2024.05.16 04:49 DanEosen 2017/18 Demonic Tapes 1 and 2 - Richard Mansfield Movies

I saw both today. They were short movies of 70 minutes each. The first was on Tubi and second I watched on Amazon Prime. The first movie was far better. I loved how it was two ghost stories - one in the past where the current home owner listens and the second story of what the current owner goes through with the same demon. I loved how the Medium on the tape made the story come alive and her descriptions you could visualize it. A good example of how one can use audio tapes to tell a story and for it to be scary,
The second one involved tape recordings. I just couldn’t figure out if it was same house or not. The tape recordings were somewhat good but the current story overwhelmed it. I am not a fan of using dreams to carry forward a horror story. The dreams went on a bit too long and too many of them. Seriously did the scene with the priest telling Rose he dreamt about the house mean we needed to see the dream? No. That just seemed like padding the time.
I noticed Richard Mansfield the director and writer does a lot of low budget horror films. Are his other films as good or better?
I have seen the low budget director Isaac Rodriguez films - Unknown Visitor, Deadware and A Town Full of Ghosts. I found him rather sloppy with props.

2024.05.16 04:49 doinkdurr IIL White Collar, what other shows/movies will I like?

I love the bad-guy-joins-good-guys trope, especially when there’s a lot of tension regarding whether the “bad guy” can be trusted. Other examples include Attack on Titan, Zuko in Avatar, and Loki in Thor: Ragnarok.

2024.05.16 04:46 Major_Drummer579 How to get more clients

A while back. I made a post on here about being frustrated that im not getting a good flow of clientle. Fast forward im not booked up but my days are busy and i make 1200 minimum a week with a 65:35 comission based shop . I know in a couple months ill be a booked up barber. Let me give you the tips that helped me
Step 1: Always make sure you greet the client with a handshake and a smile and ask for their name. You have to build a relationship with this person. They need to feel welcomed and feel like 30-40 dollars is going to good use. Also it gives you a chance to network and create better oppurtunities in the future
Step 2 A good haircut. Always ask your the person in your chair a few questions to know what they want, for example. "How much are we taking off the top" " do you like your neck shaved with the blade or the foil shaver" You have to go into detail because some people care about the small things in their haircuts and if they feel like your doing your best to give a good cut, theyll feel appreciated
Step 3 Be convenient, you might have to sacrifice your time a little to please some clients but its fine until your weeks are booked then you can have a set schedule
Step 4 Make sure they get your number or insta. I always say something like " you should take my insta or number, if you really like the cut then you can hit me up anyday but thursday since im off" Some would even ask for my number while their in the chair still. Thats when i know i secured a returning client
Hope this helps. Keep pushing, some days will be slow but you have to stay consistent and make sure you work in a place that promotes well and has good walk in traffic!

2024.05.16 04:45 performagekushfire I don't like the precedent revenant sets on the rest of the roster and the powercreep of survivability

my main problem with revenant is not he himself but rather how i feel he's pushing the power creep of the game. As level cap is for the first time in the games' history becoming more realistic to see, it raises the bar of what is asked of a frame further and further as the meta is often judged around the strongest content. What i'm afraid of is that unless you're either A: a warframe that kills everything before they can even try deal damage, or B: You are revenant and have mesmer skin or something similar, Content is going to just be completely gatekept from a larger and larger margin of frames.
For example, as levels increase, a lot of survivability tools become harder and harder to maintain, less effective, until they fall off entirely. example: Health tanking just doesn't work at all past a point and there's not a damn thing you can do about it; nidus/kullervo/inaros have tools to mitigate that will even still become unmanageable as they just get oneshot the moment HP is touched, Nidus can't keep stacks up forever, Kullervo's overshield gets obliterated too fast to the point that he has to spam cast it, and Inaros can only cheat death with his augment/passive so much before it's unmanageable. Furthermore I think it's really fucked that after a certain point the only thing in your healthbar that matters is the shieldgate (which by the way NEEDS an indicator for when it's active PLEASE).
It feels like we're becoming more and more like old bosses were. Full of invincibility to pad for the fact that stats don't matter (see: sargas ruk, lech kril, vor, vay hek, kela de thaym...) It's really gross that even with FULL defensive investment on a defensive warframe, they can't (On stats alone) go to the level cap (that's becoming more and more realistic to see) without serious help. When I started playing in 2018, the level cap was literally a myth that required a day or more of survival, and now it's no more than two hours in void flood for cap, or even just a good few rounds in SP circuit to see crazy 4 digit levels. *HOWEVER SP circuit has decrees which greatly alleviate a lot of these problems
I think warframes need their own version of damage attenuation (as a mod or something inherent, maybe a shard effect?) IF and ONLY IF the content ceiling gets pushed notably higher than EDA. This is not happening NOW but it COULD. I think at the least, we need another layer of mods like rolling guard and adaptation, things that are generic, that any frame can use.
TLDR; the higher levels get, the less HP/armoshields matter. and the design decisions to fix this are going in the wrong direction by slapping damage gates and invuln everywhere that further leave warframes that don't have those tools in the dirt

