Hey guys. We adopted a cute little cat, 7 months old, just a couple of weeks ago. Unfortunately, she somehow escaped from her very tight harness after a vet appointment and ran up a tree last friday. We tried to coax her down for like 6 hours until it got dark, so we continued to check on her throughout the night, so that hopefully someone could help us in the morning. Sometime between 3:00 and 5:00 AM though, she dissappeared.
We've left food and water out for her, and left a little bit of her litter by the window. I've left one of my sweaters outside so she can recognize my scent. We're going on consistent walks of the area with food and toys, and looking in every nook and cranny with a flashlight for her. We've put up posters, alerted neighbors, posted on facebook groups, and put her up on local lost pet websites. She is microchipped in our name, but she tore off her collar in the tree.
We're doing everything we can, but it's so discouraging. We wonder if she got hurt climbing down the tree and crawled off somewhere to die... :( We also are so worried that since we only had her for less than two weeks, she doesn't really recognize our house as home, and doesn't care to come back. We don't know her history before we got her, so we have no idea if she's comfortable as a stray. She's also very shy, and loves to hide, and there are more places to hide in our area than we could ever look. She lovvvvved neck scratches though, so maybe that would spur her to come back? I just can't see why she was so eager to escape when we gave her so much love, and it seemed like she loved us too. She was so comfy and happy here.
I guess my question is... Do you think there's any chance we find her, or she comes back, when we only had her for two weeks? And is there any more we can do?

It’s a long story but I’ll try to make it short. My partner (23M) and I (24F) both have issues which have caused fights and near-break ups before, but we want to work through our individual problems together. He recently moved 4 hours away for his job and when he came home this weekend to visit things were slightly awkward between us. Day 2 he accuses me of not loving him anymore and not wanting to be with him, which came out of nowhere and I was upset. I told him it wasn’t true but he wouldn’t believe me and we fought, during the fight he told me that he thought the awkwardness during this visit was because I was jealous. I have never really been jealous before, and when I am I try to work it out by myself because I know usually it’s not his fault, so that was strange to me. I asked him why he would assume I was jealous and he didn’t really know how to answer so I pointed out how I’m never jealous. I even cited examples of times I could’ve been jealous but got over it without even bringing it up to him, like the fact that he searches his ex and one of his coworkers on Facebook all the time (at least weekly I think), which used to bother me a little but I got over it. Or how one time he lied to me for a week straight about a girl he wanted to start a band with, told me he met her through a friend and he wanted to practice with her at that friends house with him present when in fact he had met her on tinder before we met and the scheduled practice was alone with her at her house. That one really bothered me at the time but I told myself he wouldn’t do anything to hurt me and was probably just nervous to tell me he wanted to hang out with her. He told me he searches his ex “as a friend” because he’s “worried about them,” but they aren’t even Facebook friends and aren’t in contact and I find it strange that he’s so worried about someone he hasn’t spoken to or seen in years, and he denied searching a coworker but I’m sure I’ve seen her there before. For the record I’m not snooping, I just always see their names there when he searches on Facebook. He said with the other girl he was never planning to cheat he just didn’t know how to tell me the truth but idk. Now I’m thinking why would he call me jealous out of nowhere if there isn’t a reason for me to be jealous? He’s been crying and apologizing, he says I’m his soulmate, and he says he’s always been a liar and he doesn’t want to be but he would never actually do anything to hurt me. I don’t know because I know he’s a good person, maybe the best person I know. I just don’t know if I can trust him in this relationship.
TL,DR: my boyfriend searches his ex and other girls on facebook and lied to me about how he knew a girl and the circumstances they were hanging out under. I’ve known these things but trust him anyway. Then he called me jealous out of nowhere. Should I trust him?

