2024.05.28 13:31 AGentleCat_InA_Box Verknüpfung Google Maps und Rettungsgasse

Hallo,

2024.05.20 22:40 Objective-Ad-2447 My first long roadtrip

My first long roadtrip
So this weekend I had my first long roadtrip in my LRSM MY24 (pilot and plus). We went from northern Denmark to Amsterdam. A trip on just over 900 km each way.
The trip in general was a super pleasant trip! The car eats up the kilometers like nothing. I followed highway speed limits, which was mostly 130 km/h. This was also the speed I held on autobahn of except for a little test to 190.. Just to try it. I will say that even at those speeds the car was super stable and comfortable despite the lane assist gets disabled at 140 km/h.
We had three charging stops along the way each way, and we chose to drive after Tesla chargers since I already have a Tesla subscription for lowered charge rates. There were no issues finding available chargers and at no point had I any range anxiety.
I'm still trying to figure out whether I prefer ABRP or Google Maps. We took ABRP on the way there, and Google Maps on the way back. ABRP planned highway all the way, despite a longer route, and Google Maps planned a shorter route with less kilometers, despite this meaning we had around 100 km off highways in Germany. This route was less stressful though, and I generally felt that it took less of a toll on me while driving. So for this, I'd probably go with Google Maps.
Both Google Maps and ABRP was rather pessimistic regarding range, and I often came to a charger with around 10% more battery compared to what it thought in the beginning. On the way back I deliberately found a charger further away than what Maps planned for. This meant I came home with around 30% instead of 10% of battery which was nice the following day, as I can't charge easily at home.
We only had a single issue on the way, and that was the infotainment system completely crashing at one point on the way home. Went completely dark, and killed music and climate system, along with navigation on the drivers display. We rebooted the system with a normal infotainment reset, and it was back to normal. Even maps resumed the trip, though it had selected a weird detour instead.
All in all, a very pleasant trip! And yes, in an ICE it could have been done faster, but I found myself in need to relax my arms and stretch my legs at the charging stops, so in an ICE I'd have similar breaks on the way.
Definitely not the last time going on a trip like this!

2024.05.17 16:22 funnymanus Impressions Kia EV9 after 5k km (europe)

