I get a lot of male attention. A lot of the guys I’ve had a crush on, usually like me back. But they always end up choosing someone else. Why is that?
I asked my friend on what they think is the reason behind this is. One of them said that I don’t make it apparent enough to people, that I have goals and am serious abt pursuing them. One said I’m too intimidating, and that men usually go for girls or women for are below or within their level/league.
Idk who to believe. Maybe I do present mysef as someone unserious too often. And I think the reason behind that is bc I was always told that I was too much of a snob. And so to compensate for that, I try to jest and resort to smiling and laughing things off whenever I would get hurt. I know it’s an extremely toxic habit. One I need to address and alleviate ASAP. And I’m working on it.
As for the intimidating part. I used to think that I didn’t appeal myself as someone intidating enough. Yk, enough to be able to pull the good guys that could handle independent and intimidating women. And so I tried to seem more so, which might have been the wrong choice. Cuz now I seem TOO intimidating to people outside, which I think would give them one hell of a shock once they get to know me. Cuz then they’d know how I truly behave and think. Idk what to do.
How do I pull the serious, goal-oriented, mature typa guys? How do I behave? What do I do?

Comp plans discussed here have me feeling burnt
I sell structures that have a lot of moving parts and come packaged with a full suite of supporting equipment so it takes a lot of technical knowledge, time and effort assessing each customer’s need, and how we can value engineer a solution that works for the budget.
I get 0.5% and a $75k base for structural material sales (agricultural). Consistently a top earner and one of the two top reps in terms of technical knowledge. Pulled around $106k last year off of $5M invoiced.
They then moved me from my sales estimating/design role (technical sales, only dealing with qualified large scale accounts, not responsible for much more than doing the presentation and adjusting quotes) to full-cycle sales (qualifying, closing, quoting, etc) which is much more responsibility (at least 2x fold).
However, they kept my comission structure the same as when I was estimating, with the excuse that my base rate is 2x the other reps (their comission rate is 1.25% vs my .5%, I get $36/hr they get $18/hr). They also took away my 1 week per month of WFH while the senior rep gets full time WFH, despite me outperforming him consistently in terms of activity and entered dollars. When confronted about this, the track record “isn’t proven enough”
Even with no pipeline (I didn’t get direct leads when I was estimating for the other rep’s leads), in the past year I have sold 2x more than the senior rep (only guy above me in this division, who has been with the company over 10 yrs), and closed a $600k deal which would be our company’s most high-profile/prominent project last month. I am immensely ambitious and hungry, with the results to back it up, but this company seems hellbent on keeping me from advancing my career
Seeing a lot of the folks comp plans here has me feeling like I’m getting fucked hard. I’m 27 and have been in sales/estimating for 3.5 yrs at this company for reference. Worked in industry before, which is why I’m so much more knowledgeable vs other reps. I talked to my manager about these concerns and he said “I make plenty for a 27 yr old” which made me see red. Leapfrogged him and discussed with his boss (3rd in command) who will be “looking into options” which seems like a cop-out.
Any tips on getting a better pay structure when ownership/management act like a bunch of chodes? Job market is soft in my field so getting competitive offers has been slow going. I’ve made millions every year for this company but asking for just .2% comission increase seems to be like pulling teeth. Ownership is so greedy here. $120-140M/yr but there’s never any money for the reps….
Morale here is so low, but all the reps love eachother like family, it’s really just the top 5 managers ruining the entire company for the rest of us (I can go on and on about how under qualified they are for their positions). Ideally would like to stay at this company as I bought a home in the area last year, but logic is telling me it’s time to rip off the bandaid.

I'm 23 (M) and have never been in a real relationship outside of dating in like highschool. But honestly I've always been okay with that, I guess it never really bothered me at all, really.
But Recently I ran into some old friends and found one of them was married, and their partner is like perfect. I'm gonna interrupt myself right now just to say, I would NEVER get in between those two, EVER. That guy was one of my best friends and I would rather die than ruin his happiness.