I (27) am half British half Nepalese. I have never met my dad, he was always a taboo subject in my family that caused arguments, so we don’t talk about him. My mum has one side of the story, and my family (grandparents/uncle) another. According to my mum he was forced to return to Nepal, but according to family, my mum was very unstable and he couldn’t cope, so he left and never returned. My grandparents looked after me and my brother often during our younger years.
I didn’t know his name until I was in my late teens, I had many unanswered questions. I did some snooping, found his name and where he grew up, found an email online and emailed him when I was around 17. I got short responses, and he sent me a photo of his two kids… my half siblings. I wasn’t even sure if he knew who I was, or if he knew my name, let alone his kids.
I had no more contact from him, I tried to message him on Facebook once and he blocked me. I’ve noticed sometimes he unblocks me and blocks me again.
His children are becoming adults now and part of me wants to know them, and to know him. I struggled a lot with having no father figure and my mum struggled with her own battles and meant she wasn’t always present either. I grew up with many mental health problems, self harm, addiction and suicide attempts. It was tough but I am healed now and live a stable life.
But I do think about this hidden side of me often. Should I try to bury it and let it go? Or should I be trying to get in contact with my half siblings? It is clear to me my dad does not want contact, whatever his reasoning may be. And part of me wishes to respect that. Luckily today, I know it’s not about me, but the feelings of abandonment arise now and again

Hi all -
I made a post on Facebook asking where the best place to sell my airsoft collection (post had airsoft guns in the name), and cross posted to a few groups. A few minutes later I see that my account is now restricted, and I can no longer make calls or use groups. Their automated review process is dogshit, and doesn’t give any sort of option for me to say what the post was about and instead was insta banned.
Is there any manual review process or support I can message or have them review what I was posting? Or am I just completely sol?

After a few weeks scrolling through this subreddit and trying every single way to get my account back, finally something has worked! Such a relief after all the hours spent doing Facebook's job.
My situation:
Facebook account got hacked, the hacker created an Instagram account, linked it to mine, and got it suspended immediately. I was then stuck in a loop trying to appeal the suspension while Facebook was asking me to log into the hacker's Instagram account.
Here is what I did:

1. Email [escalations@cases.meta.com](mailto:escalations@cases.meta.com) telling them everything that happened. You should get an automated email saying they opened a case.
2. Go to this link and fill in the form (if you are not from Europe, you have to use a VPN to a European country). I'm from the UK and used a French location. Link here: https://facebook.com/help/contact/837980354337486
3. You should get an automated email saying a case has been opened. Wait approximately 8 hours for a response.
4. My first 2 responses were identical emails basically telling me to go f myself. However, on the third response they gave me a code and asked me to record myself holding the code. Got my account back a couple hours after that.
5. (Although my account is back, the hacker changed the name of my business account, and Facebook is telling me I have to wait 60 days to change it back. If anyone had luck recovering their business name quicker than that please comment!)

I did slightly change the text explaining my situation on the third attempt, I don't know if it had any impact on whether cases get accepted or rejected. I used less text and tried to be as concise as possible, and I also provided a (broken) link to my business Facebook page.
So for anyone struggling to get their account back I'd suggest filling out that form, waiting for a response, and then filling it out again as many times as necessary until they send you the email detailing the next steps.
If they are still sending you the same generic rejection email, you might have to start altering some of your form inputs (e.g. if you put the wrong profile link, or did not include all the devices you used to recently log into Facebook).

I was raised in very abusive home where my parents are narcissistic and the moment i realised how serious the abuse was they did everything to silence me and they managed to hospitalize me 4 times where these psychos in white coats misdiagnosed my cptsd as paranoid schizophrenia. At first stay the psychiatrist actually saved me by validating me listening to me and releasing me with anxiety disorder, i will never forget that woman ms Agnieszka (im from Poland) she saved my life with the way she treated me. But 2 years later they called the cops on me again as they were constantly provocating abusing infantilising emasculating me so i was reacting with rage and this time the psychiatrist was someone else and took all of it as paranoid schizophrenia. The hospitalization spiral started and i been treated falsely 3 times for paranoid schizophrenia i dont have. I got 3 olanzapine injections and 2 ablify maintenna ones. At second stay i spitted out almost all 90 doses of pills and when i came home i said it to that bitch Anna(her name) on Facebook THAT MAYBE I DONT HAVE SCHIZOPHRENIA IF YOU RELEASED ME WHILE I SECRETLY SPITTED OUT ALL THE PILLS. But the psycho bitch didnt answered and blocked me. Then i landed in that hospital again for minor shit (my mother was only waiting to use this fake diagnosis against me) and she gave me injections. Then again i lost my shit and got hospitalized again and they gave me 2 maintena injections. COMMUNITY TREATMENT ORDER DOES NOT EXIST HERE FORTUNATELY I WOULD BE DRUGGED TO THE BONES RN. But i have ptsd from the whole experience and i dont feel safe in this home with this fake parents ready to use the fake diagnosis again at any time. What i should do to gain safety in this home. I need to prove i dont have schizophrenia but how do i do it? Visit a psychiatrist? 😂