Impressions Kia EV9 after 5k km (europe)
I have been using an Iceberg green EV9 AWD GT-line 6 seater for almost 2 months, and have driven over 5k km with it already on mainland europe from Netherlands to Serbia. I primarily bought it because I'm tall and simply other EVs have not enough head, leg or shoulder room for me to drive comfortably longer periods. I was also looking for a more "traditional looking" interior with buttons, instead of something ultra minimalistic or a space ship.
Things not-to-do:
  • Don't trust google maps, it led me to a not-yet-finished charging station and almost run out of juice.
  • Don't fully trust ionity chargers: out of a 4k road trip I have had 2 chargers where none of the plugs were working with EV9 and discussing with ionity they blame the car. Next to me was audi, ev6, or e-niro having no problems. Recommend not fully draining your battery if you are heading to an ionity charger.
  • Tesla chargers too slow, I have seen almost all chargers go above 200kw if capacity allows it.
Trust the built-in satnav. It works excellent, pre-heats your battery starting about 30km away from your charging stop and if you driving past it will go to the next station that matches your pre-configured criteria. Makes ABRP premium also irrelevant/not required.
My primary charge card shell, secondary chargemap: about 90% of the chargers I went only accepted shell, but often seen significant price premium if I would use chargemap. (interested what others are using)
Strange behaviours/issues:
  • emergency break: had 2 occasions now when emergency break has triggered out of nowhere stopping the car almost to 0. Both occasion seemingly caused by high contrast on the road ( very bright daylight broken by another road or building ). Had no cars front of me or behind me for 100+ meters.
  • switching drivers: both me and wife using it with seperate profiles that comes with different seat and mobiles being paired. More than once either the seat config didn't match the profile(or seat button to profile) or phone had to be re-paired.
Things I Hate/makes no sense:
  • day0 moments after I took the car home(40km) I had the 1st row passenger side control panel burn away under the seat: plastic burn smell, electronics fried: I was the first in the country took 3weeks+ the part to arrive, but no issues since. Begs the question what was the QC like in the factory. This incident resulted heating/cooling disabled in the first row and disabling adjustability of the 1st row passanger seat.
  • having 5+ cameras on this car and no built-in dashcam? for this price? not even a usb port behind the mirror to power one?
  • pairing keys to profiles: I have my own keys so as my wife, is matching profiles to keys really that difficult?
  • Kia Connect only works 2nd time: starting the app always shows disconnected until I kill the app and restart again. Often times all I want to do is just to pre-heat or cool the car. If I start the app, start the climate control it fails 1-2 minutes later. -> instead I have to start the app, kill the app, start the app again then wait for connection to be established and then can control the climate.
  • stopping the caengine and stepping out doesn't open all other doors. Unable to unlock with the key, have to unlock all doors from driver-side door.
  • have to put the car in park mode to open the boot: not possible to open from outside or inside using buttons for this specific purpose. When someone just want to toss-in something to the boot before jumps in the car this is pretty irritating.
  • Turning circle of this car makes it a difficult to park with in narrow places, would be nice if the back tires would also turn. Not as crazy as Ioniq 5 crab walk, but a little would help.
Things I love:
  • The look: every time I see I smile. It has a bit of a brutalist look, and certainly stands out but that's what I like about it.
  • comfort: I drove 1500km in 2 days and felt nothing the day after, no broken back or stiff legs. Having done this multiple times previously with other car(2015 outlander phev) I was very happy with it.
  • Audio: while it's not the best, certainly pretty decent audio from a factory package.
  • Proper sized cupholders, and some room next to them. Skoda Enyaq, what's up with this?
  • Charging speed: seeing 200kw and even around 100kw close to 80% makes me happy, and I don't think it takes too long compared to recular ICE cars.
  • The speed/acceleration: Tested on the german autobahn it goes up to 206km/h, it's super impressive. So as the 0-100 under 5s, have helped me to avoid some near-crash situation from others.
  • home-charging: with a standard granny charger from kia could achieve 2.5-2.7kw setting it to 12A which made overnight charging very easy from normal household plugs and a proper extension cord that was sitting nicely in the frunk.
Minor things:
  • The little table/drawer for the 2nd row slides back in if the car is in movement, almost chopped off someone's finger who wanted a snack. It should be locked position once pulled out.
  • Press and hold unlock/lock button only controls the windows and not the sunroof: had to step back to the car multiple times after turning it off when noticed left the sunroof open. Extra would be to close the door of the boot also.
  • shiny/glossy buttons. On the steering wheel? Why? 90% of the wheel is matte. On the Door for heating/cooling but underneath it's matte. Consistency is key, not to mention little sunshine can make those things pretty irritating.
  • headlights status: I'm pretty tall and unless ducking down my head to see the headlight status it's simply unknown to me if it's on or off. Once I noticed going for a few km with high beams, having this on the HUD would be nice.
Overall I'm happy with the car, some of these nuances that irritate me hopefully will be fixed with software update.
+1 People do come up to me in charging stations asking about the car (Mercedes, Nio, bmw, tesla owners) which made me supper happy and seemingly has been recognized by many.

2024.05.16 13:51 ConfidentRelease9292 Question about RoadSync

Hi, So I got myself a new 2024 CB650R and was wondering, whether some of you have already done some experimenting (preferrably in germany/europe) with the RoadSync navigation function.
I'm having some trouble with google maps, namely: - Can't disable usage of Bundesstraßen (large roads similar to Autobahn, although those can be disabled) - The drag-and-drop functionality available on pc to change the exact route does not keep the exact route when sending the route to my mobile phone - This can be circumvented by adding actual stops to the route, but this adds more problems: - Once I reach a stop (which is not meant to be an actual stop, just used to edit the exact route) maps asks whether I want to continue navigation, which I cannot do via the motorcycle - Stops are limited to 8 per route
Tl:dr, planning motorcycle routes is BS with google maps, but the other apps I tried don't seem to be much better, and RoadSync integration would be very cool.
Do you have some tips for better route-planning apps compatible with RoadSnc, or another workaround for google maps?

Wann erschienen: C.a. 2000?

  1. San Francisco:
Ob's wirklich so hieß, keinen Schimmer.
Parkhaus war c.a. 2 Stockwerke hoch?

2024.05.02 16:15 Boiler1012 Buying from mainland Europe

Given the disaster with Brexit and the nightmare of Vat costs, Im now looking at getting my next bike in mainland Europe and driving her home. Would love a bit of advice from anyone whose done so.
Firstly the trip home; I'm between getting the ferry from France straight to Ireland or going through uk and getting ferry from holyhead. France option seems like it would be easier, possibly cheaper, and I'd be putting less miles on the bike, but google maps is adamant about the uk option.
Secondly where to buy; I was originally looking at France as the Leboncoin site is decent, you pay a 20 quid deposit and they guarantee money back if something shady happens. However, my mechanic recommends I get it from Germany as they're known to take better care of their bikes (his words, not mine, to any French here, dont want to be offending anyone). Germany is however a much longer drive, I'd probably need to stay over at least 1 night on the way, and the Autobahn is intimidating; I've never done more than a few hours non stop, and 19 hours of autobahn seems exhausting.

