2024.05.29 06:28 revaly2001 "If A beat B, B beat C, does this mean that C is weaker than A?"

Before anything, sorry for any bad English as I'm non-native English speaker.
I've been thinking about this since Manchester Major, which I think that one of the main factors that led Beastcoast towards the Major champion is their playstyle which I can describe as "quite unpredictable and super smart" at best, just as similar as W7M/Furia from my perspective (as a gold player in real life but a hardcore Pro League fan).
Arguably, there's so much more than playstyle. Certain teams might rely heavily on their gunskill, some just have a really lucky day, or some teams just keep their vibes to preserve their momentum (which is NOT exactly BDS).
But if we talk for example, BC beat BDS, BDS beat DZ, does this mean that DZ is "practically weaker" than BC? I mean, I had a feeling that if it was DZ that went against BC in the final, DZ had so much potential to win against them (supposedly if Panba shows up in the entire playoffs match). What do you guys think?

2024.05.29 06:28 MulberryAsher [Servant OC] Cuauhtémoc

[Servant OC] Cuauhtémoc
This is my first post in reddit. I hope you guys like my first servant oc ( of course the my first servant oc will be saber-face). If you do also, like, and share this post with other media for my support, I can continue to post more like this post. Thank you.
Cuauhtémoc
Japanese Name: クアウテモック)
Class: Saber
AKA: Cuauhtemotzín, Guatémuz, Last Aztec Emperor, Ruler of Tlatelolco, cuauhtlatoani, Hero of Unyielding Jade, Guatémuz the Valor, Cuauhtémoc the water sun
PROFILE
Default: Cuauhtémoc, who fought the Spanish to the best of her ability, is considered a hero who defended her homeland from these conquerors, a symbol of valor. As she continued to protect her homeland, time came slowly like a fading sun; she wanted to save her people and homeland, but the Spanish executed her at the end of her life.
In historical records, Cuauhtémoc is a male, but she disguises herself as a male.
Bond 1:
Height/Weight: 154cm, 42kg Origin: Historical Fact Region: Aztec civilization, Mexico Alignment: Lawful-Good Gender: Female After pretending to be a man, she doesn't know how to react to affection.
Bond 2: An Aztec Emperor who wants to bring peace and see her people's smiling faces when she becomes the emperor after the latest Aztec emperor in Tenochtitlan. It is known more as Mexico-Tenochtitlan during her time. She is a lovely and calm person who sincerely wants to change Mexico-Tenochtitlan for her people before Hernán Cortés, the conquistador who would later destroy the Aztec empire. She has an elegant, beautiful lady aura, and even when she talks to others, she is cheerful and exciting even though she has knowledge of the modern from the throne of heroes.
Bond 3: After the death of the latest Emperor, Cuauhtémoc decided to protect her people and land. She opposed Montezuma's plan to allow them into Tenochtitlan and fought fiercely against them when she replaced Montezuma. Her unfailing distrust and hatred of the Spanish helped her rise to the position of Tlatoani upon the death of Cuitlahuac. There were no records of her fighting the war, but her extraordinary leadership and selfless defense of her homeland were. In her childhood, she witnessed the bloody battles of Aztec warfare since the Aztecs waged war to reap tribute and take captives for religious sacrifices. They were also given to Aztec society so victorious Aztec warriors could receive high honors. She wants to bring peace without violence and create a homeland of smiles.
Since Cuauhtemoc was not recorded in history until her reign as emperor, her date of birth is unknown. As the oldest legitimate daughter of Emperor Ahuitzotl, she probably attended the last New Fire ceremony to mark the start of a new 52-year cycle. In 1515, she was named ruler of Tlatelolco, with the title cuauhtlatoani, meaning "eagle ruler," after concealing herself as a male to enter the boy school and military service. She works hard to reach her position of rulership since Cuauhtemoc pretends to be a male of high birth and a warrior who has captured enemies for sacrifice because she prefers death to be their hands. She even earns a name known as Guatemuz from the Spanish conquistadors.
Bond 4:
Mana Burst (Water): EX She was blessed by the goddess of water and given the divine water that rivaled the fifth Sun of his power—the discharge of magical energy in liquid form. Having her Noble Phantasm concealed, her magic energy nature is established as water by the divine aura that emanates from it. Divine water increases its rank.
The embodiment of Mexico-Tenochtitlan: EX She is an emperor who wants to protect her homeland and wants to change Mexico-Tenochtitlan to bring peace. Her leadership path and unyielding will refuse to surrender and wish to save Mexico-Tenochtitlan.
Blessing of the Fifth Sun: B Even though tortured and captured, she refused to surrender, and some sources said, "Our Sun has gone from our vision and will remain in Mictian, the place where the spirits repose." She believes that Huitzilopochtli will guide Mexico-Tenochtitlan and the people who will survive, and one day, someone will bring her homeland peace to the people's future.
Bond 5:
『Inner World Chālchihuitl Blade』 Rank: A++ NP Type: Anti-Fortress Sword of Jade A weapon not forged by man nor divine was forged within the Inner Sea of the Planet. A Noble Phantasm that can rival Holy Sword Excalibur. A sword that is forged by the world from the world's stores of many unknown weaponry that have yet to be discovered from the current time.
『The Fifth Sun Storm 』 Rank: A+ Type: Anti-Unit / Anti-Army Noble Phantasm Range: 0-10 Maximum Targets: 1-20 people This Noble Phantasm unleashes five slashes at once. This ability's fearsome power combines the five Suns of the Aztec gods into one Sun to become a rainstorm of blood that can rival Huitzilopochtli, who was honored above all in Tenochtitlan as the patron god of the Aztecs. While it is an Anti-Unit technique, it is so powerful that the surrounding area gets caught in the blast. (Naturally, its strength lessens when used as an Anti-Army technique.)
