 | I owned a cheap Amazon knock off for a couple years and loved the design but it was showing signs of wear and the tension strap was stretched so I decided to finally order the real thing and seriously compare the knock off to the original. submitted by DotBetaSDK to u/DotBetaSDK [link] [comments] I decided to go with the forged carbon design for two reasons, because I heard the colored design ones chip and scratch over time and I wanted a long lasting finish without concern of it looking like crap down the road and because I love the look of forged carbon fiber. My old wallet was 3k carbon fiber weave design made by Tamashi and other than the bolt heads and metal siding wearing and bearing exposed it's held up well cosmetically. Functionally the band has stretched and if I don't carry a certain amount for cards they will start to slide out. Comparing the two directly there is a much nicer feel/texture on the ridge that the knock off never had that helps grip, you can see the texture in the photos by the sheen. It also has slightly beveled edges which the knock off did not and I lost a couple pairs of pants to the sharp edges of the knock off when I carried it in my back pocket. Other than that the picture speaks for itself. They're pretty much identical size and shape so if you want to save money and get the cheaper one go for it! Now for the key holder and the pen I think both are amazing and look great. I've never had a key holder design like this I've always used a carabiner and dealt with the jingle. This completely eliminates that which is amazing lol. The pen is my first EDC pen and writes great, it will definitely get lots of daily use at work and taking notes etc. Lastly I took advantage of the sale on their site and used my CC points I had saved up to bring the total for all three items to 100 bucks which imo is an acceptable price for this set. I wouldn't have spent more. Hope some of this is helpful for people that are interested in picking one of these items up. |

 | I'm looking for some thoughts on this print problem that suddenly arose yesterday. submitted by gbarnas to BambuLab [link] [comments] For context, I have an X1C with two AMS units. AMS 1 has White, Gray, and Black PLA+ and Bambu Support, AMS 2 has Red, Blue, and Green PLA+. All PLA+ is from SUNLU. Currently using a 0.2mm hot end and a 0.1mm layer height (extra fine). This is a fairly slow print speed of 40mm/s for layer 1 and 60mm/s for other outer walls, 150mm/s inner walls. I completed a print early in the day of "poker chips" using white, blue, and gray that printed perfectly. I wiped the plate with 99% IPA, then proceeded to print a collection of 5 small objects - HO-Scale details. The job was set up to print "by object" because they were different colors (each a single color) and the number of filament changes would otherwise be excessive. 6 fire hydrants - RED (2X5mm with PLA Support interface layer), 4 vending machines - RED (5X14X3mm), a Tardis - BLUE (12x12x24mm), and 55-gallon drums - BLACK (5x9mm w/ 4mm brim). The red and blue items printed perfectly but the black drums failed miserably with poor adhesion resulting in spaghetti. I cleaned the plate again, modified the project to include only the array of oil drums, and duplicated it. I placed the sets in opposite corners and set one to gray and the other to white, thinking that something was wrong with the black filament (not used in the prior job). I had the same results with the white and cancelled the job before starting the gray. See the photo for the plate and the detail of the drums. Red lines indicate issues. The head was dragging a small clump of spaghetti around while printing which probably removed the bases from the objects center and right side. What has me wondering is that the white and gray printed perfectly during the prior job, and the same job had no issues with other colors. I also tried my textured PEI plate and had similar results with poor adhesion. Print temp (based on a temp tower) is 225C, bed is 65C first layer, 55C remaining layers, and no part cooling for first layer. Top glass is open (also tried with top removed), door is closed, cabinet fan is 20%. Both AMS units have 4 Desiccant trays and a hydrometer showing 12% RH and 71F for the AMS over the printer and 12% / 69F for the one on the side. The room is 70F and 47% RH and this is a finished basement room, temp is consistently 68-70F and 45-50% RH. This job was stopped after layer 4, which means that each of the 25 brims (which look fine) should have the base of the drums like the ones on the left. A few brims show mild poor adhesion but that's because the plate cooled overnight and flexed slightly when removing it to take the picture. My husband and I have a son who just turned 4 recently and he is asking about his “Mimi” (my MIL). For background: my MIL and I were very close and he would see her almost daily on FaceTime. Over the past year my husband and I haven’t really had a relationship with her. She went through a common law divorce and had us testify for her (she would have subpoenaed us if we didn’t), we told the truth but didn’t have anything bad to mention about my FIL. After she lost her divorce case last May, she started distancing herself from us and created a lot of drama. It ended with us not talking with her.
About two months ago she texted my husband at work that she needed time and was tired of us playing games with her. Again, we don’t talk to her and it stemmed because my husband forgot to give her a unit number for our townhouse - which resulted in a package she sent for our son not getting delivered. She cut ties with my husband over a text, knowing he was at work. This isn’t new behavior for her, while my husband and his sibling grew up, she often left them alone while dating men and was gone for periods of time. This has affected all his siblings relationship with her in different ways.

- The winner of the challenge also had their paper published in IEEE TMI.
- The benchmark they referred us to was not entirely appropriate for our research. In fact, we had multiple meetings with the developers/owners of that benchmark before our first submission, and they agreed that our methodology was not 100% compatible with it (reason why we did not do that benchmark in the first submission).
Therefore, I would like to ask about your experiences with IEEE TMI. Did you have a hard time publishing there for the first time? Does it get easier once you have more publications with them?

