What is a humblebrag? Making a seemingly modest, self-critical, or casual statement or reference that is meant to draw attention to one’s admirable or impressive qualities. Many are uncomfortable sharing their successes, and use humble bragging as a way to still show off their accomplishments without feeling the same shame as they would for explicitly stating what occurred. Do you have something you're proud of, but don't want to look like a show-off? Layer it in with a not-so-good statement.

2024.05.29 06:35 M3lan13_l0v3r AITAH for being upset? (Possible tw.)

So I’m friends with a girl who we’re going to call Zoe. (Fake name) and she’s the reason I lost my childhood best friend.
My chbf (childhood best friend) had always struggled w her mental health but she’s never really done anything too drastic to herself. We all have a group chat with a few other friends and my chbf was upset so she asked if she could vent in the gc. Everyone said yes and Zoe was offline so my friend went along and we all tried our hardest to help her. And then out of nowhere Zoe pops up an says ‘okay name I don’t really think anybody here cares about your problems, like you say this all the time but never do anything, you’re clearly not THAT mentally ill.’
My chbf went offline and sent me a message saying that Zoe was right and if she never did anything that she was just attention seeking. Then disappeared.
I got a call from her mum that my chbf had..uh left. (Iykyk) and now everyone is falling out. I’m obviously upset with Zoe and her actions and I spoke to her but she’s spun the story so now everyone is saying that I made lies up and now I don’t know what to do.

🔗45lb Body-Solid Olympic Weight Plate with Quad-Grip Design

https://preview.redd.it/fkadc1g2na3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ea19eed07f78482c9fc3a4417c1dff44a750656a
As a fitness enthusiast myself, I recently got the chance to upgrade my weightlifting setup with the Body Solid 45 lb. Rubber Grip Olympic Plates. The first thing that caught my eye was the quad-grip design. Unlike traditional plates, this one has four grips making it super safe and convenient to use.
One of the main highlights of these plates is their durability. The heavy-duty rubber casing not only gives them a professional look but also ensures they won't damage any surface including walls, floors, or even the barbell itself. Plus, it has a metal sleeve that securely fits onto any Olympic bar, providing a smooth and sturdy experience while lifting.
However, there's one downside - the weight. Coming in at 45 pounds, these plates can be quite heavy for beginners or those with lower strength levels. But for those serious about weightlifting, this is a small price to pay for such high quality and reliable equipment.
Overall, the Body Solid Rubber Grip Olympic Plates offer a safe, easy-to-use, and durable solution for anyone looking to enhance their weightlifting experience.

I've been using the Titan Fitness 45 LB Economy Bumper Plate for a few weeks now, and I must say, it's been quite a game-changer in my home gym. The low bounce rate and raised plate lip make picking up and changing weights a breeze, even during high-intensity sessions.
One of the standout features of this plate is its sturdiness. Despite its low cost, the plate feels robust and durable – perfect for those heavy lifting days. The grip quality is also notable; I've had no issues with the plate slipping from my hands while loading or unloading it on the barbell.
However, there are a few downsides worth mentioning. Firstly, the smell of rubber can be quite strong at first, but it tends to dissipate after some time. Secondly, some reviewers have reported minor blemishes on the product, though this hasn't affected its performance in my experience.
All in all, the Titan Fitness 45 LB Economy Bumper Plate offers a high-quality, budget-friendly option for those looking to start or enhance their home gym setup. Its easy handling and sturdy design make it a reliable choice for both beginners and seasoned lifters alike.

I recently picked up a set of Everyday Essentials' color-coded Olympic bumper plates for my home gym, and I'm pleasantly surprised with what I got. They're a perfect blend of affordability and quality.
Firstly, the solid stainless steel inserts and high-density rubber have helped in protecting my floor and lifting platform from potential damage caused by dropping heavy weights. The color-coding makes it incredibly easy to identify weights at a glance, which saves a lot of time during intense workout sessions.
However, there were a few drawbacks worth mentioning. Some users reported an unpleasant rubber odor upon opening the boxes, but I experienced this faintly and it faded away after a week or so. Additionally, a couple of my boxes arrived in tatters, but fortunately, the plates inside were all intact and undamaged.
All in all, the Everyday Essentials' Olympic bumper plates offer great value for anyone looking to set up a cost-effective gym. They're reliable, easy to use, and perfect for strength training, weightlifting, and CrossFit workouts. I'm definitely considering buying another set soon!

🔗45lb Olympic Weight Plate - Interlocking Design for Efficient Weight Management

I recently got my hands on an Interlocking Olympic Weight Plate, specifically the 45 lb version, and it's been a game-changer in my workout routine at home. The unique interlocking design gives me the flexibility to stack a variety of weights on the barbell, making my workout sessions much more versatile and effective. The strategically placed handles are an absolute lifesaver - they make loading and unloading the plates super easy, saving me from straining my fingers.
This plate is perfect for everything from school weight rooms to commercial settings, owing to its robust construction and innovative design. It's a must-have for anyone serious about their fitness. However, the only downside I encountered was the weight plate's size and thickness, which take up quite a bit of space on the collar. Nevertheless, this minor inconvenience doesn't detract from the fact that these weight plates are a worthwhile investment for any fitness enthusiast.

🔗CAP Barbell 45-Pound Cast Iron Olympic Weight Plate

https://preview.redd.it/l0wjfb35na3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1bc97cbdf68710998c7b9f93c42e4f7c04a3d819
I recently got my hands on the CAP Barbell 45 Lb Olympic Weight Plates, and I must say, they've been quite a game-changer in my workout routine. These plates come in a variety of weights, allowing me to customize my workout sessions perfectly. The machined center hole and the baked enamel finish make them incredibly easy to handle and incredibly sturdy.
However, not everything has been perfect. Upon receiving my plates, I noticed inconsistencies in the weight, which can be a major concern for anyone serious about weight lifting. There were also instances of uneven paint application and rough edges on some of the plates.
The highlight of these weight plates is certainly their durability. Despite the rough handling by the courier, the cast iron plates arrived at my doorstep with only minimal damage. This durability ensures they can withstand the rigors of a hard-core workout session in the long run.
The design of the CAP Barbell 45 Lb Olympic Weight Plates could use some improvement. The oversized hole makes it difficult to fit onto some barbells, and the unbalanced weight distribution causes the plate to tilt while in use, adding an unnecessary level of complexity to an already intense workout.
Despite these shortcomings, the CAP Barbell 45 Lb Olympic Weight Plates provide a cost-effective and durable option for those looking to enhance their workout sessions. However, it's crucial to keep an eye out for any inconsistencies in the weight and improve the design for better usability.

As an avid fitness enthusiast, I've used these 45lb Steel Olympic Plates in my home gym for the past several months, and I can't rave enough about them. Not only do they give my barbell the perfect weight for my powerlifting workouts, but also complement my bodybuilding routines seamlessly. The 2-inch hole size makes them versatile and easy to handle.
The highlight feature has been the commercial-grade quality. Built to withstand rigorous use, these plates show no signs of wear, even after daily intense workouts. Another amazing feature is the premium high-use coating that offers excellent grip and helps prevent any scratches or damages to the surrounding gym equipment.
On the downside, these plates are quite heavy, which makes them slightly challenging to move around my gym area, especially when preparing for different exercise sets. Additionally, their size can sometimes be an issue in terms of storage.
However, the benefits greatly outweigh the drawbacks, making these 45lb Steel Olympic Plates a must-have for anyone serious about their fitness journey.

🔗High-Density Rubber Olympic Bumper Plates, Size: Set 260 lbs

https://preview.redd.it/ph15xrx5na3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c01f476fb8887642fcf710a52acf5b29bba44115
My Experience: As an avid gym-goer, I decided to switch up my training routine a bit and incorporate bumper plates into my lifting regimen. After trying out the Balancefrom Olympic Bumper Plate Weight Plate Set, I can confidently say that these plates have not only enhanced my strength training but have also made my workouts safer for my floor and equipment.
The Highlights: The high-density rubber plates with solid stainless steel inserts have truly withstood the test of time, as they've maintained their shape even after frequent dropping. The color-coding system makes it super easy to identify the different weights quickly. Plus, the labels in pounds and kilograms are a game-changer for those who prefer either system.
A Few Cons: While the 10-pound plates are thinner to accommodate size consistency across all plates, this makes them more prone to bending if you use them alone. Just be sure to follow the manufacturer's guidelines to prevent any damage.
All in all, the Balancefrom Olympic Bumper Plate Weight Plate Set has been an excellent addition to my home gym. Not only does it help keep my floors safe from harm, but it also makes my workouts feel more intense and varied.