“Soy la uno como el sol, blessed by the given divine of the inner sea jade…May this sun become water, may the water become the blood of my people's death, SANGRE DEL QUINTO SOL CHALCHIUHTLICUE!
Identity: Known to the Spanish conquistadors as Guatemuz, he was the last Mexica tlahtoani of Mexico-Tenochtitlan. He assumed power in 1520, one year before Hernán Cortés and his troops captured Tenochtitlan. Cuauhtémoc, son of Ahuízotl and cousin of Moctezuma Xocoyotzin and Tecuichpo, when she reached nubility. He took power in Tenochtitlan after the conquistadors had already left, but famine, smallpox, and a lack of potable water had devastated the city. Cuauhtémoc arrived at this moment after having been tlakatekohtli (chief of arms) of the resistance to the conquistadors since the death of Moctezuma before the call by the Spanish "Sad Night," he has been identified as a military leader of the Mexicas.
Driven by his foresight and belief in the Mexicas' resilience, Cuauhtémoc orchestrated the reorganization of the Mexica army, the reconstruction of the city, and its fortification in preparation for the inevitable conflict with the Spaniards. He tactfully dispatched ambassadors to neighboring towns, seeking alliances and reducing their contributions, displaying his astute leadership.
After eighty days of warfare against the Spanish, Cuauhtémoc called for reinforcements from the countryside to help defend Tenochtitlán. The surviving Tenochcas sought refuge in Tlatelolco, where even women participated in the battle. Only Tlatelolcas remained loyal, and even women took part in the battle. As he and his family fled Tenochtitlán by crossing Lake Texcoco, Cuauhtémoc was captured on August 13, 1521.
Tragically, when confronted by the conqueror, Cuauhtémoc, pointing to the dagger on his belt, requested to be slain with it. Unable to defend his city and vassals, he chose to meet his end at the hands of the invader. This act, viewed as a sacrifice to the gods, was a poignant testament to the depth of his loyalty and the anguish of his defeat. According to duplicate Spanish accounts, Cortés declined the offer and treated his adversary with magnanimity. The brave warrior defended the capital, he claimed. Even an enemy in a Spaniard's eyes is worthy of respect. The end of his life can't help but feel a deep sympathy and sorrow for Cuauhtémoc's tragic fate.
Cuauhtémoc's death was not of interest to Cortés at that time. As a subsidiary of Emperor Carlos V and Cortés, he preferred to use his dignity before the Mexicas as Tlatoani. As part of the city's cleaning and restoration work, which occurred in the months following the conquest, Cuauh émoc took advantage of his initiative and power to secure the Mexica's cooperation. However, due to what the Spanish perceived as 'greedy Spanish stewardship and distrust of the Spaniards,' the last Mexica tlatoani was tortured and killed by Cortés.
Relationship:
Artotria Pendragon: “Altria…Wait, King of Knights. It is an honor to meet an ideal king. Ufufu, this is exciting. I hope she and I can have lunch together and get along as friends.
EMIYA (Archer), MORARSEU (Caster)(OC): "The red archer and the black caster both end up with the same fate but for different reasons. I could be their big sister and help them out! Also, I CAN HELP COOKING DINNER!"
Huitzilopochtli (Saber) (OC): "HUITZILOPOCHTI! I am your biggest fan, and I pray you can guide my people after the Spanish conquistadores. Sorry, this is out of character. It is just a big honor to meet our Sun of Mexico-Tenochtitlan. I am a bit surprised that you are different from what I hear.?? So you were summoned with a human male vessel. Still, it is a great honor to meet you. I mess up again!"
Tezcatlipoca: "...The Black Sun, I don't like him. He is very selfish, and I hope he doesn't start a war because just because if he got into a fight with his other siblings. It will be another destructive battle."
Kukulkan: "The evil serpent, be careful, Master! Wait, what? She is not evil but a good serpent? Is she the sixth Sun, then? Sun of a lostbelt? Then, sorry for my attitude. If she is a lostbelt version, she differs from the Pan-human history. Maybe that's why my Noble Phantasm is acting up because of the merge with another God…. It's nothing, Master."
Quetzalcoatl: "ehh, Quetalcoatl? The Feathered Serpent. I thought you were a male god, but it seems you were summoned with the female vessel."
Tenochtitlan: "An embodiment of the city of Tenochtitlan before known as Mexico-Tenochtitlan. Our people indeed love our homelands. Am glad I meet you, Meztliapan. Then, let's be friends; I hope we can get along very well, and I can also help you introduce other servants!"
Gilgamesh (Archer): "Gilgamesh? Is he known as the King of Heroes? Why is he looking at my Macuahuitl? He seems very mad and confused."
Yamato Takeru: "Takeru-san is a good person. We have some common interests, like blessing by divine water and sharing our favorite foods. I LOVE RICE BALL AND RAMAN! Takeru-san shares lovely, delicious food with me."
Castoria: "It's cute, Altria-kun. She is a fun and energetic person. She is teaching me what magecraft is. She is fun to spend time with, and when it comes to food, I share my favorite food."
Uesugi Kenshin: "Kenshin is playful when we sparring. We play along well, but she seems to have lost something of herself. Even though I have the god-like power of my blade that rivals Huitzilopochtli's power, I want to help her in any way I can, not just to sympathize with her. But as a friend."
Something you Like: "My homeland, family and the people of Mexico-Tenochtitlan. I love food! My favorite is tamales of salsa verde con queso and Enchiladas Rojas with lettuce and cheese. It's yummy when I think about it. Sorry for my attitude, Master."
Something you Hate: "What do I hate? I hate the Spanish, especially Hernán Cortés. My people and the latest Emperor were just too nice. The Spaniards' greed ruined my people and homeland."
About the Holy Grail: "The Holy Grail that can grant wishes, it is good but is not something I don't want. I accept my past and my actions. I want to see someone who one day brings peace to the people of my homeland."