My wife and I bought two FX2's during the pandemic and idk why I even went with hybrid. I usually ride once in a while on weekends but love 2-3-4 hrs rides and want to start riding even longer (recently moved to bay area). But flat bar is causing quite a bit of uncomfort in shoulders and arms. I used to ride vintage road bikes for $100 in the past and I think I want road bike inseat of hybrid. I also think my FX is pretty slow... I want to be able to ride as far as possible so want it to be pretty quick. Question: I was thinking of selling the fx2 and buying domane al2 or something in that range. Idealy even find the used one but seems a bit hard to find that matches the size. Or I have an option to keep the bike and put ergon gp5 and put slimmer tires and hope that it will be more comfortable? I only ride on bike parts and moved to bay area so plan to ride from redwood city to Sf and sometimes back :) thanks in advance for your advice.

And of course I have ascertained that the high profit machines cost an arm and a leg and with take the best part of a year if everything goes perfect to break even on the ROI.
And units which could only be making half the profits are stioll 80-90% of the cost of the top teir money makers atm.

- DO we know ahead of the game if a particular Algorithm and mining unit is about to explode and make profits, are there ways to determine ahead of time to at least be able to purchase hardware at the right time or the telltale signs dont happen until they happen?
- Lastly, any recommendations for prices, markets, hardware, profitability I should be bookmarking to stay ahead of the game as much as possible that I should be monitoring daily etc?

2024.05.14 16:20 segular Wiring question: outlet/switch combo with only three wires
This box housed an outlet/switch combo that powered a light and a three prong outlet and both worked fine for a little while after we moved in, but soon the switch began to fail to turn the light off. So we pulled the plate off and took a look. Turns out there are only three wires and two of them are hot, and then I believe the third wire is the load line that would carry power to the light. I know for sure there's no ground but is there also no neutral? That would make sense for the switch but how is that possible for the outlet? Why would a box ever need two hot wires? I'm not interested in DIYing this back to its previous configuration, just a bumbling homeowner trying to understand what's going on here. Any help would be great and appreciated!!

However, my degree was achieved at 70 or 75% of our total grade and SNU wants a 80% of total grade ( but this is in american terms) And despite this I still have the GPA requirements to get in.
I just wanted to know if there’s anyway i can find out if my grades are acceptable for entrance.

So last night I joined a call with my friends just to check in on something one of my friends volunteered to do for me. And like out of the blue one of my closest friends in the call started like bashing me including: me having hard commissions for her when Ive paid her the price she wanted, also saying that i have complicated original characters, etc. I really didn’t know where this came from because from my POV I was just hanging out in call. Some of my other friends also joined in but they meant it as a joke and immediately apologized. All of this happened the night before I two Finals. She just has been on my ass for no reason. It honestly seems like she treats me like a kid when I realize someone in my life wasn’t good for me. She always has this “I told you so” attitude about it. Even then my other friends thinks she is weaponizing her past and issues she had to excuse her actions towards others. Honestly Im really fucking loss. I guess really the reassurance I need is that like Im reasonable for feeling this way.

I've seen lots of info about backing up to Backblaze B2, but that is considerably more expensive than the regular Backblaze plan. Right now, I have 2 hard drives in my PC that are my media server and the backup location for other PCs in the house. I back up the most important stuff to external hard drives and Proton Drive as well. But those two drives combined have almost 18TB of data on them. I'm able to back all of that up for $9.00 a month with regular Backblaze. If I were to purchase a Synology though, would I be forced to use B2 instead? B2 for 18TB would cost $108 a month, which is insane compared to $9.00.

It would be interesting if, in addition to the skin system, there was also something like a variants system, where you change the look completely (and maybe the character model a little) and maybe one or two smaller abilities. Mainly to avoid too many unnecessarily similar playable characters.
For example, changing Thor's skin is one thing, changing it to Jane Foster Thor is another. Hulk with Red Hulk and She-Hulk too.

2024.05.14 16:20 LeraviTheHusky I had the luckiest instance of the Metal Horror I think
So I was WELL AWARE of how frustrating it could be and how quickly everything could turn to shit, checking any group constantly out of Paranoia
Except for a colonist named "Bones". A female Waster that crash landed and had paralysis abrasia so she was down for the count for 25 days until a fellow with strange healing named Romanov came to our little slice of the rim and managed to heal her with 0 complications
Now she existed in the colony for a solid while but never handled medical or cooking because she didn't have the ability to do medical work and had miserable cooking abilities but what made things interesting if we have two golden cubes(good lord they have taken for fucking ever to study) and slowly a few people became infatuated with them and then to my surprise Bones and only Bones, had a metal horror erupt from her, thankfully a mob of militor drones and a few good shots put the hunk of metal down and Boned was saved with little scaring
Now I don't know honestly what procced the horror to jump out beyond maybe Bones was gonna become curious about the cube and it caused the horror to pop out? But I was so relieved it worked out and I didn't have a colony wipe scenario due to them

I am looking for general feedback on the concept of the story and if this works as a prologue which will setup the main story about the Dragon Sylar. I'm obviously no professional writer, so be gentle. This prologue will detail Sylar's mother Sythara and the moments leading up to her demise. I hope I convey things properly like how a dragon's power works, and where it is derived from. I will include a google documents link below with comments enabled so feel free to comment there or come back and post here.
