Why should you care? Imagine when you can hook up GPT-4o to something like the Meta Rayban glasses: then you can always have it teach you about whatever you are looking at. That can be a math problem, an object you want translated, a painting you want the history of, or a product that you want get the reviews of online. This single feature alone has incredibly many use-cases!

You just started throwing shit around
This is pretty much what is happening in cs, people who can't play the game, don't want to play the game, and don't enjoy the game instead of doing what any sane person would do which is to move on and do something else, they choose to not respect what makes the game what it is, and starts acting like cavemen ruining the fun for everyone just because they are too inept to understand and play the game as its meant. It's just so fascinating the level of delusion and ego stroking these guys are doing to cope with their own existence in the game instead of moving on. And it's sad because everyone else has to suffer at their lack of self awareness, ruining the competitiveness of a competitive game, like kids throwing tantrums they cling to this game using cheats because they can't accept the fact cs might not be for them. If you are a cheater, I'm sorry you didn't receive an education and you lack so many things that makes one a healthy human being with self awareness and empathy towards others, but I hope one day you'll realize what you are doing and have the strength to put yourself on a path of growth and from a caveman to become a gentleman

2024.05.14 09:45 SharksFlyUp This mod has definitely improved a lot, but some of its modifiers are still way too exaggerated

Played MD again for the first time in more than a year and I really like how it's improved. The economic system especially is a lot better and I like the energy and productivity dynamics. I also think the missiles/space dynamic is handled a lot better now. My big problem last time was how a lot of the modifiers (simulated in game effects of different ideas/national spirits) were way too exaggerated to the point of widespread inconsistency and a failure of basic simulation realism. I think the mod's improved a lot on that front too, but there were a couple of big continuing problems that popped up to me playing as the US.
First, population growth. It makes sense to model population growth decreasing with rising levels of development, but the values are way too strong. At normal starting level gdp/c I found it knocked population growth down by 100%. Literally completely erased it, which is decidedly unrealistic. The US, a country of 280 million people, was growing at 1000 people per year in the mod, in the real world it grew at about 1% (between 2 and 3 million) a year in the 2000s. Even without the GDP per capita thing the "scars of the war on drugs" idea was knocking it down by 50%. That's way too massive, it should be more like a tenth of that, and the same goes for the effects of different policy variables on population growth. This is also true for policies and focuses which change the structural costs of things like healthcare or social spending - the effects are way too big!
The other big issue I found was that base military production values are way too low, even at full production efficiency. I know modern equipment is far slower and more expensive to make than WW2 kit, but the mod currently takes that too far. For example, the US now produces (in full rate production) about 160 F-35s a year. With a reasonable number of factories allocated (4 to 6) at full production efficiency I could only manage a quarter of that with a comparable multirole jet. The problem wasnt really skewed output or efficiency variables, those were pretty good, it was just that the base figure is way too low. I changed it from 3 ICs per military factory to around 10 in the defines file and that made things way better. I will say however that naval production values (which the mod rightly increased from their hoi4 base) looked very realistic and I like what the mod has done with MIOs.
Also, air wing size. If even a large country making a substantial effort can only build 40 normal jets a year, 100 is definitely too big for a default air wing. A modern Air Force Wing is closer to 50, and that seems like the better compromise with the lower production volumes/higher capability of modern kit.
So to conclude, this mod has definitely come a long way, especially in its economic system, but it still gets some of the basics (military production, population growth) wrong, and I hope devs continue to improve the problem of massively exaggerated policy and idea effects.