2024.05.29 06:27 imbecilePanda Choosing between i20 and Baleno

Good morning people,
First of all, really happy to be a part of this sub and have gained a lot going through the informative posts and comments.
I have decided to buy a car for my family of 5 and the following are the cars that I have narrowed down. I am actually quite happy going for a hatchback considering my drive will mostly be in a city (Chennai), my options felt just as spacious / comfortable as some of the pseudo SUVs or Sedans in this price range.
Note: I have gone through all the comparison posts and some of the individual discussion posts of these two cars (along with Altroz). Still couldn't make a final decision. Please help me choose.
Requirements:
  1. Spacious car for a family of five
  2. Hassle free ownership
  3. Mostly city commutes to office / other places in the weekends. Occasional long highway trips (once in 3 months or so)
  4. Decently equipped to not feel outdated in 4 to 5 years.
  5. I am a sedate driver and have been driving for close to around 7 years now (First car being Alto)
  6. Budget is around 11 lacs. Can extend to 11.5 if the car warrants it.
Options that I have narrowed down to and my opinion from test drive:
i20 Asta Manual:
  1. Excellent interiors all around. Definitely felt a segment above.
  2. Cabin insulation was extremely good. Engine sound / road noise is almost non-existent.
  3. Excellent space. More than even Baleno which in itself is spacious.
  4. The dealers that I have been in touch with quoted a price similar to or slightly higher than Baleno Alpha variant.
  5. Not as peppy as Baleno. But not a problem for me considering my driving characteristics.
Baleno Alpha Manual:
  1. Good interiors.
  2. Just as great cabin insulation but some of the road noise did seep in.
  3. Excellent space again. Was able to fit 5 comfortably.
  4. I liked this engine better than i20's.
  5. Comparable features to i20 if not better.
Factors leading to indecision:
  1. Both of these cars are not safe. But I am happy to trade that for hassle free ownership and given that my primary use is in city and even on highways I don't go beyond 85. But people who have driven both, which one felt safer of the two / more stable?
  2. How comparable is the yearly service cost and the long term maintenance cost of these two? I heard Baleno might be slightly cheaper but not sure by how much.
  3. How lower is the mileage of i20 compared to Baleno? (But not a deciding factor from my pov)
  4. How is the long term reliability apart from the engine like electronic issues, development of rattling issues over time?
Other options considered:
  1. Brezza Vxi - I test drove the Zxi+ variant but everything apart from the 1.5 NA engine felt underwhelming. Family also felt the same.
  2. Amaze - Great engine / grear box. But felt outdated. Although a facelift is supposed to be around the corner, not sure if I should play the waiting game. Also didn't feel it that spacious after being in an i20. Facelift could also be pricier.
Thanks in advance!!

I do not trust these Heat maps
And every time you do run to one of these “red hot” +5 or $10 routes (from seven minutes away), by the time you get there and it refreshes they’re all gone. But I’ve only been doing it for three days so far, so I guess I’ll end up learning a lot of things the hard way 😜

2024.05.29 06:27 Budget_Isopod Can 240L oxygen tank go through sheetrock?

