But, do some people take a lower dose during the day to combat times when they are sleepy during the day with a stimulating effect?
- Should you expect mood altering side effects that will likely go away at first? Or is that just how some people respond?
- Which drug and form do people prefer and which do they not like and why? Is there a general go to rule of thumb for GHB prescribing? Are there non GHB narcolepsy drugs that people prefer, over or in combination with GHB?
- Seen withdrawal mentioned a lot when stopping the medication. Is that to be expected? Does it happen at all dosage levels or more common at higher doses? How difficult can withdrawal be for prescribed doses?
- Experience when combined with other drugs for comorbidities? Such as Adderall, Modafinil, Armodafinil, Strattera, Guanfacine. Or drugs for disorders that may be relevant to other people like for bi-polar, anxiety, depression, autism spectrum, etc.?
- How much potential for long term side effects? For example, at prescribed doses Adderall gave me anhedonia, decreased energy levels, worse executive function, high cortisol, weight gain, hormone imbalances, reduced motivation, low libido, muted emotions. Which are not usually mentioned about Adderall.

I’m a mom of 2 young children (3&4) and a nurse… both my babies arrive just before and during covid , so not only was it a global pandemic I also went from 0 to 2 under 2 in 3 years…. My job as a nurse is always rushing and crazy crazy… we’ve now had a huge move to the other side of the world and my stress levels are at an all time high and my tolerance for any type of stress has collapsed, I’m usually very proactive and can utilise stress to get stuff done etc. but I’ve seemed to have crashed and I’m chronically stressed. The house was exactly what I was looking for - peaceful, with a beautiful garden and enough space for my favorite hobby, gardening. The first few weeks everything was wonderful. At first I didn't pay much attention to her unfriendly looks and comments. But over time, things started to deteriorate. Karen was clearly not happy with my presence and never missed an opportunity to show it. It started with complaints about the smallest things - noise from my lawnmower when I cut the lawn, my flowers that "disrupted the aesthetics" of the neighborhood, and other such ridiculous claims.

