I have a laptop that can run Cyberpunk and Satisfactory only mostly medium to high settings, fan will just blow high every so often, but I find on a laptop my eyes strain and my back and neck hurt. I prefer to sit in the comfort of my living room and play on the big screen to avoid that neck and eye strain.
So. Should I suck it up and:

This happened in 2010-2011. I was 19 and a coworker I considered a close friend and his fiance were getting married. They were both young, I believe she was 18, and our friend group was mostly young as well, too young to drink or buy alcohol. The night before their wedding, they decided to have a small party at their apartment. I gave a mutual friend money for a bottle of vodka and other items to make drinks. We only had maybe half the bottle, as other guests had brought their own alcohol or just didn’t have any. I took the bottle (I know, bad move) back to my house the next morning, since I had my friend use my money to buy it. They got married later that day without incident and I ended up moving in to their extra bedroom a month later (closer to work).
Fast forward about 6 months, and things did not go well between the married couple and I as roommates. She didn’t work, and he was working the same minimum wage job that I had, they never cleaned up after themselves, the coworker broke my Xbox with the infamous Red Ring of Death, and to top it off, they were pregnant. So I moved back in with my parents, taking everything I owned with me, including the bottle of vodka I kept in the freezer that I barely touched while living with them, maybe a quarter of the bottle left .
When they moved out of the apartment a week later, we were informed that we weren’t getting our security deposit back because the apartment was a mess. I don’t know how that was possible, since I left my room, bathroom and the kitchen immaculate. However, they were to get their pet deposit back (they had 2 cats), and the complex wrote a check to all three of us. I had to be present to cash it, but I was told by my former roommates that I wasn’t getting any of it. I tried to explain to them that we would’ve gotten the security deposit back if they had cleaned up their mess and it wasn’t fair to me that they would be getting their money back from their pet deposit and I wasn’t getting a cent. So I refused to go to the bank with them, and they didn’t get their money back.
A couple months later, they called asking about the vodka claiming it was theirs. I told them that I had it because it was mine and reminded them that he doesn’t drink and she’s pregnant. They argued that it was a wedding gift and wanted it back. I still worked with him and didn’t want to cause any more hostility than there already was, so I decided to give it back. So way back when i was a kid in 2012, i was having a very great birthday (i was turning 11 years old) And when it was time to open my presents, i was a little confused because there was this random game called “Call Of Duty Black Ops II) I didn’t know what the FUCK a Call of Duty was, i didn’t know if my parents were asking me to go to WAR or something. But since i got my new Xbox 360 a while ago, i decided to play this game for a while to see how good it is, and HOOOLY SHIT, still one of the most fun games i’ve ever played in my life. Within a few weeks i quickly got addicted to this game and got my whole friend group to friend me on Xbox and just join up and play. It was the best fucking game ever, i remember the cool zombie mode, playing on Nuketown, my friends blasting new music and joking around, the lobbies getting insanely heated, all the cool trick shots we would watch on YouTube, it was the best and funniest shit ever. That game is literally the goat of shooting games, back then when we didn’t have stupid Overwatch shit. Fast forward to 2017 and i had just gotten my Xbox One. This random game on YouTube was trending and it was called Fortnite. I didn’t understand what the hell the point was and i thought i was too old for the game because it looked weirdly cartoony, but i still gave it a try because i thought i could relive memories from the Xbox 360. So i grabbed some of my friends and played the game for the first time and HOOOLLY SHITT it was amazing. I remember when the double pump first got popular, the dance moves like the floss, and trick shots were finally back on YouTube. New battle passes and skins would come out, new weapons, and new locations and glitches which would make everybody flip out. The lobbies were not as heated as Call of Duty were, but they were still funny and i remember trolling videos on Fortnite being on YouTube. And best of all? The game was FREE, no money spent to get better or anything. It was like living in 2012 again, i miss waking up everyday during Summer and hopping on with my friends on some Fortnite. I actually was good at the game too, i remember doing Boxfigjts with my friends when Creative was being released too. I even remember doing it with random people also. When i would win they would get so mad and i would record it and show it to my friends, i even made a YouTube channel out of it that got like 500 subscribers, which was pretty fucking cool.
Fast forward to now, and i’ve just gotten a Nintendo Switch OLED to experience some games, and i was looking for some multiplayer shooter games that could make me nostalgic for playing both of those games, and i found this random game called “Splatoon” What the fuck is this??? No, seriously, what is this? Why are they octopuses? Octopuses in a shooter game make no sense, i thought they were supposed to be real people. Apparently you can phase through walls if you turn into an actual octopus, which i guess makes the people in the games half humans, half kids, so i’ll give them that. But why would you want to teleport through walls? This isn’t Portal, and i’m pretty sure they had that in one of the Fortnite seasons too, but that season came out after the games came out, so again i will give them that. And why are they fighting with PAINT?? Does. the paint hurt the kids or something? Is it their kryptonite? What’s the single player campaign like? Is there a civil war? How does the American Navy fit into this shit? Are they in the Cold War? What countries are involved in this shit? America? China? Russia? North Korea? Not only that, but what about Multiplayer? Can you get into boxfights? What’s this games version of a victory royale? Can you hit the gwiddy once you kill some me? I guess with paint. I’m pretty sure you can’t do online voice chat anywhere on Nintendo Switch. Which is a shame, but what about trickshotting? Is there any clans? Do FaZe Clan play this game? 2024.05.16 01:07 goldenmoonbunny I need advice training a golden. We love him so much but all 6 of us are getting frustrated I think I am most of all as I get the worst of it.
My brother who still lives at home with my parents got a puppy 8 months ago. I visit twice a week so I try to help when I can but I’m not there all the time. I’ve done some research on training him but again I’m not there a lot. It feels when I do visit that he almost regresses in what I’ve taught him.
So he’s 8 months old now and still likes to bite and jump. I about 5 weeks ago got him to stop jumping on me and my mom by doing what one person elsewhere told me and putting my hands behind my back and ignoring him. He got the message but he would bark as if he was annoyed but would stop jumping.
I’m only 5ft and he’s now about my height on his hind legs and has started jumping again and ignores my arms being behind my back and he knows what no is but still jumps. If we tell him no when he tries to sneak into the kitchen he stops and walks away but ignores it when we are telling him to stop jumping.
We tell him to lay down and he does but only when my dad tells him too and he ignores us.
I have bruises and scrapes all down my arms and legs where he won’t stop jumping on me and biting to the point my coworkers have asked. I have a massive bruise on my arm where he bit me 2 days ago. He almost pushed me down a flight of stairs the other day because he ran up behind me and jumped as I was going down.
He will also randomly walk up to us like when I was reading the other day and just randomly bite my hand and won’t let go until I jerk my hand away or someone prys his mouth open. If I give him pets and let him lay in my lap he’s so sweet but as soon as I get up he gets angry and barks or bites.
He gets put in my brothers room when he’s misbehaving for 10 minutes as a time out but the other day decided to chew up my brothers Xbox controller which he jumped up on the shelf to get and proceeded to pee on his bed (he had just been taken out to pee as well) we noticed even when he’s out with us if we are trying to ignore him so he calms down he will do this. He’s now peed on the bed 7 times. My brother is about to go off to university and idk what to do because he may get worse not having my brother around. (This wasn’t the original plan as he was planning to get his degree at the community college college but they removed the program at the end of last summer so he’s having to transfer his credits to a university)
I sometimes will hide in my old room with my mom’s cat when he comes inside but he won’t stop barking at the door until I come out if he smells me.