Hey guys, I'm not sure if this is a physics question but o figured someone here could give me an answer.
If a 240L tank of oxygen compressed at 3,000psi with a 15mm opening were to suddenly open while laying parallel to the floor, would it blast through a wall? i'm sure it would but how many would it be able to go through if the walls were, say, 20 feet apart from eachother? I'm sure some of you have seen the mythbusters episode where the 300 cu/ft tank rips right through a cinder block wall but that's a lot bigger the a 240L one.
I'm just a cnc machinist that's curious about this, idk much about physics. if this isn't the right sub or there's another that this question would be more appropriate for i'd appreciate knowing where that would be

2024.05.29 06:26 Fine_Duty_1512 Vent: Why is the onus on us?

I was reading a post about this girl who went on a date with the Lithuanian guy and this comment was left:
"probably because you tricked a straight guy into kissing you. Imagine how he feels"
Why is it that we as trans women have to be the ones empathetic and considerate while they get to disregard our emotions and feelings?
This ISN'T about disclosing, but how the majority demands us to respect them while disrespecting us.
I've seen this so often as a black person: having white people dictate to me how to act so they're comfortable. It's the same treatment as a trans person
We have to not offend them. We have to walk on eggshells around them. We have to talk this way. Do this. Do that. Be placating. Blah, blah, blah. Or else.
Because they are the majority, they can dictate terms and never expect to compromise or see our side of things. Well, to hell with that!!!
I am not giving cis men more empathy or understanding than they give me (or women in general for that matter). Either they try to understand me or else they get what they give.

2024.05.29 06:26 UnluckyMoirai Is it time for me (31f) to leave my partner (36m) or am I jumping the gun?

We have been together for over 3 and a half years . For most of it we have been happy. We have made sort of major purchases together, gone on big trips, talked about fostering kids, and have even been building a house for the past 2 years.
That last part is putting a REALLY big strain on us specifically as I'm sure you can imagine. It is quite stressfull.
For the past 3 years or so, I have been renting a house from my grandparents for about $1500 a month. He moved in with me about 2 years ago. As part of my contribution to the house build I have been covering all of rent for the past year on my own. Along with shouldering all of the other bills including utilities, food, and a shared storage unit. I also manage the current house doing all the chores, and cooking all of the meals. On top of working full time and supporting our kids (both girls from previous relationships). I got out to help work on the house when I am able but sometimes after everything I am too exhausted and just can't. Now lately I'm struggling to even afford paying bills because rent has increased and it's really weighing on me because I would usually pay for all of the fun things we would do too.
All of this in comparison to him and his efforts. Basically he also works full time and on nice days he will go work on the house. I don't mean to minimize the work he has put into the house but half the time he comes homes saying he didn't even do anything.
On top of all of this, he is a VERY avoidantly attached person. We do not talk about our feelings. As much as I would like to know how to love and support him he just keeps up his walls and gets mad at me for not reading his mind. We exchange I love yous maybe every 6 months, have sex maybe once a month and only if I initiate it, we cuddle often and we can joke and play. But that's as much intimacy as I get. I just feel so neglected. I understand that I am not his top priority but it would be nice to be on the list.
He is determined to have the house livable by winter and our lease is coming up without the ability to re-up it in July. I have suggested and tried looking for apartments or trailers or even RVs to park on the property and everything I suggest is a hard no for one reason or another. He says that he will move out there in July regardless of how ready it is but he will not move into an unfinished house with 3 girls.
At this point, I feel like he is just trying to see how hard he can push be before I pull the trigger and just break things off.
So my questions is, should I just be patient and wait to see how things happen, or should I just cut my losses?

2024.05.29 06:25 SurpriseAvailable420 AITA for not hugging my brother when he got back from a road trip?

I (f 15) have a sister (23) who will be going on a trip to another country for her job with the USMC (United States Marine Corps) Which she has a chance of not coming back from, like all US led operations. My brother (18) is graduating this year and this was the last chance for him and her to hang out before she left for the mission, by the time she will be home my brother will be in the army and will be stationed in an unknown as of now place. My sister wanted to take my brother on a road trip in which he would have to fly home, note, I'm to young to fly without an adult was the reason my parents gave me. It didn't click until after he was gone that he was 18 now and I could fly with him. I am really scared about my sister not coming home and so I had texted her telling how I felt about the situation. The text read, "The reason I'm so mad about you and brother right now is that if you don't f****** come back I don't get to have you at my graduation or for my graduation at all so this is like an unfair situation and I understand that it's not ideal and that you likely are going to come back but there's always that what if chance and if that what if chance f****** happens I'm never going to forgive myself or you" Which she responded with, "I have to take to take what time and situations I have and use them. I think it’s totally fair to give this to brother for graduation since I can’t be there. Three years from now if I get to be at your graduation, I would say that’s unfair to brother because I don’t get to be at his. I can’t control that brother was born before you and that he graduates first. Everything will be okay either way. " My sister is kick booty but there is still the chance that she won't come home. So we dropped my brother off at my sister's house and they go on their trip, brother keeps s being me texts and photos bragging about how he gets to do this with her before she's gone and she lives me more than I you ect. I soon find out that they went to the Indianapolis 500 without me which is one of my biggest dreams. So when he got home he was giving everyone their gifts and when he gave me mine, it was substantially cheaper than my parents gifts. It was a keychain, with my name, spelled the wrong way. I smiled and pretended to love it as I put it on my purse. He asked for a hug and I told him that I still wasn't happy that he went on the trip in the first place, then to add to the situation, you went and saw the Indie 500 without me. And I don't want a hug right now. He started yelling saying, "You're just ungrateful, you should even be happy I got you something."
I'm genuinely confused, am I the a hole?