Top Tier BR parity needs to stop being a requirement. Not everyone needs an 11.7.
All nations don't need to have something that is the exact top tier in terms of BR.
https://preview.redd.it/asrcsg5wap0d1.png?width=1931&format=png&auto=webp&s=f68e242146a5fe329a1d4c9509d6a8e0494cbf58
For example the Ariete AMV is not an 11.7 tank if the 2A7V is 11.7. They are in completely different leagues and that is ok. What should happen is either the 2A7V goes up to 12.0 or the Ariete AMV goes down to 11.3 (preferably the decompression option).
This would of course mean that Italy no longer has an 11.7 vehicle and that is ok. For the same reason that not every nation has a vehicle at every BR before 11.7, it's alright for them to not have an 11.7 vehicle.
I think Gaijin's desire to have parity across every nation with regards to top tier is damaging the balance there and ruining what could otherwise be perfectly fun vehicles.
TL:DR Not every nation needs an 11.7 if they don't have a vehicle that is good enough.
(This applies to ARB as well)

2024.05.16 04:43 Sudden-Wrongdoer2885 Is it possible to never get what you want from RNG in "forever"?

For anything RNG, is it ever possible to never get something good in "forever"?
First off, I'll start by sharing my interpretations of "RNG", using the example of an RNG, with numbers from 1 to 100,000.
  1. Lets say you want to spin for the number 3,000. It will mean that, theoretically, you have to spin 100,000 times to get the number 3,000.
  2. Also wanting to spin for the number 3,000. This means that everytime you click "spin", there is a 1 in 100,000 chance that you will spin for the number 3,000, and the chances for all spins are equal.
However, these 2 interpretations are linked. Let me explain. Only in theory will interpretation 1 be guaranteed, i.e. getting the number 3,000 in 100,000 rolls. However, in real life, some discrepancies might happen, and those discrepancies are like interpretation 2.
So, this begs the question: If you spin the RNG for "forever", will it ever be possible to never get the number 3,000?

2024.05.16 04:36 East_Presence_9834 [F4M] Seeking a full-lit partner for SoL plots!

