About me: Skills I’m a 25 year old Army vet. I’m a leftist/progressive-leaning man. I am currently pursuing a BA in Mech. I am also a father to an amazing 2-year old who loves going outside whether it be to the park or to the museum/aquarium! INFJ personality type with a more charismatic/commanding (not aggressive and overbearing though) tone of voice but I’m told I’m also very funny with a pretty dark sense of humor. I also love to bake, cook, grill, fry all of it! A.M.: Interests I love watching anime and have watched hundreds of anime in my time and have plenty more to watch/finish. Im your typical nerd for LotR, DnD, Elder Scrolls/lore-rich games. ICE’s and engine’s in general interest me a lot F1/Rally Racing is starting to gain momentum with me. I like to thrift/outlet/antique shop because you find great stuff there. I love plant shopping and farmers markets too. A.M.: Appearance Appearance-wise, I’d say I’m a fairly attractive guy. I’m 5’9”, 175lbs and climbing (trying to gain some more mass) decently fit and athletic with a lil bit of a dad bod, ginger with a FULL beard/mustache combo with a typical mid-skin fade as my go to cut, so more or less clean cut. I love the sun, and not as fair skinned as most gingers are so I can handle lake/beach days and all that! I have a septum piercing and so far that’s it. From what little I remember, MC created a world, and then went in to live in it. However he has little recollection of his actual self. And a final detail I can remember is that he was 1. Quite overpowered and 2. He could edit how much "gold" he had and stuff. I read this quite a few years back and what I remember is only a faint memory.

I used to frequent this sub a lot but been focused on work a lot but now I'm finding myself with a lot of free time and a lack of friends who want to physically go out.
As the title says I'm looking for people who live around the NW of the UK.
After dedicating a lot of my time to my work life and nerd life I find myself lacking in real world activities and I don't mean just going to the club to get shit faced. I would like to go visit nice places, have someone to go to the cinema with or even just go on a nice hike to take some nice pictures on my drone.