2024.04.29 19:51 Motorenbauerhermann 852 Kilometer am Tag pendeln?

Habe ein Traumhaus gefunden. Leider 426 Kilometer von meiner Arbeit entfernt. Homeoffice oder neue Arbeitgeber ist nicht drin. Für ein Auto hätte ich noch 10.000€ über. Was sollte ich nehmen ? Alte S Klasse ?

2024.04.28 20:01 Salvuryc How to navigate Hamburg?

The bane of my existence after having moved to Sweden but still having family in Netherlands is Hamburg.
On the last trip down there we took the ferry from Kiel. Said to my relatives we will either show up today on Sunday or overnight depending on what Hamburg throws at us.
Yesterday driving on a Saturday. And having had a overnight 2.5 hours away from Hamburg we thought that Kiels ferry would be within reach. Whole family in the car gps says that we would worse case have about 4-5 hours in Kiel before the ferry takes off. Than google maps eta starts increasing till it crosses the last check in call. We have to rebook to take the much later and much more driving rostock ferry.
How does Hamburg function if this is the traffic on a Saturday? What do the locals do to make it home in time to see their loved ones when work is done and you have to make your way home during the week? I just don't understand it.
I've learned the rules of the autobahn. Can drive trough all the roadworks. Have tried following Waze or Google when they come up with alternatives. The city always outsmarts me.
Yesterday we stood still for hours and crawled forward. So happy we had fed and walked the dog properly and the pump in the car to feed the kid...
Any advice other than moving back to the Netherlands to smarty navigate Hamburg would be greatly appreciated.
Update: Extra circumstances and bad luck seem to be the cause. Feels better that it wasn't extremely bad planning on our part as some relatives had suggested.
A bonus was the really good "husmanskost" we got to eat in Rostock.

2024.04.27 17:22 robotco [COMC] The Stack is Back 2024

https://imgur.com/a/uh5DnCq
Every year on or around my birthday I share a COMC post. I've been collecting for 28 years now, constantly refining my collection.
To pre-empt the question I get most every year: yes, the games are fine. You can stack games for literal decades on top of each other and they will be fine. Yes, there is some box caving. I don't care. They play the same on the inside. No, I don't sleeve. It's a serious waste of time and money.
DA GAMES - with a short commentary on each
Pic 1 from left, top to bottom
Carpe Diem - not played yet, but looks like something I'd love

In the Year of the Dragon - probably my favourite Feld. just so tight and engaging.
Hansa Teutonica w/ both expansion maps - it's Hansa Teutonica, yo.
Clinic w/ 1st extension - still debating my feelings on Clinic. it's good, but not sure if it sits in my wheelhouse. may sell soon.
Quartermaster General 1914 - the only QM game I've played, but man, I just love it. there's also not enough medium light games about WW1, so this was perfect.

Twilight Struggle - maybe my favourite game of all time
Imperial Struggle - also maybe my favourite game of all time. love them both

Go Stop - a pretty ubiquitous game here in Korea. play every holiday with my wife and FIL
Deep Sea Adventure - decent push your luck game
Maskmen - my favourite trick-taker. the theme is so hilarious to me.
Sushi Go! - probably the oldest and most played game in my collection. the kids love it. it's cute. it's easy. it's fun.
Innovation w/ Echoes of the Past - Innovation is the best example of how deep you can make a game with just a deck of cards

Cube Quest - I think my only dexterity game. had forever. we have a Cube Quest tournament every Christmas
War of the Ring: The Card Game - better than WotR. blasphemy, I know. but I honestly got the same feels, and the length was comparable, and it's just a bunch of cards and some tokens. great design work
Pax Renaissance - also maybe my favourite game of all time. top 3 for sure.
Through the Desert - I love this game, but sometimes I feel its over after the first move
Thebes - so thematic. so much fun to dig into those bags and get a big pull.
Santa Maria w/ all expansions - ehhhh. I really like SM. it's a great game, but I may have had my fill. it's just so creepy.
Suburbia w/ all expansions - still the reigning city builder
Winter Kingdom - starting to think it's a bit too convoluted for what it offers. maybe selling soon
Spirit Island w/ original promos - brilliant game. fun solo. I had some issues with it before, but the aesthetic of it just pulls me back in.
Robinson Crusoe - probably my favourite co-op game. patiently waiting for all my deluxe upgrade stuff which I'm sure will arrive any day now (crickets)
Neta-Tanka - little known worker placement, but the board is gorgeous and its got some variety in how it plays.
Brass: Birmingham - it's Brass, yo
Tak - maybe my favourite abstract. inside the Tak box is also a bag of Hive Pocket, a deck of cards, and some bits which I use to play Santorini as well

