Hi! So my HP laptop of 5 years that I used for work and some light gaming crapped out on me so I’m in the market for a new mini pc/laptop. I am relatively unfamiliar with how mini pcs operate and their capabilities. Right now I’m in the market for a new computer, I am contemplating purchasinga mini pc with a budget of about $~400. I work in digital marketing so I’d need something where I can browse the web, have multiple tabs open, take video calls, work in spreadsheets and do some slight graphic editing online. I also play a little Old School RuneScape, so ideally the mini pc would be able to run a game like that. Do you all have any recommendations? Would a mini pc be able to support this kind of stuff? So yesterday I was gaming and I noticed the GPU fans span like crazy, when I quickly checked the temps it sat around 83 degrees celcius. After 3 minutes the screens disconnected. The PC was still on, the mouse and keyboard etc were all still functional (as in they gave light) and the sound was still working. But the screens disconnected.
Is this my GPU overheating?
I had overheat issues before with the CPU (95 degrees) but that would always hard crash my PC and I'd get a blue screen and stuff. When I fixed the CPU temps (between 65 and 75 celcius while gaming) I never had this happen again.
Now my monitors just disconnect when the GPU gets hotter but everything else works. But I don't think 83 is THAT hot, or is it? Anyone have any idea what I can do?

so i upgraded my pc with new psu - graphics card - ram - ssds mother board is the only old thing left in the pc
no buzzing or coil whine when i put the new items in pc
downloaded a demo game from steam start the game then the pc screens freezes and my speakers make a du du du du sound the screens black out for 5 secs then come back on
and now i have really bad buzzing noise in my pc under load light buzzing and gaming loud buzzing some times theres more buzzing when moving the mouse
i had a crash one other time from a game like the one above but that never did any thing to the pc
all the new items are only 3 months old i have put my ear to the psu no buzzing when i have no games on and when i have games on no buzzing coming from it
if i turn off all the fans its there and if i put my ears to the back side i can hear it more
i have put the frame caps to 144hz did the same in games and put vsync on did the undervolt to the gpu the day i got it i have tired ddu many times and its still there and i have tired ddu and taking the card out and putting it back in
i have both 8 pin and 6 pin using there own power cables in the rx 6700 tx
so would the rx 6700 tx just get coil whine from a game crashing the pc or maybe the old mother board has the coil whine
would a clean windows do anything or sould i try getting my self a newer mother board and see if its still there

1. Lead character had dreadlocks, was black/brown and it was female(I think)
   
2. Robbery or police game (but not sure about this)

Hi guys
I’m just looking for suggestions here.
Yesterday and last night my monitor (TV) was working fine with my PC, playing games too.
I've booted up today and I have no display? I've dusted the ram, the graphics card, tried another HDMI cable, there's no warning/red lights on the motherboard. It boots fine, I can hear the noise it makes when it wants me to enter my password, but there's no display? The TV works fine for everything else, when it gets to the login screen it even gives the resolution of the monitor knowing what it's connected to, but when it comes to the PC there's just nothing despite working literally hours ago.

I’m working on an NSOSR-game wherein PCs begin as storied heroes. The game aims to combine the core framework of the The Black Sword Hack (d20 roll-under using “the big six” attributes) with the expanded character options of Worlds Without Number.
Like in TBSH, a PC’s HP is equal to their CON (possibly modified by a low static number). CON ranges from 7-18. Unlike TBSH, weapons deal damage based on their “size.” d4 for unarmed. d10 for heavy melee weapons. Currently, armor serves as rolled damage reduction similar to Mörk Borg and Symbaroum. Light armor is d4. Heavy armor is d8. NPCs never roll.
To curb damage while allowing for character options that improve “DPS," I’m considering an approach to damage where PCs keep the best die among those rolled. So, a PC wielding a d8 longsword and a d6 dagger would roll 1d8 and 1d6. If the same PC has a spell that sets their sword aflame for +1d8, they’d roll 2d8 and 1d6. They’d keep only the highest die (no modifiers), so a roll of 2d8 and 1d6 that generates a 2, a 4, and a 6, would result in 6 damage. This way, damage is capped to 12 (barring critical hits and other circumstances). Armor is similar. If multiple sources of armor dice apply, such as if you’re wearing d8 plate, wielding a d4 shield, and benefitting from a d8 mage armor spell or whatever, you roll all armor dice and keep the highest to reduce damage from an attack. As noted, NPCs don't roll; PCs roll to attack/defend against their own attributes (i.e.: 1d20 < STR to hit) and NPCs have static armor and damage ratings.

My new PC motherboard has a crap audio chipset, and my old and trusty Logitech Z533 has developed a constant whine, so I decided it's time for an audio update, and I hope you guys could help me find my dream setup. I think I want to skip the All-In-One 2.1 Logitech audio kits, and grow into a better sounding real audio setup for my computer.