Long story short, I was picked on at school and have really bad social anxiety, I get so stressed just leaving my house most days incase I see someone. I don't really have a social life, I have friends but we mostly just play on playstation. So yeah i have to start this like a story. So last night this dream really took me by surprise, which isn't super out of the norm because this girl is a dreamer, but last night really stood out for some reason. I was in this swanky apartment with a friend(don't know who now) a lady came to the door and I shot her, right in the chest. I don't recall any plans to do so in this dream I just did it, and then didn't feel bad about it is the scary part. We zipped her body in a bag and dumped her into the ocean, don't know how we got to the ocean either. Of course someone found out and I remember running from a bunch of guys who were trying to get me after that, like to the point of climbing up the side of a building and kicking them away from me, I fell down and stole the guys gun and locked myself inside of a yellow Volkswagen beetle(I used to drive one 13 years ago) so I've managed somehow to get away from these guys who are now trying to hurt me and I get a phone call from the lady I shot asking me to turn myself in that she would vouch for me as she knew I wasn't a bad person. 🤯 its absolutely so weird and this one for some reason is really sticking out to me. I woke up a few times and went right back into where I left off. Does shooting some sweet stranger for no reason mean something in waking life? Its normal for me to be out running folks trying to trap me, I've escaped from jail and lots of hostage situations in my dreams so the people trying to get me isn't as disturbing as me shooting a sweet lady for no reason!

