2024.04.16 20:59 AGuestt Please give me advices on how should i deal w myself

Mahaba-haba ilalagay ko dito so if u want to skip okay lang po. If u want to continue naman thank you so much, I really appreciate it po.
Hello! I'm Aj, turning 20 this year. Sabi nila kapag mga nasa ganito kang edad medyo magulo na isip mo kasi u are in the process of maturing, mentally and physically.
When i was a child, feeling ko favorite ako ng lahat, like as in, kasi nasakin ang attention, bihay dito, bigay dyaan, kiss dito kiss dyaan, palagi akong kinagigiliwan ganon. Suddenly, "im not there"
So hindi ko alam kung paano talaga nagsimula 'yong nararamdaman kong "loneliness" all i can remember po is when i was grade 8, doon ko parang naramdaman 'yong feeling na "ako lang", i can't say na depression siya kasi hindi naman ako nakapagpa-consult before. Pero what i felt po is, i felt lonely, ung para bang ayaw mo na gumalaw galaw. Okay naman ako nung 1st to 2nd quarter eh pero noong nagsimula 'yong 3rd hanggang katapusan ng 8th year ko parang nag-iba, di ko alam kung ako lang ba nag-aassume na may "favoritism" sa pamilya, laging inaalala is my "kuya". Nagawa niyang tumulong sa kuya ko na isulat yung idk if its el filibusterismo or noli me tangere, tapos ako na nagpapatulong hindi kaya kasi ang always sabi "kaya mo yan". Never in my life na tinulungan nila ko gumawa ng proyekto, laging ang sabi "intindihin mo kasi", "basahin mo kasi, di ka nagbabasa", "Kaya mo na yan". I literally forgot what happened kasi i'm a first year college na tapos madali pa ko makalimot. Like, nagkakasayahan sila tas ako nasa gilid lang.
Tapos pag nagkamali ako, either i-siside-eye ako, tawang nangkukutya or magagalit.
SHS, lumala trust issues ko, ol lang to. And i was right, tama kutob ko habang nag-uusap kami, nangbabackstab na pala siya. Lahat ng babae sa class namin is kinakausap niya or nilalandi niya, and lahat yon suportado ng mga kaibigan niyang kaklase namin tapos puro officers pa sila. Sobrang iyak ko non kasi feeling ko sobrang napahiya ako, again, nawalan ako ng gana mag-aral for my 3rd quarter, bumaba grades ko, from 90+ to 7, 6 real quick. Nagkaron ng abck subject beacuse of that. Puro groupings kasi ang activities ng school namin, and I can't trust everyone kaya pinili kong di nalang pumasok at makipag-usap.
Please help me, I feel empty, di ko talaga alam kung bakit. Pag nagkekwento ako magulo, fast forward then balik, then tatalon ulit or what hanggang sa maging magulo nako.
And also po, nung shs ako pag kunyari presentation, i know normal kabahan pero is it normal po na parang hinahalukay tyan ko na parang anytime susuka ako?
May nabasa ko before, i forgot what it is pero ang sabi nabubunton daw yung galit natin sa taong "safe" sa atin, ung alam nating di tayo sasaktan.
Btw, idk if the reason of these is when i was s/harass by diff people, yes po diff people. From my pinsan, to a friend, to a stranger.
Please help me. Thank you!

2024.03.18 23:05 Specialist_Bus_849 Is RA 1425 still relevant?

Is RA 1425 still relevant?
RA 1425 basically says that colleges and universities have to teach courses on the life, works, and writings of Jose Rizal.
Quick search on the internet led me to a finding, saying that the reason why this is still imposed is because of the "Declining Filipino identity."
Personally, I am biased against this subject. I took this twice (two separate occasion, two different universities). One instructor was non-chalant and basically breezed through the entire course. The other instructor, i can almost label as a fanatic (treating Rizal as if a saint), since the course made us feel like we were majoring in Rizal 💀.
I mean, who else casually talks about Rizal nowadays? I don't get the point of studying about every fling rizal had, other than the fact that it points out to his alleged promiscuity.
I appreciate Noli me Tangere and El Filibusterismo, those are classics which everyone should read. But everything else? Idk.

2024.02.03 06:39 littlegordonramsay China's Exclusive pops are better than Philippines's

This is just my opinion, but in terms of country-based pops, I realized China's Exclusive pops are better than Philippines'.
From China, there are several pops based on Chinese culture/traditions: Journey to the West, Three Kingdoms, Beijing Opera, Good Luck (Fu Lu Shou, Lucky Dragon, Wu Shi, Auspicious Beast), Moon Rabbit, etc.
From Philippines, there several pops and Limited Editions based on the Jollibee company (Jollibee, Hetty, Champ, with different variants), a boxer (Manny Pacquiao), singer (Jose Mari Chan), school mascots (Ateneo, La Salle), comic book characters (Darna, Trese), mythological creatures (aswang, siyokoy), Mickey Mouse and Freddy Funko in barong tagalog. I think Philippines needs pops based on its culture. e.g. Malakas at Maganda, Ibong Adarna, Maria Makiling, characters from Noli me Tangere or El Filibusterismo, etc.
Are there also other pops from other countries?

