- My wife is on the MacOS / iOS ecosystem. What's a good automated way to back-up iPhone photos to the NAS and to share them to the desktop?
- I'm trying to have different spaces of the NAS acessible for different purposes. Is there an easy way to do this? Ex - similar to what you'd see on GDrive, I'd like to be able to share access to a certain "work" folder with a colleague while another folder would be for "personal" - How can I manage those permissions?
- I'm looking to auotmate the backup of GDrive assets to the Unraid NAS. Are there tools that can do this out of the box? Looks like there are many guides on how to "peacemeal" this solution.

I wanted to share with you leftist political activism happening in Poland in last year. Just over a bit year ago new political podcast was created, its name is Dwie Lewe Ręce - DLR (Two Left Hands in English). It was created by two men: Marcin Giełzak and Jakub Dymek.
Who Are the Creators?
Marcin Giełzak: A writer, publicist, entrepreneur, and labor market expert, Marcin is known for his fearless approach to political discussions (also a nerd when it comes to France). Former member of left-wing Razem (Together) party.
Jakub Dymek: A journalist and columnist, Jakub is unafraid to engage in debates with various political factions, including the previous right-wing national-conservative government (Law and Justice Party) in their state controlled national TV station.
Despite being around for just over a year, DLR has made a impressive progress. Their Patronite campaign recently crossed 1,000 active supporters, bringing in around 45,100 PLN ($11,485) monthly.
I've been part of the Dwie Lewe Ręce (DLR) community for over a year now and wanted to share what makes it so special. If you're into Polish politics or just looking for fresh leftist perspectives, you might find DLR as interesting as I do.
A little bit of political history of Poland:
DLR was born out of frustration with the lack of a true leftist voice in Poland. The former communist party turned into SLD (Sojusz Lewicy Demokratycznej, eng: Democratic Left Alliance) and embraced neo-liberal ideas, becoming indistinguishable from their liberal opposition. Meanwhile, the actual neo-liberals from PO (Platforma Obywatelska, eng: Civic Platform) were notorious for their austerity measures post-2008 financial crisis, which hit the common folk hard despite the Polish economy being a "Green Island." This paved the way for the populist national-conservative party Prawo i Sprawiedliwość (PIS, eng: Law and Justice) to win in 2015. They implemented significant welfare measures but also abused the rule of law and implemented almost a total ban of abortion in 2020.
The left in Poland hasn't fared well recently. SLD fell from a peak of 47% in 2001 to just 7.55% in 2015, leading to a four-year absence from parliament (coalitions need over 8% to enter parliament). They've rebranded as Lewica but only managed to get 8.6% in the 2023 parliamentary elections and 6.32% in the April 2024 elections to local councils. If this trend continues, they might disappear or be absorbed by KO (former PO, eng: Civic Coalition), which has started to adopt progressive ideas (but still supports neo-liberal policies).
DLR aims to prevent the total disappearance of leftism in Poland. Clubs are popping up all over the country, where young people from various political backgrounds debate and cooperate to promote community, solidarity, and healthy patriotism. It's refreshing to see these discussions happen outside the "Vampire Castle" in which progressive left closed themselves in.
Unfortunetly is mainly aimed at Polish viewers, but you can check out their interview with Catherine Liu about the Professional–managerial class (PMC) which is in English.

So, here i am.
My story with Tinnitus.
When i was in my late 20s, i went to a new years party and all exited because free alcohol, people and fun.
Though it went somewhat downhill as i drank too much and kind of everything. So i was really drunk when we went outside and watched others to the fireworks.
Big booms here and there and sometime after i went to bed.
Next day, i think i was sleeping really long. Did i skipped a day? Maybe. I don't remember but what i remember was that i woke up with sound in my ear.
It was scary. It wouldn't stop. Since it was far away from any doctor, i waited until i could drive home.
This is when i realized that i wouldn't go away. And it is the start when i went from doctor to doctor and i was told, there isn't anything that could be done. Again that was over 35 years ago.
I got some pills that were of herbal nature. Didn't work. Sleeping was a challenge. One ear made a sound like water rushing through a pipe, the other was more faint but both with high frequency. I did the next best thing. I drank wine. It helped to find sleep but i realized i couldn't drink myself to sleep every night but at the same time it was part of my pattern.
The first two years where the roughest i had until i made peace with it. Having an illness no one can see, is hard. Not everyone believes you but i managed to live on. I learned that others had it much worst.
At one point i seen my file at the doctors office with the word suicidal danger or something similar.
I realized that others may taken their lives because of that condition. How blessed i was if there is any form of blessing. I read a lot at that time and found out that there are a lot of famous people that got struck by the same illness.
It made me realize that it isn't the end but that you can live your life somehow and function in the world. When i was at places that were really silent at night, i was frightened because all of the sudden it was something i couldn't process anymore. Silence but my beeping that never turned off.
So i had a radio play at night. Or something else that makes some noise.
30 or so years later, i am still here but the hope that there would be a cure has fated.
There isn't, maybe never will be.
So i had to always try to go on somehow. There were some instances that i should mention. One was, when i showered to hot. No pun.
For some reason, after that, i was hearing my pulse very intensely. I went to the hospital but they couldn't find anything. It went eventually away but since then i don't shower too hot anymore.
The other was, when i went to a doctor that specializes on ears and was told i need an operation of my ear channel. I didn't do it because i didn't want to lose my hearing and i didn't understand why that was needed.
Time passed quick. The worst for me personally is, that i got more of a loner. The joy of life went always because of always hearing this shitty sound.
I married wrong, looking at a divorce at the moment and feel my life is kind of over. Ok, very dramatic but i feel my life is not as i was hoping for.
Through all that time i kept smoking and i know, not healthy but it helped me to cope. I am not an alcoholic but like to drink a glass.
It made me value time and concentrate on things that are to me important. I still love music and i pop in the head-buds. Though more moderately.
Today, i have always some sound when i go to sleep. But there are time i can also sleep without a sound.
I think looking back insomnia was one issue because finding sleep was not easy. I just hope it won't get worst.
One thing i have to cope sometimes is stress which makes it louder and the fact that i can't do some things like concerts. Though i was told by a person to consider singers ears when going out. I haven't bought it yet but will give it a try.
Well, thats my story. Maybe you see yourself in it or just like to hear how it was for someone else. I hope your journey will be better.