2024.05.29 06:34 StatisticianSuper129 A lot of the time, I wish I could’ve been born someone else tbh

I guess I’m just here venting my feelings because life has been pretty hard lately and I don’t really have anywhere else to go with these thoughts at the moment. Feel free to stay if you can relate to my struggles, or don’t, the choice is yours. 99.9% of the time, it feels like I’m always wishing I could’ve been born into someone else, because I can’t stand how difficult my life has been made to be, and it just feels like too much of a burden to take on. I’m not sure if many other people here can relate to this feeling, but it feels as if I was born to just have a really insufferable and miserable life.
I was born gay, black (technically mixed but by a quarter), and not very good looking if I’m being honest. I grew up in the western US, and ever since I was about twelve, I was bullied for everything someone could be bullied for. The way that I looked, the way i spoke, being black, not being black enough, being occasionally (presumed) gay, etc. I just quite simply never fit anywhere and I was constantly reminded that I’m never good enough. I hated what I saw in the mirror so much to the point where I’d avoid every mirror possible and I would begin to feel resentment towards my family for birthing me into being at the absolute bottom of the social ladder. I know it’s not their fault that the world is the way it is and I do truly love them, but I just couldn’t stand the fact that my life was made incredibly difficult because I was born to them and not a more privileged family that could’ve provided me an easier life. Instead, I was given the burden of being born different in a society that just doesn’t like me for multiple reasons, and it’s now my job to completely change myself so that I can have a chance at a better life.
I spent a lot of time alone as a kid since I always felt insecure about myself, and I would work tirelessly to be more attractive, charming, and endearing so that others would treat me with kindness and respect. Instead of going outside and playing with others in the summer, I spent my summers doing what people now call “looksmaxxing”. I would stay out of the sun because I’d get picked on if I was “too dark”, spend everyday working out, grow my curly hair out to take attention away from my nose which I hated, practicing to hide my “gay voice”, and finding the coolest clothes to wear so people would be impressed with me by the next school year. I would never hang out with my school friends and never go out and just be a kid having fun like others did. I hated myself too much to do anything else because it felt like everyone else hated me or looked down on me for just existing. I just wanted to be someone that could have more in life, but it felt like I’d have to run myself into the ground trying to change enough to actually have a shot.
The sad thing is that this actually would work. With each year that went by in school I became closer to my goals. I hung out with the popular crowd beginning in freshman year of hs and started to feel better about myself because I started to gain recognition. All of this however took a turn when, long story short, I fell in love with my best friend since middle school and he turned on me in sophomore year due to him being closeted. He shut me out, and my other friends didn’t talk to me anymore because he was basically the leader of the popular kids. I switched schools in junior year and fell into a really deep depression that honestly I never fully healed from. I’m 22 now, and I’m honestly pretty messed up because I’ve had such a horrible childhood. I guess you could say I glew up dramatically in the years after hs, but only because I was bullied into basically becoming a different person, and I still feel the need to constantly change things about myself and obsess over my appearance. I don’t know how to get over the things I’ve been through and my life is still shitty today because of trauma and unfavorable circumstances I find myself in.
I see other people who are my same age or younger, and I get extremely angry because they have lives that seem so much better than my own; Friendships, relationships, happiness that they didn’t have to slave away for. I envy the ease that life has provided them and the freedom they must feel, while I always feel caged and confined to a life of hardship because I’m me… and they’re them. I want my life to be different, but it feels like the life they have was never meant for someone like me, and I have to spend years of my life trying to be where they were born. It’s so frustrating, and it all just feels like too much to bare. I don’t really know what the point of me writing all of this was, maybe just me reaching out into the void, but If you’re still reading this thanks for sticking around till the end lol. If anyone has any words of encouragement, I could definitely use it right about now because I’m really struggling 😂

2024.05.29 06:32 ChiknaMoulvi It hurts.

After a wonderful year with an amazing girl (24F) who I(26M) fell in love with and was building a future with, I got suddenly dumped. Just a few days before the anniversary of the day we met.
About two months ago, after I returned from a trip, she came to meet me with the intention to break up because she felt the relationship had lost the ‘spark’. We had a healthy conversation and communicated the flaws and what was missing and decided that we would work on them together and revive it. Over the next month, we did exactly that, both proclaimed that we loved each other. We had our serious discussions and planned out the next couple months with weekend trips, and her introducing me to her mom who was supposed to visit this past weekend.
May 1st, her birthday, I surprised her, had a wonderful day on the weekend with her friends and everything seemed to be going great. She came by to spend the night next day and she would reiterate her feelings for me, through words and actions and everything seemed to be going great. May 8th, before going to sleep, I told her how much I missed her, and what exactly I missed about her to reiterate my feelings to show how serious I was as well. May 9th, morning, she replied normally and said she missed me as well and wished she could cuddle with me all day every day. I jokingly said I want to hear more, in detail as to how much she misses me. That message was followed by an entire day of silence. We were supposed to meet later that day however, she made up a reason to not meet and then called me later in the night and broke the news.
She felt she did not want to be in a relationship with me anymore. She had come to realize, that she would never love me the way I love her. We met a day later to say our goodbyes as I was in a state of shock. I was blindsided. I thought I only reciprocated the feelings. She mentioned that ‘I miss you’ message from me made her realize that she could never love me the same way. She said she will always hold love for me and care for me, and cherish the memories we made over the past year. I couldn’t muster up the courage to fight for us, how could I knowing that it was probably the last time I would be seeing her? I asked her what changed, what happened, what did I do and all she responded was ‘I don’t have an answer for you. I wish there was a reason, because you do and say everything that I want you to do and hear.’ Yet she left me. I didn’t beg, all I could say was, if that’s what you feel, how can I change your feelings?
I sent a letter proclaiming my feelings to her and why I said what I said and how ‘she’ had planned all those trips and plans over the next couple weekends and the summer. The day it got delivered, I sent her a message that I wasn’t expecting a response, even though I so much wanted to, and that I will be blocking/removing her from my instagram as that’s the only social media app I use.
She didn’t reply, it broke me apart, but maybe that was for the best? So, it’s been 17 days of no contact, and I miss her every day, all day. I truly loved her and this has broken me into a million pieces. She was the first girl I was going to confess my love for, to my conservative and religious mother. It felt like someone snatched the earth from beneath me. I wake up in the middle of the night multiple times trembling or sweating dreaming about her. I have lost 8 pounds due to a loss in appetite. I have been meditating, journaling, working out, playing soccer, staying busy as all of you have said but it still feels like a gaping hole in my heart. I get anxious and shortness of breath. I cry till I can’t cry anymore. Each day is a battle with myself so I don’t reach out to her.
How do you go from best friends one day and to being a stranger the next? She made me a better man than I was yesterday and now it feels like everything I had hoped for is shattered. I know time heals all wounds, but how do I go forward knowing she will not be a part of my life the way I had and atleast till the last day, she had envisioned as well? It hurts.
I miss her so much and I know I will always love her. But I’m doing my best to stay no contact so I can hopefully heal. Why is the world so cruel?

2024.05.29 06:30 BeanMachine1313 Anyone want to share stories of sick kittens getting better to help me after my terrible day today?

Today I had to do the most awful thing and take my old girl cat to be put to sleep. I was never a cat person before she showed up but she converted me, she was always sweet and friendly, even though she was already old and on her way out. I probably kept her around for longer than I should've just because of how great of a friend she was. But she quit eating and drinking and didn't want to move, so I knew it was time. She was friendly to the vet, to everyone all the way to the end, no matter what is going on or how sick she is, she will always lean her little head on your hand, it was the cutest thing, she loved people. Cat haters like to say that cats hate people but she clearly adored humans, at least as much as any dog. I wish I had met her years ago. Whoever left her out there old and alone before she found me had to have been so heartless.
A few weeks ago, another cat showed up on my property, a little fluffy one with boogers all over his face. I took him in and they gave me antibiotics for him, but they didn't work. I called and they said it was just "cat flu" and to wait, but he can barely breathe. He makes grunting noises constantly, it's cute but also breaks my heart. I took him back and they tried to blow me off about it, until a big bump showed up on his nose and blood started coming out. Finally they agreed to do a culture to see what was going on. Today they called and said one of the results had come back as a certain bacteria and they gave me different antibiotics to try to treat it. They are still waiting on the other results if there's anything else going on as far as fungal infections or something like that.
I'm so scared I'm going to lose him, too! He is so adorable and funny. I already say he's my son, I have two human daughters and they have no problem with it haha, they don't like that I have named their adopted brother Booger though. My canine daughter is cool with him too. So I'm hoping to hear some stories of your kittens who were sick like this and got better. If that's allowed. Thanks!

2024.05.29 06:29 tomatokeftedes What are your thoughts on "Hynson"

Hi everyone, my best friend is having a baby boy and that baby will be named after his father (who's a Jr) so it will look like this: Philip Hynson Duport III (for privacy reason, "Duport" isn't real but it's very close to their real surname). Hynson is the middle name and it had never been used before. Her husband is known as Philip and his father was simply known as Phil. I googled Hynson and to my surprise, there's no one with that name. I'm having a hard time forming an opinion on this name because it's rare so I desperately need your help. Thanks in advance! :)

