Shiny's don't work correctly

2024.05.14 21:15 No0bmuk_09 Shiny's don't work correctly

so for some reason shiny pokemon are tied to their gender that is randomly selected at the beginning of the run in a way that you can't get opposite gender shiny. I've been looking for shiny female bunnery to match the colors but couldn't get it what so ever. I even tried shiny and gender modifier cheats but it doesn't work. so I guess I'm stuck with what I got which sucks :/ I think to fix this ether let us change any pkmns gender in poke center or make it so that shinys aren't tied to gender

2024.05.14 20:52 SpottyPaprika Question about 999 HP glitch in Pokemon HG & SS (Maybe Platinum, Black & White too idk)

So I am replaying SS on my chromebook in my free time. I used the cheats to spawn in some Shiny and Legendary Pokemon I had on my old copy, since I can’t even get most of them except by trading with someone who plays another game. So long story short every Pokemon in ny game except 3 that haven’t left my party are 999 in almost every stat. Anyone ever have this problem? Is there a solution?

2024.05.14 19:28 nirosxs MiyooMini+ vs Iphone for Pokemon only device?

With the Delta Emulator on iOS I recently started replaying pokemon games on my iPhone.
it's really cool and fun but my biggest "issues" with it are:
1.Playing on the iPhone 14 Pro feels not so much easy on my hands. buttons are not positioned well and I miss click alot even with bigger button skins. and also my hand cramp alot if I just lay on bed and try to play for long periods. So how does the MM+ compare to the iPhone in this area? is it much more convenient and easy to hold/play?
  1. Cheats and OS. I saw a video on the MM+ and pokemon that show's that this device is most "plug and play" available. you will have all games and cheats available in few clicks while on the iPhone I have to add cheats manually by typing codes and this can be super annoying. is it True that the MM+ comes pre installed with everything related to Pokemon? games and cheats and so on?
Other than that. I feel like iPhone does 3ds games much better because you can actually have touch and 2 screens properly but I saw the 3ds games being played with a layout on the right side and it seems "Ok" and not something that can ruin the 3ds games exprience.
so bottom line I want a device to play gen 3>6 at least. and my iPHONE is perfect for that but have some issues I'm having trouble with ( also the loss of battery and forcing my self to switch screens all the time for messages and such)
I'm placing a big order on Aliexpress so that's why I'm asking now on the MM+
to make sure if it's the right device for me.
Also I believe i need to make sure it's v2 with RTC? and get a seperate card readesd card instead of the ones the store offer on Ali?

2024.05.14 12:18 ThiccLine Help, locked my hat Pikachu out of Soupercell Slam

Hello, I overwrote Soupercell Slam with a different move thinking I would've been able to make my Pikachu relearn it later but many saves later I realized I made a terrible mistake. I'm still at Lavender Town and I saw the Soupercell Slam TM is only available on Victory Road. Is there a way I can get it back? If anyone knows if there's a cheat code for that TM I would really appreciate it, I don't really want to have to grind to get another original Pikachu or wait until Victory Road to get a move my Pokemon already had before

Account Breached (posting this as requested by my dad because his got deleted) [see body text and images]
"Pretty interesting. This is literally the first time I ever posted a post in reddit so please excuse me. FYSA. No idea if this is related to this post I just saw 30min ago: https://www.reddit.com/pokemongo/comments/1covmv1/how_true_is_this_leak/
Context: Me and my spouse started playing PoGo 2 weeks ago, I played for a single day back in 2016, and had access to the same account.
On 11MAY2024 around 1100 CST, I tried logging onto PoGo and received screen that my account was permanently banned out of nowhere [Lets name this Account_1@gmail.com]. I have not used any sort of cheat, I only play this game with my wife whenever we go on a trail or grocery shopping. Rather, I paid $10-ish to change my gym (?) to be the same as my wife's so we can raid together. I didn't know how raid worked so I initially had a different team. It would be silly for me to pay real money in-game and also use cheat, imo. Subsequently, I received an email that my account has been submitted for deletion. At this point, I thought this was an automatic process after my account was banned.
I was initially upset that I was randomly banned, requested Niantic what ToS I violated, if there were any. Received what seems like a template response that answered nothing.
2 days ago, I made a new PoGo account [Account_2@gmail.com] while hoping my first account would be unbanned. This morning (13MAY2024) around 1030 CST, all my Pokemons are transferred into candies. I didn't have any rare pokemon so that was not the issue, but the issue is that my account was breached, and at this point I made a connection that this could be the same reason my first account was banned, and that the deletion process may not be automatic.
The twist, I work for a 3-lettered organization specializing in cyber. Brought this matter to couple of my colleagues and came up with few theories and additional questions. Here's the note below.
Account_1@gmail.com
"Permanently Banned"
Account deleted. See attached image.
Account_2@gmail.com
All Pokemon Transferred
Account accessed?
Both have different passwords.
Account_1 has 2-factor authentication, Account_2 does not. Did this result in the differing actions? (Deletion vs Transferred pokemons/Different actors?)
Both account's gmail received notification "Pokemon GO was granted access to your Google account" from "IPhone" in "Texas" prior to activity. (Account_1 = 1 day prior, Account_2 = 15min prior to log-in)
Account Deletion request requires Niantic sending an email with a "Code" to reply back with. The said code is STATIC. Amazingly, it does not change regardless of who submits it. Its the same code for everyone.
Theoretically, a spoofed email address sending the code to Niantic will complete the delete process. Second, the *Username does not matter in the Account Deletion form. I can literally name it anything. Cannot test as this is beyond jurisdiction.
Question still to be answered:
How was the email account leaked? Was it leaked/breached?
Why was Pokemon Go specifically targeted (If credentials were compromised, why was this the "first" target out of say, my banking apps?). Either the actor is trying to get my attention (unlikely as there's no benefit, or the actor is only capable of attacking through PoGo app)
Account_2@gmail.com's PoGo is assumed to be breached completely if Pokemon was "transferred"
I can try to sniff the network traffic from the app to see if credentials are being sent in cleartext, but I'm starting to lose interest and am considering just deleting the app. I attempted to notify Niantic but amazingly just received the same template response when my account was banned.
Maybe this info will help someone else, possibly research further but it'll be in the backburner."