Hi there! I'm a 25-year-old female in the EST time zone. Feel free to send me a chat after you've read this post fully. I am looking for a 21+ male to do a long-term roleplay with. I have been roleplaying for 10+ years so I have a good sense of what I like and dislike. Please read below for what my expectations are:
Plots ~ My usual plots are a slice of life with some twists. For example, a plot I've enjoyed in the past is a married couple trying to cope with famed lives and busy schedules. It sounds simple but I'm the kind of writer who will randomly introduce somber or tragic elements at once or romantic bits at once. In all, I'm looking for something with equal portions of romance, drama, tragedy, angst, twists, and other elements that make for a fun and literate SoL story. I prefer to stick to the kind of plots I have mentioned below. I do not enjoy sci-fi or fantasy plots.
Writing style ~ I am detailed when needed so I prefer my partner to be the same way. I expect a minimum of 7-8 lines. For example, a dialogic bit in the roleplay doesn't always need 2 paragraphs. But other instances do so I am hoping to find someone who adapts the same way. I also need my partner to be able to play multiple characters as the plot may require, but that being said, your character will always remain the main one.
Writing expectations ~ I write in the first person but I'm open to whatever you're comfortable with. I prefer someone who can do more than 2 replies a day. I tend to be busy during the day but I'm usually free evenings or late nights. But either way, I like to communicate whether I will be active that day or not. I expect the same from my partner.
And finally, proper grammar. I'm a stickler so I'm only looking for someone who can use proper grammar. It's not hard to write 'you' instead of 'u,' sure. But I prefer advanced grammar usage also (i.e., know your quotation marks). I am a fully lit writer so I expect my partner to be the same.
Involvement ~ I prefer if you take the lead as well in furthering the plot instead of leaving it all to me. I am a very flexible and open-minded writer when it comes to plots. I can almost make anything out of something so I want someone who can contribute equally to the storyline.
Communication ~ Discord or Chatzy only. That being said, please do not reach out to me if your intention isn't to work through things to create a roleplay or reply once every 2-3 days. I'm an open communicator so I expect the same from you. If you don't like a response I wrote, you can tell me and I will happily change it. But don't reach out to me thinking it'll be something you 'try out' and then ghost me after. If you plan on ghosting me by the end of this, please save us both our time and don’t bother. If worst comes to worst and you really hate what we're creating, let me know that you want to end and I will happily accept that. If you are not going to be able to do 2 replies a day because life comes first and a Monday is particularly busy for you, I prefer you let me know. If you know you are going to be busy the next month, please don't reach out. I prefer consistency.
OOC ~ I prefer to have a friend in the partner I roleplay with. Not to the point that all we ever do is chat and occasional roleplay on the side though. I want to be able to discuss likes and dislikes with you and have some friendly banter. I do NOT send pictures, videos, or audio of any kind, so please don’t ask. It sucks that I have to mention this but oh well - please do not reach out to me if you're in a relationship with someone unless your spouse/partnegirlfriend is aware of your roleplaying hobby.
I have some plot ideas listed below but as I mentioned, I'm very open to modifications, creating something new, or listening to plot ideas that you may have.
Hired girlfriend. Fame and distance. Underground fighting and its problems.
If this is interesting to you, please send me a chat request. Please say something more than a hello. Please tell me your favorite color so I know my essay on here didn't go to a complete waste. Tell me what you liked, what you're looking for - anything that will help me respond better to you.

2024.05.16 04:36 doudousteve Need advice on 407 training visa and its confusing requirements.

Hello!
I have worked as a stone assistant (NOT AN APPRENTICE) for 3 years in a kitchen company. I would cut, polish, install and got trained to use cnc machinery and waterjet by them. For actually building, the stonemason would do it and I would assist. But I would never "create" by myself. My boss always said I could be a good stonemason but back then i didn't know if I would love it.
The boss (and the industry) is in dire needs of workers and he contacted me 4 months after my departure asking to sponsor me. Since I do eventually want to become a stonemason specializing in benchtops, i thought it would be a great idea. Most workers there were not stonemasons as well so I guess you didn't need to be one to do the job i was doing.
When i looked at the visa, we both thought i could apply under occupational training to improve skills since:
My job was related to one in the eligible skilled list
Had a year of experience in the last 2 years.
But then we looked at the step by step guide and saw that I might need to provide relevant registrations (which I don't have, since it didn't require any). I called home affairs and they said that they "might" not necessarely "need" depending on the job i planned on doing.
He then said i could apply for occupation training required for registration. The thing is when I called the TRA to get a letter saying the job was required to get certification (which is true, TAFE for example offers stonemason courses including benchtop handling etc...), they said they only do that for the 405 and 408 visa. Furthemore, they had no idea about the 407 training visa and said to call home affairs to get the body of authority. I tried to explain them that it's like basically an internship but even then they couldn't write a letter. When I looped back to home affairs I spoke to this lady who was so CONFUSED she muttered some words and quickly said sorry I can't help you and directed me to a regisered migration office.
Where I live stonemasonry is a cute name for bricklaying and the courses do not include kitchen benchtops, bathroom, sinks etc.... It's chimney, gravestone, BRICKS.
So I'd like to ask which one should i go for? I feel now occupation to improve skills would be good but I don't want to have any surprises if they ask me for papers (which i don't have yet). It does say RELATED to the elligible occupation, which is a grey area for me since it doesn't need registration. On the other hand, the other one could be good for my professional developments but no bodies exist in australia to give me that letter.

