Does anyone have recommendations for a router for a 1 bedroom apartment for use by one person with occasional guests?
I want at least Wifi 6, but 6E would be nice, as both my laptop and phone are capable of it, though the increased expense is iffy. I don't need Wifi 7, I'm not planning on replacing anything in the near future. Network speed is 300 MBPS symmetric, and all 2.4 and non-DFS 5 GHz channels are congested, though none of the airports nearby use DFS-band radar, and there doesn't appear to be much interference there. 6 GHz channels are completely unused. Advanced interface is a must; ideally I'd just be running OpenWRT. Budget is around $100–$150ish, though I could be convinced to go higher if necessary.
As yet I've tried both a Mikrotik hAP ax^2, and a Unifi Express. The Mikrotik was great, but the bugs in the wireless driver made it unusable (for one, whether the 5 GHz radio would work or not was extremely inconsistent). The Unifi functioned well enough, but the options it gave were scarcely better than I had on the ISP-provided router at my parents house, and the vendor-lock in/cloud features are sketchy, so I ended up returning it.
I have seen OpenWRT's List of supported 802.11ax routers, but there's too many options for me to decide on one.

I just started reading through my subscription copy of "Severed at the Root", book 2 of the Wardens of Wildwood Adventure Path and was struck at how along with the normal new magic items & important NPC writeups, there is a whole section in the back that describes a *bunch* of new character options for Wardens of Wildwood PCs, and in fact any Primal/Forest/Wooden Element type character.
Other Adventure Paths have given us new Archetypes or spells, but I think this is the first one that has given us whole new Character Class options!
We get:

• 10 New Ancestry Feats that can be taken by "Plant based Ancestries" like Leshy, conrasus, ardandes, etc. A few have traits that restrict them to just one of the above, but most can be taken by any "woody" PC.
• 2 new Barbarian Instincts, one focused around verdant growth and the other centered on decay, rot, and fungus
• 2 new Druid Orders, one about tending nature and the other about Fungi. Both are listed as Leaf Order variants, but they come with their own Focus Spells and a lvl 6 Feat each.
• A Kineticist Impulse that draws on the Elemental Plane of Wood
• 8 new Deviant Feats to add to the ones from Dark Archive, again focused on either verdant growth or decay

The Ancestry Feats are all marked as Uncommon, but none of the rest of the new options are (although I think this may be an oversight)
We also get a full writeup on the Green Men religions, allowing your Cleric to worship one of the Elemental Green Men with 4 full and 4 partial examples given. They are all basically demigods that embody an aspect of plant life. One represents the giant trees like Redwoods, one embodies seaweed and sargasso, another oversees erosion that creates new soil, etc.
This is a long way from what a book like Rage of the Elements or Dark Archives does, but as a little 7 page section at the back of an Adventure Path I don't think Paizo has done this before!
There is discussion about how these can be unlocked via all the primal magic being thrown around in this AP, but also mention that anyone with access to the Plane of Wood can be empowered by them. I'd have to digest these a bit more to really decide if I'd want to unlock them during play or allow PCs created for this AP to have access from the beginning.

I am pretty sure that is most of them, think I'll get at least a 4 on the rest of my APs feel confident so far, GPA tanked because of some family issues that year and this year, but anyways I plan to get into a Biomedical Science program and get my PhD and get into med school, getting into Emergency Sciences. I really want to get into an impressive school, but I cannot apply for the FASFA due to my parents being undocumented. Currently a Junior at a pretty big school, plan to be in more clubs next year but yeah. I was hoping to look into being an International Student in Germany or Spain, but I am not sure into how I want to look into that. I am worried about all of the rumors of how most countries are not how they seem (never been out of the country so I don't mean to be insensitive) and I want an affordable tuition. I was also looking into the University of Rochester in NY where my brother went, or University of Washington. I really don't want to stay in-state (AZ), but I fear I will have to go to U of A or NAU. Any ideas of places I can go where I have a chance to get into?