I'm a basshead, so I would love a great subwoofer. Something that can go really low, and give that good visceral thump. I haven't excluded active speakers, but I think I would like the timeless elegance of passive speakers, with some neat mini stack living under my PC monitor, from where I can control my sound. Like some Topping E50 + Topping PA5 (even if this one is out of my budget I think). I would also like for it to be convenient to use, ie only one switch to turn it all on, dead silent when no source is active, no annoying lights glowing during the night. And finally at least loud enough so that I can still enjoy my music when cooking 2 rooms away (it's an appartement, so that's not that far)

I've recently moved for Uni/Work, and have left my gaming PC I built back home as I didn't have the room for it. I've now realised that I could use it as an overkill PC for my office as I would take advantage of it's performance for video editing, graphics work, etc.
The only problem is that the fans are super loud.
I share an office where currently everyone has M series MacBooks and so there is currently no fan noise, and I don't want my super loud PC to sit there whirring away.
The PC has 6 case fans, a fan on the tower cooler, and 2 fans on the GPU.
Case fans are corsair, tower cooler is cooler master and the GPU is an Nvidia founders edition 3060ti.
Motherboard is MSI B450 tomahawk and CPU is a Ryzen 7 3700x if that helps at all.
All fan curves are currently default, and I haven't got much expertise in adjusting fan curves.
Could anyone give me tips on how to adjust the fans to be quiet, while not having the computer cook itself. The workloads I am doing most of the time are emails, Microsoft office and web stuff with the rare bit of light video editing and 2D graphics work.

I had recently got a pc a for a couple months it worked great. One day they told me to uninstall my anti virus or renew and being the cheapskate I am I uninstalled it and reinstalled and free antivirus (Kasperky). After installing it told me to restart my pc so I did and this is where the issues occur. When it powered back on and I got to the log in screen my keyboard and mouse both did not work but still but would light up and work on my xbox when plugging it into that. Ive tried restarting my pc, trying a different keyboard and mouse, and unplugging the pc for up to 24 hours with no luck. After searching the internet I havent found and videos or chat boxes on this exact topic. The best least I found was with a old ps2 port which my pc does not have. So I was searching for help here. • Counter Strike 2. Video editing capability being an afterthought, minor priority. Hello Redditors! To clarify the title, I have had penpals in the past and one that lasted several years but I cannot guarantee a letter or email every x days. I can say though I do always eventually get to responding! I also don’t care if you’re male, female, nonbinary. I do prefer someone around my age. Country or state does not matter either.
A little bit about me, I love to make colorful letters and sometimes send tiny trinkets I’ve made or gathered from trips. I’m a sticker and washi tape hoarder. As far as the content of my letters, I will talk about anything. I especially like outdoorsy stuff such as hiking and gardening. I’ve traveled to several European countries and have limited experience in Ecuador and Kenya. At home I love to watch anime and play some PC games. I also enjoy reading when I have the time. Most recently I read Dune. I have yet to see the movie. Nonfiction, fantasy, and Sci Fi are my favorite.
Other random things, I love winter and skiing, rock climbing, haunted houses (not horror movies), dogs (I have a 3yr old doodle mutt), occasionally 5ks, mythology, and musicals.

I have decided I've had enough with R6 Siege for many reasons. I started playing the game during Year 1 Season 2 (Dust Line). Over the years, I've played a total of 1600 hours. Many people probably started after me, and I'm sure some began with the recent seasons. Let me tell you, the game is totally different now, and not in a good way. Stick to the end of the post because I have a solution for it.
Here are the problems I have with it:
Theme: The old R6 had a darker theme overall. Operators were very iconic, more realistic, and distinct.
Operators: There weren't a lot of operators initially, but each one served a specific purpose. With all the nerfs they did, many operators have been ruined. Now we have a lot of operators that do the same thing, and none of them do it well. I'll explain more below.
Game Speed and Balance: You’ll probably hear that the game is more balanced now, but that’s just not true. They introduced operators with unoriginal or even useless abilities, nerfed many aspects, and changed the game speed. On paper, we have many tactical operators, but in practice, they don’t work because the game speed doesn’t allow it. Many core changes turned R6 into a fast shooter like CoD with hardcore mode. For this reason, and because every operator is nerfed to the ground, people just run into buildings, and the first to shoot wins.
Map Reworks and Night Maps: Most of the reworks are simply horrible, though some are good. Every map used to be distinct and played very differently. While some were not balanced, with teamwork and skill, winning was possible. Now maps don’t even look like real buildings. They added hundreds of rooms and walls that don’t make sense, removing every bit of soul. Every map now plays exactly the same. There is no more room for expression, no more fun, and no more strategy because lots of operators are poorly suited for them. Night maps could return given improvements to the lighting system. People have been asking for them for years, but Ubisoft refuses to listen.
Removed Content: The game used to have Situations, Article 5, and T-Hunt, all of which were fun and contributed to the storyline that the multiplayer was tied to.
Removed Game Modes: Hostage and Secure Area? Gone. Quick matches don't count.
Unwanted Changes: Nobody asked for Ranked 2.0 and the rework of casual matches. Nobody asked for Quickplay and TDM; they all suck really bad.
Battle Pass: This isn’t a free game, so the Battle Pass doesn’t belong here. But I guess it's not that big of a problem.
UI: The new user interface is bad and cluttered. It looks like it belongs to a mobile game.
There are a lot of things I haven’t talked about, but these are the main ones. This game has lost its soul and its fun. I’m not saying everything they changed is bad; I'm glad they fixed bugs and game-breaking glitches, but they did more harm than good. This is not what we veterans wanted, which is why a lot of old players left.