Camel Up - Camel Up is seriously one of the most brilliant designs of the last 30 years. I've been able to adapt to use in the classroom and my year-end Camel Up classes are hotly anticipated events
Black Orchestra - one of the best co-ops hands down. that final roll when you finally line up your shot is so tense
Ulm - it's Ulm. Ulm. but seriously, great game that plays quick with a fun action selection mechanic and some meaty decisions
Sniper Elite w/ expansion - best hidden movement game ever
Tigris and Euphrates - it's Tigris and Euphrates, yo
Tzolkin w/ expansion - after all these years, I am still no better at Tzolkin. it's such a brain burner

Lanterns - awesome quick game. have to be able to make some tricky decisions and pivot your strategy

Carcassonne: Winter Edition - it's Carcassonne, yo
Canvas - amazing design. 100% love
Isle of Skye - also amazing design. great scoring variety
Pic 4 from left, top to bottom
Star Trek: Fleet Captains w/ everything + more - was really into this game for a long time. Still love it, but starting to think about letting someone else love it for a while. I love Trek, and FC is trek in a box for sure, but I've played it a lot
Clash of Cultures: Monumental Edition - love hate with this game too. the early game is so much fun, but the late game just drags and all the things you have to remember when you fill out your tech tree can be just crazy
A la carte - most thematic game ever? love the little frying pans and the flip mechanic
Town League Hockey - I made dis. it's in the used Pandemic Legacy box
Gaia Project - loooove me some Gaia. can't wait for the expansion
Xia - ehhhhh. love hate with Xia too. got some opinions on it, but it's a pretty fun exploration game overall. I made a small expansion for it, too, so I must have some feelings for it

Cheers.

Tak - maybe my favourite abstract. inside the Tak box is also a bag of Hive Pocket, a deck of cards, and some bits which I use to play Santorini as well
Drop Drive - amazing upgrade on Dungeon Drop. pretty great variety. short turns. easy to play.
Blood Bowl: Team Manager w/ both expansions and all fan made Lgenedary stuff - seriously such a great game. especially if you're into Blood Bowl. haven't tried every team yet, but Nurgle 4 lyfe
Imhotep w/ expansion - love the I know he knows he knows I know doublethink of this game
Warpgate w/ expansion - if you're looking for an amazing tactical space themed game, you can't get better than Warpgate
Star Wars: Rebellion w/ expansion - love hate relationship, but it is a great game
Village w/ everything - I think my favourite worker placement game of all time. love the theme, the mechanics, and the decisions
Alchemists - I sold this when I was playing it on boiteajeux a lot, but had to pick it back up when boiteajeux died
Teotihuacan w/ most everything - fell in love with this game almost as soon as I saw it. I don't even know why I'm drawn to it, but I am
Pic 3 from left, top to bottom
Tao Long w/ everything - this is such a cool, gorgeous abstract. highly recommend
Blood Bowl: Team Manager: Legendary Expansion - is what's inside that Xia Embers box
At the Gates of Loyang - haven't played yet
Root w/ first 2 expansions + clockwork - sold Root a while ago, but the aesthetic had me coming back, and I decided to give it a shot solo. I was actually really surprised how well solo works for it
Day & Night - very little known area control card dueler, but it is a banger
Crossing - very light fun party game about pointing at things
Lanterns - awesome quick game. have to be able to make some tricky decisions and pivot your strategy
The Red Cathedral - cool small box game with quite a bit of meat to it
Imperium w/ Classics and Legends - just got this. have only played it once so far. looking forward to more plays
I made a small expansion for it, too, so I must have some feelings for it
Barrage w/ everything - seriously everything. I'm pretty sure I have everything Barrage related in that box, and it does not close down flush anymore.
Kanban EV - my favourite Lacerda
Galaxy Trucker Anniversary Edition - it's Galaxy Trucker, yo
Zombie Kidz - pretty decent co-op game for the kids
Hannibal and Hamilcar - haven't played yet. salivating at the chance
Sekigahara - my only block wargame. love it, but haven't played it in a while
On Mars - it's good. I think I used to like it a lot more. the mid game kind of bothers me a bit

Stumble Guys Patch Notes - Update 0.70

Stumblers in a Half-Shell

Stumble Guys Update 0.70
Get ready to kick shell, Stumblers! Brace yourselves for a radical journey as the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles invade the Stumble Guys realm!
But that's not all! Stay tuned for the latest addition: Block Dash Teams! Gather your crew and prepare to battle it out in team-based competition. Keep your eyes peeled for more surprises as you journey through the Stumbleverse!