For a bit of back story, my older sister hasnt really been a part of the family. She has been in boarding schools from middle school till uni and only stays a while to visit. I guess this whole family concept is new to her. She used to be the best older sister. I would always brag to my friends about how preety and smart she is even though ive had some horrible experiences with her. She recently graduated uni and is back at home she is looking for a scolarship in Tokyo for her master's ( that I really hope she gets)
My little sister is really wise and calm for an 11 year old but she also has her complaints about her. My older sister tends to ignore people and then pretend to be nice, valuable or a 'saviour' by baking, cooking and cleaning around. She also pretends to be this really smart person and interrupts laughs or makes rude remarks when trying to prove your point in a debate. I have ADHD which is frustrating for my clean freak little sister that i share a room with as i tend to forget things she asked me to do or leave random things all over the room jumping from task to task. My sister and I always bicker but end up making up and I truly put in effort to keep the room clean. On one of these bickering moments my oldersister came into the room and imediatly took her side and ignored anything i had to say and would directly talk to her like im not in the room "Dont worry just ignore her, we all know she doesnt care about anyone" which makes completly no sense at all but whatever.
Im really smart and everyone knows that biology is a subject I'm good at so when my mum was talking about something and i was explaining it to her from a biological stand I was confused to see her mocking and laughing at me and looking at my little sister who was just as stunned as I was. We got into a debate about whether smoking causes cancer or not and i said that it doesnt but has a correlation to which she indirectly said that I'm 'young and stupid' and we aren't here to argue 'semantics' She then went on to use 'big words' in hopes to make me feel dumb but failed terribly. she asked me if i knew what a certain chemical compound was and when I said no she just went completely out of control with her rude attitude and when i confronted her, she just said that "being rude is the only thing that works with me" I, later on, asked my dad who has a high IQ and is super good at all sciences what that compound is and he had no Idea.
My mom recently bought everyone chocolate. I kept mine in my bag but decided to keep it in the fridge a couple days later. both my sisters had eatten their bars so i was surprised to see that my bar was also missing. Im not a fan of the brand and would have let her eat it if she had asked me. I asked my younger sister if she ate it and she said no, my parents dont like sugar which only leaves her in the home. I found out later that she told my mum I ate mine and some of hers, she is really good at manipulating my mother. I also saw her take my earbuds and use them, I asked her if those were mine to which she replied "I dont know what ur talking about" and then put them on and blasted music. I told her I would appreciate if she asked before using my stuff to which she replied "I dont know what ur talking about" and smirked
The next day I took a chocolate she had gotten for herself and hid it. When she asked me where it was i told her i dint know what she was talking about to which she responded to saying stuff under her breath. He had had a physical fight when i was around 13 and she did some damage there but knew not to mess with me now as im bigger and stronger than she is. she complained to our mum saying that money should be deducted from my pockets. I let her believe i ate her chocolate for an hour to let her know how i feel about her taking my things without my permission then i placed her chocolate on the kitchen counter and accidentally knocked yogurt she put in the freezer and promptly cleaned it up. she saw the spilled yogurt and was jeering at me and flinging all sorts of insults. I didn't care and camly cleaned up the mess. I guess she saw the chocolate because its missing from the counter and people in this house dont just take things that dont belong to them.
I'm starting to seriously not like my sister and I dont know what to do about it. she's not all bad but for a 22-year-old.. this is completely unacceptable. there was a time she decided to go vegan and would call the food in the fridge a "grave yard" when i tried to fry an egg she made a disgusted face and called it "chicken period" she also called any kind of meat "corpses" Im guessing she has grown a little from then but ill never forget that easter break she came over. If you ask her about this she will tell you that she would never say 'such a thing' and that 'the human brain creates false memories' and so thats what i must be going through.
I dont want to dislike her because she is family and i have alot of good memories with her but I also will not tolerate nonsense. AITAH for not liking my sister? or hiding her chocolate? I feel bad "playing God" and making her learn a lesson.

It also sets the tone very well and fleshes out the characters and makes them likeable in an instant. Character introductions and their origins and backstories, the comdey, the action, the gore and even the art. It's everything compiled in one chapter, and it's absolutely amazing! The fact that the first page of the chapter is a colored page of Marie saying she will kill all humans followed by an amazing colored doublespread page is the perfect way to grab the reader's interest. The double spread page sets the tone for the chapter, and it was absolutely amazing! Everything from the colors to the angle it's drawn to show. Showing buildings full of color, and looking a little bit too advanced. After the tone is set, the chapter immediately starts diving into the lore (After a mandatory Naked Gijin... I don't know why either) and explains all sorts of things. The time the story takes place in, what Gijin are and how they're treated, and showing a society that's a little bit too advanced for their own good. The story didn't take long to introduce the two main characters and make them likeable. And the art never fails to convey that as well. Marie, as soon as she's introdued, is drawn with a blank expression; Almost emotionless. However, even though she's still being controlled by the bug, she still shows emotions of happiness whenever something pleases her or sadness when something she doesn't like gets mentioned. When asked about what the remaining parts in her hand were, she answers with a sad expression on her face, but When Riaha tells her she should keep her friends' remaining parts, she shows a delighted expression. When Riaha asks her what she wants to do, she goes and tells him she wants to go take a walk. And there she shows, again, emotions of happiness and delight at small things like a funny looking bug, a cat or flowers. This is intentional, as it shows that Gijin are not just mindless robots even when they're controlled by the bug. Prior to this scene, we got a flashback on Riaha and his history with his father and why he sympathized with Gijin. The Gijin were getting controlled mentally and Physically (Advanced Lobotmy, as another person might say). The cruelty of humans is highlighted in this chapter, too. Even some teenagers don't care about the Gijin and basically torture them. And then we figure out of these teenagers is the son of the police man who killed Riaha's father. It's at this point that a fortunate accident happnes. (or unfortunate, depending on the perspective). Marie's head gets carved in by a chainsaw. But how exactly? Of course, at the current time, we know it was sheol's power. So this is already a hint to what was coming in the story. This is brilliant because it makes it feel like the story is well thought out and planned. Then, because of the chainsaw that hit Marie, she then regains her full consciousness. The bug is removed and the Military Gijin is now standing in front of normal humans that torture Gijin. What will she do? Yes, That's right. She'll kill them. The total shift in her personality from obedient and polite to completely unhinged is amazing. She just woke up from a bad dream, and she's not tolerant. She'll kill them all. However, This is where Riaha's character gets fleshed out. Humans killed his father and his Gijin friend, so he's conflicted on whether or not to let Marie kill them. However, when Marie reminds him that Humans kill Gijin all the time and that's why she should too, he realizes she's right and leaves the choice to her. This is consistent with what might possibly happen later on in the story. Riaha is now seeing the history of Gijin (as of chapter 23) and possibly might want to avenge them. Also, can we talk about the art? The art is absolutely amazing in the first chapter! Go look at any first chapter of any manga... Chances are, the art won't be as consistent or defined. But in shojk null, most pages are drawn consistently looking good. There's no extremely tiny panels drawn or filler panels that serve no purpose. The art shows consistency and is of high quality. The colors in the Double spread page is also a good choice, as it fits the tone of the series and is aesthetically pleasing. Well, it is Akima Who's doing the art, after all. The chapter sets the tone very well, and sets up the now ongoing themes in the story. It's very well written, in my opinion, and i feel like we should praise it more for what it did. |