Hoping that you never read this letter, that is to say, that I never send it to you,
I think back to your story from yesterday. Imagining what you went through while you were telling me made my blood run cold. You didn't tell me what that boy might have said and repeated to you; it was enough to understand the destructive force of his obsession and relentlessness to trigger deep compassion in me. It was the first time I heard someone talk about their stalker. Now that I think back, I realize even more how much of an ordeal it must have been. He stole your right to a peaceful daily life and replaced it with a tentacular grip motivated by hopes whose futility he could only consciously ignore. Yet he believed in it, he thought, at least for a moment, that one more message, one more letter would finally win you over. Probably his mind crossed the point of no return, that he couldn't repent, that he had gone too far. Probably he didn't realize that the love he had for you—if he loved you, if that can decently be called love, if he is even capable of love—had turned into an uncontrollable anger of which you were the constant victim. Probably he thought he loved you but also wanted to hurt you, pursuing two completely contradictory goals: to seduce you to attract you and to punish you for rejecting him. So, I quickly agreed with you when you said his behavior was pathological. You learned you were not the only one.
I wouldn't say that one of my first thoughts was to believe that I wasn't like that, as if not being sick deserved a medal or the invented applause of an indefinite crowd living in a corner of my brain. This kind of perversion seemed so far from me that I could only be sincerely sorry for you. I don't even know how many times I told you how sorry I was for you and how brave I found you for filing a complaint, confronting the situation, and reacting with such strength despite the mental cost it might represent.
At that moment, I felt pure sympathy for you. It had nothing to do with me; I disappeared from the discussion, erased myself from the world just to listen to you and give your story the full respect it deserves. Then, we changed the subject, and I remember the atmosphere became lighter. I couldn't tell you what we talked about at that moment as I've been thinking since yesterday.
You paid for our lattes and walked me to my bike. I'm certain I saw fear cross your face when I told you which street I had parked my bike on. I sensed—without really knowing, though it had crossed my mind—that I had parked it near your home, and I understood your fear. I tried to imagine what went through your mind at that moment, and this is what stuck with me: I was almost at your place, almost at your door, and it wasn't planned, and this "coincidence" reminded you of your fears and your anxiety of living under a grip, of losing control of your privacy. However, this fear seemed to disappear as quickly as it had arrived, and I decided not to think about it anymore. When we reached my bike, I decided to trust my instinct to find the courage to say the words stuck in my heart; I didn't yet know if I would simply propose to see you again or add that I wanted to kiss you. I liked you a lot. A lot. I think I still do.
You spoke first: "I think I'm not ready to see someone yet." I responded almost automatically that I completely understood given your situation. I don't think this automatic response showed a lack of sincerity, on the contrary. You weren't ready, and that seemed so overwhelmingly logical that I could only surrender to the obviousness of it. You added that you were sorry for wasting my time, and I replied that the time spent with you hadn't been wasted. We said goodbye. I had accepted your no.
Yet, as I watched you leave, I wondered first if I should send you a message, then what kind of message to send, and finally how to make you believe that I was also closing the door to all possibilities while subtly, secretly, leaving the door slightly open for another meeting, maybe even a relationship. I wanted to turn your no into a yes, or at worst, into a maybe. Even as this reasoning was forming, I passively observed the perversity and malice spreading throughout my psyche. I saw an obsession with you taking root, and I couldn't shake it off. On my bike, I cursed myself for having this reflex thought, and I was terrified, devastated to see it persist as I imagined the message I shouldn't send you; as it became more precise, more twisted, more manipulative with each pedal stroke, I saw myself as a gambler who had to choose each word meticulously to maximize his chances of winning. Very quickly, I identified with your stalker despite myself, and for that, I hated myself. I hated myself for despising him while sharing the object of his obsession. It was also incomprehensible that I didn't even bother or feel the need to rationalize my reasoning or excuse any sense of shame. I was like that, and there was nothing I could do about it.
Once home, I mechanically started working, and within a few minutes, my draft had taken its final form, and without thinking twice, I sent you a text message:
5:10 PM "Hey, D. I apologize in advance if this message sounds like I'm trying to get my foot in the door—I can understand that it might be the last thing you need—but that's not the case. I just wanted to reiterate that I really enjoyed our two little outings together and that I would hate for you to think that you wasted my time. You're a great girl, very brave—I sincerely mean that—and you deserve all the time you need to consider a relationship of any kind with someone. I'm not expecting any particular response from you and I wish you the best."
Rewriting and rereading this message disgusts me, obviously. The truth and lies are so well intertwined that I could almost be proud of it. The first sentence perfectly illustrates the ambivalence of the whole text: on one hand, I want to get my foot in the door, but I absolutely want to assure you otherwise, and on the other, I know that acting this way will bring nothing good, especially for you, but I do it anyway. The last sentence is also superbly ambiguous: I want you to believe that my message stands alone, but in reality, I hope you'll reply. This ambiguity actually reveals one thing: I'm clinging to the completely crazy hope that I can manage to seduce you by showing that I respect your rejection.
You replied:
5:35 PM "Hey R., thank you very much for your message and your kindness. I also had a good time during these two outings. I thought I could do it, but it's still too early for me! I wish you the best too."
Winning bet. I hate myself for succeeding in cloaking my intentions in kindness and benevolence and for my lie triumphing. Deep down, I know I would have suffered if you hadn't responded and that this absence of response would have fed my obsession. But in a way, my message protected me. As long as you didn't respond and I didn't fail by breaking my promise and sending you another message, I preserved this illusion of benevolence.
By responding, it's as if you offered yourself to my obsession, validated it unknowingly, and gave me permission to break the promise I made to you.
That's when I got scared and decided I had to talk to someone, as if I needed to confess—or be exorcised—and I thought that, in any case, I could free myself from this weight that was suffocating and blinding me. I joined U. and warned him that I needed to talk to him about you. Sitting on the terrace at the Relais, I told him as best I could about your story and the sincere empathy I had felt. I continued by explaining the disgust I had felt towards my behavior. U. nodded and understood and found the words to reassure me. He got up and went up inside at the counter of the bar to order us some drinks, leaving me alone at our table on Rue de Belleville.
I was left to my thoughts when I saw you arriving on the opposite sidewalk at the corner of Rue Rampal. I couldn't help but first believe that I had manifested your presence by projecting your features onto a stranger's face, as if my subconscious wanted to demonstrate the quasi-psychedelic power of my obsession. As I realized it was indeed you, a wave of anxiety overwhelmed me. I don't know if you saw me, I think you did. I immediately thought of your perspective; you couldn't help but notice the curious appearance of the boy you had confided your stalker story to just a few hours earlier. In an instant, I resumed the role that had traumatized you, and in taking it up despite myself, my questions were confirmed, and a sordid prophecy was being fulfilled before my eyes. I felt as if chance had crossed the red line for me and that I could only be what I dreaded becoming. I stared at you, trying to mentally convey my confusion and distress, as to make you understand that this absolutely was just an unfortunate coincidence.
U. returned as you were crossing the street, and I commented on the scene to him. "Sometimes life really messes with us," he said.