I am looking to buy a wheel and pedals for my first sim setup. I live in a small apartment so no room for a whole frame and seat until i move to a bigger place.

Like most of us who have been playing for ages, I'm extremely excited to see the influx of new players. It's nice having so many more people who enjoy the game. That being said, a lot of people here seem to be unaware of basic etiquette when it comes to help requests and mod suggestions.
When asking the community for help with your load order, it helps if you actually type up your modlist in order. You do this by hitting the entereturn key twice after each mod. It will arrange it in list format. I realize this takes a lot longer than say dropping a bunch of screenshots, but it makes it so much easier to read and diagnose problems.
In the end, you are asking the community for a favor, we all love modding, so we're happy to help, but let's not make it harder than it has to be.
But Demon, what if I only need help with "insert mod name here".
It doesn't really matter if that's what you think the problem is from, without seeing your entire load order it's next to impossible to diagnose problems because we have no idea what other mods are interacting with "insert mod name here".
When searching for new mods, it helps to use a browser to search online. I search on Google and Bethesda.net to find specific mods. If I know what I want a mod to do, but not the mod itself or if it even exists, then I search Google for mods that do the thing I want. Then I can narrow down my Bethesda search by searching the mod by name, if it is on xbox. I know the search function on Bethesda sucks, like hard. Using this methon, you can find what you're looking for on your own.
But Demon, why should we go to all that trouble when someone will probably just tell us what we want to know?
Look, if you want to live your life at the whims of others, then that's cool, but you literally have limitless information at your fingertips. If you're not willing to put in the effort to utilize that information, then your modding future will probably be short-lived. There is a lot of troubleshooting and research involved when it comes to a successful modded playthrough, especially with heavy LOs. It's like any other thing you learn to do. It takes study and practice to become competent.
I hope everyone will read this with an open mind, I love seeing this sub get repopulated with new players. I'm happy to welcome you all and to help out in any way I can. This is just me pointing out the etiquette that I'm sure the great majority of you are unaware of.