The 100x was designed to be an all-rounder speed stick, and differs from the other Auraspeed rackets in having the SRS (shaft recovery system) technology in the new shaft rather than the usual WES whippy shafts. The 100x has been upgraded incrementally over time, first with the Power Ring tech, then with a stiffer Enhanced version, and now, the latest, Thomas and Uber Cup (TUC) special edition. Let's take a look at this Panda themed racket. Handling Wow, the TUC is extremely manoeuvrable and, at first glance, offers a smooth and quick handling experience. This 4u racket is marketed as EB but feels slightly HL to me. The hitting experience is crisps and stable but slightly muted in sound. The frame only needs a quick shaft snap to send the birdie far away - this is designed for short power-release techniques. The new generation FreeCore offers a good balance between vibration dampening and tactile signal transmission. However, the TUC is reasonably demanding of good hitting technique and its tolerance for error is not particularly high. If you don't know how to hit well, it won't help you out much. Overall, the TUC is quick, responsive and steady. Speed This racket is very fast, which is not surprising as it is a flagship Victor speedstick. I don't think 4u rackets can be much faster than this unless there is a generational leap in racket technology. Swing speed is top notch. The TUC is also a very quick and agile defender. Any shots you want to make, the TUC will do it quickly. Control The TUC is an excellent choice for technical play and precise shot placement, if you can master the intense repulsiveness of the frame. I played some of my best drop shots and slices with this racket, and it felt very satisfying to deceive and move my opponents. Defensive backhands were also a breeze, whether aiming for the net or the baseline. The birdie pings off with great speed at a flick of the wrist. Angles are easy once you get used to the rebound. Be wary of the birdie getting shot out too far. Power There is a bit of interesting bipolarity, in terms of the power output of the TUC. Clears, drives and backhands are effortless with the TUC. A quick 'snap' sends the birdie straight to the back. This effect was so noticeable that people were commenting on it during a social session, and an experienced player took a photo of the racket so that he could buy it too! The repulsive power is extreme! But only if you can bend the bouncy shaft - the TUC is not very easy to flex, by the way. Once the shaft is bent, it snaps right back with extreme speed, allowing you to chain attack after attack at the front. Very impressive. Stick smashing is intimidating, with extreme quickness up front, but managing the angle can be challenging here. However, this racket suffers when it comes to full smashes. The power transmission is incomplete, even if swing speed is high, and the birdie floats too much for my liking. The heaviness and extension of smashes are also average. Granted, these observations are perhaps not surprising for a very repulsive 4u speedstick. Overall Let's be honest, you're going to buy this racket if you want a panda-themed stick. 😂 Just keep in mind that it's not beginner friendly and is reasonably demanding of good technique. The TUC relies on the user taking advantage of its superb shaft snap-back, so this means you'll need to flex the shaft quickly and often, with good and strong wrist work. Once mastered, it is extremely quick and excels at all aspects of play apart from full smashing from backcourt (where it is merely average). For front court, control, counter-attack and speedster players, the TUC is a top choice. Well worth collecting or trying. |