I’m 23 (F) and my fiancé 24 (M) has been engaged for 3 months now. We are exes back at high school but only in relationship for few months. After 5 years, we met again and he propose after few months after we met. Everything was fine before, he took care of my well-being, fulfil my cravings and needs. He has an ex before, she is a cheater and gold digger (from what he told me) he really loved her that he bought the girl almost everything she wanted, an iPhone, iPad, shopping spree, expensive dining and even install the air conditioner and bought furniture at the girl familys house. To the point where the girls family is using him for money. Eventually after 2 years, they broke up.
Back to my story, he changed by time. He doesn’t really pay attention to me like he used to, he plays his phone a lot and no longer fulfil my needs like he used to. I checked his phone few times since I know all his passwords an got access to his social media but theres nothing suspicious, he just scrolling his media social most of the time. The wedding is less than 3 months away and we havent start to prepare anything yet. Just a small talk like where the venue and how many guests we want to invite and that`s all. Every time I try bring him to discuss more about the wedding he keeps saying “whatever u wanted, it will be just fine with me”. At this time, I feel like I am the only one who excited about this wedding. You must be guessing oh he must be working really hard right now to pay the wedding expenses. He is not, his dad lending his money to pay for our wedding expenses and he agreed to pay it back every month after the wedding. I don’t know how to feel about this.
Related to the story of his ex, the girl is jobless and basically his ex-boyfriend who is my fiancé now is the one who provide anything for her. I am working, but the salary is not that much but enough, I notice my fiancé don’t have that much money like he used to so I helped him to cover some expenses using my savings for us to survive. But this is where my hate grew, because just later I know he actually not that broke like what I thought. Few weeks ago, I thought we are facing financial problem that he only bought one meal for me and he refuse for us to share the meal. I, once again use my saving so none of us have to feel hungry and to cover some expenses. He bought a 400 bucks car rims the very next day and told me he wants to join competing a car event that is one month away. As the fiancée I keep thinking why he can`t treat me the way he treated his ex before, she is jobless + cheat on him but he just fine with it and still love and did everything she wanted to just to please her. But when we are together, I am treated this way. I tried confront him few times but he keeps denying and tell me sad story about his previous life. It’s not that I want to be his next gold digger but I sense the injustice in all these issues. Mind that he like to lie with no reason, like just a small inconvenient thing asked and he will pretty much lie.
I don’t know how to feel, what I should do or talk to. because people around me supporting him, saying he is a nice guy whatsoever and it is me who over react all this things.

I have notice recently that almost all of my ranked games (Plat-Emerald) have a dude on the enemy team who is a vastly lower level than my team, yet always seems to get a very high KD compared to it. This would be fine if it was just a player that was normally that rank, but it is obviously a new account. The enemy team is then mostly upper Emerald and Platinum, with Champions frequently in the mix. This SHOULDN'T happen. Something in my matchmaking recently has been so terrible that either my team sweeps the enemy, or vice versa. The wins never feel good anymore, and the losses are soul crushing because its either a cheater, or an entire stack that is just way to good to be playing against my team.
I am genuinely curious what the community has to say about this.