Namely - I've long noticed that the picture looks too simple, digging into the project I found that some rascal threw in a scene of daylight. But to me it contradicts the fact that the studio is inside the building and it's something, if you can call it that, intimate. It's the kind of place where calmness, peace and the right thoughts come by themselves. You don't have to think of anything. So I removed all the light sources and began to arrange artificial light, first of all, the classic three-point light. And then I improvised. I downloaded Heroic because my GTA 5 version is from Epic game store.
So the download was successful, but heroic don't show up the window of GTA 5. Heroic displays the game is running but nothing appear on my screen.
Have you some solutions ? Thanks !

I built a Pc for a friend and I am getting no display. I am 90% sure it’s just a BiOS update but I want a second set of eyes to check it over.

I have reseated the ram and checked the power cables, I think the issue is the CPU being a 5000 series and the board is a B450.
Basically, if one was expecting this kind of issue, would it be right for the screen to just show nothing with no post? Or would something pop up saying CPU incapability and the real problem is the GPU is shot?

LCB BOYS,
Wow. So, back when the podcast came out in like what, 2017 or so when the show was still just LCP and I found something I would love for like 3-4 years and helped me through some extremely tough times that LCB and a few other barstool podcasts help me get through and move into more barstool content. Of all the podcasts my absolutely favorite personalities were Geoff, kenjac and Trill Ballins(who I put as my name and picture on Life360 with my family and I’ll never explain what it means or why I have a weird uncanny valley Jim Carrey stunt double from the mask as my profile picture). This means a lot too bc at the time I was listening to 3 podcasts religiously. LCB, Your mom’s house with Tom and Christina P and PMT. The pod meant and still means a lot to me and I have SO MANY great memories that are infused with this show. This created an emotional reaction when I woke up today and said “fuck it… I miss LCB” and popped onto to do a very much needed catch up and saw that the pod as i knew it ended around Christmas (CMON JEFF! Christmas!?) maybe back then it was like a present because I’m assuming, knowing Mr. Jeff, that this was probably coming for a little while. I listened to a few episodes of The Bracket before and I like it but still just craved the main Pod. I’m sure I’m just having fit of nostalgia ruining things for new stuff but I miss it. I want to do an even longer post mentioning all the highlights but I’m not that smart and can’t remember everything. I will forever remember having trill genuinely make me laugh out loud while I was cleaning classrooms and cleaning toilets at 4 am and quickly switching to SiriusXM to catch the Dozen because it would play at like 5a while I was living in Hawaii. Incredible memories. I remember hearing the boys talk about AMC and the Bavarian legend and finally trying them both about a month ago. The pretzel was good but I didn’t love the theatre as much as I like some of our local theaters here in Utah. I was bummed and took a break when trill left because It was like having a friend move away and forgot to get their phone number or add them on Facebook haha. Well, this was just to vent and hopefully one of the boys can see this and see this psychotic rant as an effort to show the deepest appreciation for everything and hope the pod can come back at some point when you guys are ready. If not, it is what it is and I love the other shows you guys do but this was just my favorite. I’m starting a rewatch today and won’t stop until my nostalgia fucks all the way off. Thanks for the laughs boys.