I’m relatively new to the world of Jungian psychology, so I’m not sure how day dreaming ties in to all this. But I can’t help but feel it’s not good for me at all. Me escaping as much as I do does not seem healthy.
It’s like everything I watch, especially sports, and even movies and tv, I put myself in place of the main characters/players. I think the main problem is that in many ways it’s not me in the scenarios, it’s an ideal version of me sharing very few similarities. Different/better looks, different personality, someone I want to be basically. But in many ways someone I simply can’t be. The only time it’s ME is when it’s something like imagining me with superpowers or something, but with my human flaws, pain, and all that.
Any one else have experience with this? Were you able to break free from it?

Hey everyone, I (teenage, male) have been into calisthenics and working out for about two years now. It's become a huge part of my life, and I really enjoy pushing my limits and seeing the progress I make. On the other hand, my friends have a very different lifestyle. They prefer to spend their free time playing video games, watching TV, and generally not doing much physical activity.
At first, it didn't bother me. We still hung out and did the usual teenage stuff. But as I got more serious about my fitness routine, I found myself wanting to spend more time at the gym or in the park doing workouts. I started inviting my friends to join me, thinking it would be fun and maybe even beneficial for them. But they always had excuses: too tired, too busy, not interested.
I tried to balance things out for a while, but it became increasingly frustrating. Whenever we'd hang out, they'd just lounge around, play video games, and eat junk food. I felt like I was wasting my time, especially when I could be doing something productive like working out or researching new calisthenics routines.
Eventually, I started declining their invitations more often, choosing to focus on my workouts instead. They noticed and started calling me out, saying I was becoming a "workaholic" and that I didn't care about them anymore. They even made fun of me for being "obsessed" with fitness. I tried to explain how important it was to me and how I wished they would at least try to understand or join me sometimes. But they didn't get it.
Now, they're saying I'm the one being unreasonable and that I've changed for the worse. They miss the old me who used to chill with them without a care. But I feel like I'm just growing and prioritizing what makes me happy and healthy. AITA for growing distant from my lazy friends because I'm so into my workouts?
I don't want to lose my friends, but I also don't want to compromise on something that's become so important to me. I could use some outside perspective on this.

I am looking to try and find new RP partners interested in RPing various fandoms that i am interested in. I prefer to play with literate RP partners who can achieve a paragraph length, and maybe go beyond that if really inspired. Since I'm new to paramotor I want to say hello to everyone!
I'm starting with a problem that bothers me for some time now; I'll ellaborate on my background and experience later on but now here's the thing: I have hard times trusting the reflex profile while in the air - whenever the bumps occur I go full in on trims and active-fly. Why is it bad (for me)? Because I can't really relax and enjoy the flight. I know I don't benefit from the reflex profile - it's supposed to increase the wing stability (which it probably does) and yet I'm decreasing it by trimming the wing in.
Question: have you had similar concerns and managed to overcome them? How did you do it, how much time did it take. Contrary, have you experienced any harm or other issues while in reflex mode which now make you distrust reflex profile?
Background: I started free paragliding (no motor) like 10 years ago and have ~100h airtime. Not very much, I know, I was a weekend type of a pilot, or more precisely, pretty unsuccessful in thermal flying ;-) So 3 years ago I decided to move to paramotor to be able to spend more time flying than waiting for the thermals to start working. I took the full course, exam, bought the gear and try enjoying this sport.
On the free paraglider I'm not afraid of thermals, I can fly mid-day, on sunny, no clouds day without much issue. When I hit thermal I just start centering it, thermals are in fact key to free flying. I know that the wing may collapse, that's pretty much ok, I more-less know what to expect.
Key difference in paramotor vs free flying is that I know the lines can get tangled in the whole motor hardware, the cage, the prop, all that stuff. Plus, the engine on the back adds huge inertia and besides it limits the free movements. Contrary to free-paraglinding, I assume I won't be able to recover control over the wing in case it collapses. All that makes the thermals on paramotor scary (to me).
So I purchased the reflex wing (Dudek Solo) knowing that paramotor folks fly that in its reflex setting and enjoy. Result of that is I trim out only when it's calm in the air.
I studied the theory of reflex profile, I know how it works, I understand why, and yet I still can't trust it while I'm in the air. So I recently talked to my instructor, a truly experienced guy, not only in paragliding (30+ years), paramotoring but also airplane pilot, skydiver, wingsuit flyer, etc. He suggested: "gain 1000ft more than usual, trim out, and enjoy, the reflex profile will take care. Bumps are not nice but they won't make the wing collapse".
Why do I want to fly in thermals? First because I'm not scared of them on the free paragliding ;-) Second, more important, I want to fly cross-country and it's not possible only early in the morning and late afternoon, instead I want to be able to launch like 3-4 p.m and have ~4h flight (my gear is capable of that).