AKA: Cuauhtemotzín, Guatémuz, Last Aztec Emperor, Ruler of Tlatelolco, cuauhtlatoani, Hero of Unyielding Jade, Guatémuz the Valor, Cuauhtémoc the water sun
PROFILE
Default: Cuauhtémoc, who fought the Spanish to the best of her ability, is considered a hero who defended her homeland from these conquerors, a symbol of valor. As she continued to protect her homeland, time came slowly like a fading sun; she wanted to save her people and homeland, but the Spanish executed her at the end of her life.
In historical records, Cuauhtémoc is a male, but she disguises herself as a male.
Bond 1:
Height/Weight: 154cm, 42kg Origin: Historical Fact Region: Aztec civilization, Mexico Alignment: Lawful-Good Gender: Female After pretending to be a man, she doesn't know how to react to affection.
Bond 2: An Aztec Emperor who wants to bring peace and see her people's smiling faces when she becomes the emperor after the latest Aztec emperor in Tenochtitlan. It is known more as Mexico-Tenochtitlan during her time. She is a lovely and calm person who sincerely wants to change Mexico-Tenochtitlan for her people before Hernán Cortés, the conquistador who would later destroy the Aztec empire. She has an elegant, beautiful lady aura, and even when she talks to others, she is cheerful and exciting even though she has knowledge of the modern from the throne of heroes.
Bond 3: After the death of the latest Emperor, Cuauhtémoc decided to protect her people and land. She opposed Montezuma's plan to allow them into Tenochtitlan and fought fiercely against them when she replaced Montezuma. Her unfailing distrust and hatred of the Spanish helped her rise to the position of Tlatoani upon the death of Cuitlahuac. There were no records of her fighting the war, but her extraordinary leadership and selfless defense of her homeland were. In her childhood, she witnessed the bloody battles of Aztec warfare since the Aztecs waged war to reap tribute and take captives for religious sacrifices. They were also given to Aztec society so victorious Aztec warriors could receive high honors. She wants to bring peace without violence and create a homeland of smiles.
Since Cuauhtemoc was not recorded in history until her reign as emperor, her date of birth is unknown. As the oldest legitimate daughter of Emperor Ahuitzotl, she probably attended the last New Fire ceremony to mark the start of a new 52-year cycle. In 1515, she was named ruler of Tlatelolco, with the title cuauhtlatoani, meaning "eagle ruler," after concealing herself as a male to enter the boy school and military service. She works hard to reach her position of rulership since Cuauhtemoc pretends to be a male of high birth and a warrior who has captured enemies for sacrifice because she prefers death to be their hands. She even earns a name known as Guatemuz from the Spanish conquistadors.
Bond 4:
Mana Burst (Water): EX She was blessed by the goddess of water and given the divine water that rivaled the fifth Sun of his power—the discharge of magical energy in liquid form. Having her Noble Phantasm concealed, her magic energy nature is established as water by the divine aura that emanates from it. Divine water increases its rank.
The embodiment of Mexico-Tenochtitlan: EX She is an emperor who wants to protect her homeland and wants to change Mexico-Tenochtitlan to bring peace. Her leadership path and unyielding will refuse to surrender and wish to save Mexico-Tenochtitlan.
Blessing of the Fifth Sun: B Even though tortured and captured, she refused to surrender, and some sources said, "Our Sun has gone from our vision and will remain in Mictian, the place where the spirits repose." She believes that Huitzilopochtli will guide Mexico-Tenochtitlan and the people who will survive, and one day, someone will bring her homeland peace to the people's future.
Bond 5:
『Inner World Chālchihuitl Blade』 Rank: A++ NP Type: Anti-Fortress Sword of Jade A weapon not forged by man nor divine was forged within the Inner Sea of the Planet. A Noble Phantasm that can rival Holy Sword Excalibur. A sword that is forged by the world from the world's stores of many unknown weaponry that have yet to be discovered from the current time.
『The Fifth Sun Storm 』 Rank: A+ Type: Anti-Unit / Anti-Army Noble Phantasm Range: 0-10 Maximum Targets: 1-20 people This Noble Phantasm unleashes five slashes at once. This ability's fearsome power combines the five Suns of the Aztec gods into one Sun to become a rainstorm of blood that can rival Huitzilopochtli, who was honored above all in Tenochtitlan as the patron god of the Aztecs. While it is an Anti-Unit technique, it is so powerful that the surrounding area gets caught in the blast. (Naturally, its strength lessens when used as an Anti-Army technique.)
“Soy la uno como el sol, blessed by the given divine of the inner sea jade…May this sun become water, may the water become the blood of my people's death, SANGRE DEL QUINTO SOL CHALCHIUHTLICUE!
Identity: Known to the Spanish conquistadors as Guatemuz, he was the last Mexica tlahtoani of Mexico-Tenochtitlan. He assumed power in 1520, one year before Hernán Cortés and his troops captured Tenochtitlan. Cuauhtémoc, son of Ahuízotl and cousin of Moctezuma Xocoyotzin and Tecuichpo, when she reached nubility. He took power in Tenochtitlan after the conquistadors had already left, but famine, smallpox, and a lack of potable water had devastated the city. Cuauhtémoc arrived at this moment after having been tlakatekohtli (chief of arms) of the resistance to the conquistadors since the death of Moctezuma before the call by the Spanish "Sad Night," he has been identified as a military leader of the Mexicas.
Driven by his foresight and belief in the Mexicas' resilience, Cuauhtémoc orchestrated the reorganization of the Mexica army, the reconstruction of the city, and its fortification in preparation for the inevitable conflict with the Spaniards. He tactfully dispatched ambassadors to neighboring towns, seeking alliances and reducing their contributions, displaying his astute leadership.
After eighty days of warfare against the Spanish, Cuauhtémoc called for reinforcements from the countryside to help defend Tenochtitlán. The surviving Tenochcas sought refuge in Tlatelolco, where even women participated in the battle. Only Tlatelolcas remained loyal, and even women took part in the battle. As he and his family fled Tenochtitlán by crossing Lake Texcoco, Cuauhtémoc was captured on August 13, 1521.
Tragically, when confronted by the conqueror, Cuauhtémoc, pointing to the dagger on his belt, requested to be slain with it. Unable to defend his city and vassals, he chose to meet his end at the hands of the invader. This act, viewed as a sacrifice to the gods, was a poignant testament to the depth of his loyalty and the anguish of his defeat. According to duplicate Spanish accounts, Cortés declined the offer and treated his adversary with magnanimity. The brave warrior defended the capital, he claimed. Even an enemy in a Spaniard's eyes is worthy of respect. The end of his life can't help but feel a deep sympathy and sorrow for Cuauhtémoc's tragic fate.
Cuauhtémoc's death was not of interest to Cortés at that time. As a subsidiary of Emperor Carlos V and Cortés, he preferred to use his dignity before the Mexicas as Tlatoani. As part of the city's cleaning and restoration work, which occurred in the months following the conquest, Cuauh émoc took advantage of his initiative and power to secure the Mexica's cooperation. However, due to what the Spanish perceived as 'greedy Spanish stewardship and distrust of the Spaniards,' the last Mexica tlatoani was tortured and killed by Cortés.
Relationship:
Artotria Pendragon: “Altria…Wait, King of Knights. It is an honor to meet an ideal king. Ufufu, this is exciting. I hope she and I can have lunch together and get along as friends.
EMIYA (Archer), MORARSEU (Caster)(OC): "The red archer and the black caster both end up with the same fate but for different reasons. I could be their big sister and help them out! Also, I CAN HELP COOKING DINNER!"
Huitzilopochtli (Saber) (OC): "HUITZILOPOCHTI! I am your biggest fan, and I pray you can guide my people after the Spanish conquistadores. Sorry, this is out of character. It is just a big honor to meet our Sun of Mexico-Tenochtitlan. I am a bit surprised that you are different from what I hear.?? So you were summoned with a human male vessel. Still, it is a great honor to meet you. I mess up again!"
Tezcatlipoca: "...The Black Sun, I don't like him. He is very selfish, and I hope he doesn't start a war because just because if he got into a fight with his other siblings. It will be another destructive battle."
Kukulkan: "The evil serpent, be careful, Master! Wait, what? She is not evil but a good serpent? Is she the sixth Sun, then? Sun of a lostbelt? Then, sorry for my attitude. If she is a lostbelt version, she differs from the Pan-human history. Maybe that's why my Noble Phantasm is acting up because of the merge with another God…. It's nothing, Master."
Quetzalcoatl: "ehh, Quetalcoatl? The Feathered Serpent. I thought you were a male god, but it seems you were summoned with the female vessel."
Tenochtitlan: "An embodiment of the city of Tenochtitlan before known as Mexico-Tenochtitlan. Our people indeed love our homelands. Am glad I meet you, Meztliapan. Then, let's be friends; I hope we can get along very well, and I can also help you introduce other servants!"
Gilgamesh (Archer): "Gilgamesh? Is he known as the King of Heroes? Why is he looking at my Macuahuitl? He seems very mad and confused."
Yamato Takeru: "Takeru-san is a good person. We have some common interests, like blessing by divine water and sharing our favorite foods. I LOVE RICE BALL AND RAMAN! Takeru-san shares lovely, delicious food with me."
Castoria: "It's cute, Altria-kun. She is a fun and energetic person. She is teaching me what magecraft is. She is fun to spend time with, and when it comes to food, I share my favorite food."
Uesugi Kenshin: "Kenshin is playful when we sparring. We play along well, but she seems to have lost something of herself. Even though I have the god-like power of my blade that rivals Huitzilopochtli's power, I want to help her in any way I can, not just to sympathize with her. But as a friend."
Something you Like: "My homeland, family and the people of Mexico-Tenochtitlan. I love food! My favorite is tamales of salsa verde con queso and Enchiladas Rojas with lettuce and cheese. It's yummy when I think about it. Sorry for my attitude, Master."
Something you Hate: "What do I hate? I hate the Spanish, especially Hernán Cortés. My people and the latest Emperor were just too nice. The Spaniards' greed ruined my people and homeland."
About the Holy Grail: "The Holy Grail that can grant wishes, it is good but is not something I don't want. I accept my past and my actions. I want to see someone who one day brings peace to the people of my homeland."