Hi all,
This is my very first post and English is not my native language. Please forgive me for any errors.
I admit I don't really know what to expect from this post, creating mainly to let off steam.
It might be quite long haha. So me (24M) and my ex (24F) were together since we were 17.
So we have met in high school. We quickly decided to stay together despite studying in different cities. To be honest we never had a real argument during our 6 and a half years of relationship. Small arguments about boundaries that should not be crossed and which were resolved in a healthy way.
To give some context. My ex has an alcoholic mother and a father who more or less abandoned her at a young age but eventually came back. She also comes from a much more difficult economic background than me.
I am lucky to have a very united and supportive family. We also have no money problems and are there to help us in difficult times.
After a few months of dating, I very quickly integrated my ex into my family. We hosted all the parties at our house, my parents took her on trips with us, and I always did my best to help her in her life (picking her up from work, bringing her meals when she finished work, I took the train every weekend to see her in her city).
She always said that I was an excellent, even perfect boyfriend. I have always proven my loyalty and my love for her. She still seemed extremely happy with it and was a bit boastful about it haha. We ended up moving in together in 2022.
This is where we had our first real problems. Since she had no financial support from her parents, she had to work at the same time as her studies. She was naturally very tired physically and mentally. Personally, at that time I really didn't like my studies and I was very stressed because 1 year later I had to find my first job.
Our first arguments therefore revolved around personal investment in cleaning and maintaining the house. I was never really satisfied with her investment. We had a few arguments but we got there in the end. I naturally relaxed with my reduction in stress and I realized that I had a tendency to want to control my environment during my stressful periods. So I made an effort and things got better.
From summer 2023, we changed apartments and I had my first internship and then my first job. With a significant salary, I told her to stop working and focus on her studies (she repeated her year once because her work took up too much of her time).
So, I took care of everything and I gave her €400 per month so that she could continue to live a normal life. In September 2023, she started to go to her business school and I start to see some personality change.
For more context, I am a very introverted person. I have never smoked, never tried drugs, never gone to nightclubs and I drink very little. I spend my free time playing PC, role-playing games or playing sports. My ex was also very introverted, she loves reading at home while drinking coffee. She went out once every full moon to have a drink with her best friend.
But, once she arrived at her new school, she started going out more often, going to nightclubs (in 6 years she must have gone 3 times). She also started smoking an electronic cigarette.
The fateful moment was at the end of January 2024. As part of her studies, she had to go to Barcelona for 3 months. I was very happy for her knowing that we had already established a long-distance relationship (however, it was me who left and she stayed in our hometown).
The beginning went very well but she ended up joining a shared accommodation in February. From there, she started going out 3 or 4 times a week. She went out to a nightclub with roommates except the girls whom decided to go home and she decided to go only with the boys (I never met them and she only knew them for two weeks). I admit that I may be a little old-fashioned and I consider that the nightclub is necessarily a place of seduction (not that my ex wanted to seduce but she was inevitably going to be hit on). I didn't say anything about it but she quickly understood that I didn't like it. I told her that I wouldn't forbid her anything but I found that knowing me she could suspect that I wouldn't like it.
So we had a change that I found radical in her personality. She went out a lot more. Not to exonerate myself, but it was also a difficult time for me. Again for context, I usally give off the impression of someone who always knows what I do, what I want and who I am. However, during this period I was externally uncomfortable in my skin. I had problems in my job and I was overall very stressed and I had very little self-confidence (which had almost never happened in 6 years).
Coming back to my ex, I noticed this personality change and became increasingly dissatisfied with our call times, the amount of messages and generally the amount of attention she gave me. So we had a lot of disagreements over that. She told me that I was suffocating her, that I was too controlling (again I never told her that I didn't want her to go out or stop having a relation with one of her roommates (my instinct really told me that something was going on with one of her roommates but I didn't know who was the main actor in this potential flirtation).
She started lying to me about insignificant things (she ended up telling me that she was lying to me so I wouldn't get angry???) but I became more and more controlling. Big argument after an evening where she told me she was going home to sleep but I saw her in the club with the localisation of her phone. She offered me a break, I got really angry for the first time in our relationship. For me a break means a breakup (it may be stupid but with everything that was happening that's what seemed to happen to me).
After my outburst (no insults and barely raised my voice (I don't know how to get angry lol)), she came to join me to try to repair things (I was very happy). However, we argued for 8 days, sometimes things went well but it remained tense. Also I saw her staying on her phone every night when I went to bed. I found it too weird. I finally broke down and looked at her messages (first time in 6 years), I found exchanges between them. Nothing blatant but I personally find them flirting. At least she spoke to him the same way she spoke to me at the beginning of our relationship.
She ended up returning to Barcelona and we made small promises to improve the relationship. But once she got back to Barcelona she didn't answer me all day. I blamed her a bit for that and set a little trap for her (it's not good, I know). I told her that I didn't like this guy (I didn't tell her to cut contact (I've had already cut contact with girls that my ex didn't like)). And I told her not to talk to him about this discussion (she talked to him about it that same evening). I asked her if she had told him and she told me that she hadn't told him anything. So I told her “we’ll probably have to separate” and then she left and didn’t want to hear anything more. I told her right away that I loved her and that I didn't want to break up but that I didn't know what to do anymore given her behavior.
So we parted ways. I went back and forth between « I love you more than anything » and « I have to cut you out of my life to move forward ». She told me to leave her alone while she figured out what was happening while saying that in any case it was over. I couldn't leave her alone to think. I learned through a TikTok that she had kissed this famous roommate…. I also had to manage all the administrative formalities alone...
I did everything to heal in the healthiest way possible (sport, therapy, seeing my friends and family). I didn't fall into a band-aid relationship, I didn't fall into alcohol, parties or other palliatives.
It will now be a little over 2 months since we have been separated. I accepted it, I still love her even if her behavior disgusts me. And I find it hard not to blame her for not knowing how to help me during this period (even though she obviously tried even if it was never enough for me).
I admit I'm still a little lost. I still love her even if I don't necessarily want to get back with her. I returned to work, I continue to exercise but the lack of physical and emotional affection is a bit difficult. Having to start all over again seems so difficult to me, I admit that I don't like the culture of one-night stands. I want to get married and have children. I'm a little lost and don't really know what to expect from this post. If you have any advice, explanations for her behavior or need more details, don't hesitate.