2024.05.13 20:48 analmintz1 Tips to maximize your Shiny gains, for next time a 3x Shiny weekend hits.

I see a lot of people here who unfortunately got no shinies this weekend, feeling cheated. Without knowing the strat or the meta, that's what happened to me in previous shiny events, and you can't really maximize your gets. By doing this, I came out with 40+ Shiny's and I only managed to play for 1 day of the event.
The overall strategy to shiny hunt, is to use endless mode, and get a save-game ready for the next event.
Step 1- Start a new endless save, I recommend picking one amazing pokemon (Kyurem, Fairy/Steel type, any other OP legendary, anything with beast boost etc), a pickup mon (Linoone or Diggersby etc, if it's shiny already then even better), and as many shiny pokemon as you can squeeze onto your team.
Step 2- Focus 100% on one pokemon. Don't invest in any of your other pokemon, don't rare candy them, don't give them meds, literally you just need 1 pokemon. Your OP carry that you selected.
Step 3- Prioritize shiny charms (obviously), but make sure to grab these items especially whenever you see them.
Candy Jars, you wanna get as many as possible, because the only way to survive endless is to outlevel everything with rare candies, and the more levels/candy the better
Rare candies, same reason as above.
All stat vitamins, especially Calcium/Protein's and Carbos. In late game, you will want to be outspeeding and 1-shotting everything. Defense etc is important, but if you're so fast and offensively strong, it's not as important. You'll max out all of these vitamins either way down the line.
Money items, like Gold Punch's and Amulet coins. You don't "earn" money in endless, so this is essential. Eventually, you will be in the hundreds of millions and eventually billions of dollars. This will let you literally spam rerolls, which is essential late-game to get more rare candies and other type boosting items like Charcoals/Metal coats etc.
And of course, all good items like Master Balls, Kings Rocks, Grip Claws etc. Once you see and grab yourself a Black Hole, you will be set up for life. You won't need a pickup mon anymore, since you'll be literally self sustaining items for your carry.
Once you have 4 shiny charms, you should stop playing and save this file for the next Shiny event. But keep all this in mind for down the line if you get lucky enough to get 4 shiny charms super quickly.

2024.05.13 17:00 maclincheese Daycare Man has a glitched Slowpoke [BUG]

Emulator Used: Daijisho GBC on Retroid Pocket 4+ (Android)
Settings: Hard Mode, no cheats, no PKHeX, currently playing on 1.03.
Description of Bug: At the Route 5 Daycare, without having gone in before, Daycare Man greets player with the following text...
Your I has grown alot! By level it has grown 18 levels!
This was my first time going into the Daycare, no Pokemon were placed in his care prior to this interaction, and to gain 18 levels would have required a similar number of steps taken to reach Cerulean in the first place.
I withdrew the I Pokemon in question, to find that it has the icon for Slowpoke, but no Name. Further investigation reveals the sprite is a glitchy box off center of the sprite art. Typing suggests Slowpoke (WatePsychic) as well as the Dex number 079. Only, it has no moves. Imgur Link for relevant screenshots.
Fearing data corruption, I put the glitched Slowpoke back in the Daycare and left.
Is this Imakuni? Have I been punked? Let me know what you find.