Fiona Sinnott was a 19 year old Irish woman who vanished after a night out in County Wexford on February 8th 1998. At the time of her disappearance, Fiona was a single mother to an 11 month old daughter, Emma.
The night of Sunday 8th started off normally and Fiona spent it socialising with her friends at Butler's Pub in Broadway, County Wexford which also happened to be close to her home. Her friends Nora, Joan and Martina all described Fiona as being in good spirts that night but did state that she kept complaining of a bad pain in her arm. Her friends and Garda later considered that this could have been related to a past relationship she had broken off. Fiona had suffered immense physical abuse at the hands of a former boyfriend and had hospitalised herself after being violently attacked on numerous occasions. Her injuries had included bruises to her face, bites to her legs, being beaten about the head and back and even a fractured jaw. She had confided in close friends details about these attacks but never filed any complaints against the perpetrator. Despite this pain in her arm, however, Fiona seemed to be in good form and enjoyed a good night out with her friends. At one point, she called her brother Séamus and asked him to come down to the pub but he declined as he was tired after a long day at work. He later stated that he wondered if something had happened to Fiona while at the pub and had she contacted him as a way of seeking help. Either way, this was the last contact Fiona had with her family. At around midnight, Fiona decided to return home as the pain in her arm was causing her great discomfort. She supposedly asked her ex-boyfriend, a man by the name of Seán Carroll, if he could walk her home. Carroll was the father of Fiona's child and although their relationship had ended, they allegedly remained on good terms. He had been drinking alone at the premises and willingly agreed to walk her back to her home, which wasn't far from the pub. They left together shortly after midnight.
Fiona wasn't reported missing until February 18th, 9 days after she was last seen leaving the pub. Her family hadn't reported her missing sooner as she reportedly had a habit of traversing the country to visit people and would sometimes be without contact for several days at a time. However, after 9 days of silence, her family knew something was terribly wrong, especially as she hadn't contacted Sean's family, with whom she had a childcare arrangement, to collect her daughter. Her father, Pat, then filed a missing persons report. Seán was the first to be interviewed as he was the last person to see Fiona. He told Gardaí that he and Fiona had walked back to her home slowly as her pain was causing her immense discomfort. Upon entering her property, he offered her coffee but she declined and went immediately to bed. He slept on the sofa that night while she went to sleep in the upstairs bedroom. He awoke at 9am and went into Fiona's room where he woke her up and she had told him that she would be visiting the doctors in Bridgetown to see about her arm. Seán gave her some money and then left the house as his mother had arrived to collect him. She drove him home to Coddstown, two miles west of Broadway. He stated that when he left, Fiona was awake and sitting up in bed.
When Garda began to investigate Fiona's house in the hopes of finding clues, they were met with an unusual sight. According to a Gardaí officer, "Her house was immaculately cleaned, almost spotless. This was unusual for Fiona, especially as she had been suffering from arm pain before she disappeared. Her family told us that she was not house proud and she would have always had some mess lying around. Because of this, we don't believe Fiona tidied the house. We searched everywhere for clues but found nothing- everything had been painstakingly cleaned". Fiona's landlord also stated that because of her young daughter, anytime he went to visit the house it "always had bits and bobs scattered around". Fiona's neighbour's reported that in the days after her disappearance, numerous black bin bags appeared outside of her house. However, these had vanished by the time she was reported missing. Several weeks after her disappearance, a local farmer came forward to Garda and stated that while he had been tending to his cattle, he stumbled upon numerous bin bags dumped on his property and that when he opened them, he found numerous letters and documents addressed to Fiona Sinnott. Regretfully, he was unaware of her disappearance at the time and had burned the bags as he believed it to be the result of fly tipping, something that was a big problem then.
As of today, 26 years later, no trace of Fiona has ever been found. However, in 2005 her case was upgraded to a murder enquiry. Shockingly, when her family attempted to erect a memorial plaque in 2008 close to the pub where she was last seen, it was destroyed the night before being unveiled and a second plaque was also destroyed a few months later. However, a third plaque remains to this day down by the harbour. Despite these setbacks, her family have not given up hope of finding her and bringing her home. They have stated that they know exactly who killed her but that the perpetrator now resides in mainland Europe. Garda have also stated they have a person of interest but, as the family stated, they no longer live in Ireland. According to Fiona's family in their most recent Facebook update, she was "terrified" of Seán after their turbulent relationship and would never have asked him to walk her home. They believe he followed her out of the pub without being asked, contrary to the original version of events. He also reportedly told her landlord multiple times that she was in London just after her disappearance, which was quickly disproven. In addition, a woman's scream was heard at around 12:30am in the Kisha Cross area, roughly halfway back to Fiona's home. Finally, Seán had told Fiona's family that he had slept on the sofa, which is odd as she had a spare bedroom that he could have used. He also claimed that he slept on the chaise lounge which makes no sense as it was only 3 feet long. Although this information is telling, no convictions have been made and Fiona's remains have never been found. Until this happens, her family will not receive the peace and closure they deserve and their nightmare only continues.