31 F, southern US here. I messed up my 20s badly due to undiagnosed autism and not knowing how to deal with things correctly + no parental guidance. Out of high school I had a free ride to university and dropped out early due to mental health issues. I didn’t know how financial aid worked and was afraid of loans so I just worked various dead-end jobs for years thinking I could never return to school since I lost my scholarships. At 27 I finally got over my fear and went back to community college for an associate’s degree in web development. It was so easy, I graduated with a 4.0 but I legitimately cannot really code at a professional level. I applied to a few places but I quickly lost motivation after receiving some interviews that went nowhere, or receiving coding tests that were extremely above my level.
I looked into getting a bachelor’s degree in computer science only to learn that almost none of my credits would transfer to university. Also my credits from AP tests I took in high school have apparently expired. I have to start from square zero. I have a job and make money but part of me is disappointed. I want to be proud of my job I guess. If I start over and graduate at around 36, is it worth the debt to try to get a job nearing 40? I’m thinking of getting into copy-editing since they seem to have a lot of remote work. I’ve honestly lost interest in coding but open to adjacent work, just not sure what that looks like. Currently taking: Labetelol 100mg twice daily, and a water pill (cannot think of name and have a sleeping baby)
So since about 8 weeks gestation I started itching.I have been itching since. It’s mostly at night, and it’s worse on my feet. My other symptoms are dizziness, runny nose, sneezing, headache, brain fog, faintness, feeling my heartbeat, skin crawling, blackness creeping at corner of eyes, shaking, joint pain that comes and goes, frequent UTI, heightened anxiety, overall weakness in joints/muscles.
I have cut out detergent with dyes and fragrance, I have took my BP medicine and water pills, I’ve cut down salt intake, I shower regularly, I’m getting enough sleep when I’m not itching. However I am still ill feeling. I am going to the hospital to take more blood work done as my thyroid hormone is low. However I’ve been going to the clinic over these symptoms for almost 10 months and I cannot live like this anymore as well as my insurance runs out soon. Male, 27, BA in Foreign Languages and Cultures, BA in East Asian Studies (Double Major Chinese and Japanese, Double Minor Spanish and French), Graduate Certificate in Chinese-American Studies, 6 months professional job experience.
Hey there. The job search for me out of college has been exceptionally brutal. I won't get into the weeds about it, but I just spent 2 and a half years waiting on potentially being hired for my dream job, only to find out I have been determined unsuitable for the job. To say I'm crushed would be an understatement. I'd go on about how devastated I am, but no one needs to hear all that. As you can see from above, I'm multilingual, and was primarily looking for jobs relating to Translation. The job I'd like to have would have me working with the languages I've studied so hard to learn, and would utilize my expertise in East Asia. That has proven to not only be very difficult due to a lack of job postings, but my lack of experience seems to be hampering any ability to even be remotely considered.
I have explored the options my degree provides me with but have so far come to these realizations:
Interpreting: Depends on your level of experience, and where you live. There is no agreed upon standard of certification for interpreting, and it varies from state to state, and sometimes company to company. Generally requires some kind of certification and specialized training, which I have not yet received, along with experience demonstrating your expertise. You can land a high level job somewhere like the UN, or with a government or other company or agency, but the majority of jobs are freelance, with income highly variable.
Translation: There aren't as many job postings for this as you might think. Many are remote jobs, and those that do exist do not pay well (most are $35,000 a year), even for languages that are rare or in high demand. Many translation agencies outsource out-of-country, and thus have no desire or need for domestic translators, and usually only require the services of translation agency management jobs that do not actually require language skills whatsoever, such as being a liaison between clients, overseeing translations, etc. Some require ATA certification, which is a difficult requirement to meet, needing to pay a $500 per language fee annually, along with taking a test each year, for someone who has been unemployed for a long time now. There is the freelance route as well, but it too is highly variable, and success is not guaranteed. I would likely need to start an LLC to prevent legal issues due to lack of experience if I decided to go all-in on freelancing.
Military: This is an option I am still considering, but it has several drawbacks. It is a 5 year commitment minimum, without the freedom to say where I am to go, where I am to live, when I am to leave, no guarantees about what language I would study, or what job I would be performing, and boot-camp. The military provides absolutely no guarantees, irrespective of what a recruiter says, and I may not actually be suitable depending on a few factors (physical stature, background, etc.). If I change my mind, there would be absolutely no turning back. Lastly, the military itself is not guaranteed to accept me. However, the upside is the potential for a very high paying job out of the military when my service is complete. Some jobs pay up to $120,000 a year.
Government: 2 and half years (no, I'm not kidding), and I have nothing to show for it. I've done this route definitively, I simply do not have the energy, mental fortitude, and patience to try again.
Teaching: This is an option I am seriously considering, but it would require me to go back to school. Ideally I would like to be a Professor of Chinese, or East Asia Studies. I am $65,000 in debt, and I would be adding at least another $30,000 to that to get a PhD. I'm also unsure of where to start, and what programs to look into and apply at. Even after all of that effort and work, I may only make $40,000 a year, though I would likely enjoy the job.
Analyst: Many of my colleagues who I studied with have gone onto perform Advisory or Analyst roles, and most are doing well for themselves. This is a broad category of Risk, Financial, International, and other Analyst positions that don't directly have to do with foreign language per se, but use it as a major skill. I have attempted dozens of times to apply to various positions, but without experience, I have found I am nearly always turned down even before I get an interview.
Cryptologic Linguist: Without a Security Clearance, this is a job that is usually impossible to apply to.
These are the major options, but of course there may be many others. I'm not sure what to do or what job to apply for. There are many directions I could go in, but I'm starting to feel like I don't even know how to apply for a job anymore.
TLDR; What jobs should I look for now given my skills, experience, and degrees? Am I being too limited or unrealistic in my job search? How do I look for a job?
I'm totally devastated, and I don't know what to do anymore. Any advice at all would be appreciated.