Greetings, YelanMains! I come to you today with a different type of Yelan build. Instead of a build for her in-game, I'm gonna be showcasing how to build and play Yelan in Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition. This is something I've been doing for Genshin characters recently, and I wanna share it with you all.
Let’s start off with our goals for this build. First, we need to be a master at manipulation, intel gathering, and espionage. Secondly, we need to wield a bow, as that’s your weapon of choice. Lastly, we need to utilize magical abilities to support your allies, as while we won’t be able to replicate her abilities exactly, we’ll still keep that support role for her.
(Please note that I stopped playing Genshin when Yelan came out, so I know next to nothing about her lore or character other than she's like a spy for Ningguang or something like that)
For stats, we’ll be using the Standard Point array from the Player’s Handbook. Roll for stats if you want, just keep your Dexterity and Charisma high for multiclassing.
15 Charisma, as you are a master of manipulation and deception.
14 Dexterity, as you are nimble, and it’s the stat for bows.
13 Intelligence, as being a secret agent requires a sharp mind.
12 Wisdom, as you are very insightful and good at reading people
10 Constitution, as while I hate to have it low, you are canonically frail
And lastly, 8 Strength, as again, you are frail.
For Race, Yelan is a human, and Variant Humans get a Feat. The Actor Feat is perfect for going undercover. You get +1 to Charisma, advantage on Deception and Performance checks to pass off as another person, and you can spend a minute listening in on someone to mimic their speech. Bump your Intelligence and Charisma with your 2 Free points, take Perception for your Skill of choice, and the Spy Background for Stealth and Deception as you are an Intelligence Agent.
We’ll kick things off as a Rogue. 1st Level Rogues can pick 4 Skills from the Rogue list. Insight, Persuasion, Sleight of Hand, and Investigation would be my picks. You also get Expertise in 2 of those Skills, doubling your proficiency bonus with them. Go for Persuasion and Deception to order your way around everyone. You also learn Thieves Cant, letting you speak in secret code words, and Sneak Attack, giving you an extra d6 to add to a weapon attack once per turn if you either have advantage on the attack roll or have an ally within 5 feet of you.
2nd Level Rogues get Cunning Action, letting you Dash, Disengage, or Hide as a Bonus Action.
3rd Level Rogues get to pick a Roguish Archetype, and Inquisitive is useful for uncovering information. You have an Eye for Detail, letting you use a bonus action to make a Perception or Investigation check to find a hidden creature or object or check for clues. You also have an Ear for Deceit, meaning you cannot roll lower than an 8 on any Insight check to tell if someone is lying. You also get Insightful Fighting, letting you use a bonus action to have a creature you can see make a Deception check contested by your Insight check. If you succeed, then you can use your Sneak Attack on that creature without needing advantage or another ally for up to a minute or until you use it on someone else. Lastly, 3rd Level Rogues get Steady Aim, letting you use a bonus action to gain advantage on your next ranged attack roll as long as you don’t move or haven’t moved that turn, and Your Sneak Attack increases to 2d6.
4th Level Rogues get an Ability Score Improvement or a Feat. We’ll take the Skill Expert Feat for +1 to Charisma, Proficiency in Intimidation, and Expertise in Insight.
Now that we have our sneaky Rogue stuff handled for now, let’s multiclass into Bard, as while Yelan isn’t a singer or performer, Bards, much like Rogues, are very good in social situations. Multiclassing into Bard gets you 1 free Skill. Acrobatics would be my pick. You get Bardic Inspiration, letting you use a bonus action to give an ally a d6 they can use to add to an attack roll, ability check, or saving throw within the next 10 minutes, an amount of times per long rest equal to your Charisma modifier, similar to an Exquisite Roll. You can also cast spells as your Vision does grant you magical abilities. For your Cantrips, take Vicious Mockery and Message. For your spells, take Silvery Barbs, Charm Person, Dissonant Whispers, and Command.
2nd Level Bards get Jack of All Trades, letting you add half your proficiency bonus to any ability check you aren’t proficient with, which include initiative rolls. You also get Song of Rest, letting your allies add an extra d6 whenever they spend hit dice to restore HP during a short rest to keep them up in the field. You also get the option of Magical Inspiration, letting an ally who has a Bardic Inspiration die use it to add to the damage or healing of a spell.
3rd Level Bards can pick a Bard College, and College of Whispers is another fine choice for a deceptive and manipulative agent. You get Psychic Blades, letting you spend a Bardic Inspiration to deal an extra 2d6 Psychic damage with a weapon attack once per turn. You also get Words of Terror, letting you spend a minute talking to someone alone and have them make a Wisdom saving throw or be frightened by you or another creature you choose for up to an hour or until the target is attacked. If they succeed, they have no indication you tried to frighten them. You can now also learn 2nd Level Spells. Take the spells Hold Person and Zone of Truth to catch them in the net.
Last, but not least, 3rd Level Bards get Expertise in 2 more Skills. Go for Perception and Investigation.
4th Level Bards get an Ability Score Improvement. Cap your Charisma for the most Bardic Inspiration and better spells and skills. Take the spell Invisibility.
5th Level Bards get Font of Inspiration, meaning your Bardic Inspiration now recharges on a short rest as well, and it also upgrades from a d6 to a d8. You can also learn 3rd Level Spells. Take the Spell Nondetection. Your damage from Psychic Blades also increases to 3d6.
6th Level Whispers Bards get Mantle of Whispers, letting you use your reaction to capture the shadow of a humanoid that dies within 30 feet of you. Until you finish a long rest, you can use your action to assume the form of the Shadow, taking on the humanoid’s appearance for 1 hour or until you end it as a bonus action. While you're disguised, you gain access to all information that the humanoid would freely share with a casual acquaintance, Such information as general details on its background and personal life, and you gain a +5 bonus to Deception checks when someone tries to see through your disguise. Once you capture a shadow, you cannot do so again until you finish a short or long rest. For your spell, take Hypnotic Pattern.
Lastly, 6th Level Bards get Countercharm, letting you use your action to give you and your allies advantage on saving throws against being charmed or frightened, but this feature is honestly pretty bad.
Back to Rogue for the rest of the build. 5th Level Rogues get Uncanny Dodge, letting you use your reaction to halve the damage you take from an attack against you. Your Sneak Attack also increases to 3d6.
6th Level Rogues get Expertise in 2 more skills. Go for Stealth and Intimidation.
7th Level Rogues get Evasion, meaning when you make a Dexterity saving throw to avoid damage, you take no damage on a success, and only half on a failure. Your Sneak Attack also increases to 4d6.
8th Level Rogues get another Ability Score Improvement. Bump your Dexterity for better AC, damage, and initiative.
9th Level Inquisitive Rogues get Steady Eye, giving you advantage on Perception and Investigation checks if you use no more than half your movement that turn. Your Sneak Attack also increases to 5d6.
10th Level Rogues get another Ability Score Improvement. Keep bumping your Dexterity.
11th Level Rogues get Reliable Talent, meaning you cannot roll lower than a 10 on any skill you have Proficiency or Expertise with. Your Sneak Attack also increases to 6d6.
12th Level Rogues get our last Ability Score Improvement. Cap your Dexterity for the best damage, AC and Initiative.
We’ll finish off the build with 2 Levels in Fighter. 1st Level Fighters can pick a Fighting Style, and Archery will add +2 to the attack rolls you make with Ranged weapons. You also get Second Wind, letting you heal 1d10+your Fighter level as a bonus action once per short or long rest to stay up in the fight.
Our Capstone is the 2nd Level of Fighter for Action Surge, letting you take an additional action once per rest.
Now that we’ve hit Level 20, let’s go over the strengths of this build. First, you are insanely good in social situations. You have Expertise in 6 Skills, and paired with Reliable Talent, your minimum for any Charisma check is a 28, along with Mantle of Whispers, making you a master at gathering intel and espionage. You also have solid damage thanks to Action Surge, Sneak Attack and Psychic Blades, letting you deal up to 11d6+10 damage in a single round, with Steady Aim to gain advantage. Lastly, you’re a really good support with Bardic Inspiration and useful crowd control spells.
For weaknesses, you are VERY squishy, sitting at 105 average HP. While you do have Evasion, Uncanny Dodge, range, and a decent 17 AC with Studded Leather, if you’re caught in the wrong situation, then you’re gonna go down easily. You’re also vulnerable to Strength saving throws, meaning you can easily be tossed around. Lastly, you have multiple features that require your bonus action, meaning you’ll have to pick and choose what to use each turn.

