Have I ovulated early? Just come off the implant.
Some background info - I was on the implant for 12 years (replaced every 3 years) and it stopped my periods. I would probably have 2-3 periods a year and have symptoms such as bloating and tender breasts. I had my implant out on 23rd May and I had a period on the 26th May for 7 days ending on CD 7. On the 4th CD 10 & 5th June CD 11 I had CM which displayed “egg white” and it was heavy but this only lasted for those two days. I tested my LH levels on CD 11 and since then my results have been low and fluctuating. Apparently I’m supposed to be ovulating today according to my calander but I’m having little to no CM and yet my LH levels are fluctuating and low. Any insight would be much appreciated - especially those ladies who have been on the implant and come off it.

2024.06.09 23:10 aznpersuazion Is Online Tutoring Worth it? Reviewing Online Tutoring Websites

Hello fellow tutor aspirees, side hustlers, academic extraordinaires. I’m here to give you the scoop on the various tutoring platforms, how their services work, tutoring requirements, the types of students on each platform, and of course - how much you get paid for your time.
A little about me. I’ve tutored for a few months now on the following platforms: Varsity Tutors, Wyzant, and SuperProf. I’ve had a number of students on each platform, and it’s safe to say I’ve definitely realized the pros and cons of each one.
Wyzant
Money Info: You set your hourly rate. Wyzant takes 25% of it. If you set your rate to $20/hr you get paid $15/hr.
The Requirements: Each subject you tutor you have to take a 10–20 question multiple choice test on it. The test will be beginner to intermediate questions on the subject you’ve chosen. You only have one chance to pass the test.
The Pros:
The Cons:
Final Verdict
Wyzant is an easy to use platform that takes a while to build a student base. You’ll have to apply and reach out to students a lot at first before you start getting more consistent jobs. This can take a few months, so consider this before you start. The 25% fee is high, but certainly not unreasonable compared to other platforms.
Varsity Tutors
Money Info: Unless you’re tutoring GRE or LSATs, the flat rate is $15/hr, regardless of the subject. GRE and LSAT tutors make $28/hr. Varsity Tutors charges their students $50 - $75/hr.
Requirements: Most subjects do not require a test, however you do need to send in a video interview of yourself, mostly to confirm that you can speak eloquently.
The Pros:
The Cons:
Final Verdict
Varsity Tutors definitely has the lowest pay amongst all the platforms. $15/hr to teach is what you can make at some retail jobs in the US. The platform can be better if you need to start making money immediately, or if you live in a country where the cost of living is lower. The amount you are paid is better for people who are teaching subjects that aren’t too difficult.
SuperProf
Money Info: You set your own rate, SuperProf takes 10%. The caveat, SuperProf charges students $39 a month to use the platform.
Pros:
Cons:
Final Verdict
SuperProf is very similar to Wyzant in that students and tutors can openly communicate and set up time with each other. The 10% fee is lower than the other platforms. But because it’s already hard to get started as a new tutor, and there are less students on the platform, it’s one of the harder platforms to build a student base.
Additional Notes
While all these platforms have their pros and cons. You can always consider tutoring independently. You do not need any licenses or business registration for tutoring in most places. Once you get a student base through Wyzant or SuperProf, you can take them off-platform and teach independently. The best part? You keep the money you work hard for.

2024.06.09 23:09 mrjnebula Replace or keep BL touch?

I just today picked up my first 3d printer, meaning I don’t really know what I’m doing yet. It was a pre owned Ender 3 and the guy had a BL Touch installed on it that he let me keep. When I went home and tried to get it going, I got the plate leveled (I think) pretty well. But something I had a lot of trouble figuring out was the Z offset with the BL Touch, my extruder kept being way too high when trying to test prints and any attempt to lower the Z axis wouldn’t let me drop the value below 0 so I had it as low as it would let me. For a first time user would it just be worth it for me to remove the BL touch all together so I don’t have that aspect of calibration to worry about, or do the pros of having it outweigh the cons? (If they do please elaborate for me cause I’m smooth brain with this stuff) thank you for your time and feedback with helping me figure this out.

2024.06.09 23:07 Familiar-Mammoth-753 Is there any possibility that USMLE Step 1 exam will revert to being scored?

Today my friend showed me a pic of an announcement by ECFMG that on the 1st of July 2024 Step 1 USMLE exam might become scored again. There was also mentioning of adding Step 2 CS exam as permanent alternative to OET test. However I tried looking up on the ECFMG website and found nothing, tried looking up the USMLE site and also found nothing. On this sub no one seems to be mentioning anything about a revert, neither on medicalschool . Is the shift to P/F permenant or is there a possibility that by 2025 the exam will become scored?

2024.06.09 23:06 Objective-Taste-5854 Extenuating circumstances for A-Levels

It has been really hard to get back on track, during my initial time in 6th form, my dad was diagnosed with cancer. Luckily he is in remission, but he was left partially paralysed from the operations.
I failed my A-Levels at 6th form and have since been working in retail for 2 years, but last year started studying for 3 A-Levels to sit this year. Also during these last 5-6 years my sister has had really bad mental health issues, getting worse this year with constant breakdowns and eventually leading to her being hospitalised.
Especially this year my sister has really affected me and my ability to study, even though I tried to help, idk what I could do. Constant anxiety of not knowing what I'll come home to (constant crying, throwing stuff), unable to focus/be productive at library, trying to escape from it.
I don't know who I should contact about this, seeing that 5% extra marks are allocated for an immediate family death by exam boards, makes me think that contacting the university would be the best option? Luckily I only have a couple of exams left.

2024.06.09 23:05 LearnHebrew Getting nowhere?