2024.05.16 04:35 dannyling1 IBM full stack vs. Harvard CS50

I currently work at a tech company, but my role is more client facing, not in our dev department. It's somewhat technical, but I want to eventually move into a more technical role and have a goal to one day work as a QA test engineer.
So I'm working on learning the skills needed for that and signed up for Coursera. I'm currently taking the IBM full stack developer certificate program as it looked like a decent into to a bunch of programming languages/tools.
I've finished the first course and am working on the html css and JavaScript course. I'm already pretty confused! I feel the course doesn't give much context or explanation. For example, at one point it started talking about XHTML and I don't recall it explaining what that was.
I've heard a lot of good things about the Harvard CS50 course so I'm starting to think I should switch to that instead. I'm wondering if the IBM certificate continues to be confusing or if I just misunderstood a few parts.
So what do you think? Should I switch over to Harvard CS50 or stick with the IBM certificate? Any advice is much appreciated!

2024.05.16 04:34 Objective_Gap_6034 Unless you are white, avoid Equinox TT

And perhaps as a regular member too. Why support such blatantly racist company?
I should’ve done more research before signing up for Equinox’s teacher training program (it didn’t occur to me that a gym chain located mainly on the coasts catering to diverse members could be racist). As a student going through the program, your access to studio use may be more limited, you may not get as much attention and feedback from the instructors, etc. if you are not white. And they advertise the ability to work at Equinox while completing the program as a perk. Equinox isn’t known for treating their people well, I know, but they are also blatantly racist. A quick google search on “Equinox racism” got me numerous articles on racism and sexism lawsuits.
Some quotes from two different lawsuits:
… derogatory comments such as “Black guys are good for nothing but bodybuilding and physical work” - source
…Equinox repeatedly ignored her complaints of racist and sexually inappropriate behavior by a fitness manager who reported to her and remains employed by Equinox. Europe said that the manager frequently made vulgar comments about Black women’s bodies, harassed Equinox employees using offensive language, and diverted personal training clients away from employees of color. - source
There are many other classical Pilates training programs out there. And I’d like to believe that there are better studios to work for.
It’s a throwaway account to protect my identity. But if you have any suggestions on classical Pilates studios that are not racist and actually care about their teachers, please share! I’d love to come back to this post and learn about them.