2024.05.29 06:25 kevinwhackistone Some comments about the song XXX

I searched this sub to see if people like this song, and I was happy to see the results. Just wanted to post about it then I’ll be on my way.
I think this could have been his best song, or top 3-5. Kendrick insists, annoyingly imo, that he has to point of his hypocrisy. The second part of the song completely undermines or negates the first part. Not only is it not that good musically, more importantly I wholeheartedly disagree with the point being made. The premise of the song if I’m perceiving it correctly is that Kendrick (or the culture) laments all the murder in America but perpetuates it through a bloodlust for revenge.
I disagree with his saviorism. Do people really project this Jesus shit on to him? That’s kind of his whole thing, to the point of wearing a bejeweled crown of thorns, right? It’s childish to think music or artists can do that much to improve society, and I’ve always thought it immature that either he or his fans indulged this idolatry. Why does he feel like he is above even feeling those feelings in the first half of XXX, disregarding acting on them? “If somebody kills my son, that means somebody’s getting killed.” That’s exactly how I FEEL. I don’t believe it’s best to act on that, but art has the license to say that. I’d want to kill that murderer. Doesn’t mean I will, and that emotion doesn’t need to be called out as wrong in the second half of the song. Wouldn’t it be unnatural for someone to see their loved one murdered and just move on like nothing happened? That’s taking our humanity away. It isn’t godly to allow terrible people run roughshod on regular people. That is the challenge of society. We have to have rules but not be vigilantes or savages about it.
When someone takes the life of a loved one of yours, it is entirely natural to want something to happen to that murderer. Life is chaos and danger, built on constant collisions. If you don’t protect yourself, things may happen. Knowing violence is so ingrained in our nature and in nature at large, expressing that in music shouldn’t be considered such an affront to morality. If nothing were to happen to murderers, there would be even more murder than there already is. Murderers and criminals in general need to experience consequences in order for them to one of reform, be put away forever if they’re too far gone, and serve as a deterrent example for others. This is how society works, and I don’t see many other options as to how things could work.
Maybe make them two songs. First part second part. Because as constituted it’s almost like matter and anti-matter. Cancelling out such a powerful first half to a song does the song such a disservice.
I’m rambling, but I guess what I’m trying to get at is that first half was incredibly accurate as to how some may react to violence. I don’t think it’s ever been conveyed so succinctly and soulfully at the same time. I felt it more than almost anything I’ve heard in music. One part I’d like to highlight to “ain’t no black power when your baby kilt by a coward.” I don’t care what things we may have in common…if you do something crazy you will experience a reaction. I don’t think I’ve heard this said as well in a song too. In fact, if anything since we have some commonality that should make you even more sickened to your stomach that you did such a bad thing to me. Putting it in an American context with black people just lends the concept so much power because there is a sinister aspect of race/religion where people get you to accept what you shouldn’t accept under the guise of brotherhood. Family can hurt you just as much as a stranger, which is why actions should determine kinship. I believe that’s actually reflected in crime stats. People you know are more likely to do you harm as opposed to random acts of violence.
Anyway, tldr I both love and dislike the song.

2024.05.29 06:25 Ramo-97 A great game, ruined by the toxic players

I came back to play this game after about a year. I used to use Ness in elite, so I’m not perfect at all. I felt I played the game pretty honestly and never tried to camp, but it’s Ness and he’s a buggy character who’s annoying to play against so I get it.
I use Marth now for fun, and every single game is the same. I had one game that I played today against Roy which was actually fun, two guys just running at each other, not holding the shield for ages or sitting in the corner waiting for the other guy to run at them, not spamming projectiles across the map. I lost but I had no complaints at all.
All the other games were just so sweaty and unenjoyable. Bear in mind, I’m using Marth, so maybe part of my frustration is based on the limitations of the character. But every single game had someone projectile camping in the corner of the map just waiting for me to run at them because I have no other choice. Or I’d take the lead on them, and they’d start shielding it up and would not move around at all and then they’d win off of shielding and spamming a power hit to finish me off.

2024.05.29 06:24 jjjacs Do I tell my family about my pregnancy? And, that I'm getting an abortion?