My family was actually a part of this church for a long time now and I started to feel the "Struggle" and lost of freedom when im here in this organization.
To give you a "Clear" View of how things actually work inisde of one of thier meetings. he'res how it is actually.
They start of with singing hymns. seems pretty fine right?
Then they started praying. not together. but one by one. And if you don't pray. it's still fine though but hey will then think "Somethings wrong with this guy! maybe he's to accupied with the world and it's Sins" (actually what they meant about the world is "The outside world" or Society for instance. they litteraly brainwash you into thinking. Society isn't the better place and that. Satan himself was the one actualy behind all of it! sounds scary though).
After that. all of us are to read this books. which of course we're the writtings of watchman lee and nee. and not just that. you have to pray read them after. (If you don't know whats "Pray reading" its a combination of "Reading and praying" like if the given verse in book says "God is love" you will then pray and thank God for his love towards us and that his love is forver lasting and this and that. seems quiet long process though and its quiet tirring)
then after, Some brother will then stand up and explain to all of you what actually the contents are. ussualy will take up to 1 hour and so.
and after him speaking will be the hardest part for most kids and teenagers alike
it is that you have to speak infront of all the brothers and sisters. and share to everybody what you have learned. (Of course the call this "Phrophesying" cause it says in the Bible "Some of your brothers shall Prophesy!"
and that will actually cause nightmares to those who's to shy to speak.
and thier are some times we're the brothers will consfiscate thier gadgets and force them to speak infront. totally taking their dignitg away from them.
and if they refute. they will then brainwash them for being to dissobiedient to them and that thier letting themselves used by the devil for not following the rules. (Of course the most accurute way as posibble)
So we're done with the "Meetings" so lets go with the beliefs.
I'm not actually disrespecting thier beliefs as well. but I'm here to ahow you what they believe in and that you have to decide for yourselves.