Purely just curious what others thoughts are and if they notice any thing -
been noticing that in my console stack we all seem to have one really good round but one teammate per round can barely squeeze in a kill with 10 assists but the other will get 10-12. Next round said successful teammate is stoked and ready for another great round only for the person who got 1 kill to now get 10 and the other can barely get a kill...
I've noticed this way more with my usual stack I play with and we are all pretty evenly skilled so it trips us out and can become really infuriating when you have a hot game but then for some reason can barely get one kill.
Even when I soloQ or as a Dou have seen this happening. In solo it feels horrid because I'll play light pop off and then next round just feel like im dragging my team. Have seen it happen in dou where our teammate gets like 14 kills and then gets 1 the next round...
At first I went with logical options of folks turning on and off their illegal gaming chairs, switching from older bro to younger bro controller rounds, or just homeboy decided to pound his drink after the first win. But when this started happening on a reoccurring pattern within my own team where we were getting increasingly frustrated by this on/off game it really begun to dawn on me that it seems to be system implemented through engagement retention that is live altering games or server ping.
Why it could be server ping is the two teammates i play with are on east coast and within 30 mins of each other - im far out west and will generally have 50-80ms latency no matter what (yes I have good internet and am waiting on fiber to get to my area and on ethernet). One of those guys is on PS5 while were both on xbox. This mix has given me a clue to is its a ps5 dominated lobby or ps5 buddy will usually do better, than my xbox friend and ill barely be having hits registering even though I see the bullets lighting up the character. Next round we get in it seems to be more xbox and I assume a westcoast server because ps5 friend can now barely get a kill and im finishing with 10 kills while fellow xbox did fine. Final is xbox/steam we must be connected to a eastcoast server as my other xbox teammate is taking the lead but im still not getting great hit reg and ps5 is doing avg.
IF it's all server based issues with cross play I get it, but its so atrocious that its really ruining the gameplay experience because your own skill level seems to change every match that is dependent on a random symbol appearing on the side of the screen and you have no idea the relative scale of your disconnect. I feel it can almost start creating a psychological issue where you are questioning yourself constantly. But it really sucks with ranked as you'll bring down your own rank and teammates even when you could be trying your absolute hardest - it's also why Ive been more chill when someone in my rank just has a bad game.
Why I am starting to feel it is something within the game is that it seems to rotate through us almost on a pattern to the point where we make bets of who will pop off next and seem to call it pretty well. While im not sure if its there the overall feeling since the updates is that it reminds me of Halo Infinite where every single round was basically predicted to the tee. Meanwhile theres other patents out there that clearly outline how its easy for companies to implement live software changes that lower your bullet damage only against an enemy so you lose, get more enraged and thus stay on the game longer trying to redeem yourself. They can turn this up for the player that isnt confident in themselves or to give you a little dopamine high so you play one more as well. This is the feeling Im starting to notice that is bothering me as it was never there in beta or S1 but has been ever creeping up.

Hello, I don’t typically do this but I need some advice about how to approach my girlfriend. She is an amazing, beautiful, kind and overall wonderful person and I love her very dearly. We have a medium distance relationship as she lives in another state and we first met each other online. We are gaming partners and frequently hang out together over Xbox and have occasional trips where we visit and spend time in person together.
However, she has over the course of our relationship shared certain details regarding previous relationships. To be brief, they were harmful and they caused her lots of pain and she has a lot of fears in our relationship because of it. I am younger and it’s my first real meaningful relationship and I don’t want to mess it up but I feel like I definitely am. I believe I do have some sort of OCD and it makes me obsess over irrelevant details from her past specifically the things she did in her previous relationships. I know it’s not my place but I can’t help but feel negative and jealous and it’s affecting the way I am with her. I want to be a better person for her but I don’t know how. She is also constantly afraid that I’m going to cheat or leave her because it’s something that happened before. I don’t know how to navigate this and make her feel secure and I don’t know how to stop being negative. Today I sent her a series of texts practically shaming her past decisions and it wasn’t until I really looked at my texts that I saw how bad I was. I’m a moron that’s practically slowly chipping away at an amazing relationship with this amazing woman.