I'm almost 30 and have one child who is 5 years old. I'm an OFW and coming home this month because my contract has ended. My child's father is a foreigner whom I met abroad. I came home to the Philippines when I got pregnant 5 years ago, and since then, I haven't seen my ex, but sometimes we communicate and he sends money. A lot happened while I was pregnant: I found out he already had a family and children, his business failed, he had many loans at the bank, and the pandemic made it impossible for him to return to the Philippines when I gave birth. I eventually accepted the reality that he deceived me. My Facebook account is locked, and my name is in Japanese to prevent him from finding me on social media.
Now, we are in communication again, and he sends money every month for our child. He said he tried to find me but couldn't. He claims he's financially stable now and wants to make it up to me and our child, and he mentioned that we could get married. His plan is to take us abroad where he works. He has already filed for leave in July because he is serious about coming home to see our child, and he has booked a plane ticket and hotel in advance.
My problem is that I am in a relationship. I had a boyfriend when I left the Philippines, and he has been waiting for me. Our relationship isn't perfect, and we often argue, but not because of other men or women. My boyfriend doesn't know that I have been communicating with my ex because he once said he would leave me if I did. (I know this is cheating, but don't judge.)
My dilemma is that I don't know whom to choose or what the right decision is. I don't want to deprive my child of the chance to know his real father, especially since he has started asking about him. Financially, I need his help because I'm not very good at earning money, and my ex doesn't know that I have a boyfriend. He doesn't care as long as we can be a family.
On the other hand, my boyfriend is almost 7 years younger than me. I never expected him to wait this long. He plans to return to school, and I'm afraid we might not be endgame. He has a tendency to say hurtful things. I remember once when I jokingly suggested he should support my child's education, he said, "How dare you? Someone else had the fun, and I get the responsibility!" He was angry when I teased him, but it hurt. He doesn’t cheat, but he says hurtful things, and I worry he might one day resent everything he has done for me and my child. I tell myself it’s because he’s young, but I can’t help but overthink that I might be making the wrong bet. I'm also scared because I read open letters about people on Facebook and TikTok, and I know of children who were neglected because their parents remarried. I fear my child might end up feeling the same way or not being accepted by my future husband’s family.
My child has met my boyfriend and thinks he is his father. But I'm waiting and hoping that my boyfriend will sometimes remember my child and check on him. During Christmas, he didn't think of giving or sending gifts for my child, but he did for his godchildren, saying he had no money. However, there was one time he bought school supplies when we were fighting, trying to prove he loved my child. I know it’s impossible for him to love my child as his own based on his personality, but I still hope. I don’t want to hurt him because he waited so long, or maybe I just don’t want to be blamed and called a cheater. He has said many hurtful things to me when he's angry, but I let them slide because I'm afraid of being left again. Maybe now it’s different because I have somewhere to go, and that’s my ex. I still don’t know what to do. All I know is that being a parent is hard. I don’t love my ex anymore, but I can sacrifice for the complete family that my child deserves.