2024.05.29 06:25 Own_Tailor9802 Korea is really special to me

My name is Jessica, and I live in a small central American city of about 80,000 people.Today I'm going to share a story about Korea.First, I'd like to tell you a little bit about my family. When I was born, I already had an older brother.I don't mean just a little sister with an older brother. My brother was adopted from Korea. It's an unusual situation, isn't it? My parents struggled with infertility for several years before I was born, and they ended up adopting my Korean brother. Then, a few years later, they got pregnant with me, and I was born.My brother had different hair color, skin color, and eye color than me, but we got along very well.Even though we knew from a young age that we were adopted because of our differences, we got along well, and we were a family that loved each other deeply.
We played the same games, read books together, and spent a lot of time together. He always took good care of me, and he was a good brother who made me laugh.
I would say, “Brother, let's read this book together!” and he would always smile and read it to me. I think I liked and enjoyed his warmth to me, rather than focusing on the content of the book.
When we left our cozy home environment, it was time to go to school, and during this time, my brother and I were asked a lot of embarrassing questions. One day, while my brother and I were playing together, a friend asked me, “Jessica, why does your brother look different from you?”The question gave me pause, but he smiled and replied, “Because we are a family, looks don't matter. His positive attitude had a good effect on me, and I'm sure he had a good effect on himself, too.Watching him grow up right, and our family became interested in Korea. If he was a troublemaker and always in trouble, he wouldn't have had the time to take the time to learn about his country of origin, Korea, but when he studied well, didn't fight with his friends, and was a good person who always loved and cared for his brother, we couldn't help but wonder about his roots.
I think my parents also had the will to share Korean culture with my brother and me, to learn what they could, to broaden our horizons and deepen our family's understanding. Many years ago, when I was in middle school, my family visited Korea for the first time, and the experience left a great impression on me.
We visited many tourist spots in Seoul and saw the harmonious combination of Korean tradition and modernity. And Korea, with its many dark-haired, dark-eyed people like my brother, was somehow not foreign to me.For Americans traveling to Asia for the first time, this could have been difficult because people look different and give off different vibes, but not for me. My parents, of course, were very excited to revisit Korea, the country of my brother's birth, and spoke so many blessings about the land of my brother's birth.Of course, there were many good things to see and many fun things to do in Korea, but the most memorable moment was when I suddenly developed a high fever.
It was a quiet night in Korea at the time, and I suddenly developed a high fever. This change was so sudden that my parents panicked.Eventually, with the help of the hotel we were staying at, they were able to get me to the emergency room in Korea, where I was quickly treated.Upon arrival, the medical staff quickly assessed my condition and ran the necessary tests. The whole process was organized, and thanks to the professionalism and quick response of the medical staff, I was able to get comfortable quickly. My situation was so serious that my head hurt like a rock and I could barely understand what was being said around me, but thanks to their quick response, my fever started to come down and I was able to return to my senses. The tests showed that I had a severe flu, which had been contracted in the United States and had incubated in Korea.I had to stop traveling in Korea and be admitted to the hospital for treatment, but thanks to the fast and efficient healthcare system in Korea, this was not a problem.
My parents breathed a sigh of relief and expressed their deep gratitude to the Korean healthcare system.“If it wasn't for Korea, I would have been in trouble,” my father said.Although my family had to stop our trip to Korea and spend the rest of my stay in a Korean hospital, looking back, it was also a unique experience abroad.
Many years later, as an adult, my relationship with my brother was still good. We enjoyed Korean dramas, movies, and music together, cooked Korean food together, and learned Korean together.
However, there was a clear difference between me and him: he seemed to be better at learning, even if he spent the same amount of time studying, and he went to a prestigious university, while I failed to get into college and became depressed.
He helped me with my studies every vacation, taught me how to study, and helped me to get into a prestigious university, but the results were not good. I was rejected by all the universities I applied to, and I was going through a very difficult time. After he graduated from college, he moved back home from the East Coast of the United States and helped me study for the college entrance exam, and with his help, I was able to get into college, albeit late.
Although I didn't get into a prestigious university like my brother, I still had a satisfying college experience and broadened my horizons.Naturally, I discovered that Korea has been on the global radar lately, which was very exciting.Korea may be the latest trend for Americans these days, but for me and my brother, it's like going back to our roots.I've always loved Korea, and it was very interesting and fond to reminisce about my trip to Korea when I was in middle school and look through my photo albums, even though half the time I was sick. So, my brother and I decided to visit Korea again, and this time, we had several goals for the trip: we wanted to make sure that we got it right this time, because we didn't get it right the first time, and my brother wanted to get to know his Korean roots better, even though he is now an adult, working as an American and living as an American, and I wanted to get to know my Korean roots better in relation to my major in college, and this time, I wanted to research more about the Korean healthcare system that I had experienced as a child.
Of course, I also wanted to have fun in Korea and enjoy the freedom to roam around the country unlike when I was a student, but I didn't take it too seriously.
Korea was so different from the U.S. It had the look of a big city in the U.S., but it had its own unique vibe. It was much more developed than the neighborhoods we live in in the U.S., and everywhere you looked was filled with people, and there were hundreds or thousands of stores selling a variety of things. If you were walking around and traveling, and you got thirsty and needed a break, there were cafes all around you that you could just pop into and take a break, and you didn't have to go far to find a restaurant that had one Korean food and sold it, because all the infrastructure was there.
Everything is around you, and everything you want or need is always right around the corner, which is why people call city life so convenient and love it.The public transportation system in Korea, which is light years better than the big cities in the U.S., helped us get around without any difficulty. It was also so much fun to get a T-money card, carry it around, and use it to get around Korea for a very low cost.
And when my brother and I would walk around, going to cafes, restaurants, and other places where there was something to do, many Koreans would tell us that we made a good looking couple. When I would tell them, in a pleasant and complimentary way, that we were actually brother and sister, they would look surprised and apologize.
But it's completely understandable, because even in the U.S., more people think of us as a couple or friends than they do as siblings, and there's not much of an adoption culture in Korea, and no one adopts and brings European or American children to Korea, so it's no wonder we get these funny misunderstandings.
To be honest, even in the U.S. nowadays, you can still encounter people who ask my brother and I questions about our relationship with unpleasant intentions to hurt us, assuming that we are not a couple or friends, but maybe even a man.A recent memory is of an American grandfather in his 70s who made a very rude remark to us, asking us what kind of father our father was to have two women give birth at the same time.
In the U.S., most people are friendly and kind to me, but the problem is that some people sometimes make fun of my brother because he looks Asian, but this was not the case in Korea at all.No one discriminated against me because of my different appearance.
And there's actually a story I wasn't going to tell in this article, but I'm writing it down because I had my brother's permission to do so.After arriving in Korea, we decided to search for my adopted brother's birth parents in order to trace his roots. My parents and I respected his decision to pursue this endeavor in Korea, and of course, we decided to support it. We visited the Korean adoption agency and requested my brother's adoption records. The representative provided us with all the information possible and was eager to help us, saying that efforts to find one's roots are ongoing every day.Together, we were able to find some important clues in the records.
My brother decided to visit his birthplace based on those clues, and of course, I joined him on the journey. We were always laughing since we came to Korea, but at this moment, there was more seriousness than laughter. We visited my brother's birthplace together and talked to the local people.
At the time, there was only a vague record of my brother's father and mother, but no proper records, so we only knew where he was born, and we had to go there and find someone who had lived there for a long time. But Korea is a very fast-developing country, and the sad thing is that the area where my brother was born and spent the first few months of his life was already torn down and replaced by a huge apartment complex. We felt that if we had come sooner, at least before these new apartments were built, things would have been at least better than they were, but there was no point in regretting what had passed. We visited the social welfare center and police station in the area, explained our situation, and asked for help. The Korean people were very kind, listening to my brother's story and letting us know what we could do.
We were told that when a new apartment building is built in Korea, new people who have no connection to the area move into the apartment, but that some of the people who live in these new apartments have been living here for a long time, most likely elderly people, and that the best thing to do is to find them and ask them about their past.We felt that this information would be very useful to us, as we were very confused and frustrated.
So my brother and I, along with a Korean lady who felt sorry for us and wanted to help, approached the elderly people who came in and out of the apartment and asked them questions. But despite all our efforts, we were unsuccessful in finding my brother's biological parents. We had many clues and information, but we were unable to find any conclusive evidence. My brother was disappointed, but we were comforted by the fact that we had done our best. Maybe if we could have spent a few weeks, maybe even a few months here to find and talk to an elderly person with memories of the past, we could have found a clue to the solution, but we couldn't stay in Korea, so in the end, we had to give up without proceeding any further. When I saw the look on my brother's face as he said that if he had the chance, he would visit Korea next time for this sole purpose, I felt a great sense of disappointment.“It's a shame that we couldn't find them, but thank you for trying,” he said to me.I couldn't say it anymore.
It would have been great if he could have completed his homework, but he didn't.Contrary to my initial expectations, the Korean adoption agency tried to be as helpful as possible, and I was very grateful to the government officials in the place of my brother's supposed birth, who were very sympathetic to his situation and actively tried to help him, and to the Korean lady who passed by.
Having been treated by the Korean healthcare system in the past, I took this level of care for granted and thought that it was something that everyone could enjoy, but then, when I was a high school student in the U.S., I was seriously ill and did not receive the same care as I did in Korea, so I remember suffering terribly and tried to understand why this difference occurred.
Before I came to Korea, I had already arranged to meet with someone, and although I didn't get to visit any specialized institutions, I was able to meet with Korean college students, and I learned a lot of information from them: medical students, pharmacy students, and I was able to get a lot of information from them.
The Korean healthcare system was different from the U.S. in many ways: it was fast, efficient, and provided a high level of care at a relatively low cost. The quick response and organized system for emergencies was especially impressive. The emergency rooms in Korea were very reasonably priced, allowing people to go to them for minor and mild symptoms. At this point, I thought that if there were a lot of people going to the emergency room for minor symptoms, it would be a problem if someone came in who needed emergency care, but the hospitals in Korea made it very easy to answer that question. I also learned that when a really urgent patient comes in, the emergency room prioritizes the emergency patients and treats them first, ignoring the minor ones. It's so simple and obvious: the doctors have the skills to determine the severity of the patient's condition, and they can prioritize the treatment accordingly.
Not only that, but it was very easy to get an appointment in Korea and the wait time was short. The Korean medical staff emphasized patient care and prompt treatment, and they utilized the latest medical technology and equipment to provide the best possible medical care.
In the U.S., medical care is often very expensive, complicated, and difficult to access quickly, and many people are unable to get proper treatment due to insurance issues.I also received prompt treatment in Korea when I was in middle school without insurance and had to pay a reasonable price, but the experience was a nightmare as I remember being very sick in middle school and high school, and I felt that the Korean system was far superior.I felt that the Korean healthcare system is not for profit, but is dedicated to protecting the health of the people.
Through my experiences in Korea, I learned about a much broader world than what my brother and I knew before. There are many factors that make Korea such a great country, but the culture and system that my brother and I experienced firsthand helped us understand why.And most of all, Korea is the country that made my brother.I have grateful feelings for Korea, which is also my brother's roots.
My brother and I could tell without speaking to each other that through this visit, we saw in each other a willingness to continue to love Korea more and more, and to strive to learn and understand Korean culture.
Korea is now a country that has special meaning to me as an adult, and I think it will be a great pleasure for me to honor my brother's roots and watch Korea develop and grow.I will continue to connect with Korea and try to help more people discover its charms.
And next year, he plans to visit Korea to find his roots once again. He plans to stay in Korea for more than a month, and he will continue his best efforts during that period.