Hi,
I'm trying to update Pokemon Sword/Shield to the 1.3.1 update so I can use cheats but I can't seem to work out how to do it.
I've been googling for hours trying to find the solution but I've all but given up with that and thought I'd take a shot in the dark and ask here.

2024.05.12 17:06 wolfefist94 Finally 100% complete(right after beating the Elite 4 rematches). Review and experience in post.

Finally 100% complete(right after beating the Elite 4 rematches). Review and experience in post.
Overall, I really enjoyed it. Here are my somewhat detailed thoughts and observations after 100%ing it. General: The only glitches I noticed was Pikachu warping from space onto the counter after healing him after being fainted lol and my player character getting frozen for a second while entering Pewter City's gym. Other than that, nothing really.
Before first gym: the inclusion of the EXP bar is extremely awesome and really helpful. The running shoes are even better. Pikachu is pretty good against most Pokemon. First rival fight was easy ish. Initial team at Brock: Pikachu, Nidoran Male, Pidgey Brock was still pretty easy. Double Kick to victory. The first trainer did throw me off though.
Mt. Moon to Cerulean City: Trainers aren't pushovers anymore and I have to go back and heal more frequently than I did back in the day. I actually forgot Jessie, James, and Meowth are in the game. Whoops lol. Why is Meowth so strong... I picked the Dome Fossil. Sorry Lord Helix.
Nugget Bridge and Routes 24, 25: Nugget bridge trainers were good I forgot you could encounter Pokemon on the same tile as a trainer encounter lol Picked up an Abra(instant cheat code) and Charmander(the best starter) Bill is a Kabuto??!!?
Cerulean Gym: Pretty standard experience. Swept with Pikachu Current team: Nidorino, Pikachu, Charmeleon, Pidgeotto, Kadabra
On my way to Vermillion City: Oh shit. I forgot Bulbasaur lmao time to back track. Now, onwards to Vermilion.
Vermillion City: Time to go fight some trainers to gain some levels. Nothing to report other than the trainers are harder. Rival fight was a little harder also. Team for the rival fight: Pikachu, Nidorino, Kadabra, Charmeleon, Ivysaur Almost got swept by Lt. Surge, but clutched it out with someone other than Pikachu. Can't remember lol Picked up Squirtle Back tracked to get a bike
Rock Tunnel: Taught flash to Kadabra and proceeded to slaughter the trainers within. Lavender Town: I think this is the first true difficulty spike in the game. Basically from here on out, I was perpetually under leveled because the lack of trainers and the inability to rematch them. I looked up the rival team and almost shit my pants because of how under leveled I was. I went around and fought every trainer that I could(including team rocket at the game corner). Was around 3 to 4 levels lower than my rival, but I managed to beat him. Jolteon sucked because I didn't have any good ground Pokemon. Ended up having to cross my fingers with Kadabra. Picked up the Poke Flute and caught myself two Snorlax. The idea of Pikachu still being a hunk of garbage started creeping into my mind. He just couldn't hold his own weight anymore.
Back to Celadon: Time to play the slots!!! Managed to legitimately collect 3000 coins for a Dratini Time to face Erika now. Was a pushover because of Charizard. Nothing else to report. Current team: Pikachu, Dratini, Kadabra, Charizard, Venusaur, and Wartortle I decided to remove Pidgeotto because of Pikachu's ability to learn fly and the fact that flying types are more or less optional except for the ability to fly. Picked up fresh water for the guards.
Cycling Road, Fuschia City, Route 16, 17, and 18, 12, 13, 14: Keep battling trainers to gain levels... Faced all the trainers in Koga's gym, including Janine. Went to the Safari Zone to get Surf and the Gold Teeth for Strength. Took a wrong turn and faced a trainer with Pokemon 6 levels higher than my current Pokemon. Whoops. Decided to take on Silph Co. for the levels.
Silph Co. and Saffron City: I made the executive decision to backtrack and get an Eevee and evolve it into a Jolteon. Pikachu is beyond useless and can't be relied on. Was also thinking ahead to Sabrina and the fact that Jolteon can learn Pin Missile... Decided to hit up the fighting gym for a Hitmonlee. Not as much of a maze as I remember as a kid. Picked up a Lapras. Rival fight was more fair this time around. Giovanni fight was easy, EXCEPT FOR THE GODDAMN PERSIAN. It almost felt like the game was cheating with how many crits it kept getting. I almost lost because of a fucking Persian... But I digress... Picked up the master ball.
Fuschia City: Annihilated Koga. The End. Current team Alakazam, Jolteon, Dragonair, Charizard, Blastoise, and Venusaur Team is shaping up nicely. Training Dragonair is a real bitch and a half though. It better be worth it...
Back to Saffron City: Actually got a little lost in the gym lmao This is the first time I started using Rare Candies because of how little trainers there actually are and the fact that the wild Pokemon don't give that much experience. I do think the level spike for Sabrina was a little excessive, especially if you don't have any Bug Moves or a really solid physical wall like Snorlax. Gengar is a natural counter but can get obliterated with Psybeam and Psychic because of it's Poison typing. Pin Missile took out Abra, Mr. Mime, and Kadabra. Lost Jolteon to Hypno. Alakazam was a pushover because of it's low HP and craptastic defense. Team unchanged.
Onward to Cinnabar: Got sidetracked into going through all of the Seafoam Islands. Beat Weebra. Caught Articuno. Side note: I don't have issue with the balls missing in Gen 1. If you put it to sleep and bring it to low health, your chances of catching it going up a lot. And you know if it doesn't miss, it's confirmed to have been caught. It took about 15 throws to catch it.
Cinnabar Island: Got the secret key in the Pokemon Mansion. Evolved my Dragonair into Dragonite by fighting the trainers in the gym. THIS THING IS A FUCKING POWERHOUSE. LET'S GO!!! TOTALLY WORTH IT!!! Blaine was pretty easy with Blastoise and Dragonite Team has now been finalized(stayed the same throughout the rest of the game): Alakazam, Dragonite, Jolteon, Venusaur, Blastoise, and Charizard.
Viridian City and Route 22: Destroyed Giovanni and the rival
Victory Road: Kept fighting trainers for the levels. Caught myself a Moltres. Nothing else to report.
Elite Four: I think my team is a little too good lol whole team was around level 60. Everyone was a pushover including Lance. Dragonite with Ice Beam is a cheat code and shouldn't be allowed. Hehehehehe. The champion fight was better, but my team was a little too good for Blue. 🎶 We are the Champions 🎶
Post Elite Four: Time to complete the Pokedex! Took me a few hours. There really wasn't any difficult or annoying Pokemon to catch. 2 Eevee encounters took me about 45 minutes. Picked up the last legendary bird i.e. Zapdos. Only thing left was Raichu and Mewtwo. Got to Mewtwo after fighting Smith. I FORGOT MY MASTER BALL. OH NO. Lo and behold, I caught Mewtwo after getting a clutch freeze from Dragonite's Ice Beam. Ayyyy. Last thing to do is beat Professor Oak, get myself a Mew, and rematch the Elite Four.
Professor Oak: Pretty good fight for both fights, but ultimately he lost because I am inevitable O.o Used the Master Ball on Mew, because why not lol
Elite Four Rematches: Steamrolled them since I kind of went out of order lol
Final thoughts: Really, really good ROM hack. I think the game suffers from poor design from the original creators. Where are all the trainers?! Why are psychic so effing broken?!!?!!?!
A playable girl character is awesome. Running shoes are awesome. Gym and E4 rematches makes total sense. More difficult game overall until the very end game where EXP and TMs are basically unlimited. The game was way more balanced than the original. I will say that if the same care and attention is put into Emerald Legacy, it's going to be one of, if not, the best Pokemon games in existence.
Rant over.