My family is pretty open. Definitely pro-choice.
But, they've always encouraged me to have kids. I have four sisters, all with 2-4 kids each. I'm close with my sisters. I'm the 6th child in my family.
The only person who hasn't encouraged me is my mum. She's always supported me... but I still feel that she'd have a vested interest in becoming a grandparent again. Dad has passed, he was a huge pro-life person.
I was recently with family visiting during my brothers final days... and will soon be travelling back over for his funeral.
My family and I stayed in an Airbnb together and they did notice me throwing up for two of the mornings. They were really concerned that something was wrong with me... but I just said that I'm okay and I'm just nauseated... and it's something my doctor is figuring out.
I wasn't drinking, I had to do some blood tests while I was there, and I feel paranoid that this would all be glaringly obvious to my sister who is a nurse... and a gossip.
Knowing my sisters also, they might put their sleuthing hats on and be collaborating on theories... but not telling me until I brought it up. So they might have figured it out already and just haven't told me.
I'm just not sure. I'd like to have some support outside my husband. But I'm not sure who else to reach out to.
My husband said I could reach out to his mum / my MIL. Again, I feel like there would be some vested interest. If I were to go through with the pregnancy, this would be her first grandbaby... and I feel like I'd make her sad or angry with my decision.
My friends have all gone through fertility journeys in some way. My best friend went through IVF for three years and is having her baby next month. I know my news would make her really sad.
I feel guilt that there was no "trying" involved between me and my husband... and it happened while I was on birth control... and it's a normal pregnancy. It feels wrong that I don't want a kid and I'm apparently ultra fertile, yet people who are longing for a child and would be the best parents can struggle. It doesn't feel fair on them.
The clinic I have an appointment with does do counselling, but that's decision-based counselling... not talking about how I'm feeling and providing support like a partner or friend would.
My husband doesn't want to talk about the pregnancy or how I'm feeling, I think it stresses him out too much. He's not really a supportive guy when it comes to emotions.
So I guess I keep looping back around... do I tell family and risk being guilted, in hopes I'll get some support... do I tell friends and risk making them feel sad... do I try clinic counselling and risk not getting what I need... do I keep talking with my husband and risk him shutting down and stressing out.
I can get a regular counsellor, but that'll be in a month's time... I feel like I need the support now from someone in my life.

2024.05.29 06:24 alexhartig 2022 EcoDiesel - 34k miles - Dealer warranty?

Hey all. Proud new owner of a nice 2022 ecodiesel with 34k miles. Purchased from dealer, only one previous owner on a lease. Truck looks brand new inside and out.
Dealer is offering a 5-year / 75k mile warranty for $2,000. Years would start from May 2024 and mileage would be added onto current… so through 109k miles.
Finance guy kept saying how diesels are so much more expensive to fix if something goes wrong …. Etc…..
What are your thoughts on here? Is the warranty worth it?
This will not be a regular commuter. Will be used on longer family camping trips or road trips, most likely 6-8k miles per year.

2024.05.29 06:24 Ketrimoner Warwick Support Synergy?

I've seen a guy named Bardinette sometimes play Warwick Sup successfully, and was wondering if the crazy healing from his passive would be a good synergy with Nilah. I've never played Nilah, and one of my WW otp friends had this WW/Nilah duo idea cooking.
I wanted to ask Nilah mains if that seems like a viable idea, and it would be worth for me to learn nilah to duo with my friend.
For those curious about how ww supp works, the guy plays ghost barrier, and builds full move speed (Shurelia's battlesong and Synchronized souls) and maxes W to sprint on people like a maniac and harrasses the enemy jungler like a parasite. In teamfights, E as many people as possible and ult. Bait when low hp

2024.05.29 06:24 Temporary-Car9388 Guy that I’m talking to has multiple posts of his ex situationship from 2022-2023. Is this a red flag?

Неу! So, I might this guy off tinder and we hit it off pretty well.He introduced me to all of his friends and we immediately began spending a lot of time together. He was such a gentleman and a genuinely caring person which I like.
However, I can recall two separate occasions:
The first one we were just hanging out watching this documentary. I noticed he kept getting phone calls over and over from this one girl almost at least 15 times during a span of two hours. He said that it was his friend calling because he said he would help her with her job applications. The second time was when a message from the same girl, asked "WYD"
I noted that as being strange but wrote them both off as them just being friends
Well, then, I finally started following him on Instagram. And I noticed that the girl with the same name that I had recognized popping up on his phone those other times was posted multiple times on his Instagram. In most of the posts, he had his arm around her, and there were comments from her that were sexually suggestive.
I decided to ask him straight up, who was this girl on his Instagram. He said it was an ex situationship that ended because of the toxicity, that they were just friends now, and that he was sorry for not bringing it up but he will be more honest and upfront with me.
The only thing is that I had been in a relationship were I heard the "we're just friends" line. But then later found out that they had a conversation during our relationship saying, if we broke up, they would plan to get together. Although he has given me no reason to not trust him and I'm try v not to inflict past trauma/ hurt on to the person i'm set can't help but be skeptical.
I can tell bv his actions and words that he likes me even though we're not official yet. But this seems to be waving a huge red flag for me and I don't want to look stupid and end up hurt in the end. Is this a red flag? An overreaction? Please help a girl out. Thank you!