1. They believe that the world (Society) is under Satans Usurpation.

Of course. They believe that anything that is not of God belongs to Satan.
And of anything that can replace God is also of Satan.
(To those asking in the comments to why some individuals lost thier family and friends upon entering this Movement. then here is your answer.)
According to them, actually. anything that can replace your love towards Christ is by means a part of the devils Usurpation.
And this is where it gets hard.
Anything from Phones Gadgets, Educations, Jobs and even your Families and friends.
According to thier belief. Tiktok, Youtube, and Facebook are all Apps that are used for Satan to Brainwash and separate you from God.
Which is the same reason phones are Confiscated before the meeting starts.
And not just That. according to their belief. Friends and families can also be used by Satan to drive you away from God.(Answers to your Questions to why Some individuals who tried to join this group actually end up lossing thier relationship with thier friends and families)
And Question? Why Families and friends are involved in this?
Well its still based on thier one belief.
According to them. If your Family is an Unbeliever (To them it's a Family who Actally don't believe in the teachings of The living stream ministry and witness lee) are a hindrance to your Christian life.
Actually. your family just wants you to be in the same religion as thiers but things go down far with this one.
They might portray your family. with them stopping you from going to church. (You know so to stick in one religion) As Bieng told by the devil to stop you from coming to Christ.(Of course since they believe that thier religion is the purest)
And with all of that. They could also state that. by loving your family. its also a hindrance towards your love to Christ (Since thier actually basing it on the Bible verse found in Genesis that states "Though shall not worship other Gods except me") which they firmly stick to the belief as well.
How about with the friends? How is it going to do with the this?
Well according to them. Your worldly friends (Of course the friends you found at school) Can. according to them. be used by Satan to Brainwash you into doing stuffs appart from Christ. Of course you've ask me what are those? Well those are mostly what you do with your friend like Hanging out with your friends. Playing video games, and by doing tiktok and stuff. Mostly normal things to do as a teenagers bu they consider it a "Sin" in the eyes of God.
And with this is that.
Your not allowed to listen to "Worldly Music"
So when you go to this Church. Don't show them with you playing "Taylor Swift" and "Doja Cat" or they'lle end up thinking you have been "defiled by the world" of course you. According to them. Have been brainwashed by Society. And that the Devil has taken Control over your life.
Don't take this as an insult to the group but I'm only giving you the most accurate Depiction as possible.