I made another post earlier but deleted it because i wanted to provide more context for my current situation. In the past, the guys I’ve talked to only want me for sex. Luckily, I never met up with them because I wanted to lose my virginity to someone special who cared about me and who I cared about. About 6 months ago I (21f) met a guy on Hinge (28m) and we hit it off right away. We started hanging out every weekend consistently. Our 5th date, I lost my virginity to him because I felt comfortable with him and like I could trust him. The following weekend he told me that he slept with someone else and I was really sad about this but he eventually cut the previous girls he was talking to off telling them that he was dating me after we both made it clear that we wanted an emotional connection with one another after growing closer and because of how much we were hanging out. He’s always been a bad texter, and I’d have to text him a few days earlier in advance than I’d usually text friends when I ask to hangout. The problem is I don’t know if he wants to date me anymore. The last time I saw him was 3 weeks ago and we went to the club. He told me super sweet things the whole night and was all over me while at the club. He took me back home at like 2am kissed me and said we’d hangout soon. We texted when he got home until 4 in the morning. After he fell asleep I didn’t hear back from him until Tuesday that week. He told me he was busy with interviews and that he’d reach out soon. Then he texted me on Sunday saying that he’s sorry for being distant and that he needs his own space and thanked me for giving it to him. He said he’d reach out soon. I told him okay and that I understand. He liked the message and that was the last time I heard from him. It’s been 2 weeks since he last texted me and he hasn’t reached out yet. I know this makes me seem kinda clingy but I reached out to him on Saturday saying that I wanted to check in and that I miss seeing him & that im here for him. I haven’t received a response. I know he’s on his phone because he’s active on TikTok. It’s just so weird how sudden there was a shift in things. Everything seemed fine the last time we hung out. He was saying he wanted to go to the jacuzzi with me when it gets hotter, he was telling me that he’d never hurt me, and said he wanted to meet my close friends (since I had already met his closest friends). He never gave me a reason for the space and it’s really hurting me. He said he saw me as his girlfriend in the future and it just really hurts because I feel like I’ve been played and tossed aside. I’ve been so stressed and crying almost every night over him. I really really liked him and because we hung out every week I formed a quick bond with him. I don’t know what to think or what to do. I was so stressed last week I lost 3 pounds from not eating. I just feel horrible about this situation and wondering if I did anything wrong. I just really need some advice on what to do in this situation.

I had two driving instructors, A and B.
Instructor A was being a creep and flirting with me (Trust my word, I've already asked for opinions on him here...)
The night before my driving test I went to driving school to pay for the exam and he was there and came to give me a side hug but then "squeezed" me and I just freezed, felt uncomfortable , and it made me angry/sad.
I didn't get the support I needed from my closest friends and my mom during those months, and when this happened just before the exam I had no one to talk to. So I felt like shit because all of this, and the last drive with instructor B the following day was really bad.
Instructor B sort of helped me pass my test by making me go last so that I would avoid traffic at a certain hour and stuff. I could drive perfectly, but as I said the last drive before the test on that same day didn't go too well and I was very nervous (instructor A was there too).
This sort of changed my perception about instructor B that day. He caught me looking at him twice while waiting for the examinator and he'd nod at me. I felt sort of calmer around him actually, I remember he got there late and I was waiting with other instructors and kept looking around for him.
I felt overwhelmed cause apart from instructor A, even B seemed to start orbiting around me. Maybe he was just trying to help me, but I felt like he was paying more attention to me than his other student for example. And the attention from A added to that.
B had to choose between me and a younger guy to go last and he chose me. When finished he drove me home and explained "it was a way to protect you" and said it twice, both times leaving those words half said as if he was struggling to say it. But still he decided to say it twice, he could have said nothing at all or could have just said "I was trying to help you". Is it just me or the words "protect you" were a bit too important in that context?
I know I was overwhelmed but still can't tell if he was genuinely helping me, as I said I could actually drive perfectly. Those words seemed calculated to me..? I don't understand. I even bumped into him like twice and felt sort of embarrassed, I just can't say hi to him, but that day when he drove me home he was really sweet apart from the protecting stuff. He kept chatting and smiling, I remember feeling good for days. So I feel guilty for not talking to him 😭 and crazy