April's big inflation reveal: The meme trade has been a fun diversion, but the serious business is here: the April Consumer Price Index reading is set for release at 8:30 a.m. ET. Prices rose 0.4% over the prior month, matching March's pace and bringing the annual inflation rate down to 3.4%. Stripping out food and energy costs, economists expect core inflation fell to 3.6% annually in April, which would be the slowest pace in about three years. ‌
Biden hits China with tariffs: The White House announced a suite of new tariffs on Chinese goods on Tuesday, with a key focus on EVs. Today's Takeaway is by Jared Blikre, Markets Reporter ‌ Meme stocks survived another volatility-fueled session Tuesday. ‌ Taking a page from the 2021 playbook, GameStop and AMC Entertainment led the charge. ‌ Both meme stalwarts notched gains over 74% Monday and had further doubled their share prices on the open Tuesday — only to sell off most of the day into the close. Nevertheless, after dozens of volatility halts GameStop closed the day up 62% while AMC jumped by 30%.‌ Amid some gentle coaxing by Keith Gill (aka Roaring Kitty), a slew of names familiar to Reddit boards followed — companies like Koss, Tupperware, Virgin Galactic, Hertz, and BlackBerry. ‌ But while the explosion in volatility rightfully invites comparisons to the well-known 2021 saga that played out on Reddit and across US stock exchanges, 2024 is already proving to be quite different. ‌ This year, Wall Street is driving the bus. ‌
Vanda Research crunched the numbers and reported in a note to clients that GameStop and AMC have only seen a fraction of the inflows experienced in early 2021. Flows into these names at the peak of the early 2021 frenzy were over four times Monday's volume. ‌ "Do we think more retail traders can jump in on the trend in the coming days? Yes. Do we think this is a repeat of 2021? No, and the chances we reach that stage are low," said Vanda. ‌ Without glancing at a single stock chart, it's easy to point out that 2021 was likely a historical aberration fueled by bored recipients of pandemic stimulus checks. ‌ Wall Street was caught flat-footed. Hedge funds like Melvin Capital were obliterated. ‌ But institutional investors learned from the 2021 episode and are better prepared now, argues Vanda. ‌ "Quant/hedge funds are much better equipped to handle these situations nowadays," Vanda senior vice president Marco Iachini noted. "If anything, we believe the chances that they participate along with retail in the squeeze but also lean against and then exit these trades ahead of retail traders are high." ‌
As of Monday's close, the portion of share turnover in GameStop attributable to retail investors averaged 7% over the prior five days — and that number was only slightly higher for AMC. In 2021, the averages and spikes were materially higher, indicating much greater participation by retail traders. ‌ Data in the options market confirms a similar story. ‌ But the biggest difference this year might just be the lack of one single, coherent narrative like the meme story that captured headlines in 2021. ‌ Only last week, we wrote about the recent resurgence of volatility in meme names. "In a critical break from prior trading epochs, much of the recent meme stock volatility is being fueled by material news and fundamentals, like earnings, as opposed to Reddit posts," we wrote. Why the 2024 meme stock action is much tamer than 2021 — so far Indeed, our (unofficial) Yahoo Finance meme stock heat map reveals impressive returns over the last two days that are mostly green across the board. But aside from GameStop and AMC, these daily returns are decidedly not triple digits as they were three years ago. ‌ In fact, the bigger names on this list — like Coinbase, Carvana, and Palantir — have been making their gains the old-fashioned way: around earnings and bitcoin fundamentals.
How much Wednesday's inflation print surprises economists — up or down — will be of particular importance during Wednesday's trading day. ‌ But analyzing market action from CPI release days back to May 2023's print, the equity research team at Goldman Sachs led by David Kostin found that "interest rate sensitive pockets of the equity market typically experience particularly large moves on CPI days regardless of the magnitude of the surprise." Chart of the day As seen in the chart above, non-profitable tech and the small-cap Russell 2000 index (^RUT) have moved significantly more depending on where the inflation print lands over the past year. ‌ — Josh Schafer, Markets Reporter

2024.05.16 04:30 choptopsbbq2019 Share your experiences of dealing with people who just constantly derailed/stalled the production