Getting nowhere?
Drop the word SPEAK to see how.
You’re eager to speak and understand Hebrew. You download Duolingo (or any other app) and start with enthusiasm, playing with words, advancing through levels.
The app encourages you daily with tough love, making you think, "Wow, they're really invested in my success!"
Yet, weeks turn into months, and you find yourself stuck in the same spot, not truly advancing in conversational Hebrew or understanding how the language works.
Does this sound familiar?
If the answer is a sad "Yes," it's not your fault!
The truth is, these apps are designed to keep you engaged with the platform rather than ensuring your actual success in learning. They excel at bringing you back for more, but what exactly is this "more"? Do you even know who built the Hebrew program you’re following? Can you ask a real Hebrew teacher a question? Does anyone care if you progress in Hebrew or not?
As a native Hebrew speaker, best-selling author, and dedicated educator, I've spent months designing unique teaching methods that address the pitfalls of popular apps and programs.
Your success is my top priority, which is why my approach is tailored to ensure real, fast-track results.
You won't just memorize isolated words unrelated to the Hebrew you want to express, nor will you chase empty gamified achievements.
Instead, you'll engage with practical, real-life Hebrew, immerse yourself in Israeli Hebrew, and develop deep understanding of the language.
I’ve taken all the feedback from learners who've shared what doesn’t work with apps, Ulpan, and most programs out there, and I've developed methods that actually lead to success.
I've already helped thousands of students speak and understand Hebrew quicker and easier than they thought possible.
If you're serious about speaking Hebrew and tired of feeling stuck, it's time to adopt a proven formula, learn from a teacher who truly cares and will always be there for you.
Let's get you speaking Hebrew, without the false starts and frustrations.
Drop the word SPEAK, and we'll get you started.

2024.06.09 23:05 serious1250 29 year old IT consultant in the UK - what next?

Hi all, first time poster in this community - I'd really appreciate some opinions on my current situation and what you think I might do next please.
I'm currently working in the M365 space for a Microsoft Partner - it's a smaller company but we're doing well and job prospects appear good. When I started the role I focused more on SharePoint - some good intranet projects etc - and have since been working on some more niche projects, such as around the Viva suite of products. I've had good feedback so far and have had a promotion to a standard level consultant last year, with a good pay increase in tandem.
Whilst my feedback has been good and I'm adding value to the company in different ways - I've started doing some work in the wider M365 community which has been enjoyable - I am worried about how my skillset in transferable outside of my current role. I still struggle with some of the more technical aspects of SharePoint and wouldn't want to go down the developer pathway, and I've spent more time doing general consulting work with customers. However, whenever I see job adverts for other companies looking for M365 consultants, they all seem to insist on the likes of PowerShell, SPFx and Power Platform competencies, which I just don't have at this point.
Whilst I am happy with my current company and my current terms, I'm unsure about how I am supposed to progress further especially with my lack of technical skills. I also worry about how I might move into an equivalent role at another company if something happened to my current role. I have done presales work and have spent a fair amount of time on commercials, so I do have sales experience, but I'm not sure this is where I want the current role to take me in order to progress. That said, I don't know how I could move into team manager or practice lead roles without a more technical background.
I have recently considered doing a pivot to learn more about the likes of Purview, as the skillset seems valuable and it aligns with some of my current knowledge. That said, I don't really know how I'd learn about this further, and I'm not sure how this would appear given I've previously spent time focusing on employee engagement/internal communications etc.
I would be really grateful for any suggestions or thoughts, so thank you in advance for any advice you can give!

2024.06.09 23:03 coconut-exe I plan to become an English teacher but I have no experience

Hello there,
As the title says, I’ve been planning to become an English teacher since I’m a fresh graduate from university. I don’t know where to begin to look. So here are my questions.
  1. Are there any tips on strategies for teaching and what to do and prepare?
    1. How to be prepared for questions that students might ask?
    2. How to be prepared for each level? From kindergarten to high school.
    3. Any general tips to approach my students in a friendly way? And personal tips, for example, raising voice to be heard by all students, etc.
    4. How to prepare for the whole material?
    5. How to prepare for exams and set test scores?
    6. And finally how to improve and this field? because I want to do my best in my job

2024.06.09 23:02 Jdrob93 Advice on exam date

So, I’m scheduled to take my exam September 13th. I’ve been studying since the middle of March, but I feel like it is all sporadic. I’m only like halfway through all content. I’ll be done with PS Anki on June 30th. I do JW every day, but I am still missing questions and don’t feel good about content.
A little extra background, I’m a nurse working full time, and I just started a 4.5 week summer biology course. I’ll be taking a full semester bio course this fall. This has really thrown me off even more. My studying has declined and become more passive. The course is over July 3rd. I’m thinking of trying to take off all of August and just study nonstop and take the exam.
Otherwise, should I just cancel it and try next year in March? I’m not applying until next cycle, but I just feel like I’ll probably procrastinate over the next few months if I cancel.
Edit: I do have UWorld and do practice questions when possible.

2024.06.09 22:59 Comprehensive-Chard9 AITA (is she the asshole) for doing this?

My wife wants to practice driving for her coming exam, so I offered. But she said she feels uncomfortable (she can't in general take any advice or remark from me). So she stopped it, and one day suddenly she showed up saying she had someone to practice. A friend of a friend of her sister. We have a kid, 6 years old; I work Monday to Friday, so Saturdays will be her practice day. The guy would then come and I should stay home with the kid. Up to there, normal... But the guy never came home, never showed his face, not to mention introduce himself (or she introduced him): he waited in his car and she went out to meet him. This went on for some weeks and they left for 2-3 hrs, and I didn't say anything: as we had moved to Europe, to her country, I still didn't know how are uses in her country and society. I didn't want to look out of place, insecure and so. Then one day I found out they went together to the movies after not so much driving.