My first period is AP psychology. The AP test was last thursday, so the teacher was basically saying "i cant tell you not to come to class...but..technically you dont have to and i woudlnt mark you absent"
So, going with what he said that day, today i didnt come to class for first period. It was actually really beneficial because typically i get to school an hour early (parents having to work and such) so i got extra sleep today. But i walk into school today with 10 minutes remining of first period through the office (because all the other doors are locked during school) and get stopped by the people there. I ask if i have to go to AP classes now that the test is over and they said seniors are excused but nobody else is excused if absent (im a junor, the teacher said that juniors and seniors are excused but he doesnt care about anyone coming to class.)
So i said ok and she asked what is up why im in late and i said because i thought i didnt have to come to class because my AP class is first period. She said ok and looked on her computer and said the teacher didnt mark me absent (but i dont think he marked me present either,) fulfilling his promise, so she wrote me a pass and sent me on his way.
I went to class and called the teacher a liar and he was like "well technically-" and i didnt even give him the pass because i know he doesnt care and i hadnt been marked absent.
This is whwre i ask you what you would do, my parents dont care about what i do. They know the situation and that the teacher is cool and that i wouldnt get in trouble or marked absent by him (because they didnt get a call saying i was missing) so that is making me want tk sleep in and skip first period. On the other hand, however, that would mean going through the attendance office everyday in the moring and they would catch on. I dont think they would get me in trouble but they could im sure. I could get my parents to call me in everyday to excuse me but that would just burden them lol.
I domt really care either way, i mean there is only like 3 weeks left so it doesnt really affect me either way, but i also just started a job where i will be workinf late and i have not been sleeping well after working so extra sleep would super benifit me.
I just really domt know what do do lol my friend (who took AP psych last year) just said to skip and it seems my parents are leaning toward just telling me to skip but i really dont want to have to go through the people in the attendance office lecturing me everyday lol.
I suppose i could also arrange a friend letting me in between classes everyday through a different door but that could get us both introuble lmao.

i go to a pretty competitive high school in a relatively wealthy area and learned about the process, got high hopes, and honestly got a little prestige obsessed around my junior year. I had five dream schools (brown, ucla, washu, northwestern, and georgetown) and ended up getting rejected from all of them which was both a total punch in the gut and a much needed wake up call. the decision for me based on fit and financials came down to maryland, washington, and davis, and as a result of the really generous merit aid i recieved at umd as well as the university's perfect location near washington DC, it was just the perfect fit. After visiting the school, I totally fell in love with the campus, the culture, and having a big 10 sports program definitely didn't hurt it. looking back on everything, i was totally naïve and applied to a ton of schools, which thankfully worked out for my targets, but i was at one point certain that i would get into at least one of my reaches. in the end, im really glad that i didnt get into any of them because i would have never considered maryland, a school i almost didnt even apply to. also, as a jewish student, the thriving jewish community on maryland's campus is really comforting, especially with everything going on right now at colleges. congrats to all of this years seniors and good luck to all the incoming seniors with their apps! and if youre going to maryland next year, hmu!!!

What are people's thoughts on cold-emailing schools, particularly if you teach an elective?
I teach IB DP Business, and would like to do 1 more contract where I am (Japan), but not at my current school.
There's a few reasons/issues why I'm wondering if cold-emailing (in Oct maybe?) is worth considering;

• not many intl schools in general, and maybe <5 offer my subject
• some schools that seem like they want to offer it but get no bites (over the years I've noticed newer schools putting out postings but then presumably not getting anything, or older schools that used to offer it but now don't)
• some schools don't advertise until very late (one that offered me a contract in the past only listed my subject in March, 2 years in a row, every other subject in Nov)
• my current contract weirdly ends in March so I'd prefer to secure another early, rather than go home for 4mo, and redo the whole visa proces again

For personal reasons, I'm only looking for IB DP Business roles for my next contract. Not AP, A levels etc or Economics.

I got a 730 730 split on the March school day SAT, and I signed up for the June 1 SAT for a retake. What do I need to push me past the 1500’s
For reading I studied for an hour total on grammar. I just read a lot. I think I got those random vocab word questions wrong, like “ubiquitous,” or “irrevocably” (I know what these mean, just examples)
Math I studied for about two hours a day for one week, doing old paper sat’s, which were rlly easy, and I was confident in math (I just took the AP Calculus BC exam as well), but woops. There were three trippy questions at the end of section 2 that I knew I got wrong, but I didn’t think that would drop me to a 730.
dsat is pretty punishing.
So to prepare for June 1, I’ve assembled a list and plan of what might help, and correct or help me add to this, please.

So I have a AP coach that treats self check like her baby and is very sensitive who is allowed to watch over it. So far its me and 3 other associates that are on a "list" that she approves of. She pushed away a lot of associates that wanted to be down there and make them not come down there, thus causing a lot of people not wanting to come back in fear of her. We also had new associates upfront train down there to learn so they know how to do it, but when she came to our store she decided to stop that until there was some loopholes, being that her core 4 people did not show up to work and needed some temp ones to learn. So far she doesnt mind it but is a bit on edge since then. She made me and a couple of former workers to read some form of text and a mini lesson from AP and herself of what to do at selfcheck, then we got a paper certifacte that we are allowed to be down there. I talked to my former coach and he said its just bs and paper when the ulearns are the true way to verify we know what we are doing. He didnt want to talk to her about it since shes a real scary chick. So fellas is she abusing power and is petty about how to run a section that isn't really their full responsibilty? Or is she in the right to have us have paper certificates and just fuck it and control who she wants there?