I was recently in a relationship that lasted for 1 year. The break up literally tore me apart because he did everything he was supposed to do from spending time to going on dates. He was so engaging that we would have never ending conversations. We related on so many levels. As we got to know each other we developed what I now see as unhealthy behaviors. He was in a profession that allowed him to make his own schedule, I was in a profession that allowed me to take off time but I was unable to make up the hours missed. All of that was ok because we made plans on how to get right financially. He lived with his parents which was ok. We planned that he would move in with me because I own my house and if we went together on the mortgage it would be less for both of us so we could get our financial situations together. I loved hanging out with him so much that I began to make my schedule reflect his. Essentially working part time. I had a bad habit of drinking that i often told him I didn’t want to bring into our relationship. He agreed but then developed the same habit. We had so much fun together.. drunk. I hated it and loved it at the same time. Out of 365 days we were together 350, he never gave me no clue of cheating.. so I thought. One day we got drunk together… of course.. and he passed out on my couch. While he was out I was still up drinking. I reached down one the couch and felt his phone… my first thought was.. let me see if I know his code. First code I put in …correct. Me still clueless I go to his text messages thinking I won’t find anything, this man didn’t play about me. I scroll through and I see mostly clients, then I see a text that says “I love you” I open it. Scroll back over the whole year we had been together and see that he was planning a future from moving in together to having kids with this woman I now know to be one of his exes F/30… I could not breathe. I then go to his Snapchat and see conversations with a woman named Laura, again another ex.. I scroll though it and the whole year the same thing, planning a future from moving in together to having kids another F/30.. at this point I’m almost on my death bed.. question… what do I do?

So my academics have fuced me from all corners (81% in boards somehow and 2 lakh rank in jee fml). Ive studied my arse off for the better part of two years but to no avail. I would give the SNUSAT exam on 17th that is friday and im absolutely loosing my shitz is my last option as nothing else has prevailed. With that being said let's get to today's vote!
Today is day 27 of tier voting and today we'll be talking about the funky rock 'n' roll lizard from Generation 8 that was the signature Pokemon of the gym leader who was part of a band and said no words during his solo lol. Toxtricity is fairly popular and well-known for its signature ability which synergizes very well with its moveset. Toxtricity has an interesting and unique typing that only it and its pre-evolution have claim to. While it does have a 4x weakness to Ground both of its types are strong types offensively and give it immunity to 2 status conditions which means it certainly can find ways to fit onto a team. It has a pretty solid stat spread in its base form and it also has the benefit of most of its strongest moves being spread moves making it a strong choice for double battles. This game gives it several gifts including a very good passive to go along with one of its strongest moves, as well as some really good egg moves that synergize with its signature ability even further and a super good stat spread for its Dynamax form.

And here is a quick reminder of what each tier generally means:
S tier: Top tier, can make or break your entire run, essentially the cream of the crop
A tier: really strong but not quite top tier, maybe slightly outclassed or has a slight weakness holding it back
B tier: solid choices that can make it to your endgame team, might be reliant on team composition to truly function well or might just be outclassed as well
C tier: usually early-mid game Mons, ones you don't really want to take to end game if you can avoid it, usually pretty decently glaring weakness but something redeeming enough to keep from F tier
F tier: no reason to use in end game unless you're doing it for a meme/joke
Abstain/No Opinion: this will be a voting option mostly just in case someone accidentally votes and then can't remove their vote (I've noticed that happens on Reddit sometimes) or for Pokemon people haven't unlocked/used to their full potential yet. If Abstaining votes outvote each individual tier then the Pokemon will be tabled for the time being and another vote will open up for it later (can mostly see this happening with Legendaries).

I am a 37 years old F and him 38M. We are married now for eight years and I don’t have the same perfect body neither does he. I am working out a lot to try to be fit again. I am Brazilian and do have a big booty and I am only slightly overweight. And I like to think I am beautiful and intelligent, speak multiple languages and have a great work and earn good money, but this isn’t the point. The point is I am fed up with him following those bikini ladies with fake lips and tits, and it’s not only one profile but thousands! This makes me feel unvalued and uncomfortable with myself. Also, he was never the cheater kind of man, but this behaviour is downright disgusting. I told him to stop with this creepiness, but the true is I am tired, he is old enough to understand his own emotions.