2024.05.29 06:24 Yarlarinhiscar I shot my shot

You had been liking and commenting on each others pictures and memes. This is a pandemic afterall ! You were openly flirting with me online and I kinda liked the attention . You know I’m a feminist , of the balanced variety , but you staking a claim , publicly , was such a turn on . We bonded over having a similar pattern of never actually dating people that were truly good for us . Our conversation first took place in a comment on a meme about the very subject . We had agreed that the people that were our age, all had children and were single parents or were already taken . I wasn’t sure if I wanted to have kids . You weren’t ready . I messaged you first though . “Who hurt you best friend?” And You told me about your most recent ex cheating on you not once , but twice (that you knew of) . You thought she was the one , so you agreed to take her back but she just couldn’t stop talking to him . I told you that I had you beat — I was going through a divorce , had just recently gotten out of a year long rebound relationship, and a situationship with someone that I truly cared about , but we both knew from high school . You told me you knew because of how public it was . Well good — you knew . I didn’t have to explain it . We messaged like that ALL evening . I kept looking at your picture popping up on my phone and it made my heart skip a beat . You were sweet and honest . You asked questions and follow ups and I got to know you better . When we realized we were always just a little outside of each other’s orbit , we were amazed at how many things we had in common and how many times we COULD have and even SHOULD have hung out . It was like Deja vu. I felt like I already knew you

As a reviewer, I recently had the chance to use the SilencerCo AC669 Harvester Big Bore in my daily shooting activities, and let me tell you, it truly did live up to its reputation. The overall quality of the mount is impeccable, with a stylish design and a solid construction. The compatibility with various firearms, including the Omega 300" Hybrid and Harvester 338, is a major plus, as it allows for a seamless integration into my shooting setup.
However, one downside I noticed was that the installation process was a bit more complicated than expected. Despite this minor setback, the SilencerCo AC669 Harvester Big Bore proved to be a reliable and effective accessory for my firearms.

As a gun enthusiast, I always appreciate a good suppressor for my firearms, and the SilencerCo Hybrid 1/2x36 ASR FH 9mm truly stands out. Its compatibility with the ASR mounting system makes it a breeze to install and remove. The patent-pending resonance suppression feature is a game-changer, eliminating that annoying tuning-fork effect that's so common with competing 3-prong flash hiders.
The design of the 3-port muzzle brake effectively reduces that harsh felt recoil and muzzle climb, making my shooting experience more enjoyable. However, I've noticed that the price point may be a bit higher than some other suppressors on the market, which could be a downside for some. My overall experience with the SilencerCo Hybrid 1/2x36 ASR FH 9mm has been positive, and I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking for an effective, easy-to-use suppressor.

As a seasoned shooter, I recently had the chance to try out the Threaded Silencer by LEGRIS. This bad boy was a game-changer for my 22Lr firearm. The first thing I noticed was the impressive quality of the silencer; it felt sturdy and well-built.
The male thread connection on the silencer was a breeze to set up - it didn't require any extra tools or effort. It securely attached to my firearm without any wobbling, ensuring a stable and reliable fit. This made my shooting experience much more enjoyable and worry-free.
One of the standout features of the Threaded Silencer was its versatility. It could withstand temperatures ranging from -4°F to a scorching 300°F. This made it a reliable option for various shooting environments and conditions. Its ability to handle such a wide temperature range set it apart from other silencers I've used in the past.
However, the Threaded Silencer did come with a slight drawback. While it was easy to attach, removing it proved to be a bit of a challenge. It took a bit of force and some patience to unscrew it, which could be a minor inconvenience for some users.
Overall, the Threaded Silencer by LEGRIS was a reliable and well-built option for my 22Lr firearm. Its impressive temperature range and sturdy construction made it a standout choice among other silencers I've tried. While there was a slight inconvenience with the removal process, it didn't deter me from enjoying my shooting experience with this high-quality silencer.

One of the highlights of this product is the thread mount, which securely attaches, making it perfectly suitable for fixed barrels. The model Fixed Mount has proven to deliver top-notch performance under various conditions.
However, there are some cons to consider. For starters, the Obsidian isn't without its share of bulkiness, which could pose a challenge for those seeking a slimmer profile. Moreover, while it's durable, it does require proper installation and maintenance.
Overall, this suppressor has made a significant impact on my firearm experience, bringing a new level of precision and comfort to my shooting. It's not without its quirks, but that's part of the journey.

The fixed mount fits like a charm on my 1/2x36 thread, and I love its durability. It's clear that the craftsmanship is top-notch, and I'm proud to support a product made right here in the United States.

It truly lived up to its promise, offering a unique solution for suppressor enthusiasts looking to minimize felt recoil.
Though it might not be the most compact option available, it certainly stands out in terms of performance. It proved itself to be highly reliable and efficient, requiring minimal maintenance. As an avid hunter, I've grown accustomed to the loud noise that often accompanies each shot when using a suppressor. It can be a nuisance, especially when I'm trying to maintain stealth during my hunting expeditions. That's when I stumbled upon the Saunders Vudu-X String Stop Black 3/8 in. Daimeter 8 in. Rod.
This innovative suppressor caught my attention with its patented, high-performance compound bow string silencer that replaces my carbon rod dampener. The moment I installed it, I noticed a significant difference in the level of noise it produced. Gone were the resonant strikes and replaced with a much quieter experience.
What sets the Vudu-X apart is its ability to trap the string in a recoil chamber, effectively silencing every single shot. It also absorbed limb shock, making my overall shooting experience smoother and more comfortable.
However, it wasn't all good news. The Vudu-X sometimes felt a bit bulky, making it slightly harder to maneuver compared to my previous suppressor. Nevertheless, the benefits greatly outweighed the minor inconvenience.
Overall, I'm happy with the Saunders Vudu-X String Stop Black 3/8 in. Daimeter 8 in. Rod as my suppressor of choice. Its ability to significantly reduce noise and absorb limb shock makes it a worthwhile investment for any hunter seeking a more discreet and comfortable shooting experience.

What is a 22Lr suppressor?

A 22LR suppressor is a device that is designed to reduce the noise created by a 22LR (. 22 Long Rifle) rifle when the trigger is pulled. This device, also known as a silencer, helps to make shooting more enjoyable in noise-sensitive environments and ensures that others nearby are not bothered by the sound.

What are the benefits of using a 22Lr suppressor?

https://preview.redd.it/t4cvicghla3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4486a1c5cd452988fd00006daa65205a3fda6eab
  • Improved shooting experience: A suppressor significantly reduces the noise generated during firing, making the experience more pleasant and enjoyable for both the shooter and others nearby.
  • Safety: Reduced noise can help protect your hearing over time, especially if you shoot frequently.
  • Less disturbance: Suppressors help to reduce noise pollution, minimizing interference with wildlife and other nearby people or activities.

How does a 22Lr suppressor work?

A 22LR suppressor works by using a series of baffles to slow down and dissipate the high-speed gas generated by the firing of a 22LR bullet. This gas, in turn, cools down and reduces the noise created during firing. The suppressor's internal components are typically made from materials that are heat-resistant and can withstand the high temperatures and pressures generated by the firing process.

Are suppressors legal to own and use?

The legality of owning and using suppressors varies by country and sometimes by state or province. In the United States, ownership of suppressors is permitted under the National Firearms Act, provided that the owner holds a valid Federal Firearms License and has completed the necessary background checks and paperwork. It is recommended to consult with local authorities or experts for the most accurate information regarding your specific situation.

How do I choose the right 22Lr suppressor for my needs?

  • Consider the type of shooting you plan to do: Different suppressors are designed for specific applications, such as hunting or target shooting. Be sure to choose one that is suitable for your intended use.
  • Research materials and construction: High-quality materials and construction will ensure a durable and effective suppressor that can withstand a variety of shooting conditions.
  • Check for user reviews and ratings: Reading reviews from other users can help you understand the pros and cons of different models and make an informed decision.
  • Consult with experts: Seek advice from knowledgeable individuals, such as gun store owners or experienced shooters, to help you find the best suppressor for your needs.

What are some popular 22Lr suppressors on the market?

Popular 22LR suppressors on the market include the SilencerCo Omega 36M, the Rugged Suppressors Fatboy 22, and the Tactical Innovations 22LR Pro.

2024.05.29 06:23 MinuteMedium5833 What you need to know before buying an ergonomic chair?