2024.05.12 12:30 twiddlebit How to change egg rarities and shiny rates (offline version)

Disclaimer: This might be controversial to some because it looks like cheating, but personally I believe in playing a game the way you want to, and so long as it's offline then I don't think there's any harm.
I edited one of the files to change the rarities and shiny rates of eggs. I did this because I don't really have 100s of hours to spend grinding out legendaries and shinies and I wanted to play the game in a more casual way.
The code I've written changes egg hatching and uses custom weights (which you can edit to your liking) to determine the rarity of the pokemon that hatches as well as the weights for different types of shiny. I've also added two new features (which are optional), the first is a 50% chance to hatch a pokemon you haven't caught before, and the second feature will upgrade the shiny level of a pokemon you hatch if you have caught it before. More details are added as comments in the code.
How to make these changes:
  1. install the offline version of the game by following the instructions here
  2. download this edited egg-hatch-pahse.ts file here
  3. copy the new file into the pokerogue/src folder and overwrite the old one
The changes are contained to the generatePokemon() function at the bottom of the file. Look there if you want to make edits.
notes:
  1. this code overrides the egg rarity, which means the color of the egg means nothing (except how long it takes to hatch an egg). This is mostly because I wanted to keep the changes contained to a single file, but also because I don't know where to change the egg rarity.
  2. I don't really know anything about javascript so my code might contain bugs (probably true even if I did know javascript), I've done some testing and everything seems to work as intended. If you experience any bugs you should be able to redownload the original file and refresh your game, and that fixes most things.
  3. The game is still a work in progress so I can't promise the code will still work with future versions of the game.