I think we have all had these people involved in collaboration at one point or another...
You know the type, you bring them on board only to start regretting the decision because they find ways to dig their heels in over tiny things, then slowly start assimilating themselves into the directors chair and try to take over everything and slow everything down to a crawl.
I was finding myself to be a pretty decent low budget filmmaker. I know every production is different and every crew works a different way. I was big on not over planning my movies. I knew that what was in my head was unlikely to be what appeared on screen with the limited resources I had, so I would arrive on the day and adapt. I liked a fast paced environment, ideas were always welcome and I wouldn't be too precious over production issues. Working at such a low budget, or sometimes no budget at all, I understood that I would rather shoot the scene how I could and make the most out of it rather than be bitter about it not being perfect. It was freeing, it was fun to be creative in working around issues etc.
My short films were garnering some interest and local actors and crew were wanting to work with me when I was trying to set up a project.
I had worked hard on getting my first low budget feature film into pre-production and it looked like it was about to start shooting in the next couple of months (this was in 2016).
...and then I brought in the cinematographer...
The DP was a good friend of mine. We had met through the local film scene and followed each others work, but never actually collaborated. I thought it would be a good idea to delegate DP duties and we could both embark on feature films together.
He had worked on bigger productions before, bigger than what I had worked on though not as a DP.
It was apparent very quickly that he was unwilling to just adapt to the smaller scale of my production and was pressuring for more and more.
What started as me hoping somebody with DP experience would be able to come in and improve the visual elements of the films through sheer experience and resourcefulness and understanding, was very far from the truth.
Very quickly, he was insisting I spend a good amount of the budget on renting better high end cameras, better and more extensive lighting and wished on me bringing in additional crew to assist him with the DP duties. I was not opposed to this, and figured as a cinematographer it would be a worthwhile investment to the project. Then of course came insurance for that gear and suddenly my very low budget was already starting to dry up if I proceeded.
I figured if we are going from making a cheap local indie feature into something more professional looking, maybe we should try to utilise the gear we had to try and film a couple of things to raise interest and potentially gain some more investment via crowdfunding, so we took some scenes and shot them. They looked alright. Better than what I had been doing on my own anyways...
It was apparent during the shooting though, that he wasn't just focusing on cinematography. He was overruling some of my decisions with actors, trying to change locations and entire conversations. At one stage when I was elsewhere, likely catching a smoke or toilet break, I came back to see him talking the actors through a few things, and when I was trying to get him to adapt what he had in his head to what was actually possible to shoot, he was getting a bit preachy and huffy about not getting his own way.
All things considered, the shoot turned out ok in the end. After I edited it and carried out some detailed sound design, it was actually pretty decent.
The cinematographer then started sending me messages questioning the casting of certain people, and started suggesting alternative actors. He would also start questioning the tiniest bits of dialogue with a sort of 'know it all' attitude, wishing to change locations of certain scenes (for example, from a bar to an office). He obviously had plans in his head to make 'this scene look like the scene from X movie or Y TV series'. If I didn't know any better, I'd say he was trying to film ideas he wanted to visually do, and not actually shoot the script the way I was asking him to shoot.
This progressed into him requesting more gear, because he had ideas. I just didn't have the money for this, but he was digging his heels in again and again over everything including directing decisions, writing, casting.
Film is a collaborative effort, but I had brought in somebody who was taking over the production and any time you had to move him back into his station he would give you the 'trust me, I worked on this and this...I know best' mentality. Production was slowing to an absolute CRAWL because he would just constantly bombard you with expectations and challenge everything, and when things finally got started would take forever reviewing a shot and lighting before he was happy to shoot. I am not against quality control, but this isn't Hollywood, we didnt have the time, money or resources to be this strict about the craft. We had to be in and out of locations within a certain timeframe and he was just too unwilling to meet me in the middle between what he considered his level and my level, it was his way or nothing.
The guy had clearly wanted to work with me, so it confuses me as to how the guy who apparently liked my work and style just wanted to entire project to fit what he thought was best, and my role as the director was requiring the inevitable where I was going to have to kick him off the production because we weren't moving any further forward with his elitist attitude towards the project.
The project eventually folded and never returned. It was what it was. If I had kicked him sooner or even shot it myself, it probably would have been completed. Maybe not to a super high standard, but I wasn't looking for a BAFTA, I just wanted to shoot my first feature script with the money I saved for it, but the budget was drained and the project had been at a standstill for too long directly because of this cinematographer that was constantly throwing spanners and changes into the works.
I thought it was me and I just couldn't handle a production. But as time went on, I worked with others and projects all came together nicely, I had good working relationships with crew and cinematographers. I may have been less experienced, but he certainly damaged the production.
Years later, we are still friends and we do still share ideas with one another.
But I have noticed every single time we initiate the possibility of collaboration, the professional side of him flares up and it becomes the controlling production knowledge it all demon that I experienced back in 2016 all over again. Anything I've ever sought to make without him, gets made. Every time we try to work together, it never gets made for all of the same reasons initially.

2024.05.16 04:29 Odd_Astronomer_3541 are slytherins projecting?

At first I thought that the bad stereotypes of each house of hogwarts were you know bad traits that the houses actually have.
Like Gryffindor bad traits are just being dumb, arrogant and popular.
But then I realize that this stereotype is not said by anyone, but just Snape and that is when I start analyzing if we can say.
That Snape was projecting, why? well I think Snape just assumes from his own point of view as a Slytherin that the only way a person could sacrifice themselves for someone else, the only way someone can be a "Gryffindor" is for their own good, because they want recognition and fame... because that is the only reason a Slytherin would do something like that! he is projecting!
What do you guys think, and also give other examples with different houses too.