The overall quality of the mount is impeccable, with a stylish design and a solid construction. The compatibility with various firearms, including the Omega 300" Hybrid and Harvester 338, is a major plus, as it allows for a seamless integration into my shooting setup.
However, one downside I noticed was that the installation process was a bit more complicated than expected. Despite this minor setback, the SilencerCo AC669 Harvester Big Bore proved to be a reliable and effective accessory for my firearms.

https://preview.redd.it/c75cfe3dla3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7ca22f52092c9c52e9cf3128329e4fa537397baa
As a gun enthusiast, I always appreciate a good suppressor for my firearms, and the SilencerCo Hybrid 1/2x36 ASR FH 9mm truly stands out. Its compatibility with the ASR mounting system makes it a breeze to install and remove. The patent-pending resonance suppression feature is a game-changer, eliminating that annoying tuning-fork effect that's so common with competing 3-prong flash hiders.
The design of the 3-port muzzle brake effectively reduces that harsh felt recoil and muzzle climb, making my shooting experience more enjoyable. However, I've noticed that the price point may be a bit higher than some other suppressors on the market, which could be a downside for some. My overall experience with the SilencerCo Hybrid 1/2x36 ASR FH 9mm has been positive, and I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking for an effective, easy-to-use suppressor.

🔗LEGRIS 22Lr Suppressor: High-Performance, Standard 1/2" BSPP Threaded Silencer

As a seasoned shooter, I recently had the chance to try out the Threaded Silencer by LEGRIS. This bad boy was a game-changer for my 22Lr firearm. The first thing I noticed was the impressive quality of the silencer; it felt sturdy and well-built.
The male thread connection on the silencer was a breeze to set up - it didn't require any extra tools or effort. It securely attached to my firearm without any wobbling, ensuring a stable and reliable fit. This made my shooting experience much more enjoyable and worry-free.
One of the standout features of the Threaded Silencer was its versatility. It could withstand temperatures ranging from -4°F to a scorching 300°F. This made it a reliable option for various shooting environments and conditions. Its ability to handle such a wide temperature range set it apart from other silencers I've used in the past.
However, the Threaded Silencer did come with a slight drawback. While it was easy to attach, removing it proved to be a bit of a challenge. It took a bit of force and some patience to unscrew it, which could be a minor inconvenience for some users.
Overall, the Threaded Silencer by LEGRIS was a reliable and well-built option for my 22Lr firearm. Its impressive temperature range and sturdy construction made it a standout choice among other silencers I've tried. While there was a slight inconvenience with the removal process, it didn't deter me from enjoying my shooting experience with this high-quality silencer.

The Rugged Suppressors Obsidian is an exceptional fixed mount designed for carbine and subgun platforms with fixed barrels. It's been a game-changer in my daily life, providing a seamless experience with its robust construction and sleek black finish.
One of the highlights of this product is the thread mount, which securely attaches, making it perfectly suitable for fixed barrels. The model Fixed Mount has proven to deliver top-notch performance under various conditions.
However, there are some cons to consider. For starters, the Obsidian isn't without its share of bulkiness, which could pose a challenge for those seeking a slimmer profile. Moreover, while it's durable, it does require proper installation and maintenance.
Overall, this suppressor has made a significant impact on my firearm experience, bringing a new level of precision and comfort to my shooting. It's not without its quirks, but that's part of the journey.

Using the Dead Air Nomad-30 E-Brake KA180, I noticed the significant difference it made when compared to other suppressors. The enhanced muzzle break helped to tame the recoil of my firearm, allowing me to maintain accuracy and precision during my shooting sessions. It truly lived up to its promise, offering a unique solution for suppressor enthusiasts looking to minimize felt recoil.
Though it might not be the most compact option available, it certainly stands out in terms of performance. It proved itself to be highly reliable and efficient, requiring minimal maintenance. The pricing, while not the most affordable, is certainly justified considering its exceptional features and performance. Overall, the Dead Air Nomad-30 E-Brake KA180 is an excellent choice for those seeking to enhance their suppressor experience.

🔗Advanced Silencer for 3/8 in. Carbon Rods - 22Lr Suppressor

https://preview.redd.it/jbzk3bxfla3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=95f1a763eeb10a4a013127a8cd823ce2c4018331
As an avid hunter, I've grown accustomed to the loud noise that often accompanies each shot when using a suppressor. It can be a nuisance, especially when I'm trying to maintain stealth during my hunting expeditions. That's when I stumbled upon the Saunders Vudu-X String Stop Black 3/8 in. Daimeter 8 in. Rod.
This innovative suppressor caught my attention with its patented, high-performance compound bow string silencer that replaces my carbon rod dampener. The moment I installed it, I noticed a significant difference in the level of noise it produced. Gone were the resonant strikes and replaced with a much quieter experience.
What sets the Vudu-X apart is its ability to trap the string in a recoil chamber, effectively silencing every single shot. It also absorbed limb shock, making my overall shooting experience smoother and more comfortable.
However, it wasn't all good news. The Vudu-X sometimes felt a bit bulky, making it slightly harder to maneuver compared to my previous suppressor. Nevertheless, the benefits greatly outweighed the minor inconvenience.
Overall, I'm happy with the Saunders Vudu-X String Stop Black 3/8 in. Daimeter 8 in. Rod as my suppressor of choice. Its ability to significantly reduce noise and absorb limb shock makes it a worthwhile investment for any hunter seeking a more discreet and comfortable shooting experience.