Hello folks, I have been using ergonomic chair and other smart furniture stuff for a while and just wanna share a bit of my experiences (and issues, too) when using these "ergo" thing so that anyone who's looking for a purchase can have a better reference. I also made a similar post for standing desk that you can check out here: https://www.reddit.com/StandingDesk/comments/1cu0tww/sharing_my_standing_desk_experiences_tips_fo?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button
So what should you consider when looking for a good ergonomic chair? While it's highly subjective and depending on each person's preferences and styles, I have summarized some bullet points that I believe lots of people will relate to:
  1. Seat padding & backrest quality should be top priority: because these 2 parts will affect 90% of your experience and feeling when you sit on the chair. For me there's 2 popular types of seat padding in the market right now: Cushion (or Foam) and Mesh. It's a short statement, high-quality mesh is more comfortable than a cushion since it's breathable (wich support better air flow and don't make you feel overheated when sitting during long hours). But it doesn't mean that cushion seat sucks. If a chair makers use a high-density foam and incorprate lots of memory foam (a material made from PU, and also used in mattress to enhance comfort) layers, then the outcome quality of the cushion can be comparable (to some extent) with a mesh seat as well. However, with a normal person it's not easy to check this info, and as far as I know, most of brands don't public these details (density specs and foam layer technology). So if I have to make a suggestion, going for a mesh seat would be an easier option. And if you still prefer the cushion seat, consider choosing reputational brand like Herman Miller or Harworth. About backrest, I highly recommend you go for the mesh materials. Leather backrest is not meant for ergonomic, it's meant for gaming and some specific office/home decoration style. Fabric backrest is not worthy to invest, even though it's fairly cheap. And design? for me a single-panel backrest design is enough, but there're some products that offer multi-panel backrest (like the Sihoo DORO S300) for even more customized positions - which is also good because it can perfectly adapt to your exact position and create a good form for your back. But be notice that it will cost you extra $100-$300, so if you have generous budget, go for it. if not, there is no problem at all with a single backrest design
  2. Lumbar support, armrests, and headrest are 3 core adjustability features that you need, anything else is optional. A luxury chair can offer up to 10 different adjustability points. More adjustability features mean more expensive the price is, so I recommend that you just focus on certain things that really matter to you, and for me there are 3 of them: lumbar support, headrest, and armrest. Lumbar support matters the most because it directly affect your spine and back posture. A good lumbar support is the one that's highly adjustable in different angles/position, and you can check this out on the spec info on the brand's website. Do not go for fixed lumbar support because you will never know if the size of the chair fits with your body or not. I would be really mad if I buy a chair just to find out that its lumbar can not adjust to fit my sitting position. With headrest & armrest it's more easy to decide. Headrest should at least be able to go up/down and tilt to adapt to your head's proper position. 3D to 5D armrests should be fine for me, and going from 3D to 5D totally depend on what you need. with 3D armrest, you can move it up/down, forward/backward, inward/outward; 4D armrests can rotate left/right, 5D ones can rotate vertically. You won't need to pay more for 6D armrest, unless you are a real hardcore gamer or have a specific task that require it (with normal use case, I don't think that most people will need 6D armrest on your chairs). Additionally, there's couple of things you need to notice about armrests & headrest design: armrest should be lockable because sometime you will find it really annoying when you try to focus on something and would need the armrest to just stay in same position. With headrest it's a bit similar, some low-quality made headrests can easily slide up and down when you sit even if you don't want to, which is very irritating. There're not best practice on how to avoid this, so I recommend you checking different actual user reviews of the chair you intent to buy.
  3. Price: A basic ergonomic chair usually ranges from $199 - $299. With this price you will have basic material (foam, tpe plastic...), basic adjustability, and you can't expect all features that I recommend above (I take price reference for US market only, and my opinion could be wrong in some markets). With a bit higher budget, like $399 - $499, there are quite lots of choices that check 90% of my recommendations. I can name some including Flexispot C7 (mesh seat, 2-panel mesh backset and even a footrest), Autonomous ErgoChair Pro (mesh backrest, high-quality cushion, but their lumbar only offer up/down adjustments, you can not tilt it or push it forward or backward), Branch Verve Chair (this one have a fabric back, not the mesh one, but one of my friend who use it said she has no problem with that, it's still comfy for her). That is just my personal opinion and you should always look for more actual reviews of them before you make any purchase. Regarding the high-end segments, it's no longer about the specs but about the look and feel of the products, as well as how trusted the brand is. You can spend around $1200 on a HM Aeron Chair and can just forget about this post, simply because at HM they put lots of efforts in R&D, and the outchair is already made from finest materials, huge adjustability features and more importantly, its design is unique (the impressive thing about HM is that you can actually go to their website and find out who created which products, like the HM Aeron Chair is created by a designer named Bill Stumpf). Other familiar brand names in this segments that you can take a look is Harthwork (not actually a different brand but like a collection under HermanMiller name), SteelCase...
TL;DR: Seat Pad & Backrest should be considered first, and go for highest possible quality for these parts. About adjustability, focus on 3 most important feature: lumbar support, 3D-5D armrests, adjustable headrest; Pricing: choose what suits your budget - a chair under $399 do not offer lots of premium features; a chair from 399 offer most of standard features and quality; if going above $1000 then care about brand's reputation

2024.05.29 06:21 HotService6080 Should I call out my “friend” on her narcissistic behavior?

(I’m pretty pissed rn so i’m just blabbering and not sure if it will make sense). I (20f) met my friend group that consists of 5. I’ll be giving fake names, Danny, Ivan, Ivory and Daisy. I met them in my second semester of university. This particular “friend” Daisy specifically in the friend group stood out the most since she was the first one I became friends with and got along right away. We started hanging out more with the rest of the group 3rd semester (2nd year fall semester). At that time I was dating my boyfriend (still am) who is abroad right now, so I haven’t seen him for a while. They were aware about him and at that time I was already dealing with a sh*tty roommate, so I was hanging out their dorm constantly. But once 3rd semester came around then we started spending Fridays and Saturdays at Daisy’s dorm. Keep in mind my dorm was a 25 min walk and near a forest and I would get home usually around 12am. Those days we chose to hang out we got high together and it became our norm. Somewhere in late September and Early October I started having really serious issues with my boyfriend and he honestly wasn’t treating me well at that time and I told my friends, because he brought up the plan of marriage and I was hesitant when the group asked me if I really wanted to marry him. Late October I was telling Daisy about it and she told me its best to break things off with him and how she did the same with her ex boyfriend because he was bad for her, and I’m pretty sure she says she misses him (but yeah I kinda forgot). I really didn’t want to breakup with him but I knew I needed to cut him off, so I got home at midnight and called him and broke up with him and instantly regret it. I was already dealing with so much other shit and I almost una****d my self after. But plans didn’t work so I kept my mouth shut. (I’ll get to the point I promise.) Late December I got news that a contract i signed over a year ago with a friend whose father owned a business offered me a job meaning I was going to move to another country. ( I ended up changing the contact for a later year) I would be super close to my boyfriend and I was pretty hesitant since so much had changed and I called my boyfriend who was my ex at that time and told him everything and we talked for a while. Long story short we missed each other a lot and we acknowledged that we both did terrible stuff but in the end if we worked it out together then our relationship could work. We set boundaries and rules for us to follow and we are currently together and I’m really happy right now. I didn’t tell my friends about me getting back with him because I knew they would be upset which I understand. I told Ivory first in late March and I asked for her to be understanding that he changed and she was upset but told me that she’ll always support me and be there for me which I needed to hear. Daisy didn’t find out until 2 weeks before my birthday and Daisy was super pissed at me and ever since she was cold and rude, ending all the convos with the gc that replied to me with periods. Since January I’ve noticed that Daisy would be pretty rude and only think about herself mainly and not the rest of us. There would be some days where I would ask if we can hang out at my place instead and I would always hear the same thing how my place was too far and that it’ll be late when they leave which did annoy me a lot since that was exactly how I went home. I walked back home a lot at midnight, ALONE and high. The 2 times they had came over they all left as a group since Daisy, Ivan and Danny lived in the same building and they would drop off Ivory on the way, while I was the only one who lived the furthest. When we would hang out at Daisy’s place she would ask what we wanted to watch we give ideas and would usually 85% of the time say no to our suggestions and pick the movies she wanted to watch instead. None of us have cars so we rented zipcars and I noticed a while after that when it was only convenient for her and when she was the one who needed groceries then she would text us like the day before or the day and sometimes an hour or so before of whenever she needed to run errands and when we weren’t able too then she would get mad. But when it came to us asking if we can go then she didn’t want too or was low on money which that one i understand. She would get pissed or annoyed a lot at Ivory for being herself sometimes, which honestly imo it pissed me off so much for the way how Daisy was with her. I slowly started distancing myself from the group for a while since I had my own shit going on and I was getting overwhelmed with it. My breaking point was when 2 weeks before my birthday Daisy found out about my boyfriend and went radio silent with me and was ignoring me in the gc and I remember her reposting posts on insta that were targeting me. I sound selfish but I was really looking forward to my birthday, but a week before my birthday I got a call that my mom was in the hospital and I was 12 hours away from her and I was an emotional wreck because I was just hearing she was dying. I didn’t tell my friends about it. I was FaceTiming my boyfriend and crying to him because I felt so alone and needed someone, but I figured celebrating with my friends would kind of help distract me. Since a lot of uni students were doing “peacefully protests”, my campus was shut down and there were many cops on campus and we werent allowed back on campus or else we would get arrested or idk. But the day before my birthday Ivory texted me saying (copied and pasted) “Daisy and Netty would have to walk across campus for it and I asked if there was a way to cancel it still and Dulce said yeah and I was like I don’t want yall to get arrested and then Dulce is being weird and was like “then we’ll cancel it problem solved” and long story short the car has been cancelled”. The plan was that we were going to rent a zipcar and get jack in the box and dutch and then head over to Daisy’s dorm (which i didn’t want and asked if we can maybe do it at my place) and just hang out. But I really didn’t feel like walking 30 minutes back to my dorm (since I couldn’t walk through campus and had to go around). But I’m not sure it just got confusing and in the end everything was canceled and being sad was an understatement. I was really sad about it because it would be my first birthday party with a group of friends who I thought were my actual friends. The day of my birthday and got myself a tiny cake and celebrated by myself in my dorm. Ever since my “amazing” birthday I was just depressed and figured it was time for me to move on to the next chapter of my life. ( I had other problems with my life besides them.) Right before school ended i texted the gc that I was leaving and never coming back and I miss Ivory because she was a really good friend and I miss her a lot.. can’t say much about Daisy because today I posted an instagram story note saying “(uni name) is is greedy and mean just like em. glad im gone” i got sent a letter saying how the school was asking me to pay the remaining medical bill which was like 144$ and idk it just reminded me of the many rude people i came across on my campus. I wasn’t directing it at her until she posted her own insta note and it said “ that’s so crazy, not my fault your delusional” which i know was directed at me. I want to text her and call her out for her the stuff she had done and tell her to grow up. But I’m not sure if I should just block her and move on. I kind of need closure and advice on how to handle the situation.

2024.05.29 06:21 iKarol1 why I hate grace

Hello, My name is Karol, I'm from Minnesota, and I'm new to Reddit. I don't expect this to get much attention, but I've been needing to get this off my chest for a while. So to jump right into it, there's this girl ive known for about eight years now and she has been a bit of a big part of my life. For the sake of this story, we are just going to call her by her middle name, Grace. I had first met her when I was sitting alone at breakfast one day in my elementary school cafeteria, and she and her sister came and sat with me. I was confused until we started talking, and I got to know her quite a bit. Flash forward to the first day of 3rd grade, where I walked into the classroom with my best friend Norma, and I saw Grace again, but this time she had much longer hair and was a little taller. I started to develop feelings for grace, not just normal feelings, though I felt like I really liked her. I didn't recognize Grace at the time; I thought this was a new student. I worked up the courage to talk to her, and that's when I realized it was grace. I didn't think she knew how much of a crush I had on her at the time. A few months into the school year, I met this girl, whom we'll call Lina. Me, Grace, and Lina started to all become friends, and one day we had indoor recess, and my friend Kayla invited me to play Uno with her and some other girls, but Lina also invited me to play Truth or Dare with her, Grace, and some other girls. I decided to go play truth or dare with Lina. It was my turn, and Lina said to me, "Truth or dare?" and I chose dare. She then proceeded to say, "Whisper in your crush's ear and tell them you like them." I began to grow nervous as I felt everyone in the circle looking at me, so I leaned over to Grace and whispered to her, "I like you, but if you don't like me back, don't say it while everyone is watching." Grace whispered back to me, "Well, I do like you," and that was the beginning of an era. Looking back on that moment as I am about to go into my sophomore year, I really wish I had never played truth or dare with them. I could've saved myself from so much bullying, so much drama, and from the worst thing that's ever happened to me: grace. But let me know if you want Part 2, since this is just the beginning.