A bit of background. I play on this mobile game called The Grand Mafia and a friend on there is being threatened by an ex faction member. My friend is the leader of our faction. There was an altercation between her and a member due to him posting anti-semitic comments, so she kicked him from our group. Sounds trivial and petty right? Well it does get worse. After some time, he begins to be hateful towards her on one of the chat rooms and threatening to expose her to her friends and family, specifically her teenage children, as he knows her name and found her Facebook profile. What we didn't know is he found some nude photos of my friend that she took a long time ago and isn't exactly proud of and posted them on his photo wall in the Grand Mafia game as well as showing her real name via a Facebook screenshot on his photo wall.
He has been reported again and again and again by multiple people and yet the Game Master will do nothing about it apart from muting him for a day. Things have taken a turn for the worse today as the guy threatening my friend has said he will send the nudes to her children, family and friends, and has already contacted her ex husband and one of her children on Facebook. My friend is starting to worry for her family's wellbeing as he is not leaving them alone.
I am wondering if anything can be done in terms of cyber crime, etc because nothing is being done in the game or Facebook to stop this happening. She is on her last tether and does not know what to do. I have his Facebook profile and we know he is from Cairo, Egypt. My friend is from the USA and I'm from England so I know there is a lot of different laws, etc.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

I (40 Bi) dated my ex (37 M) from 2004 to 2009. He left me for another woman he had only known for a month. Needless to say, it was a messy breakup. I’m ashamed to admit it, but I was suicidal. I had to seek professional help and be given antidepressants. When he came to his senses, he tried to win me back, but I had already moved on by then. I am now in a 14-year same-sex relationship and at a happy place in my life.
Last night, while browsing Facebook, I came across a name on my list of suggested friends that caught my attention. It was “Jzyne Addanice” with my ex’s last name. It was an account made for a baby girl, not one year of age. My ex and I no longer have connections except for one common friend on Facebook. I did a little digging and found out the account was for my ex’s daughter, as I had assumed since the baby bore a striking resemblance to him.
To be clear, given that our breakup was more than 15 years ago, I am totally over my ex. Even yet, I still hadn't moved past the fact that he abandoned me for a woman he hardly knew. However, I genuinely don't care if he ends up having three dozen kids. What upsets me is that he took “our” baby name, Jann Adanice, tweaked the spelling, and named his daughter it. We were pretty serious, and Jann Adanice (J for my name, Ad for his name) was a name I came up with for our future baby when the time came.
I don't want children anymore, and at 40, I don't have any other than my fur babies. Still, I find it offensive that he took our baby's name which has a personal significance and gave it to the child of another woman. AITA for being upset over this?

So awhile back I was watching Diesel Chris or whatever his name is on Facebook or YouTube that’s also another ford tech like I am at another dealer. Never met him but I watch his stuff and he put out a video on this specific tool or a variant of it for dually steelies that get stubborn and stuck on the hub really good. I have experienced it myself as well as a few aluminum rims. Anyone have experience on this tool? I usually beat them off with a hammer but if this works on aluminum rims as well as it does steelies I may buy it.

I have seen this scrub all over my Mercari/poshmark/facebook marketplace place etc. and was kind of interested in getting one.
I understand it was part of a Halloween Mystery Box a year or two ago.
I’m genuinely curious on what the actual flavor of this lip scrub is because there are certain tastes I just cannot stand!