Of all the podcasts my absolutely favorite personalities were Geoff, kenjac and Trill Ballins(who I put as my name and picture on Life360 with my family and I’ll never explain what it means or why I have a weird uncanny valley Jim Carrey stunt double from the mask as my profile picture). This means a lot too bc at the time I was listening to 3 podcasts religiously. LCB, Your mom’s house with Tom and Christina P and PMT. The pod meant and still means a lot to me and I have SO MANY great memories that are infused with this show. This created an emotional reaction when I woke up today and said “fuck it… I miss LCB” and popped onto to do a very much needed catch up and saw that the pod as i knew it ended around Christmas (CMON JEFF! Christmas!?) maybe back then it was like a present because I’m assuming, knowing Mr. Jeff, that this was probably coming for a little while. I listened to a few episodes of The Bracket before and I like it but still just craved the main Pod. I’m sure I’m just having fit of nostalgia ruining things for new stuff but I miss it. I want to do an even longer post mentioning all the highlights but I’m not that smart and can’t remember everything. I will forever remember having trill genuinely make me laugh out loud while I was cleaning classrooms and cleaning toilets at 4 am and quickly switching to SiriusXM to catch the Dozen because it would play at like 5a while I was living in Hawaii. Incredible memories. I remember hearing the boys talk about AMC and the Bavarian legend and finally trying them both about a month ago. The pretzel was good but I didn’t love the theatre as much as I like some of our local theaters here in Utah. I was bummed and took a break when trill left because It was like having a friend move away and forgot to get their phone number or add them on Facebook haha. Well, this was just to vent and hopefully one of the boys can see this and see this psychotic rant as an effort to show the deepest appreciation for everything and hope the pod can come back at some point when you guys are ready. If not, it is what it is and I love the other shows you guys do but this was just my favorite. I’m starting a rewatch today and won’t stop until my nostalgia fucks all the way off. Thanks for the laughs boys.

Animals, i have 2 dogs (yes i'll show you lots of pictures) and in general i love animals so much, so i'll probably spam you with pictures of random animals i think are cute or funny :)
Music, i listen to a wide variety of stuff, from rock and metal to dance/pop some electro swing, rap and other stuff, in general if i like a song i'll listen to it on repeat till i hate it but still listen to it anyway.
I try and be witty and funny most the time, I have a stupid sense of humour but will try and make you laugh most of the time, I can be shy to start with but i open up pretty quickly when i get comfortable with you :)

This is the first time I talked about this without taking the issues as an afterthought. I think that's the biggest problem for me, even though I know this is getting serious, it always ends up being just and afterthought.
A few years ago, I found this "habit" of mine has a name, but until now, I didn't feel I could find a place to vent or ask for advice.
Maybe since I was a child I was kind of obsessed with popping pimples or scratching the cuticles of my parents, eating my own cuticles and scabs. When I started puberty (I think) I found a new focus.
As a preteen and teen I didn't have acne, but I live in the highlands and my arms have this "goose" skin even if I don't feel cold. And that's what started it.
It began with only my arms, later in University, after I catched chickenpox, it advanced to my scalp and my back, and prt of my chest. Lately, my legs became also parts of my body that I am hurting...
I cannot bear looking at myself in the mirror for a long time. I scratch or pick my skin until it bleeds, when I find a bump or a pimple I pop it, and if it is almost healed, I scratch it again to eat the scabs. It is a neverending cycle..
I suppose I needed to vent, to know that people out there can understand a bit... And more than anything, I need advice, some kind of tricks you found useful to avoid this compulsion. And maybe things that can help with my scars.

Like the title said. If I have an open tin of a fizzy pop and my boyfriend can take a sip and like instantly, that can is contaminated to me, like I won’t touch it, it makes me feel sick.
It’s especially with water bottles, I wouldn’t share one with my mum, I don’t share my bottled drinks with people and if I do, I end up not drinking it because the idea that someone else has drank from it makes me feel so gross, like typing this out is making me feel like imma cry?? Wtaf.
Like once, I had a bottle of cola cherry and my Nan was thirsty and asked for a sip and I was like “ok :(“ because I didn’t want to say no and be unpleasant, but guess what happened to the rest of the bottle? Down the drain and in the bin :(
My boyfriend once drank from my can of tango and it sent me into a spiral where I almost started crying, in fact, I think I did start crying lol! He ended up drinking my can of tango and his own because I wouldn’t even drink his.
It’s not just bottles, but eating from the same fork/spoon as someone makes me feel vile, especially if there’s residue food on there! I just stare at the utensil like it’s an alien until they put it away!
I definitely don’t have ocd, I’m autistic and adhd so that could be something to do with it??? I just get so angry when people do it as well! Especially when they know. It’s like, getting to a point where I don’t feel like I can keep my cans in the same room as him or he’ll accidentally drink them and then I get sad lol.

I have the record on vinyl, and all I can think about is how Mac went out of his way to travel to different places just to do some remote recording for FEHD, some of the “demos” even ending up on One Wayne G. I get not many of you like the album, but it really made me appreciate the capabilities we have to record at home or other places. Mac also showed us that you CAN kick that habit that’s burdening you. I can’t tell you how much better bro looks after cutting wayyyy back drinking and smoking. I feel like this album really showed us the lengths he goes to help himself get clean, and focus on the music. Just my thoughts.