2024.05.29 06:21 ChiknaMoulvi It hurts.

TL;DR Got dumped suddenly after a year because my ex realized that she couldn’t ever love me the way I loved her. Struggling to get through it now.

AUS Mount from Reptilia, for 30mm diameter magnified optics, is a beautifully crafted piece of machinery. This product is the result of a 2-year development program and it truly shows in its design and functionality. The finish, an Anodized Flat Dark Earth, gives it a sleek look that blends well with various M1913 Picatinny rails it can be attached to.
This AUS Mount stands out due to the custom bolt mounting system with an anti-snag, spring-loaded, nitrided steel clamp. The clamp can be tightened using either a 5/32 hex or a flat blade driver for a low-profile, streamline design. The single piece of billet 7075-T6 aluminum, which it is made from, is further enhanced with the MIL-STD Type III Class 2 hard anodize coating.
The AUS Mount is compatible with all of Reptilia's existing 30mm ROF line and will also work with several new ROF products launching soon. Despite its robust build and advanced tech, it is surprisingly lightweight and compatible with different optic configurations.

With its adjustable incline arms, it's become a breeze to store those hard-to-reach items off the ground. The 30-inch arm length fits perfectly in my limited space, and the steel frame construction gives me the durability that I need.

One of the features that stood out to me is the cantilever mount, which provides a secure and precise connection between the steering servo and the crawler axle. This not only ensures smooth and efficient movement, but also adds a touch of elegance to the overall setup.
However, I did notice that the installation process could be a bit more streamlined. 🔗High-Quality 30MM Cantilever Mount for Marine Accessories

As a sailor, the importance of having a reliable and secure autopilot system cannot be overstated. So when it came time to replace the mounting socket for my autopilot, I decided to give the Raymarine Cantilever Mounting Socket a try. The high-grade design stood out to me and, after a few weeks of using it, I can confidently say that it delivered on its promise of extended lifespan.
One of the things that impressed me most during my first installation was how easy it was to fit on my autopilot. The 30mm cantilever hole was perfect, and with a simple cut and a few twists, the socket was securely in place. I also appreciated the sturdy design, which gave me the confidence that my autopilot would hold up during even the roughest sea conditions.
However, there were a few minor drawbacks as well. After my first use, I had a bit of trouble with the mounting system. Even though the included epoxy was effective in securing the cap, I faced some difficulty getting rid of captured air. Eventually, I found a workaround that involved leaving some of the glue-free while inserting the cap, but I wouldn't say it was ideal.
Overall, I'm satisfied with my purchase of the Raymarine Cantilever Mounting Socket. It's a well-engineered product that delivers a rock-solid performance, and while it's priced a bit higher than some alternatives, it's worth it for the peace of mind it provides.

The first thing that caught my eye was its adjustable design, which provided me with the added flexibility I needed. Whether I had a single piece or a full load, this rack made it easy for me to align the arms perfectly. The pre-drilled holes and included hardware made the process even more streamlined, ensuring that my materials were safe and secure.
One of the features that really stood out was the lips on the rack, which prevented any products from falling off. This little detail made a big difference in ensuring that my materials stayed in place, even under heavy loads.
Of course, no product is without its drawbacks. For me, the one downside was the color, which was a bit loud for my taste. However, this is a minor detail that didn't affect the functionality or durability of the rack.
Overall, the Vestil HSA-C-30 Cantilever Rack has been a lifesaver in my warehouse. Its versatility, durability, and customizable options have made it the go-to product for handling long, heavy materials. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to keep their workplace organized and efficient.

I recently had the chance to use the Shimano Altus CT91 Rear Cantilever Brake with Link Wire during a grueling mountain bike ride. After struggling with my previous brakes, these new ones made a world of difference. The adjustable brake toe and spring tension provided me with peace of mind when braking, especially during those high-speed descents.
One of the things that stood out to me was the straddle wire inclusion. I found myself adjusting it frequently during my ride, which allowed me to fine-tune the brake tension to my liking. The Shimano Reference Number, BR-CT91, also showed me that this was a quality product that would last.
Despite the overall positive experience, I did face a few minor issues. The installation process was a bit longer than I would've liked, and the straddle wire needed some fine-tuning to prevent any unwanted noises or vibrations. However, these issues were easily overcome, and the product's sturdiness and stopping power truly shone through.
In conclusion, the Shimano Altus CT91 Rear Cantilever Brake with Link Wire proved to be an excellent choice for my mountain bike. Its adjustability, durability, and ease of installation made it a win for me, despite those minor hiccups during setup.

As a reviewer, I've been using the InstallerCCTV Universal Cantilever Wall Mount for my TV for quite some time now, and my experience with it has been nothing short of satisfying. Made of heavy-duty aluminum and steel, this mount is incredibly sturdy, providing reliable strength to hold up to 45 pounds, no matter the type of television I use.

The full-motion design allows for easy manual adjustments, enabling me to find the perfect angle for an optimal viewing experience. The package comes with everything I need, including a user manual and hardware pack, making it a hassle-free setup process.
However, one area where it falls short is the bubble level. It doesn't come included with the mount, so users might need to purchase it separately or rely on their own tools for ensuring a perfectly balanced positioning. Nonetheless, this minor inconvenience hasn't detracted from my overall positive experience with the InstallerCCTV Universal Cantilever Wall Mount. It truly is a reliable and user-friendly choice for any TV enthusiast.

I spent 7 years with my ex, mostly on and sometimes off since age 15. We have literally been to hell and back together, through my homelessness suffered a miscarriage together, we were best friends, inspererable most of the time, she literally was the only person I had/ have.
A few months ago I saw a picture on her snap memories which was dated during one of our short break ups, and she had a baby bump.
"It was your baby ,and I didnt tell you because I lost it. before I got the chance."
Then when I explained how it couldnt have been mine because the dates didnt work out and that I'd also seen pictures of her and some other guy around the same time
"Okay, I'm sorry but when we split up I started seeing him and I got pregnant. I got "rid of it" because I was embarrassed."
Then her story switched a thousand times, any and all combination of it being my baby or this other guys, and her having a miscarriage or having an abortion.
I still dont know the truth. I never will. All I know for sure is she was fucking me and this guy at the same time . Not when we split up as she said.
Between this (plus a thousand other things she did) and another girl who lied about being pregnant with my kid when I was 14, I've really lost any belief in what people tell me. Trust isnt an option anymore.
It's been months now and I genuinely dont miss her, I dont want her because I know how bad it was. But at the same time, it doesnt make what she did any less painful, or stop It from affecting me.

2024.05.29 06:19 Wild-Level-9822 Things in My New Apartment are Getting Weird 4; Wanna Open It?