So I joined OTF about 2 months ago as a support/accountability buddy. For the most part it’s been enjoyable but there is one thing that has absolutely ruined my workouts - a strangers body odor. The first time it happened I was in the rower directly behind the guy and couldn’t figure out what was going on but I felt so nauseas I had to keep holding my breath, it was miserable. The next few times he ended up next to me and it was almost as bad but I was able to identify him. I know some of you might say “well, just move!” But our classes are packed and I can’t! I’m paying what I consider to be a LOT of money for these classes and I don’t think it’s fair to me, and perhaps others around him, that I can’t workout for an hour. If you’re anywhere between 30 and 330 degrees, it hits you. And all of this has been confirmed by my friend, we are NOT making this up.
So… do I bring it up to the coaches? The staff in the front? Shouldn’t there be some consideration for those around you?

17M...I've always been attracted to girls. But lately I've been confused.

1. My friends (male) have all broke up with their girlfriends and told me that being in a relationship with a girl is a hassle.
2. All the girls I've talked to or been involved with are just always complaining. And not too long ago, the girls in my class have boycott a girl in my class and I've wondered if all girls are so hard to deal with.

And now everytime I imagine myself being in a relationship with a girl, it just turns me off. And now imagine myself being in a relationship with a boy doesn't seem that disgusting or half bad (feel comfortable around them since all the boy friends i know are pretty chill) FYI: Im physically attracted to girls but emotionally attracted to boys ( i think?)
Can anyone tell me why is this happening? I've tried to think of multiple reasons but Im still confused...I don't know if this is the right place to ask but I would appreciate it if you guys would give me your honest response!

I (24F) was using a rideshare app to go back from my work. I met a guy (34M) in one of those rides and we got along very well and after two rides he invited me to a pastry shop to try his traditional cuisine - I had previously lived in his country and I knew a lot about the culture, food and it sounded great. After this first date we kept hanging out and organize more dates (he was always the one organizing those dates). One thing that felt off in the beginning was that he was not available during weekends. But I justified it in my mind with the fact the he lives with his parents and I already knew his parents had health issues previously so did not really want to make him uncomfortable (yes now I understand how wrong I was). After we got physical I told him that it would be my first sex experience (even though I've been in relationships before never did it) and he was okay with it and after some time we did it it felt do great. For the first time in my life I felt like falling in love with someone. But two months in two our hangout he just suddenly canceled our trip plan saying he is not in the mood after a bad traffic and he had some problems he did not tell me before about. The next day he texted me saying that he has two kids and lives partially with an ex (which he wishes not to but can't leave because of kids - bs I can say). I was devastated for the days not only because he had kids and how manipulative he was but the way he confessed it - over text was very selfish. The days after he said he wanted to meet me to apologize in person and when I said on Saturday he didn't reply and only texted again on Monday. We finally met and he told me about his situation and to be honest I felt so disgusted by myself. He kept saying how he is not happy with his ex because she was always complaining, not traveling, always unsatisfied etc. And he kept saying how he felt love for me and how I was funny and all that. He said those things thinking it would make me feel good but deep inside I was shocked how I fell for a man like him. He said he wished he mad met someone like me years ago and I do not understand it now because of my age. I did not trust any of his words anymore also his ex did not know at all about me, neither his friends or family. I just felt like a "side piece" all along.
TL; DR The guy I was dating told me after two months that he had kids.I am just feeling so bad. I told him to "have a nice life" and he said I can't tell that to him and he just left. I do not know how can someone ever get over it. How can men do such things easily? Now I am also wondering if I meet a guy of my age, would he be go looking for a younger women once we have kids? Is it really what it is? I stupidly still have feelings for him. I mean I can understand having a bad relationship can suck but how can you expect to live with an ex and still meet someone and lie to them like this?