What is a 22Lr suppressor?

A 22LR suppressor is a device that is designed to reduce the noise created by a 22LR (. 22 Long Rifle) rifle when the trigger is pulled. This device, also known as a silencer, helps to make shooting more enjoyable in noise-sensitive environments and ensures that others nearby are not bothered by the sound.

What are the benefits of using a 22Lr suppressor?

https://preview.redd.it/t4cvicghla3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4486a1c5cd452988fd00006daa65205a3fda6eab
  • Improved shooting experience: A suppressor significantly reduces the noise generated during firing, making the experience more pleasant and enjoyable for both the shooter and others nearby.
  • Safety: Reduced noise can help protect your hearing over time, especially if you shoot frequently.
  • Less disturbance: Suppressors help to reduce noise pollution, minimizing interference with wildlife and other nearby people or activities.

How does a 22Lr suppressor work?

A 22LR suppressor works by using a series of baffles to slow down and dissipate the high-speed gas generated by the firing of a 22LR bullet. This gas, in turn, cools down and reduces the noise created during firing. The suppressor's internal components are typically made from materials that are heat-resistant and can withstand the high temperatures and pressures generated by the firing process.

Are suppressors legal to own and use?

The legality of owning and using suppressors varies by country and sometimes by state or province. In the United States, ownership of suppressors is permitted under the National Firearms Act, provided that the owner holds a valid Federal Firearms License and has completed the necessary background checks and paperwork. It is recommended to consult with local authorities or experts for the most accurate information regarding your specific situation.

How do I choose the right 22Lr suppressor for my needs?

  • Consider the type of shooting you plan to do: Different suppressors are designed for specific applications, such as hunting or target shooting. Be sure to choose one that is suitable for your intended use.
  • Research materials and construction: High-quality materials and construction will ensure a durable and effective suppressor that can withstand a variety of shooting conditions.
  • Check for user reviews and ratings: Reading reviews from other users can help you understand the pros and cons of different models and make an informed decision.
  • Consult with experts: Seek advice from knowledgeable individuals, such as gun store owners or experienced shooters, to help you find the best suppressor for your needs.

What are some popular 22Lr suppressors on the market?

Popular 22LR suppressors on the market include the SilencerCo Omega 36M, the Rugged Suppressors Fatboy 22, and the Tactical Innovations 22LR Pro.

2024.05.29 06:22 Killer_Queen27 Workaholics

A workaholic experiences an inability to limit the amount of time they spend on work despite negative consequences such as damage to their relationships or health.
While thinking about the topic of this post, the term ‘Workaholics’ seemed to fit. However, the actual meaning of this term is quite negative in many spheres of life. This is a comprehensive collection of experiences of the people who I deem to be workaholics, in a positive way. Their passion for work and their mentality make them quite interesting and inspiring. The use of the word ‘Workaholic’ is just to emphasize their love for work and their burning passion to rise to the top.
_________________________________________________________________________________________
I got an opportunity to spend a day with a civil engineer. Not a normal civil engineer. She is an odd one out. Her rise is not astronomical, her business is not known worldwide. She is not someone who caused a revolution in her field, nor did she invent something that turned the world of civil engineering upside down. Her presence will not glorify her and her absence will not be commemorated. She is not a sun that shined upon the Earth. But she is someone who never thought of looking back. The sheer fact that her mentality inspired someone to write about her makes her quite interesting and unique.
From the start of the conversation, she was very optimistic and cheerful. She said that Civil engineering is all about creativity. If you have a vivid imagination, you are better off pursuing creative sectors like Architecture. The human mind is capable of wild imagination, but it is only those minds which could create masterpieces out of empty canvases become successful in these sectors. This is not some mere dramatization. They literally create structures from their imagination. They give life to their ideas and make them the reality which we experience.
According to her, it is not always the big things that matter. People who first found out that joining two individual dots will give you a line, would have also found out that four lines can be used to construct a square. These squares become the building blocks of complex structures. This way of looking at tasks, decomposing them into understandable segments makes them way easier.
The one contradicting thing about her is how she selected civil engineering while thinking about her career. To be honest, it was not in her hands. She did not grow up aspiring to be a civil engineer. Her circumstances and popular opinions made the choice, pushing her to become what she is today. Fortunately, what she is today is also what she would have aspired, if she had the choice earlier.
Successful people are not always passionate. But passionate people are always successful. Workaholics are not those who do their passion for work, but they are the people who work passionately despite their situations. The Universe pulls the strings from the back. But these guys were the first ones to overlook it. They turn unfortunate circumstances into advantages and turn work into their aspiration. These are the people I deem to be Workaholics.
_________________________________________________________________________________________
This is the first interaction-based article that I have ever written. This took almost a month to write. It was so hard to remember the points that she had told, and it was too awkward for me to take notes. From the start till the end, it was a ride.
Cheers!