Hey everyone, firstly I wanna say thank you for the support I'm getting talking about all this. I've mentioned it already but it really does help me feel less crazy just being able to dump this all on someone and not feel like I'm going to have to go to a mental hospital or something. I also meant to post this update earlier today, but my internet was acting strange and would let me do anything with it all day. Finally was able to post using the internet at work and I hope a few things that happened in this story will explain some stuff, or maybe just raise more questions. Who knows at this point.
One thing that's helped besides trauma dumping here is a friend I have here asked me to a lake nearby to hang out for Memorial Day. Of course with everything going on here, I was more than happy to accept. If not just to get away for a while. We had a great day, beers, swimming, finally seeing some people I knew were real again. The whole past weekend or so has been a lot and some sense of normalcy really helped my nerves. It still all weighed on the back of my mind though. The man with the box, the key, the screams and knocking. Especially Macy. Maybe some part of me just wanted to brush off our last weird text interaction and see her again. Maybe some part, I'd say the bigger part, just wanted to figure out if she's related to this somehow.
When I got back last night, it was the same as always. Not a single person around. Again I wanna be clear, there's a ton of cars in the parking lot, like to the point I have trouble finding a spot close to my building door. And obviously I've seen the man with the box and Macy, so I know there's definitely people that live here. But nobody around, except them of course. I guess this time it could've just been the fact I got home late. Still... it gives me chills the deeper I think about it.
I made my way up the stairs to my apartment, the echoing of my footsteps through the stairwell emphasizing to me just how alone I was. Back inside, I unconsciously threw my own keys on my counter right next to the key from before and it really all came flooding back. But I'm trying to stay level headed. Regardless, to try to keep it from sending me over the edge, I slid it away from mine and haphazardly threw a notebook nearby on top of it to block it from view. I went out to my balcony and lit a cigarette. What I had initially thought was going to be the end to the night.
Leaning on the railing, I let the nicotine calm me back down. Across the street I noticed house lights here and there shutting off, other folks calling it a night too as the holiday came to an end. As I finished and put it out in the, admittedly overly full ashtray, I noticed the mark on the small rug I placed out there from the coffee Macy spilled. I got it right after the box incident to cover the scratches from that in the concrete. The stain was right where the scratches would've been and I had a strange thought. I whipped out my phone and fumbled to turn the flashlight on. Once it was, I lifted the rug and shined the concrete underneath. The scratches were completely gone as if they, or even the box, had never been there.
As I stared in confusion, I got a text message. My heart skipped a beat and I dropped both the rug and my phone, luckily not losing it off the balcony. I snapped myself back to reality and picked it back up to check. It was Macy. After about a full minute of contemplation, I opened it.
"Hey I saw you get home," she had written. How? How on earth did she see me get home? I'm hyper vigilant for anyone, anyone at all I can see whenever coming or going given the circumstances, and I definitely didn't see her anywhere. The more rational part of my brain reminded me she came to my apartment, I hadn't any idea which one she lived in so maybe her window faced the parking lot and she had seen me that way. Even that though, what are the chances she would see me get back right when I did and text so soon after unless she had been watching for me already? I didn't know if that was flattering or another thing I should be worried about. On top of that, her last other text I could still see right above this one made me more sure that something was going on.
I immediately went into investigation mode. "Oh hey, yea lol I've been out with a friend all day," I replied. My whole goal now was to try to seem casual and see if I could pull something out of her to figure out just what the hell is happening here. I wasn't going to ask her about the last text, I certainly wasn't going to bring up the screaming or knocking. I had to navigate this carefully.
"Oh fun! How was it?" This is getting even stranger, she seemed more casual than I was actively trying to be. Granted I barely knew this girl, this didn't sound like the one I met. But I'm not stopping here.
"It was fun yea, I'm a bit exhausted haha," I tried not to leave it open for her to actually have a reason to come over. I was actually tired, but now I wanted answers and wasn't looking to have anymore weird incidences right now. Despite not wanting any though, I'm sure you can tell I wouldn't be writing this if they didn't happen.
"Good!" another out of character response.
As chill as possible, I replied, "So how was your day? Anything interesting?" Doing my best to pry at some sort of evidence or answers or something. I regret sending it now, what she said next just made me more worried. I should've just ignored my phone and went to bed.
"Yea I met a really nice guy in the building, he's cool we should all hang out sometime" I know exactly who she's talking about, I'm sure you know exactly who she's talking about. Now I couldn't stop myself.
"Did he give you anything?" Dammit. I hit send before thinking. That was definitely too much and too abrupt. At best I sound like a weirdo or like I was about to get jealous. At worse I was gonna get the answer I didn't want. The answer I expected as badly as I didn't want to.
"Lol yea actually how'd you know? He left a box with a really nice note sometime after he left. It's supposed to be a gift, but I don't really get it." I should've ended the conversation right there and just come up with a reason in the morning why. But I felt like the puzzle pieces were close to fitting together. Unfortunately, I was right.
I felt I was getting obsessed. "Really? So you opened it?"
"Yea there was like an old jewelry box inside, I think he forgot the key though, it's locked" I knew what would open it. I slowly looked to the spot on the counter where the key was. Still covered by the notebook. I went over to it and placed my hand on the notebook. When I did though I was jump scared again by the slam of a door. Rather, not a door slamming shut but the way it sounds when someone opens it hard and it bangs into the wall. Clearly coming from the hallway. Then another, then another. I heard this over and over again getting further and further away until finally it stopped. I wish I never walked out to investigate but like I said, I was obsessed now and just had to know. I cautiously, quietly as possible, opened my door and peered out.
Every single door down to the opposite end of the hall was wide open. I'd like to say I was relieved, finally seeing some sign of the other apartments being occupied. But because every one, at least that I could see, was pitch black inside, it still wasn't evidence per se. Until I started seeing hands.
Out of the next door apartment, almost coyly, someone's hand slowly stuck out and started waving. I started walking towards it. Looking back now it was like I was in a trance. I just had to see. I had to see what was in the apartment. As soon as I got close enough to actually try to see inside proper, the hand yanked back inside and the door slammed back shut, immediately followed by a quick series of angry knocks from the other side of the door. Then I noticed another hand coming out of the next apartment. Waving.
Picking up my pace now, I walked towards this apartment door. But the same thing happened before I got close enough. The door slammed shut and a quick set of the same aggressive knocks followed. This process repeated over and over the same way all the way down the hall as I kept walking faster until I was jogging. I had to see inside one of these apartments. But every time. Hand. Wave. Slam. Knocks.
That happened until I reached the end of the hall, where noticeably, no hand came out of the last apartment. I stopped in my tracks. Anxiously I started towards this last door. It was pitch black like the rest, but in the doorway, someone was standing there. It was Macy.
She was facing into the apartment away from me and she seemed off. Not the way she was acting, I mean obviously pulling a Blair Witch in the doorway was off, don't get me wrong. I mean there was something off about the way she looked. She looked taller...her hands looked bigger...her shoulders looked broader. "M-Macy?" I tried to get her attention. She slowly turned around and I noticed her looked different too. Bigger like the rest of the things that seemed off about her now, but I recognized those eyes. I couldn't forget those eyes if I wanted to. Ever since I saw them in the parking lot. Ever since I saw them from balcony. And there they were again, just staring again.
Macy began a slow smile. Wider and wider until she looked even stranger than she already did. I started backing away. She stepped out and turned. Now standing still in the hallway with the same expression and strange features. She didn't follow me but I didn't dare take my eyes away off her until I got to the other end of the hall and to my apartment. Still looking at her standing like a statue, I patted around my door until I found the handle. Slipping inside as quick as possible, I locked the door. The screaming started again.
I could tell where it was coming from exactly now though. It was coming from down the hall where I left Macy. And it was getting closer. Slowly but surely making its way to my end of the hall. I grabbed my gun, terrified at what might come next. Louder and louder, I heard this blood curdling scream until it was right outside my door. I raised my gun, but just as suddenly as it started, it completely stopped. Next thing I heard was my phone vibrate. Still watching for what might happen at the door, I checked my phone. It was Macy...
"Wanna open it?"
I didn't even think about texting her back. I stayed up for a long long time the rest of the night, but that text seemed to top off the night's events as nothing else happened. The day at the lake and then everything I had just been through had me wiped out and eventually I couldn't stay awake. I the time I was awake I was too freaked to write any update, so that's what I'm doing now while the memory is still fresh. I ended up taking a double and letting my evening shift run into a night shift. Hopefully, I'll get some ideas on what to do next after I spend a night or two away from that place.

2024.05.29 06:19 These_Possibility_28 AITAH for wanting a harsher outcome on my gf’s best friend?

My girlfriend (19F) and I (18M) are getting married in a few weeks. We sent out invitations, but we didn't invite her best friend, "B." B and my girlfriend have known each other since elementary school but only became close in the last two years. I also knew B since elementary school, but we never spoke until we ended up in the same college elective. I introduced myself, and we had about five brief and general conversations. She seemed chill and nothing out of the ordinary.
Months later, I started dating my girlfriend. During a conversation, I found out that B had been badmouthing me to her. B didn't know my girlfriend and I were dating, and my girlfriend felt uncomfortable telling her because of B's negative comments. According to my girlfriend, whenever I was mentioned, B would make wild assumptions about me, like claiming I was trying to talk to a lot of girls. Every time I was slightly brought up, my girlfriend noticed a shift in B's tone, making it clear B didn't particularly like me. This was shocking because, in my brief interactions with B, I had been nothing but respectful, friendly, and polite.
Eight months into our relationship, I urged my girlfriend to tell B that we were dating. B apologized to me, saying she didn't mean any of it and tha just hates on people for fun. I dismissed her previous behavior, and we all hung out once after that, which went well. Months later, B asked my girlfriend about marriage and how she and I had probably talked about it. At that stage of our lives, we weren't thinking about marriage, so my girlfriend gave a general answer like, “We've talked a bit about it, but nothing serious yet. We're so young." According to my girlfriend, B spent hours insisting that she should give me an ultimatum about marriage, suggesting she should threaten to break up with me if I didn't commit. My girlfriend tried to change the topic, but B kept discussing it for hours.
Recently, my girlfriend and B had an argument about B's behavior. While I was giving my girlfriend advice, she received an Instagram message from B with a meme about a girl moving on from her ex, captioned with my name and laughing emojis. This felt like B was mocking our relationship. Given all this, I told my girlfriend I didn't want to invite B to our wedding unless she really wanted to.
My girlfriend was unsure since B has been her best friend for many years, but she didn't get mad at me for not sending an invitation to B, so we didn't. Now, B is bombarding me with messages, demanding to know why she wasn't invited and making me feel like I'm the bad guy.
NEW UPDATE: So since then everyone agreed with my take and not wanting to invite her to the wedding and I showed my gf and she agreed kinda. Now since then she and the best friend talked and my gf confronted her about everything.
Girlfriend: “Hey B, remember that post you sent me?”
B: “Yeah, what about it?”
Girlfriend: “Well, I was with him the other day, and he saw it too. We were both like, ‘What’s this?’ I felt weird about it and was wondering where it came from. Even though it seemed pretty straightforward, I was curious about what you meant by it.”
B: “Wait, omg, he saw that? He wasn’t supposed to see it!”
Girlfriend: “Yeah, but it was weird to send even if it was just for me.”
B: “Okay, it was purely a joke poking fun at the fact that we used to have fake beef.”
Girlfriend: “I get what you mean, but the post seemed like it was taking a dig at our relationship, not just a lighthearted joke about my boyfriend.”
B: “I understand why you feel weird about it now. I didn’t see it that way at all. My intention was different, but your feelings are valid.”
Girlfriend: “Yeah, but you know, it’s not a great feeling to see something like that. I’m sure he doesn’t appreciate you sending me stuff like that because he knows how close we are. It comes off as weird, like you’re against our relationship.”
B: “I completely get that. Please tell him I didn’t mean it that way at all. I’m just silly and send stupid posts all the time.”
Girlfriend: “Okay, I’ll let him know. But what’s your plan going forward?”
B: “I’m definitely going to try to be more mindful about what I’m sending. I didn’t think about how it would look, even though it was straightforward to interpret. I maybe want to have a chat with him as well to sort things out and show I’m apologetic. But I’ll sleep on it first because this is a lot.”
Although she’s not invited my gf is reconsidering inviting her which somewhat annoys me. My gf doesn’t have many friends so I understand why she doesn’t wanna let go of her but at the same time I was hoping for more of a harsh outcome rather than this casual conversation.