Just found today, manufactured in 1991. SONY CDP-C615
I have long wanted to replace my old, more than ten year old DVD player, which was my primary CD listening device, with a dedicated CD player. From time to time I go to the local thrift shop in an attempt to find something good. Today I found this changer on the shelf. I personally don't like changers, to much complexity, and the shop employee also explained that it doesn't change CDs, that something in the carousel doesn't work, and that it plays one disc. My first inclination was to pass it by, but I found out that the player was actually Made in Japan and at a price 3 times less than a pack of the cigarettes, I couldn't resist. For $2.00 it found a new home. Fully working! I haven't tried charging 5 discs, one is absolutely sufficient for me. Loaded up with no apparent problems, noises, etc. Plugged in headphones and it plays absolutely marvelous. What is your opinion?

2024.05.16 04:27 chrispykinsley Short Film & Music Video for "Madeleine"

Hello there,
I'm a film student from Germany doing his bachelor project at the moment. For my project I am making a short film and music video based off of "Madeleine" (Personally, my favourite Good Kid song) but I'm in need of support for the project.
I don't love doing advertising like this, nor begging, but I feel this is a really cool project that I want to make for the band I enjoy listening to and if I want to do it well, I will need support. This is also a great opportunity for the community to come together in order to get this done.
I have set up a GoFundMe and if you can share it or support it, it would mean the world to me:
https://www.gofundme.com/f/Fund-Madeleine
The money from the project will go primarily into locations, catering, costume and transport since I do have the fortunate situation where I can borrow film equipment from my university.
I also want to say if you want to see an example of my prior work, I recently completed my universities diploma program to which I uploaded the trailer of my last project "The Price of a Man" on my reddit page. (Can't show the full film yet due to film festival rules)
But yeah, I hope we can bring the community together in order to make this love letter to Good Kid.
Thanks all,
Chris

2024.05.16 04:27 bluep1nk How do I play against Lifeweaver? Diamond Tracer VOD review request

Hello! I'm a diamond 5 Tracer player and I'm looking for some pretty specific matchup feedback. For a while, I've felt like I've been struggling to get value when pressuring Lifeweaver backlines. On paper, I feel like this matchup should be super good for me, so I think I'm missing something.
If I'm pressuring an Ana or a Bap, I can get value by forcing their cooldowns or distracting them so that they are unable to heal their team. Against Lifeweaver, though, none of his cooldowns are used proactively. If I force nade or lamp, I know that I'm creating an advantage for my team since those cooldowns won't be used against them. But forcing petal platform? Rejuvenating dash? Life grip? It feels like if I'm not able to actually get the kill, I'm just totally wasting my time. And this is compounded by the fact that Lifeweaver's healing can go over and around cover, so sometimes he's just fully able to keep healing his team the entire time that I'm pressuring him.
Am I thinking about this the wrong way? Should I be on a different target? Do I just need better mechanics? Also, if you notice other things I can work on, feedback would be greatly appreciated!
Replay code: 52Q932. I think the best example in this VOD is from 6:50 to 8:15, where two entire fights went by and I didn't really do anything at all.
Rank: Diamond 5
Hero: Tracer
Name: Moo
Map: Shambali
Platform: Console

2024.05.16 04:25 Snipteal [BC] How To Calculate Cost For Extended Benefits As Self-Employed?

I currently have 2 jobs, Job 1 as a full-time employee, and Job 2 as a part-time consultant (self-employed) paid by the hour with no benefits. I'm considering quitting Job 1 and converting Job 2 into a full-time role. This seems like a good career move for me, but I need to determine if it makes financial sense too. Saying that, I have the following questions:
Thank you in advance!

2024.05.16 04:25 Defender_547 We need a catalyst

We need a catalyst
I believe that we all know some hedge funds, brokers had joined us. For example, Coatue, Fortitude, Avanza. However, to keep the fight going we need real efforts from GME.
We need a plan to adapt and improve in this current market. For instance, using AI increase customer services or advertisements. Nevertheless, some of us are large shareholders, we can voice our opinions and push for more positive changes.
If we have good products, nice sale, and high customer satisfaction the price will soar higher. Additionally, GameStop will continue to not only survive but also thrive in the long term

For example VW/Audi offers 13% off MSRP on brand new cars for employees, do they make the dealership of the employee stomach the discount or does the manufacturer reimburse the dealership?