When your feelings depressed and have gone through a lot of troubles in life. they don't actually give you advice. Instead they would just tell you that your lossing your contact with Christ and That the devil is now planting evil thought in your mind. Which most Teenagers with depression doesn't like to hear.

Well. losing a Job is the most hardest part in life right. but thier response is different for this.

Actually this is a Verse from the bible where Peter told Jesus that he should not be nailed to the cross for he has done nothing wrong. with Jesus answering "Get behind me satan!" for being a hindrance to Gods plan. which of course that Jesus is to be crucified so to save humanity from the sins of the world.
What is actually Bad here is that with someone telling unrelated or ditracting stuffs inside the Church. they will then tell them "Get behind me satan!" Which of course can gave an insult to people who actually heard them being preffered to as "Satan"

And that includes your Boyfriend and Girlfriend Which of course according to them can replace your love towards Christ.
This actually has Gone to far. and can rip someones dignity and freedom over.

And that your not allowed to have one! not even a single one! Which kinda make me mad of Them controlling your life!

My partner and I are both in the medical field, but in different specialties. In the past, he’s put down other specialities by saying things like how he’s in one of the only fields where he won’t have to deal with dirty, difficult patients and how his field won’t have to worry about NPs and PAs taking over because they can’t do what he does. With that in mind, I do tend to be a little bit more defensive when I feel like he’s being too critical of other specialities or take it personally when he says stuff about what I’m doing, which is emergency medicine. He works at a place he doesn’t like and will share a lot of stories. I try to listen as best as I can, but at times when he says stuff I don’t agree with I’ll say so. He’ll then turn around and accuse me of not being supportive and empathetic.
A recent example would be when he was sharing a story about a patient transferred up from the emergency department who the urologist wouldn’t treat due to the patient not having insurance. In the story, he placed the blame on the EM doctor and said how lazy he was because he didn’t verify if the patient had insurance and how they missed one of the diagnosis of the patient. I pointed out how EM will treat patients regardless of whether or not they have insurance and how their job is to stabilize the patient. Also, the diagnosis that the patient was admitted for was urgent, so at the time checking if the patient had insurance probably wasn’t priority. If they find something that needs admission they will admit them based on that and then later other diagnosis might come up after they’ve been admitted.
He then got upset at me saying I wasn’t being supportive of him and not listening to him vent. He said I should’ve asked him how it made him feel and observing the interaction was traumatic for him, because he was there and felt bad for the patient. I can agree with feeling bad for the patient, but I feel he changed it to being something personal after I pointed out his extensive critique, because prior to that the story was told more so focused on how terrible the EM doctor was. At the same time, I do understand if the story was something personal to him or if he was affected, but still I feel like that doesn’t give a free pass to criticize the way he tends to.
Things like this come up from time to time and I’m conflicted with how to approach these situations. Is this something where I should just agree and not point out things I don’t agree with? I want to be supportive and empathetic, but I feel like it becomes difficult in situations like these.
TLDR: My bf will share stories from work being overly critical about other specialities and when I don’t agree with his criticism he’ll tell me I’m not being supportive enough. How can I be supportive when I don’t agree with what he’s saying?

I have a server with 300G of RAM and I'm preallocating ~192G of it as huge pages by passing hugepagesz=1G hugepages=192 args to kernel command line.
As a result, I see these lines in dmesg:

Without such preallocation there is not such gap in timestamps. Anybody has a clue why it takes so much for kernel to reserve huge pages?

I heard that Cyberpunk was pretty crap upon release but to my understanding it is now a very good game after many updates and tweaking? I remember being excited when it was first announced and I love the aesthetic of the whole game
I’m also a fan of all the Harry Potter movies so Legacy definitely interests me. For years I didn’t think an open-world Harry Potter game would ever exist so it’s definitely an exciting concept!
I understand that these three games are probably the crème de la crème of open-word gaming lol, but I think the ability to explore endless locations and immerse yourself in the open world is the aspect of a game more than I value more than anything else. So i’m interested in what you guys think is the best game here to buy? If you could only buy one then what would it be?