Hi first I (23F) wanna clarify that I have no issue with marijuana, either using it for medicinal or just for fun. However specifically when my (24M) boyfriend uses it I get a bit uncomfortable.
We started dating about 3 years ago. In the beginning he told me he used to smoke back in high school for a little but stopped when he graduated. About a year into our relationship he started back up again because an old school friend of his uses it. I was fine with him smoking it, he seemed happy and hey life is stressful. He even allowed me to do a little too, I liked the sensation but wasn’t the biggest fan of the smoke feeling in my lungs.
Anyways over the next couple of months I started noticing a few things about him that started to change. One thing I noticed was that he would get really hyper focused on things like video games or spending time with his friends. I talked with him several times about how I wished he could balance his time with his friends and with me. I guess I kinda felt like I wasn’t on the same level of priority to him. He said he has always struggled with balancing people but when he smokes I feel it is amplified. He always apologized and say he would try his best but would always fall back to the same habits.
This leads to another thing I sort of noticed but he seemed to forget things easily. I can’t exactly pinpoint what he would forget as it was a few years ago. I just remembered that it would be stuff like when I would talk about my day or he wouldn’t take care of his basic needs. I'm looking for a device that would support a high volume of handwritten notes, mostly in English but occasionally in Russian, and converting these to text. It would need to have a paper-like screen texture and a larger screen is important. I would also want an e-reader with the ability to highlight and annotate pdfs, but that appears standard with all the better options.
At present, the best option seems to be the Onyx Boox Tab Ultra C. The Pro has nothing I need to justify the extra price and seems to have some issues with the screen being rather fragile, I don't know if this extends to other Boox products, I've only seen it mentioned for the Onyx Boox Tab Ultra C Pro. The extra storage and battery life would make the Tab Ultra C preferable to the Air. I like that Boox pens have relatively inexpensive replacement tips.
But ...
I have heard some worrying things about security for Boox devices. I don't intend to store or send personal details over it, but it would be connected to the internet from time to time and there would be the possibility of having to purchase something from the Appstore..
The Onyx Boox Tab Ultra C seems to be almost impossible to get, is unavailable at the Boox shop, has no sellers at present in Australia, and no eta on when it is likely to become available.
Is there a reasonable alternative, preferably available in Australia? Does the Boox Tablet Note Air 3 C stand up function-wise and tolerance to use? The smaller storage isn't a particular problem with microSD cards. I'm also confused about which version of Android it uses, 11 or 12? If 12, it would likely be preferable to the Tab Ultra C.
I've seen some good things about Supernote A5x, but the next version seems unlikely to be out for some months and Supernote doesn't seem to be available retail in Australia, which isn't a deal-breaker but is inconvenient. Their ceramic-tipped pens do look nice.
It would be very useful for me if anyone could give me their impressions of how e-ink devices in general stand up to a fairly high volume of handwritten use - in the range of 1-3k words a day at times. A device able to facilitate this would be of enormous benefit to me, but if they have yet to move beyond a novelty, I can't justify the purchase.

