in love and decided to have her child with Oden because she thought he was the spitting image of Joyboy’s adventurous and infectious spirit, and believed that their child would inherit that same will and be the Joyboy of the current era. She likely saw the same thing with Roger and that’s why she put her full faith and trust into them being the men who would help her set the pieces in motion for the next generation to bring the Dawn (maybe she was Joyboy’s lover back in the day, who knows). Obviously neither Ace or Momonosuke became Joyboy, but it would’ve made sense for her to make that wager. It’s a common theme in One Piece for inherited will to not come from actual genetics, but nonetheless Roger and Oden still were critical in influencing the next era and Luffy (Joyboy’s actual return).