NEW IP Collaboration

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) is a beloved franchise featuring Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello, and Raphael, led by their wise rat sensei Splinter. These masters of ninjutsu live in the sewers of New York City, embodying themes of teamwork, friendship, and justice as they battle villains like the Shredder. Known for their love of pizza, unique and fun personalities, and slogans like "Cowabunga!" and "Heroes in a half shell, turtle power!", TMNT has inspired fans worldwide to unleash their inner ninja in epic adventures.

NEW MAP

Turtle Tumble
Slip, slide and tumble through the sewers as you race to get home to the Turtles’ Lair. Avoid the Foot Clan who will try to block your progress and bump you off the path. Grab a slice of pizza on the way to boost your speed and take advantage of the shortcuts to beat the rest of your friends.
With this brand new Level, we are introducing some new hazards to avoid as well as power-ups to collect:
  • Avoid Foot Clan ninjas, if you hit them they will send you off your path and slow you down.
  • Pick up slides of Pizza to receive a speed boost.
    • Each Pizza slice will speed you up helping you to go faster and jump further.

FEATURES

Block Dash Teams
The moment we have been waiting for has arrived. Now we can play Block Dash as a team!
Get together with your friends to play in teams of 4 in Events and teams of 2 in Custom Parties, and face off against other teams in a massive fight for the crown! If one of your teammates gets eliminated, fear not! The newly crafted orbs will allow you to respawn them back into the game to keep the battle going! Here is how it works:
  • A maximum of 2 respawn orbs will appear on the map.
  • Each respawn orb appears in a random place on the map
  • Each respawn happens in a random amount of time after the last one was collected at a maximum of 12 seconds.
  • Collecting orbs will bring back players in the same order they have been eliminated, so they always come back in the same order they were eliminated (first out - first in)
  • You can collect orbs even if all your teammates are alive in order to make it more difficult for your rival teams to survive.

COSMETICS

Emotes
  • Power Jump
Struggling with that tricky jump? Need a boost at the last moment? Look no further! Introducing the new Special Emote: Power Jump! With the Power Jump, you'll soar higher and farther with a boosted leap.
The Power Jump enables you to reach greater heights than a standard jump. Whether you combine it with a regular jump or use it on its own, you'll have the flexibility to bridge wide gaps and conquer obstacles.
Unlike standard jumps that can propel you forward, the Power Jump solely increases your vertical height. When you execute a Power Jump, your character will ascend without moving horizontally.
If you've already built up horizontal velocity from a regular jump, the Power Jump will enhance your vertical leap without affecting your horizontal motion.
Starting with a Power Jump followed by a regular jump gives you an extra boost in height. However, you can still add horizontal velocity by incorporating a regular jump afterward.

Angenommen
Was könnte wohl deren Mission sein?

RADvolution jetzt!

Startpunkte in München

2024.04.05 15:22 Upstairs_Baseball_30 Verkehrschaos jetzt - was ist los?

Also wohl eher öffentlich laden.

2024.03.16 21:13 Get_Flomped I made wanderer - a self-hosted trail and GPS track database

I made wanderer - a self-hosted trail and GPS track database
https://preview.redd.it/bu1capuv7roc1.png?width=3232&format=png&auto=webp&s=45cb59e5d303b8fb73490fb8bed1779408bcbb39
Over the last two months, I developed wanderer. It is a self-hosted alternative to sites like alltrails.com or in other words a self-hosted trail database. It started out more as a small hobby project to teach myself some new technologies but in the end, I decided to develop it into a fully-fledged application.
Core Features:
  • Manage your trails
  • Extensive map integration and visualization
  • Share trails with other people and explore theirs
  • Advanced filter and search functionality
  • Create custom lists to organize your trails further
  • Chique design with a dark and light theme
  • Fully mobile compatible
wanderer is completely open-source. You can find the GitHub repo here: https://github.com/Flomp/wanderer
wanderer is still under active development so if you encounter any bugs/errors or have suggestions please let me know here or open an issue on GitHub.
EDIT: Thanks for all the positive feedback. To all those experiencing issues, please open a GitHub issue. I'll try resolve all major problems in the upcoming week.