And I doubt she'll trust them anyways.
Bit of context: I'm non binary (25yo) and come out to most of my family, no one uses my new name and correct pronouns because it would be a mess with my dad and grandma (and I'm the one that choose not to change things for now) but there are some people that would switch to what I want in a heartbeat if I asked them, and that is enough for me to know I can trust them with my gender, and I feel validated by other things they told me. Other relatives don't understand it and I doubt will ever call me anything different than my birth name, but I understand I can't have everything and that's ok. My mum tho... She's a whole other story. Also, I'm italian, so I hope everything makes sense.
I've been in lists for bloodwork and other exams and psychology assesments (like dysphoria diagnosis) in order to see the endocrinologist and get HRT, my mother knows I'm non binary and I told her and tried to explain to her many times (even once with my therapist, and my therapist agrees with me that it's like talking to a wall). I also told her I'm doing these HRT things and she said she would help in looking for doctors and driving me to the appointments but that I had to come up with the money for the visits myself (oh, nice, thanks mum /s).
One day, late on the evening, she calls me and tells me

I can't take you to get the bloodwork the day after tomorrow, can I cancel it and take it a bit later?

I was pretty exhausted so I said "yeah it's ok", without thinking much about it because I figured those appointments can be max in a week time waiting list, so I was fine with waiting that bit more. The next morning she calls me and had taken it A MONTH AND A WEEK LATER (she choose the date) and I was crushed, but I manged to understand my feeling, and that I wasn't ok with that at all, only in the evening. I texted her asking to move it sooner or I'd do it myself, that it was too much time and I just can't wait anymore (I was being kinda dramatic bc there are still months before other assessments, but it felt like my life depended on it). She was like

ok but don't take it soon you'll have to move it again and pay again It's not like you're paying for it anyways

Then she kept insisting to postpone and similar stuff so I asked her

do you even want to help me? Might be just my feeling, but it feels like you're always putting yourself in my way even when you're saying the contrary

She got defensive and started saying her usual stuff like that I'm not grateful and I'm so bad at keeping the house clean and she doesn't even make me feel bad about the fact that I don't work or study (this is a lie, she does) and so I asked her

Ok, so can I ask you something easy to do to show me you want to help? Can you call me by my chosen name and pronouns when we're alone?

She didn't answer and kept going on with other arguments, I reiterated but she kept avoiding the question, she instead said that

Whoever you are. If you're looking for yourself. I don't call you in any way, person.

Don't mind how weird it sounds, she speaks weird in italian too, but that "if you're looking for yourself" and the fact that she'd rather call me "person" than my chosen name was horrible, it made me understand - coupled with other stuff she said before about me "being sick and needing the right medical path" - that she's just waiting for the doctors to see if I'm sick and stop me from getting HRT... When I first talked to her about HRT she was talking about the fact that I'm fat, about a surgery I had that could stop me from it, about the fact that she has a genetic disease that might stop me from it etc... And it could have been read as worry before, as being cautious and wanting to check all the possibilities so I don't have sad surprises after I start HRT... But it never was that, not even a bit, it was just a way to control my visits and send me to the path of failure (in her eyes, ofc psychologists would know better than not giving me HRT).
It was awful, that "if you're looking for yourself" was totally unexpected to me because I never had doubts since I told my therapist and that was months ago, and I was questioning for around 3 years already, and I never make a choice without thinking and I never wagered about wanting HRT a being non binary with my mother, so it's all her own mind that made this shit up. I'm tired.
This happened a while ago but I'm still very angry at her, I'm reaching a place where I know I won't be able to forgive her and it makes me actually feel better, at least I'll feel less guilty when I'll go little to no contact.
This is a rant about other stuff that I feel it's related but not specific about gender: I'm pretty sure about the thing that she doesn't believe I'm non binary because she didn't believe I was depressed either, just like she doesn't believe I am probably autistic (my psychologist also agrees with me) and doesn't listen to me when I tell her that I'm still in depression/autistic burnout and it's fucking hard to wake up in the morning, so how the fuck could I keep a job? Luckily my country has public healthcare, it's like €20/36 every visit - even if long waiting lists- so I can probably manage with some tutoring I do to some kids (plus, luckily my aunt understans me and would pay for it). But mother is very pushy to me about the fact that I need a job, even when I told her that in order to heal from autistic burnout I literally have to NOT have responsibilities and take them back slowly or I get overwhelmed and relapse right away (I know ot, I tried). And as responsibility I mean even dumb shit like brushing my teeth, I swear to god I'd never curse anyone to feel as hopeless as I do and as useless, but she can't understand me and doesn't believe me, it's like I'm a kid all over again and whatever I say had the same importance as a riffle of wind, unremarkable and unimportant.
TLDR: My mum is an asshole and thinks I'm mentally ill and that's why I want HRT. I actually am mentally ill (depression and autistic burnout) but that's BECAUSE I haven't been formally diagnosed all my life (CPTSD, dysphoria and probably both autism and ADHD). Plus, she doesn't want to pay for my HRT visits, and that would be like € 100/180 btw.