I started birth control after my 15th birthday because I was having really heavy periods and they'd only come once every 2-4 months. My doctors just threw me on it. I've been taking it for almost 10 years now. Since then, I've been dealing with depression, bad insomnia (it takes 3 hours to fall asleep), high heart rate, light acne, slight balding on my temples, memory issues, and light brain fog. Then last year after a chance ultrasound, they discovered cysts and officially gave me the PCOS diagnosis.
I'm really wanting to get off of birth control, but I'm terrified of losing my hair and my acne getting insanely bad! I can deal with the heavy bleeding and pain, but afraid of the hair loss and acne. I'm ready to make dietary changes and take supplements but my problem is that I'm autistic and my severe texture issues make it really difficult to tolerate certain foods. I don't like the taste and texture of avocados, fish, mushrooms, nuts, and bananas.
My mother doesn't want me stopping it because I'm sexually active and come from a very fertile family. :') I'm sure the PCOS already reduces my fertility? Regardless, condoms, etc.
Has anyone successfully stopped birth control without going bald and severely breaking out?

It sounds like after taking the drugs, he started experiencing auditory hallucinations and paranoia. This led to four days of not sleeping and increasing severity of his symptoms (fled the city to get away from people, threw phone in a river, destroyed his computer, etc). The brought himself into the ER twice because he was aware that what was happening wasn't right (after a few days). He is now on olanzapine and hydroxizine (for anxiety). He was experiencing symptoms for 5 days. On the 5th day (after starting olanzapine) he started to get better and hasn't heard voices since then. We are on day 8 and he wants to get back to smoking weed. We are extremely concerned about this and I am hoping for any information about smoking weed after someone experiences drug-induced psychosis from a different drug. Personal stories or actual studies/facts are welcome! Especially for those with similar experiences!

Apologies in advance if there are grammatical or spelling errors in this post, as I completely underestimated how Four Loko's alcohol content would affect me, it's a 24Oz can so for my tolerance it is a ton of alcohol. Can barely hold my head up, but here are my opinions on both of these drinks in case you are considering them.
The Canta Ritos is super good, which aligns with my enjoyment of their Pineapple flavor as well. Very good flavor balance and it is barely bitter at all. Refreshing, sharp, but not hard to drink. You cannot go wrong with this at all! 9/10.
Four Loko (the original?) on the other hand is almost the opposite. Two nights ago I was at the bar and tried Captain Morgan spiced rum on the rocks. I loved it! While rum isn't the same as bourbon whiskey, I dare say I enjoyed this more than Maker's Mark. I am hit with a sweet vanilla flavor, and slightly familiar flavors that I'm used to with whiskeys in general. It's hard to recall the specifics because it's been two days and I am very intoxicated while writing this, but I really liked it and I will never hesitate to have this again! Not giving it a specific rating, just know I love it.
I'm going to have to stop drinking until the start of next month since I have been impulsive recently. But if you have suggestions or thoughts to share, please do! I'm enjoying the discovery of new beverages. I don't care if you have strong dislike for what I enjoy, because I will be considering suggestions nonetheless. That's the beauty of the alcohol side of the world, there's a massive variety and there will always be a drink for everyone. No shame, only care about what you enjoy!

The Canta Ritos is super good, which aligns with my enjoyment of their Pineapple flavor as well. Very good flavor balance and it is barely bitter at all. Refreshing, sharp, but not hard to drink. You cannot go wrong with this at all! 9/10.

Our communication went through a period where it was disrespectful, voices raised and he swore at me. I never swore, but I was very blaming and did not respect his calls for 'cooling off'. For me swearing's an instant dealbreaker. With work, his reflection, it's gotten way way better, our convos ars much more constructive and calm, he's way more empathetic, but I'm wondering if this is even tolerable in the first place? The topic of conversation was super intense & highly traumatic for both of us (just a traumatic figure made our lives very very hard, think to the level of jeopardising our safety), eliciting an anger with words l'd never seen in him. So yes just any advice. Do I leave? Do I work through this?