2023.12.31 12:36 JapKumintang1991 On the proposed canal running through Laguna de Ba-i (from Manila Bay to Pacific Ocean)

Happy New Year to everyone!
Earlier, I learned through both this thread from Tsikot Forum and this article from the Philippine Star from the 25th of November 2020 that there was a proposed canal that supposed to connect Manila Bay and the Pacific Ocean through the Laguna de Ba-i; in fact, as written in the latter, such proposal was mentioned in detail by José Rizal in his novel "El Filibusterismo". In addition, the PhilStar article also said that the canal/spillway was supposed to be started within the vicinity of Parañaque.
Supposedly the said proposal was considered seriously (as plausible), what time period could be the earliest (or if not, the most recent) for such engineering feat to be realized?
I hope you'll share your though on this idea. Thanks!

PS: This proposed canal is related to another alternate history scenario: The town of Infanta and nearby island of Polillo was established as the center of film industry in the archipelago as José Nepomuceno (or both Edward Meyer Gross and Albert Yearsley if it occurred a bit earlier) and his production company permanently set up studios in the said area.

2023.12.27 16:52 filmgamegeek IJW: GomBurZa (2023)

Source: https://www.reeladvice.net/2023/12/gomburza-mmff-movie-review.html
"GomBurZa" stands in stark contrast to recent historical films that achieved immense success. While those films focused on the more flamboyant and mythical aspects of our local heroes, "GomBurZa" portrays a serious and realistic narrative. The difference is profound; both sets of films inspire appreciation for our heritage and culture, but "GomBurZa" distinguishes itself by depicting its heroes as simple, relatable individuals, forging a down-to-earth connection that amplifies its impact and drama.
Fueling the flames of liberalism, Father José Burgos (Cedrick Juan) earned a notorious reputation among the Spanish friars. What began as a movement against secular priests and friars gradually evolved into the definition of a people and their nation - Los Filipinos. Fearing further uprisings, the friars and Governor-General conspired to thwart Burgos, along with other priests embracing liberalist ideas like Father Mariano Gomes (Dante Rivero) and Jacinto Zamora (Enchong Dee), aiming to instill fear and obedience among the natives.
In recalling our history lessons, we remember GomBurZa as three martyr priests whose execution by garrote was witnessed by Jose Rizal, profoundly inspiring him to dedicate his second novel, "El Filibusterismo," in their honor. The film "GomBurZa" authentically portrays the priests' impactful yet incomplete role in history. Its strongest elements lie in Cedrick Juan's career-defining portrayal of Father Burgos, serving as the film's heart and soul with his poignant yet resilient portrayal. While Dante Rivero delivered commendably as Father Gomes, Enchong Dee's portrayal lacked the material to stand out against the other leads. Additionally, the film's production value and cinematography effectively transported us to late 1800s Manila, despite minor shortcomings in costumes and makeup in some scenes.
However, a significant contention arises from the film's heavy focus on Father José Burgos. The limited attention given to the other two priests fails to showcase their contributions to the secular cause or their local communities. While the rationale behind this presentation is understandable (Father Gomes embodying unwavering faith and Father Zamora as an innocent bystander in the wrong place at the wrong time), it almost renders the film as solely about "Burgos," minimizing the impact of the collective GomBurZa narrative. Nevertheless, "GomBurZa" remains an astounding experience despite its flaws. It provides a profound and plausible context to our history, one that inspires at the right scenes and at the perfect times, and ultimately resonating even in our vastly different modern-day circumstances.
Rating: 4 out of 5

2023.12.20 05:54 theconstellinguist Cheapness causing decay; I live in WA, notorious for BG's sick fetishization of being cheap for its own sake. It's created a market for manufacturing cheap labor. Do you know any specific processes like the below, esp. specifically fascist anti-union globalist techniques to get cheap labor?

https://nordis.net/2017/06/18/article/news/nation/editorial-support-our-national-language-filipino/
UP Manila student council statement described in Filipino, “It is part of globalization that the government and the US carry out to manufacture cheap labor in our country. Because of low nationalist consciousness, aggravated by the absence of job opportunities, there is a big chance that students would just go abroad instead of working in the country.”
(Our language is a reflection of our own mode of thinking. For as long as we have our own mode of thinking, we would never be slaves.).
